(OOC: Melanie’s characters where used with her permission)
In spite of her best efforts Jessie didn’t win the Roulette Title as she ultimately lost it to the other last Bombshell standing once all the others were eliminated namely Kate Steele, however that was behind Jessie as this year’s Blast from the Past Tournament had begun, so far the teams of Casey Williams and Roxi Johnson, Connor Murphy and Melanie Gabrielle also known as one of Jessie’s newest allies in The Angel Clan, CJ Sharpe and Kate Steele and Steve Ramone and Alexis Edwards have advanced to the second round of the tournament but now it was Jessie’s turn.
Jessie’s other teammate in The Angel Clan was teaming up with one of the surprise entrants to take on Tim Staggs and the another surprise entrant whilst Jessie was teaming up with Travis Nathanial Andrews to take on Keira Fisher and the last surprise entrant in the opening match of the night, can Jessie and TNA win the match and join the other teams in the second round?

To say that My Bloody Valentine II was a mixed bag for me is a pretty big understatement.
I made it to the final two of the Six Pack Challenge only to lose the match to Kate Steele who’s also competing in the tournament, beyond that? I found new allies in The Angel Clan and got to talk with Amy face to face for the first time since the New Year’s Eve party and on top of all that I found out who my partner was for Blast from the Past, namely Travis Nathanial Andrews.
I mentioned on Twitter that I have a really long list of people who I don’t want to team up with for the Blast from the Past Tournament and if you need to know why I didn’t want Steve as my partner you’re either a newcomer to SCW or you’ve been living under a rock since the start of 2015 but needless to say Steve was at the top of my list of guys I didn’t want to team with, Travis on the other hand?
Eh, I’m indifferent about him, he hasn’t had the best track record in SCW, in fact his last defeat was at Steve’s hands in the Fatal Four Way for the Roulette Title at My Bloody Valentine II, and his ego is almost as big as Steve’s, he feels the same way but if this team-up works it works, if it doesn’t then I’ll be eliminated from the first round of the Blast from the Past Tournament for the second year in a row.
Needless to say, the second option is the worst case scenario!
So you’re probably wondering why we’re in Pittsburg and not Eureka or Las Vegas, well if you’ve been watching my Twitter feed you’d know that Lucy offered me the chance to train with her as Melanie couldn’t make it for one reason or another, well I accepted but she didn’t mention that the training center was in Pittsburg only that I’d be meeting with another member of the Angel Clan by the name of Rachel, well a few hours and a plane ride later me and the boys have arrived at the training center ready for some more training jet lag be damned.
“I know this was slightly last minute but it’ll be worth it in the end.” Lucy commented as we got out of the car, I had been listening to the bands that Bloodstock announced on Monday, namely Unearth, Evil Scarecrow, Ghost Bath, Corrosion of Conformity and XII Boar for the entirety of the journey via my IPod and I was currently listening to the song “My Will Be Done” by Unearth. “I would’ve mentioned the plane ride but you know, character limit.”
“It’s fine, we mostly killed the time by jamming to some kickass music.” I responded as I removed the headphones from my ears and turned off the IPod. “Who owns this place anyway?”
“Daeb, another member of the Angel Clan and one of the few male members.” Lucy explained as we were led to the entrance. “He’s retired from wrestling but he keeps active via the gym, I don’t know if he’ll be in today or not.”
“Let’s say he is in, what can we expect from this Daeb?” Jake chimed in as he and Shane followed us into the gym, it looked well equipped from what I could see and the ring was in good shape as well.
“Eh, he’s a bit of an asshole but he won’t object to you two hanging around if that’s what you’re asking, he knows better than to mess with me and Rachel.” Lucy explained as we approached the ring, we could see that there was another woman already in the ring who was testing the ring ropes and Lucy whistled over to her. “Rachel, I’m sure you’ve heard of Jessie here.” Lucy called out to her and Rachel looked up.
“Ah yeah, your Jessie Salco from SCW.” Rachel commented once she recognized me and she walked over to the ring ropes that were facing us. “Name’s Rachel Rosangela, I wrestle for the UWF and I’m the GM at APW.” Rachel said as she extended her hand out for a handshake.
“Yeah, that’s me.” I responded with a grin as I accepted the handshake. “As for the guys, the shorter one’s my husband Shane and Jake here is my bigger brother.” I said as I motioned to them and Rachel looked them over.
“Well, I can certainly see why he’s called your bigger brother.” Rachel commented and Jake chuckled to himself.
“Rachel, if I had a dollar for every time someone said that to me I’d be set for life.” Jake responded getting laughs out of the Angel Clan members. “So I take it Lucy told you about the big matches she and Jessie have this week?”
“You mean the battle of the mystery teammates and you and Travis against Keira and the other mystery superstar? Yeah, she told me.” Rachel responded with a nod before stepping away from the ring ropes. “I saw Lucy and Melanie’s unsuccessful title match against Team Hero at My Bloody Valentine, looks like you’ve got a fight on your hands.”
“Maybe but it’s not exactly the first time that I’ve faced Keira even if I have more fighting experience against her wife Roxi.” I responded as I removed my jacket in order to get ready for the training session and the boys took a seat on a nearby bench. “Hell I was Roxi’s first opponent in SCW, I don’t exactly have the best record against her but we’re good friends.”
“Yeah but Roxi is one of the friendliest Bombshells in SCW so the same can be said for most of the roster.” Shane pointed out as me and Lucy entered the ring to begin our training session, needless to say it was an intense training session but considering who I was training with that was hardly a surprise, about an hour into the training session we heard the door to the manager’s office open and I glanced up.
“Rachel, I’m going out for something to eat.” A guy who I could only assume was Daeb commented as he walked out of the office. “I shouldn’t be too…...” The guy trailed off before he saw us. “Oh, I didn’t see you there Lucy.”
“Obviously.” Lucy commented as she rolled her eyes. “This is Jessie, the new recruit from SCW?”
“Ah yeah, the metal chick, names Daeb, I run the place.” The guy responded with a nod before turning to Jake and Shane. “And I thought I said no hanger…….”
“Shut up Daeb they’re with us.” Rachel cut him off and Daeb went to say something in response before thinking better of it.
“Besides, it wouldn’t exactly be good press for this gym if word got out that you kicked out a former member of the Armed Forces.” I chimed in and Jake took the time to show Daeb his tattoo on his right shoulder of the US Army’s logo. “Especially with election time coming up.”
“Damn it, you’ve got a point there.” Daeb admitted before shaking his head. “Like I said, I’m off to get something to eat, if you girls finish up by the time I get back try to remember to wash up after yourselves.” Daeb finished before he left the gym shutting the door behind him, once he left Lucy chuckled to herself.
“Barely been a member of the clan for a week and you’re already putting Daeb in his place.” Lucy commented as Rachel chuckled. “I think it’s safe to say that you’ll fit in just fine.”
“Well, that and I wasn’t about to let him kick them out.” I commented as I motioned to the boys. “I mean Jake might tower over me but there isn’t that much of an age difference between us anyway.”
“Yeah, that’s right, rub in the fact that I’m turning thirty this year.” Jake responded as he rolled his eyes and we laughed at that, the training continued for a few more hours only briefly interrupted when Daeb returned from whatever takeout place he had gone too and once those few hours were up Lucy checked the time. “Ten o’clock, time flies.”
“Yeah, no shit.” I responded as I glanced up at the clock. “I’m guessing that we’re not flying back?”
“We’ll be training here for a couple of more days before we head back, don’t worry, I booked you guys a hotel.” Lucy responded as she left the ring and handed a piece of paper to Jake which I assumed had the Zip Code on it. “Good thing you packed up some stuff when I told you that we were going out of state.”
“Disregarding the fact that it was at the last minute.” Jake responded as he pocketed the paper. “What day are we heading back anyway?”
“Friday morning.” Lucy responded as she glanced over at Jake. “This won’t be a regular occurrence but it was good for Jessie to meet another member of The Angel Clan, over the next few weeks she should be acquainted with the others.”
“Weeks? Given how many members of The Angel Clan there are she’ll still be meeting new members by Christmas Time.” Rachel joked getting a laugh out of Lucy before the Russian Bombshell entered the locker room to get changed, Rachel turned to me and looked me over. “Well, in terms of skill I can see what Lucy and Mel saw in you, in terms of looks I will say that Shane’s a lucky bastard.”
“I get told the same thing whenever we go to Bloodstock, I’m used to it.” Shane responded earning a confused look from Rachel. “It’s a heavy metal festival in England, fairly small by outdoor festival standards but it’s still one of the best festivals we’ve ever been too.”
“Oh yeah, Lucy did mention that.” Rachel remembered with a nod. “I just forgot the name of the festival she mentioned, anyway, Jess, good luck against Keira and whoever her partner is, I think you’ll need it.”
“I know I’ll need it but thanks.” I thanked her before Rachel left the ring to join Lucy in the Locker Room, I stepped out onto the apron and sat down on it in order to catch my breath. “I feel like I’ve just gone through basic training.”
“As someone who has been through basic training, I know that feeling.” Jake responded as he tossed me a water bottle which I caught. “Take it from me, you’ll wake up tomorrow with your body hating you for most of the morning, provided we don’t sleep in until the afternoon which could happen since I don’t know Pittsburgh, at all, even with the Zip Code Lucy gave me for the GPS.”
“As long as we’re not still driving around Pittsburgh by the time Climax Control rolls around I’m not complaining.” I responded as I took a sip from the water bottle. “Anyway, I think I’ll do my promo before we head off, meet you guys by the rental car?”
“Sure, there’s more water bottles here if you want some.” Jake said as he motioned to a six pack of water bottles by the bench that they were sitting on before they stood up and left the gym, now that I was alone I decided to get started on my promo.
“My Bloody Valentine II could’ve gone a lot better, I won’t deny that for a second, but that’s behind me and right now I’m focusing on the Blast from the Past Tournament and my match this week, in my first match of the tournament I’m teaming up with Travis Nathanial Andrews to take on Keira Fisher and one of several mystery competitors in the tournament in the hopes that I’ll advance to the next round of the tournament and with the woman who beat me to win the SCW Bombshell Roulette Title already through to the next round, well it just gives me a little extra motivation to meet her in the next round!”
And I’m starting with Keira.
“Normally when I start with the female competitor in the Blast from the Past Tournament it’s because that’s the one I’m legally allowed to fight but in this case it’s a combination of that and the fact that neither of us know who Keira is teaming with in this match, so with that said, Keira, you may be one half of the Bombshell Tag Team Champions and your wife may be through to the next round already but I’m here to make sure that Roxi won’t be seeing her wife advance to the next round with her!”
Simple as that.
“We’ve had our problems in the past Keira, mostly related to Amy turning her back on Roxi last year and my decision to join her in that regard, but this tournament isn’t about rivalries it’s about celebrating the past and promoting the present, in other words it’s all business and nothing personal! Granted that hasn’t always been the case but that’s beside the point, Keira as far as I’m concerned you’re just a stepping stone on my road to the top of the Bombshell Division!”
Now onto the mystery man.
“I don’t have a lot to say about Keira’s partner because the only ones who know his identity are the bosses and the mystery man himself! That said I will say this, I don’t care if it’s some returning superstar or Steve Ramone under a mask, though I wouldn’t exactly put it past him to try to pull that stunt, because there’s no way that they are stopping me or Andrew from advancing.”
I said as I hopped off the apron and picked up my jacket.
“Granted there are a lot of names that Christian could’ve gotten to return for the tournament, hell he’s already gotten Amanda Cortez to return to the ring which just makes me hope that Lucy wins her match even more so who knows who else has returned? But more importantly, who cares? Christian could’ve raised a dead wrestler from the grave to compete in this tournament and we’d still kick their asses back into the coffin because as far as I’m concerned me and Travis are heading to the finals!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
“Keira’s talented, don’t get me wrong, but if her mystery partner is someone like Hope Heelcum then she’s screwed, plain and simple! And not in the fun way either! As far as Team Whisky A-Go-Go goes we are heading straight to the top and there’s no one on the roster that can stop us, doesn’t matter if it’s my allies in The Angel Clan or the current Bombshell Champ Sam Marlowe because I am the Metal Angel Jessie Salco and I will strike you down!”
I left the gym as the scene fades.
