 After a long suspension Steve took the opportunity presented by Mark Ward being in charge of last week’s Climax Control to not only get reinstated but get his new bodyguards, former SCW wrestler Cyrus King and former ASW wrestler Andreas Bergfalk, signed to contracts through unusual methods but there was a method to his madness as he is now back on the roster.

This week saw his return match as he was taking on Old Skool in singles competition, apparently signed to halt Steve’s momentum in its tracks this match was opening this week’s Climax Control from Malaga, Spain but Steve had other plans including a grand return, can he pull it off?

Honestly, it feels like I’m stepping into the ring for the first time in my career again.

Obviously that’s not true but given how long I was on that suspension for it definitely feels like it but let me say this, if Christian’s intent was to humble me by putting me on suspension, well, let me put it this way.

Look at all the stunts I pulled at SCW shows after my suspension, look at my short lived Vlog series, did I look like a humbled man? No? Good.

As for how Cyrus and Andreas fit into the picture, well, Cyrus has been working the US independent scene since he left SCW last year but he was met with a double edged sword, his wife had gotten pregnant sometime in January and as much as he tried to make it work there was no way that working for small companies would help him support his first child so he had a choice, either give up wrestling or join SCW again and he saw my suspension as a way back into the company.

As for Andreas? Well it’s simple, the big, hairy Swede just wanted a chance to work for SCW despite the fact that they didn’t want to hire him as a wrestler and he approached me at the same time as Cyrus, rather than go with one or the other I decided to just hire both and leave it at that, but knowing how trying being a first time dad would be for Cyrus from personal experience I needed to get them on and contracts and get reinstated fast.

Thank god for Christian’s anniversary am I right?

It’s not like I’m going to have any ring rust when I return to the ring this Sunday, I’ve been training for my return since my suspension began since I knew that I would eventually return to the ring and that either Christian would get sick of my shit and lift the suspension or I could get through to Mark and get him to lift the suspension behind Christian’s back.

And anyone who watched last week’s Climax Control knows what I ended up doing.

As for what we are up too, well now that the preparations for my grand return have been put in place we decided to celebrate our return with a nice meal out and initially we tried to look for a restaurant online and decide what we wanted before we arrived at the restaurant but we encountered a problem, none of the restaurants in the area on TripAdvisor had online menus, trust me I looked, so instead we decided to drive around until we found a place.

Andreas spotted the place, it looked nice and had available tables so we pulled up!

“Peekaboo.” Cyrus said as he covered his face in front of Sophie as Charlotte tried not to laugh, Sophie didn’t laugh when Cyrus uncovered his face and Cyrus sighed. “How am I supposed to prepare for my kid like this?”

“Considering that Sophie’s turning seven this year and your kid hasn’t even been born yet?” I pointed out and Cyrus nodded in response. “Seriously Cyrus, you’ll be a good dad, don’t worry.”

“Easy for you to say, this is my first kid.” Cyrus responded as he took a sip from his drink. “Thanks for accepting my offer by the way.”

“Well considering that I’ve managed to make enemies of the rest of the SCW roster during the course of my suspension it pretty much had to be done.” I added as I took I a sip from my drink. “Andreas just happened to come along for the ride.”

“I saw an opportunity and I took it, unlike the bosses of SCW who chose to sign Tim Staggs, Owen James and others.” Andreas grunted as he took a sip from his drink. “Working the Arizona indies was fun but it didn’t put that much food on the table so to speak, I almost considered retiring all together and focussing on my farm until Cyrus got in contact.”

“Whilst we’re on the subject, what are we going to do about Dark Defender? He didn’t attack us last week despite winning his match against Thaddeus.” Cyrus pointed out and I frowned when I realized that he had a point.

“We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it, for now I’m going to focus on Old Skool being my first opponent since Mark ended my suspension.” I responded and they nodded before they started talking amongst themselves, whilst they were doing that I turned to Charlotte. “Babe, are you okay? You seem nervous.”

“You’ve pissed off almost everyone else on the SCW roster, your bodyguards include a guy who was known as The Wild Man of ASW and the guy who nearly hit Misty after you and Odette eliminated his team during last year’s Blast from the Past Tournament, I think I have a right to be worried.” Charlotte responded and I frowned when I heard that. “And yeah, I know that was because Cyrus was frustrated over his loss at the time but still.”

“I don’t think he would’ve attacked her anyway, we all saw what happened to Tom Dudely after he attacked his partner in the first Blast from the Past.” I responded and Charlotte nodded. “Look, I know this is a lot of stress for you but try not to worry about it, for the sake of our baby okay?”

“Steve, if it was that simple I wouldn’t be worried.” Charlotte responded as the waitress came over with our meals, steak for me and the boys and sea bass for Charlotte, we ate the food, it was great and we were stuffed afterwards but that wasn’t going to stop me from doing my promo. “Okay so who’s paying?”

“I’ve already blown my budget on my grand return and paying you guys so I’m out.” I responded and Charlotte rolled her eyes. “Just remember that that’ll be the last time I’ll pay you since you are both on SCW contracts now.”

“We know the drill.” Cyrus nodded in response before checking the contents of his wallet. “I have more than enough euros to pay for the meal and tip the waitress, this one’s on me.”

“Good, I have a promo to do so I’ll wait for you guys outside?” I asked and they nodded before I stood up and left the restaurant as Cyrus called the waitress over, I knew I had a few minutes so I decided to get started. “Let me get one thing out of the way, no I’m not waging a one man war against NXT since that seems to be the popular thing for returning assholes to do, no I’m waging a one man war against the rest of the SCW roster!”

What? You thought those comments I made in my Vlog were nothing?

“Confused? Let me spell it out for, I want gold, I want titles, Roulette, World, Tag Team if I can find someone who wants to team with me, hell even the Internet Championship I don’t care what title I get because I’m fighting tooth and nail to climb my way up the ladder, I usually hate rap but I think this quote is appropriate, I started from the bottom and now I’m going to work my way to the top, yes I know that’s not the real lyrics but like I said, I hate rap and it’s pretty appropriate that my first opponent since my suspension was lifted seems to be a guy who listens to rap music by the name of Old Skool!”

This will be quick.

“That’s Old Skool with a k because apparently poor literacy is kewl, I’m probably the first wrestler to use a running gag from Atop the Fourth Wall in a promo but that’s beside the point, Old Skool you and I have something in common, namely that we have returned to the company recently, major difference? People remember my SCW run before my suspension, granted I was suspended a couple of months ago but I still did memorable things, you? Does anyone honestly remember your first SCW run?”

Don’t answer that, we all know the answer.

“Here’s the thing Old Skool, when I return it’ll be the beginning of my career resurgence and you, alongside Dark Defender, will be my stepping stone to doing what I should’ve done years ago but didn’t because being a nice, cocky guy was holding me back, winning titles, and now that I’m the egomaniacal asshole who gave himself the nickname “The Fearless One” I’m ready to recreate my GWA success in SCW!”

I said before shaking my head.

“You know, it’s sad that I never got to continue my Vlog series because a certain someone filed a copyright claim against my YouTube Channel which normally wouldn’t be so bad but this was my third strike so to speak and YouTube terminated my account, and yes Christian, I know it was you! What am I getting at? I never got to cover your return to SCW on my account but it’s not like it matters since you’ve done jack shit since returning, when I return I’ll return with a bang and I’ll continue to get myself noticed in the weeks that follow.”

Cyrus and Andreas walked up behind me and Cyrus whispered that Charlotte was waiting for me in the car with Sophie, I knew it was wrap up time and I whispered some instructions to them, they nodded and folded their arms menacingly as I turned to the camera ready to wrap things up.

“Let me introduce you to my friends Cyrus and Andreas, I may be fearless but I’m not stupid and they will have my back in the weeks that come and yes, that includes this match, Old Skool I’m about to send you to the Special Needs Class because you must be special if you think you stand a chance against me, after all there’s nothing to fear but fear itself and no one to fear but The Fearless One Steve Ramone alongside Cyrus King and Andreas Bergfalk, see you in the ring!”

I walked over to my rent-a-car as the scene fades.
