After Climax Control

Climax Control hasn’t been off the air for very long, and all in all it turned out to be a very successful show leading up to High Stakes IV.  The night featured it’s annual Halloween themed matches, including the Haunted House match, in which Rage faced off against “The Soulless One” Horane Jackson.  Needless to say, Rage wasn’t happy about having to face Horace Jackson as it was, but when he drew the Haunted House match as the stipulation, it only made his desire for the match that much worse.

However, Rage had managed to just barely squeak by with the win against Horace, though Horace was at fault.  He had speared Rage across the “finish” line so-to-speak and Rage was declared the winner.  Rage wasn’t complaining, however, and he walked away from the Haunted House satisfied with whatever win he could get.  Unfortunately for him, the person waiting for him wasn’t going to return his satisfaction with the outcome.

Rage is currently walking around backstage, searching for the rest of the Sins.  He’s ready to get the hell out of North Carolina and move on to High Stakes IV, against whatever worthless opponent they throw at him next.  As he walks down the hall towards the dressing rooms, he spots Kittie waiting for him outside of the dressing room.  She has her arms folded, but Rage notices she’s holding his phone in her hand, and she doesn’t look impressed one bit.

Rage: What is your problem now, Kittie?

He walks up to her, looking confused at the clear mood she is in.  She looks up at him and rolls her eyes.

Kittie: What the hell was that, exactly?

Rage: What are you talking about?

Kittie: That Haunted House match against Horace!  What the fuck, Rage?!

Rage raises an eyebrow, now completely baffled.

Rage: Uh…were you not watching the same match that I was in, because I remember walking out of there as the winner.

Kittie: Yeah, thanks to Horace!  You almost lost that shit!

Rage: You’re joking, right?  Who cares how I won the damn match.  I still won!

Kittie: Who cares?  Dipshit, almost doesn’t mean shit in this business.  You should know that.

Rage lets out a growl and brings his hand up to rub his temples.  He opens his eyes again to glare down at Kittie, annoyed.

Rage: Look, that fucking match doesn’t count in my book.  It wasn’t even a real match so, again, who the fuck cares how I won?  Horace was the dumbass that made the mistake of hitting that spear so close to the exit.  I wouldn’t have made that same mistake.

Kittie: You really need to figure shit out, because you’re getting sloppy out there.  You need to start caring, because like I said, if you don’t, you’ll never get the heavyweight title back.

Rage rolls his eyes again and shakes his head.  Kittie is suddenly reminded that she is holding Rage’s phone when it starts buzzing in her hand.  Now she is the one rolling her eyes as she holds it out to him.

Rage: Why the hell did you have my phone?

Kittie: Because I heard it going off in your bag so I took it out to check it.  I don’t recognize the number but the same person keeps calling every few minutes.

Rage glances at the screen on his phone.  He shrugs when he doesn’t recognize the number and chooses not to answer the call.

Rage: Not a familiar number to me anyway.  I’ll let it go to voicemail fuck them…I’m not calling them back.

Kittie: Rage, they’ve left you several voicemails already.  Maybe you should just check your damn messages or answer the phone so they’ll stop calling?

Realizing she has a point Rage decides to check his messages.  Kittie stands there, staring at him curiously as he listens to several messages, but it is the last one that gets Rage’s attention.  The color in Rage’s face fades and he leans against the wall, almost shocked.  Kittie looks slightly concerned as he slowly puts his phone back in his pocket, left slightly speechless.

Kittie: What is it?  Who was trying to call you?

Rage: It..it was Ashley.  The old bastard finally kicked the bucket.

Kittie: Huh?  What are you—

Rage: My father, Kittie.  My piece of shit father is finally dead.

Kittie’s eyes widen a little bit, equally surprised to hear this news.  She takes in a deep breath, wondering what to say.

Kittie: Sooo…what is next, then?  How did your sister even get your number?

Rage shrugs.

Rage: Fuck if I know, but she got it.  They want me to come to the funeral.

Kittie: Why?  You had no relationship with him for over twenty years, and possibly even longer than that.  Why the hell would they expect you to go?

Rage again shrugs, but he says nothing in response.  An awkward silence falls between the two until he looks up from the floor, directly at Kittie.  One look at him and Kittie knows what is coming next.  She starts shaking her head.

Kittie: No…You can’t be serious?

Rage: I have to go, Kittie, and before you ask why, you should know why.  I thought that asshole was dead for over twenty years until recently.  I need proof.  I need to see that he’s actually dead.

Kittie: Look…I get that, but—

Rage: No buts, Kittie.  I’m going to that funeral with or without you.

Kittie shakes her head, thinking things through.  She takes in a deep breath then throws her hands up, defeated.

Kittie: Well I’m not about to let you deal with that alone.  Let’s just go tell Synn—

Rage immediately shakes his head and takes a step forward.

Rage: No!  We are NOT telling Synn or the others.  They don’t have to know.

Kittie: What?  Why don’t they have to know?  Rage, they’re not going to give you a hard time about this.  Why can’t you just accept all of our support?

Rage: It’ll just get too…crowded.  Not to mention, you’re more familiar with this shit than they are.  You’ll be there.  I don’t need any more support.

Kittie sighs and shakes her head.  She goes to say something but Rage stops her.

Rage: I’m serious, Kittie.  You better swear you won’t tell them.

Kittie: Come on, Rage…Why do you have to keep shit from them?

Rage: Because it’s my fucking decision!

Rage then storms into the dressing room without giving Kittie a chance to respond.  She stands there, speechless for a moment before she slowly walks into the dressing room, deciding on what she’s going to do about this latest situation.

Tuesday October 28th
Forest Hills Cemetery
Boston, MA

It’s a cool and rainy day in Boston, Massachusetts, and today is the day that the Sullivan family says their final goodbyes to the patriarch of the family.  Michael Sullivan, Rage’s father, is being laid to rest in the Forest Hills Cemetery of his childhood home.  Rage had chosen not to go to the wake the night before, and his family had no idea he was even going to be at the funeral.

As Rage drives his rental car through the entrance of the cemetery, he can see the line of cars just ahead behind the hurse.  A large awning is set up at the graveside service, and the friends and family of Michael Sullivan are surrounded around the grave under a sea of umbrellas.  Rage parks a distance away, choosing to watch from a distance.  What he isn’t expecting, however, is seeing every member of the Seven Deadly Sins standing at the back of the crowd, waiting for him and Kittie.  Synn, Despayre, Shane, Fantasia, Gabriel, Odette and even Melody Grace are all there to show their support.  Even Chris Shipman, who had only recently returned to the Sins and barely knew Rage, was there standing amongst the Seven Deadly Sins Family.

Rage turns and looks at Kittie before the exit the vehicle, but he doesn’t utter a single word. He just lets out a low growl and Kittie bites her bottom lip innocently.  They each grab their umbrellas and step out of the car, and head over towards the graveside service, which is just about to begin.

Synn is the first to spot the pair as they are slowly walking towards the others.  When he steps away, everyone follows behind him.  The meet up with Rage and Kittie and Shane can’t help but be the first one to comment on the big man’s appearance.

Shane: Damn, mate.  I never realized you were capable of cleaning up so well.  Look at you.

Rage rolls his eyes as Shane points out Rage’s choice of attire, which consists of a nice pair of black pants, a white button up shirt with a jacket over it.  Compared to his normal jeans and a white muscle t-shirt, it’s definitely a big improvement. Kittie is even dressed a little nicer, but Shane doesn’t comment on that.

Rage: I would have been just fine wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but little miss bossy here wouldn’t let me.  What the hell are you guys doing here?  You weren’t supposed to find out about this.

Rage glares at Kittie from the corner of his eye and her eyes widen, proclaiming innocence.

Kittie: What?!  I only told Angel!

Gabriel chuckles at that.

Gabriel: Yeah, and we all know how well *HE* can keep a damn secret.

Despayre: Hey!

Before things get out of hand and the group makes a scene, Synn clears his throat and grabs everyone’s attention.

Synn: We’re here, Rage, because you need us to be.  Whether you agree with that or not, it’s true.  What type of human beings would we be if we let you go through this without our support?

Rage: Smart ones…

Synn frowns, but he doesn’t get the chance to respond again as behind them, the reverends voice is heard as he begins to talk.  Rage is the first to head over towards the grave and the others follow behind him.  Rage’s mother and sister spot him, as well as the rest of the Sins, but they only focus on him.  A smile appears on each of their faces as they look in his direction but he refuses to acknowledge either one of them.  A younger man, appearing to be in his late twenties, is standing next to Ashley, and one can only assume that he is their younger brother, Phillip.  He, too, notices Rage, but he has no clue who he is.

Phillip tunes out the reverend’s words as he stares at Rage and the rest of his Seven Deadly Sins family.  He glances at his mother and sister, and the smiles on their faces as they look at Rage, but he still can’t put two and two together.  After a few moments, Ashley places her hand on Phillip’s back as the reverend finishes the eulogy.

Rage watches intently as his father’s casket is lowered into the ground.  After being invited to a luncheon at the Sullivan home, some people take their final opportunity to drop a flower into the grave with Michael’s casket.  Eventually they all make their way back to their vehicles and leave the cemetery before heading to the Sullivan home.

Rage, however, stays behind for a few moments.  The rest of the Sins stand and watch as Rage stands over his father’s open grave, staring down at the casket.  Eventually Gabriel is the first to speak up, breaking the silence between them.

Gabriel: What are you waiting for, peanut head?

Rage’s fists can be seen clenching at his sides, but he keeps his eyes locked on the casket.  Kittie takes a few steps forward, standing directly behind him, but she doesn’t say a word…yet.

Rage: Ya know…I’m looking at the casket...I see it...but a huge part of me isn’t convinced the bastard is actually dead.  How fucked up is that?

Kittie: I told you that you should have gone to the wake last night, Rage.  Now you’re probably considering jumping into that grave and opening the damn casket.

Melody shrieks, hoping he doesn’t and even Despayre hides behind Synn to shield himself from witnessing it.  Rage shakes his head and turns around, and all worried eyes are focused on him, wondering what he’s going to do.  Even Odette is clinging to Gabriel.

Rage: Please, that’s more up Shipman’s alley.

Rage glances at Shipman, but Shipman doesn’t say a word.  Gabriel looks over to Shipman and with a smirk, he makes his next statement.

Gabriel: You might be right about that one, bud.

Fantasia: Perhaps we should all head on over to the house for that luncheon and discuss things there.  I don’t think they will finish the burial with all of us standing around the grave.

Everyone nods in agreement.  Rage turns around to look down at his father’s casket one last time.  He kneels down, getting as close as he can before he speaks words he wishes he would have said to the old man before his passing.

Rage: Burn in hell ya lousy bastard.

Rage even goes so far as to spit into the grave, sealing his feelings for his father.  Synn and the others make their way to their rental cars, with Rage and Kittie following behind them and getting into their own rental as they head to Rage’s family’s home.

********************

A short while later, the Sins are all gathered inside the home that Rage had only recently visited.  Rage seems genuinely umcomfortable being there, given he hasn’t been a part of the Sullivan family for over twenty years, but because the Sins were curious, he went along with it.  And although none of them knew Michael Sullivan personally, he was still Rage’s father, so they chose to be there.

As other guests are scattered throughout the home, sharing various fond memories of Michael Sullivan, Rage does his best to avoid the occasional glances his way as they try and figure out who he is.  None of them make it a point to question him about any memories of Michael Sullivan, nor on who he is, but that is probably a good thing as all Rage has are mostly confusing horrible memories.

Despayre is seen clinging to Synn, with Angel clutched in his arms, when he looks up at Synn curiously.

Despayre: Angel doesn’t get why people always have to eat so much at these…HEY!  Chocolate cake!  When did that get here?!

Before you know it, Despayre is skipping away towards a table where he spots a chocolate cake.  Melody Grace joins him, keeping the pair occupied for a little while at least.  This gives the others a chance to make conversation with the big man.

Shane: So, my formerly bald-headed friend, when were ya planning on telling us about this family of yours?  I thought they were dead?

Fantasia: Shane…

Shane: What?  It’s a fair question!

Fantasia shakes her head, but all eyes fall on Rage as they wait for him to answer the question.  He takes in a deep breath, not ready to answer these questions, especially not given their current location.

Rage: I told the only ones I wanted to know.  Synn and Kittie knew about the situation.  They were the only ones that needed to know at the time.

Gabriel: You’ve got a skewed perspective on things, peanut head.

Odette: Baby, take it easy on him.  He’s just lost his father.

Rage looks at Odette and lets out a laugh.

Rage: So?  Do you honestly think I give a damn?  The guy wasn’t my father.  He was a sperm donor and a lousy excuse for a father to me.

Synn: But your father none-the-less.  You said when you spoke to him last month he was trying to tell you the truth about what happened when you were a little boy.

Rage: Yeah and now he’s dead.  It doesn’t matter anymore.

Rage has no idea that his little brother has just walked up behind him.  Kittie is trying to point this out to Rage before he says something inappropriate, but unfortunately it’s too late.

Rage: My only regret is not being here to watch that bastard take his last breath.

Phillip narrows his eyes as he glares at the back of Rage’s skull.

Phillip: Who the hell are you to talk about my father like that?

Rage lifts his head and slowly turns around.  He faces his brother for the first time in over twenty years and looks into his eyes.  Rage knows who he is and he just looks at Phillip with a sick smile on his face.  Phillip grows more annoyed as Rage doesn’t answer his question.

Phillip: Answer my question, damn it.  Who the hell are you and what are you doing here?  How did you know my father?

Rage turns to look at Synn and Kittie.  Neither have the slightest idea on how to suggest he handle this.  Several feet away, Ashley and her mother, Marie, are seen talking to a couple people.  Their attention is stolen away, however, as they spot Phillip approaching Rage, and they immediately excuse themselves from their current conversation as they head over to them.

Rage: Why don’t you ask your sister and mother, kid?

Phillip narrows his eyes again, though it’s more out of curiosity than anger.  Ashley and Marie have just walked up to them, and they each stand on one side of him.  Phillip looks back and forth between the two.

Phillip: Would somebody please answer who the fuck this guy is?

Shane is about to point out the fact that Phillip used similar language to that of Rage’s every day vocabulary, but Fantasia gently nudges him and shakes her head, and he keeps quiet.  Rage looks at his mother and his sister, wondering quietly how they are going to answer Phillip.

Marie: Phillip, honey, maybe we should take this out in the backyard.  It’s a very complicated situation.

Ashley: Mom is right.  There are too many people here and this needs to be kept in private.

Rage starts laughing quietly as Phillip glares at him, but the younger Sullivan sibling refuses to step outside.

Phillip: No!  I won’t step aside!  Not until you tell me who this asshole is!

Shane leans in towards Gabriel.

Shane: I can see the family resemblance..

He whispers so the others can’t hear but Gabriel nods with a smile and a slight laugh but both Fantasia and Odette look to their men, warning them to keep quiet.  Synn also gives them a warning glance, and the two immediately quiet down.

Kittie takes a defensive step towards Rage, knowing what the big man is capable of if pushed too far.  Rage glares at Ashley, waiting for her or their mother to answer.

Ashley: Phillip, please…

Marie: Now is not the time for things to get heated…

Phillip: It wouldn’t be getting heated if someone would just answer the damn question!

Realizing that Ashley and his mother have no plans on telling Phillip who he is, Rage takes a step towards Phillip.  Kittie goes to grab his arm to hold him back, but Rage yanks his arm away.

Rage: Since mother and daughter here won’t give ya answers, I’ll do ya a favor and be the nice one.  You’re so curious as to who I am?  Well, little brother, how does it feel seeing your big brother for the first time in over twenty years?

Phillip’s eyes widen and he takes a step back.  He shakes his head in disbelief, but as he turns and looks at his sister and mother.  One look at their faces and he knows it’s true.  He points to Rage while keeping his eyes locked on Ashley and Marie.

Phillip: He…HE is Jake?  I..I thought he was dead?!

Rage lets out a loud laugh and shakes his head.

Rage: Looks like we have something in common, kid.

Phillip: Don’t fucking call me kid again.  I’m NOT a kid!

Marie: Phillip, please calm down.

Rage folds his arms across his chest, staring at his little brother.  Phillip shakes his head as several of their guests now turn their attention to this family reunion of sorts, watching from a distance.

Phillip: Quit telling me to calm down!  How the hell am I supposed to calm down?

Rage continues to laugh and this further agitates Phillip.  He spins around and steps forward towards Rage, almost threatening his much larger brother.

Phillip: I don’t know what the fuck YOU are laughing at!  They told me you were dead.  Now, why would they do that?

Rage: I don’t know…maybe the same fucking reason I thought all of YOU were dead ya little jackass.  I suggest you back off before—

Phillip: Before what?  What are you gonna do to me, big brother?

Rage glares down at Phillip as he gets right into his chest.  Phillip is clearly not intimidated by him and as it becomes clearer that Rage wants nothing more than to bash his skull in, Kittie steps up next to him.

Kittie: I think maybe we should—

Rage: Not now, Kittie…

Phillip: You wanna know something, big brother?  I don’t know what the hell you’re doing here, but you’re not welcome here.  Not in my eyes.  I may not remember what the hell happened when we were kids, but I remember all the shit I had to deal with after you supposedly died.  Dad was so wrecked with guilt over whatever happened, that the asshole took everything out on me!

Ashley: Phillip!  You know that’s not—

Rage is taken by surprise at this latest revelation and Phillip spins around to face his sister.  By this time, Marie is visibly upset and she is looking around at all the guests, quietly apologizing for this argument.  She turns back to her youngest son as he now glares at his sister.

Phillip: Enough with the lies, Ashley!  I don’t know why you didn’t bother telling him everything I had to put up with when I was growing up, but quite frankly, I don’t give a shit.  I’m done.  To hell with all of you!

Marie tries to step forward to comfort her son and start to explain, but he doesn’t give her the chance.  He storms off, grabbing his coat from off the rack near the door and storms out of the house.  Rage stands there, fuming, but frozen where he stands.  Ashley looks at him, trying to figure out how to explain, but Rage breaks the silence.

Rage: Is…is he telling the truth?

Ashley: Jake, it’s compli—

Rage: It’s a yes or no question, damn it!

Ashley jumps a little as Rage yells at her.  Marie is now in tears, but unable to speak, and the rest of the Sins are watching in a stunned silence.  They were just given a crash course in Rage’s history.  Ashley looks at Rage and takes in a deep breath.

Ashley: Ye-yes…In a way, there is some truth to what he said.

They are all left completely stunned.  Rage takes a step back, pulling at his hair frustratedly.  No one knows what to say, and when Kittie places her hand on Rage’s back, he jumps and moves away.

Rage: Don’t…Don’t touch me!  I…I can’t deal with this shit!

Ashley: Jake, you have to let us explain!

Rage: Fuck you!  Don’t even bother!

Rage soon does what Phillip did just minutes before as he storms out of the house, leaving nothing but curious eyes staring in the direction of his mother and sister.  Kittie turns around and looks at Synn and the others, holding up her hand.

Kittie: Let me handle this.

Moments later she rushes out of the house, trying to catch up with Rage as Gabriel, Odette, Shane and Fantasia all look towards Synn.  Synn looks around, shaking his head in confusion when Melody, Despayre and Angel walk back up to them.  Despayre looks to Synn and with a disappointed look on his face, asks his father a question.

Despayre: Angel says we missed the family reunion with Rage and his little brother.  Are they coming back?

Melody turns to Odette and Gabriel with a shocked look on her face.

Melody: Rage-Face has a little brother?!  Why am I the last to know?!

Melody then turns and looks towards the door, hoping to see Rage or his brother walk back in the house.  Sadly, they are all left disappointed and in an awkward situation as neither Rage nor his brother return to the house.  In the end, the Sins have no other choice but to express their condolences to Rage’s mother and sister before they take their leave.
********************

After Kittie had chased after Rage and tried to catch up to him, her attempt had failed and she was forced to watch as he sped off down the street and away from his family’s home.  Not long after, when the Sins were leaving, she had then drive her back to the hotel so she could try and talk to him and hopefully calm him down.  Knowing Rage as well as she did, she wasn’t expecting to have much luck.

She’s standing outside his hotel room door, taking her time in knocking.  Today had been a rough day for Rage, whether he was willing to admit it or not, and she can only imagine how he’ll react to her being there.  He might not even answer the door, but she came prepared this time with a spare key in her pocket.

*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*

As she suspected, Rage doesn’t come to the door.  She knocks a few more times, waiting for any sort of response but she doesn’t hear a single sound inside the room.  She is left with no choice but to use her key to open the door.

Kittie: Rage…are you…okay?

When Kittie opens the door, she walks into a completely darkened room.  The only indication that Rage is even inside is the sound of his breathing from across the room..then by the ominous sound of his voice.

Rage: Get the fuck out of here, Kittie.

Kittie searches around for a light switch so she can see just where Rage is at in the room.  He can hear her fumbling around, tapping the wall.

Rage: Keep the light off.

Kittie: Fuck that.  I can’t see!

Rage: So then leave.

Kittie doesn’t heed his warning and continues fumbling around until she finds the light switch and turns on one set of lights.  It illuminates the room just enough so she can see Rage seated on the floor across the room, with his back against the wall.  He has his knees propped up, and his arms draped over his knees and he’s just staring forward.  Kittie takes one look at him and shakes her head.

Kittie: Jesus Christ, Rage.  Get the hell up off the floor.

Rage just shakes his head and glances at Kittie quickly before he looks away.  Kittie takes a few steps towards him, and this brings his eyes back to her.

Kittie: You need to talk about that shit that happened at the Sullivan house—

Rage: My family’s house, Kittie…

Kittie shakes her head.

Kittie: Biologically, yes.  For all intents and purposes?  Fuck no.  But that doesn’t erase the fact that you need to talk about that shit.  What Phillip said was some serious shit and you know it.

Rage: I don’t fucking care, Kittie.  Just leave me the hell alone.

Kittie: No!  I’m not going to leave you alone, asshole.  You need to stop doing this shit.  I get that you’re the Sin of Wrath and all, but that doesn’t mean you have to play the fucking part ALL the time.

Rage rolls his eyes and refuses to say anything in response.  He leans his head back against the wall, trying to get lost in his thoughts, but Kittie refuses to leave him alone.

Kittie: You need to learn how to handle all this shit that keeps being thrown your way a little better.  Especially around the rest of the Sins.  It’s okay to let them in on some aspects of your life sometimes.  And not just me and Synn.  I’m talking about ALL of them, Rage.  Despy, Gabriel, Shane, Fantasia and even Shipman…We deal with this shit as a family.

Rage shakes his head.

Rage: I can deal with shit on my own, Kittie.

Kittie: Clearly you can’t!  You just storm off and sulk all by yourself and push us all away.

Rage lowers his head as Kittie continues to speak, until just the sound of her voice makes his blood boil.  He quickly gets to his feet and walks over to Kittie, almost threatening her, but she’s not intimidated.

Rage: Get…out.

Kittie shakes her head and folds her arms across her chest, putting her foot down.

Kittie: No.

Rage: You do realize I can force you out, right?  I’m a hell of a lot stronger than you.

Kittie: Your point?  You know I’m not afraid of you and you wouldn’t put your hands on me anyway.

Rage: Why the fuck are you doing this, Kittie?  Why can’t you just accept the fact that I need to be alone sometimes.

Kittie laughs and shakes her head.

Kittie: You don’t even know what you need half the time, Rage.  Do you realize that?  You don’t have to push us away all the time.  It’s okay for you to be human sometimes…for you to need another human being every once and a while.

Rage laughs a dark, ominous laugh as he looks down at Kittie, with an equally dark look in his eyes.  He stands there, with his nostrils flared for a few moments breathing heavily as he thinks about his response.  Kittie just looks up at him, continuing to stand her ground.  Her confidence against him almost appears to be angering him more, and in a dangerous way.  He takes another step towards her, to where he is practically standing directly on top of her.  He glares down at her and in a shocking move, he grabs her by her hair, yanking her head back.

Kittie keeps calm, however, not showing even the slightest amount of fear.  Rage narrows his eyes and not able to control himself any longer, he brings his lips to hers in a fiery passionate kiss!  Unlike last time when he was highly intoxicated, he knows exactly what he is doing, but in a surprising move, Kittie doesn’t fight it.  She kisses him back as he moves them forward, backing her against the wall.

Rage eventually lifts Kittie up with relative ease and she wraps her arms around his neck while they continue their round of tonsil hockey.  Rage turns away from the wall, and with Kittie still in his arms, he walks her over to the bed.  He drops her down on the bed, and she props herself up on her elbows as Rage removes his shirt and tosses it on the floor.  Kittie looks up at him with a wicked smile as he lowers himself down on to the bed over her and she immediately reaches for the zipper of his jeans as they start kissing again.

One thing leads to another and, well, the rest is left to your imagination \'wink.gif\'

Several days later, we find ourselves just a week away from High Stakes IV, and things are starting to kick into high gear.  The stars and Bombshells are starting to filter their way to New York for their promotional appearances before the show, and as we speak, the Seven Deadly Sins have arrived at their hotel and are at the front desk checking in and getting their room keys.

After their night together, Rage and Kittie have kept very quiet on the subject, choosing to keep their elicit activities in Rage’s Boston hotel room to themselves by not telling the rest of the group.  They’ve gone about their normal routine, acting as if nothing had happened and remaining as discreet as possible so they don’t give anything away.  Unfortunately for them, those in the Sins always have a way of finding things out and usually when they get suspicious of something, it gets out in the open sooner or later.

Rage and Kittie are the first ones at the front desk, getting their keys.  Synn, Shane and Fantasia stand several feet behind them, while Chris Shipman, Gabriel, Odette and Melody Grace keep Despayre and Angel occupied elsewhere in the lobby.  Synn keeps an eye on Rage and Kittie, noting Rage’s mood.  Given the fact that earlier in the week they had all witness Rage’s near emotional downfall after his father’s death and the awful reunion between he and his younger brother, it was a surprise to see his mood in a completely different state so quickly.

Synn watches intently as Kittie snatches the second key to Rage’s room out of his hand, promptly putting it into her back pocket.  Rage glares down at her, hardly happy about this.

Rage: What the fuck, Kittie?  You don’t need a damn key to MY room!

Kittie: Uhhh, yes, I do.  You’re not gonna keep hiding in your room all damn week when you’ve got work to do!

Rage: That doesn’t mean you need to take the second damn key!

The two then begin arguing and Rage demands Kittie hand over the second key.  Kittie refuses and the clerk at the front desk just stands there, awkwardly thrown into the middle of this.  Shane and Fantasia watch with Synn, and Shane just shakes his head at the display.

Shane: Ya know what would solve this constant dilemma every time we’re on tour?

Synn shakes his head and looks at Shane.

Shane: If those two just shared a damn room.

Synn chuckles but Fantasia just shakes her head, in disagreement.

Fantasia: I’m not sure that would solve the problem, Shane.

Shane: You’re joking, right?  Didn’t you—

Fantasia shakes her head, stopping Shane before he can finish that sentence, and he goes quiet.  Synn takes a step forward and speaks directly to Rage and Kittie now.

Synn: Oh would you two stop it, already?  You’re arguing like an old married couple!

Rage and Kittie turn their attention to Synn.  Kittie lets out a laugh, but Rage shakes his head, unamused.

Rage: Fuck that!  I wouldn’t marry this bat shit crazy woman if we were the last people on earth!

Kittie: As if any woman would want to marry you, anyway?  I wouldn’t marry you on my craziest day, peanut head!

Rage growls loudly and glares down at Kittie.

Rage: Give me the damn key back, Kittie!

Kittie: The only way you’re getting this key back is if you reach into my pocket and get it yourself.

Kittie then turns around, giving Rage free reign to reach into her back pocket to get the key, but Rage just closes his eyes and growls again.  Doing so would mean he would all but grab her ass right in front of the others, and that is not something he was going to do.  So instead of getting his key back, he just throws his hands up in the air in defeat and storms off towards the elevators.  Kittie then turns back around with a satisfied grin on her face, but Synn is just shaking his head at her.

Kittie: What?

Synn: I’m honestly surprised he didn’t take that key.  It’s almost as if…

Synn trails off, not finishing that thought.  Kittie stares at him with a raised eyebrow, curious as to what he was thinking.

Synn: Nevermind.  It doesn’t matter at the moment.  All that matters is that he’s focused for his match against Jon Dough next week.

Kittie: Please…you’re underestimating my nagging abilities, Synn!  He’ll be focused.  Don’t worry.

Kittie just pats Synn on his arm before grabbing her bags and heading off towards the elevators herself.  Synn just nods before turning and walking up to the front desk.  High Stakes IV is just a week away, but the week ahead doesn’t go very smoothly, it wouldn’t get here soon enough.

“I gotta admit, I wasn’t expecting to head into High Stakes IV in a tough match.  I mean, everyone who would even have the slightest chance at beating me was already tied up, so a match against any of them would be out of the question.  I can’t honestly say who the hell I was expecting to face, but I think it’s safe to say I was NOT expecting Jon Dough.”

“Jon Dough…I hate to sound like a broken record lately but…are you fucking kidding me?  I already beat the guy almost five months ago and they want to throw him against me AGAIN?!  Not only that, but Gabriel also beat the guy so why the fuck do they keep throwing this loser at the Sins?  What is the point?”

“Oh…wait…I get it.  The bosses are so fucking embarrassed by the guys complete lack of making any sort of impression here in SCW that they just want him gone…destroyed.  So…they book him against me again.  Alright…fair enough I guess.  I have no problem in beating the shit out of him again if that’s what they really want.”

“Jon, I hate to break it to ya, pal, but I’ve had a shit week.  A fucking awful week and I’m in no mood for you to waste any of my time.  But, I know that’s exactly what you’ll do.  You’re a waste of fucking space in SCW, but I’m gonna take care of that problem and rid the roster of you once and for all.  I mean..how many times do you have to fucking lose, asshole?  Why do you keep doing this to yourself?”

“Are you one of those masochistic types?  Do you enjoy the pain and humiliation of being beaten over and over?  That must be it, because if not, I really have no fucking clue.”

“You’ve been such an embarrassment in SCW that you’ve been a tag team champion before and your own partners felt you were worthless enough to just drop you like a dime.  As much as I’d like to feel sorry for you, I really don’t.  I find it really fucking hilarious, and I’m just waiting to see what you say against me.  I’m waiting to see what complete bullshit comes out of your mouth, because to be quite honest, it’s only going to fuel the fire and be worse for you.”

“Consider yourself lucky that you get another week to prepare against me.  Thank whatever God it is that you pray to that you’ve got an extra week to live, because once our match is all said and done on November 9th, you’re going to be wheeled out of that ring on a stretcher and you’d be smart not to come back.”

“I wish I could end it sooner.  After the week I’ve had I wish I could just beat your ass right now instead of waiting another damn week, but things don’t always go the way we want.  Hell, if they did, I wouldn’t even be facing you at High Stakes IV.  I wouldn’t be wasting my time facing you a second time when I’ve already beaten you once before, but I had no choice in the matter.”

“Get ready, Jon.”

“Next Sunday…the Sin of Wrath plans to finish what he started…and that’s ending your career once and for all.”

JON DOUGH vs RAGE
« Reply #3 on: November 07, 2014, 11:26:16 PM »
 November 1 2014
Belton, Texas
Bell County Expo Center

Before Jon makes his way to West Point, NY to get in the ring with former SCW heavyweight Rage he has been invited to see a different Indy wrestling show by his friend FWA star Eyesnsane. The Expo Center is hosting NWA 360's Break Down. Eyesnsane is waiting for Jon Dough to arrive. Eyesnsane is seen wearing a Chicago Cubs hat, jeans and a gray T-shirt from NWA 360 star Archer Storm.

Jon arrives to the event wearing a SCW hat, with a black SCW T-shirt and black joggers. As Jon looks around he can see about 500 gray fold out chairs around the NWA 360 ring.  As most of the crowd in there seats waiting for the event to begin, Jon can see some of the crowd buying NWA 360 merchandize as well as some buying snacks and drinks.

Jon finds Eyesnsane and starts to head his way. On his way to Eyesnsane Jon passes a few tables in which you can buy different gear from the stars of NWA 360. Jon passes two of the three tables before Jon sees a T-shirt that catches his eye. Jon stops to take a closer look. Jon sees a black T-shirt with a  white picture of a man ironed on the shirt along with the words Bionic Beast.

Vendor: Hello sir, would you like to buy a T-shirt?

Jon Dough:Not sure yet Mrs. I like this black one mind if I take a closer look?

Vendor: Of course not help yourself.

Jon Dough: Thank you

Jon picks up the shirt from the table. He then turns it around to see the back of the shirt. He see sit has a quote in the back and Jon reads it out loud.

"BAD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO HATE"
                      - Franco D'Angelo

Leader of the Gorilla Militia

Jon Dough: Nice shirt. Is Franco in tonights line up?

Vendor: Yes, the shirt is only $20

Jon Dough: Hate to ask but is he a heel or face?

Vendor: he is a heel, this whole section is stuff fr sale if from the heels of the company.

Jon Dough: I really like the shirt but I can't be seen wearing a shirt from a heel.

Jon says while he chuckles a bit

Vendor: Well between you and me he may turn face today.

Jon looks at the vendor a bit

Jon Dough: OK I'll take a XXXL

Vendor: you sure that seems a bit big for you?

Jon Dough: I prefer it baggy

Vendor starts to search her blue tote and finds Jon a XXXL.

Vendor: Here you go.

Jon hands the vendor a $20 and the vendor hands Jon the shirt. Jon then puts the shirt on, Jon looks down to see how out fits. Then looks at the vendor.

Jon Dough: See fits perfect.

(Shirt is baggy as hell on Jon Dough)

Vendor: It sure does, Hey later during the show they do a intermission and they do a meet and greet. Should stop by.

Jon Dough: thou know I may just do that. Well you have a good one ma'am.

Vendor: Thank and enjoy the show.

Jon nods at the vendor and starts walking towards Eyesnsane.

Jon Dough: What's up man.

Eyes: Not much what's going on Jon.

The two say as they shake hands. As they release Jon looks behind Eyes and notices a woman walking towards them.

Jon Dough: Eyes heads up behind you.

Eyesnsane starts to turn around as the lady walks up on the two. She extends her hand out to shake the hands of the two men.

Natty: Well hello gentleman, my name is Natalie but my friends call my Natty. I'm the co-owner of this company. How are you two doing to today.

Jon and Eyesnsane both shake her hand.

Eyesnsane: Hello Natty my name is James Hughes and this is...

Natty: Jon Dough. Yes I know who you men are. Well I knew who you were Eyesnsane I figured this was Jon Dough seeing how I don't see you hanging out with someone else who wears this mask.

Jon nods his head in approval

Natty: So what brings you two out here to Belton,Texas?

Jon looks at Natty then at Eyesnsane.

Eyesnsane:  I just finished a show up in Louisiana I heard there was a show tonight in Belton, my buddy Jon has a off week with SCW so though I give him a call and have him meet me here for some good old fashion wrestling.

Natty: Well great thank you both for coming. If you two need anything please ask.

Jon nods at Natty.

Eyesnsane: no problem will do Natty, it was nice to meet you.

The two men walk towards the back of the last roll of chairs, the two men prefer to stand behind the crowd and watch the show.  The ring announcer makes his way to the ring and starts to announce the first match. (Barrett Brown vs Tadasuke)

As the match starts Eyes turns to look at Jon.

Eyes: So Jon how are things in China?

Jon Dough: Good for the most part. You should visit everyone misses you.

Eyes: Yeah I been meaning to go, but you know how crazy are schedules can be.

Jon Dough: not mine bro.

Eyesnsane: SCW gives you a light schedule?

Jon Dough: Well we have a deep roster and I'm just a guy lost in the shuffle of all there stars.

Eyes: Funny you should say that I feel exactly the same way. In the FWA half the roster has no idea who I am, rightfully so thou as they came after I went back to LOW.

Jon laughed at the sound of the letters LOW?

Jon Dough: Oh LOW wonder how there doing.

Both men begin to laugh.

Eyes: Anyway the other half of the roster doesn't talk about me much, after all a Young Loins title, and a FWA Tag Team title reign does not a hall of fame career make.

Jon Dough: Speaking of Hall of Fame careers how's Alana doing?

Eyes: Funny you should ask. Alana is doing very well, she just beat the entire X Division at the last show. It was an extreme rules elimination match. Beat six guys in that match.

Jon Dough: So they got Alana fighting men?

Eyes: Well Jon you know Alana.

Jon Dough: Yes I do, that sharp shooter she put me in months ago still haunts me.

Eyes: She warned you about saying she fights like a girl.

Jon Dough: No shit lesson learned.

Both men are heard laughing

Eyes: From the looks of things she on her way to being the second female to win the X Division title.

Jon Dough: Good for her I'm sure she will win the title.

Bell rings as Barrett wins the match. A man wearing a NWA 360 shirt and hat approach Jon and Eyesnsane with two cans of Miller Lites.

Man: Here you go gentleman, on the house courtesy of the owner Natty.

Jon and Eyesnsane both thank the man and take there beers. Ring announcer is heard introducing the next match. (Jax Dane vs Franco D'Angelo)

Jon takes a zip of his beer as he watches the action.

Franco has a mic in his hand and is seen speaking to a stable member NWA North American Champion Tim Storm.

"Tim tonight I need to prove that I can beat Jax Dane alone, I don't need you are any of the Empire Family here at ringside"

Jon Dough: Oh Tim don't look to happy right now.

Eyes: Nope

Jon sees Tim Storm and the rest of the stable leave ringside unhappy

Eyes: So Jon you ready to take on Rage next week.

Jon Dough: You seen some of his matches form the films I given you right?

Eyes: yes I have.

Jon Dough: can anyone ever be ready for a beast like that?

Eyes: Good point, so any plans on how your going to go about beating him.

Jon and Eyes sees Jax Dane hit the Dane Head Buster (Tombstone) on Franco. Jax covers Franco for the three and beats Franco.

Jon Dough: Well Eyes first I need to stay away from The Death Drop. That's what Rage calls his version of the move Jax just won with.

Eyes: Yes that tombstone hurts like a bitch, staying away from that is a good start.

Jon Dough: Yes that's about it really, doing the old school stick and move is my best shot vs a former SCW Heavy weigh Champion.

Eyes: And a 2 time SCW Tag Team Champion right?

Jon Dough: Yes he and Jamie Staggs were the first ever SCW Tag Team Champions, Rage has been around for a while now and knows just how to get the job done.

Eyes: True but then you have Jamie Staggs who knows all of Rages weak and strong points. Who better to get advice from then Staggs himself.

Jon Dough: Yup pretty much, but I been around for an whole year now and Rage is a veteran in the ring. The issue I'll have is that Rage is always pissed, how do I try to get a action packed match for the fans to cheer for with a man who looks like he just wants to kill me.

Then again that's what great about SCW.

Eyes: what is?

Jon Dough: The fact that SCW has a Hugh list of different talents, from the fan loving star to the guys who are just here to kick ass and take names, and everything in between. Rage is going to try to hurt me to beat me. I however may just stick and move like I said earlier, sure it may piss Rage off like a lot but I'm not trying to get Choked slammed, Power bombed, DDT, or get hit by the Death Drop from a  a 6'8 300ibs man.

Lucky for me thou I will be seeing Starts in a few days so I can get the insides on what I should focus on when I fight Rage. Till then Eyes I'm just trying to be enjoy the rest of this event.

Eyes: I hear you, cheers!

Eyes raises his beer towards Jon's. They tap beers and take a drink as the camera fades out.
