{We open with Roxi staring at her phone, shaking her head, when Keira walks through the apartment door.}
Keira – I’m back! And I have Chinese!
{Keira sees the worry in Roxi’s face.}
Keira – What’s wrong?
Roxi – Emi and Lexi are having a bachelorette party for me…
Keira – So?
Roxi – I’m not big on the idea. I don’t need a party for me.
Keira – I think it’s a great idea.
Roxi – You do?
Keira – Sure. It’ll be fun.
Roxi – It’s just not something I’m really into.
{Keira puts the Chinese on the table and walks over to Roxi rubbing her shoulders.}
Keira – Just have some fun. You can stop being you for one night, can’t you? Just…let your guard down for one night.
{Roxi rubs on Keira’s hands, but still seems unsure.}
Roxi – Even one night, it just seems too risky.
Keira – Rox, nothing is going to happen. What’s the worst thing, you enjoy yourself and have a great time? You deserve this.
Roxi – Are you sure?
Keira – You don’t have to be in control of things all the time. Let your hair down.
Roxi – Last time I allowed that to happen, I gave a taxi driver my bra.
{Keira smirks, and throws her arm around Roxi.}
Keira – No drugs this time, just… enjoy the moment. You’ll be around friends, right?
Roxi – Emi and Kah don’t drink, Lexi is a good friends.
Keira – See, you’ll be in good hands. Lexi and Emi wouldn’t do anything crazy, would they?
Roxi – I suppose not.
Keira – Then you’re in good hands.
Roxi – I guess.
{Roxi’s eyes wander, and then narrow. She turns around to face Keira, folding her arms as she stares at her.}
Keira – What?
Roxi – You are taking this way too well. You didn’t know anything about this, did you?
Keira – No.
Roxi – Keira, don’t you lie to me. You knew they had this planned! You had something to do with the party, didn’t you?
Keira – Rox, Emi is your maid of honor. She planned it. I had nothing to do with this. If I did, you’d know.
Roxi – If I find out you had a hand in this, I’m going to strangle you.
{Before Keira can say anything, there’s a knock at the door. Roxi opens it, and Emi stands at the door with Lexi, both smiling.}
Emi – Ready to go?
Roxi - … I guess so.
Emi – It will be fun! Fun fun fun!
{Emi puts her arm out Roxi and leads her out the door, Lexi gives Keira a thumbs up and a wink before shutting the door}

As we drove, I kept thinking it was not going to be a good night. This had disaster written all over it. But, maybe Emi and Keira were right. Maybe I did owe myself a break. I mean, Emi and Lexi seemed so proud of themselves, so excited to see my reaction to the night’s festivities. It didn’t want to just disappoint them. I could tell they put a lot of time and effort into this. I also couldn’t help but think that Keira also had a hand in this, and that my night would end horribly.
Against my better judgment, I went along for the ride.
{The car pulls to a stop near a large white house. Roxi gets out, looking around confused.}
Roxi – Where are we? Whose house is this?
{Emi just put her finger over her mouth to shush Roxi. This allowed Lexi to sneak up behind Roxi and blindfold her.}
Roxi – Oh no… what…
{Lexi held Roxi’s arms so that she couldn’t remove the blindfold, and Emi and Lexi lead Roxi inside the house. They lead Roxi into the room, and sat her down in a chair in the middle of the room. Lexi unties Roxi’s blindfold and several of her friends are in the room, and they all yell “surprise†and Roxi looks embarrassed.}
Roxi – Guys…you didn’t have to do this.
Emi – Nonsense. It’s party time!
{The girls all begin pouring drinks, and having a good time. Roxi at first is reluctant to drink anything. And as we time lapse through the party, Roxi seems to loosen up a little, actually enjoying her party. Lexi hands her a drink.}
Roxi – Oh, no. I’m okay, thank you.
{Lexi just stands there, holding the drink, as a crowd forms around Roxi, pressuring her into taking the drink.}
Emi – You deserve this. Come on.
{The group of girls start chanting “Drink†as Roxi looks around nervously. Giving in to the pressure, Roxi does take the drink, and slams it back as fast as she can, trying not to taste too much of the alcohol. The group cheers, and Roxi smiles as she the party continues. Soon, she’s taking more drinks, and seems to be really having a good time. The group enjoys some laughs, and Roxi is seemingly in a good mood. Then there’s a knock on the door. Roxi looks around, even more nervous. }
Roxi – Who’s that?
Emi – More fun!
{Entering the room after Emi answers the door are two strippers, dressed as cops, one male, one female. But Roxi doesn’t get the gag right away.}
Male Stripper Cop – Sorry to interrupt her ladies, but we’ve had complaints of loud noises coming from here.
Roxi – Oh, I’m so sorry officers! It’s just a party!
Female Stripper Cop – Is this your party, ma’am?
Roxi – It’s…it’s for me, yes.
Female Stripper Cop – Then we’ve come to the right place.
{The two strippers start doing their thing, Roxi genuinely surprised by it. The girls all dance with the strippers, Roxi getting grinded on by both of them, a look of pure embarrassment on her face. Soon, she gets into it, and begins really enjoying herself, all the while consuming more alcohol. The party continues in full swing, with Roxi eventually putting on her own show, stripping herself down and dancing sexually with her own guests. Roxi gets all touchy-feely, and Lexi and Emi are too happy to see Roxi enjoying herself to really stop her. Roxi consumes even more alcohol, and the party starts winding down.}

I owed myself this. Or so I was told. I’m completely ashamed of my behavior, and Emi and Lexi did nothing to stop me from getting out of hand. It’s not their fault I suppose, this was supposed to be a fun night, a celebration. I was just having fun. There is a reason I don’t drink, and it’s because of nights like this, where the party just is too much for me. It’s why I don’t just let loose at gatherings, because I know if pushed in the correct directions, I go overboard.
They wanted to see me act that way, even if it was for one night. They didn’t know just how far I would go. And that’s probably what caused all this. Curiosity. It gets the best of us sometimes. I can’t say when and where it got out of hand, but I don’t remember much about that night.
Sure, it was my party, but I should have known better. I should have communicated to them that this is why I don’t do these types of things.
Because I don’t stop.

{The party has long since ended, with most of the guests leaving after a few hours of partying. Roxi looks really sad watching them leave, and it boils down to Kah, Lexi, Emi and Roxi alone with Roxi completely trashed.}
Roxi – Whooo! Party!
Emi – No Roxi, the party is over. We’re going to take you home now.
Roxi – Aw…. I want…to party more! What is this?
Lexi – It’s Captain Morgan. And I think you’ve had enough.
Kah – I don’t know, she’s way more fun when she’s like this.
{Lexi shoots a death glare at Kah.}
Lexi – Stop it.
Roxi – No…. Kahlan is sooo cool! I like her…
{Roxi walks around with the bottle in her hand, taking swigs randomly. She begins trying to walk outside.}
Emi – No, Roxi!
{Roxi makes it through the door, and then stands on the porch of the house.}
Roxi – Hey, hey, hey, hey, look what I can do!
{Roxi tries doing handstand, but falls and lands on her back on the porch, before rolling down the steps. She only laughs uncontrollably as she lays there. Lexi and Emi look concerned as Kah just chuckles.}
Roxi – Fall down!
Lexi – Okay Roxi, I think we need to get you home.
Roxi – I… I don’t wanna!
Emi – Come on, let’s go.
Roxi – No! You gotta catch me!
{Roxi tries to take of running, but trips and falls almost immediately. Emi grabs her shoulders, and keels on her back.}
Roxi – Emi! You….you are awesome! I like you!
Lexi – Are you going to help or not?
Kah – She’s fine. I’ve been drunker than that.
Lexi – I’ve seen you this drunk. Roxi’s is different, we can to get her back.
Kah – Please. She’s having a good time.
Lexi – Why are you acting like this?
Kah – I’m pregnant, I’m not about to get involved with super girl over there.
{Lexi and Kah look over and Emi is off the distance, trying to chase Roxi down.}
Lexi – oh crap.
Kah – That’s probably not good.
Lexi – Move!
{Lexi goes into the house and grabs the car keys. When she comes back out, Emi has returned, but Roxi still gone.}
Lexi – Emi?
Emi – She’s so fast…even drunk.
Lexi – Come on. Kah, stay here in case she comes bak.
Kah – Yeah…sure.
{Emi and Lexi get into the car, and drive off in search of Roxi.}
{The two ladies drive along the beach, looking for Roxi, and eventually find her, passed out on the beach, her phone still her in hand.}
Emi – Well, I think she wore herself out, let’s get her home.
{Lexi reaches down and picks up her phone.}
Lexi – Oof, that’s a lot of drunk tweets.
{Lexi and Emi pick up Roxi and put her in the back of the car, and drive her back to her house. Where Keira is also drunk, and with her friend Jenny. Emi and Lexi carry Roxi’s unconscious body and knock on the door.}
Lexi – Keira where is …
{Keira is smiling and laughing, and kisses Jenny, before noticing.}
Keira – Whoa… Uh…
Jenny – I’ll…see you later.
{Jenny starts to leave, but Roxi starts to wake up. Jenny then kisses Roxi for no real reason, before departing.}
Roxi – That…was nice!
{Jenny leaves, before Lexi and Emi sits Roxi down on the couch.}
Keira – I… uh….
Lexi – She’s in bad shape, just…where’s the bedroom?
Keira – In there. Uh… where are her pants?
Emi – We…don’t know.
{Keira helps Emi and Lexi carry Roxi into the bedroom. Afterward, Lexi and Emi prepare to leave.}
Keira – You’re not going to…
Lexi – Alcohol. I got it. Just…take care of her.
{Lexi waves and she and Emi leave. Keira walks and closes the door behind them. There is a loud bang in the other room, as Roxi has fallen off the bed. Keira goes into look, and Roxi is leaning against the wall, trying to look sexy as she can barely keep herself up.}
Roxi – Hellloo baby! Look at mua boobs!
Keira – You are way too drunk. Come on, let’s get you to bed.
{The next afternoon, Roxi is essentially a lump on the bed, completely covered by blankets. Slowly, a hand emerges from the blankets, and she uncovers herself. Keira is drinking coffee waiting for her.}
Roxi – Keira?
Keira – Hi.
Roxi – What…what happened last night?
Keira – You had a party. Remember?
Roxi – I don’t need a party.
Keira – I can see.
Roxi – How did I get here?
Keira – Emi and Lexi brought you back.
Roxi – Oh…okay..
Keira – Come on, I’ll make you some coffee.
Roxi – Okay…
{Roxi goes to get out of bed, but stops in her tracks.}
Roxi – Gahh! Keira!
Keira – What?
Roxi – Why am I naked from the waist down?
{Keira smiles, trying to hold back laughter.}
Keira – Your guess is as good as mine.
Roxi – Could you kindly pass me some underwear then?
Keira – Oh, I’ve seen you naked before. Come one.
Roxi – Keira!
Keira – Okay, okay.
{Roxi hands Keira a pair of underwear, which allows Roxi to slip them on and get out of bed. Roxi soon joins Keira in the kitchen.}
Roxi – So, uh…do you want to fill me in on last night?
Keira – I don’t know what happened to you. Emi and Lexi just brought you back after a while, you…were pretty drunk.
Roxi – I must have been. God I shouldn’t have let them do that to me.
Keira – I don’t think you did anything crazy out there.
Roxi – What do you mean?
Keira – They never said anything about you acting crazy. So… I guess it went okay.
Roxi – I couldn’t have went too well considering I woke up partially naked!
Keira – That’s the way you came in. I don’t know what happened there.
Roxi – Oh no… I wonder what else I did. Please tell me I didn’t do anything crazy?
Keira – Um… you didn’t do anything crazy?
Roxi – I meant reassure me, not just repeat what I said!
Keira – You uh…sent quite a few drunk tweets.
Roxi – Oh no…
Keira – And a few photos.
Roxi – On no! Keira, what do I do?
Keira – …Nothing?
Roxi – What do you mean, nothing? I sent out drunk tweets! I’m a horrible person! You have to help me!
Keira – Roxi, you send drunk tweets and pictures to friends, you didn’t rob a bank.
Roxi – This is horrible.
Keira – No, this is…pretty much basic drunk person behavior. It’s not the end of the world.
Roxi – Wait…did you just call me basic?
Keira – …So?
Roxi – That’s what Delia says… are you trying to say you agree with her?
Keira – Well, if the shoe fits.
Roxi – So… I’m basic?
Keira – Let’s find out, I have a test.
Roxi – Okay…
Keira – Question 1, Do you like scented candles?
Roxi – Yes.
Keira – Question 2, Has anyone ever given you the boxed set of all the seasons of “Friends
Roxi – … Yes.
Keira – Question 3, Ever wanted to take a “Zumba†class?
Roxi – N… Yeah, they look kind of fun.
Keira – Question 4, Ever eaten a Panini from Panera bread?
Roxi – Yes…
Keira – And Question 5, Ever tweeted about Starucks?
Roxi – It was a long time ago…. I..
Keira – Well, that settles it, you’re basic.
Roxi – Oh no…
Keira – But, you do know how to have fun.
Roxi – Well, I guess there’s that.
{Roxi stands up, and rests her hand on Keira’s shoulder, but removes it when she can see the hickey on Keira’s neck.}
Roxi – Keria…
Keira – Hmm?…
Roxi – Where did you get that?
Keira – Get what?
Roxi – This huge hickey on your neck.
Keira – I… I don’t know, I got a little drunk last night.. Maybe we just…you know..
{Roxi wipes her finger across the wound, then her other hand to wipe across her own mouth.}
Roxi – I wasn’t wearing lipstick...}[/b]
Keira – I…uh…
Roxi – Keira…
{Keira stands up, obviously upset.}
Keira – Okay, look, I don’t really know how to explain it.
Roxi – Explain what?
Keira – Jenny came over last night, to…keep me company. And…we started drinking….It just kind of happened.
Roxi – WHAT happened?
Keira – We just…made out. I’m so sorry…
{Keira turns her head, as she starts crying. Roxi cringes, as she struggles to find the words.}
Roxi – …
Keira – I’m sorry.
{Roxi brushes past Keira and into the bedroom, slamming the door behind her. Keira continues to cry, sitting on the couch. Roxi eventually opens the door, and walks out now fully dressed.}
Keira – Where… where are you going?
Roxi – Out.
Keira – Roxi, please… I’m sorry.
Roxi – I know…
Keira – Are…are you mad at me?
{Roxi sighs, and turns towards Keira, before walking over and hugging her.}
Roxi – I’m not mad. I was at first, but we both obviously made some poor choices last night. So, I’m going to go clear my head. And then, we have to spend the night, apart.
Keira – Apart?
Roxi – Yes, it’s bad luck if the night before a wedding for the couple to see each other.
Keira – Well…where do I go?
Roxi – You can stay here, I’ll find a place.
Keira – No, no, Not after last night, I can’t stay here. I’ll find somewhere.
Roxi – … You sure?
Keira – Yes.
{Roxi kisses Keira on the head before walking out the door.}
I needed to clear my head, and find my pants.
I spent most of the time thinking about Delia and how important this match was, and how outnumbered I was. Delia seemed to have an army looking out for her, and I didn’t. Nor was I about to ask for anyone to help. It’s wasn’t me being thick headed, But I want to prove to Delia that no matter how many people she has following her, or how many people she needs to try and help her win, it’s not going to stop me. That’s what heroes are about.
We overcome the odds, when everything is stacked against us. I bet Delia never read that in a comic book, though she seems to suddenly have an interest in them when she’s facing someone like me. But that seems to be all of my opponents at one time or another. Despite them never ever speaking or talking about comic books of superheroes, they seem to awfully knowledgeable about them when it comes time to talk about me. I find it funny more than anything else.
And I know Deliah will do just that. The power of Google is amazing isn’t it? You can just type in comic books and all of a sudden you’re a guru. Delia doesn’t strike me as a person who is into comic books, or even a person who has read one, but hey, maybe she’s a closet nerd. Maybe she loves ‘em, and she’s a bigger fan than I am!
The more I thought about it, the more it made sense! Delia isn’t really an upper-class snob, she’s a regular nerd! Yes, she saw how those mean girls in high school were popular, and now she’s become what she always hated. It made my head spin, but there could be some truth to that. I mean, it makes sense. Delia wants to be popular, wants to be at the top of the heap, and bam, she’s there now, and has all of her high school enemies as friends. It made way too much sense to dismiss.
I thought long and hard about just how important this match is, if I want a chance to regain the bombshell’s title, I have to beat Delia. I can’t sell her short, despite how she acts, or talks about people, or bullies them. Yes, I saw, and I was shocked as much as the next person. Tim Staggs didn’t deserve to have any of that said about him. And Delia sat there and apologized, but I knew, even on twitter, that that apology was a phony as her nails are most of the time. It was wrong, and uncalled for, and she’s going to have to atone for that in another way, not by apologizing, but by getting her butt kicked.
I’m not underestimating Delia, far from it, she’s got a lot going for her, and despite her lack of wrestling skill, she has a number of big wins, and she’s taken many an opponent to the limit even when she loses. But I won that bombshell’s title twice, and I want it a third time. I’m not about to just stand by while someone still trapped in a high school mind frame just waltzes in and takes it away from me.
The more I thought about it, the more determined and focused I got, but I didn’t want to wear myself out or get angry at the things Delia has said or would say, No, I had the biggest day of my life to prepare for, and even though I would see Delia then, I was going to focus on what really mattered tomorrow. Because I had two more days after that to think about Delia in the sense of fighting her. For now, I had to fight excitement.
I spent the night alone in the house, waiting for something else crazy to happen. But after the long night, and so much encouragement, and so much love shown to me by the people closest, and even the friends who never changed, I knew I was making the right choice. I got excited. I cried through most of the night, mostly out of pure happiness.
I woke up the next day, and Emi tooks me and got my hair done, really for one of the first times in my life. I got made up differently, I got fitted. I was…so happy. Thankfully, the weather broke at just the right time. It may have been raining all day, but we had just enough time.
Keira looked so beautiful in her dress. I was crying at the altar. I couldn’t believe it was happening. There we were, surrounded by friends, co-workers, family, all were there. It was like a dream.
Little Matty, Lexi’s son was the ring bearer. Angela, the little girl with Leukemia from make-a-wish, was the flower girl. She looked so pretty in her dress. She was so full of energy. It was so magic.
Everything about that day, was magic. Seeing friendly faces, getting to laugh and joke, and enjoy the day with people who mean so much to me. Rosalee made a wonderful delicious cake. Kahlan actually smiled a lot more than I ever expected. Even some old enemies out aside personal grudges. I never thought I’d actually hug Jackson Blaze, but I did. It was just that kind of day.
Seeing people cry makes me cry. But Emi was my rock that day. She never wavered. She was there when I needed her. I always said I’d couldn’t ask for a partner any day. And that was why.
But I’ll never get over seeing so many people, so happy. Simon and Jackie looked very happy, sitting with Emma and Ben. They all had a good time. Lucas and Nicole from LAW, Crystal Hilton, Gabby Camacho, all of them enjoyed themselves, and too me, because of who I am, that made me feel good. Even more was when Amy showing up, and hitting it off with Natasha.
All in all, I could not have asked, for a better day.
{We cut to the wedding reception of Roxi and Keira, where Roxi grabs the microphone, still crying tears of joy.}
Roxi – I… I can’t tell you all, how happy and grateful I am… That you all made it out here, to celebrate this day with us. I can never… never thank you all enough, because you all made a choice to come down here, took time out of your lives, and your careers, to celebrate with Keira and I. I just consider myself the luckiest girl in the world, to have friends, like all of you.
{Applause.}
Roxi – Emi, I have to thank you for being my friend and partner through all of this. I’m so thankful you were my maid of honor, and you were my foundation for today. Without you, I don’t know if I would have made it here. Thank you so much.
{Applause.}
Roxi – Lexi, you saved me from throwing all this away. You gave me Matty as a ring bearer… I can never repay you for all you’ve done for me, but I will try will all my heart to do just that. Thank you.
{Applause.}
Roxi – And finally, Keira. My wife, my world. I know this was a whirlwind story, and it didn’t quite go like either of us expected, but I promise, I’m never going to let you go, for the rest of my life. I love you so much sweetheart.
{We time lapse through the reception as Roxi and Keira dance, Rosalee and Kah start drinking together, Natasha and Amy hit it off. Lexi and her husband enjoy the party. Young Mannie, everyone is having a good time, dancing, laughing, all of it goes long into the night.
Finally, it all ends with Roxi and Keira, sitting on the bed, snuggled up to one another.}
Keira – I love you, so much.
Roxi – I love you too.
Keira – So, where are we going on our honeymoon?
Roxi – I figured the Bahamas would be nice.
Keira – Really? How did you manage to score that?
Roxi – Nothing it too good for you.
Keira – I can’t believe this day happened. It’s like a dream.
Roxi – I know. It was great.
Keira – We could have filled the whole beach with everyone who showed up.
Roxi – I know. It gives me chills just thinking about it.
Keira – So… what do you want to do now? Should we…consummate, the marriage?
Roxi – We can do that…
{ Suddenly, there are sirens coming from the open window. Roxi and Keira both turn and stare out the window.}
Keira – Criminals are the worst! They just ruin everything!
Roxi – Our job doesn’t have days off Keira. This is what we do.
Keira – I know. I know.
{We see a man walking down the sidewalk, carrying his bag of groceries with him. From behind him, a car does a slow roll, creeping up behind him, before speeding towards him. But, of course, the resident superheroines makes her first appearance, swinging in and grabbing the man as the car speeds by. The man ignores the fact that his life was probably saved, and he gets up and pulls out a pistol and fires a few shots in the direction of the car as it rounds the corner. Roxi yells as the man puts his pistol away.}
Roxi – Hey! What are you...
{The man turns around, and it's Police Lieutenant Murphy, a cop who's not a fan of the superheroes in town.}
Lieutenant Murphy – What?
Roxi – Murphy? What was that about?
Lieutenant Murphy – None of your business.
Roxi – Friends of yours?
Lieutenant Murphy – I said it's none of your business.
Keira – A "thank you" would be nice.
Lieutenant Murphy – I didn't ask for you help. Go back to doing whatever is it you people do.
Roxi – Save people like you? Got it.
Lieutenant Murphy – Whatever.
After swinging off, Roxi and Keira are sitting on a rooftop.]
Keira – Who was that?
Roxi – Murphy. He’s a cop. Doesn’t like costumes.
Keira – I can see. It’s easy to see why someone would want to kill him.
Roxi – Yeah. But still, we should look into it.
Keira – You know, we just got married, can’t we have just a little time to ourselves?
Roxi – Warp and Force are taking over for us on Monday.
Keira – Ugh.
Roxi – That’s our job.
Keira – But he doesn’t even like us. What did we ever do to him?
Roxi – We can’t please everyone Keira. It doesn’t matter whether they’re nice to us or not, our job is to make sure they’re safe, and that we do our best to protect them.
Keira – Delia wouldn’t be this nice.
Roxi – No, probably not. But we’re not going to change her, nor should we try, but that doesn’t mean we have to be mean to her. Or…hate her, or anything like that. But as long as they know that we’re out here, protecting them, that’s all that matters.
Keira – No, Rox, I don’t think you get it. Delia’s not a nice person, like at all. She’s not going to stop being mean. I saw what she did on twitter, I can’t stand her.
Roxi – She tries to get under people’s skins Keira, you can’t let her do that. Trust me, I will be more than happy to take care of Delia when the time comes. But for now, we’re going to have to –
{Then her wrist communicator goes off.}
Roxi – Go ahead Vision.
Vision – Rox, our alarm at the Police station has been tripped.
Roxi – Meaning?
Vision – Meaning they called us. Looks like they actually want our help.
Roxi – Really?
Vision – Nothing appears out of the ordinary, looks like it was activated by someone purposely.
Roxi – Alright, We’re on the way.
{Roxi shuts down the communicator and looks prepares to head off in the direction of the police station.}
Keira – What do you think?
Roxi – I’m not sure. But we can’t ignore it.
Keira – As much as I wish we could…
Roxi – Come on..
{ Roxi and Keira land on the roof of the police station, looking around to make sure this isn't a trap of some kind. }
Roxi – Hello? You rang?
Lieutenant Murphy – Yeah, I did.
Roxi – Murphy?
Lieutenant Murphy – Yeah, Me.
Roxi – You want my help?
Lieutenant Murphy – Let's get one thing straight sweetheart, I think you are a freak and a menace, and those are you positive qualities.
Roxi – I appreciate your honesty. But I also speak fluent Klingon.
Lieutenant Murphy – Ever the smart alec. The point is, I actually do need help.
Keira – What's the problem?
Lieutenant Murphy – Someone has it in for me. Tried to run me over twice in the past week.
Keira – I can't imagine who would dislike a guy like you.
Lieutenant Murphy – Very funny. This is serious.
Roxi – Do you have any suspects?
Lieutenant Murphy – The list is a mile long. I put a lot of guys away in this town.
Roxi – So why do you need us in the first place? Why not just go to the department?
Lieutenant Murphy – Because I'm not exactly the cleanest cop on the force. I don't need IA on my case.
Roxi – So you're on the take?
Lieutenant Murphy – NO! I...I step on toes. I bend the rules. As much as I hate to admit it, we're kind of similar.
Roxi – We made play for the same team, but we are NOT the same. I'll help you, but this better be a clean collar in the end.
Lieutenant Murphy – Yeah, yeah.
Roxi – I'll lean on the people I know. But you need to stay out of trouble.
Lieutenant Murphy – I always do.
Roxi – I've seen it firsthand. You may need a guardian angel
Lieutenant Murphy – Isn't that your job?
Roxi – Don't let the mask fool you. I will do what I can to help you, but I'm not your personal savior.
Lieutenant Murphy – The mask is what makes us different.
Roxi – From where I stand, We both wear masks.
{Roxi turns and swings off. Keira behind her }
{ Roxi and Keira set up, waiting for someone. Eventually, a long haired man in a trench coat exits a building, smirks and tucks something in his pocket. Roxi wastes no time following him and then as the man rounds a corner, Keira powers up and swoops dow to snatch him up to the top of the building they're on. }
Roxi – Allen. Long time no see.
Allen – Oh no...
Roxi – I need some information.
Allen – I don't know anything.
Roxi – Allen, you know you can't lie to us.
Allen – I don't.
Roxi – I guess you don't know where that brick in your pocket came from...
Allen – I don't have nothing...
{Roxi reaches into Allen's pocket and pulls out of the taped up drug brick. }
Roxi – What is this?
Allen – I don't know...This isn't even my coat. It's a friends coat.
Roxi – You know it's not smart to continue to lie to me, If you go away again, you don't come back for a long, long time.
Allen – What do you want to know?
Roxi – Murphy, someone wants him dead. I need to know who.
Allen – That doesn't really narrow it down...
Roxi – I'm not in the mood for games Allen.
Allen – Honest, I don't know. People talk all the time about him, nobody does nothing.
Roxi – What people?
Allen – Jimmy the Shark, Kyle all of them, they talk, but nobody's means it.
Roxi – So, if I ask them, really nicely, you think they would tell me?
Allen – I don't know.
Roxi – So when they ask how I know about them, and I bring you up, everything will be okay, right?
Allen – PLEASE! You can't!
Roxi – That's what you're leaving me with Allen. I can only work with what I'm given, and they will want to know.
Allen – Okay, okay! Big Hal.
Roxi – What about him?
Allen – He's been planning for years. Got lots of guys willing. He's the best bet.
Roxi – Are you sure? Because Kat here, she really really hates liars, and she’s been dying to fight the whole night.
Allen – I SWEAR, THAT'S ALL I KNOW!
Roxi – Good boy. Now, you stay out of trouble. Otherwise, things will be very bad for you, very quickly.
Allen – What are you going to do?
Roxi – Me? Who said anything about me?
Allen – You wouldn't...
Roxi – If it turns out you're lying to me...
Allen – Please!
{ Roxi drops Allen and stashes the brick in her belt. }
Roxi – I'll take this. But I'll be back if I need more from you.
{ Roxi and Keira swing away, but not before Keira flinches at him, causing him to shriek and cover up to protect himself. But the time he uncovers himself, the two are gone. Roxi uses her wrist communicator to talk to Vision.}
Vision – What's up?
Roxi – I need a couple of favors.
Vision – What's that?
Roxi – I need Big Hal's last known location.
Vision – Sending it to you.
Roxi – Thanks. I also need one not so easy favor.
Vision – Okay...
Roxi – Do you have access to the Police Database?
Vision – Why....
Roxi – I need some information on Lieutenant Murphy
Vision – Why?
Roxi – Murphy's being secretive. I need to know just how deep he's in on this.
Vision – I'll do what I can. No promises.
Roxi – Thanks Vision.
Kiera – Off we go again.
Roxi – Don’t worry, with any luck, we should be able to crack this one easily.
Keira – I’ve heard that one before
{Roxi swings off, Keira right behind her The two soon quietly land and sneak in the area where he knows Hal to be. After scouting, They cannot confirm Hal is there, but with little effort she sneaks in unnoticed, confirming Hal, and a few thugs to be there. After carefully observing, she sneaks down and quietly releases some smoke bombs and distracts the guards long enough for her to capture Hal, and take him to the roof.}
Hal – *Cough* *Cough* What the?
Roxi – We need to talk Hal.
Hal – You're...crazy.
Roxi – I need information.
Hal – I ain't tell you nothing.
Roxi – Too bad Kat is not in the mood for this.
Keira – I’m really not. Cough it up, before I make you…
Hal – What’s your problem?
Roxi – Why are you targeting Murphy?
Hal – Murphy? I ain't done nothing yet. It ain't time.
Roxi – Well, that is communicating a threat, so I could take you in for that.
Hal – So what, you got nothing.
Roxi – Someone is targeting Murphy, and I want to know who. So, if it's not you, then who is it?
Hal – I ain't saying nothing, You ain't a cop! I got rights!
Roxi – You have rights. Lots of them. But as you said, I'm not a cop...
Hal – What are you going to do?
Roxi – We're going to start from the beginning, and you're going to tell us everything...}[/b]
[ Flash forward, and Roxi sits down next to a beaten Big Hal. ]
Hal – You....you're crazy.
Roxi – Was it good for you too?
Hal – I will make you're life hell for this.
Roxi – I'm sure. Get in line. You're going to have to wait you're turn. I got plenty on my plate right now.
[ Roxi's wrist communicator goes off. ]
Vision – Got the info you needed, or at least some of it.
Roxi – That's good. I'll come pick it up when I'm done here.
Vision – Almost done?
Roxi – Kat’s about to wrap this up.
[ Roxi turns back to Hal.]
Roxi – Well, it looks like our fun has ended. But, if I need anything, I'll call. In fact, I'll come back and visit.
Hal – Ugh...
Roxi – Look on the bright side, you can tell everyone you beat us up and escaped. It works for a lot of people. Ta-ta.
{The two swing away. }
Keira – Now what?
Roxi – We have to try to get more out of Murphy.
Keira – This is taking way too long.
{ Roxi and Keira sit on the rooftop of police HQ. Murphy makes his way to the roof as well }
Lieutenant Murphy – What's the news?
Roxi – There is no news. I got a lead that Hal was after you, but there's nothing to indicate he's behind this.
Lieutenant Murphy – So...Nothing? Some help you two are.
Keira – This would be a lot easier if I was getting all the information I needed.
Lieutenant Murphy – I told you everything you need to know.
[ In a flash, Roxi grabs Murphy by the collar ]
Roxi – Do you want to live Murphy? I need names, I need information. Because I am not about to have your death on my head.
Lieutenant Murphy – Alright, alright, keep your voice down.
Roxi – Then give us what we need to help you.
Lieutenant Murphy – *Sigh* Fine. Here.
[ Murphy hands Roxi a 2gb hard drive. ]
Roxi – Is this everything?
Lieutenant Murphy – Yeah.
Roxi – You sure?
Lieutenant Murphy – Yeah. I'm sure.
Roxi – I'm going to run this. It'll take some time, but you'd better steer clear of any action.
Lieutenant Murphy – I'll do my job, you do yours.
Roxi – We’re doing our job. Saving your life.
Lieutenant Murphy – I could get shot right now. I'm not afraid.
Roxi – Then, I guess I'm going to go now. I'll come back when I have something.
Lieutenant Murphy – Yeah, you do that.
[As Murphy turns his back, a large red dot appaears on his back. Roxi leaps back and tackles him. ]
Roxi – Get down!
[ The shot misses and the bullet lodges itself in the roof. Roxi scans the nearby area for anything. ]
Lieutenant Murphy – What was that?
Roxi – A sniper. You must have a lot of enemies Murphy, And some well paid ones too.
Lieutenant Murphy – Yeah...
Roxi – Like I said, stay out of the action.
Lieutenant Murphy – I'm not going to stop doing my job.
[ Roxi examines the bullet as she prys it from the roof. ]
Roxi – I stand corrected, you have some really well financed enemies.
Lieutenant Murphy – What are you talking about?
Roxi – This bullet is rare, custom made. That should narrow down the list. Unless you can make the connection...
Lieutenant Murphy – I got nothing...
Keira – Yeah, I'm sure.
[ Roxi glances upward, trying to judge the trajectory of the shot. She and Keira make off in the direction the shot may have came from. They hit the spot, and look for clues.]
Keira – Someone really wants him dead.
Roxi – I know.
{The two continue to search, before finding a tripod the sniper used to steady his shot.}
Roxi – Gotcha.
Keira – What now?
Roxi – Take this and have Vision scan it. Then, you can take the rest of the night off.
Keira – What? Why?
Roxi – You wanted a break, I’ll give you one.
Keira – I’m not leaving you to do this alone. Not anymore. The ring on my finger means we’re a team. Forever.
Roxi – Alright. Alright. Just take it back and have Vision scan it, and go through the hard drive I’m going to see Murphy. You call me when you have something, and meet me at the spot.
Keira – Alright.
{Keira takes the tripod and the hard drive and dashes off. Roxi swings off towards Murphy’s apartment.
{Arriving at Lieutenant Murphy's apartment. Murphy enters and removes his trench coat and hat and sighs. He doesn't notice Roxi sitting in his window.}
Roxi – Staying out of trouble?
Lieutenant Murphy – Gah! Jesus, you scared the hell out of me.
Roxi – It's one of my many talents.
Lieutenant Murphy – How long have you been there?
Roxi – Long enough. I looked at the hard drive you gave me.
Lieutenant Murphy – And?
Roxi – You were right, People don't like you. A LOT of people don't like you.
Lieutenant Murphy – I already knew that.
Roxi – The list of suspects was a long one. Does the name Luke Wise mean anything to you?
Lieutenant Murphy – "Lucky" Louie? Yeah, threatened me in open court, ran a drug lab on the south side, I broke it up while I was in Vice. He got 10-20.
Roxi – He was a model prisoner, he only did 8 years. He's out.
Lieutenant Murphy – I cost him an empire, He'd love to see me in the ground. So, where do we find him?
Roxi – I'm working on it. In the meantime, I need you to follow up on a lead.
Lieutenant Murphy – Wait a minute. What am I, some wet eared rookie? I know how to conduct an investigation!
{ Roxi reaches over and snatches Murphy by the collar. }
Roxi – Don't you get it! People are trying to kill you! Pay attention! Recently, The news did a report on the south side. Maybe the reporter heard something.
Lieutenant Murphy – I'll take care of it. What are you going to do?
Roxi – I'm going to make a few...inquiries.
Lieutenant Murphy - What's that supposed to mean?
{ She doesn't answer as she leaves out the window.}
{The scene switches to Allen, the middle-aged snitch from the beginning. He makes some kind of deal with someone, and then he begins to count his money.}
Allen – Free enterprise, what makes America gr-AHH!
{Without warning, once again, Roxi snatches him up and swings up to a nearby rooftop.}
Roxi – Allen.
Allen – ...Not again.. I told you everything I know.
Roxi – Yeah, but that info didn't help me.
Allen – What is it now?
Roxi – Lucky Louie.
Allen – I...I haven't seen him in months. He's still in prison.
Roxi – I don't like it when you lie to me...
[Roxi punches Allen in the jaw, dropping him. She handcuffs his hands behind his back, and then sits a dazed Allen on his knees, and gets behind him.
Allen – What are you going to do?
Roxi – Whatever it takes.
Allen – I told you, I haven't seen him.
Roxi – Do you know the body has a lot of pressure points? All I have to do is touch you, and you'll feel a lot of pain. It's really simple. Let's see how much pain you can take...
{Roxi stands behind Allen and extends her two index fingers. She traces lines on his head before resting her fingers behind the ears. Both fingers resting in the correct position.}
Roxi – Ready?
Allen – What are you AGHHH!
{Roxi simply pushes her fingers towards each other creating a intense amount of pain.}
Roxi – Anything coming to mind lately?
Allen – AGHHH! AHHH!
Roxi – I can't hear you...
Allen – Okay....OW! AH! AGHH! OKAY!
Roxi – See how easy that was? Now, let's talk
{Murphy is tossing and turning in his sleep, as Roxi once again opens his window. Murphy is startled by the shadow.}
Lieutenant Murphy – JESUS! STOP DOING THAT! What do you have?
Roxi – "Lucky" Luke. I know where he is. Running a crack operation on River side.
Lieutenant Murphy – Good. I'll meet you there in an hour.
Roxi – Be there. And we're doing this, by the book.
Lieutenant Murphy – What other way is there?
Roxi – Just...be there.
{Roxi turns and swings off.}
{An hour later, Keira, Roxi and Murphy are scoping out the warehouse.}
Lieutenant Murphy – Well?
Roxi – This doesn't seem right. Why would Luke warn you in the first place?
Lieutenant Murphy – Maybe he wanted to see me sweat, How should I know?
Roxi – Maybe...
{They move in and sneak into the building where Luke himself is overseeing the shipping process of the crack.}
Lucky Luke – Careful with the merch boys, you break it, you buy it. Got me?
Lieutenant Murphy – There he is.
Roxi – Yeah. Let's go.
{As Murphy tries to figure his best approach, Roxi simple dives off the ledge, and lands on her feet and knocks over two of the henchmen. A third runs at her but she punches him in the gut and tosses him into a wall. As she readies herself for the next possible attacker, Luke raises his pistol and aims at her, but Murphy lowers himself down on a chain and shoots the pistol out of Luke's hand.}
Lieutenant Murphy – Nobod
