Climax Control 88
6th July 2014
Celebrity Theater
Tempe, Arizona
Instead of going for the pin, Amy walks over to her respective corner and tags in the Heavy Metal Bombshell who climbs to the top rope. She stands perched for a moment, screams out into the crowd and then launches into a high angle 450 splash (Wall of death).
Jessie hooks the leg.
One!
Two!
Crowd: THREE!
DING! DING! DING!
Justin: Here are your winners…Jessie Salco and Amy Marshall the Metal and Punk
Connection!
“The Art of Partying†by Municipal Waste begins to play as Amy and Jessie celebrate their victory in the center of the ring. As they are about to leave their music cuts off abruptly and “Hold Me, Kill Me, Kiss Me, Thrill Me†by U2 begins to play as Mercedes Vargas and Traci Patterson walk out.
The champions get in the ring and a stare down ensues with both Mercedes and Traci holding up their titles high in the air. Jessie, annoyed by their arrogance, shoves Mercedes back. Vargas immediately goes after Salco and a brawl begins in the center of the ring. Multiple referees run down from the back with a few SCW security officers.
Adams: It’s pandemonium! All four women are going after each other!
The referees are able to separate them as “Hold Me, Kill Me, Kiss Me, Thrill Me†by U2 begins to play again.
Entering the backstage area with a group of referees escorting you from the ring was perhaps a little annoying, but perhaps a good idea as Jessie and I would no doubt continue battling Traci and Mercedes, with either one of us trying to get the upper hand by softening one or maybe both of our opponents up. No doubt Mercedes and Traci thought the same thing and luckily they were escorted back to the backstage through another entrance.
Convincing the referees we won’t be fighting any more, they disappeared off, as one of them briefly spoke to a member of security – no doubt asking to keep an eye out for any more trouble. This only left Jessie and myself as we took a moment to reflect on the night’s events, where we beat the random combination of Marisol Hawks and Tiami Tyler to get a shot at Mercedes and Traci for the tag team titles.
Grabbing a couple of towels, bottles of water and an ice pack, I sat down on a packing crate next to Jessie, passing the towel and water to her.
“Great win out there tonight.â€
Jessie said breaking the silence.
“Yeah it was a good match. Marisol and Tiami were tough, but we got there in the end.â€
Jessie shook her head in agreement.
“We still have a few kinks to work out, buts that down to the age of team.â€
Jessie said wiping her forehead.
“We have time over the next two weeks to practice and but also somehow have to squeeze in a few make a wish wishes.â€
I said with a shake of the head.
“Oh… that reminds, I have one of those requested for a few days time in Vegas. Are you ok to come? I’m bringing Jake and Shane.â€
“Umm sure…. Need to see how these work out etc…â€
I said a little apprehensive.
“Great, I’ll see you there. I have to find Jake and Shane. I’ll give you a call.â€
“Sure.â€
Jessie gives me a smile before walking off back to the NXT locker room, leaving me on my own.
Hopping off the crate, I throw the ice pack away and go to head back to the locker room, but instead I come face to face with Scott Oliver.
“Congrats tonight Ames.â€
“Thanks.â€
I give Scott a smile and quickly walk off without him getting to ask any question. I felt I didn’t need to speak to Scott about the match, it was pretty much self-explanatory as Jessie and I beat Marisol and Tiami and were going on to face Mercedes and Traci for their tag team titles.

Outside the Sunrise Children’s Hospital,
Las Vegas, Nevada
July 8th, 2014, 17:30pm
Heading into that hospital with Jessie, Shane and Jade, no-one was prepared in how things would turn out and what certain reactions would be. To me; Jessie looked to take it in her stride as she spoke with Hannah about wrestling and how she will be cheering on Jessie and myself at into the void, but also she talked with Hannah’s parents about how she has only maybe weeks left and how the parents had gone to the extreme of having a DNR in place to spare any further suffering and various others things. The doctors then kicked us out as visiting time had finished.
As for myself, I wasn’t a massive fan of kids, and although I accept that I might have a few young fans of a young age and that I would talk to them and sign autographs, but I never went out of my way to get to know them. However, seeing this little girl; Hannah laying there with no jaw because the cancer had destroyed it and she had to use the aid of an electronic aid to speak was heartbreaking. Although I didn’t show it at the time, as soon as I said my goodbyes to Jessie, Shane and Jake, I got into the car and broke down and started to cry for this little girl.
I had only met the girl and parents for twenty minutes, so I barely knew them, however, seeing the tubes, the machine and knowing she had only weeks left him me hard and I felt to helpless and I didn’t know what to do.
With tears streaming down my face, I felt the need to call mom and just tell her I love her. I didn’t know why, but I just had to do. Grabbing my phone in my teary haze, I dialled her number.
And it began to ring.
“Helloâ€
“Hi…momâ€
I said in between a sniff and wiping my eyes.
“What do you want?â€
She said in a cruel tone that I always expect from her.
“I…I….just… called to say… I… love… you.â€
“What’s wrong? Something happen?â€
Mom said with genuine concern in her voice, which made me feel even worse.
“No...thing… is… wrr..ong. Not…hhing… ha...pppended.â€
I said before wiping my eyes with the back of my hand and took in a few deep breath, trying to compose myself.
“We… just visited a… little girl who… is dying from…cancer and… it just hit…me.â€
I explained.
“Oh sweetheart. Not to sound cruel, but she will be soon at peace. Yes you will feel helpless for a while, but you will find it will get easier. You will probably find a way to help in your own way.â€
Mom said in a matter of fact way… but I found that it made sense and it did help a little bit.
“Thank you…mom.â€
I said with gratitude
“No problem. I’m always here if you need me.â€
She said, as I realised that this was probably the first time in a long while that I have sought comfort from mom, it was a little strange since our relationship was quite rocky. I now hoped this would improve it.
“Thank you mom.â€
“I do really love you, no matter what you do in life.â€
“Love you too and thanks again.â€
I said, as I took in my mom’s kindness and what appears to be acceptance.
“That’s ok. See you soon.â€
She said.
“Yeah. Bye mom.â€
“Bye sweetheart and good luck.â€
She said.
We then both hang up and I wipe the remainder of my tears, as I felt calmer and a little happier, however, the image of that little girl will remain with me for a little while yet and although I can’t do anything for her, I had an idea to do something for the hospital and for Hannah’s parents. Starting the car, I began my journey to the airport, where I would be catching a flight to New Jersey and spend my week there giving Lori a break and maybe make a wish.
How is it that you are a tag team champion once again with Mercedes, I am surprised she hasn’t dumped your ass and found a far more superior tag partner. I have stated this many times that you are the weakest link in the team and yet you continue to stay on Mercedes’ good side and win titles.
Well let me tell you that come Sunday night, Jessie and I will exploit the weakness in the team and unfortunately you are the weakness Traci and we will keep you inside the ring, beating and wearing you down not allowing Mercedes into the match. And once we have finished playing with your lame haggard body… we will then finish you of with a simply 1… 2… 3. Good luck Traci because you are certainly going to need it.

Osteosarcoma is an aggressive malignant neoplasm arising from primitive transformed cells of mesenchymal origin (and thus a sarcoma) that exhibit osteoblastic differentiation and produce malignant osteoid. It is the most common histological form of primary bone cancer.
Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Centre.
Newark, NJ
Friday 11th July 2014, 15:30pm
The scene opens outside the Newark Beth Israel Medical Centre, where she was scheduled to meet a 9-Year-Old boy named Jackson Tisdale within the hospital for the Make-A-Wish charity. A few days earlier after arriving in New Jersey, Amy made enquiries through the foundation to find out if there were any requests in NJ or the surrounding states.
The make-a-wish foundation would then disappear for a few hours, looking into Amy’s request, which this left Amy sat doing nothing for a little while. However, it gave Amy a chance to transfer $10,000 to the Sunrise Children Hospital and $15,000 to Hannah parents to help pay the bills and maybe give them a little holiday, and being at the Newark Beth Israel Medical centre, she would do the exact same thing.
A few hours later, the charity came back to say that there was a little boy in Newark, New Jersey, who avidly watches Sin City Wrestling and as a surprise his parents want any superstar to visit.
And so it was set for a couple of day’s time.
Climbing out of the rental car with a single lone cameraman to capture the moment of her visitation, Amy grabbed the Sin City Wrestling plastic bag, where they then headed into the medical centre, where she would be directed to the correct floor. Once on the floor, Amy headed to reception first.
“Hello.â€
“Hi… I am here to see Jackson Tisdale.â€
I said with a smile.
“I am Amy Marshall, I am here on the behalf of Make-A-Wish foundation and Sin City Wrestling.â€
Amy explained.
â€Ah yes, they have been expecting you. I will fast beep the doctor.â€
And the nurse does that and 5 minutes pass and the doctor arrives.
“Miss Marshall I presume.â€
I nod.
“I am Dr Winward, do you know much about Jackson’s condition?â€
“No I don’t sorry.â€
I said honestly.
“Ok… well Jackson has something called osteosarcoma, which in layman’s terms is bone cancer. Unfortunately he has Stage 3 osteosarcoma in his femur, which means there is a survival prognosis of 30%. However, he is a tough little boy and is fighting it every step of the way. Today he is having a good day with the drugs.â€
The doctor explained.
â€Great.â€
I said with a small smile.
The doctor then showed the way toward the room that he was staying in, he then indicated for me to wait, as he knocked on the door before entering the room.
“Hi Jackson, I have a very special surprise for you. Come in.â€
The doctor said prompting me. With cameraman in tow I enter the room and as I do, I see the little boys eyes light up and he gives the biggest smile, which I can’t help but smile as well.
“Hello Jackson… I hear you are a big Sin City Wrestling fan.â€
“I am… I amâ€
He said with delight, as I go over to him and give him a hug, before placing the plastic bag onto the bed. This plastic bag had everything in it and was given to us by management as part of the Into the Void Supercard/Make-A-Wish Charity to give away.
“This is for you Jackson.â€
His face lights up once more and grabs the bag.
“What do you say Jackson.â€
His mom said scolding him.
“Sorry… thank you Amy.â€
“That’s ok.â€
Turning the bag upside down, the contents are revealed. Inside the bag was a Amy Marshall t-shirt, A SCW baseball cap, Climax Control – The Very best of 2013 DVD, Three NXT Wristbands and a Thomas Knight ‘Extreme Hero’ poster.
“Wow… I love all this. Thank you.â€
Jackson says with a smile, again causing me to smile.
“So who are you rooting for at Into the Void?â€
I asked.
“All my favourite wrestlers.â€
“And who are they?â€
I asked expecting him to say my name.
“Drake Green, Roxi Johnson, TJ Codair and Jon Dough.â€
He said with a shrug.
“What about me?â€
I said pretending to be annoyed.
“Oh sorry. You are also my new favourite because you came to see me.â€
He said with a cheeky grin on his face.
“Hey I wasn’t angry really. I was just messing.â€
I said winking at him, as he placed the SCW baseball cap on his head. roll
There was a sudden knock at the door, as a nurse enters the room with a trolley filled with vials, tablets, Syringes and bore needles.
“I’m sorry, but its time to take some blood and give you some tablets.â€
The nurse said coming to stop next to Jackson’s bed.
“I’m afraid Miss Marshall you will need to leave.
The doctor said before continue.
“Unfortunately while it’s a good day with his drugs, we also need to do blood and bone samples and it isn’t pleasant.â€
“I understand. Sorry Jackson. I hope you kick the cancer ass and I have some more special present but your parents have to open it.â€
“Thank you for visiting and good luck at Into the Void.â€
Jackson said with a small smile but with a hint of fear.
“That’s ok. And I hope you get well soon.â€
I said, as I stood to my feet and gave him another hug before turning and shaking hands with his mother and father.
“I have a gift for you, but do not open it until I have left.â€
I pull out a white envelope with a $15,000 cheque and a couple of tickets to any Sin City Wrestling show within the US and hand it to Jackson’s father before saying my goodbyes once more before leaving with the cameraman.
I don’t know about you Mercedes, but I am getting sick to death of seeing you across the ring from me, in fact I can’t think of anything to say that I haven’t already said the million times we have faced each other.
I am not going to pull out the “I know how you moveâ€, “I know what you going to doâ€, “I know what you are going to say†card, because frankly it’s just getting a little stale and there is already enough recycling of insults in wrestling that its becoming a joke.
But speaking of jokes, I am surprised you still tolerate Traci Patterson as a tag team partner, unless she is only there to make you look good and strong, because damned if she does anything else inside the ring.
And just a heads up on that, she is the weakest link of the team and we will be taking aim at her and showing that you made a poor choice in partner and should have gone for someone better.
Oh and I hope Germany beat Argentina Sunday… I fancy another 7-1 result.
