Last week was good. Last week was promising. I really did enjoy teaming with Emma Rose last week, as she proved to be a fantastic partner and really impressed me. She is a quick study and I have a feeling one day that she too will win the Bombshell's title.
Not before I get my chance, to get it back, but that's besides the point.
I'm eager to team with her again, as far as Joanne goes, she may have been beaten last week, but she is capable, very capable. I consider her an asset in this match.
But no offense to Amy or Joanne, they are not the threat that the Fallen are. Now we are officially back in the hunt. Back on the collision course to get the Bombshell's title back.
Back on a collision course, with Gothika.
I have proven that I can beat Gothika, I have taken her down before. I taken the Fallen down before. I know I can do it again. And I know full well that I have the partners to do it in this six woman tag match. Gothika, the match at High Stakes was me making a mistake, Me, assuming you might fight fair, that you may, in fact be an opponent that pushes me to my limit. But alas, I was wrong. I mistook you for someone who has a sense of honor. I guess I'm not 100% on Vampire mythos, considering how some people choosing to just change them on a whim.

So now, the gloves, they are about come off Gothika. You and Raynin are in my sights. You have something that once belonged to me, that you, stole. I get it, you're evil, you're the bad girl in this situation. And I'm sure you are totally proud of winning the title the way you did. But you and I both know that when I get my rematch. When I get my opportunity to face you and regain my title, I will succeed. Last time, was me, taking my eye off the ball. I got lazy and complacent. That will not happen again. I have once again become motivated. The next time you and I are one on one and that title is on the line, I will prove to you, and all the naysayers that I am a true champion. Let's face it Gothika, you may have the actual title in your possession, but you are not the champion. You know deep down that you were able to sneak in a win, but in the long run, it will only serve as my reminder that things can be taken away through nefarious means.
You and Raynin are in my sights. Oh yes, I remember that Raynin is and was the sole reason you have that title in the first place. If you make me go through her to get to you, then so be it Gothika. If that's what it takes to make you understand how serious and focused I am, then that is what I'll do. You're going to make me make an example out of Raynin.
Raynin, you played your part. You were a co-conspirator in this. Now, you must atone for that. You must be made to pay. And pay you shall. This six woman tag is a warm up to what I have in store for you and Gothika the next time we face off. Make no mistake about it, I'm going to shut you both down, and that starts on Sunday, when you lose in this six woman tag match.
You two are about to taken down, piece by piece, the first jenga block to be taken out, with be the six woman tag. And we go on from there. But you know, you two are going to get the full extent of my swift hand of justice, but your partner, Lizzie Short, she's only going to be collateral damage. As much as I hate that, it's going to have to come with the territory.
Lizzie, from what I've seen you are a promising talent, that will go very far in SCW. I know, I throw praise out to everybody, but it's meant as a compliment to the division. It's easy to throw out praise in a place like this. But that's not to say that I don't mean what I say. Yes, I believe in you Lizze. I believe that you have everything it takes to succeed in SCW.
Having said that, it's a shame that you are playing for the wrong team on Sunday. You are with the Fallen, and the old expression hold true, if you're not with us, you're against us. I'm sorry Lizzie, this is the way it is. You are the enemy in this match, I know you did nothing wrong, I know you are essentially an innocent bystander in this, but I cannot afford to have a let down at this point.
I've had enough of those already.
[ Roxi’s face slams through a glass mirror. Blood jettisons from her head and face. She collapses to the floor in a heap. ]
[Back at the apartment, Vision is on the computer, and looks worried, Andrea is asleep.]
Vision - Andrea! Hey!
Andrea - Mumble…mumble…
Vision - Andrea! Wake up!
Andrea - Mmm….what? What’s going on?
Vision - Andrea….where’s Roxi?
Andrea - I don’t know, its not my day to watch her…
[Andrea rolls over in a vain attempt to go back to sleep.]
Vision - Andrea! I’m serious!
Andrea - I don’t know, out on patrol I guess. She didn’t tell me where she was going.
Vision - Andrea, I’m worried.
Andrea - Why?
Vision - She hasn’t reported in if she’s on patrol. Check around, she is she’s there.
[Groaning and sighing, Andrea stands up, and looks around.]
Andrea - Roxi? Are you here?
[She gets no response.]
Andrea - She’s not here.
Vision - Actually check around this time. If she’s out on patrol, she’s not showing up anywhere.
Andrea - Hang on.
[ Andrea looks in the closet, and Roxi’s costume is still in it’s place. Andrea checks around, and Roxi is no where to be found. Andrea walks back to the computer]
Vision - Anything?
Andrea - Her costume is still here. Maybe she just went out.
Vision - Andrea, have you ever known her to go out?
Andrea - Sometimes.
Vision - Without telling anyone?
[ Andrea sighs.]
Andrea - What do you want me to do?
Vision - Andrea, I have a bad feeling that Roxi could be in trouble.
Andrea - She’s a grown up, she can take care of herself.
Vision - No, this is not like her. I mean, ever since Ted’s stuff came up, she…she’s changed.
Andrea - … I guess your right. Wait…
Vision - What?
Andrea - You don’t think …she… Ah crap.
Vision - What?
Andrea - She went to confront Ted. I know she did.
Vision - That means she’s in serious danger.
Andrea - I need everything on Ted. Right now.
[ Flash to later, inside Ted’s apartment, Where Roxi and Ted, both lay motionless on the floor. Andrea kicks in the door and quickly searches the rooms. She finds both of them, laying on the floor. ]
Andrea - Roxi? Jesus.
[Bending down, Andrea picks up a nearly lifeless Roxi, Blood still running down her face. Her right eye is swollen shut, there are cuts all over her. Vision‘s voice is hear on Andrea‘s communicator.]
Vision - Angel? What’s going on?
Andrea - Vision, I found her. I found both of them.
Vision - What’s the situation.
[ Andrea checks Roxi’s pulse.]
Andrea - *Relieved Sigh* She’s alive. Barely. Get an ambulance.
Vision - Where’s Ted?
Andrea - I…
[ Andrea gently lays Roxi down and cautiously goes over to Ted, He lays still as Andrea checks his pulse.]
Vision - Well…?
Andrea - He’s… He’s dead.
Vision - What?
Andrea - I said he’s dead
Vision - What the hell happened in there?
Andrea - I don’t know! get that ambulance now!
[ Andrea goes back to Roxi.]
Andrea - Roxi…wake up.
[ She gently shakes and taps Roxi’s face.]
Andrea - Come on, you can’t do this to me right now.
[Continuing, nothing is happening. Andrea again checks her pulse.]
Andrea - Come on!
[ Roxi slowly starts coming to.]
Andrea - Roxi?!
Roxi - *unintelligible*
Andrea - Snap out of it.
Roxi - mmm….ugh…Wha…where…where’s Ted?
[ Later, at the guild medical center. Roxi sits in a hospital gown, covering herself up. Andrea enters the room]
Andrea - Hi.
Roxi - Hi.
Andrea - You alright?
Roxi - I’m…no. I’m not alright.
Andrea - You…wanna tell me what happened in there?
[Roxi stares at Andrea.]
Roxi - I…It was awful. Some things I can remember, but some I just can’t.
Andrea - Well, we need to start with what you do remember, but…I’m willing to wait.
Roxi - …What?
Andrea - The have to do a thorough work-up on you. Check you for rape.
Roxi - …Why?
Andrea - Because I found you, bloody, beaten, and unconscious, and your boyfriend dead. They have to be sure.
Roxi - …I…
Andrea - Take it easy. I’ll be back, I’ve going to head back to that place and look for anything that might help you remember. In the meantime, Let them do their work, and…I’ll be back.
Roxi - Okay…
Andrea - Get some rest.
[ Andrea hugs her and notices Roxi is crying. She rubs her head before turning to leave.]
Roxi - Andrea…
Andrea - Yeah?
Roxi - Thank you.
[Day 2 at the guild medical bay.]
Andrea - Feeling any better?
Roxi - A little.
Andrea - I see the tests came back negative on rape. So that’s good, right?
Roxi - …Right…
[Andrea sits down in the chair, next to the bed, and sighs, throwing up her hands.]
Andrea - Well, you know I’m not exactly a finesse person, so, I’m going to just ask outright. Do you feel up to it now?
Roxi - …I…I guess.
Andrea - Well, let me tell you what I know. There’s broken glass, and a bunch of blood, your blood, all over his place. He had several lacerations, and his cause of death is a broken neck. So…you...want to tell me what you remember?
Roxi - …Yeah..
[ Flashback Roxi casually knocks on Ted’s apartment door. ]
I went to confront him about it. About everything.
[ Ted answers, and an obviously upset Roxi comes in. ]
I told him what I knew. How I knew all about him. I obviously broke up with him.
I take it it didn’t go too well.
No. He got angry.
[ Ted starts yelling at Roxi, both getting angry at each other. ]
First, he denied it. Said he wouldn’t hurt anybody. I told him what I saw. And how everything made sense now. How he was not around a lot of the time, how he never stuck around too long in any place. Always had parties and things to do. He was the one out there, doing horrible things to people.
[ Roxi continues yelling and tries to leave.]
Did you try to leave?
I told him everything, and that I was leaving, and calling the police. Obviously, I had planned to go back there in costume and take care of it myself. I put a tracker on his car, in case he tried to leave town. It would have been minutes.
So?
[ Ted grabs Roxi and the two struggle. They begins grappling, but the stronger Ted manages to pin Roxi up against the wall, then produces a knife. ]
He had a knife. He pinned me against the wall. I could have probably done something, but I couldn’t risk his making the connection to the whole hero thing. And…I guess…part of me still wanted to believe that he wasn’t that guy.
[Taking Roxi by the hair, Ted leads her to the couch, pinning her down with a knee in her back. Producing rope from nearby, He ties her hands together. ]
He tied me up. He told me he loved me. That he didn’t want to hurt me.
[Ted starts stroking Roxi’s hair, as Roxi stares at him, really unsure of what to do. ]
That’s when he punched me.
[ Ted takes a free shot at the defenseless woman. ]
I don’t know how long I was out, or how many times he threw punches. I just remember the blood on my face dripping on the floor. The sound of it…it woke me up.
[ Roxi’s face is all bloody and battered as she comes to. There is a large gash on her face, and one eye is swollen. Ted has now bound her legs as well. He picks her up by the legs and drags her into the bathroom. ]
He put me in the bathtub. Then….I remember…the doorbell rang.
The doorbell?
Yeah. I don’t know why, but it did. He left me. I…I grabbed a razor, His shaving razor. I broke it open, and…I tried to cut myself lose.
[ Roxi struggles, cutting her own fingers as she tries desperately to free herself. ]
That explains the cuts on your fingers and back.
I got out, and I tried to get away, he was going through my purse…I couldn’t let him find anything…I had to stop him.
[ Roxi sees Ted going through her purse, and tries to tackle him. The once again grapple around, but again Ted gains the upper hand. The continue to wrestle around, both trying to gain control. ]
I got behind him, I tried to take him down, but the beating he gave me was slowing me down. He got behind me, and started choking me.
[ Ted starts a rear naked choke, then starts running Roxi towards the mirror, She struggles to stop herself, then begins kicking and elbowing Ted. Ted gut-wrenches her to regain control, but with all the energy she has left, she lifts Ted awkwardly upside down, Ted lands head-first on the floor. He pushes off of her as he goes upside down, and it smashes her head-first into the mirror. ]
I tried to get up, but there was more blood loss. I could only see stars and vague shapes. I must have passed out afterward.
[ She blacks out. Cut back to the Medical bay.]
Roxi - The next thing I knew, you were there.
Andrea - You going to be okay?
Roxi - I don’t know anymore, A, I just don’t.
Andrea - You didn’t do anything wrong.
Roxi - Didn’t I?
Sydney - No. He was going to kill you.
Roxi - But I killed him…I took a life. Heroes don’t do that.
Andrea - You did what anyone in your position would do. And you didn’t do it on purpose. It’s not your fault.
Roxi - It is my fault. I should have known. I should have been smarter about it. I was so overcome with emotion that I…I screwed everything up.
Andrea - That’s ridiculous. That -
Roxi - Just…leave me alone for now, A. I need you to go. I need to be alone now.
Andrea - I…
Roxi - Please.
Andrea - Yeah. If you…need anything, I’ll be right here.
Roxi - …
[With that, Andrea walks out the door, leaving Roxi alone to contemplate everything… ]
