An old enemy and an old ally in the same match.
« on: October 30, 2013, 11:24:21 PM »
After several weeks of not being in action Cyrus King was in action this week on Climax Control, too say that it was a big match was a big understatement as he was facing two men that he knew very well from his brief time in ACW, his old ally Casey Williams and his old rival Jeremiah Hardin, on top of that the winner would get a shot at Max Burke’s SCW Roulette Championship, can Cyrus get his first win in SCW?

This could be problematic.

On one hand I have a chance to increase my stock here in SCW by being the next challenger to the SCW Roulette Championship, on the other hand the current champion is my ally Max Burke and my opponents are two men who I know very well from my ACW days, Casey Williams and “Big Tiger” Jeremiah Hardin, two men who I know for completely different reasons.

I don’t know what Mark Ward is thinking booking such a match but at this point I’d take anything if it meant getting my first win.

Casey, as you know, was one of three allies I had during my brief ACW career, the others being Dixon and Lukas, Jeremiah is the man who I had that unsuccessful best of three series against so in a way you could see this as me making up for past mistakes, the unclear intentions of my current allies aside off course.

At the moment I had finally started moving all off my stuff from my house in Miami to up here in Las Vegas, why did it take a couple of weeks? I have a lot of stuff and moving it takes time, add in the fact that I’m wrestling in two feds, both happen to have events going on this week, and I didn’t have time to get everything done at a normal pace.

“Cyrus, are you absolutely sure that’s everything?” Miranda’s voice rang out as she stepped into the room where I was setting up my computer. “And are you sure you don’t want me to set that up?”

“Miranda, you may be the tech expert of the house….” I trailed off as I set up the desktop. “But I like to do things myself sometimes, I know you built this thing for me so I understand your concern.”

“It wasn’t that I was worried about.” Miranda answered as she took a seat. “You’ve been traveling back and forth between Miami and Las Vegas for the past two days taking everything that belonged to you since we’re leaving that house to your sister and you haven’t gotten much sleep in between, are you sure you don’t want some rest?”

“I’ll rest as soon as I…” I trailed off before yawning. “….get this set-up and finish my promo for the match against Casey Williams and Jeremiah Hardin.” I finished before pausing.

“You can’t figure out where the last wire goes, can’t you?” Miranda asked and I nodded with a sigh of resignation before standing up and letting her finish. “I’m just saying if you had let me do it you’d be resting by now.” Miranda added before hitting the power button and sure enough the computer started booting up. “I know that look Cyrus; you have something on your mind about your next match.”

“Several things.” I corrected her as I took a seat and she stood up. “I’ve been allied with Ward and Burke for several weeks now and yet Mark puts me in a match where the winner will face Burke for the Roulette Championship, presumably at the next Supercard, and it’s against Casey Williams and Jeremiah Hardin to boot and we both know my history with those men.”

“Yeah, I know, still if you do win you’ll still get a shot at the title and who knows? Maybe Max will lose it before the next Supercard?” Miranda suggested before going to leave the room. “I’m off to make my breakfast, if you are awake before 12:00 I’ll make you some brunch.” Miranda added before leaving the computer room and heading to the kitchen, now that I have some time to myself it’s time to do my promo.

“It’s hard to believe that only a month ago ACW was brought by SCW talent included, but that’s exactly what happened and under two months later I find myself facing two men I know from ACW, Casey Williams, a man who I was allied with and Jeremiah Hardin, a man who I feuded with, for the Number One Contender to the SCW Roulette Championship, I have one goal in mind for this match and that’s’ to win at any cost so I may as well get started!”

First up is Hardin.

“One win for me, two victories for you, that’s how our feud over at ACW ended and who knows? Maybe it’ll continue here in SCW, either way I intend to tie the score and win my first match here in SCW, you may be planning something entirely different for all I know but I don’t care, as far as I’m concerned this is just a way to significantly increase my stock here in SCW and I’ll do it by winning this match!”

Next up is Casey.

“As for Casey, we were allies once back in ACW but I have no idea if our allegiance will carry over from ACW, that said as I already mentioned my goal in this match is to win it, simple as that, but with competitors the caliber of you two as my opponents I know it won’t be that simple for me! Either way I have no intention of losing this match!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“Casey, Jeremiah, we’re all big men and this match is bound to be a hell of a brawl but in the end only one man will go on to compete against Max Burke in the near future, as far as I’m concerned that title shot practically has my name on it! As for you two, there’s only one thing that you have in your futures, bowing down to the king!”

I left the computer room and headed to the bedroom I shared with Miranda as the scene fades.
