Its mid-afternoon on Sunday, December 16th outside the San Jose Civic Audirium. A moderate sized group of fans have gathered in the parking lot in anticipation for tonight's big event. A worn down red pickup truck pulls up nearby. Trevor Irons and Max Burke get out carrying duffle bags and looks of determination.
Once one fan sees them he calls out and soon a crowd is gathering around them. They seem very excited to see the team known as Young Lions. Some are getting a Lions chant going while others are shaking their hands. Trevor looks pretty bewildered by their enthusiasm.
Trevor: What in the hell is going on? I mean I know I am good looking but we have been in the SCW for a week.
Max: Yeah but we are going after the tag titles this week, that's HUGE news buddy.
Trevor: Yeah but we are going up against well known, popular fighters man. I mean Sinful Obsession are huge crowd favorites... what is going on...
Max: Think back to last Sunday....

It's late at the Knights of Columbus Hall. The main event is over and most people have gone home. Like most Sunday nights the hardcore fans stay after to try and get some face time with the wrestlers. Some of the big stars stay for a while to do this. This Sunday the Young Lions got to take part for the first time and were thrilled to do it. They signed autographs like the others but also stayed later to just talk with fans.
Both Trevor and Max are so thrilled to be there they loose track of time. All the big names have gone home and all that remains are The Young Lions and a dozen local fans just talking about the sport of wrestling.
In the end the building manager had to politely ask the group to leave and the Lions kept up the conversation in the parking lot.

Trevor: Yeah...so what. That was like a dozen local kids
Max points to one of the folks in the crowd. Its one of the kids from last Sunday. He waves to Max and slaps hands with him. Trevor is still not convinced.
Max: Our fans are devoted man. They're small, but mighty. They were LOUD tonight for us.
Trevor: Yeah man I guess.
Trevor quickly signs a SCW t-shirt for someone and the two of them give up trying to make progress to the arena.
Max: Remember Trev, we're still in Cali. Our Cali fans are awesome. Did you catch that youtube vid from Kid Chaos yet?

We are in the basement lair of Kid Chaos. The “Kid” is a very twenty something guy wearing a green and black hoody. He has a long beard and crazy eyes. He is wearing an Empire Wrestling t-shirt. His basement is a shrine to the sport of wrestling. He has posters from local wrestling events. He has a life sized Vixen cutout in the back. When he talks he paces with a great deal of energy.
Kid Chaos: Wake up sheep! Thats right the Child of Chaos is here with another report of everything that matters in the sport of wrestling. Just like every week I have a lot to talk about but before I get into it....I have a very special shout out.
Kid Chaos then throws down his hoody and pulls off his shirt, somewhat ackwardly, to reveal he is wearing a homemade Young Lions T-shirt.
Kid Chaos: Last week Trevor and Max..AKA The Young Lions signed with the SCW. Not only is this a huge boost for SIn City’s tag team division that has been a one man show for far too long BUT it is also a huge moment for this great young team. You folks may not remember Episodes 112 but I talked a lot about these guys when I saw them at an Empire show. I thought they were amazing...the BLEW MY MIND! Dude I can not tell a lie they are this like perfect mix of old school and new school. I could talk for a whole hour about them but let me just say I am excited. I know they are going to go far even if they are associating with that slob Aleksei Koji...AND I want to take this moment to share some truth with you all.
Kid Chaos then grins a maddening grin.
Kid Chaos: I stayed up all night looking at Youtube clips and I can say with near 100% certainty that I was the first person to mention Max and Trevor online. Thats right...ME....so lets all take a moment to reflect on how epic and amazing I am....before I go back to the news at hand....

Trevor looks at Max skeptically.
Trevor: Anyone even watch that guy?
Max laughs as he hops up on the hood of the truck so that he is not feeling so closed in by the fan
Max: That boy lives in San Jose and that video had at least a thousand hits.
Trevor: Man I need to get on the internet more....I am sure glad we did Party Horde Live. That big ole Romanian has a lot of fans....

We find ourselves in a very familar place, the trashed out set of Party Horde Live. Aleksei is sitting there with both Young Lions. In the background a woman is passed out on a giant lion stuffie and it appears that some sort of safai themed party has been going on.
Aleksei: So I am here with the Young Lions...who are my good friends. I saw these guys one night in a small show and they were so good they made me feel sober for a while.
Trevor: Yeah but from what I remember not too long....
Aleksei: Heh...yes that was a wild night.
Trevor: You sold my pants to a stripper...
Max: You got me a one night job at that strip club!
Aleksei: Well yes those things are very true but I want to talk about wrestling stuff. You guys have a match this Sunday. A big big match...how are you guys feeling.
Max: It's an uphill climb for sure. We've had one match in SCW. It's awesome that the brass has faith in us after last week.
Trevor: I feel on top of the world.
Aleksei: Now these guys you are fighting....they all know each other. They know what to expect..but your guys are the wild cards. Do you think that helps you or not so much?
Trevor: Shoot, man the thing is that in that ring most of that stuff doesn’t matter. A guy is going to fight different every different night. Kain might know Sinful Obsession well but they don’t know what they are going to bring on this Sunday. That is what I love most about this sport...any of those guys are skilled enough to adapt to a fighter they don’t;t know but I will let you in on a secret. We are that good too. We don’t;t need to know how Frost fights most night to be able to keep him grounded on the night off and pull off the win. We just need to be at our best.
Max: Exactly. Any given night, anything can happen. If we're at our best that night. We're walking away the champs. We have the mystery of the unknown on our sides.
Aleksei: Big talk...I know I will be glued to my seat watching it....but mostly because Jamie got a new tube of super glue. Is there anyone in the match you're worried about?
Max: I can't single out one person. Sinful Obsession is a well oiled machine. Kain and Frost are awesome in their own rights.
Trevor: Man, I tell you what. I worry about Gabriel. That guy is like the mastermind of that team and he has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. I know what to expect from the others....and I don’t mean any disrespect to those fighters but Gabriel is a wild card.
Aleksei: Oh yeah that guy is a tricky one. He once beat in a match with a magic trick.
Trevor: Thats sad man....
Aleksei: It was a good trick what can I say. So what do you think its going to take to win this one?
Max: Teamwork. We have to go with our strength, and that is working together. Lots of quick tags, combo moves, traditional tag wrestling at its finest.
Trevor: That and we have to keep our wits about us because we are going to be fending off two fighters at any given moment...but shit man that can sometimes be an advantage. You can let the other two pound of eachother for a while and find your time to strike.
Aleksei nods thoughtfully and then gets smacked in the head with a pillow from the girl dressed like a lion. He laughs and growls at the woman who runs off.
Aleksei: Well boys I am excited to see what happens. Thanks for coming to the show and thanks for inspiring me to throw great Safari themed party.
Trevor: Yeah man I was going to ask you what strip twister has to do with Lions?
Aleksei: Strip twister has everything to do with every themed party.
Max just shakes his head as the camera fades out.

Trevor now hops on the hood as well knowing they are going to be here a while. A tall lanky guy with purple dreadlocks gets to the front of the crowd.
Dreadlocks: Hey man. I wanted to let you know that the Party Horde does not show up until later but that we will all be cheering you on. A friend of Aleksei is a friend of ours. You guys makes sure to kick ass to night.
Max: Thanks brother! Aleksei rocks. He's going to be a huge help to us in and out of the ring for sure. We're definitely bonded by the Party Horde!
Trevor shakes the young man's hand and looks out at the crowd. It has grown over the last 15 minutes. Trevor whistles in surprise and shakes his head in amazement.
Trevor: You know when we did that Empire show last night I thought the crowd seemed bigger but this is crazy.
Max: It's a whole different level now Trev.
Trevor: I guess we are in the big time now.
Max: The tag team renaissance in the NWA is catching fire man. It's only a matter of time.
Trevor: Do we have to call it that. That is too fancy and French like....
Max: I think the word is Italian.
Trevor: Well either way I wish it was something more kick ass....but hell if it gets more teams involved with the sport who am I to argue.
Trevor then stands up on the hood over the crowd and looks down at Max
Trevor: I got a good feeling man. We could do this....we could win this thing and shock the world.
Max: Any given night man. Anything can happen. We've got the talent and the drive to pull this off.
Trevor addresses the crowd from the hood of the car.
Trevor: I want yah all to know that I had a vision last night. Its true I did. I had a dream that I was holding the SCW tag team titles in my hand and Sinful Obsession was shaking my hand. We had just put on the best tag team match this promotion had ever seen. Now I can’t tell you if that dream is going to happen tonight but I promise all of yall that it is going to happen.
