The scene opens up on a simple shot of the Iceland airport entrance. Their is the usual hustle and bustle, with people all over the place, dressed in winter clothes, and trying to grab Uber's or Taxi's. Stepping out of the terminal comes 'The Dragon' Travis Levitt in a #DragonEmpire woolen jacket, beanie, and some thick pants. He has a phone pressed to his ear as he walks along the footpath.
Travis Levitt: Yeah Desi, I just walked out of the airport, I made it safely......Flight wasn't too bad. Food was terrible as always, but the beers helped.........Yeah, Will said he'd arranged someone to pick me up at the airport after my flight.....Alright, I'll call you later. Get back in that ring and listen to Em, yeah? She knows what she's talking about.......Love you too, Buttercup.
Travis ends his call and then stops, glancing around slowly as if looking for something, but finally spots a man in front of a Taxi holding a sign for 'TRAVIS LEVITT'. Grinning, Travis wheels over his suitcase, holding a hand out to shake the mans hand and nodding.
Travis Levitt: That would be me. Hi.
The man nods and takes Travis' suitcase, walking it around to the back of an SUV and slipping it in, while Travis climbs into the backseat. Taking off his beanie, Travis glances around the comfortable seats and smiles gently.
Travis Levitt: Will went all out on the comfort, huh?
Travis grinned and shook his head slightly, before rubbing his hands together. When the Driver climbs in, he pulls out a simple folder off the seat next to him and reaches back with it.
Driver: I was told to give you this file when you got in the car, Sir. Are we going to the hotel?
Travis Levitt: If you can swing past a Mickey D's on the way, so I can get some grub, sure. And thanks.
The driver nods and puts the car into gear, while Travis flips open the file. Glancing at it for a moment with a slight tilt to his head.
Travis Levitt: Justin Smith......About the same size as me.......bit of a bully........New Yorker.......Younger then me too.........Hmm. Alright. This should be interesting.
Travis closes the file and sets it aside, before leaning back in his seat, glancing out the window for a long few moments, watching as the driver goes through the Reykjavík streets. The silence reigns for a few moments before Travis pulls out his phone, taking a few moments of looking at it, and then bringing it up to start a recording, and the scene switches to the view of the camera.
Whats up, Dragonites! Its the Ol' Dragon Balls himself coming at you from the backseat of a nice big SUV that Ryder hired for me. Another step on my never ending tour all around the world I guess, so whichever local SUV company Will hired, thanks guys! Appreciate it. I'm sure Will can tag you guys in the mentions of this video, yeah?
ANYWAY, onto this weeks topic. Sin City! And yes, I know, it must be weird hearing me say those words while you can see cold weather and lots of ice all around me. But I'm not talking of Vegas, but one of this Dragon's ol' stomping grounds. The good ol' Sin City Wrestling! I last was here for Climax 400 and I have to admit......It feels good to be coming back. Like a Blast from the Past! HEEEEY!
But thats what I'm here for, yeah? Blast from the Past. A big ol' tournament and a chance to.....another chance to try and claim my destiny. I've been wrestling for twenty plus years now, and I'm so close Dragonites. I can feel it.....World Title in my future! THATS why The Dragon is coming back. Thats why I'm here in Iceland, getting ready for a first round match against Justin Smith.
Now, Smitty.....I can call you Smitty, right? There's no grudge here from me. No intent to hurt or....break you. You seem like a good wrestler, busting your ass and doing your best to try and get to the top. And here in Sin City, it seems you've been a good loyal grappler, and that's always good to see. But the truth is, you're just a name to me at this point. And that's okay! Because I'm sure that's the same for me, to you. I mean....you see another Dragon crossing your path, probably roll your eyes, sneer a little. Can't believe there's........there's more wrestlers that think they can go by a cool nickname like 'The Dragon' and just.......be a success?
Holy shit, look at the size of that Snowman! That was so cool!
Where was I? Oh right. Smitty, I get it. I do. You don't know who I am really, and that's fine. I'm just some other blow-in stepping into Sin City territory just for the tournament, yeah? But I've been here before. I always get along great with the front office. I'm a former Roulette champion. I have special attraction status. When things like Blast from the Past are coming, the office reaches out to me. Asks if I'm interested. And I nearly always am, because I appreciate and admire Sin City. Its such a different company, and its filled with so many great talents. You got your Alex Jones, FInn Whelan, J2H, Kristopher Ryans, Alicia Lukas......I love their work.
But they also have people like you, Smitty. The man with a bland name, blander haircut, and an opportunity in front of you. One tournament. One World Title shot. All you have to do is beat The Dragon. And I bet there is a big part of you, training hard, working harder, sensing that moment right in front of you and ready for it.....you probably dream of chances like this.
Well. Unfortunately for you, in the company based around the city of gambling, you got the suckers bet. Because your first round is against the Dragon, which means your chances are going up in flames.
I don't mean to toot my own horn too much. I mean....I'm all over the world. I wrestle anywhere from three to five times a week. I take on the best, and I can stand toe-to-toe with them. I'll be headlining a show in Wembley in a few weeks for the ZION Global Heavyweight Championship. I got a chance at the...uhhh......PWValor World Title coming up. Facing a little known guy called Matthew Knox. Should be good.
What I'm really trying to get across here, Smitty, without sounding like an overbearing ass, is that I've made a name for myself. I'd like to think I'm making a legacy for my kid to follow. And the one thing that can cement that for me? Is winning a World Title. So, this tournament is a huge chance for me. A shot to come back to the old stomping grounds, enjoy some familiar faces, and see how deep I get in this tournament. I literally am, the Blast from the Past for Sin City. And you and me are going to do our dance on Climax Control. And your.....well, you're going to do your best. You have so much to gain here.
But I have everything to gain and nothing to lose. And when you face a Dragon with odds like that? I don't like your chances.
So anyway. I think I see some golden arches ahead of me, so I better cut this off. I got some quarter pounders to kill. But I'll be seeing you all in a couple of days. Its been a pleasure, Dragonites.
Flame On.
