The scene opens up with Justin Smith standing in outside the PHX Arena in Phoenix , home of the Phoenix Suns. He stops before going to ask for tickets for the San Jose Clippers game to call his friend and former trainer Casey Williams.
Justin-Hey Casey, looks like I’m in a match against Daniel Morgan and Vincent Lyons Jr for a chance to wrestle Kevin Carter for the Internet title. What do you think my chances are?
Casey-Daniel is more experienced and they both have a different skill set than you. You’re not a bad wrestler, but I feel they are better. You need to do whatever it takes to win, by any means necessary!
Justin-I am aware, I’m not worried though, I am going to do whatever it takes to win.
Casey-I know, and I shouldn’t have doubted you, but can you blame me, you haven’t won many matches.
Justin-Yet I proved everybody wrong, did I not at Inception when I got arguably the biggest victory of my career, beating Bill Barnhart.
Casey-I’ll send Dying Breed and Hitamashii to train with you.
Justin waves off the cameraman, asking him to leave so Justin can continue his conversation as the scene fades to black.
The next day, Justin is seen at his hotel room, getting ready to go to the gym to get a workout in, but turns with an evil look in his eyes to call out his opponents, first calling out Daniel Morgan.
Justin-Daniel, we meet again. I know you’ve had the upper hand against me in the past, but that’s in the past. You may look at me like I am a joke, but I will prove to you and to the world that I am not the joke you think I am. I am going to do everything in my power to keep you from defeating me again. You will NOT be facing Kevin Carter for the Internet championship when I defeat you and Vincent in this match. There is nothing you can do about me emerging victorious in this match and going onto Blaze of Glory XIII to compete for my first title in SCW. I will show you that I am not intimidated by you and the victories you have over me, much like I did against Bill Barnhart.
Justin smiles and cackles before calling out his other opponent in Vincent Lyons Jr., the cousin of Eddie Lyons.
Justin-Vincent, you are the weakest link in this match, and I will expose you for how pathetic you truly are. I know you’ve come from a talented family but doesn’t mean you got any of their talent. People laugh at me because I am not the greatest wrestler, but when they see me defeat you, you will become the laughingstock of SCW, as I will be the one going forward to the Internet Championship match! You say that the stuff you’ve been through would have broken a man like me. You know nothing about me and what I’ve been through. Not only that, I doubt you can take the beatings I have endured in my life and still manage to get back up and continue to fight. The battles I have endured here in SCW are nothing compared to what I’ve endured. I was left practically lifeless before I discovered Casey William’s wrestling school. I will show you what true grit actually is.
The scene fades to black with Justin hums his theme song “Madness” as he leaves the hotel room to go to the gym.
