The home of J2H was filled with luxury items most people can only dream of owning, fancy clothes, expensive pieces of art, all the modern gadgets that people often wish they had, but he stood in a room that meant more to him then all those expensive toys and threads. He looked around his trophy room, various pictures of winning moments all over the walls, a case with every championship belt he'd ever earned, award after award rested on a shelf, showing his life in wrestling. He turned to face the camera.
J2H: This is what its all about, isn't it? This is what everyone aspires to have from the second they step in the ring. No one wants those memories of grinding shit out in front of two hundred people, this is what every professional wrestler wants. This is what you want, isn't it, Jayden?
He waved his hand around to his trophy case of championship belts.
J2H: It's all about being the big dog in the biggest company in the world, its not about grinding shit out, its about being known as the greatest wrestler of all time and that's who I am, and that's who you want to be. I'm not fucking stupid, I know the way your mind works, it's prison mentality, it always was, way back when I was whooping your daddy all over the place, it was swing for the biggest dog in the pound and that's what you did when you hit me with that car. You swung for the fences, thinking you could end me, but you embarrassed yourself, because you didn't even come close to that.
He smirked as confidence ran through his body.
J2H: Let's cut the shit, the sad truth is, is you just want to be just like me, you want the life I'm living, you're fucking jealous bro and you stink of it, I can smell it from here, but you're just the dollar store version of me. Everything you've done to try and rip me down, everything you've done to try and destroy me, to bring me down to your low little level has been an absolute failure, everything you've tried to do to get in my head, fucking failure, you Jayden, you're a fucking failure. You should be glad I'm even giving you the time of day, because we all know how this is gonna go. I've beaten the best the world has had to offer and you don't even come close to lacing up their boots.
He felt confident in every word he spoke as he looked in to the camera with cold, serious eyes.
J2H: What have you done here to even be in my spotlight? Fucking nothing! You've bombed out of everything, walked away from Blast From The Past, done nothing anyone can remember but on Sunday, I will make people remember you, I will make them know your name, because the amount of ass kicking I'm gonna give you is gonna be remembered for the rest of everyone's lives. Remember, this is what you wanted when your little sick mind decided to get behind that wheel all those months ago and try to end my life, this is what you wanted when you chose to try and be a big man and come after something you can't fucking deal with and now it's time to pay the piper. All debts will be recovered but it's not about your money, because you're about to pay in blood. I let you off once before, let you walk the streets as a free man, but now I won't let you off the hook bro, I won't let you walk again, because this is where it all comes home, this is where I end what you fucking started and this is something you will be remembered for. The amount of blood you're about to lose, that horrified look on your face when you know that fucked up, that's what people are going to remember. I'm gonna make you fucking famous.
A slight smile crossed his face as he looked down the camera.
J2H: You will never have this life, you will never have the accolades or the gold that I do, you will not be remembered for anything other then what I'm gonna do to you on Sunday. You will not be remembered for anything other then the beating I'm about to give you, it's that fucking simple so any thoughts of you standing a chance in this match, get right out of your head because you stand no chance at all, not one single chance of anything at all. I know what's going through your tiny little mind and you should be having second thoughts, you should be sitting there with all the doubt in the world in your mind because boy you're about to get fucked up.
Just the thought of getting his hands on Jayden brought that smile back to his face.
J2H: I can not wait to get my hands on you Jayden, I can not wait to wrap my hands around your neck and choke the fucking life out of you for what you've done. I can not wait to put you through windshield after windshield. I can not wait to feel your blood on my hands, I can not wait to see you cry and whimper after you realise how fucked you are. This isn't a game Jayden, this isn't something you can switch off because you know you're fucked, you started something you can't finish but I can and will finish it. It's been on my mind ever since I saw you drag your worthless ass in to Blast From The Past. I knew our path would cross, I made sure our paths would cross. I flew halfway across the fucking world to make sure our paths crossed and you got what was coming to you. You should have let sleeping dogs lie, take your licks like a man and walked away but you had to keep pushing things with me, you had to say my name again, you had to drag me back in to do what I'm about to do and you're about to regret every fucking second of it. You're gonna wish you never came to this place, because every fucking punch I land, and there will be a lot of them, is gonna remind you that you should be sitting at home yelling at twelve year olds on Call of Duty or something because Sunday, you're gonna regret being born.
He took a deep breath as he looked down the camera.
J2H: You need to face facts, face the cold hard truth that you'll never be me, that you'll never be on my level, that you'll never be anywhere near as good as I am. No one will ever be on that level, you're not even on the level of seventeen year old me. My young son could out wrestle you, out talk you and make you look like the bitch you are.
The smile returns for a few seconds as he thought about his next words.
J2H: You got a couple of days to run and change your mind, fake an injury, disappear off the face of this planet. No one would blame you if you did and no one would fucking care, they already know how this is going down, they already know I got this won so save yourself the months and months of therapy and rehab and all that bullshit. Save yourself the hospital stay because all this, from day one when you started this bullshit because you knew Daddy couldn't beat me on his own, it's been building up since then and we've reached breaking point and I am gonna break your fucking face, I'm gonna make you feel like you've been hit by a moving car, I'm gonna make you feel like you've been worked over by a fucking steamroller because once I start punching, I won't be stopping any time soon.
He exhaled slowly as he tilted his head.
J2H: What I'm about to do, is your fucking fault. It's not mine, it's not your family's fault, it's not the fans fault, it falls on one person's head and that's yours and I will remind you of that over and over again when I smear your blood on every car in that parking lot. With every spec of glass that falls, you will be reminded just how much of a fucking idiot you are Jayden. Those scars that will be left on your face will be a constant reminder of just how stupid you really are. Every time you look in the mirror and see what I've done to you, you're gonna think of me, you're gonna be haunted by me every fucking day of your life. This is not a threat, this is a one hundred percent promise that I will fuck you up more then anyone else has ever done.
He turned to look at the collection of awards on a nearby shelf.
J2H: I'm sure you'll want one of these just like ya daddy got, I'm sure you want to be better then he ever was, but you're not even half the man he was and no matter how hard you try, you never will be. You're just gonna be one of those next generation stars that fail to live up to everyone that has come before him. Your father beat the respect in to me, but that's something you could never do. We will bleed together on Sunday, I have no fucking doubt about that, but I will never, ever respect you, I will never look at you with anything other then pure hatred. You will never earn my respect for as long as you live, I will never see you as a threat to me, my legacy, my past, present or future. I will always be so much more then you could ever be.
He pointed to himself.
J2H: I am exactly who you want to me, but it will never happen, you won't beat me on my worst day and on your best day. Looking at me is not looking in to the future for you because you're not good enough for this life, you're not good enough for people to give a shit about you. It's no secret that no one on the planet likes you and they're just waiting for me to end you for good and I'm feeling generous so come Sunday, I'll give them all their wish and make this the last time anyone has to see that slapable face of yours. There's not one version of you that you can bring that is gonna change that, not one single version because I'm more confident now then I've ever been in my entire life. Come Sunday, the whole world will rejoice, the whole world will celebrate the end of you Jayden. I will be their hero and you'll be done for good.
He waved a finger at the camera.
J2H: And that's real talk bitch!
It was supercard week for SCW and wrestlers from the top of the card to the bottom of the card were in Hawaii, selling the show to everyone who would listen. Some would do TV spots, appearing on various shows to talk about SCW, others might do radio, but J2H didn't want to do either. He decided to just sit and talk to a reporter about the upcoming show. He opted to choose the beach for his interview, looking out at the blue waves creeping across the shore. His eyes focused in the distance, below the peak of his baseball cap, watching as others splash in the water. Impatiently, he looked at his expensive watch and muttered to himself.
J2H: Where the fuck is she?
He briefly considered standing up and leaving but held out for a few minutes when he was finally approached by a young woman.
Young woman: J2H?
He didn't bother to look up at the woman.
J2H: No autographs.
His tone was blunt but the young woman wasn't phased by his demeanour as she sat down next to him.
Young woman: No, I'm Cara, I'm here to interview you.
He turned his head to look at the woman and raised an eyebrow towards here.
J2H: What are you? Like twelve or something?
The youthful looking woman couldn't help but smile at J2H.
Cara: I'm twenty one. I'm from the local news website and...
He abruptly put his hand in the air.
J2H: Not really interested. I'm just here because SCW make you do this shit leading up to the big shows, if not, I'd be in my hotel room ignoring the world.
Cara: How could you miss out on views like these?
She pointed around the scenery as she spoke but J2H looked at her with a cold stare.
J2H: Very easily. Besides, staying out of public view is great when it comes to avoiding Mikah's hell spawn kids. So yeah, I could live without these views. Now you got some questions to ask?
Cara: Sure, just a second.
She reached in to her pocket, pulling out a tape recorder and hit the button on it to record everything that was to be said.
Cara: So welcome to Hawaii, how have you found it so far?
Internally, J2H was screaming at the unimportant question.
J2H: Like I do when I always come here. This isn't the first time I've been here, probably won't be the last. I don't hate it, I don't love it. I never understood places where they bury food to cook it but whatever. Think we can ask more important questions?
The woman frowned at him as he turned his head away, looking at nothing in particular in the distance.
Cara: Ok, let's talk about the upcoming show, how do you feel about it being on an actual battleship?
J2H: It's SCW, they've hosted shows on ships before. Hell, I think if Christian Underwood had his way, he'd try and do a show in Narnia or something. It's different though I guess, never fought on a battleship but meh. I don't know where the fuck they're gonna put a parking lot on there but I don't care, I show up, win and go home.
He really wasn't sure how a parking lot brawl was meant to take place on a ship but he didn't care, his mind was more on his opponent then the locale.
Cara: That's an interesting point. You spoke about it being a parking lot because it's a parking lot brawl. Does your mind change going in to that compared to a regular match?
He was already becoming bored with the question and his face reflected that.
J2H: It just means there's no rules and I can smash someone's face in to a car. My mind only changes when I think about all the shit I can get away with.
She looked slightly unsettled by his response but continued to push on.
Cara: Let's talk about the past. Have you done anything in the past that could give you an advantage in this type of match?
J2H: I've done much bigger matches then this shit. Compared to half the stuff I've done, this match is nothing, but everything people has done in their careers lead them to where they are to get an advantage. All the stuff I've done has given me the experience to get me through this. My opponent, compared to me, other then the fact he is a certified idiot, he doesn't have the experience to beat me in this thing. He doesn't have the skills to get through this without me dragging his ass through it. Don't be fooled in to thinking this is a wrestling match. It's not even close, this is a straight up fight and I don't lose those.
Cara: How does these types of matches effect your family?
He raised his eyebrow at the unexpected question and looked at her through narrowed eyes.
J2H: You would have to ask them, but they know I know how to get shit done. They know I know how to handle business. They've seen me go through much worse. They saw my recovery after getting hit by a car, they saw me in match after match where violence was a given. My wife used to wrestle, she knows what it's all about and my son loves wrestling. Everyone who gets in that ring is a superhero to him.
Cara couldn't help but smile as she looked at J2H, his face somehow changed while talking about his family.
Cara: That's sweet, are your family here with you? I would love to meet them.
J2H: They are in Hawaii, but they didn't need to be here. They're by the pool or something so I doubt you'll get to meet them.
Cara: That's a shame. So back to the wrestling questions. How do you prepare for matches? Any superstitions?
J2H: Wrestlers aren't really superstitious, some pray in their mind but I don't think anyone is that superstitious. I just show up and go out there and do what I do best. I hit the gym most days but I would do that if I wasn't about to show up and fight. People just do what they need to for people to buy tickets but I don't need to really even do that. People want to see me anyway.
Cara: Well you are one of the most famous wrestlers in the world.
He knew she was stroking his ego, he wasn't sure she even had any interest in wrestling with the unusual questions, but he went with it anyway.
J2H: I'm not one of the most famous wrestlers in the world, I am the most famous wrestler in the world. No one has ever done what I have in wrestling, no one has even come close to what I've done in wrestling and no one ever will. When I was a kid, I told myself I was gonna be the best fucking wrestler in the world and here I am, the best wrestler in the world. I don't need the title, I don't need the main event to be the best there has ever been. I am the best there's ever been. It's no coincidence that whenever I'm around, sales go through the roof. People are not coming here to be bored to death by the rest of the roster, they're coming here to see me. People are flying in from all over the world just to see me. Did you know that?
Cara: I did not.
J2H: Well it's fucking true. When you look at the crowd, there's gonna be more J2H signs then any other wrestler. There always is because people wanna see me kick the shit out of someone. Believe me, they always leave happy cause its what I do.
She looked at him, politely keeping a straight face.
Cara: I like the confidence.
J2H: It's not confidence, it's straight fact. There's a reason I keep coming back, because SCW need me more then I need to wrestle. They know I'm the one who makes them more money then anyone else on the roster.
He stood up and looked down at Cara.
J2H: We done now? Good, because I'm bored out of my fucking head sitting here.
Without another word, J2H walked away without a single care in the world, leaving the young reporter stunned and confused as the scene ends.
