“And so it begins.”

The figure dressed once again in his dark hooded robe was Tommy McMaster known in some quarters as The Wildfire. His robe blew in the wind as he scaled the roof of The Venetian. He sat on the edge, his feet dangling as he surveyed the scene below him.

“Look at these morsels, these waste of molecules. I am their savior but do they listen? No they just go on about their lives trying to act as if they have a social and ecological conscience. These lemmings go to the trough time and time again, begging their masters to enslave them whilst there should be a war raging among them. Even the so-called left are so anti-establishment and tweet or tik tok about it all the time while sipping their cappuccino from starbucks. They are all morons. Can they not see the path in front of them? The path I have sown for them? Little ant people making the fat cats fatter and setting the kids of this land into poverty. If you look down it is like some model village for these simpletons. You can leave it all in Las Vegas, they say, it is fine for debauchery and sinning ways just as long as you leave it at the door on your way out. These people are so stupid.”

He bent forward, almost tipping himself over the edge which was not lost on the pyromaniac.

“Just like I am, we are on the precipice of something monumental. Change on a global scale and I have started this change. I took that one step forward into the unknown and the ripple effect is being felt as I speak. Look at what I achieved in just one short segment. It caught the attention of the powers that be and they gave me a match at High Stakes. I do not believe for one moment these crass power hungry charlatans give a damn about me and were hoping someone else would accept that brain dead open challenge by Caleb but I was the one who said I accept so they had to go with it. They do not want to open that door. Once the rapping of the knuckles is heard, these power obsessed idiots know by an opening of a lock they could lose all of that which was granted and when I defeat this Caleb on my first pay per view in Sin City, the door will be flung open and then it cannot be shut again. When you open up to the world, all those sycophants and servants could take what is yours but High Stakes is where I draw my line in the sand and say NO MORE. Follow me and you will find the darkest times but this is not about death and destruction. Once it is burnt to the ground you will see the regeneration but first I must take that one step. I must take it for the good of the world, not just for humans but for every living being. I must take that one foot and cross that hedonistic line and I must set fire to this narcissistic world we live in. That one step, Caleb, unfortunately for you, is your demise but take it as you are meant to and realise your own rebirth and out of the ashes of your cremation you will spring at my side as we tear this monopoly down piece by piece.”

He swung his feet up, spun around and sat in the lotus position with his back to the ledge. He lowered the hood to reveal his newly dyed hair. A smirk spread across his lips.

“Caleb Storms. I doubt you will come and follow me so easily but when you face the new world, when you see what you asked for maybe next time you will not openly challenge anyone again. I know you are stuck in the old world mentality of being a cyber slave to the illuminati but why I will do to you is not for the faint hearted but what it will entail is for your benefit. I will take no joy in your decimation but Caleb, it is what I must do, don’t you see? I have no enjoyment of torturing you for the sake of it. I do not waste time or energy on such a destructive way of living but to free you; to ultimately free you from your slavery to the social media order, I must annihilate everything you know. You exist to feed the banks of the chosen and not your own needs. You, like the masses, will not listen to me or anyone that tells them not to use that phone, that pad or that computer, you only learn from violently forcing you to see your real self. When the Wildfire takes hold you have no other option but give in to the force of the flames. Call this your first lesson in the new world, Caleb. Your next one is coming soon.”

The WIldfire doused himself in gasoline, set himself ablaze, and called for the end of the old world as we see security run to him with fire extinguishers and we fade.

“Who?”
« Reply #2 on: November 14, 2020, 08:56:56 PM »
Caleb had no match scheduled for High Stakes X. so what did he do? What else but issue an open challenge at the Go Home Show for High Stakes X to the tune of YMCA, it didn’t take long for the challenge to be accepted by a newcomer to SCW by the name of Tommy McMaster who had chosen the biggest show of the SCW calendar to make his debut, Caleb was coming off a win over Bill Barnhart two weeks ago and was looking to continue his winning ways and now only that but if J2H beat Teddy Steele he was going to give Caleb the Internet Championship, can Caleb win?

In the parking lot of the Gold Coast Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada
Sunday the 8th of November 2020, 12:30am

That went better than I expected.

And yes I’m talking about the Village People parody, given how many gay people are on the roster I was half expecting them to jump all over me for desecrating YMCA like that but the fact that I’m still in one piece should tell you otherwise.

And off course, that leaves on big question, who is my opponent at High Stakes?

“Well, at least that stunt didn’t get you on anyone’s bad side.” Katie commented as we walked towards our car ready to return home, we could see the Salco clan from across the lot, but Jessie was clearly still pissed off about the Roulette Title situation, so we chose to ignore them. “Well, aside from whoever accepts your open challenge.”

“All I’m saying is that I won’t complain unless Fenris flies back from Iceland to accept my challenge.” I responded with a nervous laugh and Katie shook her head before I got a text. “Well, that didn’t take long, someone’s answered my challenge.”

“Was it someone who wasn’t in a title match or someone from SCU using your challenge as an excuse to get booked on the biggest show of the year?” Katie asked and I shook my head in response to both questions. “Then who was it?”

“A newcomer.” I responded simply and Katie gave me a surprised look. “Guy by the name of “Wildfire” Tommy McMaster, Mark didn’t say much about him aside from the fact that he’s from Seattle, Washington. He’s a big guy, as in over three hundred pounds and that he thinks he’s a good guy.”

“He thinks he’s a good guy?” Katie asked before shaking her head. “Great, just what we need, another delusional wrestler in SCW! Come to think of it, when was the last time someone made their SCW debut at High Stakes?”

“Do I look like Mercedes Vargas?” I responded jokingly and Katie laughed in response. “I’ll read up on his profile when we get back home but Mark described him as a decorated champion in other companies.”

“The same can be said for Stephan Callaway and Maki and look at how well they are doing in SCW!” Katie pointed out as she shook her head. “At least Stephan’s competing at High Stakes after getting slammed off a second floor balcony, but Maki hasn’t been seen since her Internet Title Match against Myra, claiming that she got injured at some point.”

“Probably a good thing, considering Sin has called her out on several occasions.” I pointed out before we got in the car. “Can you drive? I’ve got some calls to make.”

“You’ve been saying that all week.” Katie stated as she got in the drivers’ seat. “Who exactly are you calling?”

“You’ll see.” I responded and Katie shook her head before driving off.

Caleb’s studio, Las Vegas, Nevada
Wednesday the 11th of November 2020, 18:00pm

This is what I meant by phone calls.

You see, after my parodies started to pick up steam local musicians with nothing better to do (since, you know, COVID-19 and all that shit) started getting in contact with me interested in actually forming a band, yes, I’m serious about that, initially I dismissed it as a joke and I still had a batch of parodies to get through (not counting Roxi’s Soul, Who Let Bill Barnhart Out and Apology Train since they were written the same week they aired on Climax Control)  hence why I used Skar Productions of YouTube fame for my first parody of the cycle.

But now? Things are getting interesting.

“Okay, pizza is on the way.” I commented as I approached the band members, narrowing things down was difficult as there a lot of talented metal musicians in Las Vegas but I pulled it off in the end, I would be sharing lead guitar duties with John whilst Louie played on Rhythm Guitar, that left Chris on Bass and Rick on Drums, it didn’t take us long to gel as a band (and it helps that they are all SCW fans) and hey, maybe once COVID-19 is a thing of the past maybe we’ll start writing original material and start touring, which would obviously depend on my SCW schedule. “You guys up for a jam?”

“You know it man.” John nodded in response before we shared a fist bump, Katie, Lemmy and Tom (a giant of a man who was a friend of the other musicians and would likely serve as a manager should we ever decide to make this an official thing) were sitting in the recording booth listening in as we played an Iron Maiden cover, I may be a good vocalist but I’m no Bruce Dickinson so you can imagine how well that went.

“This whole thing started as a publicity stunt to help his wrestling career.” Katie commented as she watched us play the song. “I had no idea that it would escalate this quickly.”

“Hey, sometimes things happen for a reason and they do seem tight.” Tom pointed out with a shrug as they watched us play. “Caleb was in a band before he joined SCW, right?”

“Yeah, a Death/Thrash Metal band called The Storm Within, music was great, but it never went anywhere, and Caleb made the decision to quit the band to start with SCW.” Katie explained with a nod as we continued to play. “The band dissolved not long afterwards but things were already on thin ice when a founding member of the band quit after a show and well, they never reconciled, off course Caleb’s had more success in SCW since then.”

“Those things happen in music I’m afraid.” Tom responded with a nod as we wrapped up the song. “The guys have all been in a few bands each, different styles of metal and all.”

“Remind me to ask them for details at some point.” I responded before there was a knock at the door (sending Lemmy into excited dog mode in the process) and I checked. “Caleb, the pizza’s here.” Katie said through the microphone and I set my guitar aside so I could go pay.

*promo time*

By now the members of my new band (plus Tom) have all left leaving me to put the final touches on my planned parody for High Stakes X, speaking off High Stakes X it was time that I got started on my promo.

“I will admit that when I issued the open challenge, I had no idea who was going to answer, and yes I know that’s the point of an open challenge, it could’ve been anyone on the roster, hell it could’ve been a returning Fenris, but as I said the first time I managed to piss off Fenris, thank god! Instead I’m taking on a newcomer to SCW in his first ever High Stakes Match as I am taking on “Wildfire” Tommy McMaster.”

Yeah, I know what you’re thinking.

“Who? Yeah, that was basically my reaction when I saw who had answered my open challenge but from what I gathered he joined SCW just in time to make his debut at High Stakes X and when I issued the open challenge, he jumped at the opportunity! That said, the size difference between me and Tommy definitely plays more into Tommy’s hands than it plays into mine as he’s six foot ten and weighs in at 324ibs whilst I’m 6ft 2 and weigh in at 220ibs, for those too lazy to do the math, that’s a height difference of eight inches and a weight difference of 104ibs, am I worried?”

Ha, no.

“Dude, I faced Fenris five times on separate occasions, once during my first Blast from the Past Tournament, then in a random singles match, then in a Fatal Four Way for the World Heavyweight Championship, then in a Lion’s Den Match and finally in a Six Pack Challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, yes I have faced scarier people than you Tommy and frankly, I would’ve been worried if Fenris had answered my challenge instead, you? Your nothing to me!”

And I will win!

“You may not know me Tommy, but you will know me soon enough as the next Internet Champion, check the card if you don’t believe me, and the guy who’s going to beat you in your debut match! You made a mistake answering my open challenge Tommy but your clearly deluded enough to think that you are a good guy so you must’ve deluded yourself into thinking that you could beat a former Roulette and Mixed Tag Team Champion, spoiler alert, it aint happening!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“This open challenge was basically my way to ensure that I wasn’t left off the High Stakes X card and as luck would have it, the guy who answered it has the entire roster going “who?” as Tommy McMaster is choosing the biggest event of the SCW Calendar to make his debut and against me no less! But he’ll soon learn that he’s made a mistake as he had better brace himself because a storm is brewing, otherwise he’ll be blown away by the metal god of SCW “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms at High Stakes X!”

I walked off as the scene fades.

The cloaked figure of Tommy McMaster, the so-called Wildfire, was sitting at a blackjack table in some seedy underground casino on the strip. As the heat rose from so many people including hookers, side hustlers, made men and shady shenanigans, The Wildfire clicked his fingers, and everything halted to a stop. Everyone in the middle of doing something, snorting coke, spilled drinks were stuck in motion. He chuckled to himself, swung around on his chair to look up at the grainy security camera feed.
“Last week was about the manifesto and to help Caleb Storms free from the fake ties that bound him to the World Order. I mentioned how I want to bring him into the fold as a Wildfirite but I also need to break the shackles around him and that is what this is for. You cannot offer the blind to wilfully see and not expect resistance. You may call me mad for such talk as a blind person would jump at the chance (and probably hit their head on a ceiling fan) but all they have known is about to be stripped away. All those memories of a dark and distant world will be illuminated and just maybe they believe life has been and should always be this way. Caleb Storms is of similar ilk.
I call it ‘The Violent Angel’ method. You may see it as something else but to completely cure someone of their falsehoods they and you need to dig deep and find that violence that is stored inside of you. That unabashed feeling of ill will towards humanity. Search within yourself, Caleb, find that part of you that knows you are in a simulation, that you are but another automaton feeding the super computers of the world that run this god forsaken place. Yet, you are the one who offered this open challenge that I readily accepted. This marks you as different, as someone who truly WANTS to feel violent therapy. It was as if you knew I would accept and have the most vicious and beneficial of debuts at your expense but how could someone as weak minded as you come up with such a conniving plan? “

To Tommy it seemed that after all he was doing for humanity and in that same token, Caleb Storms, yet why was he letting such a snivelling bastard into the fold of the future of mankind? It was very curious and one in which he would need to ponder but right now was not the time.
He looked into the eyes of a stunning redhead, an obvious mafia mole but still he wouldn’t mind laying with her. Not at all. Focus on the task at hand.

“You may want to know why I have endeavoured to add you to the flock, you may think it strange that I would want to tear you limb from limb and then grab your hand and welcome you with open arms; I have to admit that I have wondered the same thing because you are simpleton and beneath me to even lock up with you but I need to free you not because I like or hate you but because it must be done. Caleb, I am deeply sorry for what will happen when the violent therapy hits home but you should never have offered such a challenge. Once The Wing and A Prayer is hit you will feel an implosion, Caleb. It will feel like your internal organs are ravished, that your brain is likely to combust but hold that feeling and really listen to it. That is you being free of the societal restraints, free of the megalomania of the internet based world and finally you can choose your destiny and not some alternative algorithm.

There is so much studying of your wrestling style, the moves you hit, the way you portray this character but in the end what you say and do in everyday life shows more meaning. This is why I have been living in your loft. I know. It is a tad creepy and for someone as tall as I am it really gets cramped which is why from time to time I attended your crawl space too. I needed to know the man you really are. I needed to live and breathe the way you do. I learnt everything I needed and even sometimes this week I have sedated you in your sleep and just sat there watching you and I heard it, oh I heard what you whispered in your sleep. You said ‘Tommy no, don’t let me die, don’t let the trolls win’ Do you not see it, Caleb? Trolls are not real. They never have been. Like paying for followers, the social media world pays for these trolls, it creates more traffic and hashtags for you weaker generations. So I am prepared and I hope you are too. Your saviour is here, Caleb, just let me in.”[/color]

Suddenly the backstreet casino hall burst into flames as the laughing face of The Wildfire was encompassed by the flames of his own making.

“Ending the year with a win!”
« Reply #4 on: November 20, 2020, 08:01:26 PM »
High Stakes X was drawing near and there was two things on Caleb’s mind, one, putting his new band together and two, beating the newcomer Tommy McMaster in his debut match “Wildfire” Tommy McMaster towered over Caleb and had a significant weight advantage over the self-proclaimed rock god of SCW, can Caleb keep his winning ways alive by beating the newcomer in his debut?

Caleb’s studio, Las Vegas, Nevada
Friday the 20th of November 2020, 18:00om

Well, it might be the week of the PPV, but I still have work to do and that’s not counting my workouts in preparation for my match.

Last time you were here I had recruited a band of local musicians and, Chris, Louie, John and Rick, and we were planning on becoming a full fledged band with original music and everything once concerts were allowed again, well that hasn’t changed but there has been a development that has hindered my plans, no it’s not COVID-19, if it was I’d be forced to miss the biggest payday of the year and Tommy McMaster would need a new opponent, though the actual cause of the hinderance has me slightly worried.

“So, let me get this straight?” Katie asked as she paced around the recording booth of the studio whilst Lemmy lay at my feet, I had just showed her the message that my new bandmates had sent me, and she wasn’t impressed. “Even though there’s a fucking pandemic going on, your new band has decided to go visit family in the Nevada area as an early Christmas? Just when I thought the Fenris costume was going to be the dumbest thing I’ve seen during this Supercard cycle!”

“Aside from that last bit, that was how I reacted.” I responded with a nod and Katie shook her head with the loudest face-palm I’ve heard all year. “Louie, John and Chris apparently have the antibodies to fight the virus because they had minor cases of it earlier this year, that just leaves Rick and Tom but I’m hoping that they manage to avoid contact with anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms in general.”

“They may as well start looking for a winning lottery ticket in a landfill!” Katie pointed out with an exasperated look on her face. “And what will we do when they come back, and it turns out that at least one of them came into contact with someone with the virus?”

“Hope that it’s during the Supercard break and that I’m not booked for the first Climax Control of the new cycle?” I offered as a beacon of hope and Katie had to admit that I had a point. “And let’s face it, it could always get worse, the studio could get shut down because of the pandemic.”

“I thought you said “worse”, not better.” Katie teased me and I shook my head in response before she changed the subject. “Have you had time to watch one of Tommy McMaster’s promos?” Katie asked as she leaned against the wall.

“Been busy practicing, both for my match and as a guitarist.” I responded as I motioned to my electric guitars. “But from what I heard, he didn’t really have that much to say in them, almost like he wants to keep things short and sweet.”

“Maybe you’ll get lucky and the match will be short and sweet.” Katie commented with a chuckle before pausing. “In your favour of course.” Katie added before we felt our stomachs rumble and I glanced at the time on my iPhone.

“Six thirty already? Where has the time gone?” I wondered before putting the phone down and glancing up at Katie. “So, Uber Eats or Dominos?”

“We’ve had those two options the last two times we’ve stayed here late.” Katie pointed out before getting an idea. “I’m going to look into what local restaurants are doing takeaway due to the pandemic, might actually get a decent meal for once.” Katie added before getting her phone out. “You want anything specific or are you not bothered?”

“As long as it tastes good, that’s all that matters.” I told my wife and she nodded before leaving the recording booth to look up the places, she was gone for a bit before I suddenly felt tired and fell asleep.

*Caleb’s dream*

I found myself in a familiar place, Catton Hall, Derbyshire, otherwise known as the home of Bloodstock Open Air, but rather than being out in the field among my fellow metalheads I was behind the scenes being interviewed.

“I don’t know how I managed it but I managed to get an interview with the frontman of this year’s Friday Night Headliners Serpent’s Kiss and the current SCW World Heavyweight Caleb Storms!” The interviewer stated before he turned to me, sure enough I had the SCW World Heavyweight Title over my shoulder and my band’s logo t-shirt (that apparently exists in my dream) on, I shrugged off the weirdness as the interviewer continued. “How does it feel to be playing over the Death Metal legends in Obituary who are your Special Guests?”

I pretty much went with the flow from that moment onwards. “It’s a great honour, Obituary are one of my favourite death metal bands of all time and I know they are going to crush it with their set.”

“Well I should hope so, you personally chose their setlist.” The interviewer responded and I nodded in response. “Now there was some controversy over a relatively new band like you headlining over the legends that are Caleb, you need to wake up who were originally slated to headline, what are your Caleb, your not a baby anymore and you can’t have naps whenever you feel like it.”

“Well, it’s a shame that they had to pull out but, wait what?!” I asked but before I knew it I was being pulled out of my dream.

*back in the real world*

When I opened my eyes again, I saw Katie right in front of me with an annoyed look on her face.

“Finally! I could’ve heard you snoring from the next city!” Katie exclaimed as I stirred awake before she shook her head. “As I was saying, I found French restaurant that’s doing takeaway, what do you want? The ribeye or the chicken?”

“I want to be the SCW World Heavyweight Champion and a Bloodstock headliner!” I responded in a dazed tone and Katie gave me a confused look in response. “Err, I mean, I want the ribeye.”

“Good, that means I’m getting the chicken.” Katie nodded before she left the room to place the order, once the order had been placed and paid for, she returned with a curious look on her face. “Don’t tell me, you dreamt of being the SCW World Heavyweight Champion and a Bloodstock Headliner at the same time?”

“Yep.” I nodded in response and Katie shook her head in amusement. “And Obituary were the special guests, with a setlist chosen by me.”

“Please tell me that it was basically “Slowly We Rot in full, with some classic songs and modern ones sprinkled in”?” Katie asked and once I told her that she had woken me up before I could get that far she shook her head. “That tells me that you had better get that second promo about Tommy done.”

“Yeah. Probably.” I nodded in agreement before she walked off.

*promo time*

I ultimately decided to do the promo after our meal but once the meal was eaten, I got straight to work on that promo.

“Well, here we are at the biggest show of the year and a show that one Tommy McMaster has decided to make his debut appearance at! Am I worried about facing a guy whose so much bigger and stronger than me on the biggest night of the SCW Calendar? Nope, why would I be? Tommy McMaster is an unproven commodity and whilst I might be the butt of everyone’s jokes in SCW, I at least have some credibility!”

Which is more than I can say for him.

“I wish I could say more but from what I heard Mr. Wildfire hasn’t had that much of a spark after all because whilst he has made his voice heard, he hasn’t had that much to talk about, in fact you could say that “Wildfire” Tommy McMaster is more like “Lukewarm” Tommy McMaster, in fact that’s what I’m calling Tommy McMaster from now on because this guy has yet to set the world on fire even though his nickname is Wildfire!”

And what a generic nickname it is.

“And honestly, Wildfire is such a generic nickname that Lukewarm might be an upgrade! Who else do you think he’s wrestled in his career? The Machine? The Greatest? The Prototype? Big Bad Casey? The Sensation? Hot Stuff? I could go on, but I won’t, so Lukewarm Tommy McMaster what else do you bring to the table? We won’t know for sure until this Sunday at High Stakes X, but I think I can hazard a guess.”

Spoiler alert!

“In my opinion you won’t bring much to the table aside from being a delusional big man making his SCW debut on the biggest show of the SCW Calendar and I’m sorry to disappoint you Tommy but I think my prediction will end up being right! Your flame will fizzle out before you can even get a wildfire started and this Sunday, for one night only I become a fireman because my job will be to put out this Wildfire!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up!

“Anyone could’ve answered my open challenge and my goal heading into this match would’ve remained the same, you want to know what that goal is? Ending the year with a win! Granted there’s still a whole month left of 2020 but I think I can speak for everyone when I say that I just want to get this year over with already, and Tommy? You had better brace yourself because there’s a storm brewing, otherwise you’ll be blown away by The Rock God of SCW and The Metal Storm Caleb Storms as I put out this wildfire!”

I walked off as the scene fades.
