Dig Your Own Grave

Following Climax Control

Walking out of the arena last week, Miles decided that he was going to hold his head high. He came back from what could have been a career threatening accident, almost losing that beautiful woman that has stuck by his dumbass for quite some time. He was out to prove a point, that he was tougher than he looked. People writing him off as just another pretty fly boy, was annoying enough....O’Malley practically looking right past him, well that “Prick” title was pretty damn fitting.

He was bound and determined to do whatever it took in that match against Augustino, he had a damn good time in that...the most he felt alive in a bit. But the distraction of things got to him. He needed to clear his head. It wasn’t empty as much as his friends claimed it was.

So he threw on his headphones, slung his bag over his shoulder and walked out and looked them all in the eye that dared too. He wasn’t going to allow anyone the satisfaction of knowing he lost.

As he made his way up the hall towards the exit, he spotted Ms. Rocky Mountains standing there. He nodded to her as he was passing by, but before he could slip away she reached out to him. “Miles, rough loss tonight.

But through the pulse beat that rings through his headphones, all she gets back is “Pardon?

This causes her to just laugh and point to the headphones on his head. He smirks and pulls them off, “Sorry bout that Ms. Mountains. You know how it can be when a great song really hits you.

That I do. I was saying that was a bit of a rough loss for you tonight against Augustino. How are you doing after that?

Miles just shakes his head, “Getting that first ‘L’ tonight stung. Just a bit. The fact that I’m still here though, after everything, is proof positive that I will not quit. See, I’m not gonna leave here and hit up twitter to bitch about that loss. He got the best of me tonight and I will admit that but now I have no choice, I need to shift my focus. I have O’Malley watching my every single move and he was waiting for me to slip up. It happened tonight, it won’t happen again.

Rocky nods at this answer, “Well as you know, SCW was quick to announce next week’s Climax Control, and if you hadn’t heard already, you are in the main event.

Milo laughs briefly and pulls his headphones off before dropping his bag onto the floor, because this has become a fullon interview and he’s just accepting it, “I did see that but I’ll let you earn your paycheck and tell those watching at home exactly what I’m in store for next week.

Well it’s a 6 man tag match where it’s champions versus challengers. SCW Champion Alex Jones, Internet Champion Teddy Steele-Warren and the man that you will be challenging at Violent Conduct, Roulette Champion O’Malley as you team up with Alex’s challenger, Jack Washington and Teddy’s challenger Senor Vinnie.

That is a mouthful and a half and the half is just the egos alone in this match. Just on the champions side....and maybe Jack. I’m just calling it like I see it, ya know what I mean love?

I do. It’s just good to see that your match and the confrontation with O’Malley earlier isn’t deterring you at all.

Why would it? It wouldn’t be the first time someone with a need to wear eyeliner tried to motivate me. Or in this case knock me down a peg or two.” Miles smirks to Ms. Mountains for a moment and just shrugs, “O’Malley can have all that swagger in the world, I’m gonna play my cards close to my chest and warn him, from one pirate to another, to once again don’t underestimate me. By hook...or by crook, O’Malley is gonna find himself about 10 pounds lighter very shortly if he doesn’t realize that I am a legit threat to his title.

At this point Miles reaches down for his bag again and throws it back over his shoulder. “As for my temporary partners, they better be carrying their weight in this match. I have one clear goal in mind, and that is showing O’Malley that all these preconceived notions he’s got about me, is just a small tip of the iceberg. I'm more than prepared to get completely nuts when it comes to him and I.

Well we can’t wait to see what you have to bring next week. We’ll see you then and give my best to your girlfriend, I hope she’s healing quickly.

I’ll pass the message. See ya then, love.” And with a nod, Miles throws his headphones back up, he steps away for a moment before he slides back in and grabs her hand and gives it a small kiss before walking away again.

My Hole is Deep Enough

Ok Ms. Wilde, it seems like you are healing up really well. I would suggest trying to use less of the crutches in the next few days, maybe just go down to one. We’re also going to give you this brace and some biofreeze to get it to loosen up. We’ll look into getting you into Physical Therapy very soon, probably by the start of this coming week and get you back to normal.” Miles made a call to a friend to have Nessa looked over by a specialist without having to leave the room. The idea of her even in a car right now didn’t sit well with either of them and he’d do just about anything to protect her after a couple weeks ago. As the trainer finished checking on her leg Miles appeared over her shoulder to look at what he was doing.

That is awesome news.” Nessa smiles.

The trainer turns to Miles with some paperwork, “I would suggest maybe getting her to walk a little more. Within reason, of course. But she’s doing amazing considering what happened. I saw the pictures, I don’t know how this couldn’t have been worse but blessings and all that.

Sounds like a plan, maybe her joining me this week in the gym, using the treadmill a little bit would be a good idea.

Actually not a bad idea at all.” he signs off and hands it to Miles, “As for you, how’s the head feeling?

Top notch, mate. No issues even since the match last week. I have a feeling the whole thing was a fluke and I was just exhausted. I was more worried about her anyways.

Well you got my number, if you have ANY symptoms...

I will call you.” Miles turns around and glares at the lovely brunette smiling back at him. “Don’t give me that look, cause after I call him, I’ll call Mack and Levi and there ain’t thing one you can do about it.

Miles just shakes his head, “Brat.

Thanks Ness, alright. I’m officially out of here. I’ll be seeing you next week.” he says as he finishes grabbing up the rest of his items and makes his way out.

See ya Trev, thanks for everything. And thank Levi for me too.

Will do!

And with that the door closes and Nessa looks at Miles, and there is a noticeable awkwardness in the room, “So...

So. At least we got some good news from everything. Felt like we were owed one after the past couple of weeks.

Yeah, and having a new car too helps. I would like to get out of here a bit. Maybe join you at SCW this week. I’ve been feeling cooped up, Milo.

Miles just stands there, “I know, and that can happen. I just wanna make sure you can handle it.

After that? I feel like I can handle anything. Including that wandering question you have for me that you never asked me after the hospital.” Ness just glares at him, “Come on Milo, you’ve been back and forth on this all week and it feels like you really want to ask me something important but are holding back. Why?

She’s calling you out, idiot. Man up...

Miles just sighs and steps towards her and holds her hand, “I know I have and I’m sorry. I just got a bit...freaked out by it after it was done. I shouldn’t have done that to you and you deserve better from me. You deserve a better man than me too.

Milo.” Nessa says like ‘Dude, really?’.

I’m serious Ness, we’ve had a crazy set of months. You saved me from the side of the road when that piece of shit car of mine broke down. My history with Bella and Malachi that may never be settled but I’ve come to peace with. You picking up and moving out here to the desert, just on an ask. I’ve never promised you much but I need to make sure I am the man you deserve before I am able to ask the most of you.

Miles Kasey, I came out here because I wanted to be with you. I decided that this, whatever it is between us is worth it and I don’t give a shit about your past. What I do care about is your future and I plan on being a part of this wild ride with you as long as you let me.

He can’t help but smile and give her a sweet kiss, “Oh, I plan on you sticking around forever, if I got any say in it. Give me to that match against O’Malley at Violent Conduct and I promise ya, it’ll be worth it.

Nessa sighs, “Ok, but no matter winning or losing, I get my question. Deal?” she sticks out her hand with a broad smile.

Deal.” Miles shakes her hand and pulls her in and up onto his shoulder.

Hey!

He grabs her one crutch and walks out of the room with her, “You heard Trav. You need to get some walking time in!

Put me down MILO!

6 Feet Deep and No Way Out

Alex, Teddy and O’Malley versus Jack, Vinnie and Miles....a 6 man match for the ages. And you know there are going to be problems.

Miles stands next to the window looking down at the street of Vegas, not as full as it once was but still the people are coming back.

Seems like they are just asking for problems this Sunday with all of us in that ring but I’ll be damned if it won’t be the time of my life. This whole thing has the perfect ingredients for something explosive and amazing and just before Violent Conduct???? Oh you know shit is going to go down. I’m dead serious as to what I said to Rocky last week. As long as Jack and Vinnie hold up their end of the bargain I too will be there every step of the way. Putting a damper on the champions advantage going into that big event....oh I would revel in that and getting to O’Malley would be that much sweeter. Don’t worry Guyliner, you are just a third of my problem this week as we’re looking at Teddy and Alex. What’s funny is I’m standing here thinking to myself, which team is going to have the most issues? I’ll bet a quid that it won’t be my side of the ring. Alex has been swaggering around here for WEEKS since he defeated Griffin Hawkins to become the Heavyweight Champ and Teddy...well...I don’t know. I have nothing bad to say about him since he straightened his bullshit out.

Miles just shrugs, “I mean...I really don’t because my focus is locked now. I didn’t know how this was going to go until last week and O’Malley comes up and has the set to tell me that he doesn’t think that I am ready for a championship. I may be the new kid on the block in SCW but to say that to me...well it just motivated me enough to show everyone up. Come Climax Control, I’m gonna show some serious shit in that ring. And O’Malley will get a wake up call of a LIFETIME.

Bet. On. That!
