Laying the Cards on the Table
The old adage of ‘what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’ couldn’t ring more true as SCW booked a dream match between Nox and Tommy Crimson last show with Nox losing that match. It seems to be a small trend as the better guys just seem to get the better of him. Does that mean he will give up? Does it mean he will crumble? He’s never one been one to call it quits unless there’s just no means to an end. While he has lost, he has a chance to redeem himself. The scene opens up with Nox in regular street clothes as he is at a casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. His chin resting in his left hand while he eyes his other two opponents who deeply in his mind are the two men to beat him thus far since returning to SCW, Fenris & Tommy. He eyes their hands as their shaking. Though these men aren’t really Tommy or Fenris. He’s just going to view them as such for this game of cards, Poker if you will. Holli is with him in her red dress, man does she look fine.
The man in black from head to toe with sunglasses…plays his hand revealing an Ace of Diamonds, Ace of Spades, Queen of Spades, Two of Diamonds, Eight of Spades.
Nox nods to man acknowledging the man’s skill as he quickly turns to his left to see a man dressed in Crimson. Nox chuckles as the man in Crimson speaks.
“Care to make this next hand interesting?”
Nox keeping his expression neutral nods.
The Man in Crimson:
“IF I win with this hand, I get her for the night.”
Holli’s jaw drops as you can see pure fury in her eyes as if she’s ready to tear him apart. Nox puts his hand on her shoulder and smiles.
Nox: “Babe I got this.”
He turns back to the man as he nods as the man lays down his hand. You can see Holli have a bead of sweat start to drip from her forehead.
The man’s hand was two queen of hearts, eight of spades, eight of hearts and a three of spades.
“So what’s you got there boy? Anything worth showing?”
The man chuckles as he waits for Nox to make a move, Nox just smiles and with a careful grin he says
“What indeed…”
Nox reveals his hand in being a three of a kind representing the Jack of Spades, Jack of Hearts, Jack of Diamonds, Five of Spades, Two of Hearts. Holli smiles as the man’s jaw drops
“I see. I apologize…so what do you wish to win in this ante up of sorts.”
Politely taking her leave, Holli gives Nox a kiss on the cheek. Nox gets up from his chair comes over to the man. They meet eye to eye.
“Well I…”
The man turns to leave when Nox turns him around and superkicks him directly in the teeth busting out two of his teeth. Chuckling, Nox leaves to head to go collect his prize money. After that he heads to find his woman as he heads to the elevator. He finds her at the elevator as she seems to be watching a video on her phone. Nox peaks over her shoulder seeing it’s headlined the main event Jon Dough takes on Equinox for the SCW Roulette Title.
“It appears the tables have turned for yours truly.”
Holli peaks up from her phone and smiles as Nox wraps her in his arms. Holli smiles slightly
“Can’t complain because I am truly happy for you love. Still got that bad feeling, though about this match.”
Holli waits him to obviously respond
“Is it because my match though it may be for the title may be any match they can whip up? Or because I could lose to Jon?”
Holli shrugs as Nox squeezes her tightly
“No… I have a plan for that, I promise love. Remember last time I held that it took three men to beat me. Though that happened SCW is in a new light and I promise you that I will overcome.”
Nox smiles his grandly smile trying to make her feel better. She sticks her tongue out at him as he smiles.
“Holli, babe look I know you are worried with all these matches I have had. But it’s not just for me or the kids. It’s for you and our little family combined. I enjoy performing for the world. But even more so if it means I can leave behind a bunch of good memories. You know I can beat him.”
She nods as he continues to talks
“It’s us versus the world, and I don’t like the world’s chances because I promised you I’d go to every company I wanted to make a difference in and become champion before this year is up. SCW has just given me a platform to accomplish this. Only this time it’s not going be me losing the title because a douchebag turncoat turns on me. What’s certain is Jon and I have never fought before. I intend to make him and the world to take notice.”
“I love it when you talk like that babe, all confident and stuff. It’s how my man should be.
Scene closes as the elevator opens up and the couple get in to go rest and other things of that nature.
Realizing what’s to come
The morning after finds Nox is dressed a bit more casual in a white dress shirt and casual dress pants, staring out in his hotel room over the sea of cars and tiny people. He wastes neither time nor words, the camcorder is directed right at him as he starts addressing his opponent the man they call Jon Dough...
“Last time I was on a SCW show I faced off in losing effort against Tommy Crimson, we had a great match but alas I lost. But it’s a new week and a new show and wouldn’t you know it there’s a main event star packed if you will. Jon Dough who beat Caleb Storms for the Roulette Title after losing it to him is now a two time champion…congrats Jon. You made a bold claim you would be champion again and well here you are champion again. As for myself I use to be a champion in that very same division you are champion of. I had so much fun being the Roulette Champion because I always knew no matter who my opponent was I’d be in for a fight. Up until Kris Ryan, me and Goth held the tie for the longest reign in that title’s history.”
He closes his eyes and reflects upon winning the title in that three way with Jericho and former champion Kain
“I remember holding that championship like it was yesterday. Due to my departure for a few years I saw people hold that belt and some toss it around like it was candy. I’m sure if you asked former champions they’d agree and have the same mindset. This time will be different I assure you as I am going to address the entire roster. You guys can throw everything at me, throw even the devil himself at me and I will still stand above the flames. I am here for the long haul. I refuse to compromise the truth to spare someone else’s feelings from getting hurt because this time I have goals. IT starts with a title I helped make famous. That championship I have longed to hold since losing it, because losing it left a sour taste in my mouth to say the least. It did however take two people and my own tag partner to beat me for it. And anyone looking to take it from me risks destruction, plain and simple. Because if you didn’t know I am going to tell you now, spoilers alert I will stop at nothing to reclaim what I want in this main event.”
Nox takes a short breath, he glad he got that off his chest
“Now… what I’m about to say, Jon Dough? I’ve never faced him before and like me he’s simply a riddle. A riddle some might have trouble cracking but I crack it.”
Nox returns his blank stare to the camera. It is not quite a glare, but there is something cold in his eyes as if this time around would be different
“You won’t be leaving Sin City Wrestling with the Roulette Championship, Jon I will tell you this now. Whether you like that or not isn’t up to them because I am coming to reclaim what I aim to seek. This isn’t a feud or some sort of heat between us because Jon I’ve seen your matches and the way you cut promos, I respect your style. I’ve seen your work and there’s a ton of fight packed into that heart of yours. You have proven yourself over the years to SCW. That impresses me without question and due to twat’s like Calvin Harris that’s not something anyone can easily do. But I will tell you now. I can outwrestle you. I can outfly you. I can even outpace you. It will take everything you have to beat me.”
Nox strokes his chin thoughtfully… then laughs a little with a shrug.
“You’re going to wear yourself out trying to keep up with me. The entire time you do that I am going to study you and learn what you are about. For the roulette championship, anything can and will happen. For your sake, pray that I’m not feeling creative because I love getting creative. Don’t believe me watch the matches I have competed in thus far in my career.”
Nox chuckles
“Thing is? It doesn’t stop there with being creative. I love to risk it all and become bloody again. I don’t know what it is for me about risking my career for the sake of a good show. Maybe it’s the adrenaline. Maybe it’s a deathwish. Maybe I just enjoy knowing that I may never get up from what I am about to do. I told you guys before it’s been Nox vs the Word in 2018 and so far it’s lived up to this point.”
He smirks
“That’s just the way I like it.”
He chuckles before continuing
“There is no element of surprise coming from you as far as I am concerned. Jon you are a tremendous competitor rest assured but simply put. You are in my way of my goals here in SCW and in the world of professional wrestling. Word of advice, don’t underestimate me. Don’t delude yourselves into thinking that I won’t be prepared because I will be. Chances are you will get the upper hand in this match at first but that will come back to bite you. IF by some luck you beat me in Dollywood congrats. I’ll just get back up and try again if that so happens.”
Nox pauses
“Just as I’ll fight for it as I would fight for my life, you had better be prepared to offer the same in this fight. If that means I have to risk my life, I’ll risk it all again and again. There is nothing I won’t do.”
It gets to the point where he actually laughs somewhat maniacally. Once that dies down, he clears his throat and runs a hand through his hair, smoothing it out a bit. Those eyes still twinkle with amusement, though.
“You don’t get to look surprised when I win and I gave you fair warning and you sure as hell don’t get to call me on fighting like it was my last breath. You were warned when I told you how serious I am about making that title worth something.”
The camera follows as Nox turns around, staring into the camera for a moment
“How much are you willing to risk to stay the SCW Roulette champion? I will keep saying until I can no longer breath. I am willing to do everything to win that championship at all costs. I’m that monster you see in your sleep. Because in truth against me you have no chance. You’ll lose blood, mobility… perhaps even years off your career. Not because I’m an evil, violent, vindictive bastard, but because I’m a fierce, prideful, determined bastard tonight in Dollywood. There’s a difference, I assure you.”
Holding the belt up one last time, Nox peers over the shades at the camera.
“Make your choice. I’ve already made mine. Get in my way at SCW and what do you think will happen?
He chuckles
“You will be defeated, welcome to wayward dreams.”
