Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon thee

*NOTE: No longer giving feedback, if you wasn't good enough, you wouldn't be here.

MIXED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

RP Title: “Bosses can’t make their mind up, what a surprise!”

To say that Jessie’s had a controversial few weeks since her team was eliminated from the Blast from the Past Tournament is quite the understatement, from her making racist comments about Parand Ara’s country of origin to flat out insulting the bosses to the point were they barred he and her Blast from the Past partner Joshua Acquin (who was one of the few to side with her in this time) from getting any title shots for the foreseeable future it seems that Jessie is out to burn every bridge she’s built since joining SCW if it gets her noticed.

This came to ahead on the go-home episode of Climax Control, after viciously attacking Parand Ara earlier in the night in retaliation for Parand’s attack the previous week Jessie and Joshua took to the ring to say that, because they hadn’t seen any other teams stepping up to the plate, they felt that the bosses should just hand them the Mixed Tag Titles, however another team did step up, Wyatt Peterson and Amy Marshall who made their intention clear when Amy laid out Jessie with the Bad Girl seemingly flushing their friendship down the toilet in the process.

In response to this the bosses reneged on their declaration that Jessie and Josh wouldn’t get another title shot by putting them in the Fatal Four Way Elimination Tag Match to crown the first ever Mixed Tag Team Champions, their opponents? Former Tag Team Champions London Underground, Amy and Wyatt and Maxim and Claudia Seraphina, Jessie wasted no time in saying that she and Josh were not only going to make the bosses eat their words but provide the salt, but can they prove the bosses wrong?

Sensitivity Training, Las Vegas, Nevada
Friday the 18th of May 2018, 11L00am

Yeah, you read that right and no, this bullshit wasn’t my idea!

After everything that’s happened these past few weeks (and ultimately culminating in Amy’s betrayal Jake gave me an ultimatum, start going to sensitivity training or he’s going to erase every Pokémon save file I have and sell every Pokémon game I own alongside the CD collection on eBay, that might not sound like a big deal but keep in mind, I’ve been playing Pokémon since Red and Blue came out and I still have my original cartridges.

And yeah, I did do the MissingNo glitch, granted I didn’t do it until after I kicked Blue’s ass because it was either that or be stuck in an endless loop of challenging the Elite 4 but still!

But back to my main point, because I’m still not backing down from the comments I made that started this whole mess a few weeks ago I’m stuck here listening to some pretentious idiot rattle on and one about being sensitive to other cultures, sexes and sexual orientations (like I need to hear the last part being a bi-sexual woman and all) rather than train for my match against London Underground, Maxim and Claudia and Wyatt and Amy.

And yes, I do have a lot to say about Amy!

“And that concludes todays session.” The prick said as he checked the time on the iPhone and I got up to leave with the others, needless to say I was looking really out of place as I was the only woman in a room filled with big muscular guys who were likely here due to sexual harassment in the workplace, still if I didn’t know any better I could’ve sworn that I was in one of Amy’s pornos and about to get gang banged. “Same time next week, Jessie I know you’ve got a big match next week so good luck with that!”

“I have a big match tomorrow as well for Honor Wrestling and no one’s wishing me luck with that.” I muttered under my breath as I let myself out of the room, mostly because none of the men offered to hold the door open for me which confirmed my thoughts on why they were here, once all the guys had left it didn’t take me long to spot Jake and Shane waiting for me in the hallway. “How long do I have to put up with this shit?!” I asked as I walked up to them.

“Another four weeks of it I’m afraid.” Jake responded, and I ran a hand down my face. “Look, I know you’re the only woman in that group, but this was the most reasonably priced course I could find in the Vegas area!”

“And you didn’t think to check the area around where we live in California?” I asked as I rolled my eyes and Jake frowned realizing that I had a point. “Besides, you know that that’s not my real complaint about putting up with that bullshit!”

“And again, its not our fault that you insulted Parand Ara’s home country and got the crap beat out of you for it.” Shane pointed out once he realized what I meant, and I glared at him. “Sill surprised they didn’t put you and Parand in a match at Into the Void, thought it was going to be a lock!”

“So, did I, until Amy decided that a fad was more valuable than our friendship.” I responded as I rolled my eyes and the boys frowned. “Besides, I’m still not done with Parand for that unprovoked attack and I’ll find a way of dealing with her at Into the Void!”

“Again, with the “unprovoked attack” stuff? I know the bosses don’t watch Honor Wrestling and as a result missed you saying that for your promo against The Ruin Sisters but as soon as they hear that then they are going to blow off their gaskets!” Jake responded as he shook his head and I grinned knowing that pissing off the idiots in the front office was a new hobby of mine. “Hell, at the rate you’re going I wouldn’t be surprised if they flat out fired you!”

“For what? Speaking my mind? I’m sure a good lawyer would sort out that bullshit in an instant!” I responded with a grin and Jake shook his head. “Anyway, I’ve got a promo to do, want to wait in the car for me?”

“Just give us a text once your done.” Shane responded before they started to walk off. “And don’t start any more international incidents!” Shane added, and I rolled my eyes before waiting until I was sure that they were out of earshot before I started on my promo.

“What a difference a month makes huh? One month ago, SCW fans were welcoming me with open arms and now one month later I hurt someone’s feelings and suddenly I’m the Anti-Christ crossed with Hitler!” I commented as I shook my head before leaning against the wall. “But the bosses, in their infinite wisdom, decided “screw the title shot ban, we need another team for the Mixed Tag Team Title Match” featuring London Underground, the Seraphinas, and the guys I’m starting with, Amy and Wyatt, why do I say that? Because they added us to the match!”

A decision they’ll regret!

“What the actual fuck Amy?! I was one of your closest friends in SCW and you flushed in down the drain and for what? A passing fad that everyone will forget about in a month? Because that’s basically what #BenDeservesBetter is, sure he has those ugly as sin shirts but once people realize that I was right all along Ben will just be another forgotten legend and yet there you were, ready and willing to flush our friendship down the toilet! I don’t know what Wyatt’s stake in all this is beyond the Mixed Tag Team Titles, but your attack last Sunday made this personal and I’m going to make you pay for it!”

Next up is the Seraphinas.

“At least my allies in the Angel Clan haven’t turned their backs on me, as far as I know anyway, but maybe they will after I’m done talking about the latest Angel Clan members to come out of the woodwork Maxim and Claudia, Lucy’s children! Look, I stopped trying to figure out the logic of the weird shit that goes on with The Angel Clan long ago but if we get to the point where Melanie and Lucy are in their forties and pull their past selves into the future then I think we’re going to have to start asking questions before they create a time paradox! Not before I kick their children’s asses in this match that us!”

Finally, London Underground!

“Bet you didn’t think that I was saving the former champs for last, well your wrong because I had more to say about Amy and the Seraphinas! Anyway, whilst it is true that London Underground had a dominant run with both the men’s and Bombshell Tag Titles, this was happening whilst SCW was dying but before they made a miraculous recovery and if that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about London Underground then I don’t know what will but against actual competition? Don’t expect them to last long!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up but not before sending Shane the text.

“Bosses can’t make their mind up, what a surprise! And you know what an even bigger surprise will be? Seeing the bosses eat their words whilst me and Josh provide the salt and whatever other spices they like! In two weeks’ time there will be new Mixed Tag Team Champions, most will say that that’s the only guarantee in this match but their wrong, the other guarantee? Me and Josh are winning those titles and I’m going to make Amy regret betraying me for a fad! This is the “Heavy Metal Angel” Jessie Salco signing off, Maxim, Claudia, London Underground, get ready for a fight, Amy, Wyatt, well mostly Amy, get ready for an ass kicking!”

I walked off down the hall as the scene fades.

MIXED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
One day you're the cock of the walk, the next your a feather duster. An unpopular, yet popular Brit has that in his Twitter profile, but never have me, Os and the girls knew exactly what that meant. We were not the feather duster when SCW reopened and we returned, we were the cock of the walk for a little while on Climax Control 201, the biggest return since Jesus got a bit tired of being dead. Then we heard those words from Christian Underwood, words that made us in to that proverbial feather duster

"see those titles you have on that table, they're now inactive, obsolete, no longer needed"

Fly all the way across the word to hear those words... Charming, cheers for the heads up. Then it changed right there and then, we were about as good as every other title less person around, yet we had the gold, both sets of gold, but no one found it a good idea to just let us continue with these new mixed tag titles. We busted our bollocks to try and lift the tag division, now we're the only ones left standing in it. It was no surprise other teams have sprung up lately, no surprise at all that one of the names happens to be a gold hungry whore like Jessie Salco, or must win a title to be justified as a grandslam champ, by the name of Amy Santino, or even Mr please give me another shot at the roulette title Acquin, not surprised at all but at that moment, we didn't know what the hell we was gonna do, then Gabriel appeared like the magician he has and told us a little about it.

We took our leave from SCW then to become a fluid team no matter what the combination, we've been in the gym for the best part of time in between Climax Control 201 and today.

In fact, I'm recording this in the gym right now while you're sitting there looking at your blank screen. Let's get rid of the black shall we?

GYM STORIES

The scene starts with the face of Daniel J Morgan sitting in the ring, with his back to the ropes, sweat falling from his forehead. He looks at the camera and gives a casual nod before looking around the ring. Osbourne stands with his back to the corner of the ring, his muscles pushed firmly against the turnbuckles, while Charlotte Elliot and Mackenzie Page sit in the center of the ring. To the far side, Gabriel sits on the turnbuckle, perched on the top rope, while Despayre lays on the flat of his back to the side of the ring, Angel sitting next to him as he tosses skittles in the air, with his mouth open. The skittle comes down, just to hit him on the forehead.

"Drat!" Despayre says, clinching up his first. "0 for seven right now."

It might seem a calming scene but this morning has been anything but. For hours London Underground had been in the ring, working on combinations of teams, something they've done none stop for weeks, and now was break time. Despayre simply took the opportunity to lay in the ring, oddly one of his favourite things to do - who knows how his mind works?

"You guys have worked hard today." Gabriel tells his group from his perch.

"Thanks" Despayre chimes in. "Who knew throwing skittles in the air could be so tiring."

Gabriel lowers his eyebrows as he looks down at Despayre.

"Not you Despy." Gabriel tells him.

"Oh" The disappointed Despayre quickly says.

"Cheers" Daniel replies as he wipes the sweat off his forehead with the back on his hand. "Taken a lot of sweat to get where we are today."

"Just think." Gabriel says jumping down from his seated position. "Just a few weeks ago, you lot didn't know what the freebird rule was."

Despayre sits up, looking towards them, his head bopping around from one member to the next, his mouth wide open.

"You didn't?" Despayre says surprised. "Even I knew them."

Despayre looks towards Angel.

"What do ya mean I don't know them?" He asked the stuffed bear before listening. "Oh, that's what that is?"

"Well, we didn't know either" Daniel tells Despayre. "Not a clue until he told us..."

Climax Control 201, like I said, we felt like proper mugs, flying all the way across the world, only to be told our titles were no longer worth the leather. They coulda left us at home, gave us a call, told us about the plans and we coulda came back at a later date, but nah, all the one across that big puddle sweet FA. We're pretty lucky though, we had good support on our side. Things were said off camera that you didn't see, well you're about to...

"Let me tell you a little story about the freebird rule...." Gabriel says as he leans in close.

The four looked up from the poker table they were seated at in their dressing room on Climax Control 201, still trying to process the words Christian had left them with.

"Never heard of it." Mackenzie barks. "Don't fucking care either. He just basically robbed us of our titles."

"And brought us all the way here to boost ratings." Charlotte adds. "It's a joke."

Gabriel looks around the group, he knew he trained people who were not wrestling historians, he knew that none of these guys around him had watched wrestling from a young age, or dreamed of headlining big shows when they was five years old. Although Odette had tried her best to educate every member of the group, the freebird rule was never discussed. Why would it be? Mixed tag divisions are not normal in many companies, and SCW were without a doubt trying something new, something different.

"Give the man a chance to talk." Daniel says to his loyal group.

Daniel puts out a hand, inviting Gabriel to sit at the table. Quickly grabbing a chair and spinning it around to sit on it the wrong way, he joins the group, his elbows resting on the top of the chair.

"To be clear, not one have you have heard of this rule?" He asks the group.

Gabriel casts his eye around the group, only to be met with four shaking heads.

"Not one of ya?" He asks again.

Again, he's met with shaking heads.

"Alright." He says putting his hands together and cracking his knuckles. "In the eighties and nineties, there was a team called The Fabulous Freebirds, three guys going for the Tag Titles where ever they went. Any two members out of the three could compete for and defend titles. They were just booked by their team name and pretty much any two out of the three could be involved."

"There's four of us." Mackenzie says. "Not three."

"Numbers are irrelevant." Gabriel says, looking at Mackenzie. "Basically, we use one of the men, one of you ladies, you capture the gold, the others can defend it."

"I ain't teaming with that lump." Mackenzie says, staring directly at Osbourne.

Osbourne looks towards the woman, gritting his teeth but the fearless woman looks back.

"I see advantages to this." Charlotte says. "Is there anything in this rule to declare who's facing the opponents at any time?"

"Good question, but no." Gabriel says "No one has to know until the bell rings."

"This might be a good thing." Daniel says tapping his chin. "We get the advantage and we can basically pick our team, based on who our opponents are, give us a better chance of winning."

"And we'll all be champions, if we win the belts?" Charlotte asks as she turns towards Gabriel.

"Win as a group, lose as a group." Gabriel explains. "The fact is, this will draw the focus off a member or two, no one knows which one of you two are gonna show up in that ring, no one knows which one of you will happen to be in the ring in any given match."

Daniel turns towards Gabriel, looking at him seriously.

"And you think the suited and booted, dynamic duo will go for this?" Daniel asks Gabriel seriously.

"You're all under contract or you wouldn't be here." Gabriel tells him, returning his look. "There's not many teams here so they'll need something for you to do or they're paying you for nothing."

"I don't mind them lining my pocket for fuck all, after they took our titles away from us." Mackenzie says, running her hand over her Bombshell Tag Team championship. "Still ain't teaming with him though."

Again, she stares towards the silent Osbourne.

"To use this rule to full advantage." Gabriel tells them "We need to pick our team based on who your opponents are. If teaming with the big man helps win or keep titles, gotta be done."

"Fine!" Mackenzie concedes.

"Take it for the team Kenz." Daniel says with a smile.

"Only because there's a chance we could make history." Mackenzie says turning away from Osbourne. "Only because there's a lot of women who came back that I wanna smack so hard, I'll be making their mothers wish they swallowed that night."

"You certainly have a way with words." Daniel says with a smile crossing his lips. "Not always a good way, but a way none the less."

"There's a flaw here." The ever thinking Charlotte gets ready to point out. "None of us have ever teamed before outside our teams, I've only ever teamed with Kenz, and Os and Danny have only teamed with each other. We haven't even teamed with each other in training before."

Gabriel knew she was right, the four had trained in single matches, they've trained in their respective teams, but not once was there a need to do a mixed tag training session. Blast From The Past tournament seemed unlikely for them, no one expected there would be another, no one expected an SCW return. It wasn't worth the time to train them in mixed tag matches with Blast From The Past so far away when the four looked likely to make SCW debuts.

"That's nothing we can't sort out." Daniel says looking around the table. "No one at this table thought we could have been wrestlers a year ago, but here we are sitting backstage at a show with these lovely things in front of us."

Daniel points around to the title belts around them.

"No one thought we'd be able to do it, but our arses are here." Daniel says to them. "We got here and we beat everyone and their bloody dog, we put hours of work in to the gym, and let's be up front here, we're bloody good considering we ain't done this shit as long as most have. All we gotta do is get back in the gym and make this work. We ain't ever met a challenge we ain't beaten, this ain't no different."

A smile makes it way on to Gabriel's face as he looks at the group.

"That's the talk I like to hear." Gabriel says with a smile "Championship talk right there."

"This just means that we gotta hit the gym every day to actually get this shit done." Daniel tells the group, before looking towards Gabriel. "Any chance you're free? I know O can't get in the ring cause well, you know, but I think we'll take all the help we can get."

"Of course." Gabriel tells him "I'll be about for your training part of the day, pretty sure O will educate you a little more on this rule and be there to consult you when it comes to picking your strongest duo depending on your opponents. Don't worry about these titles, take 'em home with ya, do what ya want with them, because I sense more championship gold will be coming your way shortly anyway."

Back in the gym, Daniel smiles around the group.

"He's not wrong when you look at who's in this match." Daniel says confidently.

He looks across the ring to see Despayre sitting up, crossed legged with a bucket of popcorn in between his leg.

"The bloody hell you get that from?" Daniel asks.

"Popcorn guy." Despayre says as he puts his hand in the bucket.

"You have a popcorn guy?" Charlotte asks as she looks towards Gabriel.

Gabriel just shakes his head slowly as he looks at the confused woman.

"Best not to ask." Gabriel tells her.

Daniel leans back on the ropes.

"As I was saying, looking at this match, this is gonna be a piece of piss." he says with half a smile. "It's opportunists who ain't that good so they need a partner because that's the only way they can get some gold. I mean seriously, just take Joshua Acquin."

Daniel slowly shakes his head.

"The guy comes out most weeks wanting a Roulette title shot." He starts "What's he done to actually earn it? Bugger all, just nothing at all. Just asks cause he's friends with the boss and usually gets it. Bloke isn't worth a bloody thing, but just because he sneaks a little closer to someone else, he gets a shot at this. It's not a secret that anyone who wanted to be in this match got a free pass to be in it. It's not a shock at all that this is why he's jumped in to this one. Can anyone even take him seriously though."

"He works well under pressure." Gabriel says to Daniel "Most of his wins have been when he was the heavy underdog."

Daniel wrinkles his nose upwards as he looks up at the standing Gabriel.

"Cuts no ice with me." Daniel says. "I was watching from the back the other day, listening to him speak and it was like nails on a chalkboard. Two weeks ago, the idiot justified Jessie Salco slating a whole country, defended her for insulting a friend and basically ripping off his idea, he defended her for being a con artist. Nah mate, idiot is not right in the head if he thinks he can justify that bullshit. Thinking she deserves a shot, bloody hell, the woman has a worse record then he does and the guy is dreadful and then thinks he should be handed the Mixed tag titles?"

Daniel puts his hands out in front of him as a way of showing disbelief.

"Is he out of his tiny little box?" Daniel says tapping his head and looking around the group. "Say the big chinned partner of his is deserving of a shot, then demands the belts? What does that make him?"

Despayre runs his finger around the side of his head.

"Cuckoo" Despayre says in a high pitched tone.

"Exactly my strange haired friend." Daniel says, pointing at Despayre. "Was so glad when Christian came out and shut that monkey spanker up. Shame he never last week too, no competition for them in this division. Was so happy when John Wayne and Jenna Jameson popped out to shut them up."

"Who?" Despayre whispers to Angel.

Despayre's eyes widen as he listens to his furry bestie.

"And how would you know who she is, huh Mister?" Despayre says questioning the bear.

"Sounds like you almost like the cowboy." Mackenzie says with a smirk.

"Gotta be joking." Daniel says looking at her. "Was never a fan of westerns or cowboys to be honest with ya. I mean the cowboy spiel is so over. Got it, you're a redneck, you ride a horse, you have big boots and ya wear silly hats. This bloke ain't no different. I sat and watched his Blast From The Past stuff and had to wonder where the hell SCW was digging these people up from. I mean surely, just surely you can pull back some proper talent instead of a bloke who once held a tag title for two months, over six years ago. All these top stars and legends in their history and bring back cowboy Joe there and think it's a big deal. He's signed on to stay here for one reason only, and we all know it. He's here to try and take the gold."

Daniel shrugs his shoulders.

"Soon as we put an end to that, we know him and Amy are gonna piss off out of SCW and back to the ranch or casting couch." Daniel says seriously as he looks around the group. "We know they're here for the gold and nothing more but they ain't gonna come anywhere near it. They're here to make up the numbers. Roster looked a little short, signed those two up, waving a golden carrot in front of their much, got Wyatt all steamed up and raring to go, reminding him of how he felt during his mighty two month reign as a champion in SCW, making him feel like a big time Charlie, knowing full well that he don't really stand a chance against us, don't matter who his partner is, rootin' tootin' over there just makes up the numbers."

"Gee..." Despayre says as he looks at Daniel "You sure got a lot of nicknames for one man."

"Well one nickname he won't have, will be champ." Daniel says with a slight smug tone. "He ain't really good enough, he had the stars knocked out of his eyes when he went out of the Blast From The Past, it ain't getting much better for him, you can trust me on that. Money him being the one, one of us pins."

"Fuck that!" Mackenzie says. "One of us are pinning Salco."

"Swear jar." Despayre pipes up

"I left my money at the poker table." Mackenzie says looking at Despayre.

"I can wait till you go to an ATM." Despayre tells her with a cheery tone.

"You're talking about people you know of." Gabriel says "But you're missing the wildcard of the match."

Daniel look up at Gabriel slightly confused.

"Maxim whatever his face is?" Daniel says with the tone of confusion.

"That would be him." Gabriel replies.

Daniel rolls his eyes as he looks up.

"Well if he's anything like his family, we'll be lucky to hear from him this week." Daniel says sarcastically. "Seriously, what's their deal? I've watched a few Seraphina promos and I can't work them out, can't tell head nor arse with them. I mean what are they? Are they magicians? Are they mystical creatures? What the heck is magi-blood? Is it something they've just made up because they think it sounds cool? And why the bloody hell are there so many pointless people there in them? Honest to god these lot make no sense to me at all. Seriously, anyone have a clue?"

"He's meant to be an assassin of some kind, from Russia." The always informed Charlotte tells Daniel.

"Bloody hell." Daniel says with a disappointed shake of his head. "That long streak of piss needs to put down the Playstation controller once in a while and pop outside for some fresh air. I know it gets a bit parky over there in Russia but geezers a bit deluded if he thinks he's this assassin and using the word magi-blood. Sounds like he needs to stop playing Assassin's Creed, stop playing World of Warcraft, certainly knock that Dragon Age game on the nut because he's starting to think he's something he's not."

Daniel looks at Gabriel, smiling at the Englishman's words.

"This is your wildcard?" Daniel asks Gabriel.

"You've never seen him fight." Gabriel replies.

"Probably got too many blisters on his hand from various controllers." Daniel says with a sharp exhale.

"Amongst other things." Mackenzie adds, balling her hand and shaking it up and down in what can only be described and a sign to indicate a wanker.

"What's that mean?" Despayre asks.

"You don't wanna know." Charlotte tells him.

"Either way." Daniel starts. "I ain't worried about him, or his voodoo, or whatever wanky magic he wants to do. End of the day, no matter what goes through his loaf, he's just a geezer at the end of the day, and like every other person on this planet, if they bleed, they can be beaten and this guy, he ain't a worry at all, he bleeds, he loses, just like everyone else."

"That's one way of looking at it." Charlotte says with a smile.

"It's the only way to look at it." Daniel rebuffs "We didn't come all the way back over here to lose to some magic bloke.... No offence."

Daniel raises his hands towards Gabriel, knowing full well of his mentors past with magic and illusions.

"None taken." Gabriel says with a nod.

"Nor did we come over here to lose to a cowboy, who's claim to fame was six long years ago." Daniel continues. "And there's certainly no intention to lose to a guy who bites the hand that feeds him and defends, well, quiet frankly, a racist with obvious mental issues and the overwhelming urge to be noticed. I think maybe that's why Acquin relates to her. He has the same problem about wanting to be noticed, when no one really gives a toss about him. He wants everyone to take notice of him, when in fairness, he's probably the worst person on the roster."

"Salco is the worst person on the roster." Mackenzie says cutting in.

"Ok." Daniel says raising his hand. "Acquin is the worst male on the roster, so maybe that's why they relate so well. I mean you can't believe he actually agrees with her about her comments, can you? If he does, they need to check the guy for a concussion."

"He just wants to bang Salco." Mackenzie comments. "God knows why, she has a face like a horse."

"No accounting for taste, is there?" Charlotte says with a smile.

"None at all." Daniel agrees "But anyway you look at it, there's gonna be a lot of teams with seriously high hopes going in to Into The Void VII, and all believing that they're gonna walk away with the gold but none of them stand a chance against us. Joshua Acquin, Wyatt Peterson, Maxim Seraphina, those three couldn't beat me and Os in a handicap match."

Osbourne nods in agreement.

"They sure as hell ain't walking out with the gold we shoulda been given already" Daniel says firmly.

"If we had the gold now, that Salco loser would have already challenged us for it." Mackenzie says truthfully.

"On every damn show, with or without a partner." Charlotte adds. "I am so looking forward to shutting her up."

"I'm just gonna break her teeth." Mackenzie adds. "Seriously shatter those teeth, just to shut her up."

"I'm not worried about anyone in that match." Daniel comments. "I mean Acquin was stupid enough to ask the staff on Twitter if there was gonna be five teams in it, even though he knew we were a freebird team.... And he's the smart one out of the three."

"Kinda guy who would put a bet on the world to end and hope to get paid out when it does?" Charlotte asks.

"Exactly that kinda guy." Daniel says with a smile. "He's the brains of the three and he asks something stupid like that."

"Well you worry about your side." Charlotte says. "And we'll worry about the three women one of us gets to beat up."

"If it's me, I just wanna stop that Salco fool." Mackenzie says gritting her teeth. "Like really hurt her."

"Sounds like you really have an axe to grind there Kenz." Daniel comments with a smile.

"Oh I do." Mackenzie says, placing her left hand in her right and cracking her knuckles.

"And why's that?" Daniel asks

MIXED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

 AND WE'RE BACK!

"Because Jessie Salco is everything wrong with wrestling and the world in general." Mackenzie says through gritted teeth. "The woman sits and demands the world and offers fuck all in return."

Despayre puts a hand up.

"Yeah, yeah, swear jar, pay ya later." Mackenzie says. "The woman sits there thinking she's better than she is, thinks she has the right to demand everything but can't win for shit. She tries to think she's something special but all she does is moan and bitch about everything, and then demands a shot at something. She sits on her high horse looking down at everyone, insulting everyone and then thinks she can just get whatever she wants."

"Clearly never heard of the phrase you catch more flies with honey." Charlotte adds "But I agree, the woman is a menace to the wrestling world, a menace to life in general. How the hell she found anyone to marry her is beyond the realms of reality. Seriously, the woman ain't right in the head. There's a right way of doing things and a wrong way and she wouldn't know the right way if it bit her on the arse."

"Stupid, horse faced bint." Mackenzie chips in. "We all know the only reason she's in this match is because they didn't want odd numbers in this whole thing, so to even it up, along comes Jessie."

"This is just gonna be another chance she has and fails at." Charlotte says thoughtfully. "There's no talent there as such, there's no reason for her to get a shot at any title. Fighting the Syrian bird is probably her level. Maybe her constantly insulting the staff is her way of trying to deflect the attention away from the fact that she's gotta be under their desks to be given all these shots."

"Doesn't matter." Mackenzie tells Charlotte "We will make sure that after Into The Void VII, Jessie Salco will not deserve a shot at anything or anyone. Acquin isn't gonna drag her through or turn her in to a wrestler overnight, he's just as bad as she is, he won't make any difference at all. The fuck they think they should be given the belts is just stupid. From we want a title shot, to just give us the titles. Ummmm, nah, your alright. The simple thing is she asked for this, she asked for the shot, now she's painted a target on her back."

"I don't think it matters to the fans who wins, just as long as it's not her." Charlotte adds "They're sick of her, we're sick of her, everyone backstage is sick of her. Remember those videos we watched off her in training, her complaining about those Mean Girls women."

Mackenzie nods.

"Well she has become just that." Charlotte says. "A whiney little self entitled brat that nobody really likes."

"I was so glad to see Amy Santino kick the shit out her." Mackenzie says with a smile. "No doubt Jessie will be a little chicken shit like she was last week, and attack someone from behind, with a chair, and go for Amy before the match. Fucking coward that she is."

"Amy isn't much better" Charlotte muses. "She did that sneak attack too, but because it was on Jessie, it's all good. You know Amy just formed that team because she wants to be the first person to win every title, right?"

"Of course." Mackenzie says. "The woman is achievement driven. How she's got so far on such little talent is unreal. I mean she's not actually that good. Her promos are laced with a cameraman's work from shows, she spends like twenty seconds talking and has the personality of a piece of cardboard. She's won every title, but has she? Cause to me, the woman has lucked out at every chance she ever had. She just wants this gold because it adds to her collection, but this would be no different. If she has a slight chance, just a slight one of getting her hands on these titles, it would be because she got lucky again."

"Oh she's not gonna get her hands anywhere near these titles." Charlotte says. "The woman is dreadful. If our promo airs before hers, no doubt she will use what we say about her against us this week. Doesn't have a creative bone in her body in the ring or outside it. Her and Wyatt will ride off in to the sunset after they see they're not good enough to go against us. It'll be like when the tag titles were vacant and all those teams came back to go for them, then pissed off as soon as we won them. This ain't gonna be any different. Amy and Wyatt will be doing the same after this. She'll see she ain't all that and fuck off."

"If she makes it to the ring, with a chair swinging horse face after her." Mackenzie says. "She ain't gonna take her revenge in the ring, too much of a coward for that."

Charlotte nods in agreement.

"If she does make it to the ring." Charlotte continues "It won't make any difference at all because she ain't walking away with anything but cuts and bruises. Amy's best days are long gone when it comes to wrestling, but even her best days wasn't that good, she might as well give up the ghost now, stick to laying on her back with her legs in the air on camera, rather than wrestling."

"She's not even good at that to be honest." Mackenzie says. "But some people pay for the fetish of seeing old beat up, tattooed tarts faking an orgasm."

Another in agreement comes from Charlotte's head.

"Is it worth talking about the other bird in the match?" Mackenzie asks. "It's not like she's done anything to be known around here."

"From what I can figure out. From what I've read about her." Charlotte says tapping the side of her face. "She thinks she's some kinda witch."

Mackenzie rolls her eyes.

"Oh real original." Mackenzie says sarcastically. "Another idiot that's watched too many movies or had a crush on Harry Potter or something. Where do people come up with this shit. An assassin with a sister that's a witch? If she was that good of a witch, he wouldn't have to be an assassin, she could click her fingers and problem solved. I have no clue where people come up with this crap, but it doesn't matter, just another person to beat."

"If she ever shows up of course." Charlotte says. "She's not exactly been making a lot of noise around here."

"Doesn't matter." Mackenzie says firmly. "She's standing in the way of something that's ours and will be dealt with, no problems at all. No fucking magic spell or voodoo is gonna stop us from getting what we deserve to have."

"We should have had it weeks ago and defending them by now." Charlotte says "The titles will be ours"

"Doesn't matter which two of us it will be in there at Into The Void VII." Mackenzie says, looking at Charlotte. "We will become champions again."

"That's why we've been busting our arses in the gym to become champions." Daniel says with a proud nod.

"Well, except last week." Despayre reminds them.

"Yeah, we had to go home for a few days, stuff needed doing." Daniel tells the popcorn eating Despayre.

"What stuff?" Despayre asks innocently.

Daniel tilts his head to the side as he thinks back to the groups time in London.

We all love a little flutter, doesn't matter if it's the horses, the dogs, the football, we all love a game of chance to make things a little more exciting, a little more interesting. Daniel, Osbourne, me and Mackenzie were no different, but what we liked a little more was knowing that we was gonna win. You've heard the term the house always wins, right? Pretty common phrase when it comes to gambling, cause every pound not the house loses, it pulls in another ten. It's just the way things work. It's an obvious route to go if you need to fund things quickly, set up a gambling den and watch the money roll in. It was one of the first things Daniel had set up as he started his rise through the ranks, making the Morgan name mean something in the East End. It had been a psychically tough few weeks for us all, but a phone call from home made us go back to deal with something that had been going on in our absence. No one likes someone trying to get a free ride in this world...

Casino Morgan, not an official name, off the radar little gambling dens like this never did get officially christened, but it was a name that was whispered through the group from time to time, when in reality, it was a back room in an east end pub. A small bar to one side is where Daniel sat, Osbourne standing behind him, both observing the room. Roulette tables set up with willing customers around them, placing their money on their favourite numbers, watching the ball roll around, eagerly looking and hoping to be leaving with more money then they started with. Craps tables side to side, with excited punters rolling the dice, watching what numbers will be face up. Card table to the other side of the room, this is where Daniel's eyes were, looking at one man, seeming to be having a lot of luck at the tables. Daniel keeps his eyes firmly on him, even an approach from Mackenzie and Charlotte doesn't take away his stare.

"I see there's no need for us to point him out to you." Charlotte says, standing next to Daniel.

"None at all." Daniel says as he picks up a glass of whiskey on the rocks, bringing it to his lips and taking a sip. "Not sure why David couldn't handle this."

"Probably too busy doing his best Scarface impression in a mountain of powder." Mackenzie adds.

David Morgan, in case you forgot, is the brother of Daniel Morgan, often left in charge of their business endeavours while Daniel is in America. He wasn't as respected as Daniel, more than rough around the edges and very unpopular with Osbourne, Mackenzie and Charlotte, but in Daniel's eyes, you can't pick your family, right?

Daniel's eyes stay on the man as he wins yet another hand, his confidence growing with every chip that's slid towards his hands.

"What do you want us to do?" Mackenzie asks with her head tilted, her eyes on Daniel as he swirls the glass of whiskey in his hand.

"Give him two more hands." Daniel instructs. "Then bring him upstairs for a little chat."

Charlotte and Mackenzie nod as they walk towards the man, enjoying another win and Daniel looks up at Osbourne, giving him the nod. Daniel stands up, straightening his jacket and walks towards a door at the side of the room, followed by Osbourne and the camera cuts to another room.

A desk and chair is seen, and a mini bar to the side of the room, nothing more in this small room, just a balcony door to the side of the room. Daniel and Osbourne walk in to the room. Daniel walks to the desk, moving behind it and sitting down, while Osbourne moves towards the mini bar, picking up a crystal bottle, and taking the top off, before pouring a dark liquid, presumably whiskey, in to a glass and moves towards Daniel, placing it on the desk in front of him. Daniel nods appreciatively towards the bigger man who moves behind him.

"Ya know Os, I do hate people who try to screw me out of money." Daniel says, lifting the glass up. "When you try and mug people off my taking their readies, it's a piss take. play the game fairly, and you might come out ahead from time to time."

Daniel lifts the glass to just under his lips.

"Well, maybe not." He says with a smirk and a shrug. "But it ain't about winning and losing when it comes to having a bit of a flutter, it's about the excitement."

A struggle can be heard outside the door.

"Seems like our visitor has arrived." Daniel says calmly.

The door flies open to see Charlotte walking through first, with Mackenzie holding a man in a hammerlock, pushing him through the door and in to the room. The man instinctively turns around and tries to make a break for the exit, but Charlotte puts her foot out, tripping the man, causing him to land on his hands and knees. Mackenzie and Charlotte reach down, pulling him back to his feet and spins him around to see Daniel sitting behind the desk.

"I really wouldn't bother running if I was you." Daniel says firmly. "I mean you just showed yourself how silly that was. Coulda saved yourself the hassle of falling over face first and looking like a complete lemon."

The man stops and looks at Daniel, the realization on who he is, starting to sink in.

"Oh shit, you're...." The man stutters out.

Daniel raises a hand, stopping the man from talking.

"Nevermind who I am." Daniel says firmly. "I know who I am, pretty much everyone knows who I am."

Daniel raises the whiskey to his lips, taking a sip.

"And I personally don't wanna know who you are." Daniel tells the man. "I honestly couldn't give a toss who you are, but there is something I really don't like about you without even knowing you. I don't like the fact that you think you're Bertie big bollocks, coming in to my house and trying to con us for money. I really don't like that fact at all."

Mackenzie roughly pushes the man in to the seat in front of Daniel.

"And we're gonna have a little chat about that." Daniel says to the very nervous man.

"I'm not trying to con you, I'm just playing cards." The man stutters out. "It's just my lucky day."

Daniel leans forward on the desk, as Charlotte and Mackenzie stand behind him.

"Behave yourself silly bollocks." Daniel says looking at the man. "I wasn't born yesterday, nor did I come over on a banana boat. I never came down with the last shower, nor am I sitting here with blinkers on. I don't think it counts as having a lucky day when you know how to count cards."

"I don't know how to count cards..." The man says unconvincingly, causing Mackenzie to smack the man around the back of the head.

"I think you do." Daniel says wagging a finger at him. "I think you know how to count cards very, very well and that's why you're winning pretty much every hand. I think in your head, you know what the next card is gonna be without it drawn and that is something I don't like, something I don't like at all."

Daniel takes a sip of the whiskey before continuing.

"Don't like that in the slightest my old son." Daniel tells him. "Now, I haven't exactly been the most savoury of characters throughout my life, but I have never taken anything from people who didn't deserve it. So by that logic, you must have sat there and thought you deserve the money more than we do. Is that the case?"

The man shakes his head, not saying a word to Daniel.

"So you came in to my house, put your hand in the cookie jar to make a quick few quid." Daniel states. "Now if you woulda done that fairly, played the game of chance the way it should have been played, I'd have shook your hand and said congratulations, but you didn't. You came in here, acting the big boy and tried to steal from me. I don't like little tea leaves like you."

Charlotte and Mackenzie lift the man to his feet and push him forcefully towards the balcony door. Osbourne moves towards the two women and opens the balcony door while Daniel stands up, straightening his jacket as he moves towards the group. Mackenzie forces the man on to the balcony, but Osbourne lifts the man over the balcony, grabbing his ankles and holding him over the balcony! Daniel moves towards him and leans over, looking at the dangling man.

"You alright down there son?" Daniel says with a smile. "Want a drink or something?"

Daniel nods his head towards the room and Mackenzie walks in the room.

"See, this is how much I really don't like it when people try to take money out of my pocket." Daniel says leaning over the rail.

"Holy shit!" The man yells out, his voice being drowned out by the London street noise. "Please don't drop me! I won't do it again."

Mackenzie walks out from the room, holding a bottle water, she starts to pour it over the top of the man.

"Dear oh dear Kenz." Daniel says with a shake of his head and a mocking tone. "You nearly got Os' hands wet, he might have just dropped this guy cause of those wet hands."

"Please don't drop me!" The man yells out again.

Daniel leans over the rail again, looking down at the man.

"You kinda put yourself in this position really, didn't you?" Daniel tells the man. "You come in to a place where everything is nice and friendly, and you take the piss out of it, thinking that we wouldn't find out, thinking that everything would be hunky dory, and you go home to your little pokey place and count the riches. Silly really to risk your life for something like that, don't ya think?"

Daniel shakes his head disappointedly.

"I know we'd all like an extra few quid in our pocket" Daniel tells him "We'd all love a couple of quid more than what we got, but this way could turn you in to a pancake on the streets of London. So now you gotta ask yourself, was it really worth it?"

"No! No!" The man screams out.

"Wouldn't struggle too much if I was you pal." Daniel tells the man. "Os is a strong bloke but all that wiggling might get him to drop you."

Before the conversation can continue, Daniel's phone starts to ring in his pocket. He pulls it out and looks at it, seeing Gabriel's name on the front of it. Daniel leans back over the balcony.

"I gotta take this, so don't go anywhere." Daniel tells the man with a smile.

He leans back and pulls the phone out of his pocket.

"Hello mate." Daniel says cheerfully. "Nah, not up to much here. Just..."

Daniel looks over the balcony.

"Hanging around." Daniel says before turning back. "What's on your mind?"

Daniel listens for a few seconds.

"Really?" Daniel says with a nod and a smile. "Yeah, it's not a problem, we'll be back over to America tomorrow. Good hearing from you."

Daniel puts the phone back in his pocket and nods his head towards the door, and jets a thumb towards in inside, indicating to Osbourne to bring the man back over the rail. Osbourne lifts him back over and lifts the man to his feet, turning him towards Daniel.

"You might have been right earlier, because this could be your lucky day." Daniel tells him. "Cause we now have bigger things to do then to waste our time dealing with you."

Daniel straightens the man's jacket.

"Now what you're gonna do, is disappear from here." Daniel says tapping his palm on the man's cheek. "Just go, disappear, and if I see you anywhere near my door again, you will be finding yourself hanging over my balcony again, but the difference is Os will have butter fingers, you got it mush?"

The man nods his head fast, and Daniel points a thumb towards the door, causing Charlotte to push him through the door and in to the room. Daniel looks at Osbourne.

"Looks like we have be back stateside tomorrow." He says with a wink.

The cameras go back to the gym, where Despayre sits opened mouthed, looking at Daniel.

"Did that really happen?" He asks.

Gabriel looks at Daniel, shaking his head.

"Nah." Daniel says "We just drunk a lot of tea and caught up on Eastenders."

"I thought so!" Despayre says with a firm nod.

Before the conversation can continue, Fenris and Aron enter the gym, moving towards the ring.

"Það lítur út fyrir að þú sért með teisveislu" Fenris says with an arrogant smirk.

"In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary." Daniel starts "Come again?"

"He said it looks like you're having a tea party." Aron translates.

"Just a little break." Daniel tells him. "But it is probably time we got back to work."

Daniel leans in to Despayre.

"Next week, I'm having a little get together at our new place out here." Daniel tells him. "If you show up, I'll tell ya how we met happy chops over there."

Daniel nods towards Fenris as the scene cuts to black.

MIXED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
 Tuesday 8th May.
Santa Rosa, CA

The scene opens inside the home of Joey and Amy, where we see Amy enter through the front door after a short run. Kicking her shoes off, Amy moves to the sofa and sat down as Joey appear from the garden.

Joey: I heard your phone go?

Amy: Oh?

Amy frowned as she picks up her cell to see a missed called and a voice mail message. Checking the caller id, Amy raised an eyebrow before moving to the voicemail.

"Hi. This is a message from the office of Christian Underwood. He had scheduled a video conference call for today at 1:37pm. He stated that it is highly important that meeting goes ahead. Thank you."

The message stops there before giving several options to ring back etc... but Amy hangs up.

Amy: Hmm

Joey: What’s up?

Christian has by the sounds of it ordered me to a meeting in a video conference call today.

Joey: What does he want?

Amy: I’m not sure... he can’t force me to do anything as i haven’t signed a contract. I guess we will find out in a few hour’s time. However, before that happens i am going to have a shower. Can you make me a sandwich?

Joey: Anything in particular?

Amy: Surprise me.

Amy smiles before disappearing for her shower as Joey heads into the kitchen the scene quickly fades out. The scene fades back in a few hours later as Amy's laptop begins to begin to ring.

Looking at Joey she moves to the sofa and opens her laptop and accepts the video skype call and in front of her is Christian Underwood but also in the call is Wyatt Peterson. Taking in the screen in front of her, where she sees Christian sitting all business-like with a pair of glasses, while Wyatt looks equally confused with the current situation.

Christian: Thank you for taking this call and i am going to get straight down to business... I would like to take this time to begin negotiations to keep the both of you in SCW as a mixed tag team for the upcoming championship match when we can schedule it, and singles too if at all possible.

Christian waits for a response from either Amy or Wyatt... as Amy takes in what Christian is saying and offering.

Wyatt: Ah'm perdy partial tah The Country Punkin's hangin' round, but the ball's in Ms Amy's court.

Wyatt says as he instantly reels off a tag team name, which is quite snazzy.

Christian: Awww! Loving the name! May I quote you on that?

Christian queries breaking his business demeanour as i listen and saying nothing but think about things.

Wyatt: That one is also up tah Ms Amy. I ain't told 'er that one yet

Wyatt says as Amy continues to say nothing but, in all honesty, she had been thinking about the mixed tag titles but had never considered putting a name down

Wyatt: Wait... quote what I said or quote that as our name? Lol

Amy: What do you think?

Amy whispered to Joey.

Joey: I will support you in anything you do. But at the end of the day its Lori you have to contend with.

Amy: I’m tempted and the weeks that I’m not wrestling I can work.

Amy turns back to the screen.

Wyatt: I'm cool with it

Amy then chimes in.

Amy: Nice name. I've kind of been thinking about the mixed tag titles... how nicely it would go under my resume. Becoming the first tag team holders and making me the ultimate grand slam champion.

Amy smiles and shrugs.... because after all the ultimate goal is to win and be at the top of the division.

Wyatt: Then ah guess this makes it official

Wyatt says but Amy comes back in.

Amy: But don't say anything yet... I want to make it a surprise.

It was true.... Amy wanted keep this on the down low and make it a surprise.

Wyatt: Ah think me an' Ms Amy are going to need tah speak a bit in private. Please excuse us, Mistah Underwood

Wyatt disconnects.

Amy: Thank you Christian. I will speak to you soon about a contract.

Christian: Thank you Ms Santino.

Christian hangs up and Amy hangs up.

Amy: What do you think?

Joey: Go for it. Talk with Wyatt and see what you guys come up with.

Amy: Sure.

In that moment Amy laptop rings again from the skype messaging service as Amy answers, however, this time Amy stands to hear feet and moves to the kitchen in a hint that she wants to speak in private. The scene fades out on Amy in the kitchen.

***Flashback***

Climax Control 204
6th May 2018
Reno, NV

The reason I entered the Blast From The Past Tournament was the unpredictability of it, who you can be partnered with and who you could be facing and if teams can work or not.  This year has been certainly unpredictable as this year I would be partnered with Wyatt Peterson… someone whom I would never associate with, but the man I got to know over the weeks would turn out to be a good man and a good partner.  Unlike previous times in this tournament… I wasn’t stuck with someone who had ego, but someone was more down to business and who is trying to make a name for himself.  unfortunately, our time in the tournament would be cut short… however, reaching the semi-finals I was proud of the team.

Peterson accepts Amy's tag then piles into the ring. Devin enters the ring on the opposite side and charges at Wyatt without fear. Peterson catches him with a double axe handle! The shot from such a large opponent sends Shorty back. Evie Baang rolls back into the ring still in a daze from Amy's super kick which catches the referee's attention. Tyler notices this and charges at Wyatt full speed! He headbutts the tall superstar in the crotch with everything he's got! Adams along with all the men in the front row wince at the shot! St. John turns after sending the dazed Baang to her corner, who nods at Devin after giving him the opening for the low blow.

Peterson hits both knees holding his jewels while his smaller opponent climbs the turnbuckles in the corner closest to Wyatt. Peterson staggers to his feet just in time to catch a tornado DDT from the diving Shorty, who leaped from the tip top! The manoeuvre drives Wyatt’s head into the mat. Marshall watches on in horror as Devin hooks a leg!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

DING DING DING!

Justin: Your winners via pinfall, Devin Tyler and Evie Banng!

::: Backstage :::

Returning backstage shortly after the match against Devin Tyler and Evie Baang, although disappointed from the outcome of the match she was happy they got this far and happy how the team performed over the weeks in the tournament.   Grabbing a towel and a bottle of water Amy moves too a crate out of the water, as Joey wonders over to give his commiseration, as Wyatt follows Amy to the nearby crate.

Wyatt: Ah am sorry Ms. Amy.

Wyatt apologises.

Amy: You don’t have to be. I am proud of this team and I thank you for taking us this far.

Amy smiles.

Wyatt: My pleasure… now if you excuse me… I am going to lick mah wounds.

Wyatt nods and take his leave, leaving Amy and Joey alone by the crate.

Joey: I think he is taking the loss pretty hard.

Amy: I would be too… getting pinned by a little person.  But I can’t be any prouder of him and the team. We went far but it sucks that we lose to someone like Devin Tyler and Evie Baang. But hey you win some and you lose some… and there is always next year.

Joey: Glad to see you wanting to return next year.

Amy: Yeah.

Amy smiles as she stands up straight and away from the crate, as she spots Pussy Willow heading towards her…

Pussy: Any chance of a few words regarding your match against Tyler and Baang?

Amy: I do… They were the better team tonight but at the same time they were lucky.

Pussy: Are you disappointed at the result?

Amy: Yes and no.  Yes because we lost… no because Wyatt and I went further than I ever had in this tournament and I am proud.

Pussy: How were they lucky?

Amy: Lucky because no-one can get their head around Devin Tyler. Now if you excuse me… I want to show and head off with Joey.

Pussy: Well thank you.

Amy smiles and nods at Pussy before walking away and heading back to the locker room. The scene soon fades out with the locker room door closing.

Climax Control 205

Backstage moments after Amy attacked Jessie, in which Amy threw her name into the pot for the mixed tag team titles and partnering Wyatt Peterson.

Amy: Do you think Jessie saw that coming?

Wyatt: I don’t think so.

Amy: Is she going to pissed?

Wyatt: Maybe...

Wyatt nodded and shrugs as Scott Oliver appears with a goofy smile on his face.

Scott Oliver: Amy can i have a few words about your actions tonight’s?

Amy: My actions and what i said out there was loud and clear. But sure, i can reiterate them if you want.

Scott Oliver: Please.

Amy looked at Wyatt who shook his head.

Amy: Ok then. Since Jessie and Joshua feel entitled to have the mixed tag titles without any competition... Wyatt and I decided to put our names forward to challenge them and anyone else who feel compelled to join in.

Scott Oliver: But what about the attack?

Amy: The attack... to be honest... i was getting a little sick and tired of Jessie's ranting and raving about who deserves this and who deserves that and deporting some poor random from the country. Frankly I had enough of it. One can only sit on the fence for so long.

And for the record... while I’m not close to Ben... Ben does deserve to get something in this company. He has been here for god knows how long and he has held very few titles. It’s about damn time he is included in contendership matches and title matches.

Amy: Jessie has had her fair share of title shots and failed each and every damn time. She knows she has to earn them like everyone else... she has to work up the ladder. It’s just stupid that she is stopping others from getting a real shot.

Amy shakes her head in disappointment.

Scott Oliver: What about Joshua...

Amy: I have no issues with him. As far as I’m concerned, he is still a friend. Just decided to pick the wrong person to associate with and i feel sorry for him.

He should have come to me and asked if he want to tag with me but it’s up to him at the end of the day. He will realise that he made a mistake.

Amy shrugs with a half-smile.

Scott Oliver: Well thank you Amy. And good luck in your mixed tag team adventure.

Amy: You are very welcome.

Amy smiles as Joey casually strolls over.

Wyatt: Thank ya Ms Amy... I look forward to steppin' partnahring with you again. I'll leave you two love birds alone.

Amy: Thanks Wyatt. I'll catch with soon. We will have a few things to discuss

Wyatt: Sure thing.

Wyatt dips his hat and takes his leave, leaving Amy and Joey alone.

Joey: their faces were priceless.

Amy smiles and moved in close to Joey.

Amy: I bet they were. I don’t think anyone saw it coming.

Joey pulls Amy close and hugs her tight.

Joey: what now?

Amy: To Christian' office to sign my new contract.

Amy says as she kisses Joey before pulling away and grabs his hand and leads him down the hallway. The scene fades out in Amy and Joey heading down the hallway.

16th May 2018
Baltimore, MD
3-X HQ.
Time: 9am

The scene opens up inside the offices and filming studios of 3-X Productions, where we see Amy entering the building as she greets those around her before heading to her office, in which she sits down and looks to Lori’s desk which was messy but no sign of Lori as yet.  Amy turns her focus back to her laptop, where she fires it up as a man comes to the door.

Man: Do you have the key to the basement?

Amy: I do.

Amy opens up her draw and pulls out the keys and chuck its to the man at the door.

Man: Cheers boss.

Amy: No problem Danny.

Danny disappears as someone else comes to the door.

??: Who am I filming with today?

Amy: One second.

With the laptop fired up, Amy logs in and then goes to her calendar.

Amy: You are filming with Jack today.

??: Thanks.

With that the girls leaves, and Lori enters the room.

Lori: Morning.

Lori places her bag down before sitting down at her desk.

Lori: How you doing Amy?

Amy: Good you?

Lori: I’m great. Although I sense something might be up.

Lori says looking over to Amy.

Amy: I’ve re-signed with SCW… however, I will keep working when I’m not wrestling.
Lori: That’s totally fine. I always knew you would return I just didn’t know when… but I’m not mad.

Lori says with a smile and shrug.

Amy: You sure?

Amy queried.

Lori: Yeah… so when you going back to SCW?

Lori asked.

Amy: I’m working this week but next week I have to focus and kick ass in the gym.

Lori: Well good luck.

Amy: Thanks.

Amy smiled before letting out some air as she sits back.

Lori: What are your plans for today?

Amy: Uh… directing a couple of scenes and interviewing a couple of people.

Lori: What are the scenes?

Lori queries as the scene soon fades out as Amy discusses the scenes and the plans for that.

The mixed tag team titles.... it’s quite surprising that no other company in the world has done this before... however... the reception for this hasn’t quite lived up to its expectation. But you know what.... next Sunday the expectation will be high as The Country Punkins take on Jessie and Joshua, one of two combinations of the London Underground and Claudia and Maxim Seraphina.

What you think of the name first off... The Country Punkins. All Wyatt's idea and its quite catchy. You are all going to like our music as well.

Anyway... some people are going to question my motives for this match. Many are going to say, 'she is only in this match because it’s the one title she has never held, and she is just going for the gold.' - well yeah. If Mercedes likes to count how many days undefeated she is or how many championships she held etc... then why can't i just go for gold and glory. That is after all why we are here in the wrestling business. Be the best and be at the top of the division. If no-one likes this then i don’t care.

Aside from the fact that i want championship gold this isn’t just about me... it's Wyatt as well... i want to help him be the best. He is one of the most underrated wrestlers in this company and he deserves so much more. He deserves recognition he deserves to have his name in lights and he deserves to have championship gold around his waist. There no I in team in this team... there is us and we... and we are going to win.

To do this... we have to first get beat London Underground, Jessie and Joshua and Claudia and Maxim Seraphina, however this won't be easy. The main threat is the London Underground and whatever combination they are sticking into this match, which could be Morgan/Page, Morgan/Elliot, Osbourne/Page or Osbourne/Elliot. First off should be interesting which combo it's going to be as they have their own styles... brawler, submission and technical... but to be honest we can handle it. I can brawl, I have submission and I can be technical and Wyatt... he just likes to brawl, but we will just have to adapt to the styles and we are ready for that, no matter what is thrown at us.

Going back to the combinations of LU and the situation of the bombshell tag team titles and tag team titles... Daniel J Morgan said in a tweet on May 5th just give them the tag titles.... how about let’s not. I do have to wonder who drew the short straw going into the match because either McKenzie or Charlotte is going to lose out. You mentioned the free bird rule and that there is no in fighting about who is going into this match.

To be honest.... just sounds like cheap cop out with not hurting anyone’s feelings. But you four can do whatever the fuck you like... I’m ready and Wyatt's ready. I may have lost in the past to Charlotte and McKenzie in tag team action... but this time it will be different. Different because you can't double team your opponent... you can't tag in and out to wear your opponent down and you can't attack you while they are in the corner. But no doubt you will find a way around that.

LU is the main threat of this match... you have been working together for years while Wyatt and I have had a few matches in a silly little tournament. You may think you have the upper hand going into this match. That you have his match won... wrong... your cockiness will be your down fall. This time I’ve been studying and working out hard. I've been training with Wyatt and talking to him and we got his.... we can beat you.

LU you may he main threat... but we are not scared nor intimidated. We are going to win this match... we are going to be the first holders of the Mixed Tag Team titles.

Prepare for war.

Speaking of war... I’m expecting one from Jessie and Joshua. Were you a little surprised Jessie at what happened in that ring. Jumping you from behind. In fairness i just wanted to make an impact of my return and put my name in for the mixed tag team titles. However, I have to be honest here i was getting a little sick of the pity party you were throwing with Joshua. But thinking back...

I was getting annoyed at the cheap attacks to Parand and Ben Jordan. Yes, Parand did post-match attack someone but all she was doing was making a name for herself. As for Ben Jordan... we may hang out occasionally, but Ben does deserve more in this company and I can't fault him for his protest etc... but as i said i was getting a little bit sick at your pity party.

Do you realise Jessie... the only thing you are going to be remembered for in this company is being my tag team partner and the girl who had so any undeserved bombshell title shot and massive failed over and over and over again.

So, you realise you owe much of your success to me. Two-time tag team title holders and a Roulette championship and the hours of training over the years. Before MPC you were nothing.

Sorry Jessie.

But let’s face it... your tag team with Joshua... you are the weakest team in the match and just a joke. Joshua as much as I love him as a friend... he is an average wrestler at best. Sorry Joshua... he hasn’t really made a name for himself in his company. And you and him partnering together... you two are going to win fuck all.

You should call your tag team The Cry Babies. Because we all know that you are going to continue this hard done by act after the match and days and weeks after.

Sorry guys... however, I won't be sorry for what i what i would be doing to you Jessie inside the ring. I know you Jessie...your strengths your weaknesses etc... this is why i changed up my wrestling style... keep things fresh. Unfortunately for you just the same old Jessie and the same old Jesse is going to get her ass kicked and hopefully get shut up.

And finally... errr Maxim and Claudia Seraphina...any clue who they are?

Anyone?

Nope... me either. Just a couple of nobodies from the Seraphina family who is trying to i guess leech off Lucy Seraphina's fame. I don’t know who Maxim and Claudia are... aside from their brief cameo appearances in a Seraphina promo's, which makes them the dark horses of this match. However, if Claudia got her training from Lucy then there is some chance in this match.

Claudia... I apologise because I don't know you that well aside from you brief appearances in Lucy's promos plus there are no matches i can study from which sucks.

However, I will not be sorry for what happens inside that ring. Rookie or not... you are in dangerous territory because everyone will zero on in you me included.

The Seraphina's in this match will be have zero chance in this match. You will be just cannon fodder.

Next Sunday history will be made... history that The Country Punkins will be writing it as the first holders of the title.

See you all.

William Peccole Park
Reno, Nevada

(We join our match already in progress)

Peterson accepts Amy's tag then piles into the ring. Devin enters the ring on the opposite side and charges at Wyatt without fear. Peterson catches him with a double ax handle!

Simone: I think she was playing possum.

Adams: No way.

Peterson hits both knees holding his jewels while his smaller opponent climbs the turnbuckles in the corner closest to Wyatt. Peterson staggers to his feet just in time to catch a tornado DDT from the diving Shorty, who leaped from the tip top! The maneuver drives Wyatts head into the mat. Marshall watches on in horror as Devin hooks a leg!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

DING DING DING!

Justin: Your winners via pinfall, Devin Tyler and Evie Baang!

After the match

We open up inside of the makeshift locker room backstage at Climax Control #204. Various SCW superstars are either getting dressed of packing up to leave for the night as the show is almost finished. All of a sudden, the door bursts open and a pissed off Wyatt Peterson storms into the room. His manager, Tom Dudely, is close behind him. Wyatt walks all the way to the end of the room and back to the door. Many of the other superstars watch with a mixture of curiosity and fear as the big man repeats his pacing a couple more times until Tom finally grabs his arm to stop him. Wyatt doesn’t appreciate being stopped and he turns to Tom with a look that would scare the dots off of a Dalmatian. Wyatt addresses Tom through clenched teeth.

Wyatt: What?

Tom remains calm and collected.

Tom: You need to calm the fuck down.

Wyatt: Calm down?!? Calm down?!? I just got pinned… BY A FUCKING MIDGET!!!

Wyatt punches a locker that is just to the left of Tom’s head, leaving a big dent in the metal door. The veteran doesn’t flinch away from his protégé.

Tom: Look, nobody likes losing. God knows that I’ve lost plenty of times in my career. I’ve lost to guys twice my size and guys much smaller than me. One loss is not going to define your career, but reacting poorly to it will.

Wyatt stares at Tom in silence for a couple of minutes. His face changes from an angry red to more of a natural skin tone as his breathing returns to normal.

Tom: There! You’re gonna make it through this. Now go take a hot shower and we can discuss our plans for next week.

Wyatt doesn’t say a word. He just nods in agreement before turning towards the showers.

Tom: Don’t forget your towel.

Wyatt stops in his tracks and turns back to Tom who has grabbed a towel and is holding it out towards the cowboy. Wyatt smiles in thanks, taking the towel from Tom’s hand, and walks into the shower room. Tom walks over to his locker and opens the door. In one motion, Tom takes off his shirt and tosses it into the open locker before sitting down in a nearby chair to start taking off his shoes. He takes off his first shoe and starts working on the second when “Mama Tried” by Merle Haggard starts playing from Wyatt’s cell phone in the locker next to his. Tom quickly kicks off his other shoe and hurriedly opens Wyatt’s locker to answer the phone. He pushes a button and puts the phone to his ear.

Tom: Mrs. Peterson! I’m sorry, but Wyatt is in the shower right now.

Tom pauses as Wyatt’s mother speaks to him. Tom’s expression quickly turns to one of surprise mixed with sadness.

Tom: I… I’m so sorry to hear that. Of course I’ll tell Wyatt. I’m sure he will call you back shortly. Thank you, ma’am.

Tom ends the call with a click of a button. He slowly shakes his head.

Tom: Wyatt is not going to take this well at all.

Tom returns Wyatt’s cellphone to his locker before sitting back in his chair. He drops his face down into his hands and slowly massages his temples while trying to figure out how to break the news to Wyatt as the scene fades.

Peterson family household
Amarillo, Texas

The scene opens from the front porch of Wyatt Peterson’s childhood home on the outskirts of Amarillo, Texas. The white wooden railing goes from one end of the house to the other, disappearing around the side of the house on either side. A porch swing that matches the railing is on the corner of the patio farthest from the front door. The only break in the patio railing is a slightly off center set of two stairs that lead up to the patio from a paved walkway that leads from the dirt driveway several yards away. The only scenery from the patio are fields for as far as the eye can see and a single road that seems to go all of the way to the horizon. Shadows being cast by the early morning sunlight stretch from the house all the way to the driveway. After a few moments of enjoying the peaceful serenity of the warm Amarillo morning, it’s broken up by the sound from a noisy old truck rambling down the road towards the house. We watch as the truck gets closer, and louder, until it turns off of the road onto the dirt driveway, kicking up dust behind it. The old Chevrolet comes to a stop near the walkway that leads to the house and the engine stops. After a moment, the passenger door opens and Tom Dudely exits the vehicles. The sound of the door on the opposite side of the vehicle closing is heard and soon, Wyatt Peterson makes his way around to the side Tom is on. The two men stand together looking at the house.

Tom: I know this is going to be hard for you. Just know that your mother and I are here for you through all of this.

Wyatt: Ah appreciate that.

Wyatt grabs a duffle bag from the bed of the pickup truck and starts walking up the path towards the house. Tom scrambles to grab his duffle and jogs to catch up to the big man. They climb the steps up to the porch and stop in front of the oversized wood stained door. They stand there in silence for a couple of moments before Wyatt takes a deep breath and reaches out to ring the doorbell.  Wyatt fidgets with his feet while waiting for the door to be answered. After a few moments, the door opens and a woman with shoulder length, curly blonde hair appears in the doorway. She looks up at her son with her hazel eyes that are magnified by her eyeglasses. The crow’s feet around her eyes become more apparent as her smile widens at the sight of Wyatt.

Wyatt: Mornin’, Momma.

Wyatt’s mother runs out the door, embracing her son. Wyatt looks taken aback by the sudden “attack” but quickly recovers, wrapping his arms around her as well. The two of them embrace for several moments until Mrs. Peterson grabs Wyatt by the arms and holds him out at arm’s length to give him a once over.

Mrs. Peterson: You’ve grown so much!

Wyatt: Momma, ah’ve been this size since ah was fifteen. T’was right after ah grew nine inches o’er the summer o’ two thousan’ six.

Mrs. Peterson pulls Wyatt in for another quick hug before breaking the hold and turning towards Tom.

Mrs. Peterson: Ah’m so sorry. Where are mah manners? Tom, it’s so good tah see you again. Thank you for bringin’ mah boy home.

Tom gives her a smile.

Tom: Of course, Mrs. Peterson. But, I must say, once I gave Wyatt your message he made the decision to come on his own.

Wyatt: How’s he doin’?

Mrs. Peterson looks up at her son with sadness in her eyes.

Mrs. Peterson: He’s not doing well. The doctor says that he don’t have too long.

Wyatt’s eyes start to water, but he quickly wipes it away.

Wyatt: D’ya got any coffee? Ah’ve got a hankerin’ fer Momma’s special roast.

Mrs. Peterson: Of course. Come on inside an’ get comfortable. Ah’ll get the kettle on.

The three of them enter the house. Mrs. Peterson closes the door behind them and motions towards a door to the right.

Mrs. Peterson: You boys head on into the livin’ room an’ relax. Ah’ll meet y’all in there in a few with some mugs.

Tom: Thank you, Mrs. Peterson.

Wyatt: Thanks, Momma.

Tom and Wyatt make their way into a living room that looks like it came straight out of the seventies. A dark wood coffee table is in the center of the room. Sitting in the center of the table is a large, glass bunch of grapes with some crocheted coasters stacked to the side of it. A beige couch covered in floral print with a matching love seat are placed in an “L” shape around the coffee table. An older television with a rabbit ear antenna sits atop a rolling cart opposite the couch. Behind the loveseat, a large bookshelf that matches the coffee table is filled with dusty old books and VHS tapes. Tom takes a seat on the loveseat while Wyatt turns the dial on the TV to channel 3. It appears to be the local news but the static is really bad. Wyatt starts playing with the antenna until the picture is mostly clear. Once he’s satisfied with the picture quality, Wyatt takes a seat on the couch and puts his feet up on the coffee table.

Newscaster: The Rangers struggles continued last night as they faced the red hot Boston Red Sox. Chris Sales received some early run support with Mitch Moreland gave the Red Sox a one to nothing lead with an RBI double. The Red Sox were able to put up five more runs while the Rangers were only able to score one against Chris Sales’ twelve strikeouts over seven innings. The Rangers are now, an abysmal thirteen and twenty-three on the season. In other sports news, the Dallas Cowboys…

Wyatt: Dammit! This has not been a good season so far fer mah Rangers.

Tom: I can’t say the same for the Giants. I wasn’t expecting much, but they’ve been on a tear lately. They might even be fighting for a spot in the wild card.

After a few more minutes of watching the news, Mrs. Peterson walks into the room carrying three steaming mugs.

Mrs. Peterson: Everyone grab a coaster.

Tom and Wyatt oblige and each one grabs a coaster off of the stack and places it in front of themselves. Mrs. Peterson places a mug down in front of each of them before grabbing a coaster for herself and placing it on the coffee table in front of her and sits on the couch opposite Wyatt. She takes a sip from her mug before setting it down.

Wyatt: Can ah see ‘im?

Mrs. Peterson: Ah don’t think that’s a good idea. The doctor says that he needs to get plenty of rest and he’s sleeping last ah heard.

Wyatt gives his mother a pleading look, slightly pouting his lip. She looks at him with sorrow on her face and finally gives in.

Mrs. Peterson: Oh, alright! Let’s go see ‘im.

Wyatt instantly cheers up and pops up to his feet.

Wyatt: Good. Let’s go.

Tom and Mrs. Peterson stand up as well and follow Wyatt as he walks out the front door. Wyatt keeps a brisk pace and Tom and Mrs. Peterson are practically jogging to keep up with him. The three of them walk around to the back of the house and across the property until they reach the stables. Wyatt places his hand on the door and stops. He takes a deep breath before pulling the door open and heading inside. The three of the walk through the stable until they get to a stall with the nameplate “Butternuts” on it. Wyatt looks into the stall.

Wyatt: Hey buddy. How’re ya doin’?

The horse inside looks at Wyatt and tries unsuccessfully to get to his feet. This brings a tear to Wyatt’s eye seeing his old friend looking so frail. Tom puts his hand on Wyatt’s shoulder to soothe him.

Tom: I know you’ve had him since you were a kid. You guys practically grew up together. This is hard for you and I can’t make it hurt any less. Just know that I’m here for whatever you need. Whether it’s an ear or a beer, I’ve got you.

Wyatt solemnly pats Tom’s arm. Mrs. Peterson stands back watching sympathetically. Wyatt undoes the latch on the stall door and makes his way into. He sits down onto the straw covered floor next to Butternuts and places a hand on the side of the horse. Butternuts’ breathing is fast and shallow. Wyatt spends a few minutes in that position, silently observing the dying horse.

Wyatt: Can ah have a few moments alone with Butternuts?

Mrs. Peterson: O’course, dear. Me an’ Tom will head back tah the house an’ finish up our coffees. Take as much time as ya need.

After Tom and Mrs. Peterson leave, Wyatt just lies down on the ground next to Butternuts and lies his head on the horse’s belly. They sit there in silence for quite a while and Wyatt fights back tears while staring up at the ceiling of the stable. After about twenty minutes of silence, Wyatt finally speaks.

Wyatt: The last couple o’ days have been perdy rough, Butternuts. Ah had mah last match in SCW yesterday. Ah lost the match fer me an’ Ms. Amy tah git eliminated from the Blast from the Past tourn’ment.

Wyatt rolls to his side to look up at the dying horse’s face.

Wyatt: Ah know, mah problems are small potatoes compared tah yers. This is jus’ the last time ah’m gonna be able tah talk tah ya like this. You’ve been mah best friend since ah was five years old. Ah learned tah ride with ya. You’ve always been there fer me tah just vent to ‘bout anythin’ that’s buggin’ me. Ah want it tah be like that now. Even knowin’ that this is probably the last time it can be.

Wyatt reaches out and slowly runs his hand down Butternuts’ face from his ears down to his nose.

Wyatt: Ah guess ah should just forget ‘bout mah loss tah Devin Tyler. Even if he is half mah size, he beat me fair an’ square. Ah jus’ really wish it wasn’t the last thing the SCW fans are gonna remember me for.

To Wyatt’s surprise, Butternuts musters the energy to whinny in response. Wyatt seems to understand what the horse is trying to say.

Wyatt: Ah can’t go back tah SCW. Mah contract was only fer the tourn’ment. Anyway, ah don’ think ah can show mah face ‘round there again.

Butternuts responds again by whinnying and attempting to get to his feet. Wyatt sits upright to allow the horse room to maneuver. The horse stops struggling and Wyatt places his hand back on the horse’s side.

Wyatt: Ya really think ah outta git back in there? What would ah do? Ah don’t know the competition anymore. There’s a whole lotta people there that ah’d never seen before. Ah wouldn’t stand a chance goin’ fer the World Heavyweight Championship, or even the Roulette Championship. The only thing ah’d have had a shot at woulda been the Internet Championship, but that’s retired.

Butternuts starts struggling again to get to his feet, even stronger this time. He eventually gives up again with a whinny.

Wyatt: Ya really think ah should go fer the Mixed Tag titles? Ah mean, ah considered it a bit. Ah thought that if me an’ Ms. Amy were tah continue on we could actually give ourselves a name. Ah was throwin’ a couple ‘round in mah head and kinda like The Country Punkin’s. Whadda think? Should ah try tah git Ms. Amy tah go fer it with me?

Butternuts makes one final attempt to get to his feet. This time though, much to Wyatt’s surprise, Butternuts successfully gets upright. Wyatt slowly gets to his feet and places his hand on his old friend’s back.

Wyatt: Ah guess if yer able tah do that, then ah’ve got no excuse. Ah’ll reach out tah Ms. Amy tomorrow.

Wyatt walks to the front of the horse and leans down to be face to face with Butternuts.

Wyatt: Ah love ya, old friend.

Butternuts sticks out his tongue and licks Wyatt’s face before starting to shake violently. Wyatt reacts quickly and catches the horse as he starts to collapse. Wyatt lowers Butternuts to the ground as he continues to shake for a few moments before seizing to move altogether.

Wyatt: Butternuts?

Wyatt shakes Butternuts but elicits no movement. Now panicking a little, Wyatt places his ear on the horse’s chest. He doesn’t hear a heartbeat and immediately starts chest compressions on the large animal.

Wyatt: Come on, Butternuts. Don’t die on me. Not right now.

Wyatt continues chest compressions for several minutes without a change in the horse’s condition. Wyatt finally stops with the compressions and collapses face down on the side of Butternuts. His back starts moving in a way that shows that he is violently sobbing. After several more minutes, Wyatt sits upright on his knees, wiping his tear streaked face on the sleeve of his flannel shirt. Butternuts’ fur is discolored where Wyatt’s tears moistened it. Wyatt sniffles a couple of times before getting to his feet. He looks down at his now deceased friend and has to wipe away more tears before turning and walking out of the stall. He hangs his head down as he slowly walks out of the stable and back to the house. Upon walking into the living room, Tom and Mrs. Peterson quickly get to their feet and go over to comfort him. Mrs. Peterson grabs Wyatt and pulls him in for a hug, pulling his head down onto her shoulder. He starts sobbing again into his mother’s shoulders. Tom places his hand on the big man’s back as he continues to cry. After another five minutes of hard sobbing, Wyatt lifts his head from his mother’s shoulder and wipes his tears on his sleeves again. Tom and Mrs. Peterson look to Wyatt as he tries to find the words.

Wyatt: Butternuts jus’ died.

Wyatt can barely get the words out before collapsing back into his mother’s embrace and burying his face back into her already tear soaked blouse. Tom puts his hand back on the big man’s back, but Wyatt reaches out with his right arm and pulls Tom in for a hug as well. After an extended three-way hug, Wyatt finally lets go of the two of them.

Tom: I’ll call up Christian tomorrow to let him know that you won’t be there for Climax Control next week. I’m sure he will understand.

Wyatt shakes his head.

Wyatt: No, don’t do that. Ah’m gonna git ahold o’ Christian mahself. Butternuts wants me tah continue on in SCW an’ go fer the Mixed Tag titles. Ah wanna continue on fer Butternuts. He would’ve done the same fer me if the roles were reversed.

Mrs. Peterson: Are ya sure ya wanna do that? Butternuts was yer best friend. You should at least take a few weeks away tah mourn him.

Wyatt shakes his head again.

Wyatt: No! Ah wanna go next week. Ah’ll talk tah Ms. Amy tah see if she’s in, but ah’m goin’ back next week either way.

Tom: If that’s what you really want to do, then I’m with you all the way.

Wyatt: Ah appreciate it, Tom.  Maw, do ya mind if we stay here fer tonight an’ maybe tomorrow night? Ah wanna make sure we git the proper burial few Butternuts before ah go.

Mrs. Peterson: Of course, dear. You’re always welcome home. Stay as long as ya want.

Wyatt: Thanks, Momma. Tom, you said earlier that you’re good fer a beer?

Tom nods in acknowledgement.

Wyatt: Then, tonight we celebrate Butternuts’ life at the tavern. Tomorrow, we start towards our path tah the Mixed Tag Team Championships.

Wyatt places either arm around Tom and his mother and pulls them both in for another hug as the scene fades.

MIXED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Don't you just hate it when families get torn apart a bit? I am a big fan of togetherness, having a bond, but the little family of Gabriel is slowly getting picked apart by a couple of people. Me, Os and the girls don't take sides, we couldn't give a monkeys about the little fight within the house the Gabriel and Odette built, but we don't like it when a good thing gets ruined. I'm of course talking about our brothers in arms, Evie Baang and Fenris. If only those two could see how alike they are. Both have the same mental strength, both have the same weakness, the weakness of failing to see past their own noses lately. I know they're on a collision course on Sunday and may the best person win, but when family fight, as yes, people who walk through the door of Gabriel and Odette's gym to be trained and mentored, they become part of the little family.... But those two.... Bloody hell...

You have Evie who has become this cryptic, cold woman, who at one point, dropped the do it alone motif and joined in, tried to make herself part of the group. She's almost gone from focused to emo just like that. From someone who had pride in her work, to someone just going through the motions, and then you have Fenris who, let's be honest, has become a complete and utter dick, jumping on everything people have to say, like a pissed off pitbull, or the one who gets told no and decides to just be known as a menace. Even I've had my doubts about him, after all, I'm the one to blame for him being here, even I've started to wonder where my marbles are, seeing what he's become, I'm the one to blame for putting him in a position where his ego is getting out of control.

I guess this is what tonight's about really, group bonding if you will. I know there's potential for blood on the carpet, I know that this is a strained relationship, but I just want to prove one little thing.... That they can stay in a room together without ripping each others heads off. I've had enough of seeing this, Gabriel has no doubt noticed that the people he's trusted to put his name on, has become a little petty, it's time to unite the family again and put things together again. It ain't no humpty dumpty story, because once Sunday's out of the way, things will get put back together again.

And that is why they are both invited to my little get together, no Courtney Pierce, no Devin Tyler, just the group who's had the same thing drilled in to them, maybe this night will get the emo knocked out of Evie, and the dick like actions out of Fenris.

But before we get in to the party, we need to focus on us and a pair of mixed tag team championships....

A new home for the crew of London Underground, a four bedroom place in the hills, overlooking the streets of Vegas. The camera moves on to the faces of Daniel J Morgan and Osbourne as the stand on the balcony, looking at the various lights around them from the very few nearby houses. Daniel lens on the rail, looking around as Osbourne stands behind him, his left hand covering his right. Daniel looks at the camera in front of him and starts to speak.

"It's amazing how many people get a shot at gold, then clam up." He starts. "It's amazing how much people get a chance to write history, yet can't be arsed to put the effort in."

He glances his eyes back at Osbourne.

"It baffles me." Daniel says to the man who just nods his head once. "Baffling how you can get what you want, get a chance for that little bit of extra fame and yet can't be bothered to put the effort in to do anything."

Daniel turns his head back towards the camera.

"Especially when no one knows who you are and no idea what to expect." Daniel says pushing his hands together. "I'm looking in your direction Maxim Seraphina. Clearly you're treating this like a game mate, when you got a chance to hit the ground running, but nah, just gonna sit there and shut up. Must be a busy week to be doing all those assassinations in ya little fantasy world. Time for you to snap back a little bit to reality and get involved in real life, like most people around here. See, we're in the real world, we're up and ready to take on and write history while you sit there scratching your arse and planning on killing people in a make believe world. Oh Maxim you little disappointment you. You could have been so much more, you coulda actually been some competition, but nah, hide away playing kill people for money. It's funny, I haven't read anywhere that people have been assassinated, so it only brings me to the conclusion that those little grapefruits between your legs have shrunk up, turned in to marbles when you realized that you simply can not win this match, so you have become a bit of a wimp, bit of a pussy really."

Daniel smiles as he shrugs his left shoulder.

"To be fair, you wouldn't have stood much more of a chance, even if you did open that gob of yours." Daniel says confidently. "But at least we'd have known a little more what you're all about. We ain't gonna underestimate you, but you've shown you don't have the stones for this. Your silence speaks volumes about pretty much everything. It shows you have no commitment, it shows you have no urge to be here, it shows that you ain't ready to have your name in the history of SCW. As much as we won't under estimate, we sure as shit ain't worried about you. You are not a threat to us in this one pal."

Daniel takes a deep breath.

"You're as bad as Acquin, but he may just have a slight edge on you for being pathetic..." Daniel says softly. "I mean he's apparently Mr SCW, but pretty much proved last week that he has fuck all pride in that title."

Daniel turns his head and looks towards Osbourne.

"Who calls themselves that and half arses everything he ever does?" Daniel asks Osbourne, who shrugs his shoulders. "It's seriously embarrassing to have that title on someone who doesn't actually do anything to promote his company. You see Mr SCW and you look at him, you look at his work ethic, his list of achievements, look at him as a leader amongst men. That's the way it's meant to be but you look at Acquin, and what do you see? No work ethic, no extra effort, never broke away from the bottom of the card, never done anything worthy of a special, been in no big matches, and people wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire."

Daniel turns back towards the camera.

"It's true." Daniel says with a slight nod of his head. "You're not a leader, you're not respected, people do not look up to you, there's no way on Gods green earth should you ever be considered to be Mr SCW. I think SCW should do another match to crown someone much more deserving then bottom of the barrel Acquin. This match will prove further that you don't deserve that title, because you're gonna be made to look seriously embarrassed by this one. All those, just give me the belts cause I make you money bollocks, is gonna prove to be just that Acquin, nothing but a big steaming pile of horse shit. As we say back in the motherland, you're all mouth and no trousers, all fur coat and no knickers. It generally means you talk a good game but when you get down to it, you see that there's absolutely no substance to you, none at all. Just a guy who someone has ended up in a big pond, when you're the littlest of fishes. It's not because you make money for anyone, I'm surprised you make money for yourself. If they paid you for effort, you'd owe the company money. Congrats for sneaking in to another title match. It ain't gonna be worth your time, because you'll be getting that old family feeling of loss again, but still, I do hate an entitled bitch, so either me or Os are gonna take great pleasure in whacking you."

Daniel turns his body around ninety degrees and casts another look towards Osbourne.

"And that's the losers out of the way." Daniel tells Osbourne "The voiceless people around, and now I gotta talk about someone who could be bothered to talk. Unless you wanna do it?"

Osbourne shakes his head towards Daniel, causing Daniel to roll his eyes and turn back towards the camera.

"Didn't think so." Daniel mutters to himself. "It looks like at least one of our opponents had the decency to get his face out there, Wyatt Peterson."

Daniel raises both his hands.

"Now I know last week, I gave him a million and one nicknames." Daniel says with an honest smile. "But in the last week, things in me have changed a little, my views on Wyatt Peterson has changed because although we wasn't mentioned, nor was the match, at least a video aired showing that he was still around, and for that, I thank you or this whole little rant thing woulda just been me bitching about no shows, saying you were all scared or something, but after just a promo video of Wyatt and a couple of tweets, I think Wyatt proved he is a guy to be respected."

Daniel lowers his hands and puts them on the rail below.

"Wyatt, even through a tough time, reminded the world that he's still about, that he's human, that he has that emotional side." Daniel says, his eyes looking directly down the camera. "He could have cried off to mourn, he could have hid away, but no, he was putting his face out there and I respect that."

Daniel takes a deep breath.

"And I am sorry for your loss Wyatt." Daniel says sincerely. "Loss is strange thing, you can lose a million things in life and they all revoke the same feelings, regret, bargaining, disbelief, and we too have had that loss in our lives recently. Nothing as close as losing something you've had in your life like a beloved pet, but we felt that emptiness when we could no longer call ourselves champions, when we could no longer head a division. The hole that left was huge, it was disappointing, it was like something was missing and you know, it's a kick in the bollocks. There's a difference though Wyatt, while your loss will never be replaced, that black hole inside your heart is gonna be there forever, our loss, our sense of suffering ends on Sunday at Into The Void VII, because we will get back what puts a hole in our heart."

Daniel puts his right hand on his chest, covering his heart.

"We get to win those Mixed Tag Team championships." Daniel tells the world via the camera. "We get to replace our sense of loss with a sense of joy once more, we get to be champions again, we get to have the belts we deserved from the start. You see it's a new era when it comes to teams in SCW on Sunday, a brand new era where names will be written in to the SCW history books, and our names are going right in there, our names will always be number one, no one in this match can ever compete with that."

Daniel stands up straight.

"Now, I've said what I've had to..." He says with a slight nod of his head. "I think it's pretty clear where we stand on things and in there right now, we got a little get together going on, be rude to keep our guests waiting for our company. Maxim, Joshua, Wyatt, this story has already been written, we will be the ones walking out with those championship belts. You can't stop us."

Daniel smiles and nods as he turns around, walking back in to the room connected to the balcony. He looks around at the room, a modern room with a huge television on the wall in front of a U shaped sofa, and coffee table in the middle of it, around the sofa sits Fenris, next to his brother Aron, alongside Despayre and Synn. Around the turn of the U in the corner sits a heavily pregnant Odette Steven, her arm entwined with her husband Gabriel. Next to Gabriel sits a new face to the group a young lady by the name of Danielle Weston, the latest trainee of Odette and Gabriel's, a woman with a world of potential, while keeping her feet firmly on the ground. Around the next corner and along the final straight, sits Charlotte Elliot and Mackenzie Page. To Daniel's right, sitting at a table on her own, Evie Baang sits looking at a drink in front of her, isolating herself from the group. Daniel looks towards Evie and moves in front of her, pulling out a seat opposite her and sits down while Osbourne joins the group on the sofa as they chat amongst themselves.

"Alright, which one of them dropped one and forced ya over here?" Daniel asks with a slight smile

Evie looks up at him, a little confused by his comment.

"Huh?" She replies.

"What are you doing all the way over here?" Daniel asks her.

Evie stares her drink with her straw, not showing much interest in a conversation with anyone.

"Cause I don't wanna be over there." She tells him with a firm tone. "How long do I have to be here for?"

Her strong Australian accent was pulling no punches tonight, but Daniel brushes it off.

"It's like the song says." He says casually. "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."

Daniel smiles at his reference to the song Hotel California, but Evie rolls her eyes.

"What's the point of all this?" She asks harshly.

"The point is to prove that you and him can sit in a room for a few hours without killing each other." Daniel tells her. "Maybe it's to prove that even if you don't think it right now, you still have family in this room."

Evie looks up at Daniel, her eyes filled with fire.

"He is not my family." She says through gritted teeth.

"Everyone Gabriel and Odette train become family." Daniel tells her. "Thing is, you two are doing the same thing. He's pushing himself away from the group because his ego makes people not want to be around him, and you're pulling away from the group because you think you're playing second fiddle and not seeing the attention he's getting from the group is not the good kind."

"I have no clue what you're talking about." Evie tells Daniel. "And it's not your accent, I'm used to that."

"Maybe this will help explain it." Daniel says to her. "You're the oldest child, the first one that lead the way for us lot to follow, but since you was the first, you've allowed us lot to follow. With every new wrestler they might train, you think the attention goes away from you and on to them. Fenris was the straw that broke the camels back because he came in with all the controversy from his MMA stuff, so you think Mummy and Daddy over there don't love you anymore, or that they lean towards Fenris."

Evie knew that Daniel was referring to Odette and Gabriel in terms of Mummy and Daddy.

"But here's the thing Ms Baang." Daniel says leaning in close. "Those two don't play favourites, and they don't judge. They took an Australian who has a thing for taking information without permission and they worked with you, they took a woman who dreamed of wrestling as kid from down south and trained her, along with a book smart giant, and an idiot who once walked around a revolving door for an hour cause he saw his own reflection in the glass. They took a pissed up widower on a downward spiral, they took that young girl over there who's had about one hundred jobs trying to make ends meet, and they took four people on, knowing full well what we do, and they judged none of us. They looked out for the lot of us, and still do."

"And where exactly did you get your PhD?" Evie asks sarcastically.

"I got it from watching people Evie." Daniel tells her. "See, me and you, we ain't much different, if fact, we're a lot alike. We both go for what we want, by hook or by crook, we get it. Our methods are not strictly on the right side of the law. Because of that, you have to be very observant, you have to be able to read people, because your line of work before this, my extra curricular activity now, you need to stay one step ahead, you have to predict peoples moves, you have to predict peoples moods changing their moods."

"Have you got a point to this or so you just like hearing the sound of your own voice?" Evie asks, making solid eye contact with Daniel.

Daniel smiles and shakes her head, he got a kick out of her honesty.

"A little from column A, a little from column B." Daniel tells her. "My point is, Gabriel and Odette are fairly straight forward to read. Doesn't matter if you've won everything or nothing. It doesn't matter if you haven't debuted yet like Dani, or Beauty and The Beast, it doesn't matter if you choke and get scared after a match with the World champion, where you pull every excuse out under the sun from your arse, those two are proud of you, those two won't treat you any different from anyone else."

"Well thanks for that doc." Evie says, more sarcasm dripping from her tone.

"Mock all you want." Daniel tells her "But truer words won't be spoken tonight. They take you under their wing, you're there for life, even if you do wanna get away from certain siblings."

"He's not my sibling." Evie says through gritted teeth.

"Oh he is." Daniel informs her. "But you're missing the big picture."

Evie rolls her eyes towards Daniel, looking away for a brief second before picking up her drink and taking a sip through her straw. She places the glass back on the table and look at him.

"Oh and what's the big picture oh wise guru?" She says in her now familiar tone to reflect her mood.

"Big picture is if you break away from the group, you don't win, he does." Daniel says pointing a thumb towards Fenris. "You end up out there on ya own in a business that eats loners for breakfast, while he sits there thinking he broke the unbreakable Evie Baang. You'd be feeding his ego to the point where he won't be able to walk in and out of normal sized doors."

Not even a smile crosses Evie's lips as Daniel jokes with her.

"I don't need anyone in this world." Evie tells Daniel with a firm tone in her voice.

Daniel waves a finger at Evie and smiles.

"I used to think the same." Daniel says to her. "And then I got in to this business, a business where people would stab you in the back given the chance, where people have short memories. I thought when I was coming up with this plan to be in America and wrestle as a way to stay here, I thought us four could just do what we want. It took me five minutes to work out I was probably in over my head and I did not have an inkling on anything here. I lucked out finding a trainer who gives a fuck about us enough, that the training doesn't stop when you have your first match. I lucked out finding a bunch of people from different backgrounds to make sure I don't have the piss taken out of me, and they get the same from us in return. I lucked out that I got people who will put us on the right path."

"Stop it, you'll make me cry." Evie says dryly, rolling her eyes.

"Look, my point is, you have the same." Daniel tells her. "Going it alone because ya can't stand one person, is just daft. One bad don't out weigh all the good. You don't wanna admit it, or see it, or whatever, but you got a good support network here, not worth throwing it away on a whim."

Daniel stands up and looks at Evie.

"And it's not worth sitting over here on ya own." Daniel tells her.

"I'm fine where I am." Evie tells him.

"Fenris one, Evie nil." Daniel says with a shrug.

Evie looks at Daniel with narrowed eyes.

"What's that supposed to mean?" She asks.

"He's over there having a good night, not letting your presence bother him. So there's no point sitting over here all night." Daniel tells Evie. "You're sitting over here on ya own, he's over there watching his ego grow cause he's winning. Might as well come over there and join us. It ain't gonna kill ya unless you want him to win."

Evie sighs and stands up, picking up her drink, mostly doing as Daniel asked to shut the Englishman up, rather than him getting his own way. She points to the group with an opened hand and moves towards them. Daniel follows as Evie moves around the sofa, sitting next to Mackenzie Page. Daniel moves next to her and sits down. He's eyes move on to Danielle as she looks around the room, Daniel smiles as he looks towards Gabriel.

"Is she casing the joint or something?" He says with a smile.

"I just don't think she's been in a place like this before." Gabriel tells him, returning his smile.

"Hey Daniel." Despayre calls across, causing Daniel to look across the sofa at Despayre. "Last week in the gym, you said you'd tell me the story of how you met..."

Despayre looks towards Fenris and points a thumb at him.

"Happy chops." Despayre says, drawing a look of confusion from Fenris. "That's what you called him, right?"

Fenris looks across at Daniel with his eyebrows lowered.

"It is." Daniel says. "You really wanna know how we met Kristjan?"

Fenris glares at Daniel, as Daniel uses his real name. Daniel meets his stare with a stare of his own.

"See a ring around here son?" Daniel says with a half smile. "In the ring, you might be Fenris, but this ain't a ring."

Daniel fully smiles at Fenris, before looking towards Despayre.

"It was her fault really." Daniel points a thumb towards Charlotte....

MIXED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
My fault? Are you having a laugh Danny? All I did was suggest a night out in London on a rare day where we didn't have a whole lot going on. In fact it was a pretty quiet day, not a whole lot going on at all. No casino, no pub, no clubs, no debt collection or "business" meetings. It was just gonna be one of those strange nights in Daniel has from time to time. Nothing special about it, just a night in. I saved you from that and in the mean time, got us to meet someone who has done a lot in a short time in SCW, and I don't mean piss off the roster...

How We Met This Nutter.

It was a cold, drizzly Saturday evening in London, clouds formed over the city with the intention of drowning many Londoners and tourists alike with a shower that could burst from the sky at any point and cause people to sing Singing In The Rain in unison. These were the kinda nights where it really wasn't worth going out in London, the attraction of the nightlife will still be there next week. Tonight just wasn't that night for Daniel, or Osbourne as both men sat inside Daniel apartment, watching a large screen television, with football on it. The Saturday evening game had kicked off and although neither man was a fan of the teams playing, it never stopped a football fan from watching.

Daniel's eyes were glued to the screen as a simple chance went begging for a team in blue, a simple tap in missed from four yards out brought a cringe to Daniel's face as he looks towards Osbourne.

"How'd he miss that?" Daniel asks rhetorically. "England international who can't finish for toffee. They wonder why we're absolutely wank in tournaments.... Because you start with jubs like that up top."

Osbourne could only nod in agreement with his boss, his facial expression not changing, but the pit of his stomach matching the cringe on Daniel's face. The two watch the replay back but a buzzer distracts the two. Osbourne rises to his feet and moves towards the intercom system.

"Bloody hell is that?" Daniel mutters to himself. "I ain't expecting anyone."

Daniel looks towards the door as Osbourne moves towards it, waiting patiently for a knock on the door. The knock comes and Osbourne opens the door, to see Charlotte standing at the door in a black dress, low cut at the top and short at the bottom. She walks in to the apartment, followed by Mackenzie, in a red dress and high heels. Osbourne points a finger at her, a smile breaking over his usual stone face, but Mackenzie looks towards him.

"Do not say a fucking word!" she growls. "Not a single fucking word!"

She storms past him, following Charlotte in to the living room as Osbourne shuts the door, a smile on his face as he walks in the room behind them. Daniel, dressed in just a pair of shorts and a T-shirt, turns to face the two women.

"Well don't you two look dapper." Daniel says as his eyes scan his two usually casual dressed enforcers. "Got a double date or something?"

Mackenzie sits down, kicking off her high heels, clearly uncomfortable wearing them and looks at Daniel.

"No." Mackenzie says quickly. "There was me sitting there about to watch a movie, with blood and guts everywhere and brains here turns up at my place and tells me to get dressed, so I put on some jeans, and get the no, get dressed classy bullshit stuff, next thing I know, she's throwing clothes all over my bed and picks this red monstrosity out."

Osbourne rejoins the group, sitting down next to Daniel and looking towards the disgruntled Mackenzie with a bigger smile on his face.

"Already warned you once, not a word." She snaps at the bigger man.

"Right..." Daniel says, trying to follow along with what going on. "And now you've showed up here, gonna throw my clothes all over the bed looking for another red dress or something?"

Daniel's joke cuts no ice with Mackenzie, but Charlotte intervenes.

"Not exactly." Charlotte says. "I was looking online for something to do tonight, because you lot were being boring, her with her movie, you two watching football and I didn't wanna sit around doing nothing, so I looked online and saw tickets for an EliteXL show right here in London tonight, so I thought Mackenzie was only gonna look at blood and guts on a screen, and you two were gonna sit here and complain about who was onside and who was offside, so I bought four tickets."

Osbourne shakes his head as he looks at her.

"I agree with the big man." Daniel tells her. "It's pissing down at there."

"We'll get a cab." Charlotte tells him. "I'll even pay for that too."

Osbourne looks at Daniel and points towards Mackenzie with a huge grin on his face.

"And Osbourne don't wanna be seen with the lady in red over there." Daniel says hiding a smile.

Osbourne nods his head and smiles at Mackenzie, proving Daniel's translation is right. Mackenzie points at Osbourne firmly.

"Last fucking warning." she tells him.

"I'll pay for the tickets too." Charlotte tells them. "And the drinks, cab fare, the lot. All you gotta do is dress yourselves up real smart."

Daniel looks at Osbourne, then back to the two women.

"You're a bit overdressed aren't ya?" Daniel says to them. "I mean most people turn up to these things in jeans, you two look like you're off to the Ritz for the night."

"I happened to get four front row tickets." Charlotte says proudly.

"At this time?" Daniel says surprised. "So close to the event?"

"You wouldn't wanna buy from row tickets at two hundred and fifty notes a pop, would ya?" Mackenzie tells the group.

Osbourne and Daniel look at each other in surprise before looking at Charlotte.

"You dropped a grand on tickets cause ya didn't wanna stay in?" Daniel says slowly.

"That and the fact she fancies the guy in the main event." Mackenzie tells Daniel.

"I do not!" Charlotte fires back "I just thought it would be nice to get out, and I know Daniel and Osbourne are fans of the fight game. I thought it would be a good thing."

Daniel stands up and looks towards the bigger Osbourne, tutting as he stands up.

"Well if she's gonna drop a grand on tickets...." He says to Osbourne.

The big man stands up, nodding his head slowly. Daniel looks toward Charlotte.

"Give us a few to get ready." He tells her, much to her delight.

Fast forward a little while to The Royal Albert Hall in London. The almost full venue has already seen some amazing fights, through out the weight classes, but the main event, the one the group, well mostly Charlotte has come to see, Kristjan "Fenris" Baltasarsson defending the EliteXL Light Heavyweight championship against London's very own Gunnar Daley.

"What's a Fenris anyway?" Daniel asks, now wearing a suit and tie, as is Osbourne.

"Must be an Icelandic word for something" Charlotte says.

Mackenzie pulls out her phone, quickly tapping away at the screen and looking down.

"Fenris in Icelandic means..." She says before looking towards Daniel. "...Fenris."

Daniel smiles as he slowly shakes his head.

"Why would he call himself a gimmick name in a real sport?" Daniel says to himself as he looks up at the cage, the referee pulling both men in to the center of the ring, talking to them both before sending them away to the opposite side of the ring. The referee checks the fighters readiness and calls for the bell.

Now it will be silly for me to give you a blow by blow account of what's going on, we're on a word lim... ummm, time constraints so let's summarize.

Round one starts lively, Gunnar not waiting to be invited to take shots as he jumps on the front foot, forcing Fenris towards the cage, throwing out three quick jabs, the first connecting, but Fenris avoiding the second two shots to the jaw and aims for the shoot takedown, but Gunnar turns his back to the cage, stopping Fenris from taking him to the ground and leaving his body open for shots to the ribs. A couple of minutes pass as Fenris tries to turn him and slam him but Gunnar holds firm. Eventually, the referee calls for the break and the two men return to the center of the ring. Gunnar throws a wild leg towards Fenris, who sidesteps and jumps in with a punch, grazing the side of Gunnar's head. Gunnar covers up as the referee calls for the end of the round.

"Grand well spent, eh?" Daniel says looking down at Charlotte.

Round two, Fenris fires out of the blocks, looking for the takedown, but Gunnar holds him off, stepping back. Fenris throws a right hand, connecting to the side of the head and sending a stunned Gunner backwards, opening up a small cut under his cheek. Gunnar holds his hands up high, blocking off the onslaught from Fenris, but catches the Iceland native with a counter punch, turning the tide of the fight, and sending Fenris backwards but can not capitalize on it as the bell rings.

Daniel stretches back in his chair, his mind clearly in thought.

Round three, Fenris charges out of the blocks and lifts Gunnar off his feet with a single legged takedown, but Gunnar wraps his legs around Fenris tight, stopping him from moving too much. Fenris lands two shot towards the side of Gunnar's head, catching him on the cheek and reopening the cut below his eye. Fenris tries to work his way in to a knee bar but gets kicked in the nose for his trouble, causing a trickle of blood to start falling from his nose as the referee calls for the bell.

"These seats should come with waiter service." Mackenzie comments as she looks at Charlotte but Charlotte's eyes are firmly on the cage.

Round four, and Fenris is in trouble as the bleeding nose slows the breathing and Gunnar takes full advantage, backing Fenris against the cage and hitting him with hard body shots. Fenris pushes Gunnar away and spins him in to the cage and unloads shots on him, a huge brawl ensuing, the fans finally getting their moneys worth. Both Fenris and Gunnar step towards each other both trying to pounce at the same time, but the men clash heads as the bell rings, opening up a cut above Fenris' eye. Fenris yells at the referee in Icelandic, pointing to the top of his head, claiming that was an intentional headbutt. Fenris screams at the referee as the referee forces him to back to his corner, what you can only think is expletives in his native tongue.

"He ain't looking happy." Daniel states.

Round five starts, Fenris still angry and yelling, causing him to throw wild punches in Gunnar's direction. Gunnar starts to pick Fenris off, targeting the cut above the eye caused by the clash of heads. Gunnar's stamina seems to be fading as he picks up the pace as the clock starts to count down, and throws a lazy right, but Fenris, vision blurred by his own blood, seems to see it coming and jumps up, wrapping his legs around Gunnar's arm and pulling him over in a unique cross armbreaker, bringing the crowd to their feet. Fenris reaches back and Gunnar taps out and the ref calls for the bell.

"Hmmmm" Daniel says thoughtfully, his mind clearly working on something through out the twenty five minute war.

Fenris keeps the armbreaker on after the bell for a few seconds, before the referee physically pulls him off.

Charlotte rises to her feet, clapping for Fenris, but the majority of the crowd boo after seeing their hometown boy lose. A man in a suit walks in the ring, yelling at Fenris.

"The fucks that?" Mackenzie asks Charlotte.

"The owner of  EliteXL." She tells her.

A heated debate between Fenris and the owner rages on as Fenris is handed back the title. Fenris grabs the title away from the referee and makes for the exit of the cage, forgoing the usual after fight interview. Daniel looks towards Osbourne.

"Is it me, or have we found the perfect heel here?" Daniel asks Osbourne. "And maybe a way to get back in to America?"

Osbourne nods his head as Daniel stands up and looks at the two women.

"Come on ladies, we've got a fighter to meet." He says to their surprise.

Daniel leads the group down the aisle, to where a young security guard stands near the ramp, leading towards the dressing room.

"Excuse me mate." Daniel starts. "Can you tell me how to get to the backstage area from here?"

"I'm sorry sir..." The young man says "You can only go back there if you have a backstage pass."

Daniel reaches in to his pocket, looking at the man with a smile and pulls out a money clip, pulling out a whole bundle of notes and reaches for a red one, a fifty pound note and slides it in to the mans top pocket.

"I think there's our backstage pass." Daniel tells the young man.

"It's right back there sir." The man says pointing, his mind clearly already spending the money that just made it to his pocket.

Daniel nods at the man.

"Good lad." He tells him, patting him on the shoulder as he and the group walk past.

The foursome walk towards where the man pointed and move through the crowd, reaching their destination, only to be met with a much bigger man. Daniel smiles at the man.

"Well, well, well. Terry Steele." Daniel says with a smile. "Well ain't this an upgrade on standing on pub and club doors waiting for some junkie to stick ya with something."

The man looks at the group nervously.

"Oh, Mr Morgan." He stumbles through his lips. "Nice to see you again."

"Likewise Terry." Daniel says. "Fancy seeing you here, the girls were just saying to me earlier that they had you on their list to come and see soon."

"I'm sorry I haven't paid you back." Terry says turning his head. "I've just been working, that's all to get your money. The money wasn't for me, it was for me mum's bills."

"Oh, I know Terry." Daniel says "And I hope the old girl is doing well now she's debt free, but here's where you lump it back."

Terry looks nervously at Daniel.

"I haven't got that kinda money on me." Terry tells his, his body language telling Daniel he's rather be swimming with great white sharks then be here.

"It's alright mate." Daniel tells him. "One hand greases the other as the saying goes. All you gotta do is open that door behind ya, look the other way for twenty seconds and we, like your debt, will be gone, just like that."

"You mean it?" Terry asks unsure if he should believe him.

"Every single word my old son..." Daniel tells him.

Back to the party at London Underground's new home, the crowd looking towards Charlotte, who just happened to be telling the story. Bet you thought it was Daniel, right? Suckers!

"And that's how we got backstage." Charlotte tells the group.

"Then what happened?" Despayre asks

"Probably a story for happy chops to tell." Daniel tells them all.

"But before you do." Mackenzie says. "Think I need a little air."

Mackenzie stands up and nods towards Charlotte, who stands up with her, the two making their way to the balcony where Daniel and Osbourne was a little earlier. The two step through the door.

"Well if the boys can stand out here and cut a promo." Charlotte says. "So can we."

Mackenzie nods in agreement.

"But is it really worth sitting here and wasting time talking about Claudia Seraphina?" Mackenzie muses. "I mean she couldn't take the time to sit here and talk about us, so why the fuck should we waste our time talking about her?"

"I see your point." Charlotte agrees. "She was never a danger coming in to this match anyway, so I ain't surprised she hasn't really piped up about anything, she knew she was out of her depth the second this match was signed and announced. Don't really expect her to pipe up this week either so nah."

"Ok, so fuck talking about her." Mackenzie says firmly. "Let's talk about little miss deluded first."

"Which one?" Charlotte asks "The two that did flap their gums are both deluded."

Mackenzie taps her chin.

"Good point but I was thinking Jessie." She says.

"Oh her." Charlotte says with a sigh. "Still beating that dead horse about speaking her mind. Her mind needs rebooting. Yes, you spoke your mind, but you also tried to steal someone else's thing. It's like dealing with a child. You went to sensitivity training because someone threatens to delete pokemon. Blimey."

"How fucking sad is that?" Mackenzie adds "And I don't mean sad is in loser like, I mean sad as in people like you is why the world is in a state. Fucking hell Jessie, do you need a safe space? A place where someone will hug you and tell you it's all gonna be ok? People like you Jessie is why the world has gone soft, pure soft. Threaten to take away a stupid little game designed for kids, and you pay for expensive therapy? And don't flatter yourself that you're in this match because you earned it, you're in it to make up the numbers, after this match, wouldn't be surprised if you was let go here and end up in that SCW lite place you call Honor."

"All that stuff you said about us Jessie." Charlotte says with a shrug. "We couldn't take it serious after we found out you had to go to a safe space with other people just cause someone was gonna take your toys away from you. It's funny, you don't expect us to last long? Hey Jessie, where's your partner at? I mean that guy that stuck up for you and got you in a team? Anyone heard from him? Nah, didn't think so, so your team is done and finished before it's even begun. By next week, you two won't even be a team, you only did it to try and get another shot at gold and you're gonna screw that up too. Not even worth coming up with a team name or anything else. We all know who's really done after Into The Void VII, cause you'll be demanding a single title shot. For the record, when we win the belts on Sunday, you can piss off. We will not be granting you a title match at all."

"Too fucking right." Mackenzie adds "Not even gonna consider it, staff added you here to make up the numbers, no one here takes you seriously. Some might say this is your last chance saloon Jessie, but to me, to the rest of the world, it's your no chance saloon."

"She may not even end up in this match." Charlotte says thoughtfully. "I mean her partner seems to be missing, so she may end up on the sidelines crying her eyes out or trying to collect imaginary creatures on her phone or something."

"That's more likely." Charlotte agrees. "Right, enough of talking about the child of the match. Amy Marshall."

"I love, love, loved the fact that Jessie had even pissed off Amy enough for Amy to finally cut ties with her." Mackenzie says with a smile on her face. "I mean it's been a long time coming to get away from her, dragging you down, making you looks stupid and one dimensional. I even enjoyed her saying that Jessie was entitled, she hit the nail right on the fucking head with that, I mean right down the middle, right on the head. I oddly kinda saw the humanitarian side in Amy. I saw she saw the light, but it doesn't mean that these titles that are up for grabs are gonna go to her."

"Oh they're not." Charlotte says "I mean you can't team for a few matches and think you have a good shot. We've spent most of our lives around each other, they've spent five minutes around each other. I mean it shows a lot if the best name you can come up with is The Country Punkins... Play on words but it's more of a the hell moment then one you can see on a name plate on a belt."

Mackenzie nods in agreement.

"It sums them up nicely though." Mackenzie adds. "A team that's been together for five minutes, comes up with a name that looks like it took them five minutes, they're gonna last for a whole five minutes, it does sum up laziness in Amy."

Charlotte looks at her partner confused.

"Whatcha mean?" Charlotte asks.

"Well Amy is so damn lazy, she don't even say our name that often, just to save time." Mackenzie says. "We're not LU, or L.U. We're fucking London Underground. Does it really take that much longer to say our names. She's speaking for fucks sake, she's not a secretary taking down short hand. If she too damn lazy to say our name, I can't imagine her putting in much effort in the ring. Her mind is just not with it. How the fuck is Wyatt the most underrated wrestler in this company? He's been back what? Two or three matches in a team, lost to a midget and he's underrated? Ummmm, ok Amy, time to take your meds."

"It's great that she sees us as the main threat." Charlotte says. "Because she's bang on about that, she knows the others ain't a damn thing on us. She seems to have her scouting done, or very much stating the obvious of the combos."

"Takes up air time." Mackenzie adds with a smile. "Makes things look a little longer than what they are."

"Maybe." Charlotte says with a shrug. "Also good she pointed out for us all the things she's good at, makes it even sweeter when we win. She shoulda just supported Daniel's tweet, because it would have saved us having Salco in this match."

"Also needs to learn what a freebird rule is." Mackenzie says firmly. "I don't care if it's me or you in the ring, we're both gonna be champions at the end of the night. She's giving us the rules like we don't know them, and thinks we haven't worked with the best two trainers in the world to perfect things."

Mackenzie rolls her eyes.

"Well, she's gonna be in for that familiar feeling by the end of this one." Charlotte says calmly. "Another night where Amy gets to have that feeling of losing to London Underground again, this time, she's bringing Wyatt along for the ride."

"Doesn't matter what two out of four of us it really is." Mackenzie starts. "The only history Amy Santino, Wyatt Peterson, Jessie Salco, Joshua Acquin, and The Seraphina's will make at Into The Void VII, will be on the wrong side. You'll be part of the history, but part of the history books as the teams that stepped up and failed to stop London Underground from becoming the first SCW Mixed Tag Team champions."

Charlotte looks deep in to the camera.

"Simply put..." She starts. "We don't lose."

The two women turn around and walk back in the house, rejoining the party as the camera fades.

MIXED TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Joshua walks through the curtain and takes Jessie to the trainer's room.  After making sure she is being attended to he walks out and goes into the hallway.

Joshua: Where did Amy and Wyatt go?  Anybody know.

Crew member: Mr. Acquin I think they have left the building.

At that time Pussy Willow comes up wanting to get an interview.

PW: Joshua I have a couple questions if you have the time.

Joshua looks down at his watch.

Joshua: Yes you can as the questions and it is 7:15 pm.

PW: Ladies and Gentlemen I am here with Joshua Acquin, Mr. Sin City.  This week you and Jessie Salco went out and made a case for the Mixed Tag Team Championships.  You stated there was no competition out there in SCW.  Then you had a new team respond.  That team being Amy and Wyatt.  Then to announce their teaming Amy blindsided Jessie with a Bad Girl. What ar…

Joshua cuts her off before she can say anymore.

Joshua:  My thoughts on Amy doing this?  She stabbed her friend in the back and also she never said anything to me about doing this.  Last I knew she wasn’t going to stick around.  But then she does this?  I know her quite well but even this took me for a loop.  I mean just a couple weeks ago she was training with me in my gym.  Now she has done this?  Has this ended our friendship?  That I don’t fully know yet.  She has some explaining to do.  I think I know why she has done this and I can’t blame her.  But I think if she would have talked to me about tagging and coming back to SCW it would have been better, but when you don’t say anything...Anyway, I think Amy will be seeing her error in judgment.  Anyway, I need to get out of here.

Joshua walks into the locker room to grab his gear and leave.

Las Vegas NV

Joshua is seen behind a podium with a logo on the front.  After waiting for people to fill in Joshua taps the microphone.

Joshua: Ladies and gentlemen it has been a few months since we have last spoken about my plans going forward with hockey and I have brought all off you here to go over what I plan on doing.  I have joined with some investors into launching the West Coast Hockey League, or WCHL for short.  This has been in the works for a few months and we have started to iron out the details but what I can share with you is that we will start next year.  We will be headquartered here in Las Vegas Nevada. We will be on the same level as the ECHL on the scale with us being a farm team below the AHL.  I have talked with some members wanting to come to the WCHL and we have talked to the ECHL as well and we are trying to make it easier on teams with the travel and not having to stay out away from home for up to two weeks at a time to save money.

Joshua has a screen that opens behind him showing the United States with dots on the map indicating where teams will be.

Joshua: Looking at this map you will see that the WCHL is covering the western United States.  We even have some current ECHL teams on the books for us next year.  That will ease the cost on teams as well as the leagues themselves.  What we have come up with for next season is that we will play separate from the ECHL but we will play a WCHL vs ECHL All-Star game, we will have the champions from the WCHL and ECHL face off after winning their league’s cup.

Joshua advances the slideshow and the screen now shows 16 logos.

Joshua: Now as you see here we will have 16 teams. They are split into two divisions North and South.  So in the North, the eight teams are Alaska Aces, Idaho Steelheads, Kansas City Mavericks, Rocky Mountain Rage, Rapid City Rush, San Francisco Bulls, Tacoma Sabercats, and Utah Grizzlies.  Now moving onto the South we have; Allen Americans, Arizona Sundogs, Houston Aeros, Las Vegas Wranglers, New Mexico Scorpions, Oklahoma City Blazers, Tulsa Oilers, and Wichita Thunder.

Joshua clicks the screen to the next slide where now the dots have been replaced with the logos and the map is focused on the states west of the Mississippi.

Joshua:  As you can see the teams are all over the west.  We put the teams like this so the teams help one another...  We have Arizona and New Mexico two non-traditional hockey areas and we have a team in each state that will cause a rivalry due to geographic location.  We have even encouraged the owners to create a thing to play over.  That will make it mean more and raise attendance.  Now enough of me talking without taking questions so please ask away.

Reporter: Mr. Acquin does all 16 teams make the playoff or how many will.

Joshua: Good question, only eight teams will make the playoffs.  We have to have something to play for and we have to limit four in the north and four in the south.

Reporter: Joshua has you got any of the awards named or planned out.

Joshua: We have some planned out but I am going to wait until we have that whole area planned out.

Reporter: Mr. Acquin at Into…

Joshua cuts the reporter off before he can finish the question.

Joshua: Are we here on SCW business right now?  No, we are on hockey business.  But I will humor you with this.  I am looking forward to tagging with Jessie against Amy due to her thinking she is a higher standard than everyone else.  Does she want to talk about how I am an average everyday wrestler, nothing special?  Yes, Amy, I am just average.  I may not make the Hall of Fame like you.  At the end of the day, I am fine with that I have come to terms with that.  Since Mister wants to ask a question not related to what we are talking about here, I am done and everyone will have to wait to ask any more question.

Joshua gets up and walks out of the room as reports try to ask more questions.

Posted on joshuaacquin.com:

So I would have to say I don’t care about the two other teams in this match as much as I care about Amy and Wyatt.  This whole mixed tag team has broken up old tag teams such as Amy and Jessie.  It may not seem too big to most people but look, Amy is a Grand Slam Champion.  That requires her to get the Bombshell Tag Team Championship.  Sure she had one reign before teaming up with Jessie and making The Metal and Punk Connection.  Jessie validated Amy and made her tag team run mean something more than a seven-day reign she had before.  Seven days, wow I thought one-month reigns Amy had were a bad look at that barely a week as a champion.  I think we need to get a timestamp to see if she made it the full seven days.  Face it, Amy, Jessie was the one who carried the most, figurative,  weight in your tag team.  Just like in actual weight Wyatt is doing the same for you.  In order to have any run that is longer than a month you need someone else to help you.

As for Wyatt, I can see you had one reign as SCW Tag Team Champion, but you lost it at the first step.  You are perfect for Amy.  She can only hold a title for a month at a time and then someone who is better than she comes and takes care of business and takes the title right off of her waist.  Jessie has been one of those people.  I am going to give you a good warning about Amy.  Right now she needs you to carry her to the championship.  She needed Jessie to do the same and when they retired the Bombshell Tag Team Championship, well here we are today where she stabbed Jessie in the back leaving her like I can say she will leave you if they ever split the championships up again and be crawling back to Jessie.  Please take me back I am sorry for stabbing you in the back Jessie.  Mark my words it will happen to you.

London Underground, I have to give you the credit you have taken this Freebird rule and used it to your advantage and I tip my hat to you.  I wouldn’t be surprised if you weasel your way into getting Christian and Mark to somehow let all four of you compete doing the Freebird during the match.e paid off so don’t forget your money clip because you love to bribe your way into areas and VIP sections.  But then again that is how some deals can be done cold hard cash or pounds in your case.  But as close-knit as you four are something will give.  One of you will be more popular or hated than the others.  Then big heads come into play and so and so is better than so and so.  Then finally poof the London Underground goes back to referring to the Tube system in London.  You are all great when you are teamed Bombshells and men but mixed is a different story.  I would give you some credit if you came and took time to do the Blast From the Past, so you could see how it is.

I look back in the matches I have been in at Into the Void and it was at this event back in 2014 where I won my first gold here in SCW.  So will this year will I be the first Mixed Tag Team Champion.  It would be great when I am the first champion for this new title.  I am used to being in the match to crown the first champion here in SCW.  I was in the first match to decide the very first SCW Internet Champion.  Now I am here to decide the first Mixed Tag Team Champion.

Now I have been called out for supporting a racist.  I would like to say that Jessie herself is not a racist.  She was caught up in the moment during a match and was frustrated about the outcome.  Granted she could have taken a couple minutes to collect her thoughts before she spoke but sometime life comes at you fast and you don’t have that time to think.  I want you to think back to yourselves and tell me you never had a lapse in judgment.  No one is perfect everyone is flawed and people are protected by the first amendment to the US Constitution.  But people forget about that because it goes against what they think.  People nowadays need to grow a backbone.  Be bold, don’t spend your life trying to find the nearest safe space.  Fucking millennials have this country looking for safe spaces all over.  They think it is unfair that the person they voted on didn’t win.  They think the electoral college is stupid and outdated.  Read up on it, it is to ensure everyone vote counts.  Because let's be honest people in the city could care less about people living on the farms and they tend to have different views.  I have been asked to run for office, and each time I have to say no because my views are not with most people here in Las Vegas.  Before people go on and say I am racist let me tell you I hire people from other countries here to have the American dream happen.  Some are high up the ladder and I have one that is on the executive board.

Joshua is seen lifting weights in his home gym when his brother walks in.

Austin: Joshua you didn’t know what Amy was doing at Climax Control?

Joshua: I saw her in the back but didn’t think anything of it.  Thought she was there just to visit as others have done.

Austin: So she not only blindsided you but Jessie as well.

Joshua: Yeah she did.  But I think it was bound to happen with them going to the mixed tag.  Amy was using Jessie to get the tag team championships and when they did the mixed teams she has no use for her.

Austin: So where’s that put Amy being your friend?

Joshua: Right now I don’t know.  She has been so close to me for years and for her to do this I don’t know.  She hasn’t messaged me or anything.  Could be she is trying to limit any distractions preparing for this match.  Which I should be getting ready for as well.

Joshua goes back to lifting weights as Austin watches on as a spotter.

-------------

Motorhead’s Born to Raise Hell blast over the PA system as fans boo as Joshua walks out from the back and soaks in all the boos as he walks down to the ring.  As he walks up the stairs to the ring he has to duck to avoid an object thrown by a fan.

Joshua: You guys can boo all you want.  But you make me sick, at the last Climax Control my partner Jessie Salco was attacked from behind and you cheered that happened to her.  You were cheering for the break up of a friendship between Jessie and Amy.  On top of that, we were not handed the Mixed Tag Team Championship.  No Christian and Mark decided to put us in a fatal four way with one team claiming to be able to use the Freebird rule.  I think there are two teams Jessie and I need to worry about.

Joshua walks around the ring before speaking again.

Joshua: One team is Amy and Wyatt, I am a good friend I would like to think with Amy.  She wants to say she is changes her wrestling style, but you have to remember that I am one of the people that trains with you.  So yes you change your style but I know you better than you think I do.  Then you go and pick up your partner Wyatt, I hope you are happy with that.  I have seen flashes out of the few matches I have seen of his here in SCW.  Amy you are a Hall of Famer on just being a Grand Slam Champion.  But it seems like I am saying congrats and a month later I am seeing you lose the Championship at the first hurdle.  Also it seems like you have issues with Jessie in matches.  Whenever you went one on one with her you ended up on your back.  But you are used to that position with your side job.  Oh that’s right you have stopped that a few years ago, now you are the one directing the movies now.  That business is just like the wrestling business you never fully retire.  I bet if I could reach the curiosity to search Google for those movie I could probably find some new ones of you.  But that doesn’t peak my interest, as I still see you as a friend and that to me is disrespectful to look that up.  I see you as my sister, that’s another reason.  But I will say this you took me by surprise when you turned Jessie around and gave her a Bad Girl here in the middle of this ring.  I couldn’t believe my eyes when you did that.  I thought you two were close.  Hell backstage you two were always hanging out couldn’t be separated most times.

Joshua thinks for a second.

Joshua: Team number two is the London Underground.  I have to give them their due respect.  They are tag team champions until SCW closed the door for the first time.  Each one of them has their strengths being it technical or brawler.  I have had my run-in with the male London Underground team.  That is why I have them as a real challenge in the match.  They know how to work as a team, they held both the men’s and the bombshell’s version of the tag championships for a combined roughly 10 months.  That is why I have them as a top team in this match.  First, we don’t know what combination we are facing.  Second, they all have been tag team champions, they know how to work together.

Joshua walks around more.

Joshua: The last team I am not even worried about it seems like they just threw it together.  So at Into the Void, it will be one hell of a match between three teams were the fourth will bring it down and lose.  We will see who wins at Into the Void.

(Hey guys, I’m sorry, I’m just posting something short. I’m having health issues right now.)

Maxim: You know, it’s been a struggle to live in our world.

Claudia: You all aren’t really ready for us. We’re the new people and you guys, need to watch out.

Maxim: When people hear the name Seraphina, it scares them. I can’t help but to laugh at that. So when this match happens, we’re going to show everyone why we’re ready.

Claudia: I’m rolling my eyes at everyone’s talk.

Maxim: Good luck everyone.

OOC: Use of Trish approved by the handler.

Claudia and Maxim Seraphina... are you guys coming out to play or hide away like little bitches? I'm guessing hide away because at this rate the battle is between London Underground and The Country Punkins. You have so far wasted your chance to get on top by saying nothing and although I am a little disappointed that i wanted a fight... i am kind of glad you are sitting on your asses because it would be so much easier for Wyatt and me. I must make an apology though about having no clue who Claudia is. I found her roster profile and while the list of moves is impressive... she and Maxim have disappointed everyone and again they do not have a chance in hell in winning.

22nd May 2018
Hard Knocks Muay Thai Kickboxing.
Las Vegas, NV.

The scene opens inside one of Amy’s favourite places in Vegas – Hard Knocks muay Thai kick boxing.  The past few times she had Jessie and Kate with her training, but unfortunately with the current situation between two of the three… it would end up in an actual fight that would need police breaking it up and the management of the place banning everyone from coming in again.

The gym was fairly busy for a Tuesday afternoon, where much if the room was taken up by people doubling up with one person on pads before changing it up. However, for Amy she was alone, but she preferred that as she punches and kicks the heavy bag in front of her as she begins to speak during her kicks and punches.

You ask me what has gotten into me... but more like whats gotten into you. Obviously, the woman i know has changed. You have zeroed in on wanting gold so badly that that you don’t even care about your own wrestling career nor the fact that you are making a complete idiot of yourself. Shane and Jake say nothing, but they don't want to fall out with you. Jake and Shane deep down are also embarrassed... they are trying to help but your head is so far stick up your own ass that you don't see it.

Amy knees the heavy bag several times with force before stepping back and hitting a spinning back kick.  Amy stretches a little before hitting another just for more practice.

]And this whole thing just shows you are simply jealous that the #BenDeservesBetter "fad" has got more attention than your own campaign of attempting to get any title shot. It’s just simply embarrassing and i just had to stop it.

Amy stops and shakes her head before continuing, as she just begins to punch the heavy bag with various combinations.

I was happy to call you a friend but this whole vendetta against the management, against Ben, against Parand is just embarrassing. And this Sunday myself or London Underground will put you and your foot stomping hissy fit to an end. No more Jessie demanding things that you shouldn’t be getting but just having to just shut up and wrestle or just go away for a while to contemplate what you have become.

You will thank everyone later for this.

Amy finishes off the sentence punctuated with several hard kicks, knee and fists.  Amy stops and back away and grabs a bottle of water and takes a sip.  Refreshing herself as she wipes the sweat from her forehead.  Amy then forward and stretches again before continuing her Muay Thai workout.  The scene soon fades out on those around Amy working out.

24th May 2018
Las Vegas, NV
Valley of Fire State Park.

\'user

The scene opens in the Valley of Fire State Park, where the hot midday sun beams down on the burnt orange rocks and the white stone and sand.  The Valley of Fire State Park was 49 miles outside Las Vegas and took about an hour to get to the park, however, it is worth it due to the views and the weird and wonderful rock formations and the colors that stand out.   The camera scans the surrounding area, where we see Amy Santino sitting soaking in the hot sun and the beautiful scenery.  A gentle cough and footsteps momentarily shifts Amy’s attention as she looks over her should to see a 5’3” brunette.

Amy: Trish.

Amy looks up and smiles at her sister.

Trish: This is something a little bit different.

Trish shrugs and takes a few steps before sitting down next to Amy.

Amy: I just wanted to get away from the Last Vegas and to be honest of all the years I’ve been in Vegas, I never visited this place.

Amy said with a shrug.

Trish: And you thought it would be a good time now.

Amy: Yup, if you didn’t mind, plus there is a little history to this place.

Amy queried as Trish chuckled a little.

Trish: I don’t mind and lots here but I’m not going to give a history lesson.  So whats up?

Trish queried on Amy’s motives.

Amy: I heard you were in Vegas with 4CW and it’s been a while since I last saw you.  How is the wife and kids?

Amy asked.

Trish: Yeah good… kiddies growing up quickly.  How is married life treating you 5 months on?

Trish asked as she shifted herself a little before opening a bottle of water to sip on.

Amy:  Good thanks… marriage and he are perfect.  He has moved on from his placement to a new one in LA.

Trish: That’s bit of a mission to travel from and too.

Amy: Nah… he is going to do what I do. Work three or four days and spend the rest of the week home.

Trish: I guess it worked perfect for you. Glad to see everything going well.

Amy: Thanks.  So when is your next match?

Amy queried changing the subject.

Trish: 6th June in LA in a four-way match.  How about you?

Trish asks.

Amy: This weekend actually… I thought you kept an eye on SCW?

Trish: Well sort of…

Trish gives a vague answer…

Amy: Oh…. Well I have a match this week end… tag team match for a new set of titles in SCW.

Trish: New?

Amy: Yeah they scrapped the male and bombshell tag team titles and created the Mixed Tag Team Championship.

Trish: So who have you been stuck with?

Amy: Actually not stuck but it’s myself and Wyatt Peterson. We are up against Maxim and Claudia Seraphina, London Underground and Jessie Salco and Joshua Acquin.

Amy explained.

Trish: Barely heard any of these people… but you and Wyatt… why not Jamie Deen or Joshua?

Trish again queried.

Amy: Jamie is focused on his shelter and not sure what he is going with his career… as for Joshua long story.

Amy says with a shake of her head.

Trish: We have time…

Trish looked around.

Amy: The short version… Jessie is making an ass of herself along with Joshua and they demand the mixed tag titles. Long story… I threw away two friendships after I attacked Jessie and aligned myself with Wyatt and we are now challenging for the mixed tag team titles.

Trish raises an eyebrow…

Trish: Wow… that is messy.

Amy: Tell me about it. But you know what… if it shuts Jessie up and stops her making an ass of herself and I get gold from this then it’s all good.

Amy smiles.

Trish: Well things sound interesting in SCW.

Amy: Certainly are.

Amy leaves back for a moment as she wipes some hair from her face, as she wonders about coming out here in the future for a run or maybe to do yoga in this beautiful place.

Trish: Do you want to move on from here? I think Overton is too far away from here.

Trish suggested.

Amy: Sure. It’s getting too warm for me.  I think we should have met up earlier or when it cooled down.

Amy stood to her feet, as Trish followed suit.

Amy brushes some dust away from her clothing as she and Trish turn and make their way down the rocky footpath to where she and Trish parked their hire cars.  Jumping in their cars they headed toward the nearest town.  The scene soon fades out on the two cars in a dusty haze.

And the award for lack of continuity and hypocrisy goes to London Underground. It’s funny... myself and Wyatt thought that the Country Punkins was original and all that but when the name is criticised for being pretty much shit and a little bit lazy... you begin to wonder who came up with the name of the London Underground.

Four Londoners... gee lets called ourselves after the London Underground.... a fucking train network. Congratulations on the total originality their guys. Was London Bridge or Tea and Crumpets taken or something or they were not original enough for you.

You fucking bunch of morons... accuse me of being lazy when i opted to call you LU. I now know it pisses you right off.

And while we are clearing up things.... I don’t star in movies any more... I run a god damned business... but oh no once a porn star always a porn star on her fucking back with her legs akimbo. You are just like everyone else... just sheep when it comes to name calling... go ahead if it makes you feel better. tell me go get tested or tell me that i am whore or slut.

I’ve heard all that bullshit before and just like you... it’s boring.

But thing is I’m not boring nor lazy... I am unique... everyone is different. Not everyone wants to hear you drone on and on about the stupid Free bird rule or whatever and have a random appearance from A hall of gamer or a teddy bear hugging weirdo. I do what the hell i like when i like... i don’t care if you think my promos are the same or have a random flashback from a match... this is me and this is how i work.

If you don’t like it then don’t watch my promos simply as. I’m quite happy not watching yours.

As for my wrestling.... Again, no fucks given about my style of wrestle or what my intensions are. At the end of the day we are all here to win... and be at the top of the division and to do that you have to win gold and cement your name in the history books. Know that you are the best of the best.... so, what if i want add gold to my collection. This is how i work and wrestle and you know what... at times i may have had it easy but other times.... it wasn’t easy. Roxi Johnson was a hard battle... defeating Delia fucking Darling was hard. Hell, my battles against Mercedes Vargas haven’t been easy over the years.

So go ahead... criticise how i easy i have it when you know fuck all about singles wrestling or even won nothing other than tag team gold. That’s all you bitches will ever be... tag team wrestlers nothing else.

Sunday night.... I will show you that I am to be feared and that I am not a lazy joke you make me out to be. Sunday night Wyatt and I will exploit your weakness of unfamiliar tag team partners... Sunday night we will walk away champions.

RP Title: “Get your facts straight!”

Into the Void VII was this weekend and the tandem of Jessie Salco and Joshua Acquin had a lot to prove heading into the event as they were one of four teams competing for the newly created Mixed Tag Team Titles, their opponents? Claudia and Maxim Seraphina who, despite being second generation wrestlers and the offspring of Lucy Seraphina, had been strangely quiet since the match was announced, London Underground who felt that they, being the last teams to hold the Tag Titles before SCW closed its doors, should have been awarded the titles outright and Amy Marshall and Wyatt Peterson and for Jessie her beef with the last team was personal as Amy turned her back on her close friend, Josh has been strangely quiet as well but can Jessie and Josh win?

There’s one question that I’ve been asked as of late, do I regret speaking my mind on a certain topic several weeks ago?

Nope, not at all.

And yeah, unless you’ve been living under a rock since SCW came back you know exactly what I’m talking about and to think, it all started when a guy who’s older than me stated complaining.

And yet, when I start complaining people tell me to shut up, I guess the double standard is there because Ben’s a legend or something but the main complaint people have had against me, aside from “demanding” title shots that I’ve been owed for staying loyal to this fucking company, is that I threw away a friendship just to get ahead, I’m not going into to much detail just yet but all I’m going to say is get your facts straight!

And no, that wasn’t only directed at Amy!

I had my sensitivity training yesterday and I won’t be cruel enough to drag another camera crew to one of those snooze fests again so today I’m just working out in preparation for my title match on Sunday and any potential confrontation with Parand Ara because last I heard, she checked herself out of the hospital she was stuck in following my attack on her at the last Climax Control earlier this week and she hasn’t been seen since, hell I’m pretty sure the only reason she hasn’t attacked me whilst I’m out and about is because she knows that I’m expecting it now!

And if Mark had shown just a little bit of common sense, he wouldn’t have hired her back but what do I know? He’s only the guy who brought in maniacs like The Iron Maidens and Anthrax!

“So, Jess, any regrets?” See, what did I tell you? Only this time the question’s being asked by my husband Shane. “I mean, Amy was your closest friend in the business and you flushed it down the toilet in one promo.”

“Not my fault that she’s jealous of all the opportunity’s I’ve gotten, besides she’s hardly in a position to talk about underserved shots when the only reason she’s a former World Bombshell Champion in the first place is because she won a damn lottery!” I responded as I rolled my eyes and Shane shook his head in response, I was doing some bench presses with his help whilst Jake was on the hand weights. “Besides, if she was as bitter as she appears to be then so did a really good job of hiding it these past few months!”

“I know but still, if you wanted to get your name back in the spotlight I can think of better ways to do it than burning every bridge you’ve built in SCW AND nearly causing an international incident.” Shane responded, and I rolled my eyes again as I did another press. “And if you say that that attack was unprovoked again I’m going to scream.”

“That attack was unprovoked!” I responded and sure enough Shane let out a death metal scream, fortunately there weren’t that many people in the gym at this hour, so he didn’t startle that many people outside of the personal trainers. “It’s not my fault that Parand can’t handle the truth!”

“And considering how close you were to getting fired after your original comments on the matter, I’m strongly advising you to change the subject whilst you have a camera on you.” Jake responded, and I frowned before admitting that he had a point and switching places with Shane. “Maybe at some point you’ll be able to rebuild those burnt bridges, but I wouldn’t hold your breath on that, if anything you should be more focused on the Mixed Tag Title Match and your upcoming Legacy Championship Match at Honor Wrestling!”

“Believe me, I am, but until I know who I’m facing for the Legacy Championship I can’t really prepare for that match.” I pointed out and Jake nodded in agreement. “Hell the most preparation I’ve done for Honor Wrestling is for the Tag Match between me and Alicia Lukas and the Kawaii Dragons.”

“Speaking of Alicia, was she able to get tickets for the show?” Shane asked, and I shook my head in response.

“There were tickets left but we’re talking about nosebleed sections here, she’d be about as far from the ring as possible whilst still being in the arena.” I responded with a shrug as I watched my husband press some weights. “I did consider bringing her backstage as a guest, but I need to get Mark and Christian’s permission for that and they are about as likely to jump off a cliff as they are to listen to any wrestling related question I have.”

“Gee, its almost like burning every bridge you’re built was a bad idea.” Jake responded as he rolled his eyes and I shook my head before I realized the time. “Off to do your promo?”

“You know it.” I responded as I turned to my brother. “Mind taking over for me? Don’t think I’d be able to focus on both the trash talk and keeping an eye on Shane.”

“Sure, just send up a text when your done.” Jake responded as he set the hand weight down and I walked off whilst he picked up where I had just left off, once I had found a quiet spot in the gym I got ready to do my promo.

“A couple of years ago, I was pissed that Exodus had fired Rob Dukes and brought back their worst vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza until Jake pointed out that, given how cutthroat the music business is, sometimes you’ve gotta be selfish to get ahead, why am I bringing this up? Simple, I’m applying the same logic to the wrestling business, I tried being the nice girl and sitting back whilst other wrestlers got placed in front of me for title shots but as the Alice Cooper song goes, No More Mr. Nice Guy! What I’m basically saying is that given how cutthroat this business is I’m surprised that people are jumping all over me for flushing a friendship down the toilet, especially when Amy did the same thing at the last Climax Control and this Sunday London Underground, The Seraphinas and Amy and Wyatt are going to find out how cutthroat I can be!”

Guess who I’m starting with?

“Am I still pissed at Amy for attacking me at Climax Control? What do you think? I haven’t even watched her promos for the match because I was just that angry! And don’t even get me started on her putting words in my mouth on Twitter by claiming that I called the Mixed Tag Titles a fad when in reality I called #BenDeservesBetter a fad and no, I still haven’t changed my mind on that, as for those “underserved shots”, well, isn’t the only reason why you’re a grand slam champ on the first place because you won a fucking lottery? I rest my case but not before saying this, Amy, and this goes for you too Wyatt, get your facts straight before you blast me on Twitter for letting your jealousy blind you to the fact that I earned those shots through years of hard work!”

Something my next opponents can’t say.

“Bet you thought I had forgotten about you guys, huh London Underground? And you know, I can’t help but find it fucking hysterical that your manager was calling me out on Twitter for “demanding” title shots when he was the one saying that the London Underground should be awarded the tag titles just because they were the final tag team champs of the Bombshell and Man’s divisions, all I can say is that Daniel J Morgan would make a great politician because he’s a full of shit hypocrite and I can’t wait to see his face when me and Josh win!”

Finally, the Seraphinas!

“Holy shit, the Seraphinas actually said something! Only problem was that it was so short that whilst I went for a bathroom break during the opening moments of the promo, I missed the whole thing! So much for continuing your mother’s legacy, huh kids? Actually, you are in a way because like your mother you’ll always be second best and what better way to prove that by beating the two of you in this Mixed Tag Team Title Match!?”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“So, to recap, Amy’s bitter and can’t get her facts straight, Daniel J Morgan is so hypocritical people are mistaking him for Donald Trump and The Seraphinas apparently prefer to be the strong, silent types, too bad that I’m not going to sit here and let them beat me that easily huh? I said last week that I plan to move on to bigger and better things and once everyone comes to their senses and realize that #BenDeservesBetter is just a fad by an aging star maybe they’ll realize that I was right all along! This is the Heavy Metal Angel Jessie Salco signing off, see you idiots in the ring!”

I returned to my male companions as the scene fades.

The scene opens inside of Wyatt Peterson’s childhood bedroom. Not much has changed since Wyatt lived here back in high school. A twin sized bed is the centerpiece of the room. It’s adorned with a comforter that is the color of faded leather and two pillows encased in similar colored fabric. The bedroom has the other basics that you will find in most bedrooms; a nightstand with an alarm clock on it, a dark brown colored four drawer dresser, and a poster of Shania Twain hanging over the bed. Okay, maybe that last one isn’t in most bedrooms, but a boy is bound to have a celebrity crush. Wyatt is currently sitting upright at the head of the bed with his legs stretched out in front of him. In his lap is an open laptop computer.

Wyatt: Ah think me an' Ms. Amy are gonn need tah speak a bit in private. Please excuse us, Mistah Underwood.

Wyatt disconnects from the video call that he was just on with Sin City Wrestling Co-Owner Christian Underwood and his Blast from the Past tag team partner Amy Santino. Wyatt sets the computer onto the bed and swings his legs over the side of the bed before standing up. Wyatt reached both arms straight above his head with a stretch, pushing up on the ceiling to provide his muscles some resistance. He grabs his chin with one hand and places the other hand on his head. With a sudden move, Wyatt cracks his neck before sitting back on the bed and grabbing the laptop again. With a few clicks, he is back on a video call, this time with just Amy.

Wyatt: Howdy, Amy. Sorry if ah backed ya into a corner with Christian. Ah’ve been through a lot in the last day or so an’, on top of havin’ a hangover, ah ain’t thinkin’ too straight.

Amy: No, you didn’t back me into a corner. It just made me have to finally decide what to do about my SCW future.

Wyatt: Ya know… ya don’ hafta do it if ya don’ wanna. Ah won’t be mad.

Amy: The decision has been made. I’m not turning back now.

Wyatt: Good, cuz last night ah promised Butternuts that ah was gonna do somethin’ with mahself in SCW.

Amy cocks an eyebrow in confusion.

Amy: Butternuts?

Wyatt: Oh, ah’m sorry. Butternuts is mah horse. Well… he WAS mah horse. He… he passed away las’ night.

Wyatt hangs his head down as he fights back the tears that he can feel starting to well up. He shed enough tears last night. He didn’t want to do it now, not in front of a lady that wasn’t named “Maw”.

Amy: Is that why you’ve had a rough couple of days? I’m so sorry, Wyatt.

Wyatt drags his arm across his face to wipe away any potential signs of crying before he looks back at the computer.

Wyatt: It’s alright. He was an old horse. Ah shoulda seen it comin’, but nobody wants tah admit when their friend is dyin’.

Amy nods in agreement.

Amy: Well, should we take your mind off of it? I like the name you came up with for us.

Wyatt: The Country Punkins? Ah was bouncin’ names off o’ Tom an’ that was the best one we came up with. Tom’s always been fond of word play.

Amy: It’s good. Now we can officially enter into the fray for the Mixed Tag Team titles. All I’ve seen so far has been Jessie Salco and Joshua Acquin saying they want a shot at them. There’s no real competition yet. We can go to Climax Control this week and make a statement. That will set us up as a legitimate contender for the titles.

Wyatt rubs his chin as he considers Amy’s proposition. After a couple of seconds, he nods in agreement.

Wyatt: Ah like it. Ah’ve gotta take care of a few things fer Butternuts ‘round here before ah can head tah Vegas. Ah’ll definitely meet ya there on Sunday though.

Amy: Good. I’m actually getting kind of excited for this.

Wyatt: Me too.

Amy: We’ve got our name. We’ve got a plan to debut as an official team. Now we need to figure out what our entrance music is going to be.

Wyatt gets excited.

Wyatt: Ah’ve got this one. Hold on.

Wyatt leans over and grabs his cell phone off of the nightstand.

Wyatt: Ah was messin’ ‘round with this while drinkin’ las’ night.

Wyatt pushes a couple of buttons on his screen and holds his phone out so Amy can hear the song. Amy leans in to listen.

Amy: I don’t hear anything.

Wyatt looks at his phone and pokes at it annoyed.

Wyatt: Ah know. It don’ work too good ‘round these parts. It’s takin’ forever tah buffer.

The song “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks suddenly starts coming from the phone’s speakers, slightly startling Wyatt. After a few seconds, Amy starts shaking her head. Wyatt stops the song.

Wyatt: Ya don’t like that one?

Amy: It’s a little too much… I don’t know… country.

Wyatt nods in understanding.

Wyatt: Alright. Ah can see where you’re comin’ from there. How ‘bout this one?

Wyatt pushes another button on his phone and “The Thunder Rolls” by Garth Brooks starts playing. Amy immediately makes a face of dislike.

Wyatt: Ya gotta let it git to the chorus tah fall in love with it.

Wyatt lets the song play for about a minute as he closes his eyes and bobs his head with the music while mouthing the words. After the chorus, he opens his eyes to see Amy just watching him in amusement. Wyatt stops the music.

Wyatt: Ah’m startin’ tah think that ya got a problem with Garth Brooks.

Amy: It’s not him that I’ve got a problem with, it’s his songs. They don’t scream out ‘here come The Country Punkins’.

Wyatt: Well if you gotta somethin’ better, ah’d love tah hear it.

Amy: Okay then.

Amy reaches off screen and comes back with her cell phone.

Amy: We should come out to something more like this.

Amy pushes a button and “Blitzkrieg Bop” by The Ramones immediately starts coming through the speakers. Wyatt turns his head so his left ear is closer to the laptop as he takes in the music. As it goes on, Wyatt starts bobbing his head with it. After about a minute or so, Amy stops the song.

Amy: What do you think?

Wyatt: Ah think that’s catchy as hell, but ah’m not sure it really fits mah style any.

Amy: I can see why you’d think that, but, like you said, it’s catchy. The crowd would love it and it just gets you so pumped.

Wyatt grimaces to show his dislike.

Amy: Okay. Let me see if I can find one that fits you a little bit more.

Amy runs her finger up her phone’s screen as she searches her playlist for a match.

Amy: Got it! Since you like to partake in… libations… I think this one fits you. It’s called “Too Drunk to…” well… you’ll figure it out.

Amy taps her screen and “Too Drunk to F*ck” by Dead Kennedys starts to play. She lets it play for about half of a minute before she notices the look on Wyatt’s face and turns it off.

Wyatt: That one was jus’ kinda weird soundin’.

Amy: Hmm… it seems like this is going to be harder than I thought.

Both of them sit there in silence for about twenty seconds as they furrow their brows in thought.

Amy: Okay, I might have an idea. I remember some telling me about something called cowpunk or punkabilly. It’s supposed to be a hybrid of punk and country music. Let me google it real quick.

Amy pushes some buttons on her phone and scrolls through the search results.

Amy: Well, it looks like it’s a real thing. This one is called “Happy Ignorant People” by a band called the Barnyard Brawlers. Let’s see how bad this is.

Amy clicks on the link and “Happy Ignorant People” starts to play. Both Amy and Wyatt raise their eyebrows in surprise as the song really isn’t as bad as either one of them expected. They let the song play all the way through before either one of them speaks.

Wyatt: Ah can say that ah hated it, but ah’d be lyin’.

Amy: It was a whole lot better than I was expecting.

Wyatt: Ah think it was a perdy perfect blend o’ country an’ punk rock. Ah say we use it.

Amy nods in agreement.

Amy: It checks all of the boxes for me. I’ll send it over to the office along with the rest of our information.

Wyatt: Thank you, Ms. Amy. Ah appreciate you teamin’ with me. Ah promise ah won’t let you down again.

Amy smirks.

Amy: I’m not worried about you letting me down. We’re going to be unstoppable together.

Wyatt: Ah agree.

From downstairs, Wyatt’s mother calls out to him.

Mrs. Peterson: Wyatt, honey, supper is ready!

Wyatt: Ah’d better go. Ah don’t want mah supper tah get cold. Maw made meatloaf, mah favorite.

Amy chuckles.

Amy: I’ll see you on Sunday… partner.

Wyatt flashes Amy a smile.

Wyatt: Ah’ll see ya, pardner.

The video call is disconnected and Wyatt closes the laptop.

Mrs. Peterson: Wyatt?!

Wyatt: Ah’m comin’, Maw!

Wyatt tosses the laptop onto the bed and stands up. He stretches his legs and opens his bedroom door. He takes a whiff of the aroma coming from downstairs.

Wyatt: Mmm… that smells tasty!

Wyatt walks out of the room and jogs down the stairs to join his mother for dinner as the scene fades.

May 27, 2018
Gold Coast Casino
Las Vegas, Nevada</font color>

The scene opens in the living room area of one of the suites at the Gold Coast Casino’s hotel, home of tonight’s Into The Void VII. Seated on the beige couch are “Big Country” Wyatt Peterson and his manager, and friend, Tom Dudely. They each are holding a controller to a Playstation 4 and are in the middle of a very intense game of Madden 2018 on a television that is behind the camera. Wyatt suddenly throws both hands up in the air in celebration.

Wyatt: BOOM! Ah just did to you what ah’m gonna do to them other guys in mah match tonight.

Tom turns slightly and looks at Wyatt sideways with an eyebrow raised.

Tom: You’re going to throw a bootleg pass to Ezekiel Elliot?

Wyatt guffaws.

Tom: In all seriousness though, have you seen the promos these guys have been putting out there?

Wyatt: Hold on. Lemme kickoff first.

Wyatt and Tom start pushing buttons on the controller. Tom shifts his whole body to the right as if it makes a difference on the game. After just a few seconds, the play is over and they stop button mashing.

Wyatt: Ah’ve seen a few of their promos. Seems like most of ‘em have been comin’ from the London Underground guys. T’wasn’t ‘til a couple days ago that ah seen somethin’ from the Seraphinas an’ Joshua Acquin.

They shift their focus to the game and start pushing buttons again.

Tom: They’ve put a lot of stuff out there. What are you gonna say in response?

Wyatt: What am ah supposed tah say? Ah mean, it ain’t like their talk is gonna mean anythin’ once we’re in the ring.

Tom: True, but that Maxim Seraphina guy is an assassin or something. Doesn’t that worry you?

Wyatt sticks his tongue out and blows a raspberry.

Wyatt: What the hell is that supposed tah mean? Ah’m perdy sure he’s never killed anyone in the ring. Why should ah even be worried about that?

Tom shrugs.

Tom: I don’t know. Maybe he’s really well trained in hand to hand combat or something. I’ve never watched one of his matches so I don’t know. I’m just trying to think outside of the box a little.

Wyatt: Well that’s a box that jus’ needs tah be kept shut. The Seraphinas are a non-issue in this match. Ah probably shouldn’t even waste mah time addressin’ their promo.

Tom: You should never discount an opponent. I thought you would have learned that lesson when you got pinned by someone half your size a few weeks ago.

Wyatt turns to glare at Tom for reminding him of his loss to Devin Tyler in the semi-finals of the Blast from the Past tournament. The glare only lasts a couple of seconds before Wyatt turns his attention back to the video game.

Wyatt: Fine. Ah won’t discount them, but can ah at least overlook Joshua Acquin?

Tom looks at Wyatt with an incredulous look on his face.

Tom: You wanna gloss over Mr. SCW? The guy who’s partner Amy attacked last Climax Control?

A smirk creeps onto the corner of Wyatt’s face and is soon a full blown smile.

Wyatt: Ah’m just messin’ with ya! Ol’ Joshy boy said himself that me an’ Amy are his main focus.  Perdy sure that Jessie Salco wants tah get her hands on Amy too, but ah think she’s got way too much focus on that Parand Ara gal. She’s probably gonna lose the match fer her team cuz of her lack of focus on the match. Ah think it’s funny that she talks ‘bout wantin’ the Mixed Tag Titles but then she goes around pickin’ fights with other people.

Tom: I think that they’ve just got been from some other promotion.

Wyatt: Then why the hell is it goin’ on in SCW?

Tom shrugs.

Tom: You got me there.

Tom shifts to an awkward looking position with his arms holding the controller above his head as he plays.

Wyatt: Ya know who ah’m kinda likin’ though? Ah probably shouldn’t be sayin’ this, but ah kinda like the London Underground. Ah talked tah Daniel Morgan a little bit on Twitter. He stands his groun’ an’ backs up his talk. They also heard ‘bout Butternuts passin’ on an’ sent their condolences. It takes a real man, or should ah say men in this case, take step back from the competition tah see that we’re all human an’ need tah be there fer each other when times get rough. Ah just hope that once we get in that ring, they don’t hold back thinkin’ that ah’m weak ‘cause o’ mah loss. The man ah am in the ring ain’t the same as the man ah am when ah’m at home. That horse was a part o’ me. He was the first horse ah ever rode an’ helped me through a lotta hard times growin’ up. Ah’m allowed tah show some emotions when ah lose someone ah’ve had that kinda bond with. Ah’m gonna take all that emotion an’ turn it into motivation once ah’m in the ring. Ah’m gonna go out there an’ win for Butternuts. No one can tell me otherwise.

Tom jumps up off of the couch, leaning forward as he pushes buttons on the controller.

Wyatt: Well, sh*t!

Wyatt tosses his controller onto the couch and stares at the game with a helpless expression until Tom throws both arms straight up into the air.

Tom: TOUCHDOWWWWWWNNNNN!!!

Tom looks back at Wyatt with a big smile on his face.

Tom: Gotta love Jalen Ramsey and his pick sixes.

Wyatt: Ah don’ hafta love ‘im, but congrats anyway.

Tom resumes his position on the couch as Wyatt picks his controller back up.

Tom: Sorry I interrupted you. Go on.

Wyatt shakes his head.

Wyatt: Ah was perdy much done anyway. Ya know ah ain’t much fer talkin’. Ah’d much rather let the action do talkin’ fer me.

Tom nods in agreement.

Tom: Unfortunately, you’ve gotta do the talking too. That’s how you become the champion. You can be amazing in the ring. When you’re on top of your game, you’re damn near unbeatable in the ring, but the squeaky wheel gets the oil. That’s why Jessie Salco and Joshua Acquin are in this match. They kept coming out to the ring saying they deserved a title shot and they got it. You’re gonna have to start speaking up more often to get what you want or you’ll end up being like Ben Jordan. He’s one of the best SCW has ever seen, but he always took a back seat to the talkers when it came to title shots. I’m sure you’ve seen what happened with him once he spoke up a couple of weeks ago. People notice the people who utilize the microphone more than the ones who let their actions do the talking.

Wyatt nods in acknowledgment.

Wyatt: That’s why ah keep you ‘round. You do the talkin’. Ah’ll do the fightin’.

There is a knock on the hotel room door.

Wyatt: Come on in!

The handle on the door rattles as the visitor attempts to get in.

Tom: This is a hotel room. You can’t open the door without a key.

Wyatt smiles, embarrassed.

Wyatt: Oh yeah.

Wyatt pauses the game and puts the controller on the arm of the chair before standing up to answer the door. He opens the door to find SCW interviewer “Stoner” Scott Oliver.

Wyatt: Scotty, come on in.

Stoner: Thanks, bro.

The Stoner walks into the room, closing the door behind himself as Wyatt has already returned to the couch and picked the controller back up to resume the game. The Stoner walks into the living room and takes a seat on the chair next to the couch.

Tom: What brings you up to our room, dude?

Stoner: I’m here for your pre-match promo for the Mixed Tag Team Championships.

Tom and Wyatt pause the game and look at the Stoner with cocked eyebrows.

Wyatt: Ah… though we just did our promo.

Now it’s the Stoner’s turn to look confused.

Stoner: Nooooo…. I just got here. At least, I think I did. Didn’t I?

Wyatt chuckles.

Wyatt: Yeah, ya did.

Tom: We definitely did our promo. Let’s double check.

The camera pans out to show a white board with several topics checked off.

Tom: Let’s see.... The Seraphinas?

Wyatt: Check!

Tom: Josh and Jess?

Wyatt: Check!

Tom: The London Underground?

Wyatt: Check!

Tom: Beat a dead horse?

Wyatt: Too soon! But, check!

Tom and Wyatt turn back to face the Stoner.

Tom: Yup. It looks like we did our promo. Right, Wyatt?

Wyatt: Check!

The Stoner sits back in his chair confused as Tom and Wyatt resume their game. After a few minutes, The Stoner looks at the television and then back at Tom and Wyatt sitting on the couch with their controllers. He looks back at the television and then at Tom and Wyatt. He repeats this a couple of more times, each with a more confused look on his face.

Stoner: Umm… what are you guys doing?

Tom: We’re playing Madden.

Stoner looks back at the television once more before turning back to face the couch.

Stoner: But… the T.V. is off…

The camera shifts to bring the blank television into view. Tom and Wyatt toss their controllers onto the coffee table in front of them.

Wyatt: Well, ya got us. Just felt kinda lame tah do one of them promos where ya just take to the camera.

The Stoner nods as if he understands the logic.

Stoner: So… you guys don’t need me for an interview?

Tom: No, but you can play some Madden with us. Grab a controller.

Tom and Wyatt pick their controllers back up. The Stoner shrugs before leaning forward and grabbing a third controller from the coffee table. The three men stare at the blank television and start “playing Madden” as the scene fades.
