 Despite Caleb’s best efforts in the King for a Day Ladder Match he ultimately came up short as the Modern-Day Crusader would go on to win the match and the opportunity to book one Climax Control show! However, that show wasn’t until the second week of the current Supercard Cycle as the winner of the Queen for a Day Ladder Match, Alice Knight, was going to book her Climax Control first and to say that she had some interesting ideas was an understatement.

For starters, each wrestler/interviewer/commentator/stage hand had to attend the show in formal wear and wrestle in former wear as well, this combined with the fact that U2 was going to be playing non-stop has already lead to Jessie Salco declaring that she’s going to hold to tailgating party outside the arena with her husband Shane cooking the food but Caleb on the other hand was competing against the other competitors in the King for a Day Ladder Match namely Josh Woodrum, Samuel Devereux, Aaron Issacs and Jeremiah Hardin in the Prince to the King Hardcore Streetfight, immediately preceding this match was the Princess to the Queen Battle Royal between Trinity Jones, Amy-Jayne and Valora Thomas and what would that mean for the winners of the match? Only Alice (and possibly Crusader) knows for certain but Caleb wants to get back in the winner’s circle, can he, do it?

If my dad watched wrestling and realized where I was, he’d be laughing his ass off right now!

Anyone who watched me in PWU knows that my relationship with my dad is complicated to say the least, I want to be a wrestler and a metal musician, he wants me to get a real job and don’t even get me started on his opinions towards Katie, but now that I’m on the other side of the country from Syracuse, New York I shouldn’t have to worry about that asshole anymore.

If anything, I should worry about trying not to rip the suit as a wrestle in it on Sunday!

This week is the first of the two Queen/King for a Day Climax Controls and we’re starting with Alice’s episode, needless to say if I knew that her power would go to her head this quickly I would’ve rooted for Trinity Jones to win the Queen for a Day Ladder Match because at least she seems to know better than to try to get a bunch of wrestlers to compete in suits, the fact that these suits are being paid for with Christian’s credit card does soften the blow a bit.

And then there’s the match I’m competing in, in a way it’s a rematch against the other losers from the King for a Day Ladder Match, Aaron Issacs, Samuel Devereux, Jeremiah Hardin and Josh Woodrum to determine who will be the Prince to the King, what does that mean exactly? You got me! I just want to get back in the winner’s circle!

Oh, and just to make things interesting, it’s a street fight! Great, as if this match wasn’t wild enough already!

“Can we just get this over with already?” I grumbled under my breath as the woman measured me up for the suit, Katie (begrudgingly) already has her dress sorted out and whilst she isn’t wearing it it’s in the bag ready to be paid for. “Feels like we’ve been here for hours.”

“Caleb, we’ve only been here for twenty minutes.” Katie responded as she rolled her eyes and I glanced over at her, right now I was feeling like Thor in Thor: Ragnorok when he got his hair cut by the creepiest Stan Lee cameo yet. “And ten of those minutes were spent getting me fit for my dress, she should be done soon.”

“Yes, it shouldn’t take too much longer.” The woman responded as she measured my waist. “So, what’s the occasion? Relatives getting married? You’re getting married? You don’t seem like the type who normally wears suits.”

“It took you this long to notice?” I asked with a deadpan expression on my face whilst Katie shook her head. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”

“Try me.” The woman responded with a shrug before motioning to another shop assistant to come over.

“I’m going to wrestle in this suit.” I responded causing her and the other store assistant to do double takes when they heard that. “And the reason we came to an expensive place like this? It’s a long story but basically, this is being paid for with my bosses’ credit card.”

“Oh yeah, your one of the wrestlers we were told to expect.” The woman responded with a sigh and I could tell that she wasn’t a wrestling fan from the look on her face, the other store assistant did seem to be a wrestling fan on the other hand. “Something about a Queen forcing all the wrestlers to wrestle in suits and gowns.”

“Yeah, that’s an even longer story.” I responded as I glanced over at her. “Basically, the company just toured New Zealand and Australia and on the last show of the tour two matches were held to determine which wrestler would get to book one show in the coming weeks, I competed in one of them and lost.”

“Wait, you’re Caleb Storms?!” The other store assistant responded, and the female store assistant went off to get the suit sorted out. “Holy crap man, I’m a huge fan.”

“I’ve been in the company for just over two months and you’re already a huge fan.” I responded with a chuckle as I glanced over at him. “Believe me, if I wasn’t wrestling I’d be attending Jessie Salco’s tailgating party instead.”

“Yeah I’ll take that over U2 being played on repeat any day of the week.” The guy responded before holding out a pen and paper. “Could I get your autograph before you leave? I think Stacy’s ready for the payment.” He added as he motioned to the other store assistant, who I now knew as Stacy, who was waiting for us at the counter with my suit and Katie’s dress. “The name’s Liam.”

“Sure Liam.” I responded before signing his autograph and handing it over before heading to the counter with Christian’s credit card, supplied by Alice, in hand. “This isn’t contactless by the way.”

“That’s fine, just pop it into the machine.” Stacy said as she rolled her eyes and I did so, once the payment went through I took both bags off the counter. “You won’t catch me dead at the wrestling show, but you’ll probably see Liam.”

“Yeah, I kinda gathered that.” I responded before turning to Katie and leaving the store. “Now to find a place that sells Masquerade Masks.”

“I’m sure there’s a costume shop nearby that sells them.” Katie responded before opening the boot of our rent car and I put the bags in whilst chuckling to myself as I imagined the look on Christian’s face when his credit card bill arrived. “Just don’t forget to get the credit card back to Alice.”

“I won’t.” I responded before closing the boot. “But I do have a promo to do.”

“Yep, luckily I have some Googling to do.” Katie responded as she held up her phone. “I’ll send you a text when I find a place that has the masks we’re looking for.” Katie added before she became fixated on her phone and I walked off to find a secluded spot to do my promo and once I found one I turned to the camera.

“When I competed in the King for a Day Ladder Match two weeks ago at High Stakes VII I figured that the winners of the King and Queen for a Day Ladder Matches would just settle for booking some matches, I know I would’ve because my plans for my Climax Control featured two six pack challenges for the SCW Bombshell and Men’s Roulette Titles as the Main Event, I just wasn’t sure who else to put in the match but I guess we’ll never find out, what I didn’t expect was for the Queen for a Day to let the power go to her head and go all out with the queen thing hence why I just brought some suits for this week’s Climax Control as I get ready to compete in the Prince to the King Hardcore Streetfight!”

But what does that mean? Who knows?

“But the surprises keep on coming because no one knows what that entails for the winner! But on the other hand, I’m fighting the other four losers from the King for a Day Ladder Match as I get ready to take on Aaron Issacs, Josh Woodrum, Samuel Devereux and Jeremiah Hardin for this prestigious honor, an honor so prestigious that no one knows what that means for the winner accept for Alice and the Modern Day Crusader and trust me, I asked her about it when I went to get Christian’s credit card from her but all she told me was to wait and see!”

But I digress, first up is Jeremiah and Samuel.

“Yeah I’m grouping Sam and Jeremiah together again because their performance in the King for a Day Ladder Match hasn’t installed much confidence in me that they’ll care one bit about this match either and considering the championship credentials that these two men have that’s just disappointing in so many levels! We may be fighting in a Streetfight this time and we may be fighting in suits Samuel and Jeremiah but suit or not suit I’m going to win this match!”

Next up is Aaron!

“Now we go from two guys who didn’t promote the King for a Day Ladder Match to a guy who put up exactly one promo and then kept quiet aside from one Tweet about me and Katie’s trip to Melbourne Zoo Aaron Issacs and you may call yourself Jet City’s finest but in the ladder match it was easy to see that you couldn’t keep up with the other competitors in the match and the same thing will happen in the Prince to the King Hardcore Streetfight!”

Finally, is Josh!

“Come on, was I really going to end this promo with talking about someone else? Because out of the competitors in this match Josh is the guy who I have the most history with and by that, I mean that I beat him to win my first match in SCW! And you know what? My prediction came true in the Ladder Match as you couldn’t keep up with the other, smaller, faster competitors and it cost you in the end! This may be a different match Josh, but the ending will be the same but with one major difference!”

I got the text from Katie and I decided to wrap things up rather than keep her waiting.

“Honestly, I don’t think there was a more confused guy than me when I saw the match that Alice had put me in yesterday, in fact the only thing I was able to blurt out when I saw the match was “………. say what?!” and you know what? These past few days haven’t alleviated my confusion but if I must beat Jeremiah Hardin, Samuel Devereux, Aaron Issacs and Josh Woodrum to become the Prince to the King, whatever that means, then so be it! Jeremiah, Samuel, Aaron and Josh had better brace themselves because there’s a storm brewing and the Metal Storm Caleb Storms is about to blow them away!”

I walked back towards the car as the scene fades.
