"A repeating nightmare"

Ryan didn’t quite make it on the first flight to New Zealand. Eventually, he’ll get the next one. With boots still in his hands, he made it over to his boarding gate, where a blonde haired woman was giving him the stink-eye from under her teased up bangs. But she now paled in comparison to the last TSA agent. Ryan swore that was the last time he would board a plane, but here he is. He put his boots back on his feet and walked back towards the small green “EXIT†sign to the right of the security checkpoint.
A woman in the checking ID at the beginning of the security line stared at him for a long moment, eyes narrowed in suspicion behind her glasses. "Sir. I checked this already. And your flight is leaving in ten minutes."
"Uh." Ryan had to think quickly, which had never been his forte, hard to believe as it was. “I had to go back for a search. Kinda mandatory from the sound of it.â€
Instantly she grew more suspicious. "Odd, there’s hasn’t been any alerts of a search going on"
"Hey, I was pulled back and shoved into a tiny room. At this point I just go with it."
"And exactly where did you get pulled from"
“At the start of the gate, near the restrooms.â€
“Sir, did you check to see if these were official employees of our airport?†Her eyes narrowed in contempt.
“Yeah, I… uh…. They had the uniform, you know, so I just figured it was official. Jesus take the wheel, and all that.†Actually, he had no idea if they had the right uniform at all, but the gate-keeper didn’t need to know that. He scanned the workers, hoping to get through on his fifth attempt.
She frowned, but still took his ID. "Right, and is Jason Cavi your name?"
"Yes, but I don’t go by that anymore. Just for official things."
She sniffed, very unimpressed by Ryan’s confession. "Go on, go. Hurry before you miss your flight. I’d advise you to be more careful with yourself."
At the conveyor belts, Another officer caught one sight of him and glared. "Oh hell no. You back here again, pretty boy? Get those goddamn boots off, man."
"Hey Phil, hopefully this is the last time I get turned back." He smiled, yet he wanted to board already.
"I’ll be praying for you. I’ve never seen this happen so much before. â€
"New Zealand is worth the wait I guess." He managed to reply, taking off his boots and shuffling over to wait at the wall where he directed him. Another scan was given, and another clear was announced. Still this wasn’t the first time Ryan’s heard this.
The hands on the clock seemed to be moving faster the more Ryan stared at it. With his carry on in hand, the superstar ran as fast as he could through the terminal in order to get to his flight on time. Though that possibility had started to dim a few hours ago. It was literally the point when Ryan reached the boarding desk that his flight took off. A long day wasted again in an airport.
“C’mon… just give me a break.â€He sighed heavily in a defeated tone as he checked his watch again. The woman behind the desk gave him a copy & paste apology every airport employee gives in this situation. Asking for the next flight to be registered, Ryan at least felt relief that all the body searches were over and done with.
Suddenly he felt a tap over his left shoulder, a suspicious looking woman in a uniform smiled and gave her apologies. “I’m sorry, but you’ve been randomly selected for additional screening. Come this way.†As if he had a choice, at the moment she finished talking the poor man was dragged by his arm and into a small room despite his protest and demands for a lawyer.
"A test of strength"
Christchurch, New Zealand, Saturday 16, 2017
[On Camera]
Back at it with another SCW tour, and yet another start to a long ride out in New Zealand. This is Ryan's second tour outside of the states with SCW and first time ever on this side of the world. And this time, Ryan was kicking off the tour with a brand new title on his waste. Yet another first. This is his first reign as the Internet champion since Violent conduct concluded. Ryan has stood the test of time and managed to achieve a personal goal that he tasked himself from the very beginning. Now it's finally time for a new challenge to over come.
Once Ryan finally arrived at New Zealand he was relieved to finally set foot on solid ground and get away from any airports as fast as he possibly could. This was one of those odd moments where he felt relaxed with a fresh start in the horizon. The warm was welcoming to him as Ryan was soon joined by Harley for some fun, though their first plan of action was to sleep off the incredibly long flight they had taken, and start fresh whenever they decided to wake up. After all, Climax Control was a few days away, and the sight of Ryan's next challenge was close.
After a few hours of much needed sleep, Ryan finds himself in a lavish hotel room he acquired.Being his first time in a new place, Ryan decides to spend a bit more than he's used to. Leaving a snoring Harley in bed, Ryan gets up and dressed in a pair of lightly gray sweat pants hanging extremely low on his body. Waking himself up for the day, the Vegas native decides to take out his laptop from his suitcase in order to check out his new challenger. He's been researching Griffin Hawkins for days now since his match was announced. It was hard for him to believe the stories he's heard about this man, and the fact that he was so popular made it seem like Griffin was a legend. Though, the fact that Steve Ramome isn't around because of him sent a wave of concern through his body each time he thought of it.
As he sets up the camera on his laptop, Ryan is soon shown on screen for a quick Vlog of himself, and a reaction video fans have been asking for since Violent Conduct.
"Violent Conduct ended, and it wasn't the only thing that did end. I can finally, one hundred percent say that I BEAT James Tuscini. It has been since my debut last year my goal to beat this man, and each and every time I've gotten in the ring with him I've let that opportunity slip. There were even times were I never stood a chance at all against him, while in some matches some one beat me to the punch. But not this time. At Violent conduct I came in like a man on a million, I pulled aside my pride as an entertainer and I gave it my all. I almost thought I was gonna lose, I almost did."
Ryan pauses for a bit, checking if his voice has woken up Harley. Though the guy sleeps like a rock for days, so he was fine. Sitting down on an open chair, Griffin Hawkins matches play on a small window, just giving him a glimpse of whats to come.
"There was a point in my match that I gave in. I had no choice. Both James and Killian kicked my ass and both decided to make me tap,and I did. All that hard work was over... or at least that's what I thought at the time. Pain rushed to my head, my body was aching, and I'm pretty sure the cameras had something to censor. But the next few moments were over in a hurry. I got mad respect for Killian, but I needed to get that man out if I ever wanted to have a chance. If he'd stick around in the singles division I'd have to watch my back. Still, he was out, James was there. Some how, some way I pulled something off. I couldn't believe it. "
He chuckles with a long exhale, still in amazement as he looks content. His hands wipe over his face while he shakes his head.
"I didn't even know what happened. It took the ref like two or three tries to actually tell me what was going on, and then.... I got my title. But even better than that, I finally broke my losing streak curse with James. I don't even know how to begin to describe what i was feeling when he grabbed the mic. I was not about to cry on camera, so I just held the title to my face until I made it backstage. I broke character for a second to shake James hand, but this is here between us. Still, I could finally see how much I've grown. Coming from never beating the guy, to ending it all and becoming a champion in the process."
Stepping away from the camera for a moment, Ryan goes off to the side to eventually come back with the Internet title draped over his shoulder, as his tattooed hands rub over it's shine.
"And then this. To be honest, I though I was just lucky to with the Roulette title, not once, but twice. Now, Now I can add the Internet title to what I've accomplished here in SCW. This is all new to me now. I have a fresh new start on everything starting in a few days. And that's where this man comes in."
He enlarges the video playing of Griffin and Steve Ramones streetlight at Violent Conduct. His cold eyes scan over what he's gonna face eventually and smiles at the challenge.
"I've never been put to the test against a legend before. Since before coming to SCW I've heard of Griffin. And I'm actually pretty happy that's as chill in person as in social media. I gotta say, I'm excited for this one, but at the same time I just spent a few minutes talking about how a small victory was so hard for me to get after so long, so this.... I don;t know if I'm ready to face a legend again. Chris Shipman was tough enough as it is. Still, I'm always up for a challenge."
Ryan sits back on the chair, having his eyes gaze low towards his tile before setting his sights to the camera once again.
"It's time for me to test where I stand as a champion. A real test of strength. And who knows, maybe I'll make it my goal to beat Griffin. It only took me about fifteen tries with James, so it'll be fun to see if I can get this legend off his feet on my first try. There's only one way to find out. It's talent against talent, and I don;t thing Griffin has ever faced a stubborn guy like me."
With a smile tugging on his lips, Ryan seems overjoyed for Climax Control to begin.
"I may not be the roulette champion anymore, but let get this ball rolling and see where it lands. May lady luck be ever in your favor."
With a few click, the live broadcast had come to a close. Marking Ryan's though in coming to New Zealand and starting his reign as the Internet Champion.
