Climax Control Roleplays / Finding Our Weaknesses
« Last post by Peter Vaughn on Today at 07:12:31 PM »
~The picture comes together from above, as we see a long string of collapsing monuments, the only proof that life once thrived in this location. It's the former city known as Troy, including the mound of Hisarlik and the fields around it. It is both a beautiful location and a solemn one, since much death had occurred in and around this site. The drone loses altitude, heading in towards the main hill, where a single man can be seen, standing and taking in the scenery. Peter Vaughn seems to be deep in thought, considering his facial expression doesn't change as the drone gets closer. That doesn't mean, however, he hasn't noticed it.~

Peter Vaughn: So I take it you're close by somewhere, boyo? You want to join me over here, or are you going to continue filming anonymously?

~After a few seconds go by, we see a man step out from behind one of the crumbling walls, carrying his own portable camera. The drone, controlled by him, zooms over his direction. For a moment, the cameraman seems unsure on how to juggle things, but he is able to set down one camera and catch the drone softly in his hands. He puts it away, then picks up the camera again, leading to a few jerky frames of content before everything settles down. He then approaches Vaughn, who is still standing in the same spot.~

Cameraman: How did you know it was me?

Peter Vaughn: You mean, other than the drone getting right in my face?

Cameraman: That could have been anyone, though. A member of the Turkish press, or maybe a fan...

Peter Vaughn: Let's just say I recognized your flying style.

Cameraman: Ahhh, yes, it's very distinctive. You know, I took training to be able to fly the top drones in the world...

Peter Vaughn: Uh-huh...

~The cameraman quiets down, realizing that Vaughn probably doesn't believe him. But hey, you need top-notch training to work at Sin City, so it's not beyond the realm of possibility that he's well-trained. It's just a little hard to believe. Either way, the cameraman moves to the side, making sure not to get too close to the downward plunge of the hill as he films Vaughn.~

Cameraman: So I wanted to see how you were feeling, Mr. Vaughn. I know it was a tough loss on Sunday.

~Vaughn doesn't speak right away, instead bringing his hand up to where he's still got a bandage, courtesy of the assault pre-match from Alexander Raven.~

Peter Vaughn: Yep. I guess you could say things didn't go the way I was hoping for. Once again, I couldn't do everything for my team, and once again... my partner couldn't avoid getting pinned. It's a rather depressing statistic, really. Still, we move on. I kept my championship, which Alexis couldn't take from me. I guarantee I'll be seeing him again... and soon. I always like to make sure and... fulfill expectations, after all.

~With that, Vaughn shakes his head, looking back over the archeological remains of the city of Troy.~

Peter Vaughn: You know, the wars fought here were legendary. Stories are still told to this day about the city of Troy and the Trojan War. Kids probably think it has something to do with condoms, but they'll be educated soon enough to the Iliad and the Odyssey. At least, I hope they do. There are some good lessons to be learned in a place like this, where it was believed that they could never lose... until they lost.

Cameraman: I can't say I know much about it.

Peter Vaughn: Oh, believe me, you know more than you think. I trust you at least have heard of the story of the Trojan Horse?

Cameraman: I've heard of those. I try very hard to keep all of my computer equipment protected from them, as well as other viruses. You know, the SCW IT department gets very upset when you allow them onto your laptops... er, so I've heard..

~Vaughn lowers his head for a moment, as if mustering his strength at what he has to deal with. He then looks over at the younger man nearby.~

Peter Vaughn: I'm talking about the original Trojan Horse, friend. The one that was left outside of the gates of Troy when the Greek army seemed to abandon the war. The Trojans, in celebration, brought the wooden horse inside of their gates. Unfortunately for them, the 'horse' was filled with the best Greek warriors, and they snuck out of the horse at night, opening the gates and letting in the rest of their army. It was a slaughter.

Cameraman: That seems... ridiculous. How big was this horse, exactly?

Peter Vaughn: It was built to look like a sacrifice for the Gods.

Cameraman: Still... how many men could be inside of it? And why wouldn't the Trojans check it?

Peter Vaughn: Because people have weaknesses, boyo. For Achilles, it was his heel. For Hector, it was trust. And for the Trojans, it was arrogance.

Cameraman: I'll say...

Peter Vaughn: We all have weaknesses, friend. Even me. You know what mine is?

~You can hear the cameraman start to say something, but he apparently opts for the smarter course and bites his tongue. He knows Vaughn pretty well after all this time, after all. Vaughn doesn't seem to notice, as he continues forward.~

Peter Vaughn: My weakness appears to be partnership.

Cameraman: Partnership?

Peter Vaughn: You know what my record in Sin City is at this point, after more than a year of competing here? Twenty-one wins, eight losses. That might be one of my highest loss totals in all of the feds I've been in, actually. And you know where half of those losses come from? Tag-team matches where my partner fell short.

~Vaughn shakes his head, as if seeing the losses flash before his eyes.~

Peter Vaughn: I watched Selena Zdunich get taken down by Courtney Pierce in my first Blast From The Past Tournament. I was too tired after defending the Roulette Title earlier in the night at Summer Xxxtreme to be able to push Kim Page to the Mixed Tag Titles in that Fatal Fourway. Goth & I went against Michael Harris & J2H in a random "throw the opponents together" match, and Goth ended up going down. That one in particular still bothers me. And now, Bobbie lost her belt because she couldn't stop Calaway, and I have yet another loss on my record. Tag-team matches, man. They are my bane. My curse. My kryptonite.

~Vaughn sighs, rubbing at the back of his head. He then glances back at the cameraman, who is keeping a polite (and safe) distance.~

Peter Vaughn: I guess I can't blame Milo for campaigning for this match.

Cameraman: Wh-what? You think Miles Kasey wanted this tag-team contest to be set up?

Peter Vaughn: I'd say it's fairly obvious, for anyone who can see the truth. I have beaten Milo three times now. Twice in the singles ranks, and once in a Triple Threat Ultimate X match, but really, The Troll eliminated himself, what, five seconds in? So really, that should count as a singles contest as well. So I have his number there. But Milo surely sees that my inability to save my partner is my biggest weakness. So therefore, right after I lose yet another tag match, he just HAPPENS to get paired up with his love to face Goth and I? Not to mention, Goth is still recovering from a brutal beating he took from some moronic Entity, and I've got my own wounds still healing. Truthfully.... it's a smart move from Milo. I didn't think he had it in him.

~With that, Vaughn steps away from the hill, walking back over to where one of the decaying walls are still standing. He looks it over, reaching out as if to tap it, but decides against it, knowing it's extremely fragile.~

Peter Vaughn: Maybe Miles is starting to learn how to play the game. It's about time.

Cameraman: I think you're jumping to a bit of a conclusion, Mr. Vaughn. Personally, I think they just booked this match to have a good contest, and seeing the Saviors back in action is worth it, isn't it?

Peter Vaughn: Oh, don't get me wrong. I fully respect Goth and all he's done in the business. The man has been a legend, and I know he's going to give his all as my tag-team partner. Milo & HBC are still in for a hell of a fight, and I still expect our team to come out victorious. But I have to grant Milo his due: he's becoming more devious, which certainly makes him more of a respectable threat.

~The cameraman doesn't know what to say, even as Vaughn looks at the wall in front of him, as if looking for where the perfect punch should go to break straight through it.~

Peter Vaughn: Everyone has a weakness, my friend. Everyone. For Milo, well, I've talked about his weaknesses before. But I must admit, I missed one... because I never talked about how he'd do anything for HBC. Anything to save him.

~With that, Vaughn looks back at the cameraman with a smirk.~

Peter Vaughn: And just like me, that's a weakness Milo can't do anything about.

~Vaughn then walks to the side, kicking a piece of debris out of his way. It hits the edge of the wall, which crumbles and tilts... but still stays up. The cameraman seems to breathe a sigh of relief, before turning and hurrying after Vaughn, wanting to get as far from that place as possible before it falls. We cut away.~

~We now find ourselves in a very different location, even though we have not travelled too far. The city of Canakkale, Turkey, sits along the Dardanelles, a stunning port city with a lot of history behind it. It's the closest place for those preparing to fight at the ruins of Troy to find lodging. This is where we find Peter Vaughn now, dressed comfortably in one of his usual coveralls, while he walks down a city street with his fiancé,  Sadie Anderson. The two make a left turn, heading down to near the water, where we can see a large statue up ahead. It appears to be a man holding what looks like an artillery shell in his arms. The two take in the statue, walking around it.~

Peter Vaughn: Well, there's something you don't see every day.

Sadie Anderson: It says here in my guide that it's a monument for Seyit Ali Cabuk, or Corporal Seyik. Apparently he single-handedly defended the fort here by carrying heavy artillery shells on his own to load the guns, and managed to sink a British ship with them.

Peter Vaughn: My kind of guy... stubborn and tough.

Sadie Anderson: You ever think there will be a statue of you put up one day?

~Vaughn breaks into a genuine laugh, something that you really only hear when he's with Sadie. He has to compose himself after that one.~

Peter Vaughn: Something tells me that as good as I've been, I'll never be statue-worthy. But that's fine. I'll let my record speak for itself.

Sadie Anderson: Well, you never know. Maybe I'll have one commissioned. Would you be wanting to have it where you're holding a wrestler in a headlock?

Peter Vaughn: As long as it's Alexander Raven, sure.

~The two turn, looking out over the waterway, which is busy with commerce coming back and forth across.~

Sadie Anderson: This is a very beautiful place. Thank you for bringing me here.

Peter Vaughn: Thank Sin City. They're paying for the bill for this, which is always nice.

Sadie Anderson: I wonder... would this be a good place to get married, do you think?

~Sadie's eyes show that she's been thinking about this for a while. Vaughn, meanwhile, seems surprised.~

Peter Vaughn: Married here? Under this guy? I mean, don't get me wrong, his story is very impressive... but that would make for some strange wedding photos...

~Sadie smacks Vaughn on the arm playfully, although there's a little hurt hiding behind her eyes.~

Sadie Anderson: That's not what I meant, and you know it, Peter. It's just that... we've been engaged for a while now. But we've never discussed where we want to get married. With your funds and travel experience, we really could choose anywhere across the world... and I'd like for us to start making that choice, Peter.

~Vaughn quietly puts an arm around Sadie's shoulder, still looking out towards the water.~

Peter Vaughn: I know, Sadie. I owe it to you to start getting more details together about our big day. We keep talking about it, and then something else seems to come up, doesn't it? But I haven't forgotten. I still want to marry you, Sadie. You're the only one for me. Literally, no one else can stand me, so...

~Sadie breaks into a laugh, smacking Vaughn again, this time in the chest.~

Sadie Anderson: You know there are plenty of women who would love to swoop in and take you, Peter.

Peter Vaughn: Well, I've never seen them, personally. I can't say I've ever been thought of as a ladies' man. For the longest time, I wasn't even sure about it myself.

Sadie Anderson: Well, you're with me now. So how about it? Want to get married in Rome? London? Paris?

Peter Vaughn: I'd have no problems with marrying you on a deserted island. The ceremony isn't what will bring me there, just you.

Sadie Anderson: I know you've said before that you want me to take the reins and run with planning the wedding... but I really want to do it with your help, Peter.

~Vaughn nods, stepping closer to Sadie... as his watch goes off, sounding an alarm. He looks down, checking the time and turning off the sound, as Sadie looks on, a little bemused.~

Sadie Anderson: Saved by the bell again?

Peter Vaughn: What? That didn't even sound like a bell, more like a horn or something...

~Vaughn checks his watch again, as if to look up the sound effect he had set, but Sadie stops him, shaking her head.~

Sadie Anderson: You've got to go, don't you?

Peter Vaughn: Afraid so. I'm supposed to meet up with Goth and play some cards. Melissa should be there, too. You're welcome to join us, you know, even if we ARE going to be doing two things you hate: playing poker and talking strategy.

Sadie Anderson: Maybe I'll come by later. For now, I want to hit a few of the tourist traps here and buy myself a few things. You give Goth my best, okay?

~Sadie gives Vaughn a kiss, then walks away. Vaughn watches her go, and then looks upwards at the statue above him.~

Peter Vaughn: I really am a lucky son of a gun, aren't I, Corporal Seyit?

~Not surprisingly, the monument doesn't respond. For a few more seconds, Vaughn considers the size of the statue, and what he's carrying.~

Peter Vaughn: I still think I could have taken him.

~With a smirk, Vaughn turns and departs as well, leaving the statue behind.~

You ever consider yourself a hero, Milo?

I know you like to act like the heroes you watched in your youth, emulating some of the great wrestling studs you watched in the UK. As cocky as you can be, I know you like to have the fans on your side in all your matches. You like to hear your name chanted, just not in the way they chant mine. I always seem to have a "Sucks" added on afterwords, or other words more colorful.

The crowd always seems to have a delightful version of the English language at their disposal.

So I know you're wanting to get that praise from them, Milo. I've seen it from HBC as well. You both always seem to want a little bit of approval from the people who pay money to see us. Now, me? I want them to respect me, even if they hate me, because I deserve it. But if they want to hate on me? It's their right. I have no problems being the villain in our little scenario. I mean, what are they going to do, boo Goth? The man's legendary career is coming to an end and he just got assaulted by a masked buffoon.

Nope. I'm going to be getting all the fury directed at me for this one... and I'm going to fully accept being the bad guy.

After all, people are still mad at how our championship bout ended. They're still raging, and I know you still are, too,  Milo. But it's not like I came into our contest hiding my intentions. I told you that I would be willing to do anything to win. I tried to show you the truth, wanting you to assault your opponent after the bell and show you could be ruthless, too. But you wouldn't do it, and you left the door open when you couldn't put me away... and a three count later, your reign ended and mine began.

I may be the villain, but this is no comic book story, Milo... because I won.

So now we'll see if you've begun learning the correct lessons. You already managed to get a match made that could put me at a disadvantage, thanks to Goth's injuries. You made me fight a week after my last contest, while you took it easy watching your brother get his clock cleaned by Aiden Reynolds. But are you leaving the door open to taking more chances during a match? Are you willing to see how far you can take it?

This is your opportunity to leave the hero worshipping behind, Milo, and really become someone great. It doesn't have to be a villain. Just maybe an anti-hero... or a vigilante, perhaps. They're willing to break the law in order to do what is needed. Why do you have to stay Captain America?

Or I guess I should say, Captain Britain? Although I've never liked that guy myself... too uptight.

So if you're the hero, Milo, what does that make you, HBC? I don't picture you as a sidekick, by any means. I've fought you once, and you weren't an easy victory. I mean, I still won, but it wasn't a simple matter of the 1-2-3. At the same time, it's hard to picture you as the triumphant Superman flying into the midst of battle.

Although if Goth gets his hands on you, you really might learn how to fly... if not how to land.

You see, the three of us, truth be told, have very similar styles. We may not be the same in talent level, but we're all willing to do that leap over the top rope if it means destroying our adversaries. But Goth, well, he might occasionally take that risk, but he'd much rather grab you by the head and smash you headfirst into the mat... repeatedly.

Goth has a lot of anger to get rid of at the moment, and you guys have ended up becoming the targets. Congratulations.

Now, I'd rather Goth stay on the sidelines, if I'm being honest. I know he's not 100 percent coming into this. But I know better than to even suggest that to the big man. He would probably want to knock some sense into me for even saying it. And I'd team with a guy like Goth on his worst day, because I know that while he's a Hall of Famer, he still doesn't mind getting his hands dirty from time to time.

He's a Savior. That's in the job description.

So I could easily see Goth locking HBC into the Gothic Dream, taking him to the mat and choking him out as I hold Milo back, forcing him to watch as poor HBC succumbs to oblivion. Would Milo wait for the referee to make the call that HBC is unconscious? I don't think he'd tap willingly on his own, he'd sacrifice everything for Milo... and Milo would do the same, right?

Will we have any white towels handy?

If you're really stuck with being the hero in this scenario, Milo, you may have no choice in the matter but to save HBC from himself... and protect those brain cells that keep him going from losing oxygen. In this case, only you could be the hero that the guy needs, Milo. You could save him.

Even Superman has had to quit under the right circumstances. I'm sure Captain Britain has to.

Even if he sucks.

~The car that we're shown begins to sputter, as it begins weaving towards the side of the road. Thankfully, it makes it there, out of traffic, before the smoke begins to pour from the front hood. The driver steps out, looking stunned, as he goes around to pop the hood and take a look. The back door opens as well, with Peter Vaughn stepping out in frustration.~

Peter Vaughn: Damn. Really? This is actually happening?

~The Turkish driver says something in his language, which can be interpreted by anyone who knows it. We here just don't have the funds to cover extra stuff like this. Vaughn, who can't speak it either, just pulls his bag out of the car.~

Peter Vaughn: You ever hear of coolant? That might have been helpful for you here, considering how hot it is. Damn it. That's what I get for trying to use Uber in Turkey.

~With a sigh, Vaughn just walks off, ignoring the shouts behind him from the driver, who probably has already called Triple A... or whatever it's equivalent is in Turkey. Vaughn doesn't care. He's got places to be. He breaks into a jog, carrying his bag on his shoulder.~

Peter Vaughn: Looks like some unexpected training!

~Vaughn's pace quickens again, and now he's running hard, the slight smile on his face showing that no matter how his personality is, he still enjoys the burst of adrenaline he gets from challenging himself. He also apparently has a good sense of direction, as soon the hotel he's headed for comes into view. Of course, it also shows he wasn't that far away from it, which might be the reason he decided to run rather than wait for another ride. Still, he's later than expected as he comes into the hotel.~

Peter Vaughn: I hate being late. But not much I can do about it now. Where did they say to go? The third floor? Or was it the second? Hmmm.

~Vaughn makes a choice, heading up the stairs to the third floor. He gets through the door, looking around, as he hears the elevator door ding.~

Peter Vaughn: Huh. Maybe I should have just used that.

~The door opens, and a waiter comes out, pushing a tray of food in front of him. Even with the lids closed, Vaughn can smell what's been prepared. He smiles.~

Peter Vaughn: Excuse me, is this for the Goth room?

~The waiter looks confused at Vaughn for a moment, but it's less of a language barrier and more of a 'phrasing' barrier. After a moment, he gets it.~

Waiter: Evet. It is for a Goth.

~Vaughn nods, studying the tray, and the tablecloth across it. He smiles as he pulls out his wallet.~

Peter Vaughn: Then have I got a deal for you...

~As Vaughn and the waiter continue to talk, we cut away.~

I really don't want to give HBC a raw deal.

By that, I mean I don't want to really portray him as the weak link in this tag-team match, even though I know many might think that way. I mean, sure, Milo's had a lot more success with championships. But as little success as HBC has had in title matches, he's still no slouch. You don't get to 16 wins in Sin City simply by showing up on time.

Hell, HBC has a win over Michael Harris, something I can't claim.

He also probably has the best name in Sin City. Seriously, even with "The Mechanic" added, my name is admittedly fairly generic. Miles Kasey? Sounds like a post office delivery man. Neither of our names really sound out of the ordinary. Then you have Goth, who has turned that nickname into a full-on warning of what's to come when you're facing him. But even that doesn't compare to Helluva... Bottom... Carter.

I'm sticking with calling you HBC just out of respect, but still, props on the name, once again. It serves a dual purpose of bragging about yourself, while also possibly making your unaware opponents come into the contest expecting an easy win. Many of those wins you've gotten has been due to your opponent's miscalculation, and I'm all for using whatever you've got to win.

That's basically my motto when it comes to pro wrestling.

So I'm not going to take you too lightly, HBC. I know you can be a threat. I know that underestimating you will lead to nothing but trouble. With all that said, I'm sorry, but pairing you next to Milo is a tough comparison. He and I are like two sides of a coin, having won the same championships here in SCW. We're ying and yang at this point. He could be my evil twin, not that he would ever admit to it. So obviously, people are going to compare the two of us in this competition, and that pairs you across the ring from the legendary Goth.

I mean, he has about as many wins in Sin City as we three do, COMBINED. How do you top that?

I don't think anyone has "HBC beats Goth" on their bingo card this year. Now, yes, you proved that you can have a miracle or two up your sleeve... but I'm curious to see what luck you've got left after Harris, and, y'know, after Milo. Because I'm afraid the odds are stacked against you, bro. You're going to be the main target for our team, and this time, I don't have to get out of the ring if Milo tags out. I can keep right on punching away, and that's what I plan to do.

You will be astounded by the double-teams that Goth and I have worked out together. They will be the maneuvers that you usually only see from Tag-Team Champions. Hell, Goth and I would try for those together, except, of course, it's Mixed Teams only, and neither of us can pull off a dress.

Plus he's retiring, so this may be my last chance to team with him. I want to make sure that this one comes with a victory. That means throttling the two of you.

Really, HBC, you did end up with a bad deal... by this match being signed. I guess Milo has a lot of faith in you, pushing for this fight. Surprisingly, I do, too. But I don't think it's going to matter.

One of you is going to the realm of the Gothic Dream. The other one might be taking the Plunge. I guess we'll see how it ends up, won't we?

Deal the cards and let's begin.

~We find ourselves inside the room of Goth and Melissa, where the two are patiently waiting for Goth's tag-team partner to arrive. There's a knock at the door.~

Goth: Finally.

~Melissa goes to the door and talks to the waiter there. She nods to him as he brings the room service cart into the room, placing it nearby. Melissa thanks him and gives him a tip, with the man quickly getting out of there.~

Melissa: Did that guy seem nervous to you, Gerrit?

Goth: You're too beautiful, Mel. Every man should feel goosebumps when around you.

~Melissa smiles as she pats Goth on the shoulder and walks past him.~

Melissa: Where do you think Peter is?

Goth: He might have gotten lost. I'll call him.

~As Goth gets out his phone, he fails to notice the room service cart moving behind him. Slowly, Peter Vaughn raises up behind it, smirking at the unsuspecting Goth.~

Goth: I guess his phone is off...

~As Goth turns towards Vaughn, he gives out a battle-cry, jumping upwards.~

Peter Vaughn: URRAAAHHH!!!!

~Goth doesn't break down or fall backwards. Instead, he reflexively swings, the punch barely missing Vaughn as he matrixes out of the way, leaning back as far as he can. Goth stumbles, then finally realizes who it is.~

Peter Vaughn: Hah! You should have seen your face!!

Goth: Peter!!!

~for a moment, Goth looks mad. But he can't help but laugh as well, as the two partners do a fist bump. Melissa, in the background, is just shaking her head.~

Goth: That was sneaky, Pete.

Peter Vaughn: I've been called that nickname before. What can I say? It's what I'm good at. And it worked for the Greek. Now let's sit down, play some cards, eat some food, and talk about how we're taking Milo & HBC down.

~With that, Vaughn works to get the cart over near the table, where a deck of cards is already waiting. His tag-team partner joins him, as they begin to prepare for another Climax Control war. We fade out.~

Climax Control Roleplays / For my New Found BFFL
« Last post by Crystal Zdunich on Today at 06:03:22 PM »
The cameras come into focus and as they do we are treated to the sight of Crystal Zdunich with a wicked grin on her face. She smiles as she stands next to a cardboard cutout of Tempest before her face meets with that of the camera.

“Ladies and gentlemen can we all just wish one of my new BFFLs a very happy birthday. Tempest is amazing and she is like the best Internet Champion to have ever stepped foot inside of an SCW ring. I am happy that I am her friend and seeing what went down on Climax Control when Mercedes Vargas stole a win over my AMAZING friend has pissed me off and I am not going to take it lightly…”

Crystal sighs as she shakes her head in disgust and continues to share her heart.

“Nobody and I mean should do that to Tempest especially not Mercedes Vargas. Vargas what has honestly gotten into you?! At one point I used to consider you a friend. You and I have brought that Argentinian and Mexican attitude to this company and we both have shown that Latinas can indeed do it so much better. it didn’t matter if we had to shout our Spanglish at people but at the end of the day we both proved that we are belonging and that everybody should take us seriously.”

She nods her head as she smirks and speaks some more.

“That is where the two of us were and I know you would be the first to constantly remind everybody that you have among most of the matches that a bombshell has ever had. You would throw yourself down at people’s throats and tell them how you were champion among champion. You did a lot to really throw yourself out there. I know you had the ability to beat Tempest fair but you had to resort into being a dirty little Bitch. You just had to use a pair of brass knuckles to take a cheap shot at her and that’s not right. I can’t even respect the way that you got to this title match because this so isn’t you but then again I remember that you are a woman who is way past her prime. You are at 44 years of age and are slowing down. I doubt you have it in you anymore to actually be a relevant star so these are the methods you have to resort to in order to bring yourself back to the spotlight…”

Crystal shakes her head as she crosses her arms.

“It’s ridiculous and I definitely don’t approve of what you did. It doesn’t sit well with me and it’s time for me to stand up and be that amazing friend to Tempest. I don’t know if you know this or not but I am the one who asked for this match because I felt it was in my interest to teach you a major lesson in ode to my great friend Tempie… You see Tempie and I are like super Biffles… Her daughter totes sees me as this hero and as the Winter Rose I need to showcase that I am always in full bloom and it really doesn’t matter the season that we are in. The only thing that does matter is that I need to go down to that ring and get your butt because that’s all that matters…

Let’s face it don’t Mercy you have talked yourself up. You have done so much in this company but you know fully well how much friends mean to me. You were there when in 3WL when Veronica Valiant had gotten the best of me. It was supposed to be your little team of VVMV but I had to get involved because I became an obsessed fan. I started to dress like Veronica, I started to think like Veronica. I even teamed up with you and carried you to tag team championships because I thought it would make her happy. When I am locked in on somebody that I appreciate I would do anything for them. So seeing as it’s my amazing friend’s birthday I plan to give her the best present that a girl could have ever asked for.

She is going to get the gift of me delivering a major butt kicking to you. I am going to show you that one shouldn’t have to cheat in order to get what you want. Honor and class still exists in the wrestling world and it’s going to be those things which elevates me to gaining a massive win over you. After I beat you I could talk to my newfound BFFL about more important things such as…”

Crystal smiles widely.

“CAKE FLAVORS… I mean I forgot if she liked butter cream or whipped cream, I forgot seeing as she sent me through the cake but surely it was a mistake at the time. I am sooooo show if we go back in time… Like Tempest!!! Yes in a totes David Carradine way. SHE TOTES WOULD NOT PUT ME THROUGH THE CAKE BECAUSE WE ARE SUPER DUPER AND AMAZING FRIENDS…. We can discuss other important things such as makeovers, the notebook, Twilight and maybe bond over BRIDGERTON… OMG this friendship will be amazing!  Anyway bring it on Mercedes, I will be waiting for you.

“Are you serious?” Eddie said, giving Coach Kaiser an annoyed look, “You’re bringing HER to SCW? Couldn’t you have brought Cleo instead?”

“Cleo will be returning to a rebranded PWS, with Jazz.” Coach Kaiser explained, “Look, you don’t need to worry about Victoria. She’s coming to SCW because I wanted her too, and I felt it’s time for The Lyons Den to push some more talent into the world. You’ve held it down for almost a year on your own, but you know that I want to give all my students a chance.”

“What about Vincent and Alex?” Eddie questioned.

“I know, I know. I’m hoping for them to be a tag team somewhere. But I needed to pull Victoria away from them. It’s time she tried doing this on her own.” Coach Kaiser explained.

Eddie sighed, he knew Coach Kaiser was just doing his job, he shouldn’t be so selfish. Victoria was annoying but as long as she stayed in her lane and out of Eddies, she shouldn’t be too much of a problem. He took a drink of his water bottle, before sitting on a nearby bench, Coach Kaiser took a seat beside him, as a few passersby continued along the trail.

Eddie knew the real threat that was ahead of him, and it wasn’t his crazy cousin. It was the man who had been injecting fear into the hearts of many SCW fans, and superstars alike. The one only known as The Entity.

“Do you really think I can beat him?” asked Eddie, “The Entity? I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous.”

Coach Kaiser furrowed his brow and looked Eddie in the eyes.

“Of course you can.” he said with a nod, “It’s okay to be nervous, but never doubt yourself. All you need to remember, is The Entity is simply a man.  He can talk in all the riddles he wants. He can put on his spooky overgrown emo kid act all he wants. But he’s still nothing more than a man, like you and me. HBC already proved he can be beaten, and remind me again who made HBC tap out a few months ago?”

“I did, but…HBC wasn't...or rather he didn't...” Eddie started, but his Coach went on, interrupting him

“..And since then you’ve only gotten better AND became a champion.” Coach Kaiser continued, “That happened because you fought hard and earned it. You earned the respect of Peter Vaughn because you fought hard and you earned it. The Entity just has his mind games, he wants you to be afraid. You’re not afraid are you?”

“Of course not.” Eddie said,  almost as if he felt insulted at the suggestion.

“Good.” Coach Kaiser nodded, “Because you shouldn’t be. You need to give him a reason to fear YOU.”

Eddie nodded, Coach Kaiser was right. The Entity liked to come across scary and intimidating. But beneath all that he was nothing more than a man. A dangerous man who was prone to violence, but a man none then less.

“He will.” Eddie nodded, “I will expose him when I become the first man to beat him.”

“HBC did that already…” said Coach Kaiser confused

“I mean without tricks.” Eddie smiled, “HBC did defeat him, but with all due respect it was really do to some quick, albeit clever thinking on Carters part. I intend to just flat out beat The Entity, and prove to everyone he really isn’t all that scary.”

“Thats the spirit.” Kaiser said with a smile patting his student on the back. “Don’t forget, we got Aiden Reynolds at Into The Void. He’s the real deal, so we have to be ready for him as well. I know he and Dickie had to deal with Alex and his goon friends back in PWS.  I know Alex takes credit for ridding PWS of The Commonwealth, but this isn’t PWS and you aren’t Alex.  we can focus on Aiden more later, but you need to keep him in the back of your mind."

“I know, and I have a ton of respect for Aiden, he’s a good dude just  trying to do the best he can out there, and be the best he can be. Sort of like myself. We both just want to be the best and I can respect that. But if I focus too much on Aiden now, I’ll lose sight of The Entity." said Eddie

Coach Kaiser smiled, “You’re learning more every day.” he said proudly.

“Thanks Coach.” Eddie replied in kind.

“C’mon let’s find our way off this trail, and find a place to eat, then we can find a gym or something.” said Coach Kaiser

Eddie nodded in agreement, and the two continued their walk down the nature trail. Eddie knew where his path was taking him over the next few weeks, and he knew what threats lay ahead. Aiden was going to fight as hard as he could to make his own name. Eddie however had a his own name to make, and that meant continuing on as Roulette Champion for as long as possible. As for The Entity, he could try all the riddles and spooky imagery he wanted. It wasn’t going to break Eddie, no rather The Entity would discover one that could not be broken. He would discover why Eddie Lyons is UNBREAKABLE.

__________

Darkness. That’s all the SCW cameras are able to pickup as they open on the scene A hooded figure emerges from the darkness holding a torch and wearing a druid robe, as they draw closer we can see the face of Eddie Lyons underneath the hood, illuminated by the flames.

“Is this how it’s done?” Eddie said through the confident smirk on his face, “Come out through the shadows, all spooky and say a bunch of spooky jargon about bringing chaos and destruction, and go into a bunch of riddles about your opponent?”

Eddie laughs to himself, staying illuminated by the flame.

“I can almost hear it now..”  Eddie continued, “Eddie Lyons is a flash in the pan. You’ll break the man who claims to be unbreakable. Some crap about my last name relating to the apex predator I share it with. Maybe you’ll even compare me to Icarus or something because of my quick rise. I’m sure whatever you have to say will be full of all of it. You want revenge for whatever wrongs you feel have befallen you from this company, so now you want to shroud all of us in the darkness with you”

Eddie extinguishes the flame, putting the entire scene in darkness, to where only his voice is heard.

“But the darkness, it’s not so scary.” Eddie said, “You know I consider myself an honorable guy. I do my best to make the right choices, do the right things. Follow a good path, because if there’s one thing that can expel darkness……it’s light.”

Suddenly, the room lights up. Eddie stands, now in jeans and a white t-shirt. The room is well light, with clean white walls lining it, the Roulette Championship rests on his shoulder.

“When I won this, I promised to be a champion of the people.” Eddie said, “And that’s just what I intend to be. That means I need to stand up for SCW against this pestilence that seeks to destroy it. This is the first company to give me a real chance, and I owe it to Mark and Christian to do my part in making sure the likes of you don’t destroy it. I don’t know what they did to upset you so much, but to me you sound like nothing more than a crybaby who didn’t get what they wanted.”

Eddie grins, allowing and wanting his words to sink in.

“Yeah a crybaby. That’s exactly what you are. Don’t like hearing it, too bad.” Eddie said sternly, keeping a fearless look on his face, “Didn’t renew my contract, replaced me with Goth. Get over it. Move on. Simply put, GET THE FUCK OVER IT.

Eddie’s eyebrows furrow, and his expression grows into a more serious, somewhat angry looking tone.

“This is the guy I’m supposed to fear?” Eddie continued, “Because all I hear from him is a whole lot of bitching and complaining over and over. All I see is a man who attacked one of the owners of this company. All I see is a man who HBC made a fool of. So you’ve won a few matches along the way. Guess what, so have I, and I have something you don’t. A championship.”

Eddie motions to and glances down at the Roulette Championship on his shoulder.

“I fought like hell to earn this.” he continued, "When Peter Vaughn beat me down time after time, did I get angry and blame Rodrigo Afonso because he won the briefcase? No, I pulled myself up and kept fighting. Now I stand before you a champion, and if you think for a second I’m going to be some sort of pushover, then you better rethink your strategy. Because one thing is for certain, and that’s underneath the mask and all the spooky riddles you are still just a man. You bleed as red as I do, and I imagine both of us will once this is all over. Point is, you may be a crazy man, even a violent man, but you’re still a man and men can be defeated.”

Eddie pauses for a moment, keeping an aura of confidence and not showing any fear of Entity.

“I don’t speak in riddles either.” Eddie continued on, “I will be straightforward and tell you that I think deep down, you are just a coward who needs this dark image to make himself feel tough. I will be straight forward when I tell you that a fight is coming your way that you’re going to need more than clever wordplay to defeat. I will be straightforward and tell you that I am going to fucking kick your ass, because you deserve it.”

From the look in his eyes, Eddie is at the very least speaking his own truth. He clearly has a disdain for Entity and his actions and is coming to teach him a lesson. Wether it goes well for him or now remains to be seen, but Eddie is definitely fired up and ready.

“Sunday will be the day of your downfall.” Eddie continued, “When I show the world that you are nothing more than some failed high school drama act. Peel away the spooky persona and you’re no different than myself, J2H, Miles Kasey or anyone else you’ve encountered in your time here. You need people to fear you to thrive. When someone doesn’t fear you, that’s when the cracks form and that’s when you will break. Because try as you might, you will not break me. I will always come back, always keep fighting because I am Eddie Lyons. I am the SCW Roulette champion and I am UNBREAKABLE.

Eddie raises his championship in the air. The camera focus on Eddie and his ready and focused aura, as the scene slowly fades out.

__________

He knew their paths would cross sooner or later, Eddie was just hoping for the latter. All he wanted was to get a workout in before his match with the Entity on Climax Control. Now his cousin Victoria had signed her own contract, and no here she was ready to pester Eddie.

“Did you follow me here Victoria?” asked Eddie annoyed as he put down his weights to look his cousin in her eyes.

“It’s a gym Eddie.”
replied Victoria with a flair of arrogance, “It’s where you always are. You’re very predictable cousin.”

“If you’re just here to mock me, get it over with.” said Eddie annoyed, “Just know that I don’t really care what you have to say.”

“Dear cousin!” Victoria said with feigned surprise, “How could you accuse me of such things? I’m here because I think I can help you.”

“And why would you help me?” Eddie replied nonchalantly.

“Because we’re family of course.” smiled Victoria.

“Yeah, you’re not going to play those tricks on me like you did Alex and Vincent.” said Eddie, “My advice to you is to worry about your own career. SCW’s women's division is one of the toughest around. If you;re going to succeed in it you should stop worrying about what I’M doing.”

Victoria frowned, she wasn’t the type who liked being told no.

“You can’t beat the Entity without my help.” she growled, “You need me to help you reach that dark place.”

“No. I don’t.” said Eddie, “I won the Roulette Championship on my own, and I did it my way. I can beat the Entity, and I can do it MY WAY.

Victoria laughed.

“You don’t know what revenge does to a person do you?” she said, “You haven’t hated someone so much it fuels your every desire. Every waking moment you just want to deliver justice to that person.”

“No, because I don’t hate anyone, and I handle my business more professionally.” Eddie replied.

“You’ll understand some day.” Victoria replied, “You’re still the little lion cub of this family. You dont know the hatred Vincent and I have for Eden and HWL,. The hatred we have for Renee Jonae. Names that may not mean anything to you or anyone else, but to me and Vincent they are the ones who did us wrong and we still owe them a receipt.”

“Your contracts ended in HWL over five years ago.” Eddie replied, “Don’t you think it’s time to move on?”

“Like I said, you just don’t get it.” she said, “What about Alex? How do you think he feels? He was abandoned by those who called him family in PWS. First it was Tyson Sykes, but he was dealt with. The real blow came when the company closed and he was left to rot by Jonathan Sanders and Dionysus. The vengeance he has for those two has only fueled his rage further. He still seems to have some loyalties to Alexandra Calaway so I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt, but I got my eyes on her too.”

“Sounds like a whole lot of not my business.” said Eddie. “Why don’t you think about why you’re really here?”

Victoria raised an eyebrow intrigued

“And tell me dear cousin, why am I here?” she asked.

“Think about it, why just you?” Eddie said, “No Vincent, no Alex. Coach Kaiser only chose you to be here. It’s because he wants to to move on from your past. Everywhere you’ve gone, be it PWE, HWL or Wrestling Coalition,  Vincent has been with you, or you with him. In OCW you had Alex with you as well. Now it’s just you. Coach Kaiser wants you to create your own path without your “boys”.

“Then he will get what he wants.” she smirked “Unlike you, I’ll be willing to go to dark places to reach my goals. My message will be spread to the masses. You’ll come to understand soon enough. That we are stronger together. Good luck against the Entity. If you ever need advice getting to that dark place, just remember your family is here for you.”

She smirked and gave Eddie a boop on the nose before leaving him to his business, and going about her own. Eddie shook his head and rolled his eyes as she walked away before going back to his workout.

__________

Eddie sat in the back corner of a locker room, towel around his neck looking as if he just finished a workout, the cameras rest on him for a moment before catching his gaze as he begins to speak.

“You know, there are things I appreciate about you Entity.” Eddie began, “Because underneath all the whining, there is a talented athlete. One that forces me to try and be a little bit better than I usually am. The same way Peter Vaughn came at me, and the same I’m expecting from Aiden Reynolds in a few weeks.”

Eddie takes in a breath and uses the towel to wipe his forehead.

“But unlike Peter and Aiden, both of whom I respect. I have no respect for you.” said Eddie, “No riddles about it, you are nothing more than an evil bastard with no conscience. I for one have already grown tired of hearing you complain about HIM, or I guess I should say Goth. Tired of hearing about whatever happened 10 years ago with SCW. Maybe you were wronged, I don’t know because ten years ago I was twelve. But it’s time to move on, seriously. Grudges are for the weak. You’re not weak are you Entity?”

Eddie smirks confidently at the camera, trying to to play mind games of his own.

“Of course not.” Eddie continued, “I’m not so foolish as to underestimate you in anyway. But something tells me you’re the type to underestimate me. You’re going to find out the hard way that thinking that way is a mistake. I’m like your boss getting upset because you asked him for less on your paycheck. Unbelievable. Peter Vaughn discovered that, when I kept coming back each and every time I got beat down. So you really should listen to me when I tell you that riddles and mind games won’t  be enough. I am going to be your biggest challenge to date, and I’m going to change your entire perspective because I am going to make you realize how not scary you really are. You’re going to have to figure out how to defeat someone who is not afraid of the dark, because he is a warrior of light and as we all know light will always expel darkness.”

Eddie takes in another breath as he continues on.

“Everything about you is built on getting your opponent to fear you, and as someone who grew up in this business, there’s always someone like you.”  Eddie continued, “Someone who likes to be all spooky and mysterious. In the old days they would call themselves Justin Sane. My Coach once feuded with one calling himself X Dragon, then were was The Ravaged. They all come in being spooky, mysterious and violent. It’s nothing new to me, so why would I fear it?”

Eddie shrugs.

“I asked for better competition, and it’s being given to me.” Eddie continued, “So now I need to respond in kind by upping my game and proving I deserve higher competition. If I can take you down before you can spread your pestilence through the locker room, it’ll be a good start. Once I prove how fallible you are, others will step up and realize they can do it too. Then little by little, nobody fears you anymore and you lose, well everything that makes you…you.”

Eddie smirks confidently again.

“HBC got the ball rolling when he made you look like a fool.” said Eddie, “And I will keep it going when I beat you, with no excuses or cute tricks. No disrespect to HBC of course. I just want to do my part and put a stop to Entity before things really get out of control, and mark my words if we let him, they will. But it’s okay because I’m not going to let him. If I have to start to lead a charge, I will. But first I need to beat Entity in front of the world, and with honor before glory I will.”

Eddie rubs his palms together, as he takes in one last breath.

“I like to consider myself something of a wild card.” Eddie said, “You never know what to expect from me, or what I might throw your way. But you know I’m capable of damn near anything. I’m certainly capable of beating you Entity, which you will find out come Climax Control. Your attempt at a reign of terror is going to come to an end before it can even really start, because whatever happens in our match, I will never stop until you are finished once and for all.”

Eddie gives his usual confident gaze at the camera as it fades out to black.

_________

Eddie stared daggers across the table at his older cousin. This time Coach Kaiser, who had called this summit in the first place sat between them.

“Okay.” said Coach Kaiser, “So I know the two of you don’t get along…”

“I’m not teaming with her.” Eddie jumped in.

“I know..please, let me finish.” said Coach Kaiser

“Yeah, don’t be rude” Victoria said, smirk on her face.

“Victoria stop.” Coach Kaiser continued, “This is what I mean. I want success for the both of you. I don’t want either of you being an obstacle in the others career. I won’t force you to team together so don’t worry about that. You can come to that decision on your on, if you so desire later on.”

“We won’t.” said Eddie.

“I’ll agree to that.” said Victoria.

“Good, because I need YOU to focus on Entity.” Coach Kaiser said darting his eyes at Eddie

“And I need YOU.. he said darting his eyes at Victoria, “To worry about your debut. You’re most likely going to be booked on the next Climax Control so maybe think about getting ready for that.”

Both students glared at one another but said nothing.

“As your Coach, I’m giving you the freedom to act as you please, because I want you to be yourselves out there.” Coach Kaiser continued, “I want success for both of you, because I want success for The Lyons Den. So I don’t want either of you trying to put obstacles in each others way.”

“You don’t need to worry about me Coach.” said Eddie, “I’m not worried about her. I’m focused on being Roulette Champion. She can do as she pleases, just keep me out of it.”

“Oh I will do as I please.” Victoria smirked, "I am putting the entire women's division on notice. A lioness is on the prowl now and none of them are safe, not their champions not anyone.”

“Great!” exclaimed Eddie, “Go do that, go punch Kallie Reznik in the face, go attack Kayla Richards to send a message, go after Alexandra Calaway over some bullshit about Alex. Just leave me out of it.”

“And you don’t come complaining to me when my career outshines yours, and the only Lyons these fans care about is it’s head lioness.”  Victoria replied arrogantly.

“Well, maybe win a championship first.” Eddie replied, “Then we can talk about which of us is better.”

“See, that’s what I mean.” said Coach Kaiser shaking his head, “You two shouldn’t worry about outshining each other. You should focus on being the best you can be for The Lyons Den, for our school. You should want success for each other, because that helps all of us, it helps Cleo, it helps Jazz and it helps Vincent and Alex.”

“Vincent and Alex, who you left behind.” says Victoria giving Coach Kaiser an accusing gaze.

“Yeah, I chose not to get them contracts.” said Coach Kaiser, “One I need to balance myself. I can’t coach all of you at once, and I’m pushing myself with four of my talents out there now, thankfully Cleo will help out some with Jazz, but I got a full plate. I chose you because, I do agree with some of your complaints.”

Both of the Lyons looked at their coach curiously

“You haven’t been given a real chance, ever.” Coach Kaiser said, “Vincent had his time in WWH, but it closed before you got a chance to get your momentum going. You got some momentum in PWE, but they closed just as you became Victory Champion, and Wrestling Coalition? Well that sort of ended before it even started. SCW is different though Victoria. This is where you will be tested for real, and you’re going to do it on your own. You wanted a chance, well this is it.”

No arguments from either student on that one.

“Are we done here?” asked Eddie, “Because I do have a tough opponent to prepare for, and would like to get back to that.”

“I have my own business to deal with as well. Scouting this new division, see which prey looks the tastiest.” smirked Victoria.

“Can we shake hands at least?” asked Coach Kaiser

The two cousins just glared at one another.

“Yeah..didn’t think so.” Coach Kaiser shrugged, “Go on. Do what ever you need to.”

Eddie and Victoria both made their leave, in separate directions. Leaving Coach Kaiser by himself to sigh heavily.

“What am I going to do about those two…” he muttered.

ME AND ROUX WILL DEFEAT LUNA PASILNO AND SEAN PARKER AND MOVE AND WILL MOVE CLOSER TO THE BLAST FROM THE PAST FINAL MATCH

Narrator:  Welcome to my opening comments for today concerning the Blast From The Past Tournament match where Bill Barnhart and Roux face off against the team of Luna Pasilno and Sean Parker. This should prove to be an interesting and exciting match. I will now turn you over to Bill Barnhart for his comments concerning his upcoming match.

OPENING COMMENTS

The scene shifts and we are taken to the lobby of the Courtyard Hotel located in Troy, Turkey. As the camera pans around the lobby the camera person stops panning the room when they see Bill and Bea Barnhart sitting in the lobby. The camera person sets up their camera to that the camera shot will be steady. The camera person informs Bill and Bea they are live broadcasting.

Bill:  Before I launch into comments concerning my upcoming Blast From The Past Tournament, where me and my partner Roux take on Luna Pasilno and Sean Parker, I want to share a video with you of a recent interaction I had with our English Bulldog Iris, during a video call, once my Blast From The Past Tournament match for Climax Control 394 was announced..

The video begins to play and we watch to see what happens.

Bill:  Iris are you ready for a question and answer session?

Iris:  Woof!

Bill:  Iris what do you think of my opponent Sean Parker?

Iris:  RUFF!

Bill:  Iris I agree with your evaluation of Sean Parker. I see Sean as rough around the edges and I also see that this match is going to be rough on Sean as I am going to be extremely rough on him during the match. What else do you have to say about Sean Parker?

Iris:  *Iris squats and pees* She then stands up and kicks her feet back like she does when she covers her pee or poop when Bill takes her for a potty break walk.

Bill:  Ahhh!!! You are telling me that Sean Parker is terrified to be facing me in this match and that when he realizes what he got himself into he is likely to piss in his wrestling trunks. Is there anything else you wish to state Iris?

Iris:  *Iris lets out a growl and a snort*

Bill:  Oooooo!!! You really do not like Sean Parker eh? I also do not like him and I plan on making quick work of him in the match. Thanks for your time to answer my questions Iris.

Iris: Iris lets out a Woof! Bark! and a Yip! Then Iris rolls on her back to ask for a tummy rub but since Bill is on a video call with Iris he cannot reach out and rub her tummy.

Bill:  Sorry Iris but we are half way around the world so you have to get our neighbor, Andrew, to rub your tummy and hug and kiss you as he is the one taking care of you until we return from this tour. Thanks for your time Iris!

The video call video ends and the camera person returns to a live shot of Bill and Bea Barnhart.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON BILL’S BLAST FROM THE PAST TOURNAMENT MATCH

Bill:  Well, Sean, soon we will step into the ring and finalize this Blast From The Past Tournament match. We do not have any history against each other in the ring. However there is important information I wish to relate to the viewers. I come into this match at 6 feet 4 inches in height and 240 pounds in weight. You come into this match at 5 feet 10 inches in height and 215 pounds in weight. With me having a 6 inch height advantage and 25 pounds of weight advantage over you when you are in the ring against me you become a major liability for your team.

Bea:  Yep! Poor Sean is not going to fare well against you in the match.

Bill:  And, Sean, if you somehow manage to get away from me and tag out to Luna for her to get into the match she will end up getting the stuffing beat out of her by Roux. So regardless of which one of you is the legal wrestler in the match you are going to be defeated by our team.

Bea:  As the official, and legal, Manager for Bill I will be in the corner of Bill and Roux to ensure the Referee calls the match properly, that there is no cheating from Luna or Sean, and that their team does not hire interference in the match.

Bill:  If you see poor calls by the Referee you need to inform them where they are failing. If you see Sean or Luna cheating and violating the rules then you need to inform the Referee of their cheating and rule breaking. And for sure if you spot people trying to interfere in the match you have to inform the Referee of the interference then you have full authority to beat down those who are trying to interfere in the match on behalf of Lune and Sean.

Bea:  You know I am always aware of what is going on in, and around, your matches while I am serving as your Manager.

HOW DOES BILL BARNHART SEE OPPONENTS?

Bill:  I will address you first, Sean, since Luna is not facing off against me in the ring as she has to face Roux. I am going to relate a situation that happened while I was driving around Lawrenceville, Georgia. As I am driving to get to the various locations I had a driver make an unusually stupid maneuver in their car. This idiot driver nearly hit several cars including mine. Then they tried to maneuver their car to get back into the correct lane of traffic but they were in such an odd position that it was taking them a long time and they had traffic backed up in both directions.

Bea:  There sure are a lot of stupid drivers out there Bill.

Bill:  Just like there are a lot of stupid wrestlers out there Bea. The next thing I know with this dumb ass driver is that they open their car door and get out of their car. So instead of trying to get their car back in the correct lane, to help clear up the traffic jam they caused, they are just standing there looking around like they did not do anything stupid.

Bea:  Tell the viewers, and Sean and Luna, what you did next.

Bill:  I got in the face of this idiot driver and gave them a verbal ass kicking. I screamed at them IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE THEN GET THE HELL OUT OF YOUR CAR, THROW YOUR CAR KEYS AWAY, RETURN YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE TO THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF DRIVER SERVICES, STHEN TAKE UBER INSTEAD OF BEING A HAZARD ON THE ROADS!!!

Bea:  What did the driver do after you verbally kicked their ass?

Bill:  They tried to turn it around to make me look like the person causing the trouble. I reminded them that they are causing the trouble and I am resolving their stupidity. They got back into their car and made a phone call. I yelled at them to make sure they call UBER to drive them around since they have no clue how to drive and they are a hazard to other drivers. Then I turned around and got back into my car and managed to get back into clear traffic.

Bea:  How does that incident relate to your wrestling?

Bill:  When I have to wrestle against moronic, stupid, inept, incompetent, and downright stupid, wrestlers I give them basically the same comment I gave to the stupid driver but it goes like this:  IF YOU DON’T KNOW HOW TO WRESTLE THEN GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WRESTLING RING AND GET THE HELL OUT OF THE SPORT OF WRESTLING INSTEAD OF BEING A HAZARD IN THE WRESTLING RING!!! I mean, come on Bea, if someone is an incompetent wrestler then their mistakes can cause harm to those they wrestle against. So they need to get out of the sport of wrestling and go into a safer line of work like maybe being a vendor of snacks at the wrestling events.

Bea:  Ha ha ha!!! The mental image I just got from your comments has me amused.

CLOSING COMMENTS

Bill:  Bea is there anything you wish to add to our comments for today before I launch into my closing comments?

Bea:  Yes I do have an item I wish to bring up. For Into The Void XIII Management booked a Grudge Match between me and Nakita Niles. There is a saying that you should look before you dive into a swimming pool because there may not be water in the pool and you will crash and get hurt. Well, Nakita, you got the Grudge Match at Into The Void XIII and another saying goes BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR AS YOU MIGHT JUST GET IT. And, yes, you got it and will get it when I destroy you in our Grudge Match. My desire is that Management makes it a Hardcore Rules match so I can prove how great I am in Hardcore Rules matches. Thanks, Bill, for giving me time to present the truth to Nakita Niles. The rest of the air time is yours Bill.

Bill:  Sean. . .you have no idea what your involvement in our match is going to mean for you. You are likely to have your wrestling career ended by the amount of damage I put on you. And NO, Sean, your Tag Team Partner, Luna, will not want to get into the ring and go one-on-one with Roux. If Luna does get tagged in then she will most likely immediately tag out to you so that you will be the one who receives the beat down to cause your team to lose the match instead of her.

Bill motions with a fist slamming into his other hand to show that he will squash Sean Parker like a bug.

Bill:  Sean I ask you to please do not be upset when your Tag Team loses to me and Roux. If you are going to get upset over a loss in the sport of wrestling then you need to get out of the sport of wrestling and do some other line of work.

Bill laughs loudly.

Bill:  I promise you that me and Roux will defeat you and Luna quickly so that your pain and suffering will not last for a long time. You will thank us for the quick loss you take to us once you realize we did you a favor of saving you from additional humiliation in the Blast From The Past Tournament. Your team’s loss to me and Roux will be so quick it will be quicker than a flash of lightning that knocks out the power. It will happen so quickly that you and Luna will have to watch the replay of the ending of our match as you will not be able to remember what happened to you two. I want you two to enjoy your lost as Roux and I are damn sure going to enjoy our win over you!

Bill informs the camera person that he is done with his comments for his Blast From The Past Tournament match. The camera person calls into the Network to inform them that Bill is done with his comments and they cut the feed to that camera and return to regularly scheduled programming for this time slot.

Climax Control Roleplays / A True Blast From The Past
« Last post by Sean Parker on Today at 01:54:47 PM »
Scene One
Off-Camera

It had been a few months now since my first interaction with the mysterious and downright terrifying enigma that was Vita Mors. Months since I’d been invited to Vita Towers following the TRIAD Wit Trials Draft Party. I remembered the conversations I’d had beforehand with his company’s Head of Relations, Ashton Mire. The revelations about being granted visions of memories past, present and future. Even now, having experienced the trauma of revisiting a past I thought I needed to see along with so many others, it still blows my mind.

I remembered the cold, chilling voice of Mors asking me what I wished to see and telling him about my dad. Killed in action overseas 25 years ago when I was barely a toddler. I remembered desperately wanting to know what it would have been like to have known him.

I remember the image of Mors stretching his arms out wide, his fingers curling and flexing, like he was almost digging his fingers into something. I remember not being able to believe what I was witnessing, as he pulled from opposite corners with openings beginning to appear in the vast nothingness. He was literally tearing through the fabric of reality.

I watched his body stiffen as he pulled his hands towards each other slowly, with each movement, the tears in the empty space opening wider. The Latin incantations followed, the ones that would soon become a part of my own rituals.

“Pater merui.”

The marks upon his mask had lit up. Little invisible runes carved into his own skin had begun to pulse with a blue light, illuminating against his flesh. The sleeves of his robe had fallen to reveal his arms covered in an array of different runes and sigils. His hands had then finally come together, a loud clap echoing through the space. Instead of the red mist shimmering beyond the window now stood a scene. A window within a window. A glimpse into another time, another place. Another world.

I remembered his words.

“A tear in time, and beyond it. We see what your heart desires. Look, and see what I can offer.”

Vita Mors had said with a bit of strain. And then his hand on my shoulder. That one touch was all it took. I would not just see the events through a viewfinder. From behind a window. No, this was more than that. I was going to live this memory. This… absence of space where Mors granted me access to… he called it the Void, the absence of nothing but a gateway of everything… a place I would become very familiar with in the months to come. And then there was the device. A gift, he’d called it, a gesture of good faith. Like some sort of futuristic pocket watch. But where the clock face should have been was… nothing. A small part of The Void itself contained within the glass of the pocket watch. All I had to do was visualise what I wanted to see and say the Latin incantation.

In the months since that fateful interaction, I had become quite adept at traversing the Void with my new toy. Tesla’s experiments with electricity, glimpses into what my own career and what life with my family would have been like. But one memory in particular I frequented more than anything was one I never thought I’d want to relive.

April 29th 2013. The day that changed the course of both my career as a professional wrestler and a person, for the rest of my life.

HWA. The Hardcore Wrestling Alliance. The first company I cut my teeth with as a pro, a fresh-faced sixteen year-old kid who only wanted to follow in his uncle’s footsteps. My uncle was Butch Parker. They called him the “One Man Tartan Army” because that’s what he was like in the ring, a literal one man army. Eight-time world champion, hall of famer, the most bad-ass pro wrestler I’d ever seen and all I wanted was to be like him.

April 29th 2013. HWA’s Ring Master tournament, the pinnacle of their calendar, a gruelling one-night tournament where the winner would be crowned the Ring Master, catapulting them into the main event stratosphere. Uncle Butch had won the tournament in his pay-per-view debut back in 2004 before going on to win the HWA World Championship four times. I remembered desperately wanting to emulate him and make him proud.

Like I said, It wasn’t the first time I’d revisited this memory. I rolled the pocket watch-like device between my thumb and forefinger, as if it were a poker chip I was contemplating throwing into the betting pile. I watched the scene unfold, like I’d done countless times before.

The crowd was roaring as I watched my 16 year-old self climb the ropes, recalling the feeling of the adrenaline coursing through my veins. I gazed at myself leaping into the air, preparing for a death-defying move, feeling invincible. But fate had a different plan. As I soared through the air, executing the move I had practised countless times, something went horribly wrong. My landing was off and I crashed awkwardly into my opponent’s upturned knees. Every time I watched it, I could still feel the impact sending a jolt of excruciating pain through my spine. I knew instantly that something was terribly, horribly wrong.

I watched my body go limp, and remembered that all-too-familiar eerie numbness spreading through my legs. Then a different sensation…like I’d just been stabbed with a searing hot poker straight through my belly button and into my back. I watched as I desperately tried to move, to will my legs to respond, but they remained still, lifeless. Tears welled in both sets of eyes as I realised the gravity of the situation—I couldn’t feel my legs. The pain was excruciating at first and then, what came next was nothing short of terrifying. I felt nothing. Fear had taken over. The crowd had fallen silent to the point I remember actually hearing the commentators at ringside.

“Holy shit! We need some help out here,” shouted play-by-play commentator Vanessa Lang, “Sean needs help!”

I watched Uncle Butch sprint down the ramp from backstage to ringside in the quickest of flashes, tears in his own eyes as he tried to calm me down. Suddenly, I heard another voice. A voice I recognised all too well. I knew that because I literally felt a chill run through my very soul.

“My, my, you have been very busy, haven’t you, Mr Parker?” Vita Mors said, placing a hand down on my shoulder. With his other hand he snapped his fingers and everything froze.

“It’s fascinating, the things we can see. The worlds that exist when we ask for them to reveal themselves. I’ve been wondering, Sean. Do you know why I’ve given you this ability? Why have I felt so compelled to give access to things beyond comprehension, asking practically nothing in return?” Mors spoke, his gaze seemed to be fixed on the scene before them. Though behind the mask it was hard to tell.

I was still trying to get over my shock of Mors being here. Harvey Marx had hinted before that my movements within the Void were being…watched…. But still, seeing him here with me was unsettling. I didn’t actually know the answer to Mors’ question. Truth be told, I wasn’t sure I wanted to.

“Have you been watching me this entire time? Everything I’ve seen? I followed your instructions! I didn’t break any rules, I’ve not shared this with anyone. Visualisation, connection, experience, language and peace. I’ve followed all of them...”

I followed his apparent gaze watching the frozen frame of my uncle Butch looking heartbroken, clinging to my hand.

“Why are you here? How can you be here?”

“Please, do not worry. This isn’t ridicule, Mr Parker. No, this is more a… social visit. My legs grow numb sitting in that office. That’s why I’m here, in fact. You, and others like you? You’re my eyes to this world. I can make anything happen, show anybody what can, could and will be. Pluck reality’s strings and make them play my tune. I am, however, trapped.” Mors spoke, taking his hand off my shoulder and walking forward. Walking toward my uncle Butch, crouching to look at his hand holding mine.

“How am I here? I am because I want it to be. Think of me less as a… person. More of an extension of the Void itself. I both exist, and I don’t. Comprehension of that is not so clear cut, and yet. I exist all the same. A god, shackled by the rules of reality. That’s another way to look at it. Yet the poignant question, why am I here? Why do you think I’m here, Sean?” Mors spoke, his voice echoing around the frozen world. Crouching, but now looking directly at the frozen version of myself. I sighed, puffing my cheeks out. I reached out and touched him and that same pain I felt all the way back in 2013 coursed through my back. My eyes widened and I grimaced, flinching and then… nothing. Like a phantom pain, it came and went just as quickly.

“At this stage… I have no idea… I’ve learned that when it comes to you, nothing is ever what it seems…”

“Two reasons really. Nothing malicious, I promise you. One, to simply say that I am watching. Not always, but at times. I’d lose myself to it all if I tried to pay attention all the time. Millions of realities in an instant, it can be taxing to always listen to them. Suffice it to say, I enjoy seeing what you’re doing. A nattering middle-manager if you will. I just like to see my work paying off.” Mors reached over and placed a hand over mine.

“The second? I need you to do something for me, Mr Parker. You’re very close to another one of my assets, currently. In fact, you’re currently befriending that very man’s wife. I need you to show her… this.” Mors said before standing up, stretching his hands to the world around us. Spinning on the spot, to look off at nothing.

“Not this particular event, of course. I need you to show her what she needs to see. Whatever it may be. For I need Mr Rabenschwarz to open his mind to the potential of what I can give. He’s being a little more… more reluctant than I had anticipated.”

What the hell?! My mind raced. What was Alexander Raven doing with Vita Mors? Just how far did his reach go? Raven and I hadn’t shared much in terms of social interactions besides a few forced pleasantries. In fact, my most vivid memory of Alexander Raven was him trying to split my head open in Cambodia back at the conclusion of the TRIAD Strength Trials. And now Mors wanted me to show Luna the Void as part of some scheme he had with Raven?

I looked away from the scene in front of me for the first time since Mors had appeared.

“And exactly is it that Luna needs to see?” I asked. “I’m already caught up in so many webs as it is, Mors, with the Great Illuminatus, our deal with Harvey Marx… at this rate, you’re running out of pockets to keep me in…”

“Anything, Mr Parker. Talk to her, find out what it is her heart desires and then show her a world in which it could be. A world in which it could be for them both. You’re playing a role here. I may be giving, but I am not benevolent. Payment comes with everything, and you’ve seen what happens when people refuse to pay.” Mors said, turning to face me once more. His head tilted just slightly.

“I do not care how, but you will show her. The subtle touch does not work for those who distrust the world itself. There’s a certain irony in the delusional conspiracies of a man who thinks the invisible hands are manipulating fate. For you’ll be making his doubts manifest. You are my eyes, Sean. Mr Rabenschwarz? He is already my vessel. I just need him to accept what I give.”

My mind raced again. What have you gotten yourself into, Alex? I asked myself. I thought about Luna too. We had grown closer as friends since our pairing had been announced for SCW’s Blast From The Past Tournament. And now suddenly I was being tasked with plunging her into the Void and showing her a world that she didn’t even know existed. My mind then suddenly flashed back to the first conversation we’d had, that hilarious video chat with her dog running rampant and me trying to multitask whilst I was holding my baby daughter, Amelia.

“I think I have an idea.”

“Good.” Mors said, taking a few steps off into the distance. “Enjoy whatever peace you are finding in this. I’ll see you very soon.”

One more snap of the fingers, and he was gone. Life returning to the world before me.

To say the last month or so had been tumultuous for me would be the understatement of the century. I’ve got my fingers in so many pies, it’s any wonder I can keep track of everything that’s going on. So much has happened, even since mine and Luna’s victory in the opening round of the Blast From The Past Tournament. Still, this is the life we’ve all chosen. Professional wrestlers. Warriors. Fighters. Every single one of us. Along with the sacrifices we make each time we step into the hallowed squared circle. Just like the ancient warriors of tales long past… the Trojans and Greeks who warred over love, over land, pride and glory. Like those courageous souls, each one of us fights for something different in this industry.

Me? I’m building a legacy. I’m not interested in blood feuds, lucrative contracts or sponsorship deals. Like Achilles himself, I want my name to last through the ages so that when the time comes for me to hang up my boots, people talk about Sean Parker as one of the greatest, one of the most exciting, fearless, ruthless pro wrestlers they had ever seen. Only, unlike Achilles, you won’t find any undipped weaknesses left from being dipped into the River Styx.

And at the moment? My legacy is looking very promising… seven championship reigns across five different promotions in just nine months, on the precipice of becoming the second-longest-reigning Anarchy Champion in XWF history. Two championship matches in the next two weeks in two different promotions. And then, a run in the most brutal endeavour ever conceived in professional wrestling in TRIAD where I went up against guys like Shawn Warstein, the Big Bifford, CYPH3R, Corey Black, Paul Freedom and Matt Meyhu where none of them managed to even come close to pinning my shoulders to the mat. And now, the Blast From The Past Tournament is potentially going to be added to my ever-growing legacy.

See, Bill, that is why I’m called the workhorse of professional wrestling. That’s why SCW management is desperate to sign me to a full-time contract despite having only just one match. You know, I couldn’t help but listen to what you said to Caleb Storm before yours and Roux’s victory a few weeks ago. You said quite a lot, BIll without actually saying well… anything really. Coming from someone who's no stranger to winning championships in his career, if you think rattling off the number of days or months you’ve spent holding a midcard title is going to impress anyone but the reflection you cut your promos in front of, then you’re even more ignorant than I was led to believe you were.

You’re a tortured cliche, wrapped in a meme with a cringey gooey rhetoric centre. It’s clear, listening to you drone on and on and on how you were so much better than Caleb Storms, you actually take yourself so seriously that it almost feels like a joke. You’re the perennial gatekeeper of Sin City Wrestling, Bill, except in your case, no one ever has an issue getting through. You’re no feisty tenacious bulldog, you’re just a complacent guard dog, barking at shadows while the true warriors slip past your watchful eye. I can see it now… the battlefields of Troy playing host to the Blast From The Past Quarter-Finals. Standing guard proudly, a stoic look on his face, is the Bulldog himself, the two-time Roulette Champion, eager to give his life for King Priam aka Christian Underwood, to prevent any intruder from breaching the walls of Sin City Wrestling.

And there it is, in its majestic glory…a gigantic wooden horse. It takes all yours and Roux’s strength to pull it through the gates but your wits have deserted you. Just as the overzealous Trojans hauled their misplaced symbol of victory through their gates, like the impaired sentry you are, you have left the gates to your precious kingdom unlocked and in doing so, allowed an invading force, unlike anything you’ve ever encountered, to slip past you and lay waste to all you hold dear.

All you’ll be able to do is pray to the Sun God. Beg Apollo for a merciful defeat. Tell him you’re grateful you lived to witness Luna Pasilno, the Idol, the Masochist, take her place at the top of the Bombshell division. Let him know, you were a part of the legacy of the Sky Assassin as he cements his name in the annals of history where Father Time’s reach cannot touch.

Because once this match is over, that’s all you will be, Bill. A tiny part of my journey to immortality, to becoming one of the best to ever do this. I need this more than you do. You’ve been a fantastic servant for Sin City Wrestling over the years and I daresay you surprised even yourself to get this far. You’re good to have around, to beef up the card but you can’t take that key next step to reach that next echelon of greatness. It’s just too steep for you and you know what? That’s ok. Some of us are destined to get so far but only a select few are destined for something more.

Scene Three
Off-Camera

The journey to Turkey for Climax Control wasn’t one to write home about. I didn’t cope particularly well with long-haul flights at the best of times and a fourteen hour non-stop from Los Angeles to Istanbul, even in First Class, was one I’d rather have not taken. Still, it had given me time to do some scouting on Bill Barnhart and Roux’s previous matches, including their victory in the first round of the Blast From The Past Tournament on my laptop. It didn’t take long though and, in all honesty, I’d seen all I needed to see.

Both were good wrestlers no doubt about it but they were a dime a dozen compared to others I’d been in the ring with. Bill had the experience, Roux had the tenacity and excitement that every new rookie had in the early-goings of their career. But these two weren’t a patch on people like Knox, Vaughn, Page, Serenity, Penelope Plimmswood, Raven and Luna. No.  Barnhart seemed to be stuck in an era that had long since passed him by but still felt the need, out of nothing but nostalgia, to keep it alive when someone should have called time of death a long time ago.

I do have to admit, watching him stripped down to nothing but a pair of speedos on a cruise ship against Raven, Whelan and Kasey brought a smile to my face and a light snort of amusement to escape my nostrils. As I closed the Sin City Wrestling website on my browser, I casually perused away, catching up on the latest goings-on in pro-wrestling and beyond. A new trailer for Twisters and Wicked? I made a mental note to say to Eve when I got home.  As I continued my thoughtless browsing, I thought about my…dream-walk, for lack of a better term, with Vita Mors and I couldn’t help but think about what he said about Alex. Just what had he gotten himself into. I knew first-hand what getting into bed with someone like him was like. And having to now involve Luna in this? We hadn’t known each other that long but I felt a growing affection for her - she felt like the chaotic little sister I never had, having to make sure she wasn’t drinking the laundry detergent whilst our parents weren’t home. Right on cue, my phone pinged and there, Luna’s name popped up on my home screen.

‘In Troy, going to see the horse. See you at the horse. Neigh.’

You know when you actually read a text in the voice of the person who sent it to you? Another light snort of amusement gushed from my nose. I checked the travel app that was built-in to the back of the seat in front of me. Three hours and twenty-seven minutes until we landed in Istanbul. Back to my phone.

‘About three or so hours away, Crazy. Try not to get yourself arrested, Turkish jails aren’t fun!’

The whoosh sound and subsequent ‘delivered’ status confirmed my message had been sent and I put my phone away, drifting away into a disrupted sleep, images of Raven, of Luna and of Mors cascading through my mind.

Scene Four

Several hours later I was driving to Çanakkale. The rest of the flight had been restless as was the drive. Luna had texted me again as well after I’ve gotten off the flight, changing our original plans.

‘Change of plans. I want a couple of cheeky mimosas and try some Turkish beer. See you at the Helix Pub, when you get in.’

It wasn’t unlike, as I’d come to know in the past six weeks or so we’d come to know each other. Luna was like a human tornado, changing her path without warning and worrying about it afterwards. At first it had been a little jarring but now it was almost endearing. It had taken me a little while to find the Helix pub Luna had referred to in her last text and my attempts and Turkish hadn’t exactly endeared me to the locals. The place was nice enough though, both rustic and modern in the same breath. And there she was, like she said she would be, going to town on a mimosa, several empty bottles of Efes beer on the table. She beamed when she saw me, taking an extra sip of her mimosa before getting up, arms outstretched. She wrapped them around me, giving me a little peck on the lips before practically dragging to the table.

“Hey, Lover! You took your sweet-ass time!”

“Well, if you hadn’t decided to change plans at the last minute again, I wouldn’t have to make a detour! How’s the Turkish beer?”

“It’s serviceable. Call me a snob, but Melbourne did spoil me with crafts. Jimmy and Alex ran a bar, so I got to try a whole plethora of tasty brews. It’s no Moon Dog Pale, but it does the trick. They do make a good mimosa though, so… win win really.” Luna babbled.

“But, but. How was the trip, Sugar? Do you like flying? I fucking hate flying. I feel like normally we get around these long overseas flights by getting on a cruise ship. But I guess the surrogate daddies decided they want to torture me into submission. I ordered something to eat, by the by. It’s hungry work being this carefree, darling.”

I recalled the fourteen-hour flight from LA to Turkey and couldn’t help but screw my face as I tried to think of something positive. No dice.

“Long-haul flights are a pain in the arse. Even in First-Class I couldn’t even get settled but it’s been a rough week.”

Luna mentioning getting something to eat made me think. I hadn’t actually eaten anything since yesterday and my stomach was now not in the least bit subtle of reminding me.

“What did you order, Crazy? Kebab? Falafel?”

“Do not let my looks deceive you. I am not cultured, love. I think I ordered a chicken burger. I just kind of smiled, and pointed and they nodded. At least, I hope it’s chicken. I guess it could be tofu.” Luna said, suddenly seemingly less certain of her order. She shrugged her shoulders whilst finishing the remnants of her mimosa.

“They put you in first class? I’m going to have to have a word with those fuckers. Talking about rough weeks. Alex is in Istanbul being loved on by cats. Can you believe he had the audacity to say he was a pussy magnet? The nerve.” Luna continued on. She then pulled her phone out and thrust it in front of me. I backed off slightly, allowing the photo she was shoving in my face to come into focus. It looked like Alex Raven in what appeared to be a mountain of cats. It was kind of unsettling, like when you see a celebrity doing something you couldn’t imagine seeing them doing. Like if you saw the Mountain from Game of Thrones holding a puppy. I tried to put my best fake genuine smile, hoping it was convincing enough. Seeing Alex though, looking at least somewhat happy once again dredged up my conversation with Mors and what he’d asked of me to do.
“Listen…Luna…” I stammered, trying to figure out a way to broach the subject.

“I need to talk to you about something and I need you to keep an open mind…”

I went into my pocket and held the key in my hand. The gateway to the Void. Deep breaths. I brought it out and showed it to Luna, clicking it open revealing the faceless center.

“I think your wife might question why you’ve got a picture of lil’ ol me on you at all times. But if you just cannot be without, I guess I can oblige.”

There was a mocking tone to Luna’s response. I knew this was a bad idea, she was never going to buy this.

“Just shoot, Sugar. Worst thing I can say is no, tip my next drink on your head, and run away.”
My eyes widened and the potential faux pas I’d just dropped myself into.

“No, no, not like that… have you heard of Vita Mors?”

As soon as his name left my lips, Luna rolled her eyes and her body language completely changed. That will be a yes then.

“Know of him. Alex went to see him recently, and got into his head about Jimmy. My brother. Has been a little off ever since. Whatever that is, I’m guessing it has something to do with the spooky masked man and his greasy little gremlin of a second?” she replied just as the waiter brought her order and drink. Through a mouthful of chicken burger, she said.

“You know, that Ashton guy? Somehow he sends me a message one night, telling me that Alex was doing something stupid. He was, mind you. But, what kind of creep messages in the dead of night to tell someone their husband is off being a drunken menace? The nerve on those people.” she chewed.

“Look, I’ve been involved with Mors and Mire before. This?”

I held the device in front of her, rolling it between my fingers..

“This was a gift from him, it’s…how do I put this? It lets me see things… things that have happened, things that haven’t but could have if the road less travelled had been taken. I don’t know what Alex is caught up in with Mors but unless you’re willing to play ball, it never ends well, trust me.”

I was conscious of my next words. I didn’t want to scare Luna or even give much away too soon.

“I can’t even begin to tell you the crazy shit I’ve seen in the last few months but I can show you.  Through this, I can show you aspects of what your life could have been. Your career, your childhood…motherhood…”

“You’re telling me, I can see what Alex and I’s baby would be?” Luna asked, incredulously. She didn’t really seem all that phased by it all. More so a case of not believing than anything.

“Alright then. Show me.” Luna replied.

And then…
6

“I thought I had made it very clear.”

An annoyed voice of Goth is saying as he is seated in a chair upon an airplane, chewing on his lower lip for the mere fact that he had been assaulted on the night that he had wanted to inform the world that he wants to retire. Only for The Entity to assault him and for what reason??

He feels the soft hand of Melissa grab hold of the back of his hand, only for him to pull away with agression. Only for him to drop his head before placing his hand on hers as he lets out a sigh.

“Forgive me Melissa, I know you understand my frustration for being here. Because I have been in the position to step back and allow YOU to shine. And I guess it’s the pissant called The Entity that sucked me back into this hell hole for crying out loud. Is there anyone out there that does not want me to retire on my terms???”

He turns his face towards the window near to him, staring at the clouds that is surrounding them. He feels the pressure upon his body slowly subsides before wrapping his arm around his painful ribs as that cause to remind him about the attack from The Entity.

He groans slightly, not wanting to allow the world to notice the pain that he is feeling. The anger is growing inside of him.

“I’m alright Mel.”

He hisses slightly while clearly lying, he knows that she could see through this. But she also knows that disagreeing is futile when he is in this mindset. She grabs hold of his hand and lifts it up towards her mouth before kissing it, she then walks off as she tells him that she wants to get something to drink.

Goth’s eyes follow his wife until she is out of his sight, turning his gaze back towards himself. A grimace emerges, finally allowing the pain to take control over him as his fingers of his left hand sqeezes the arm rest tightly.

“I hope you are proud of yourself Entity, is this what you have been hoping for?? I bet you had hoped that I would cowar away, to never been seen again. And you know something? I have been contemplating that for a few moments, because what do I have to gain to go after another glory hog like you??”

He grinds upon his teeth, softly groaning as his hand touches the painful reminder of the assault that he had endured on Climax Control. A moment that should have been his moment turned into a nightmare. A nightmare that caused him to be brought towards the hospital for a checkup.

“So what did I do?? I do the complete opposite, because this is MY retirement, this is MY decision and MY way to walk into the sunset with a smile upon my face. Like that Entity?? I did not mention you as being the Goth killer, oh wait… I bet you will utter the infamous Old Yeller cliché right?? Because that’s what pathetic losers do that dare to hide their identiy behind a mask.”

“And all of that leads to this weeks Climax Control, where me and Peter Vaughn take on the couple of the year…”

He huffs at this statement, blowing some hair out of his face as the painful look on his face has become visibly darker.

“Miles “Milo” Kasey and Helluva Bottom Carter… a team that has got everything going fort hem so it seems… a marriage in the near future that clearly would be a beautiful moment right?? And on the other side it is me and my brother Peter Vaughn, a man that I know will ultimately will break everyone’s hopes and dreams. Because “The Mechanic” IS heartless and driven tob e the very best wherever he sets his sights upon…. And such a shame fort he happily to be married couplet o get into our way.”

“And the only question I could come up is why?? Why did the Sin City management come up with the idea of a massacre? A massacre of the loved ones that has everyone’s respect and best of wishes. And yeah Carter, I do respect you for the battles that we have had…. But you are stepping in a way of a desperate man that wishes to end his suffering….. and how will you stop a martyr???”

He groans only to suddenly show a big enough smile in the hopes that it would convince his wife that he is fine after she came back into his view. She hesitantly sits down as she sports a frown upon her face, only to dismiss it as she and him hold hands as they have a moment of chit chat as the flight continues.

A moment on my own.

It’s midnight as Goth is seated in a seat of the Trolan Theater in Troy, Turkey. Wearing a buttoned down shirt that all buttons except the final two are open, exposing his impressive physique as he stares at the empty stage in front of him. His attention is turned away from the stage towards the 20 rows in front of him, watching some Turkish cleaning ladies cleaning every seat while at times casually sharing whispers as they send casual glimpse towards the almost retired veteran.

Goth smirks as he turns his attention back towards the stage, pondering of what memorable plays has been performed. Asking what infamous National or International star has graced the impressive stage in front of all of the people that filled these seats. He had to admit that all though he had been to almost every country known to man, but had never been in this city. Granting him the opportunity to take his time to go on a touristic jouney before lacing his boots alongside his friend Peter Vaughn.

He grabs a bottle of water, unscrewing the top lid offt he bottle before lifting it towards his mouth and takes a few small sips from it. Savouring the coolness from it before letting out a sigh as he takes the bottle away from his mouth.

“I needed that…”

He mutters as he starts to wipe the back of his hand across his mouth, tasting the salty sweat from his skin as his lips feel like sand paper. He smiles as he starts to lick his lips with his tongue before taking a final sip and puts the cap back upon the bottle. He nods his head towards one of the cleaning ladies, who quickly turns her face away from him in shame as that causes him to show a grin upon his face.

“I saw that handsome.”

Says Melissa who casually sits down next to Goth, he looks over towards her and smirks. His gaze turns towards her summer dress that she is wearing, admiring her beauty before he looks into the smirk look on her face.

“Gotcha.”

Both Goth and Melissa laugh at her comment, Goth pretends to hide his face in shame as Melissa gives him a mock punch against his shoulder. The two gaze towards the theatre for a few moments before Melissa turns her attention towards him.

“How in the hell did you manage to visit this theatre when its door aren’t opened for visitors??”

Goth is silent for a few moments as if he had not heard the question from his wife.

“Gerrit??”

He places his hand upon Melissa’s knee, gently squeezing it before looking towards his wife.

“The owner of this theatre is an old opponent that I have faced back in the day during my international tours back in the day. I told him that he owed me a favour as he once promised me to show me some cultural spots of his beloved Turkey.”

Melissa smiles as she places her left hand upon his, not taking it away as she gently squeezes his. The two remain silent for a few moments before Melissa turns towards him.

“I bet Gerrit Jr would have loved to have flown to Turkey wit hus.”

Goth nods his head at the statement being made by his wife, smiling at the memories of his son being upset that he had to visit his grandmother without them. Deep down inside he really felt bad, a few weeks ago he had promised him that he would not go on the coming shows after his retirement speech. But the attack from The Entity had changed all of that. He looks down at his ribs that are taped up, his eyes travel towards his chest that showing his scars causes his expression to anger. Gently squeezing the hand of his wife before letting out a sigh.

“I’m sorry for all of this Mel, I thought I would have finally hung up my boots and stand in your corner.”

He looks at her with a pleading expression on his face, ultimately smiling as he feels the reassuring squeeze of her hands on his.

“You are such a softy’

She says with a playful look on her face before turning her face away as her expression changes.

“I don’t like it, but then again… I want you to get your moment against that…”

She bites upon her lower lip, not wanting her anger take over her as he knew that she desperately wanted to get back into the ring after being eliminated in the Blast From The Past Tournament. He knows her competitive spirit, fighting against every possible odd that is being thrown in her direction is what she lives for since debuting inside the six sided ring.

“You will soon get the opportunity to kick some heads off their shoulders Mel.”

Goth says reassuringly, causing Melissa to grant a smirk in return as she nods her head.

“You always knew how to cheer me up with those sweet words Gerrit.”

The two smile as she leans in towards Goth, they share a soft kiss before grinning as they hear a soft response of one of the cleaning ladies.

“I have a feeling that our critical audience wants us to study some more on our kissing scene Mel.”

Goth says as he gives her a wink, causing Melissa to slightly blush as she puts her hand in front of her face. The two of them stare at the two of them stare at the theatre stage as Melissa leans her head upon his shoulder and sighs.

“What is it with you and theatres Gerrit??”

Goth doesn’t answer, letting her question sink in, asking himself the very same question. He himself was never a big fan of theatratrical plays, that was until he had met his first wife. This thought causes hi mto smirk.

“What??”

She asks with a puzzled look on her face as she stares at him as he was apologising himself for his reaction.

“I was just remembring a play that me and chantal once went to, she told me that it would change my life forever.”

“And??”

Melissa asks in respose to his remark, clearly curious on the possible tale that he could tell her.

“It was the play of Hamlet from Shakespear, a play that she had told me that it was incredible.”

Melissa nods her head, waiting with anticipation for hi mto continue his story.

“So I agreed to pay fort he tickets, bought her seats at one of the balconies of the theatre so that we would have been alone.”

“Okay, so what happened??”

Melissa asks as she has lifted her face towards his with anticipation, curious to why he has such a wide smirk on his face.

“So we got to our seats, we sat down and watched the play. And I have to admit that it was such a life changer for me. “

This statement causes Melissa to raise an eyebrow, clearly not what she had expected from him.

“So uhm, what’s so funny then??”

Goth’s smile widens even more as he lowers his head towards his chest, staring at his flannell knee high pants that he is wearing.

“Halfway the play I suddenly heard someone snoring beside me…”

This comment causes Melissa to put her hand to her mouth, trying to hide her laugh as she starts to picture what Goth was telling her.

“You mean….?”

Goth nods his head, trying to hide the big grin on his face as he gently squeezes the hand of his wife. The look of embarrassment can bes een on her face as she realizes something.

“That would have been something I would have done when my father would take me to the theatre as well.”

The two share a casual laugh before there is silence again. Goth squeezes Melissa’s hand softly. He watches the stage as his focus is back upon his tag team match on Climax Control.

“Performing on stage is just like performing inside the ring, having all the eyes of the audience on you. Their expectation for you to perform under pressure every single time, the realization that you cannot make any mistake as the biggest of criticasters will roast you if you forget one line.”

Melissa nods her head, realizing that she had never looked at performing arts on the theatre stage in comparison as being a pro wrestler.

“The mere fact that if you fail that others are waiting to take over your spot, because everyone believes that they are the biggest star out there. Something that until this very day I could have countered by being the very best.”

Goth’s sentence stops as he chokes up a bit, realizing his career has come close to end. He is fighting against the tears start to well up as he wipes thema way with the back of his other hand. He senses the stare of Melissa burning a hole inside of his soul, not able to look up to her gaze even though he knows that she would show only love above evrerything else.

“I’m sorry hun…”

He is unable to finish the sentence as his head lowers, trying to fight against the reality that it has all ended. Scowling tot he thought of somehow being persuaded at having another match before consuming nothing but war against an unknown Entity. The name burns inside of him as he starts to squeeze the fabric of his seat with his free hand as Melissa reaches over and wraps her amrs around his neck and whispers loving words into his ear. Sending chills down his spine while not taking his eyes off the stage in front of him.

“I vow to you Mel, like I will vow to everyone else who wants to listen. That I will destroy The Entity and there is nothing that will prevent me from doing so.”

He turns his gaze towards his wife, they continue to stare into each other’s eyes for a few moments before Melissa nods her head and smiles.

“The world will witness a massacre, the final play of the Entity…”

They smile together as the shot slowly fades to darkness.

Goth can be seen standing in front of a mirror, his body heavily taped as he gently touches the painful parts on his body. His face shows grimaces every time his hands gingerly comes in contact with his ribs, growling some inward curses in an attempt to keep himself silent for others to hear. He cocks his head slightly tot he side as he notices the camera crew approaching him in the reflection of the mirror.

“Oh great, I guess you all have come to rejoice yourself in the misery of one of the most memorable Hall of Famers in the history of this company.”

He rolls his eyes as he turns his attention back towards the mirror, his eyes wander towards the bruises upon his chest and face that are still visible after one and a half week ago.

“I have learned at a very early part in your career that you have to expect the unexpected, that people are miserable and wish to skyrocket their careers over the backs of others…”

He slowly turns his hands into fists as he flexes his arms slightly, growling in agony as the presure he puts on his body hurts his wounded body.

“But there is another lesson that I have learned, the lesson of how to repay the favour. And guess what people?? Apparrently I still have something left in me to crush the hopes and dreams of one Entity that wishes to use me as a stepping stone. But I guess I will have to do with Milo and Carter huh??”

He closes his eyes for a moment as his breathing is slowly become more controlled, his arms hang loosely beside his body as he leans his head back as his hair fall from his shoulders.

“Don’t think i have forgotten about you Carter, a man that has beaten me when I expected a different outcome to have come towards my direction. Expectations that was built from nothing but believe and faith… Something that will test your ability to accept dissapointments when it comes down tot he bigger picture…. The big victorious to overcome it all isn’t it??”

“And that is something that people have questioned me whether that direction is the right direction. And for what?? Because it isn’t for many of you out there??? How pathetic.”

He places his hands towards both sides of the miror while staring at his reflection, noticing the bloodshed in his eyes as he lets out a sigh.

“I told management that I only cared about the Entity, I told them not tob ook me into anything meaningless like a Bill Barnhart or Alexander Raven. And then when I saw the names of the two love birds as my opponents has satisfied my disire to move my attention away from the opponent that I view as my final supper.”

“Miles Kasey and Helluva Bottom Carter against the team of Got hand Peter Vaughn. Multi time champion and current Internet Champion… against two names that could very well be the future of this company. And no, I will not blindly spout profanity and tell the world that none of you can match anything that me and Vaughn can bring to the dance. But you have to understand one thing though…. That is it wort hit to put your bodies on the line against two hungry wolves??”

He cocks his right eye towards the camera that has approached him from that side while looking upwards towards the veteran from the floor.

“Carter, I respect you my friend. I know that you will give me and Vaughn a fight of your life. I know that you will fight as a warrior. A man that desires tob e a champion, but also a man that is a loving and caring individual. A man that i have seen in the past that would give it his al to save your significant other when it came down to men like Austin James Mercer. A man that acted to be martyr, a man that blamed the world for his own misery. Does that remind you of someone else Carter??”

He gives a sinister smirk as he leans his head against his shoulder, digging his teeth into his flesh slightly in an attempt to silence his frustration.

“And ultimately my anger needs to be directed to purity, true love they say. A marriage lurking around the corner, something I expect you are hoping that I would understand as I have done the same merely a few years ago…”

He huffs while shaking his head, pushing his hands away from the mirror hanging limply besides his body.

“True love grants you joy isn’t it?? Butterflies that fly inside your stomach, those looks that speak more viviedly than a thousand words whenever you got that opportunity to join each other as one?? Oh yes of course me and Melissa share those wonderful  moments together…, but I have to quote a classic lyric fromt he Queen of Rock and Roll Tina Turner herself… “What’s love got to do wit hit??” What does love got to do wit hit when you are inside the six sided ring?? Because it’s nothing more than a weakness when you dare tob ring each other together and not to expect feelings clouden your judgment..”

“Because me and Vaughn intend to disect the one, while the other has got to watch. We expect to watch on, whisper inside your ears, urging you not to look over tot he other’s gaze as you will see love instead of trust. And any out there can tell the expected tale, oh no something like that will not happen to us!! We both knew what we signed up to once we will sign that one contract that binds our lives together for eternity…”

“Eternity is such a long time wouldn’t you agree??”

Goth looks at the wedding rings that he is wearing from both of his weddings, a life long memory to his promises that he had made to both of his wives as he nods his head silently.

“The only thing that i can tell you both is that it eventually be wort hit my young friends, to endure that cycle that every loved ones will have to endure until that moment comes that both of you will utter I do…”

Goth suddenly closes his right hand and pounds i tinto his left several times before finally rest it against the palm of his left hand.

“BECAUSE YOU MAY THINK THAT I AM UTTERING NOTHING BUT BULLSHIT!!! That these words are nothing but lies!!!”

He cocks his head tot he side, breathing heavily as some of his hair has fallen in front of his face.

“And all I can say is that I do not mind, everyone has a right to believe or disbelieve…, yet I am true love… And I am the one that Giveth… And I am the one that Taketh away… And trust me my friends, i fit were up to me or Peter Vaugh… I will tell you that at least with me you have a chance to redeem your mistakes….”

He looks over his shoulder, gazing at an individual that is seated upon a chair. Goth closes his eyes slightly as he gazes at the man who will be his tag team partner on Climax Control. Gazing down at Vaughns hands as he is playing cards, shuffling them together before shuffling them for himself, then to Melissa and finally an empty seat before looking over towards Goth. Goth acknowledges Vaughns gesture to take part of the game as he lets out a sigh and smirks as he turns his attention back towards the camera.

“vaugh is someone that reminds me somewhat of a young version of myself, cold… calculative and very…. VERY succesful. A man that like myself does not allow privacy and feelings that weakens your knees to be a trap to your downfall. And people may qualify that as perversion or even as maniacal. But isn’t that the way how mankind has survived throughout the ages?? Then tell me, will you disagree with the saying of don’t change what isn’t broken??”

“But I had not asked for this, I did not want to feel the urge of competing inside the six sided ring and win fights to earn another title shot. You see, people already question my integrity of being a retired human being.”

His breathing increases as his eyes darken with every passing second.

“I only care about destruction and pain, I only care about wrapping THESE HANDS around the throat of one simple man…. Because then and ONLY THEN I can retire in peaceful fashion. But until that moment comes I must break down every obstacle that stands in my…”

He looks towards Peter Vaughn’s direction and smiles.

“Our way…”

With that he nods his head towards the camera before walkign towards the table as he takes a seat before grabbing the deck of cards as the shot slowly fades.

Luna Through The Looking Glass
Scene One | Off-Camera

Another night, another series of nightmares. For all the positives of this world tour, and in particular this run of the Blast From The Past tournament, the homelife of the Rabenschwarz family? Not so pretty. Alex hadn’t been himself, half-lucid, arguing with the air. There was the collapse at Vimy Ridge where he had thrown up all over himself. Luna was doing her best to be supportive but he couldn’t even articulate what was going on. He’d taken off to see Vita Mors before he’d joined up with her in Normandy. Ever since, something had just been… off.

He’d been a little more himself since they’d arrived in Turkey. They’d made the call for Alex to take some R&R in Istanbul. She suspected it was mainly because he wanted to go and visit the city full of cats. It also meant that Luna was free to tee up some team-building time with Sean again. The calls had been fun, and he hadn’t let her plunge to her death in Hastings, so by all accounts she thought it was off to a fantastic start. They’d easily had the most impressive debut outing of any of the teams in the opening round. Quick work, and tandem finishers. For a little reminder of who the fuck she was she’d even got the pin herself.

It did mean however, that after Alex’s back to back wins with Calaway… there was a real possibility that at the end of it, they’d be facing each other from opposite ends of the ring. That made her heart hurt. As much as she trusted Sean to get the job done, there was not a single instance in which she’d ever want to see Alex lose. Conversely, she knew the same from the other side. Perhaps that was part of why he’d seemed so out of it? That's what she was going to have to believe for the moment. That Alex was battling his own difficulties with the situation.

‘In Troy, going to see the horse. See you at the horse. Neigh.’

Luna had shot off the text not long after arriving in Troy. She assumed Sean would let her know when he touched down, details of when to meet up and all that. Luna was anything but an organiser when it came to things. She sort of just liked to let details float.

Hair, make-up, getting dressed, changing her hair because it doesn’t match her clothes. Changing her clothes because she no longer likes what she decided to wear. The day was off to a flying good start. At some point in her mindless prepping, a message from Sean, telling he’d be landing in a few hours, and then being another few hours from Troy. What did that mean?  That meant she had far too much time on her hands. Time for a nap, time to call Alex, time to go for a few early morning mimosas. The options were limitless.

She decided on calling Alex first. Placing her phone up against the bathroom mirror as she decided to reapply her face for the third time that morning, having settled on a hairstyle and an outfit. Now she just needed to match the make-up and hope that her incessant need to change and alter didn’t get in the way. It rang a couple times before Alex answered. He was laying down somewhere, maybe a park? She wasn’t too sure. Yet at the same time a legion of cats had decided he was going to be their plaything for the day. She counted at least two on his back, and another couple trying to butt their way in between his face and the camera.

“Catstanbul treating you good baby-boy?” Luna asked, beaming brightly. She was well aware that he was currently getting a fantastic shot of the inside of her nostrils.

“What can I say? I’m like a pussy magnet.” Alex said, sounding far more at peace, and far more full of cheek than he had been for a while.

“You ever call yourself a pussy magnet again, we’re getting a divorce.” Luna said, shaking her head a little. Applying the last little bit of lipstick she took a long look at herself in the mirror. Purples, reds and touches of gold were the choices for the day. Content, she picked her phone up and wandered through the hotel room. It was days like this, she missed Duchess.

“Sorry again, Lu. I’m really not sure what’s going on with me lately. First the ghosts come back, and then I’m treading water after going to see that Vita Mors bloke. I think I just needed the R&R. Wish you were here.” Alex said, stroking the length of an orange cat who decided to put its butt straight up to the camera.

“You owe me a date, daddy. You can swing me some wine, some fine dining and a night of love when we get together next.” Luna said, turning away from the camera to avoid the cat butt for as long as possible. She really did miss her dog.

“I think I can swing that, baby girl. How are you feeling about it all? You know, the match? Good luck this week too, Lu. You catching up with Sean?” Alex asked. Luna sighed a little, the thought of crawling closer toward the finals was a mixed bag.

“Yeah, he’s a fair few hours out there, so I got time to blow. Thinkin’ I might go and get lubed up. Mama needs herself a mimosa.” Luna replied, turning back as the cat wandered off. Alex was now being headbutted by at least two new cats.

“But, how I’m feeling? I’m stressed. All this travel is awful on my skin, and I’m just very tired. Nothing a few drinks can’t fix, I’m sure. But I’m missing you too, sweet thing. Missing you deeply.” Luna continued on.

“Yeah, I keep promising Calaway I’ll sit down with her. Next city maybe. Before the semis. We may have to have a deeper conversation about what happens come the reality that we both make the finals.” Alex said, laying his head down on his arm. Luna just smiled a bit in response, placing a cigarette in her mouth. Standing on her balcony as she lit it.

“I don’t want to think about it. Not today at least. I should get to it. Go find somewhere to sit and drink. I love you, Lexi-baby. Call me later, okay?” Luna said, with a wink and a kiss.

“Love you, Lu. Tell me how it goes with Sean.” Alex smiled, directing one of the cats to pay attention to the phone. Winking back at her as he ended the call. Moments of serenity in a turbulent sea. Part of her was glad they were trapped, so they could still travel this way. Yet, early retirement would’ve also meant they could’ve travelled at their own leisure. A double-edged sword, really.

Another message to Sean, as she took a long and heavy drag on her cigarette.

‘Change of plans. I want a couple of cheeky mimosas and try some Turkish beer. See you at the Helix Pub, when you get in.’

When she thought about it, sometimes it felt like she was talking to Jimmy. Just swapping up plans and switching out decisions at the drop of a dime. A woman in constant motion. She missed Jimmy on days like this. She missed her brother. Not quite as painfully, but there wasn’t a day he didn’t cross her mind. In the way she talked to someone, or even in the moments of Alex dropping little pet names.

He’d actually called her baby girl today. Alex never called her baby girl. He really must be in cat heaven.

“I’m going to make you proud, Jimmy. I promise.” Luna whispered to herself.

Stirring Up This Stew
Scene Two | On-Camera

“I said it, and it came true. Funny how things work. Loopy Luna is just a shade too crazy, but when she goes to work. Everybody stops to fucking watch. I’ve said it over and over. I am the inevitable fucking future of Sin City Wrestling. The woman who cannot be touched, for everything I do turns to gold. The lady they all want to hate. The woman that all the other bombshells wish would just go away, because they know. They know that I’m going to walk all over their pretty fucking faces as I climb to the peak.”

“See, I listen to what is going on around here. I pay attention to all the things that people are saying. Loopy Luna, oh she’s just a crazy mouthy bitch. The attention whore who just won’t go away. Except, when it comes down to brass tacks. When it comes down to whether or not it's you or me, well baby. Every damn time, it’s me. The one throwing people through tables. The one throwing women through fire. The bitch who tears with barbed wire and breaks with brass.”

“So when they threw Kat Jones at me, I just knew they thought it was going to go their way. That the perennial poster child of Sin City. She was going to put Luna in her place. That’s not how it went down though was it? No, Kat Jones was shown exactly what was meant for her the first time around. Twice, I’ve beaten her. Twice I’ve shown that this is the era of fucking Luna Pasilno. That the only queen worth a damn when it comes to stepping to Kayla Richards, is me. So when I see the ranting and raving former top, Julianna DiMaria filling my feed with void screaming and empty threats. I’m glad that it’s me here.”

“I’m glad that it’s me who stepped past Kat Jones. I’m glad that it’s me who is going to turn the wannabe bad child inside out and upside down. I’m glad that it’s me that is going to be able to sit pretty at ringside when Julianna falters and fails against Kayla Richards again. Why do I say that? Because we all know that is where it’s headed. A rematch for the breakdown queen herself, just to be reminded why she skirted by on the laurels of a reign that she barely even fucking showed up for. Learning from the wisdom tree that is J2H, that just ain’t it baby-girl. That just ain’t how we fly.”

“But that? That’s for another day. Today isn’t for Julianna. Today isn’t even for Kayla Richards. No, today? Today is for little baby Roux. The bad child herself. The wannabe stand-out. The inevitable future, to take a note from my own little playbook. Unfortunate name, don’t you think? I guess it’s pretty sounding. Not fun to think of the cooking mixture, and she’s not quite a red-head. Small benefits of fate I suppose.”

“Cocky little bitch that she is, I can admire it. Smart-mouthed is generally something I can appreciate. Although, she did seem to have her priorities of focus in just slightly the wrong place. Belittling poor baby Bill? I mean he might be as simple as two bricks tied together on a stick, but he’s a fence-swinger when he needs to be. So maybe a little less vitriol for the man who is expected to carry your tiny little ass up the totem pole towards the winner’s podium. What do you say, sugar-plum?”

“What did strike me as interesting is how much of a little reader our sweet little Roux baby is. She deep-dived into Nakita, and she disregarded Caleb. I can respect some research. I mean, I’ve clearly done just a touch of my own. How’s the sister, by the way? Last I saw her, she was getting squashed by Tempest and failing to defend the Bombshell Internet Championship. Oh, but family drama, right? You wanna be your own person. Step on your own two feet and be seen for who you truly are. Funny about that though. Funny, because I’ve got this sneaking gut wrenching suspicion that one of the first things that are going to come out of little Roux’s mouth? How I’m just a side piece of Alexander Raven.”

“Why do I think this? Because it’s the easy path to take. It’s the path everyone else seems to take. It’s the only path that seems to mean anything in the eyes of those who prance and dance around here. Doesn’t matter how many championships I win. How many I fight for. How many undeserved returning nobody veterans I put in their place, or how many up-start bitchy little slags I put down. People are always going to downplay what I do. But I’m not going to let them, Roux. I’m not going to let anyone downplay what I can do. I went out and I made a fucking mockery of Kat Jones. I’m going to step to you and stop this little journey before it even really gets started. Or maybe Sean does what you expect?”

“Maybe Sean steps to ol’ Billy Boy himself, and puts the old man in his place. Takes him down a peg and reminds him why us, those of the inevitable future, are the ones to watch. Because even though this is your story, this is also fate outside your hands. So confident, yet trembling and quivering at the idea of a challenge from the word go. A child. I’m not so dumb to discount based on age or inexperience. Hell, I’ve only got a year in this.”

“What I can do however? I can point out how fucking stupid the idea of a barely legal sprite prancing about talking about her fucking story. Barely knee high to a fucking cricket and already full of piss and vigour. I had some stories to tell too coming up, but I’ll be real with you baby girl. Your story ain’t been told by nobody else, ‘cause you haven’t had a fucking story to tell. You’re going to learn real quick. That you haven’t experienced jack shit up to this point. That the learning, the pain, the quivering agony you got ahead of you? That’s the real fucking story. So you were right about one thing.”

“You are writing the first chapters. But let me spell it out for you real easy. The early chapters? They’re all just laying the field. Setting up for the journey of pain. For the mountain you need to get over. No good story starts with a shit ending. No good story goes without troubles. So, I’m thinking, Roux. I’m thinking you're in line for a real short story. A terrible start of far too much happiness, a middling nothing of a guaranteed loss, and then a failure of an ending because the baby was too big for her boots.”

“This isn’t a case of me being too confident. No, this is a case of me being certain. Being certain that I can step to the rookie. That I can step to the arrogant child who wants to be her own person, but hasn’t even had her first real suckle of life. This is me being certain that Sean Parker is going to take your partner, Bill Barnhart to school. Lift him up out of the bygone eras and bring him to the modern day. Bring him to the ball with all of us kiddies who just want a sip of that spiked punch.”

“But enough about the rebellious toddler, and more about the sweetheart Bulldog. Hi, Bill. It’s funny that this happens to us again. Opposite sides, and yet the outcome is going to be the same. It doesn’t really matter who you’re partnered up with, does it? It doesn’t even really matter who I’m partnered up with. As much as we adore you. As much as we wish the Barnharts would get their due respect, there’s a certain truth to the failings, isn’t there? See, I can see straight through you Billy. Through both you and Bea. One of the other power couples of Sin City, except… Nobody ever has anything nice to say about us either.”

“Not even your own partner has faith in you, Bill. Little toxic and cocky Roux hasn’t got an ounce of faith in you being able to contend with the rest of the field. She didn’t even expect to make it out of the first round. Not because of her inexperience, or inability. She didn’t think you could remain vertical. Against Caleb Storm of all people. A guy she sees as a consummate jobber. She didn’t even trust you to get the job done against Caleb fucking Storm. Poor sweet Billiam. That’s a harsh call. But is she wrong?”

“I don’t think she is, Bill. I don’t think she’s wrong for doubting you. I think Roux is actually smart for having her doubts. Having her doubts about you. Realistically, they’re somewhat founded aren’t they? As confident as you can be, you know that you just aren’t quick enough anymore. You’re a strong man, but you’re just not strong enough. You’re a smart man, apparently. Though I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything come out of your mouth that hasn’t been regurgitated by every wannabe MENSA member. I do love the little dog though. Maybe I could steal that idea. Prance my way around with my beautiful little Beagle. Have her get into all sorts of trouble. We could have a six man tag. You, baby Roux and your dumb fucking bulldog, against Sean, Duchess the Queen of pups and me. What do you say Billiam?”

“No, no. That’d be silly. It’s bad enough you’re going to be shown up by Roux and Sean. Let alone shown up by your own fucking dog. So maybe we just let that one lie. I do wish you the best, Bill. I truly do. I just hope you can bounce back from this failure, like you have every other time. I mean, we’re always going to need a tune up match. Alex and I have to crash toward those Mixed Tag Titles eventually, and get ourselves nice and lubricated. Well that’s just the tale of the tape. So I wish you the best Bill.”

“Just not when it involves me.”

“And remember.”

“The Conspiracy is here.”

Would You Want To Know?
Scene Three | Off-Camera

There was something familiar about Helix. It reminded her of being in Melbourne, if she really thought about it. Sitting outside, the smell of beer, cigarettes and food. No amount of cleaning could ever fix that. Deep-seated smells. Something told her that at night the place came a bit more alive. Quick google searches showed in house DJs, and a copious amount of poor decision making. Maybe her and Alex could swing by before they flew out. See if they couldn’t somehow manage to barter a week off. They had to be somewhat back in the good books with all the eyeballs and money they were bringing in.

At least they’d deluded themselves into thinking it was them that was doing it. It was hard to argue against. The most high-profile match going into the last super card. The two favourites going into the Blast from the Past tournament, and if tweets were anything to be believed, they were also on track to be the most hated people of the year, and only five months in. They were truly working overtime. She thought they deserved a break. Yet, if the death of her brother wasn’t enough to get them out of their contract. She doubted making them money was going to give them a moment’s reprieve.

Had she timed her starting of drinking poorly? Yes. She was already three mimosas, and two beers, deep at this point. A fourth and fifth mimosa on their way. By the time Sean would arrive, she’d likely be three sails to the wind. Fortunately, she was a well controlled drunk woman. Had to be when you worked in bars as much as she did. Couldn’t be floating off with the faeries when the shots were outnumbering you nine to one. So in the very least, besides the flush and the rambling, she’d be able to cover herself well.

Which was a good thing, being that it was only still early in the day. It also meant that she was bound to actually get a good night’s rest in for once. Maybe she’d even be able to convince Alex to take the few hours trip from Istanbul to come spend the evening with her. Sugar-coated and sweet thoughts. She took her phone out, and checked her messages. Seeing if Sean had sent anything further to let her know how far out he was.

In the meantime, food would be a good choice. It would have been pertinent to choose something local. Experience the culture, get to know Turkey a little bit better. That being said? She was hungry. And the burgers they had looked far too enticing to simply knock back. And so, that was that. What she assumed was a chicken burger got ordered, and she started on mimosa number four. In a race against time, Sean had managed to beat the clock. Probably a good thing too. Easier to hug someone when you’re not half covered in food and sauce.

“Hey, Lover! You took your sweet-ass time!” Luna exclaimed, arms thrown about the man, a soft peck to the lip, before she dragged him to sit down opposite her.

“Well, if you hadn’t decided to change plans at the last minute again, I wouldn’t have to make a detour! How’s the Turkish beer?” Sean said. Luna shrugged a little, as she settled in. Another sip of her drink.

Sean just scrunched his face up slightly, pursing his lips.

“Long-haul flights are a pain in the arse. Even in First-Class I couldn’t even get settled but it’s been a rough week.”

Sean had picked up on Luna mentioning she’d ordered something to eat and he had avoided eating a lot on the plane out of principle. His stomach growled slightly and picked up a menu lying on the table.

“What did you order, Crazy? Kebab? Falafel?” Sean queried.

“Do not let my looks deceive you. I am not cultured, love. I think I ordered a chicken burger. I just kind of smiled, and pointed and they nodded. At least, I hope it’s chicken. I guess it could be tofu.” Luna said, suddenly less certain of her order. She shrugged at the thought, and finished her drink. In preparation for the next one.

“They put you in first class? I’m going to have to have a word with those fuckers. Talking about rough weeks. Alex is in Istanbul being loved on by cats. Can you believe he had the audacity to say he was a pussy magnet? The nerve.” Luna continued on, pulling her phone out. She opened up to a picture of Alex being absolutely swamped by an array of cats, showing it to Sean. He smiled that kind of forced smile when someone shows you a picture of their kids you couldn’t care less about. Something was up with him and Luna couldn’t quite put her finger on it. The minute she’d mentioned Alex, his demeanour changed.

“Listen…Luna…” Sean stammered, absentmindedly playing with a beer mat.

“I need to talk to you about something and I need you to keep an open mind…”

Sean then delved into his pocket and pulled out a device that almost resembled a pocket watch. He clicked it open, revealing a blank face, no hands or numbers, just…well, nothing. He rolled it between his fingers.

“I think your wife might question why you’ve got a picture of lil’ ol me on you at all times. But if you just cannot be without, I guess I can oblige.” Luna mocked a little, looking at the funny little object he’d pulled out. She assumed it was a locket of some kind.

“Just shoot, sugar. Worst thing I can say is no, tip my next drink on your head, and run away.” She continued on teasing, attempting to take some of the tension out of the situation. Sean held up the trinket and it looked like some sort of red mist was swirling in the center.

“No, no, not like that… have you heard of Vita Mors?” Sean asked.

Luna rolled her eyes a little at the mention of Vita Mors. Her body stiffening just slightly at the thought of it. Seemed like everything came back to that masked weirdo lately.

“Know of him. Alex went to see him recently, and got into his head about Jimmy. My brother. Has been a little off ever since. Whatever that is, I’m guessing it has something to do with the spooky masked man and his greasy little gremlin of a second?” Luna said, as her burger and next mimosa were dropped off at the table. A smile, a bat of the eyelashes and the server walked off with a smile on his face.

“You know, that Ashton guy? Somehow he sends me a message one night, telling me that Alex was doing something stupid. He was, mind you. But, what kind of creep messages in the dead of night to tell someone their husband is off being a drunken menace? The nerve on those people.” Luna went on again. Clearly, the alcohol had finally hit her head a bit.

“Look, I’ve been involved with Mors and Mire before. This?” Sean started.

Sean held the device up again.

“This was a gift from him, it’s… how do I put this? It lets me see things… things that have happened, things that haven’t but could have if the road less travelled had been taken. I don’t know what Alex is caught up in with Mors but unless you’re willing to play ball, it never ends well, trust me.” Sean went on.

Sean stopped for a moment, as if contemplating his next words carefully.

“I can’t even begin to tell you the crazy shit I’ve seen in the last few months but I can show you.  Through this, I can show you aspects of what your life could have been. Your career, your childhood… motherhood…” Sean said.

“You’re telling me, I can see what Alex and I’s baby would be?” Luna asked, incredulously. She didn’t really seem all that phased by it all. More so a case of not believing than anything.

“Alright then. Show me.” Luna said.

And then…

Chapter 39: Birthday Blues

If there is one thing I hate more than Christmas is this wretched time of year. A time of year that sends a shiver down my spine as we get closer and closer to a day that most people seem to enjoy. But for me it is a day where I get the wrong kind of attention. The type of attention where I am flat bang at the center of it. Being celebrated for something that is completely out of my control and is inane and pedantic.

It’s my birthday.

And every year is the same thing. My sister asked me if I want to do anything. I say no. And she orchestrates some kind of surprise birthday party. Some kind of elaborate event that she thinks I’m not going to catch onto. Meanwhile, my brother and my older sister as well as my mother all get in on the act.

I talk about how they know I don’t want it to happen and they will respect my wishes.

No matter how many times I tell them I don’t want it to happen.

They say they know. They say that I will get my way this year.

And then every single May 13th it happens. Someone comes over to distract me. Whether or not that is Amber, my mother, or someone else who is floating around in my life like a certain ex who shall remain nameless as he pumps himself full of steroids. One of them comes over, they take me out for some stupid reason. And then I come home. The lights will be off and everyone will then say surprise.

Only it’s not a surprise.

It is a vomit inducing forced interaction with people that I really really don’t want or understand. And as the date has come closer this year part of me has been wondering just what they will do to distract me. Of course, this year I have other things to do and other things that I want to happen.

But, that is another bridge I need to cross. Conversations that need to be had. And none of them, and I mean none of them, have to do with my birthday. But here I was knowing exactly what was about to happen and the conversation I was about to have. I pulled the door open, Tasmin smiled at me. Her long blonde hair tied back. She had made a point to start coming around without her daughter. Mainly to give my niece and her father some daddy daughter time.

”So this time of year….” and there it was. She hadn’t even had time to put her handbag down before she decided to pull the conversation toward my birthday. ”Look, I know what you’re going to say, but this year is different. You have friends and family who care about you…..and want to celebrate another year of you being alive…” My nostrils flared and I ground my teeth together as my arms instinctively crossed over my chest. ”Why don’t we plan a party here? You won’t even have to do that much….Kallie and I will do the legwork…”

I shook my head and took in a sharp breath. The truth was that I didn’t even think I would be in this apartment by the time my birthday rolled around in a week. I had people circling to buy it. Because I was going back home. Something that Finn and I had talked about but others didn’t know about yet. For reasons that we hadn’t gotten into. ”Not here….somewhere else but not here”

Tasmin’s eyes lit up as I said it could be somewhere else. It was an instinctive moment. It was Me trying to cover up the fact that this apartment that I made such a big deal out of acquiring and making into a home was soon going to be sold to someone else because I was going back to my real home. The place that I actually felt comfortable. And I couldn’t tell her. As much as I wanted to. ”Okay I can do that. I wonder if Kallie will have an idea…” and like clockwork and timing. There was a knock at the door. I walked over and undid the latch opening it.

On the other side was Kallie. A large smile on her face as she held Dax in her arms. She waved with her free hand and made her way in looking over at Tasmin who smiled. ”Like oh my god, sorry I’m late but like this total “see you next Tuesday” was all over the road” she put Dax down in the small play area that I had brought into My Home. Full of children’s toys due to the fact that so many of my friends and family were reproducing and I didn’t want to have to deal with it.

Tasmin flashed a smile and moved across closer Kallie. ”Get your planning hat on. We are going to do Kayla’s birthday somewhere. Just not here. So you need to come up with a good idea on where-“ Kallie put her hand up in front of Tasmin’s face and narrowed her eyes. She moved over closer to me, circling Me and leaning in and out her eyes narrowing and opening before she put her finger up on the tip of her chin and tapped it.

”You and Finn made up. Not just that. You’ve told each other you love each other.

My job popped open, I started but was unable to make any noise that would be considered a word. Tasmin stood there and blinked, unable to fathom what she was saying or how Kallie  would know. Kallie though, she just stood there. I finally brought it back together enough that I was able to form a sentence. ”Who…how?….” okay, it wasn’t a sense. But it was close enough give me a break.

Kallie smirked. ”How did I know? Kay, c’mon, I have like total EST about these things…”

”ESP”

”Yeah that’s what I said”

Tasmin went to open her mouth and say something. But stopped herself as she realized that Kallie was not going to get it or understand or even care at this point. ”Ok, so it seems like there are a few bridges that we need to cross here. But I’m not ready. I understand you both probably have questions. But the truth is that hand and I have no idea where this is going on what we are doing. I will say that I know where I’m going to be living but that’s beside the point”

Kallies eyes widened, Tasmin smiled. ”So, you’re moving back home?” Home. The way she said it made me smile. I tried to hide it but there was a small flicker when my lips twisted. Enough that they both saw it.

I snapped out of it and shook my head, folding my arms back over my chest again as I regained my composure. I needed to nip this in the bud right now and stop it from going any further. ”There is a reason why I haven’t told anyone. You both cannot tell anyone else. Tasmin that means you cannot tell Adam and Kallie you cannot tell Aidan. Believe me I didn’t tell you to for a reason and if I’m not going to tell my sister and my best friend. You have to understand why I don’t want you telling your husbands.” I sneered and narrowed my eyes.

Kallie took a sharp inhale and her hands moved up to her chest as her fingers spread. She breathed in and out a few times looking like she was about to cry as both myself and my sister looked over at her tilting our heads in confusion. ”You said I was your best friend?”

I took a deep breath in and clenched my hands together into fist. I realized my mistake. But now it was too late.

Kallie smiled and bounced up and down. ”Best friend best friend I’m your best friend”

I shook my head and threw my arms in the air, Tasmin leaning close and shook her head as well. ”You see what you’ve done now?”

I had seen what I’ve done. But I’ve seen it too late. I needed to make sure that no one else knew what happened. At least not until I could talk to Finn and we could decide where we were going with this. What we were doing. All the happiness that I had, everything inside me that had been singing with content calm since he and I revealed our feelings for each other was also scared to death.

And that was a problem.

Waste of my time

”Aren’t you all getting sick of this?”

Kayla takes a slow deep breath in, closing her eyes before exhaling and calming herself down. After all there is no point in getting angry before getting into the meat and potatoes of the promo.

”I mean, I walked into this company and every single female in the roster acted like I didn’t exist. I signed my contract on the dotted line after being away from professional wrestling for about a year. But before I left, I was dominating companies like they were going out of fashion. I walked into one comp and smashed up a championship against someone who is apparently a legend. After coming from two other companies where I was the world champion, and I took out every single one of their so-called heroes.”

“I have a track record of being one of the best and most brutal professional wrestlers on the planet today. And I took every single criticism that the fans had. I took every single criticism that the office had. And I made myself better. It is incredible to me how even after they forgot to book me and seemingly forgot that I existed I have come all the way up to be one of the most decorated professional wrestlers on the planet today. I held the Internet championship three times and I beat everyone who came at me. When I lost the championship, I got it right back by beating the people who beat me first.”

“This is what I do. I then snatched up those mixed tag team championships and save them from a team that honestly had no idea what to do with them. They wanted to elevate them by barely holding them and being a couple of moronic chuckleheads who talked about the future while simultaneously living in the past and stayed nestled in the shadow of their mentors, one of which doesn’t have the guts to walk her aging ass back in the ring to face me, instead being content with talking shit on twitter.”

“It was pathetic. But I still went ahead and took those championships. That would be impressive enough right? Beating some of the so-called Hall of Fame stars that this company has while beating every single young star that this company also has, while defending and regaining a championship that so many other people had forgotten about until Tempest got her hands on it and restored some of the glory I gave it….. I made the SCW Internet championship matter. Just like I have made the mixed tag team championships matter.”

Her nostrils flare as she looks down at the bombshells championship sitting in front of her. Sitting right next to the tag team championship that she mentioned. She closes her eyes again and calms herself down. Again, no point in snapping and going too far overboard.

”But, after all of that I was still being ignored. I was. You can all deny it and you can all say that I had a certain amount of respect but I didn’t. And I watched the biggest prize in this company, at least for the bombshells, was being disrespected. Not even buying unworthy champion. Because Julianna as much as I dislike her was a worthy champion. She just wasn’t the type of champion we needed. see Julianna. DiMaria believes that the title makes the champion not the other way around. Where is I know you need to make the championship. After so many big names holding this thing, for it to fall how it has is more indicative of where the division is as a whole.•

“And I refuse to let this championship fail. I refuse to let it fall to the places that other titles have in this company. I mean I get it, Julianna isn’t the one who made this championship fail. It was Courtney Pierce. But she had so much to live up to. Courtney was a champion that had to follow Amber Ryan Roxi Johnson and Masque De Lune  trading the championship back-and-forth over and over again for essentially two years”

“I’m here to do what needs to be done and restore the championship to where it needs to be.”

“And I did by taking the championship to the main event. And I continue to do that by main eventing and being a star. Last time you all saw me I destroyed Ariana Angelos again. That match was quite honestly a waste of my time. That is a woman who I have beaten so many times that you’d think if she was presented with a contract to face Me the first thing she would do is tear it up and the second thing she would do would be to yell at management and tell them that she doesn’t want to face me ever again. That is what a sane person would do. Unfortunately the little Greek twit has no idea what she’s doing with her life. So in a moment that is quite literally the definition of insanity. She keeps throwing herself at me like a desperate woman in her mid forties would to a halfway decent looking young man at a bar.”

“And much like that man I have to tell you Ariana, I’m not interested.”

Kayla laughed to herself and shook her head before reaching down and picking up the SCW bombshells world championship and throwing it over her leather jacket clad shoulder. She holds the title close and smiles before shaking her head.

”Now while I know that I have to keep on jumping into the ring and staying active, I have a very large match coming up that I need to focus on. I’m facing Julianna DiMaria one on one in a two out of three falls match. And as I focus on that I am staying warmed up and staying in match shape by facing some of the apparent best that this company can throw with Me. Ariana is definitely not a name that I would consider to be a threat to me. But Harper Mason? While she she is certainly much more of a challenge than Ariana is I also wouldn’t consider her a threat and I would also consider this match to be a colossal waste of my fucking time.”

“Now, Ariana has held a roulette championship as well as holding the Internet championship after I was done with it. She wasted both of those opportunities in both of those divisions. Harper Mason hasn’t had opportunities in those divisions. So you might think that because she hasn’t been a champion I might believe she isn’t as big of a threat as Ariana was. The truth is? I know Harper is a bigger threat. Because Harper hasn’t been tainted by the same brush of failure that Ariana has. Harper, you are a struggling new name in this company. You are someone who does have talent. But you’re also someone who hasn’t been able to realize that potential that everyone including management apparently sees in you.”

“Potential  is a loaded word in this company.”

“I was painted with the potential brush when I stepped in here. And that’s all I ever heard. Even as I had a winning record all through the first two years I was here, I still didn’t get to where I needed to be until I stood up and talk what I was owed. Shit, I am undefeated on climax control, I am undefeated this year. And I need to stop myself because as I use that word undefeated I’m starting to sound like Julianna DiMaria and nobody wants that.”

She chuckles again and gives a small shrug before looking down at the bombshells championship and running her thumb across her nameplate. A huge smile comes across her face as she is filled with a sense of pride and happiness.

”The fact remains that I am one of the scariest women on this roster. You can look at women like Tempest or Zoey Lukas who are huge and muscular and can break people in half. You can look at women like Bella Madison who have legacies with their parents on their side. but when push comes to shove? When you really look at who is the most dangerous Harper, you look at a woman like me. Because I am a woman like you who had that word potential thrown at me. But unlike you who isn’t really living up to it, unlike you who is sitting back and smiling as she gets given opportunities like this one, I’m a woman who takes opportunities. This isn’t the type of opportunity that you want.”

“This is a non-title match on a show where I’ve never been defeated as I’m pissed off and heading into a huge title defense. And most people would believe I’ll be distracted by that right? The looming defense on the horizon. But I want you to look at it this way. I was embarrassed by my challenger, she attacked me and I have not been able to get my hands on her. She taunted me and I wasn’t able to smack that smug look off her face.”

“So, let’s say I have some pent-up aggression”

“Let’s say I have some anger issues.”

“Who do you think I’m getting ready to unleash all of that on? You are coming into this match with a huge smile on your face thinking it is some type of gold and opportunity. And I admit facing a world champion in a main event for someone like you is an opportunity. but against a woman like me in the mood that I’m in, it’s less of a golden opportunity and more of a punishment. So I have to wonder just who the fuck you have pissed off. Because you could put in a good showing against me and I could slip on a banana peel or have some kind of concussion or get stung by a Madagascan wasp thereby making me paralyzed, that is the only way that you would ever come out of this a winner.”

Now she starts letting herself get angry, sneering as the words come out with a certain venom.

”No, the reality of this situation is going to hit you. You’re going to walk down to that ring, you are going to get between those ropes, and instantly you are going to be in deepwater unable to breathe. Because I am going to drown you. I’m going to drown you in the realisation that I am a champion who has been backed into a corner. A champion who has been embarrassed. A champion that had to claw her way up through everything and earn everything and take everything. Who now has to be put against a woman who has potential, the potential to be good.”

“Good…not great.”

“And with what I have coming at me? The type of woman who I know has nothing to lose and that makes her dangerous? Facing you Harper? I’m going to have to use you to make a statement. It might be cruel, it might be something that you never expected, but it is something that I have to do. so when the dust is settled and you are laying there staring up at the lights I want you to know something. This was never ever. But if you want to blame someone, for what is about to happen to you. For the pain that you are about to go through. Then you need to go and find Julianna DiMaria after this match and you need to get her to apologize to you, because everything that I’m about to do is her fault. And I’m not sorry.”

Harpin’ On With Harper, Wondering Around the Ruins of Troy, Turkey
Monday the 13th of May 2024, 14:00pm

(on camera, start vlog)

The vlog starts with Harper checking out the ruins of Troy, wondering around the area.

”The ruins of Troy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site open to the public, you know I don’t think the folks at UNESCO ever envisioned that this place would be the site of a wrestling event but then again, same can be said for Hastings, Normandy and Arras, France.” Harper shakes her head before folding her arms. ”But enough about the present day because Troy is easily the most ancient of the battle locations SCW is visiting on this tour, to the point that the story of Troy is almost Mythological really! And if you don’t know the story then what rock have you been under? The story of Achilles alone invented a whole trope.

Which is fitting I guess, because this Sunday I’ve gotta find the Achilles Heel of none other than the World Bombshell Champion!”

Harper lets out a deep breath.

”Let’s get right down to brass tacks, this match against Kayla is the biggest of my career to date! Yeah, it’s non-title but it’s still a Main Event against the top champion of the Bombshell Division and I have faced former World Bombshell Champs before, Courtney, Mercedes, Sam, Crystal, I’m sure they’ll find a way to book me against Seleana at some point but until then? That’s a pretty impressive list of Bombshells I’ve beaten, isn’t it Kayla?” “Granted a few of those wins were tainted, my first win over Mercedes, the wins over Courtney and Sam, and off course my loss to Bea Barnhart which I’m sure Kayla is just dying to bring up!

I said it once, and I’ll say it again, Bea is not better than me! That old bitch had to cheat to get the win over me and I’m still waiting for a return match! But more to the point, people already have me pegged as the underdog heading into the match with Kayla, she’s the top champion, I’m the premier rookie of the Bombshell Division, the one who’s racked up some impressive wins in the months that followed her SCW debut, the one who has only ever challenged for a title once in her SCW career and it’s Kayla’s favourite title, the Bombshell Roulette Championship! And yes Kayla, that was sarcasm!

So what’s the deal Kayla? Are you viewing this as a glorified warm up for your rematch with Julianna at Into the Void? Are you annoyed that the bosses couldn’t throw you one of the names I listed above? If the answer was yes to both, tough shit! You’ve instead got a rookie bombshell who was trained by Team Hero, was a standout high school wrestler and a black belt in taekwondo! I know you incorporate Martial Arts into your wrestling style Kayla and I guess it boils down to one question at the end of the day.

Can the rookie who’s not even twenty and has just over a year of experience under her belt score the upset of the year and beat the World Bombshell Champ? One way to find out!”[/color][/b]

Harper’s Hotel Room, Hissarlik, Turkey
Tuesday the 14th of May 2024, 14:00pm

We see Harper sitting in her hotel room browsing the internet on her laptop, the upcoming match against Kayla Richards was on her mind.

”I entered the Blast from the Past Tournament to get experience and I was pinned in my one and only match.” Harper muttered to herself as she checked her Facebook page. ”How the hell did that qualify me for a non-title match with Kayla? I guess it’s better than running Kayla vs. Ariana for the millionth time which they’ve already done.” Harper shook her head before something caught her eye. ”Lorna Shore are touring the US with Whitechapel, Kublai Khan and Sanguisugabogg and there’s a Las Vegas date in October?! God I hope SCW doesn’t have a tour planned for that week! Then again I can fly back and forth easily with my EWC pay check so maybe it won’t be that bad? What’s the likelihood of SCW doing an interdimensional tour?”

Harper’s musings were cut short when she got a Facebook messenger call and checked it, it was one of her trainers Keira and she immediately answered it. “Hey Harper! Enjoying your first international tour with SCW?” Keira greeted her when the call started and Harper grinned. “I know your Blast from the Past plans didn’t work out but this is a good opportunity to wrestle in front of international audiences.”

”At least until SCW returns to the US! But yeah, I’ve been loving it.” Harper responded as she leaned forward. ”Getting to wrestle on the beaches of Normandy was cool and I learned a bit more about my family’s history, and getting to spend time in France was cool.” Harper let out a deep breath. ”And then we have this week’s match.”

“Yeah, I saw the card, and I’m sure you have more than a few thoughts about this match with Kayla.” Keira nodded in response and Harper sighed. “On one hand, it’s a Main Event non-title match, and I believe your first ever in SCW.”

”Yeah, it is, I’ve opened shows twice, once in my debut match and again at the start of the year, I’ve never even been in a Semi-Main Event! The closest I got were my rematch against Crystal and my match against Tempest.” Harper responded as she let out an exasperated sigh and Keira nodded. ”I don’t know Keira, it kinda feels like I’m being thrown to the wolves here, and I don’t mean Kayla’s tag team with Finn either.”

“I can see why you feel you feel that way Harper but me and Roxi have trained you for moments like these, Kayla will view this as a walk in the park, it’s up to you to prove her wrong win or lose.” Keira added as she leaned back. “Off course there’s my history with Kayla as well.”

”Oh yeah, you beat Kayla to achieve the grand slam right after she won the Internet Title for the first time.” Harper remembered with a nod as she thought back. ”Kayla got the title back at that year’s Violent Conduct but you were ready to call it a day then and there, until that whole business with Krystal last year.”

“In wrestling only two things are certain, egos are gonna get bruised to hell and back and retirements rarely stick! Off course, this time I’ve got my pregnancy to keep me out of the ring.” Keira nodded in response and Harper grinned a bit. “Kayla is brutal in the ring, literally anyone who’s wrestled her could tell you that, I beat her yes, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t battered and bruised afterwards.”

”Trust me, I’ve seen her matches, I know.” Harper responded with a grunt as she let out a deep breath. ”But how am I supposed to beat her? Math Kayla’s brutality? You know that isn’t my style in non-hardcore matches Keira and unless the card’s been updated when I wasn’t looking? This is just a regular match.”

“That might be your only chance, I told you that not everyone was going to treat you with respect when you joined Hero Academy Harper and Kayla definitely won’t.” Keira advised Harper and Harper hesitated. “I know you don’t like the idea but you have to get out of your comfort zone sometimes, especially if you plan on challenging for the Roulette Title at some point, you’re one of my best students Harper, you’ll figure it out.”

”Yeah, maybe, until then all I can do is focus on figuring out how to counter Kayla’s offence.” Harper responded with a nod before she got a text and checked it. ”Josh wants to meet me in town for some training so I’ll have to call it here Keira.”

“Off course, but just try to remember what I said Harper.” Keira nodded before she ended the video call and Harper closed her laptop before leaving the hotel room.

Harpin On With Harper, wondering around Hissarlik, Turkey
Tuesday the 14th of May 2024,  14:30pm

(on camera, start vlog)

As Harper starts her second Vlog the young Bombshell clearly has a lot on her mind.

”Kayla? I don’t know if you’re going to watch my Vlogs or nots because it’s pretty clear to me that you see this as nothing but a warm up match before your highly anticipated rematch with Julianna.” Harper commented as she sat down on a bench with her iPhone in hand. ”I would’ve thought you’d have learned to stop underestimating the other women in the division by now but I digress! I know you’re a brutal competitor in the ring and I’m beginning to worry that I might have to become something I’m not just so I can beat you.

In other words? I might have to try to match your brutality with my own, I’m not even sure if I have it in me but I can see no other way I can win this!”

Harper lets out a deep breath.

”I mean, in theory I should be able to pull this strategy off, I’m a martial artist with a black belt in Taekwondo and in high school I was a high school wrestling standout, on top of that, I was trained by a woman who’s beaten you Kayle, the one who ended your first Internet Title Reign, I’m sure you remember it.” Harper added as she brushed some hair over her shoulder. ”Who knows? Maybe the premier rookie who happens to be Keira’s top student will be the one to deal you your first loss of the year Kayla? And with only a few weeks to go before Into the Void? How will that help your chances of retaining the title in the match with Julianna I wonder?

Let me make one thing clear though, at this stage of my SCW career I have no aspirations for the World Bombshell Championship, hell I haven’t even won the Roulette Title yet, it’s like I said, I entered the Blast from the Past Tournament to get experience, if I won? Great! But that’s off the table now, isn’t it? I can at least take solace in the fact that the team that beat me and LJ got knocked out in the Quarter Finals but I still found myself in a non-title match with the champion!

Yeah, I have impressive wins over former champions, keyword there is former, against current champions? Well Bobbie just lost the title but it’s not like my title match against her went as planned! But who knows? Maybe a miracle will happen?”

Turkish Countryside
Tuesday the 14th of May 2024, 15:15pm

Harper was busy training in the Turkish countryside with Josh ahead of her huge match.

“Keep at Harper!” Josh encouraged her as Harper did some light jogging around the area. “Remember Kayla wears her pants the same way as everyone else.”

”Yeah and no matter how many times you repeat that phrase it’s never not gonna sound weird!” Harper responded as she shook her head before she came to a stop next to Josh. ”And I know we’re a couple of thousand miles away from your gym but how is jogging supposed to help me prepare against Kayla? There’s gotta be at least one gym in the city.”

“It still keeps your fitness level up and works on your stamina, which will be vital in a main event match.” Josh responded with a nod as Harper took some deep breaths. “Have you talked to Keira?”

”About the match? Yeah, right before I headed out to meet you out here.” Harper responded with a nod as she sat down on the grass. ”She thinks my best shot at winning is to try to match Kayla’s brutality but I don’t know.”

“She has been wrestling a lot longer than you and has wins over Kayla.” Josh responded as he knelt down next to Harper. “But that isn’t like you Harper.”

”I know but it’s not like I haven’t gone that far before, remember my rematch with Mercedes?” Harper pointed out and Josh nodded as he got the idea. ”But this isn’t a No DQ Match, and hell even the regular matches can get brutal, just look at last week’s Main Event!”

“Alexander and Alexandra and Peter and Bobbie were fighting for a title though; this is a non-title match.” Josh reminded her and Harper nodded. “I’ll help you prepare for the match off course but in the end it’ll be up to you.” Josh added and Harper nodded before she resumed training.

(on camera, start vlog, promo time)

As Harper prepares for her last vlog for her match with Kayla she clearly still has a lot on her mind.

”And here we are Kayla, me wondering how exactly I got thrown into this mess and you thinking that I’m a lamb being fed to the slaughter.” Harper said as she shook her head. ”Are you really so arrogant that you’ll dismiss any Bombshell sniffing your precious title for the first time, I’m not even competing for this title and unlike what Jessie would’ve done in her younger years, I wasn’t actively campaigning for a shot either.

Hell the only thing I’m really actively campaigning for is a return match with Bea and I’ve already gone over the reasons why your itching to use that against me!”

Harper shakes her head.

”I mean, if we’re going to use our darkest moments against each other, why don’t I bring up how your first title match in SCW ended? You had the Roulette Title won after you eliminated Mercedes but because you were so busy gloating you didn’t see Melissa’s foot coming until it had an intimate meeting with your face, costing you the Ultimate X Over the Pool Match! That wasn’t your brightest moment was it Kayla? Sure you bounced back in the Indian tour but considering all the success you had since then? Not a great start is it, oh wait, you hate the Roulette Division don’t you? Even though there’s plenty of evidence that the girls in that division go even harder than the Internet and World Bombshell Divisions.

Is it because it’s the one division you never succeeded in? Or do you prefer to ignore the black eye on your otherwise impeccable title record? Don’t answer that Kayla, we both know the answer.”

It’s that simple.

”The long and short of it is Kayla is that it’s about damn time someone took you down a peg and losing potentially your last Climax Control Match before Into the Void? Yeah, that’ll do the trick and I’m happy to be the one to serve you a taste of the humble pie!” Harper said as she stepped forward. ”Go ahead Kayla, try to find something original to use against me because I’ve heard it all by now, “oh she lost to Bea” big fucking deal! Everyone and their mother has used that bullshit decision against me, “oh she’s just a younger Jessie” how many times do I have to say that that’s not true?! Even when that one quote about the Roulette Title got twisted to make it seem like I was already making noise about a return match after I lost to Bobbie I was quick to shoot that down! Give me something new because I’m sick of hearing the same old bullshit being thrown at me by other wrestlers who know fuck all about me!

Or don’t, either way I’ll make you eat your words on a silver fucking platter.”

And with that Harper decided to wrap things up.

”I’m the underdog here Kayla, you know it, I know it, the Turkish crowd will know it, everyone knows it! But either I score the biggest upset win of the year or I go down fighting, or hell, maybe I’ll score my first ever draw in SCW?” Harper shrugs her shoulders as she folds her arms, ”This may seem like an easy win to you Kayla but if you head into this match thinking that then you’ll have your head so far up your own ass that I’ll have to kick your backside to give you a concussion! Until then? I’ll shock the world at “Wasn’t Built In A Day Part VII: My Greatest Challenge?” because the world needs a new hero and her name is “The Slaytanic Avenger” Harper Mason!”

Harper turned off her camera as the scene fades.

Silence.

More often than not he sat there in that padded room in silence. Every now and then he’d heard something down the hall. The few times a day a doctor came in.

To dispute meals or meds. That’s when things were a little on the noisy side. Aside from the voices in his head. They were always going.

All of the sudden he heard the door on the outside starting to be unlocked. Forcing him to turn and sit up in his bed as the door was opening.

In stepped a very older looking man. Same white coat as all the other sheep seemed to wear. However the badge on his coat was unlike any of the others.

This had to be of significance right? When the two men met eyes, the doctor began to speak.

“Entity? Is that correct?”

“Oh what a pleasant surprise.
The head of this. . . establishment.
Has decided to come out from behind his desk.
And pay me a visit.
What do I owe this honor?”

“Sarcasm I am very fluent in.
Anyway, Mr. Entity. I have come by to inform you of some changes.
You’ve yet to comply with a lot of the things we’ve tried.
To help you get better with your. .. issues.”

“Issues? See that’s a matter of deaf ears, doc.
I have said it many times before to Dr. Wynn.
I don’t have any issues. There’s nothing truly wrong with me.
Everything was taken from me.
I’m simply here to embrace my dark side.
And channel it in who I need to be going forward.”

“So, I’ve heard. . .
With that being said, the other thing I need to tell you.
I regret to inform you but going forward Dr. Wynn will not be your physician.
She has informed me personally that it has become too much for her.
It’s taking a toll on her own mental health.
And she no longer feels safe around you.”

As soon as the statement had been made by that older bearded man. Entity found himself laughing at the doctor. It wasn’t just a little laugh.

A full blown chuckle. The brow of the older doctor found itself narrowing into a bit of a glare. Not finding anything he was saying to be amusing.

“I don’t think it’s very amusing that you made one of my top physicians feel unsafe.
Not even in the slightest bit.”

“Unsafe is amusing.
We had one incident in the few years I’ve been here.
She learned to respect me after that.
Everything has been fine, but now I know why we haven’t had our weekly chat.”

“And had I known about you attacking her prior.
I’d removed her from your case long ago.
But mentioning her family.
Information I’m not even sure how you got.
That was the final straw.”

“The final straw?
Once again everything is so misinterpreted about me.
I never mentioned her family to scare her.
She was so eager to know more about me.
I wanted her to know I knew a lot about her.
Patient and Doctor bonding if you ask me.”

“I will give it to you.
You’re a real master manipulator.
But it isn’t something I haven’t encountered before.
I know how to deal with patients like you.
From this point on, you’re my problem.”

“That doesn’t work for me.”

“I don’t really care what works for you.
You’re a patient in my hospital.
Things will go how I see fit.”

“Are you sure about that?”

That one statement came with such a horrific tone. That older doctor looking back at Entity who continued to hide behind that mask.

His soulless eyes could be seen. They were glowing with a sudden hint of rage. The doctor could feel the hair on the back of his neck standing up.

“If you don’t get Dr. Wynn back.
Then your wife is going to become a widow.
If I don’t deal with Dr. Wynn exclusively.
They’ll never find your body.
If I don’t speak to Dr. Wynn soon.
It’ll be the most painful experience of your life.”

“Are you threatening me right now?!”

“Threats are something done to make people live in fear.
And most of the time threats aren’t carried out.
It just gets people to do what you want them to do.
This isn’t a threat. This is the reality of the situation.
If this doesn’t happen. There will be consequences for your actions.
Much like those who have harmed me in the past.

Soon they will have consequences for their actions.
No longer will my voice not be heard.
No longer will people get away with doing me wrong.
I’m finding out who I am.
Soon, I’m going to be allowed to show the world.”

The little bit of flesh that could be seen from under that mask was his lips. They curled into a sinister grin. But to the doctor this was all just talk.

“Sounds like we need to ramp up your medication.
Your delusions are starting to get the best of you.”

“And your ego is about to get the best of you.”

“I think it’s tim. . .”

Before the doctor could finish his statement. The masked man rose from his bed and rolled his eyes back. No sooner than that gesture was made.

The lights went out in the room. Pitch darkness overcame them both. The sound of keys being fumbled could be heard briefly.

All before the shrieking and horrified male screams came from the doctor in the darkness.

Eleven years.

It had been eleven years since he had a conversation with Nicole. It had been eleven years since he had last held his children in his arms.

It had been eleven years since he walked out without a trace. No goodbyes. No I love yours. Vanished without a trace.

Because he had been forced to believe and feel like that was the right thing to do. But nothing had prepared him for the conversation he would have the first time he saw Nicole.

Nothing could have prepared him for the news he received. The man had already grown cold-hearted. Felt the world was evil. This just confirmed it.

OUR BELOVED LACEY
MAY 29TH 2007 - SEPTEMBER ERD 2019
GONE TOO SOON, WE LOVE YOU BABYGIRL.

He stood there looking at the headstone of his daughter. She was only twelve when she crossed over to the otherside. Everywhere Nicole told him turned out to be true.

A drunk driver sped through the school zone as his daughter tried to cross the street. Ultimately taking her life at such a young age.

He found himself kneeling down and placing a hand on that tombstone. Feeling the instant regret fill him. His tear ducts immediately filled with tears.

His voice was shaky as he spoke out loud.

“I am so sorry Lacey.
So fucking sorry babygirl.
Daddy was so selfish in so many ways.
And broken in so many others.
If I had known this was going to happen.
I would have never left. . .”

His voice was trembling with each word he spoke. To the point some of them could barely even be heard. His fist balled up a little more.

“I shouldn’t have let them take me away from you.
I shouldn’t have let them affect my mental health.
I shouldn’t have allowed them to take away who I am.
To the point I felt I had to go away. It’s all their fault.

But I'm at fault for being too weak to look past it and be there for you.
For your brother, for your mother.
This is something I will never ever forgive myself for.
Nothing that I’ll ever be able to move past.

It will forever haunt me to know I failed as a father.
If I had been around your mom wouldn’t have been working three jobs.
You wouldn’t have been walking home from school.
I’d make sure someone was there to pick you up.
Make sure you got home safely.

But because I failed as a father.
Because I let them get to me and take me away.
You’re no longer here. You’ll never be back.
It’s all my fault.”

True raw emotion poured out of the man. Everything hit him like a ton of bricks and forced him to realize what a grave mistake he made.

“Lacey, I don’t know how I’ll go on now.
Knowing everything I know and knowing you’re no longer here.
But what I do know is I have been motivated by revenge.
For a good little while now. But now. . .
I won’t rest until I spill Mark’s blood.

I won’t rest until I spill Christian’s blood.
I won’t rest until I take down that entire company.
They took me from you when you needed me most.
For all they did for my mental health. And now more than ever they must pay.
Daddy will make you proud.”

He couldn’t be here any longer. It was too much for him as he had felt he failed in such the highest of magnitudes. Slowly raising back to his feet.

Although every part of his body felt heavy. It made him feel like he was just going to collapse but he held it together and managed to get up.

Turning to slowly start to walk away from the headstone. Heading for the side of the road where the vehicle he was using was parked.

Nicole was standing there leaning against the car waiting for his return. He didn’t say anything to her as he started to walk around to the driver’s side.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t go down there with you.
It’s just still very. . . difficult for me.
I can’t even clear out her room and it’s been six years.
You understand don’t you?”

He gripped the handle to the driver’s side door and started to pull up on it. Because he didn’t give a response it resulted in Nicole lashing out a bit.

“Goddamnit! How could you do this to us?!
I have tried to wrap my mind around everything.
From you disappearing. To you walking back into my life days ago.
Everything that led you down the path you went down.
It just doesn’t make sense to me.
You left us high and dry!”

Her emotion was starting to pour out of her. She couldn’t contain it anymore. Rightfully so it was eleven years of pent up frustration.

“Nicole. . .”

“No, you’re going to hear what I have to say.
I’ve waited eleven years to say this.
How could you let a company you work for break you like that?
How could you let men that don’t truly matter affect your mindset?

How could you let them get inside your head to the point you walked away from us?!
I thought you were stronger than all of that.
I had to tell myself you didn’t love me anymore.
I had to explain to our children you gave up on us.

I had to tell your baby girl as she fought for her life. You wouldn’t be there.
I had to bury her without you standing by my side.
I have to watch our son last out every day because eleven years later.
He still doesn’t understand.

I went through every bit of this alone.
If you let them break you like this. If what you’re saying is true.
Then you’re a coward. You’re a weak minded man.
You are a worthless father and I should have never dated someone like you!”

She was glaring at him. With tears starting to roll down her cheeks.

“And another thing. . .”

That’s when Nicole stormed from the side of the car she was on to where he was. Violently reaching up and grabbing a hold of the mask that sat on his face.

She then ripped it off and held it in her hand. Ever since coming home. He had taken it off once, just to show her he was who he said he was. She continued to glare.

“Get rid of this fucking thing.
Stop being ashamed of who you are.
Be a man and fix this.
Fix it to the best you can.
Or you can walk away again.
But this time don’t come back eleven years later!”

Nicole then found herself throwing the mask at him. It hit him in the chest before falling to the ground at his feet. Silence overtaking them for a moment.

Before he finally managed to look up from the mask on the dirt ground to meet her eyes. His own eyes were still filled with tears.

“I’m trying Nicole. . .
I’m trying!”

His body finally gave out as he collapsed against the side of the driver’s door. Breaking down into a full on cry. All of those emotions hit him at once.

Nicole found herself doing the exact same thing. Breaking down fully as she hovered over the top of him. Eleven years was far too long. Cost him much-much more than he thought.

Escaping into the darkness.

That was the Entity’s thing. They came and they went as they pleased in a situation like that. Following the show though, he had to begin his next journey.

Night had fallen and down the street Entity walked. Blending in with the dark sky. That was until he was coming up on the corner.

There was one little pub that was shining bright. A few men standing on the outside chit chatting with each other. No intention to pay attention to them.

As they got close. Entity aimed to walk across the street with no problems. That was until he heard one of them speak in a drunken slur.

“Look at the freak show that is.
Must be one of those ‘wrestlers’ in town.
Quel tas de conneries!”

Now whatever had been said in his native language got a couple of laughs out of the other two men standing by him.

Entity couldn’t simply let it go. Turning themselves around as their mask lit up there in the pub’s outside lights. Those soulless eyes narrowing on the man.

“Do we have a problem?”

“Go on before I beat the hell out of you.
Ce n'est pas une simulation, mon fils.”

A few more chuckles escaped them all. The one tough french man standing there with a smirk. This lead to Entity stepping forward.

“I’d like to see you try.”

“Try? Are you Stupide?”

“Maybe I am.
Maybe I’m not.
Is that a risk you’re willing to take?”

“Fuck this.”

Following the French man’s drunken words. He went to step forward and was quickly met with a shot to the throat from Entity’s right hand.

The man dropped to his knees gasping for air. Clutching the beer bottle in his hand which resulted in Entity quickly stepping on his hand.

Taking the beer bottle from it and then turning to quickly BASH it against one of the other men’s heads that had been standing there. Dropping the poor man.

The third man locked eyes with Entity briefly before starting to hightail it down the street. Entity then heard the man that had been mocking his gasping with words.

“S'il te plaît! Arrête, je suis désolé!”

Not understanding what was said, but showing no mercy at the same time. Entity drove his knee right into the man’s skull knocking him back against the pavement.

In doing so, a folded up piece of paper fell out of the man’s jacket pocket. Curiosity overtaking the masked figure as he reached down and grabbed the paper.

Opening it up within seconds. Peering at it before peering down at the now unconscious frenchman.

“All that talk. Just for you to be a fan.
Pathetic, if you ask me. At least. . .
I know who my next victim is!”

Briefly his lips were in that wicked smirk. Tossing down the paper on top of the man. It landed right on his chest. Turns out that piece of paper.

Was a flier promoting Climax Control next week in Troy. More importantly on that flier was a photo of both Entity and Eddie Lyons.

A clear promotion for what to expect next week. Entity found himself just walking over the unconscious man to get across the street.

Quickly disappearing into the darkness where he feels the most at home.

Camera: ON

An eerie silence was already set in with the shot opening up to reveal what appeared to be an abandoned zoo. A slow shot went from empty cage to empty cage.

Ever so often catching what looked like to be bones inside those cages.. Whether they were from a decreased animal or not remained a mystery.

Then the true distraction took place. That familiar loud and booming voice could be heard speaking up. Right away sending the shot looking for the masked figure.

“Lions are known as the King of the Jungle. . .”

Finally the shot found Entity. They found themselves sitting there in one of those empty rusted cages. Seemingly in comfort of sorts. Leading to the camera shot zooming in a little bit.

“And for those who do not know why that is.
It’s because Lions are true apex predators.
They rule over their territories with unmatched strength and authority.
The fear they strike into their prey is paralyzing.
And when they’re on the hunt. Nothing and no one can stop their intentions.”

The soulless eyes were just focused on the top of the cage. Looking right up as his words were coming out with flow. It was a bit of a mystery where this was headed.

“Only the true unintelligent dare cross a lion.
To which they pay for their crimes every single time.
It’s a sight to see, but with that being said.
I find it rather amusing that the Sin City faithful like to talk about someone specifically.
And in talking about him. . .
They compare that man to a lion. Say he carries himself with the same mentality.
But I’m not buying it!”

A slight shake in Entity’s head could be seen. Before they stood themselves up. Making sure to put those evil sets of eyes on the recording shot.

“Eddie Lyons. . .
That’s the one that they speak so highly of.
The man they say has that lion mentality.
And the one they see big things in. To the point.
I’ve heard him be called a future World Champion.
A certified Main Event star.
Someone that the company can build around.

But like I said Eddie.
I don’t buy into any of that.
Everything I have heard has been laughable at best.
There’s nothing that’s being said that makes me view you in that light.
Honestly, answer this. What makes you the King of the Jungle around here?
What makes you a true Apex Predator?
Why are you a lion around here? Aside from the dumb spelling of your name.”

The masked figure found himself moving the old rusted gate to the side. Stepping on out of it. Allowing himself to move more freely.

“You see, like I said Lions are true apex predators.
They make sure the jungle understands they are the top of the food chain.
But you haven’t done that. If you were a true predator.
Then your spot in the main event would already be secured.
However, at this point. I don’t think you’ve even sniffed a main event match.

If you were the King of the Jungle.
The World Heavyweight Championship would be around your waist right now.
Instead you’re only good enough to hold a secondary championship.
In a gimmick division where on any given sunday.
If the roulette lands in someone’s favor. It’s a guarantee they win.

That’s not about skill or in this case showing those predator instincts.
And the last time I checked. Lions show no mercy.
They don’t just prey on the weak. They don’t just thrive off hunting the less than equal.
Lions will go toe to toe with their own kind.
Different true beasts. Venture into other territories and take over if needed.”

Based on every word that came out of the Entity’s mouth thus far. It was more than clear they were set out to devalue the Roulette Champion.

“You on the other hand Eddie.
The only time we have seen this ‘lion mentality’ people claim you have. . .
Is when it has been against the weakest of prey.
You thrive on eating the weak.
The Rodrigo Alfonso, the Bill Barnharts, the Justin Smiths.
And hell... even the Peter Vaughns of this company.
That’s pathetic. Not very King of the Jungle like.

And I can already see the future.
You may not be able to defend the constant targets and easy wins over three of them.
But you’ll be willing to die on the hill that Peter Vaughn shouldn’t be lumped in with them.
You’ll talk about your supposed historic big time win over Peter - who became the. . .
The longest reigning Roulette Champion.
Yet that goes back to how I said that division is all about luck.
You remove Peter from it.

You put Peter in a situation where the World Championship is on the line.
He fails. You put him in the ring with true top tier talent.
He fails. You put him in a situation where he has to show what he's truly made of.
And he fails. He’s not the man you claim.
Your ‘big’ win over him truly means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
But more importantly than anything else Eddie.
You’re not the Lion people claim you are.”

An almost disappointed shake of their head could be seen.

“I on the other hand. I’m the King of the Jungle.
I prey on the strong. I assert my dominance.
I set out to take over this territory.
I strike fear into every living being.
And I kill whatever is in my way like a true Apex Predator.”

For the first time since the shot opened up. That wicked smirk that Entity had flashed many times in his most psychotic of episodes could be seen.

“Look at the warpath I am on right now.
I showed up in Sin City Wrestling after eleven very long years.
I went after the one that at the time was viewed as the King of the Jungle.
I targeted J2H. And not once did I back down.
You may point out I didn’t win, but. . .
I sent J2H running for the hills. Made sure he left this territory
I forced him to give up his throne as the King of the Jungle.

HB Carter, that’ll be your next point right Eddie?
Yeah, I lost to Carter. But what did he do with that win?
Nothing as expected. Carter found out real quick.
No one cares about him or his sob story.
But more importantly he found out very quickly.
He didn’t have those predator instincts in him to be at the top.
Look at how he defeated me. The cheap route.

Then made sure he stayed clear away from me.
Because he knew next time he wouldn’t survive.
Miles Kasey and Justin Smith.
Weak prey, but it was needed. Something to eat.
Just to get me to where I needed to go next.
Which led me to Mark Ward and Goth.
One man will likely never stand again.

And will likely never be able to resume his duties as the boss.
While the other one has a second degree burn on his face.
That will ultimately scar.
Forcing him to remember who did that to him for the rest of his life.
But not just that since he didn’t learn his lesson.
I now get to be the one to end his career at Into The Void.
My track record speaks for itself, Eddie.”

For a brief moment Entity then found themselves turning back to the cages that were behind them. Gripping the steel with one of their gloved hands.

Motining for the camera to zoom in.for that brief moment. Which is exactly what they did, allowing Entity to then continue on.

“I am very much like the animals that were once in these cages.
Forced to forget my instincts and forced to forget who I was.
All because I was put in cages like this essentially by having. . .
Sin City Wrestling made sure my legacy was gone.
But deep-deep down. Those predator instincts were always there.

They just had to find a way to come out.
And when they did a few weeks ago. I instantly remembered who I was.
What I am capable of and what great lengths I’m willing to go to in order to get even.
Simply put Eddie, I’m the most dangerous man in this company.
As well as the most dangerous man you’ve ever been in the ring with.

And yet, somehow you believe that you can survive?
You believe that somehow you can take down a true predator?
All because of what people are saying about you?
All because you’re buying into your own hype?
Or is it because of the other lie you tell. . .”

For a brief moment there was a pause that overcame the masked figure. All for a good reason, they wanted to make people question what they meant.

“The lie being that you’re unbreakable.
You’re setting for the belief that no matter what happens to you.
There’s no amount of physical damage done.
No amount of mental anguish you go through.
And no emotionally crippling situation will ever break you.
All of which is nothing more than a lie.

You’re aiming to let the people that believe in you down.
With carrying yourself with that kind of mindset.
As much as it’s a lie, I know that I have to have sympathy.
Even when I don’t want to, because it isn’t like you know any better.
As we’ve discussed before Eddie. No one has truly tested you.
So it’s easy to lie. Even easier to believe the lie.”

Once again the head of Entity shook. It still resembles a disappointed manner.

“But this coming Sunday. I promise you.
You’re going to find out just how breakable you actually are.
Every single punch to your face. It’s going to aim to break your nose.
Or break your cheekbone.
Not so unbreakable in a situation like that.
Are you Eddie?

Of course though, I simply don’t stop at the physical part.
The emotional damage I am going to do to you.
By causing you so much physical torment. To the point. . .
That you're going to question whether or not you can ever wrestle again.
That’s going to be so emotionally taxing. It’ll have you broken on the inside.
Again shattering this facade that you can’t be broken.

And don’t even get me startled on the mental break you’re going to go through.
You see people like you don’t understand me, Eddie.
Every single one of you all think this is about wrestling to me.
And me trying to get even because of what was done to me as a wrestler.
No matter how many times I make it clear. You all make the same mistake.
Then you get in the ring with me and learn the hard way.

All you have to do is ask J2H.
I broke him so bad mentally. He hasn’t wanted to show his face since.
And when he does, it’s because he’s got a beef with some no name kid.
You are going to be broken mentally. You will never recover from this match.
And to top it all off. Those people that believe in your lies and hype you up.
They too will see you as a broken fraud and abandon you.

The talk of violence and breaking the man known as Eddie Lyons was pleasing to the one they called Entity. That much was clear.

With the way they painted lips of the masked figure continue to curl more and more into that wicked smirk with every word spoken.

“Eddie. . .
I’d say this isn’t personal, but it’s just business.
However then I’d just be a liar like you.
This is personal and I’m going to take great pride.
In your downfall!”

The wicked grin of Entity remained plastered all across those painted lips. The soulless and unforgiving gaze of theirs remained on the camera lens as well.

Every word that had been spoken spelled the downfall for Eddie Lyons. All by the hand of the masked figure. There was a sudden flash of white light.

And just like that Entity had disappeared. Leaving the closing shot to be on one of those empty cages. One last final symbolic message sent before fading out.
