Gavin had for whatever reason been away from professional wrestling for some time..  A lot of folks attributed that to his issues with Mikah, his wife.  But to be honest, his issues with Mikah had no bearing on his wrestling career.  He cared for her, he always would.  That was a fact of life in and of itself.  The main reason he had been away for so very long was one much, much more simple.  It was a reason that had tried, and tested his patience on numerous occasions.  But the reason was, for a time, he had simply fallen out of love with professional wrestling.  He had stopped dreaming of gold, he had stopped caring about in ring activities.  He felt he had done what he wanted to do in his previous promotion, Uncensored.  He had been Television Champion, primed for a spot against the World Champion one day.  He was well on his way, and then he ultimately felt like if he had gotten that far in his very first foray into the pro wrestling world on a major promotion..  Well, where could he possibly go from there?  It was a hard act to top, a act he wasn't sure he wanted to top.  So – he made the decision to walk away, as simple as that.  He knew Sin City Wrestling would be alright without him for all these months.  Everything would go on fine..  Just as he had always expected it to be.

He had quit dreaming of a day where he dominated wrestling.  In fact, it had gotten to the point where he felt..  somewhat bored if anything.  It was disappointing to say but for once, he felt like maybe he'd not done all he wished to do.  But all he had wanted.  As a result, he had taken his time off and began to get back in touch with a side of himself he had long thought lost.  Gavin felt he had grown softer, nicer, all of that over his time in wrestling.  Weird to say, sure, but – he had grown complacent and lost some of the vicious streak he felt was an absolute requirement.  It had been smart to walk away, to figure out whether or not he could even find that killer instinct again.  Sure it had gotten him on the wrong side of his own wife, but, believe it or not, while he did miss her..  He couldn't go through life faking the idea that he even cared in the slightest about the world of professional wrestling.  Because to be fair, at the time, he did not.  Inevitably though, it all managed to come back around full circle.  After some time of relaxation, not putting the work in necessary to be a wrestler, training and the like..  His interests slowly became rekindled.  It had taken a while, but finally he began to dream of things regarding professional wrestling once again.

And his dream had been one of Mikah and himself, united with gold on both of their shoulders.  This of course took him back, see, the goal when they first came together with their wrestling talents, even prior to the marriage, was to see them both succeed.  To see them both capture gold and become a 'power couple' of sorts.  Unfortunately, things were in dire straits with Mikah right now, the two of them having various issues.  But – he was back now, and while the dream might not of been possible right now, perhaps he could at least perfect a portion of it.  Perhaps he could finally have the run in Sin City Wrestling he had wanted.  This of course meant bad things for the very first man set to oppose him, the first individual set to go toe to toe with a seemingly revitalized Gavin Stephens..  The man who had once been the scourge of Uncensored Inc.  A man who was as crass, as mean and as violent as anyone.  He didn't desire to be a visionary for a better day, anymore.  A man who wanted to brighten Sin City Wrestling and make it a better place.  Oh no.  Gavin Stephens new vision was one of complete and total anarchy.  And at its helm of course was him, he came in with the intent..  The desire to usher in a brand new age.  A brand new day for Sin City Wrestling, one where everyone would suffer under his hand.  That included his opponent on this day, Kris Halc.

We pick up in a local gym in New York where Gavin happened to spend most of his time when he wasn't at home and the like.  He sat with a few folks near a ring where some young guys happened to be putting on their own matches and the like.  Gavin was a little bit sweaty in his workout gear, kicking back as he chatted with a rather large gentleman beside of him.

“Weird thing is..  I actually miss when she was pissed off at me, in person.  In comparison to this whole mean tweet bullshit she does..”

Gavin sighed as things began with him sitting in a gym where he had been training for his wrestling comeback, taking a sip of his beer as he looked over at a few of his oldest friends.  The main one he was talking to was a large former wrestler type by the name of Mike.  They had been interrupted talking about his situation with his wife.  Which of course was a somber situation indeed, a tough one to talk about considering at this time, he wasn't even sure what their situation was.  And to be honest, he still wasn't.

“If you ask me, it's pretty disrespectful.”

Mike replied as Gavin just looked over at him and shrugged.  He laughed it off and shook his head, figuring it was quite the problem.  And it wasn't just as simple as that, while Mikah had done a few things, Gavin himself had been attempting to piss her off, for him simply being pissed off by her.

“Eh, I've went a bit overboard too.  Emailed her this card the other day, looked all apologetic, then you open it up and there's me flipping her off like, oops, not sorry.”

The guys all laughed as Gavin acted out his approach.  Going as far as to hold a middle finger up for effect, much to their amusement.  Stephens kicked back in his seat and took a drink of his beer again, listening to the responses from one of his friends.

“Damn brother, you cold as hell.”

Mike, the head trainer uttered as Gavin shook his head.  He wasn't cold, he was..  well, comedic in that instance.  Though, he didn't intend to remain funny for long, as many of his opponents would soon find out.  No laughing matter and all of that nonsense.

“Weird thing is – I actually am somewhat sorry about a few things.  But I know that woman, she'll never apologize for the negative shit she does.  Why should I be the one who has to be sorry?”

Gavin spoke honestly and from the heart briefly, a bit of a different thing for him to do. We so often saw how mean and negative Gavin was in the past, it was a weird change of pace to see a hint of honesty come from him.  One could imagine that was one of the perks of his newly found clarity he had spoken of.

“You shouldn't, man.  Marriage is a two way street, when one way just doesn't want to budge, eventually, you know what it ends in.  The big d.”

Obviously Mike meant divorce, as Gavin seemed to think about that for a moment.  Divorce meant giving up in his book, quitting.  And Gavin didn't like to quit, not in anything.  He was a winner, after all, and do winners quit?  Nah.  Winners always chose to soldier it out and prosper.

“I don't think taking my pants off in front of her is going to help..  Then again, I mean, that worked this one time.”

Gavin responded humorously, as the guys around the gym all belted out laughing.  Of course, big D was not exactly what he had been thinking.  No, Mike didn't want Gavin to take off his pants in an attempt to apologize to Mikah.  He was just simply warning Gavin of what could potentially come to pass if neither budged.

“No man, it ends in divorce.”

Mike clarified as Gavin thought about it for a moment.  Not really offering up much in the way of expressions for what he thought of this.  In fact, he seemed oddly calm at the thought.  He wasn't really letting any obvious signs of any problems with, or against that come out.  Which was somewhat odd.

“Eh, me and her will figure it out.  Figured out worse.  Like, we were on ground zero when Liz Smalls 'happened'.  If a couple can survive that, they can survive anything.”

Gavin shrugged it off, deciding to joke his way out of it.  Of course, Stephens had many things in mind right now.  He had a match, his wife, and so on all weighing in on his conscience.  But what would he do?  Could he manage to keep this big return train rolling after everything he had been through over the last little while.

    “...  Good point.”

Various laughs were heard throughout the room as the gang happened to enjoy themselves a bit more.  All of them really having quite the laugh, though, it was mostly the old pals catching up while the rest of the younger ones all hung out and listened.  Perhaps some of them in awe of Gavin, as here was a guy who had truly turned this wrestling thing into well..  something.

“So, big match coming up Gavin?  You're back man!  Don't blow it man, all the training you went through will be for nothing.  Still don't get why you were so secretive about coming back to Mikah.  You'd think that'd of made her happy to know you were coming back.”

Mike spoke excited like as Gavin leaned back in his seat and nodded.  Then hearing him comment about why he had kept it all a secret from Mikah.  It had been a rather interesting thing, and at first, he hadn't even been sure he wanted to come back.  Truth be told, it had all been a rather last minute, abrupt decision as to him returning.

“What can I say?  I love a nice surprise.”

Gavin said with a sly smirk appearing across his lips.  He had always enjoyed doing things in a 'big' manner.  He loved the theatrics of professional wrestling, the surprise, the substance to each and every thing.  He wished to make the most of everything including the 'surprise return' spot, and well..  he had done so.

“You doing alright man?  Last time I saw you, you were happy, lighting the place up, life of the party and all that bullshit..  Now its like, I dunno, you seem sorta off?”

He was right on one thing, thought Gavin.  He hadn't been playing as many games here today, enjoying himself.  No, he was much more calm and somber.  He looked at things through a scope these days, assessing situations and the like.  He hadn't been flying by the seat of his pants and simply reacting, as the old Gavin Stephens might have.  He had changed, quite a bit.

“Me?  I'm fine.  I've just gotten a lot of..  I guess you could say clarity these days.  Seeing things clearer than I used to, and all of that.  I suppose you could say I just 'understand'.”

He spoke calmly, though still being quite vague about what he was doing.  What even his intentions were as a whole.  Seeing things clearer than he used to meant well, something.  But – it was uncertain as to what that even was that it did mean.

    “Understand?  Understand what?”

Mike uttered as Gavin just kicked back in his seat and relaxed, thinking about just how clear it all was.  He knew what was needed, he knew of the path he needed to take.  But he couldn't relay that here, he couldn't put into words just what he was about to undertake.

“The world.  How it works, what I need to do, and so on.  Anyways guys, I've got to go get some work done.  Kris Halc probably won't go too easy on me, nor would I expect him to.”

Still as vague as ever, he stood up and looked to the guys and smiled a bit.  Then began walking as he waved off in their direction, heading toward the exit of the gym as he heard someone speak out from behind him.

    “Later 'bud.”

As Gavin sauntered out the door, he uttered the following word.  Still full of thought about what was about to take place in Sin City.  He was really ready, ready to give it his all and make an impact the likes of which had never been saw before.  It just took the right drive to do so, and fortunately, Gavin had found his.

    “Peace.”

This of course brought everything to a close with Stephens heading towards his car and hopping in.  He sat inside as he pulled out his wallet and peeked down at it, pictures rolling out of it of him and Mikah together during better times.  Still blankly looking at it as the scene came to a close, still with further questions about just what it was going through the so called Televisionarys head.

Eventually, we were treated to a on camera scene of a pumpkin, a Jack-O-Lantern to be specific with a face carved out of it.  A candle burning inside of it as the cameras scanned the streets to see numerous places with various things like this.  It was Halloween and of course people decorated.  Gavin Stephens was seen sitting on the sidewalk smocking a cigarette in a dimly lit area, watching a few kids and their parents pass by as he looked up into the camera.

    “Been a while, huh?”

Gavin spoke rather deadpan, matter of factly as he looked into the camera.  He was dressed in all black, as if it weren't hard enough to see out and see him due to the dimly lit street.  He of course had to add to that by wearing this dark clothing out into the night like this.  He looked more as if he were dressed for a robbery than a Halloween celebration.

“I'm glad you all remembered, if I'm honest..  I'll be the first to admit that my initial run in Sin City Wrestling wasn't anything legendary..  I did some cool things, did some bad things.  But – it wasn't anything to write home about.  No need to bring that up, I've made it easy.  I admit it.  I suppose there is solace in the fact that a Stephens, even if it is not myself, is currently dominating one of your divisions but..  It just isn't enough for me.”

He said with a sly smile slowly appearing across his lips.  Why would Mikah succeeding have been enough for him?  It made sense.  He was back, and he had goals.  He had aspirations.  The question was, what were they?  What did Gavin Stephens desire upon his return to the fold?  Was it something simple like a lower card belt?  Or was he finally gunning for something even higher up the roster?

“The thing I keep hearing is, why did I come back?  Have I came back to stop Mikah from drinking with Mark Ward..  That whole situation is sad and pathetic, in and of itself.  In fact, I'd be very happy if Mark Ward drank something laced with something and simply keeled over never to be seen again..  But I digress, that is not why I am here.  That is not a part of my agenda, or my criteria for returning to Sin City Wrestling.  My return serves one purpose, and one purpose only.  And that is to get championship gold around my waist in this company for the very first time.  That means winning, that means getting that prime position, that means..  Well, a lot of bad stuff for you, Kris Halc.  I suppose that is rather unfortunate for you, and I am sorry it has to come to this for you.  But you are a former Internet Champion, you're a guy who sort of has this buzz about him.  And kudos to you, lets all give a clap to Kris Halc.  You deserve it, man.  You have your name out there.”

Gavin mockingly clapped his hands together as the camera closed in on his face.  The serious expression remaining, a stark contrast to the idea of his clapping for this man supposedly being a sort of good thing.  Stephens clearly had no intent of making this a happy moment, or truly giving the man credit where credit was due.

“The issue lies in the fact that by having your name out there, Kristopher..  You've put a target on your back.  Where all these mean, vicious snakes in the grass can slide up and strike.  Personally, I've been waiting for an opportunity to strike and who better than you!  I have not tricked myself into thinking a win over you will mean more than it does, but – the fact remains that a win here?  It's the start, I need.  A win over you is necessary for me, it is mandatory.  It will come to pass.  I will treat myself to a victory over you, and then?  On to the next one, the next one, and the next one.  See unlike all of these children, unlike all of you people on the SCW roster..  I don't wear a mask, I don't play pretend.  I don't act as something I am not.  I was born into this world to create carnage, to create catastrophe.  My vision is one of violence, Kris.  I am a visionary for a brighter day, but that brighter day is my own..  For you?  It's simply a vision of the darkest imaginable days.  You will suffer, and you will submit to my will. Kind of unfortunate that in my exodus, you were one of the few people to comment. You told me something along the lines of 'divorce Mikah', you attempted to tell me, your better what to do.  You won't make that same mistake twice, I damn well guarantee it.  You can look around and clearly see right now, as all these Halloween goers pass me by..  Monsters clearly aren't real.  But – when you step into that ring with me, I will show you horrors that will make you wish they were.  You are going to witness things that make these so called horror icons actions seem like child's play in comparison.”

He said with a laugh, sinisterly gazing into the camera.  Moving some of his hair out of his eyes as he looked into it.  Finally adjusting himself and standing upright, dusting off his jeans as he looked around the locale.  Then back in the direction of the camera itself.

“Winston Churchill once said if you are going through hell, keep walking..  But Winston Churchill never really thought that through.  You will go through hell, Kristopher.  You will be beaten down, I will find where I've hurt you and I will pick you apart piece by piece.  You will joke, you will laugh, but – it will in the end make zero difference.  Because the final sound anyone hears as our match comes to a close will be your cries of agony.  Just remember, when you attempt to look around for someone to blame..  Look in the mirror, look at yourself and realize that this?  This all happened because of you.  Because you made a choice, a small one, no less.  One you didn't necessarily need to make that ultimately came back to be the choice that finishes you.”

Finally, Stephens walked away whistling a tune as the cameras watched for some time..  Till finally his silhouette disappeared off into the night.  The intentions becoming rather clear for at the very least, what Stephens had in the cards for Kris Halc.  But – would the newly revitalized Gavin Stephens stand a chance?  If you heard him tell it, yes, absolutely.  But it remained to be seen whether or not his predictions would truly, truly come to pass..
