Chance of a Lifetime!
« on: May 15, 2015, 09:32:43 PM »
Mayhem in Morocco ended with most of the champions retaining their titles including Roxi Johnson and Raynin but whilst that is pretty big news two even bigger stories emerged from the event, the Mean Girls splitting up and the way Raynin retained her title, the match ended by ref stoppage after Amy had hurt her back to the point where she couldn’t move very much, let alone get up, after failing to hit a Swanton Bomb.

That was two weeks ago and by all reports Amy has recovered from the match but she wasn’t out of the title picture yet, this week on Climax Control Amy was in a Fatal Four Way Match to determine the Number 1 Contender for Raynin’s Bombshell Championship, her opponents? Mikah of the Rejects, Mercedes Vargas of the Mean Girls and her close personal friend, tag team partner and the focus of this promo Jessie Salco, Jessie is obviously concerned over any potential back problems Amy might have stemming from the match but can she win?

Not going to lie, that was one of the scariest things I’ve seen in my wrestling career.

I and Amy have known each other for some time now and in that time we’ve bonded a lot since we formed the Metal and Punk Connection tag team last year, just look at everything we accomplished since we formed the tag team! I’m now a three time Tag Team Champion and I finally scored a win over Necra so it seemed that we were unstoppable.

Pity that doesn’t happen so often in single’s competition.

*flashback*

It was at Mayhem in Morocco and the match between Amy and Raynin was well underway, so far it was a great match and honestly we were already happy despite the fact that I had lost the Internet Title match earlier in the night because of one reason, the Mean Girls splitting up, and we were confident that Amy would win the title again.

“Oh man, that was a great hurricanrana!” Shane said with a grin as we watched the match, I had to agree with him for obvious reasons because I knew just how good a wrestler Amy was thanks to the numerous times we had teamed up over the course of the past few months and all the matches we’ve had together. “Looks like Raynin’s going to the outside.”

“Big mistake against a high flyer like Amy, just ask Jessie.” Jake responded as we watched Amy go for the Springboard Hurricanrana on the outside. “Oh, oh, Raynin’s caught her, wonder what HOLY SHIT!” Jake yelled out as we all winced as we saw Amy get Powerbombed onto the ring apron by Raynin, we just sat there in uncomfortable silence as Raynin rolled Amy back into the ring.

“Amy will fight through this, she has too!” I said after Amy kicked out of the pin attempt and kept fighting back, truth be told I had a gut feeling that I was kidding myself when I said that because that Powerbomb hurt to watch, hell, the whole match from that point on hurt to watch.

“Jess, I know Amy’s your friend but even she has her limits.” Jake commented as Amy failed the second attempt at a Brainbuster, I gave him a dirty look but deep down I knew he was right. “Don’t give me that look, you know I’m right.”

“Just watch, she’ll fight through!” I asserted but, like I said, I knew I was kidding myself, maybe it was denial that Amy would be able to fight through the pain but whatever it was there was one moment where I felt that she was going to pull it off. “THE BAD GIRL!”

“She may have hit it but can she get the pin?” Shane asked and I frowned as I saw Amy go for another weak pin which Raynin kicked out off. “Well, there’s my question answered.”

“You have to wonder how long she can is Amy going to the top rope?” Jake interrupted his own sentence as we saw Amy climb the turnbuckle slowly. “Please, for the love of god, tell me that she’s going for a Shooting Star Press!”

“Even if she does hit it I don’t think she’ll be able to go for a pin.” Shane pointed out as Amy went for the Swanton Bomb only to collide with Raynin’s knees instead, a situation I had seen plenty of times over my career but we could all tell something was wrong when Amy didn’t get up to her feet after the Swanton. “Guys, I hate to say it but I don’t think Amy can get up.”

“Oh my god….” I trailed off as a started to panic, I had seen so many friends of mine have their careers cut short under similar circumstances and it pained me every time, do I even need to say that I was thinking the same thing when Drew ended the match for Amy’s safety. “She’s hurt…..”

“Understatement of the century.” Shane commented before seeing the panicked look on my face and the joking tone he had, presumably to try to make me feel better, disappeared in an instant. “Oh crap, err Jake….” Shane commented and Jake turned to me seeing the look of panic on my face.

“Okay, Shane, go get a bottle of water, it will help her calm down.” Jake instructed him and Shane nodded before leaving our locker room and running down the hallway though honestly, I wasn’t paying that much attention, Jake stood up and walked over to me and despite me being a twenty four year old woman my short stature made me look like a small child compared to the six foot ten former army guy in front of me. “Jess, she’ll be alright, you know she’s tougher than that.”

“I know, it’s just…..” I trailed off as I looked to the side. “You know how many friends I’ve seen had their careers cut short due to injury and I’m worried for Amy.”

“Jess, I’m pretty sure that you’d be hard pressed to find someone who isn’t worried about her at this point but she’ll pull through, she’s a fighter and you know it.” Jake responded reassuringly as the door opened and Shane entered the room before tossing the water bottle at Jake who then handed it to me. “Shane, are the EMTs on their way to ringside?”

“Passed them on the way over, they are heading down to ringside for like the third time tonight.” Shane responded as I finished the water bottle in one gulp and tossed the empty bottle in the trash. “Should I get another?”

“No, I’m going with them!” I insisted and Jake knew better than to try to talk me out of it based on the tone of voice I was talking with. “Get the rent-a-car ready, I’ll meet you in the parking lot.”

“What about the Main Event?” Shane asked and I shook my head.

“I’ll watch it tomorrow, for now I’m more worried about Amy.” I responded as I left the room and followed the EMTs down to ringside, Shane and Jake shared a concerned look before heading in the opposite direction towards the parking lot, something tells me that Christian won’t blame me for leaving early.

*end flashback*

And I ended up being right, Christian called me at home whilst we were watching the replay of Mayhem in Morocco and said that we were excused for leaving the show early for obvious reasons and we ended up being told to leave the hospital whilst Amy was still out cold, still it was a tense few moments and I was mega relieved when I saw Amy’s tweet.

Right now we’re at a restaurant having ordered our food about twenty minutes ago, yes I know that I’m facing Mikah, Mercedes and Amy in two days’ time and yes I know it’ll be a hell of a match especially with Raynin providing guest commentary at ringside but I’m confident that I can pull it off, I hope I can anyway.

“Sucks that Amy couldn’t make it.” Shane commented as he shook his head and I nodded in agreement, I did invite Amy to join us but she declined because she was training for the match on Sunday. “My back still hurts just thinking about that match at Mayhem in Morocco, you have to wonder how she’ll be able to cope with it during the match on Sunday.”

“She’s had two weeks to recover from it, I doubt that she’s 100% since we all saw how she was after the match but if anyone’s ready for this match, well aside from me, Mikah, and Mercedes, it’s definitely Amy.” I responded with a nod as I took a sip from my drink, these past two weeks have been pretty nerve-wracking for me and Amy’s friends in general and I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t worried about her going into the match. “Besides, even at 75% Amy’s a hell of a fighter and I know she’ll bring the fight this Sunday.”

“You don’t need to convince me, I was watching her match against Raynin as well.” Jake responded with a nod and I frowned at that. “Mercedes, well you know how tough she is but Mikah? She’s a wildcard in this match since you’ve never faced her before.”

“I know but if anyone’s the real wild card in this match it’s me.” I responded as I finished my drink. “The other Bombshells in the match have held titles recently but me? My last reign was in December when I was still teaming with Amy on a regular basis, I have nothing to prove but everything to gain in this match because everyone knows that I’m a tough fighter.”

“And don’t forget that Mercedes is still going to be sore over the fact that she was pinned in the Internet Championship match at Mayhem in Morocco.” Jake pointed out with a nod. “She has a lot to prove in this match in this match.”

“The only thing that’ll be proven is how badly I want another title reign.” I responded and the boys nodded in agreement before the waitress came over with our food, the food was good and we finished it in about twenty minutes, neither of us felt the need for a desert so there was really only one thing left to decide. “Who’s paying for the bill?”

“I got the bill the last time we ate out and you have a promo to do so it’s Jake’s turn.” Shane responded as Jake got his wallet out and Shane called for the bill, I nodded before heading out to the parking lot where I got started on my promo.

“Mayhem in Morocco, I don’t think there’s ever been a more appropriate event name in wrestling history! At least four of the matches ended with at least one of the combatants in the hospital and unfortunately that list includes my good friend and occasional tag team partner Amy Marshall but with that said this week I’m facing Amy alongside Mercedes and Mikah for a shot at the Bombshell Title next week and I’m pulling no punches!”

May as well start with Amy.

“I don’t think it’s really necessary to go over our history Amy, pretty much the entire SCW Universe knows it by now so instead I’ll go over what happened at Mayhem in Morocco, you were hurt to the point where the match had to be stopped because you couldn’t get to your feet and as much as I hate to say it your back’s a giant bulls eye right now! Am I saying that I’ll take advantage of it? Maybe, maybe not but what I am saying is that I will be challenging Raynin next week.”

Next up is Mercedes.

“Another person that I have well documented history with and this time it’s Mercedes! Mayhem in Morocco saw the events that I think will lead to the long overdue demise of the Mean Girls and I couldn’t be happier about that fact! I know you’re probably sore over the fact that you were pinned in the Triple Threat match but I don’t care, as far as I’m concerned you’re not getting the shot at Raynin next week, I am!”

Last but not least is Mikah.

“And now I’m moving on to the only Bombshell in this match who I’ve never faced before, namely Mikah! This is my first time facing you but I know from your SCW bio that you are a former champion in your own right, just not in SCW and as far as I’m concerned you won’t be changing that fact next week because I’ll be the one challenging Raynin!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“To be honest, I was surprised when I saw that I had been added to this match for a chance at Raynin next week and I’m sure that everyone’s looking at me like I’m the underdog, that’s fine by me because I’ve been an underdog for most of my life and this is no different! Seemingly everyone is predicting either of the other three Bombshells to win but you can’t count out an underdog like me because if you do, well, I already know what the future has in store for me and it’s the World Bombshell Championship! This is SCW’s Heavy Metal Bombshell Jessie Salco signing off!”

I saw Jake and Shane exit the restaurant and I ran up to them to join them as the scene fades.
