So, it’s been a while, hasn’t it?
So, I now stand before you, the new Bombshell’s internet champion. How about that?! I worked long and hard, and now, I’ve seen my hard work pay off, being champion of the interwebz! This is pretty dang cool, if I do say so myself. But, I know what to expect as a champion, and I don’t want to let this go to my head. Sure, I did win, but It wasn’t even 2 weeks before I was challenged by Jessie Salco! I mean, just last week, I’m there to support my wife in kicking butt, much like she did at Blaze of Glory 4, and I’m challenged by Jessie. Not that I’m complaining, because I love a good challenge, and I expect one from her. But, then again, if Jessie defeats Natalie… then we have a champion vs. champion match on our hands. I don’t know anymore! It’s getting crazy out here! But, none the less, I’m flying to Romania this week, to team with Despayre, who had been asking for my assistance for quite a while, now that we’re both gonna be in the same place, this is the perfect time to help him.
Not to mention, we’re teaming with each other! That’s going to be awesome! Although, I know our opponents are going to give us one heck of a fight. It goes back to being a champion, and knowing what to expect and not expect. And, I do not expect that facing Krissy Filapovic for the third time in almost two months will be anything sort of difficult. 1st time was a draw, the second time, she gave me a heck of a match before I managed to get her. I know she’s hungry to jump right back in line for the internet championship, and I’d gladly give her a re-match any time she wants. But, Jessie was the first to step up, so, Krissy has at least one person in front of her.
But of course, she can attempt to change all that if she and Travis Nathaniel Andrews are successful. I have no doubt that Krissy is capable, but Travis, not so much. Travis likes to talk a big game because Melody carried him to win over Delia and Steve Ramone. But, that was then, this is now. But, I know that Despy is going to kick his butt, so I’ll refrain from talking about him.
It does feel good to have a championship again, and I certainly feels good to be on the winning side of things. The mean girls all lost, with my wife kicking Veronica’s ass like I knew she would. Amy, Natalie, and Misty totally wrecked the Mean Girls too. All in all, this was an amazing past couple of weeks for me in SCW. Seeing all this hard work, finally paying off. Last week was a bit of a setback, but It’s going to be awesome to get back at it this week!
{Landing at the Sibiu International Airport, Roxi exits with her purse, Keira not far behind. They both then walk to the baggage claim and gather their gear bags, and her suitcases. They wheel them through the airport, looking around confused.}
Keira – So…. What’s going on now?
Roxi – Despayre said there was all kinds of … strange activity going on around here. So, we’re here early to investigate.
Keira – He’s weird.
Roxi – We’re all weird.
Keira – So… we’re hunting what, again?
{Roxi leans in}
Roxi – Despy says Vampires.
Keira – Isn’t that… Amy’s department? Or the Clan?
Roxi – Normally, but Amy’s kinda pregnant, and kinda has a severely injured neck.
Keira – Oh yeah… But we don’t know anything about … Vampires.
Roxi – Which is why we need Despy here…
Okay Despy, where are you?
{Roxi pulls out her phone and texts Despayre, her partner for Climax Control this week, as Despayre promised to show her around Romania. Not wanting to stand around and wait, Roxi sees a bench close-by and walks towards it, as it looks empty. But when she gets up to it, having approached from behind, She notices a teddy bear sitting there, holding a sign that reads “Roxi” on it. Roxi chuckles and shrugs, and sits down next to the teddy bear.}
Roxi – So, you must be the agent stationed here in Romania. Well, where’s the guy in charge?
Keira – Why are you talking to a teddy bear?
{Roxi finally stops and thinks about the absurdity of her talking to a stuffed animal in public, and stops talking aloud. She just looks at the teddy bear, and takes the piece of paper, and continues looking around for Despayre, who finally comes behind her and hugs her.}
Despayre – Roxi! How are y –UGH!
{Roxi instinctively elbows Despayre in the ribs, forcing him to back away. Roxi gets up and look in horror at what she’s done. Keira can’t help but laugh.}
Roxi – Despy?
{Despayre raises a hand to Roxi, signaling he’s okay.}
Roxi – Despy I’m so sorry. I didn’t know it was you!
Keira – Yeah, you really can’t sneak up on us like that.
Roxi – I’m… really sorry.
Despayre – No, no… it’s alright, I… guess I should have known better.
Roxi – So… aside from the match we have, are you sure this is…
{Despayre cuts her off, place a finger to her lips.}
Despayre – Shhh! They have agents everywhere.
Keira – Agents?
Despayre – Yes. We shouldn’t talk about it here. We need to find a more secure location.
Roxi – Like where?
Despayre – Follow me.
{Roxi looks at Keira and shrugs as they follow Despayre to a waiting car. After loading their stuff into the trunk, Roxi opens the passenger door, but Angel is sitting in the front seat.}
Roxi – Really?
Despayre – He called it.
{Roxi sighs and she and Keira enters the back seats, and Despayre drives them to the hotel.}
Despayre – Okay… I’m taking you to the hotel where the SCW people are staying. Drop your stuff off, because we’re on a mission.
Roxi – A mission?
Despayre – We’re hunting Vampires! Duh!
Roxi – Despy… listen bud, I don’t –
Despayre – Have they gotten to you?
Roxi – What? No? Listen… We… don’t really have any experience facing Vampires.
{Despayre ponders this, while he drives.}
Despayre – Then we must do research! But first, we have to check out some places.
Roxi – What kind of places?
Despayre – Secret places. Our agents have been looking into things here all week. There might be some hotspots. If we stake them out, and see anything suspicious, we’ll fall back, mark them for future investigation, tonight.
Roxi – Tonight?
Despayre – Yes. Tonight. Vampire’s are only active at night!
Roxi – Oh… alright…
{Despayre drives up to the hotel. Keira and Roxi grab their stuff and enter, checking in and getting their room, and heading up there and dropping their stuff off. Keira however, plops down on the bed.}
Roxi – Aren’t you coming?
Keira – I… I think I’m going to sit this one out.
Roxi – But we could always use another pair of eyes….
Keira – No offense Rox, but Despayre…. Is like a little kid. And… I don’t think there are any vampires here.
Roxi – You never know.
Keira – Even still, I think I’ll take my chances. Just call me if for some odd reason that things do get weird.
Roxi – Alright… you’re loss.
Keira – Yeah, yeah…
{Roxi leaves, heading back down to the car and once again entering the backseat.}
Despayre – Where’s Keira?
Roxi – She’s…. not coming. If we need backup, I’ll get a hold of her.
Despayre – Right… anyway, we need to move, we’re burning daylight.
Roxi – It’s noon.
Despayre – Exactly, only 5 more hours of daylight.
{Despayre peels out of the parking lot driving off towards the mountains.}
Roxi – Where are we going?
Despayre – There’s a cave a few miles from here. Heavy, heavy activity was spotted by one of our agents.
Roxi – What kind of activity?
Despayre – Strange activity. It’s gotta be vampires.
Roxi – But… aren’t most vampires in Transylvania?
Despayre – That’s what they want you to think! They’re everywhere, trust us.
{Roxi turns to Angel in the front seat when Despayre mentions “us”}
Roxi – Oh… yeah… I suppose I can trust you guys.
{Despayre drives on, making seemingly random turns at random intersections, and travels along the mountains, before pulling over at a random spot in the road.}
Despayre – This is the spot.
Roxi – Oh… okay…
Despayre – Come on, let’s go.
{Despayre grabs Angel and they exit the car, heading up the side of the mountain, with Roxi not far behind. Roxi and Despayre try to keep their footing, until they reach some somewhat more level ground. Despayre pulls a flashlight from his pocket and they march through the trees and woods until they reach a cave.}
Despayre – There it is.
Roxi – It’s a cave.
Despayre – Yeah. This has to be the spot. Come on.
{Despayre leads the way, turning on his flashlight and shining it through the cave, Roxi curiously following him. Despayre then stops in his tracks.}
Roxi – What is it?
Despayre – Angel… he senses something.
{Roxi looks at the Teddy bear and almost asks aloud what it senses, but stops herself.}
Despayre – Come on.
{Despayre leads Roxi further into the cave, they come across from wooden pieces, and Despayre drops down to investigate.}
Roxi – It’s just wood.
Despayre – Not just any wood, but pine. Someone was in here.
Roxi – There are pine trees all over the place.
Despayre – These were definitely for coffins.
{Despayre flashes flashlight around more, and sees bats in the cave.}
Despayre – Family members…
Roxi – Or… just bats…
Despayre – Everything is a clue Roxi. There’s no doubt this is a vampire hideout.
Roxi – I’m tending to lead more towards, dank cave myself.
Despayre – Alright, we have another place to check out, not far from here. Let’s go.
{Despayre walks towards the opening of the cave, and soon enough their own, Roxi brushes the dirt out of her clothes, and spider-webs out of her hair.}
Roxi – Is the next place at least not a cave?
Despayre – Well… yes, wait, have you read the reports?
Roxi – No, I just don’t like getting spider-webs in my hair.
Despayre – Well, this next place isn’t a cave. It’s a town. Not far away, we’ll just go on foot.
{Roxi sighs and follows Despayre and Angel, seemingly taking a mile hike across all the uneven land, through trees, and a small stream. They finally arrive on the outskirts of the small town, Roxi looking around, seeing no activity.}
Despayre – This is it.
Roxi – Look abandoned. I don’t think anyone’s lived her for… many years.
Despayre – Perfect for a vampire hideout.
{Despayre ventures into the town, Roxi close behind. Roxi scans the area and true to form, there’s not one person in the area. There’s almost nothing in any home or shop. No animals, no people, nothing. After a few hours of searching. Despayre regroups with Roxi inside one of the stores.}
Roxi – Despy, I hate to break it to you, but there’s NOTHING here.
Despayre – There’s plenty here, this place is ripe for Vampires…
{Roxi looks around, spotting nothing in particular.}
Roxi – If you say so.
Despayre – Trust us, we’re experts. But, we have to get you ready for what may lay ahead.
Roxi – What are you talking about?
Despayre – We’re coming back to these two spots tonight, and we’re going to destroy these vampires. So, in order to get you ready, we have to do some research.
Roxi – What kind of research?
Despayre – You’re going to have to trust me Roxi. I know with your superhero instincts and training, you’ll pick it up in no time. Just come with me.
Roxi – Well… I kinda have to, you’re my ride.
Despayre – Oh yeah, but we’re off to train!
{Despayre and Roxi walk away from the abandoned small town. They make it back to the car, and get in, once again Angel rides shotgun. Despayre peels out.}
Roxi – Where are we going now?
Despayre – A little spot I have. It’s secure, no vampires are getting in, I promise.
{Despayre drives faster, almost giddy with excitement.}
Roxi – So… back there…
Despayre – Pretty heavy right?
Roxi – Yeah, we’ll go with that, but those are hotspots?
Despayre – Absolutely, our field agents never lie.
Roxi – Right… But that town and that cave… how long have you been watching them?
Despayre – A few months. Even since SCW announced the tour was coming to Europe. But really, this is a world-wide operation we’re running here.
Roxi – Oh, that’s… that’s something. And speaking of SCW, I know we’re teaming together
Despayre – Yup. I can’t wait, first we’ll beat the Vampires, and then we’ll beat That Travis guy, and Krissy.
Roxi – Yeah, shouldn’t we be focused on that match, before the vampires?
Despayre – Ha! I have the utmost confidence in us winning a silly tag match.
Roxi – Well, I wouldn’t call it silly…
Despayre – But I think the safety of the free world from vampires is pretty important.
Roxi – Yes… I can agree with that, but… I guess whatever research we’re going to do, will help clear the air.
Despayre – Oh yes, it’ll be very helpful.
Oh goodness, I have no idea where this is going. Part of me wants to just try and convince him that this is really silly. But, the other half, based on who I am, and what I’ve done, always warns me that when everything and anything is possible.
I just hope this research… is actually something.
{Despayre drives on, again taking strange turns, until he pulls up to … the exact same Hotel where they started. He parks the car, and grabs Angel, and Roxi follows him. Not wanting to embarrass Despy, Roxi says nothing.}
Despayre – Welcome.
Roxi – Yeah… thanks.
{Despayre leads Roxi up to his room, where his “research” is laid on his bed.}
Roxi – Uh… what’s all this?
Despayre – Research materials.
Roxi – Wait…
{Roxi looks through a stack of DVD’s, all of them vampire related…}
Roxi – Dracula, Dracula 3000, The Fearless Vampire hunters, Dracula dead and loving it? Despy, sweetheart, this isn’t really research materials.
Despayre – I know, Gabriel torched my Twilight movies. They were the most up-to-date things I could get my hands on.
Roxi – Those aren’t accurate either. In fact, they are probably the LEAST accurate.
Despayre – You don’t think they sparkle?
Roxi – Uh… no.
Despayre – Well, if they do, won’t you be embarrassed?
Roxi – Yes, I’ll eat my socks if that’s true.
Despayre - Still, we have to go with what we have. Vampire movie marathon!
Roxi – Okay… let me… go Keira, She loves Vampire movies.
Despayre – It would be good to have her here in case all heck breaks loose.
{Roxi excuses herself into the hallway, and she walks down to where she and Keira are staying. She knocks on the door and Keira answers.}
Roxi – Kiera…
Keira – What?
Roxi – You’ve got to come over here.
Keira – Why?
Roxi – Because I need you.
Keira – Wait… did something happen?
Roxi – Keira, I don’t know what Despayre is up to, but, it’s weird, and I at least need you over here.
Keira – Ugh… alright, give me a second to get changed.
{Roxi does so.}
Roxi – If it makes you feel better, he is showing a vampire movie marathon.
Keira – …. As long as it’s not Twilight.
Roxi – No. Thankfully that’s not on tonight’s movie menu.
Keira – Good.
{Keira exits, taking her key with her.}
Keira – Now, what’s going on?
Roxi – I don’t know.
Keira – Then why do you need me?
Roxi – In the ridiculously off chance that he’s right about any of this.
Keira – Ugh… whatever.
{Roxi and Keira enter the room just as Despayre pops in the first movie.}
Despayre – Good, you’re here.
Keira – Yeah.
Despayre – Couldn’t turn down a vampire movie marathon could you?
{Roxi nudges Keira.}
Keira – Oh… uh...nope.
Despayre – Good, we’ve got some great, classic movies to watch before we head out!
Roxi – Then… let’s get started.
{Despayre, plops himself down in a chair, a pencil and paper in his hand to take notes. Keira sits down next to Roxi, and then snuggle up to each other as Dracula plays.}
{After Dracula ends, Despayre replaces the movie with a different Dracula movie.}
Despayre – What did you think? I got a TON of notes. Did you take any?
Roxi – Oh… yeah… I got lot of important notes on my phone.
Despayre – We’ll have to compare when we’re done.
Roxi – You got it.
{Despayre pushes play and the next Dracula movie plays. However, due to it’s length, Despayre soon falls asleep about halfway through. The dark has settled in on Romania, and Roxi and Keira check to make sure he’s asleep.}
Keira – Is he?
Roxi – He’s out like a light.
Keira – So, what the heck did you guys do all day?
Roxi – We… drove around and walked through this cave, and then an abandoned old town. Then he brought me back here for “Research.”
Keira – So… was there ANYTHING to suggest vampires?
Roxi – Right now, Christopher Lee is the only Vampire in Romania right now.
Keira – So… what do we do? Just leave him here?
Roxi – No, I kinda feel bad if we do, let’s at least watch the movies. Hopefully he’ll wake up soon.
{Keira looks over at Despayre, curled up and clutching Angel in his arms.}
Keira – Yeah, I don’t see that happening.
Roxi – Well… we could, actually check out those areas, make sure he’s not actually telling the truth….
Keira – Finally, some action.
Roxi – We’ve got to be quick through. Don’t want Despy to think I ditched him.
Keira – But… we are ditching him.
Roxi – Still… I like Despy. He’s a friend. He’s asked me here many times to fight Vampires, I don’t want to let him down.
{Keira rolls her eyes, obviously not thrilled with Roxi’s reasoning.}
Keira – Fine.
Roxi – Just a couple of places. We’re in and out, and back before he knows it.
{Roxi and Keira make a mad dash for their room, putting on their costumes and flying out the window.}
{Roxi leads Keira to the cave, they both pop on their flash lights, scaring the bats and forcing them out of the cave.}
Roxi – Whoops!
Keira – You could have warned me!
Roxi – I forgot!
Keira – If one of them pooped on me…
Roxi – Shhh!
{Roxi and Keira venture deeper into the cave, of course, finding nothing. They’re flashlights far more powerful than Despy’s, the cave isn’t as big as the darkness would suggest, but it’s quite large.}
Keira – Satisfied?
Roxi – Yeah, this cave is creepy enough.
{Roxi and Keira soon exit the cave, and fly towards the abanadoned town. No lights shine, no people, still, the same empty place.}
Roxi – Well, this just confirms everything. So… that’s good.
Keira – Can we go back now? I mean, It’s not like –
{Roxi rushes to Keira and cuts her off as a figure wearing a cape, carrying a lantern walks towards the abandoned town. Roxi and Keira hide, waiting for him to show up. He does, and sets his lantern down.}
Man – So… hungry… must feed….
Keira – You’ve gotta be kidding me…
Roxi – Shhh!
{The man takes out a flask and guzzles what remains down. He stumbles around slightly, picking up his lantern, and beginning to search the old town for something.}
Man – Maybe they’re all people…
{Roxi looks at Keira. Her eyes almost light up.}
Keira – No.
Roxi – It could be!
Keira – Ugh… you’re as bad as he is. I’m done with this.
{Keira flies up and shine her flashlight on the man in question. He actually hisses at the light, and runs away.}
Keira – Hey! Get back here!
{He keeps running but Roxi and Keira soon catch him. He fights and squrims, hissing and acting very…vampire… ish… Eventually, they subdue him, and knock him out.}
Keira – There.
Roxi – You think… he is…
Keira – No. This is just a drunk guy.
{Roxi looks around before reaching her fingers into his mouth, feeling around for fangs. Her eyes widen, as she pulls her fingers back sharply.}
Roxi – He’s got fangs! I think they pieced my skin! I… Oh no! Am I going to become a vampire? I don’t want to be a vampire!
{Keira slaps Roxi.}
Keira – Calm down!
{Roxi stops, and clears her throat.}
Roxi – I’m sorry, but he’s got them!
{Keira shines the Flashlight on the guy’s mouth, opening it and seeing rotten and broken teeth.}
Keira – More like broken teeth. Come on, let’s get back before Despy wakes up.
{Roxi and Keira fly off, Roxi kinda feeling pretty dumb. They fly back in through the window, and change out of their costumes, before heading back to Despy’s room, finding him still asleep. They sit back down, and watch more vampire movies.}
{The next morning, Roxi knocks on Despy’s door, and he stumbles up and answers it.}
Roxi – Good morning sleepy head.
Despayre – Sorry about that… I… uh… must have feel asleep. Hopefully I didn’t miss anything.
Roxi – Nope. Everything was fine.
Despayre – Maybe we can try again soon?
Roxi - Uh… we’ll see. You and those agents just keep me posted on whenever something comes up, okay?
Despayre – You got it.
{Despayre shakes his head, looking around, almost confused.}
Roxi – You okay?
Despayre – I swear, that was so real…
Roxi – What?
Despayre – Oh… uh… nothing. Well, it was good to work with a superhero like yourself.
Roxi – Yeah… I had fun to Despy.
Despayre – Will… will you do me a favor?
Roxi – Uh… sure?
Despayre – Don’t let those vampires get you!
{Roxi smiles.}
Roxi – Oh, I won’t. If they ever do get me, I know you’ll come save me.
Despayre – Darn right Commando Corset! I mean….
{Roxi arches a brow.}
Roxi – Who?
Despayre – Nobody… I’m sorry, that just kinda slipped out. I’ll see you soon, okay.
Roxi – Yeah, sure.
{Despayre closes the door and Roxi walks back to her room.}
Keira – So…. Anything?
Roxi – Nope, he’s still upset he fell asleep.
Keira – Did you tell him?
Roxi – What? That I freaked out over a homeless guy? Yeah, no.
Keira – Still, could have been worse.
Roxi – Yeah… Man… that whole thing yesterday… I was almost willing to believe.
Keira – It’s not hard in our line of work.
Roxi – But… vampires!
Keira – We just beat a demon with a bio-organic host.
Roxi – Touche…
Well, here we are again Krissy. Although this time we’re just on opposite teams, which does make me a little disappointed because I have grown accustomed to tearing the house down with you in singles matches. But that added element of tag team partners does put a little bit of spice to it. So there’s that. Still, there’s something about the two of us hooking it up that has made me very excited every time I see your name next to mine on any card. You have my respect, you’ve earned more and more each time we’ve been in the ring together, and I expect nothing less this time either.
Now, maybe you’re expecting me to brag, or gloat about beating you, and as good as you are, I should, but I won’t. Because you’ve taken me to my limit each time we’ve been out there. The only difference is this last time, I got the better of you. It really was anyone’s match, so I’m very happy to have been on the winning end, but I know you’re about to come back twice as strong this time. Trust me, you don’t have anything to prove to me.
But this tag match, Despy and I have been waiting to team for a long time. You and Travis? Have you said a word to each other? I mean, you were in the Army, you know how important teamwork and communication are. They’re vital keys to success! I think you may be so focused on beating me that you’re leaving your partner out in the cold. Not that he seemed all that eager to team with you either. You guys certainly are not getting off on the right foot. I hope you can pull it together, because Despy and I are ready to go.
I have no doubt that YOU will be ready Krissy, but will it be enough, or will I get the better of you again? I just saying, thus far, the best you could do was a draw. Going 0-2-1 against me isn’t going to do you any favors, but then again, you may not have much of a choice. I am pulling for you to continue to do well, and I hope one day, we can hook up in at least one more awesome match between us. But for now, this tag match will have to do. But, so you know, Despy and I, we’re planning on winning this one too.
Good lucky Krissy. Hope you and Travis are ready.
