Another defense down. Another victory. But, as the old saying goes, there's no rest for the weary. Just like that, it's on to the next challenge. On to the next contender. On to the next hurdle to clear. I never said being champion would be easy, and SCW is proving it time and time again.

Last time is was Alexis Morrison, now it's on to Gothika.  The names are different, the challenge the same, can I once again defeat a challenger for my title. Now, this may not be for the title per say, but I know that I need to train like it. I am preparing for this match, as if my title is on the line. Because in order to be the best, you must train like the best. I want to go down in history as the greatest champion in SCW history. Male or Female. I may not get to three reigns like Misty, I may not even break Misty's record of 112 days as champion. But, I will do my best to get there. I mean, 70 days is nothing to sneeze at. But, the work is far from over.

But, on the plus side, I'm going to Aruba!

Soaking up sun is more than what I need right now. After the events that has surrounded me over the past month, I need a vacation. And SCW is such a great company that they will totally pay for me to sunbathe!

But, it will be at night, when I take on Gothika. For obvious reasons. Am I saying she's a vampire? She might be. Or she may be crazy. But I'm not one to judge, I run around on rooftops in skin-tight spandex and fight guys three times my size with magical powers. I am in no shape to comment on this one. But that matters not. In the end, she is my opponent, and I need to focus on defeating her. And I always believe I can defeat anyone and everyone. Living or dead. I mean, I have been training most of my adult like to kill zombies when, not if, but when that time comes. But that's another story, for another time.

Things have been moving a lot faster lately, and well, I think it's time to slow it down, just a touch, before hitting the ground running again. And really, there's no place like Aruba is let off some steam.

I am determined to enjoy myself. Even if there is still a massive bulls eye on my back. Roxanne made her presence known, I don't think I'll ever stop getting a challenge from people like Amy Marshall and Laura Jackson, and yes, Misty and Odette may be tag champions now, but I still have them in my sights as potential challengers. As I said before, I'm not going anywhere. I'm not ducking anybody. If you want to take this title from me, then by all means, just step up, and let me know where and when, I'll be there, and I will defend this bombshell's title with everything I have.

Gothika, I know you'd love to suck my blood, or whatever, maybe go all creepy faux-seduction and stuff, but It's not in the cards on Sunday. Sunday is where you come into the ring in Aruba, after you avoid burning to death in the sun, or sparkling, or whatever it is Vampires do nowadays, I'm not sure on the mythology anymore, and then I send you back to your cave and hang out.

Get it? hang out? Bats...Vampires, that sort of thing....

Okay...I'm sorry, that was awful.

It's been a rough couple of weeks. I think I need Aruba more than ever now.

Point is, Gothika, I'll see you, and defeat you, in the ring.

[ Roxi is patrolling the rooftops high over head, waiting for something to happen. ]

Geez...I really wish something would happen.

[ I told you. ]

Get on with it.

[ Ahem. Right. Finally, a man can be heard screaming. ]

Man - HELP ME!

Yeah, that'll work.

[ Roxi swings off in the direction of the screams. Finally, she locates the man as he runs for his life. She drops down in front of him. ]

Man - Oh, oh thank you. You have to help me.

Roxi - Okay, what...seems to be the problem?

Man - There's some guys after me.

Roxi - Who?

Man - Drug dealers. I think they think I have their money. I don't. I only was a courier. I swear.

Roxi - Couriers can go bad things now and again.

Man - I'm just an honest guy. I didn't do anything wrong. You gotta get me outta here.

[ Roxi continues to look around, not really seeing anyone. ]

Roxi - Okay, where are they?

Man - I... I don't know...maybe I lost them.

Roxi - Okay, look, I'm going to get you to safety, I'll drop you at the police station so you can make a report.

Man - No!

Roxi - No?

Man - I mean...they know what I look like, they'll kill me for sure then, if they know I talked to the cops.

Roxi - They can put you in Witness protection if that's the case.

Man - No, please, just...get me home...I swear, I'll be good from now on.

Roxi - *sigh* Fine.

Man - Ah, thank you so much.

Roxi - Yeah, whatever. Hang on. And if you touch anything your not supposed to, I'll break your arm.

Man - Yes, ma'am.

[ The guy grabs on and they swing off ]

[ Later, Roxi returns home and find Sydney is bad mood. ]

Roxi - Hey. You doing okay?

Sydney - I'm fine.

Roxi - That good, huh?

Sydney - Just drop it.

Roxi - Okay, I will.

Sydney - So...how was it out there?

Roxi - Slow. Boring for a change.

Sydney - I don't know if I'm ready yet, Rox. Honestly, I'm finding this recoup time to be very productive.

Roxi - Well, that's one good thing.

Sydney - Yeah, I got into this thing, and I think you should check it out.

Roxi - What is it?

Sydney - Chat Routtle.

Roxi - What is it?

Sydney - It's this online video chat where they can pair you up with another person. And you chat. sometimes, you might even meet a celebrity.

Roxi - Really?

Sydney - Yeah, go look.

Roxi - Okay, I will.

[ Roxi goes to change. About ten minutes pass...Roxi comes storming out of the bedroom with a scowl on her face. ]

Sydney - Are you okay?

Roxi - That was wrong.

Sydney - What's the problem?

Roxi - Why didn't you tell me the 90% of chat roulette was penises?

Sydney - I thought it would help.

Roxi - You are an awful person and you know it.

Sydney - Come on, Rox, you need to get some anyway.

Roxi - That's not your business, Sydney.

Sydney - It's the truth.

Roxi - So, you're suggesting what? that I chat with an exposed penis and get to know it better?

Sydney - Maybe.

Roxi - I hate you so much right now.

Sydney - Look, just give it another shot.

Roxi - No, I think 10 minutes was enough.

Sydney - Then try some online speed dating or something.

Roxi - Are you so lazy that you're trying to set me up with a date using the internet in place of someone you actually know?

Sydney - Maybe.

[ Roxi finally gets on a video web dating service. As luck would have it, she ends up chatting with...the guy from earlier that she took to his house? ]

Roxi - What...?

Man - Uh, hello to you too.

Oh crap. Can't let this guy find out who I am.

Roxi - Uh...sorry. You just look really familiar to me.

Man - Really?

Roxi - Yeah, probably just a coincidence. though.

Man - Yeah. I get that a lot.

Roxi - You do?

Man - Well, kinda. People mistake me for other people a lot.

Roxi - Oh.

Man - Wait...wait.., you're Roxi Johnson.

Roxi - Yeah, how are you?

Man - I'm great. Wait, do you live around here?

Roxi - Trade secret.

Man - You are really funny. ..Hey, I'm Ted by the way. Ted Sullivan. Most people just call me Teddy though.

Roxi - I see.

Ted - So, uh...this your first time.

Roxi - Yeah, my friend wanted me to try it, so...Here I am.

Ted - Well, friends do this kind of stuff to people, sometimes I wonder if I ever need enemies.

Roxi - Yeah, tell me about it.

Ted - So...what do you like to do...you know, when your not wrestling?

Roxi - Oh, lots of stuff. I like to read, I like to skydive, and base jump, and spelunk...

Ted - WHAT?

Roxi - Just a joke.

Ted - Oh...

Roxi - So..what do you like to do?

[ Fade on Roxi beginning to enjoy the chat. ]

[ Roxi walks back outside with a bit of a smile on her face. ]

Sydney -  So, how did it go?

Roxi - I think we just went on a date.

Sydney - Yeah, that happens some times.

Roxi - We talked forever. He seemed like a legit nice guy.

Sydney - See, I told you. Feel free to thank me later.

Roxi - I guess I should.

Sydney - What's he like?

Roxi - He's smart, and funny, and kind, and warm hearted, and he's got a great family.

Sydney - Well, I suppose that's a step up from murders, psychopaths, cannibals, and monsters.

Roxi - Yes. Yes it is. Weird thing though, I'm almost positive I saved this guy's life tonight.

Sydney - Really?

Roxi - Yeah, I could have sworn it was the same guy. It was odd, it's like he was being chased, but no one was around, no gunshots were fired, nothing...

Sydney - Maybe he escaped from somewhere.

Roxi - You think? But it's like he was two different people.

Sydney - Wait, he doesn't know who you are right?

Roxi - No.

Sydney - Maybe he really was scared then.

Roxi - I guess...it just seems so...odd.

They always say that all is fair in love and war.  I never really thought about love in my life after a while there. Never thought I really needed it, but that, tonight.... Was something different. A man who isn't a gargoyle wanted to listen to what I had to say. Crazy, I know. Maybe there is room for both in my life.

But at this point, the never ending war, comes first.
