Let me introduce myself to y’all. My name is Cynthia Ashton Marlowe and I am the newest Bombshell in Sin City. But you can call me Cyn...
I remember my first debut. Mama was so excited as she dragged me from shop to shop for that one special dress for the cotillion I was debuting at. Now here I was dragging myself from shop to shop...who am I kiddin’ ...shoppin’ isn’t a drag at all. Walking with me is a young man who is taking notes as I take the soft satin of a dress in my fingers
Cyn Marlowe: So tell me again what Mama said.
Young Man: She said that she wanted you to be prepared for your debut in Sin City Wrestling.
Awww Mama, she’s the one that must understands me the most. I mean, I have always been a daddy’s girl but Mama is the one that I can count on to get me ready to face the world.
Young Man: Mrs Marlowe has given me my orders for your debut in this wrestling federation. I am supposed to help you purchase ring gear, boots and...Miss?
He had finally realized I was no longer standing beside him and began to panic. Letting him hang in the wind for a moment, I giggle as I lean out of the change room I had made my way into for trying on the satin dress.
Cyn Marlowe: I know I know. So since Mama thinks you need to help me prepare, who is it that I am facing in my first match?
I peeked out of the gap in the curtain to see him push at a screen of a pda.
Young Man: According to the website you are facing someone named Laura Jackson.
Cyn Marlowe: And she is who?
Young Man: She is a former tag champion and current a team member of Team Erik. Speaking of, have you been approached by Mr. Staggs?
Looking at myself in the mirror, I wave a hand at the comment.
Cyn Marlowe: What? No, I haven’t been approached. Besides, I have to focus on not fallin’ asleep in this match at Climax Control. This match is going to be a no brainer from what I have learned about her in the information package on the website. Honestly when I heard that I was facing Miss Tattoo I just couldn’t believe it. My very first match in this company and them give me a gimme win. Can you believe it?
I watched the young man shake his head negatively. I move towards the curtain of the change room after looking at the dress that is covering my body...a little too much for my taste.
Young Man: But Miss, your mother...
Cyn Marlowe: Mama isn’t here and she trusts me to know what I am doin’
Young Man: That may be so but that still doesn’t mean you should be overconfident. This woman was a tag title holder.
Cyn Marlowe: And I was named the Junior Princess at my debut class for the cotillion. Let me just say this...
I pause for a moment to turn with a smile at the young man tossing my head, my long red curls teasing my shoulders
Cyn Marlowe: I have no doubt in my mind that my debut match in Sin city Wrestlin’ is goin’ to be my very first win.
Being the woman I am, I can’t deny my large capacity of being self confident enough to make the bold statement that I had just said. And with that confidence, I move to the change room again, tuning out the young man as the scene fades out.
