Jessie and Becky “Ragdoll” Jones have done it; they have won the SCW Bombshell Tag Team Titles from Bei Combatenti and the duo, now known as Venom and Vice, had their first defense on the last show of 2012, no problem right? Well there was a problem, their challengers where the thrown together team of the fearsome Necra Octavian Kaine and the new girl on the block Amy Marshall. Can Venom and Vice win their first defense?
Crown and Anchor, Las Vegas, Nevada
November 19th, 2012, 7:00pm
“I never thought I’d see the day where you were actively encouraging me to drink Katie.” I commented with a laugh as I took a sip of my beer, me, my siblings, Casey and Odette where celebrating the fact that Venom and Vice, AKA me and Ragdoll, won the titles the night before at High Stakes II, Katie gave me a light hearted glare before shaking her head.
“Normally I would but I figured that you deserved the chance to celebrate as much as you want.” Katie responded and I grinned at that. “But I will put my foot down if you return to the hotel room with several guys again.”
“You’re no fun.” I pouted and Jake laughed at that before patting me on the back.
“Relax Jess; she never said anything about bringing home a mixed party.” Jake responded with a grin earning a mock glare from Katie, I grinned at that as my much bigger brother took a sip of his drink. “Seriously, as much as it may irk Katie, you may as well celebrate as much as you can.”
“Damn right!” I agreed with a grin and Odette grinned at that.
“It’s like Jake said, you earned this so celebrate as much as you like.” Odette added and I nodded in agreement. “Pity Ragdoll couldn’t make it.”
“Yeah well, I wanted to talk to her about our plans for the team once we get past out first defense when we got some time alone but I couldn’t get ahold of her.” I responded with a shrug as I took a sip of my drink. “And then there’s the fact that we don’t know when the match will take place.”
“Just remember though, it’s coming to the end of the year so it’s likely that Mark will put you in a title match.” Odette pointed out and I frowned.
“Just to screw with me and Ragdoll right?” I asked and Odette nodded. “I don’t care if we face Misty and Roxanne I’m ready for anyone.”
“I’m pretty sure if that happened Katie would have a Heart Attack.” Jake pointed out and I grinned. “Speaking of matches, has next week’s card been released yet?” Jake asked and I checked my e-mail via my phone.
“Just been announced, Casey’s facing Tom Dudely from Mark Ward’s stable of stooges, Odette’s teaming with Vixen to face the Tattooed Goddesses and I’m…..” I trailed off when I saw the Main Event, needless to say my eyes widened. “Oh shit!”
“What’s the problem?” Jake asked as he looked at my phone. “Venom and Vice vs. Amy Marshall and Necra Octavian Kaine……..ah…….” Jake winced once it hit him. “First title defense and Necra’s one of your opponents, why wouldn’t I be surprised if Mark had something to do with this.”
“Yeah, I wouldn’t be surprised about that.” I responded with a frown. “This is going to be tough.”
“Let’s not worry about that.” Casey said as he raised his glass. “If you and Ragdoll manage to get a pin fall on Necra then you two will be the Bombshell Tag Team to beat for reasons other than the Bombshell Tag Titles for now let’s have a toast to NXT!” Casey added and we raised our glasses in unison to that.
*the next day*
The rest of the night went uneventfully, I ended up having a one night stand with a chick I met at the bar who was able to leave before either of my siblings woke up and right now I’m alone in the hotel room we share, well besides the SCW Cameramen off course, as I’m trying to think of my opening line for the promo, eventually I sighed before turning to the cameramen.
“I’ve only been wrestling since I turned 18, almost five years ago, if you had told me five years ago that I would be the co-holder of the Women’s Tag Titles in one of the biggest independent wrestling promotions in the country I would’ve laughed in your face.” I said before picking up my half of the SCW Bombshell Tag Titles. “And yet here I am, holding my first ever wrestling championship five years later, Bei Combatenti proved last Sunday Night just how unworthy of these titles they are…….which is why I’m not looking forward to Venom and Vice’s first defense.”
Oh right, I almost forgot.
“For those that are wondering Venom and Vice is the name of me and Ragdoll’s team, it was her idea and I went with it because it sounded cool.” I said with a shrug. “Back to this week’s match, Venom and Vice are defending the SCW Bombshell Tag Team Titles against Amy Marshall and Necra Octavian Kaine, Amy I don’t have a problem with……Necra on the other hand is a Bombshell who I’ve been dreading facing ever since she debuted in that Bombshell Battle Royal.”
Naturally I’m starting with Necra.
“Necra…..god, I don’t know where to even start here, and no, that wasn’t a pun on your nickname, you’ve been a dominating force ever since you debuted in SCW something that the Tattooed Goddesses and Misty can attest to, how am I supposed to compete with someone like you!?” I asked before grinning. “I don’t know but you know what? I’m not going to let my uncertainty about how I’m supposed to compete with someone like you stop me and neither will Becky.”
Will it be enough? I don’t know.
“I don’t know if that will be enough but it won’t stop me from trying to win this match! Sure, it’s going to be a tough test for me and Becky but I don’t care, all I care about is proving to the world the Venom and Vice aren’t a fluke team, we won the titles because our opponents thought that we’d be easy pickings and well…..”
I trailed off before hoisting my title over my shoulder.
“You can see how well that is going for them, we will win this match and hold the titles for as long as possible, Necra, as tough as you are, you can’t stop us so don’t even try because we are Born To Bleed, Fighting to…….wait, doesn’t Necra have a tag team partner in this match? Oh shit she does! Next up is Amy Marshall!”
The fact that I almost forgot about her should tell you all you need to know about my feelings about Amy Marshall.
“I spent so much time talking about Necra that I almost forgot that she has a tag team partner in this match, and my god I thought our team was thrown together at first! Amy “The Punk Princess” Marshall, a person who just debuted at High Stakes II, is not only in the Main Event but she is competing in the main event, I’d say she “persuaded” Christian and Mark to do this but considering Christian’s about a thousand miles away from the closet he came out of that rules him out.”
That doesn’t rule out Mark though.
“Amy, you may be wondering the following: “Who does that metalhead bitch think she is throwing accusations like that at me?” well for starters I’m well aware off the fact that you used to be a porn star, I even knew that before your profile got posted on SCW.com, how? Because I’ve seen plenty of your pornos…….I never thought I’d say that about an opponent……”
I trailed off once I realized what I had just said.
“So yeah, I’m very familiar with your pre-wrestling career and to be honest, I’ve seen a lot better than you fuck men and women alike on camera! And yes, before anyone asks I do watch porn, a lot of it actually, mostly when I’m alone in my hotel room, but back on topic, Amy, you did nothing to earn your spot in this match if the accusation I made against you a few moments ago is true or not and that will come back to bite you in the ass in this match.”
I shook my head.
“Necra is the one I dread facing the most in the match, Amy is someone that I could care less about but that doesn’t make her any less dangerous than Necra, not by a long shot, but that doesn’t matter, what does matter is that unlike the previous champions we’re not going to let some thrown together tag team end our reign as Champions especially not on the first defense of the titles.”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
“Ragdoll may not be an official member of NXT but that doesn’t matter, this week on Climax Control we will do NXT proud by winning our first defense against Necra Octavian Kaine and Amy Marshall, why do I say that? Because Venom and Vice don’t play nice and we were born to bleed and we will fight to succeed in every match we’re in.”
I turned to my laptop as the scene fades.
