“Repeating History!”

While Harper hasn’t seen much in ring action since she won the Triple Threat Tables Match against Kat Jones and Seleana Zdunich she has made one thing very clear: she wanted another shot at the Bombshell Roulette Title after Cassie cost her the match for the vacated title at Into the Void! While this messed with the bosses’ plans somewhat as Evelynn had her pencilled in as one of Victoria Lyons’ challengers for the World Bombshell Title at Summer XXXTreme the bosses agreed to add her to the annual Ultimate X Over the Pool Match at the Summer Spectacular.

Her opponents? Brittany Williams, Frankie Holiday, Bella Madison and the newly added Seleana Zdunich! Can Harper win the Bombshell Roulette Title for two years in a row at Summer XXXTreme?

You know, despite being in my third year as a Bombshell (well, just under three years really) I can definitely say that the past two cycles have been some of the wildest I’ve seen since signing with SCW.

And look, I’ve ranted enough about how dogshit the Abruisement Park Tour was for me, capped off by Cassie costing me the vacated Bombshell Roulette Title, but despite only being booked once for the whole cycle this time around? The fact that I won that match and managed to get a measure of revenge against Cassie along the way had me feeling good about myself.

So good in fact that I put my name out there for a shot at Brittany Williams and her Bombshell Roulette Title.

And look, I had no idea heading into the week where I made that announcement that Evelynn wanted me in the World Bombshell Title Picture, hell I didn’t learn about that fact until Christian told me on twitter, but I don’t regret because the fact that I was so close to being a two time Bombshell Roulette Champion only for Cassie to take it away from me has been eating away at me since me, Jessie and Josh got back from Japan so I stuck to my guns.

Would I have been flattered if I had known about that plan before hand? Absolutely, but sometimes you have to go with your gut feeling.

”Ruined Cassie’s plans? Partial check because I was in the bathroom when she interfered with Kat’s match, got some payback on Lexie and Riley? Check.” I muttered to myself before glancing at Jessie, in case you’re wondering where Josh was tonight? He had given himself the night off to get everything ready for the cruise, which presumably involves messing with Cassie since he’s still technically her manager. ”And you got payback on Krystal as well.”

”All I’m going to say about Krystal is that I knew she was bitter from how her SCW run ended all those years ago but I didn’t think she was that bitter.” Jessie admitted with a shrug and I nodded in understanding. ”I don’t even know if she’s wrestled since her run ended.”

”If she has then I haven’t heard anything.” I responded as I shook my head before we heard footsteps approaching and glanced up. ”Evelynn?”

“Harper, Jessie, thank you again for dealing with Cassie and her plans.” Evelynn addressed us both and Jessie stepped up to her, Jessie was 5ft 2, Evelynn was 6ft 3, yeah, I don’t need to say anything else about the height difference, do I? “But we need to talk about you and Cassie.”

”Had a feeling you’d say that.” I admitted as I folded my arms and Jessie nodded in agreement. ”What’s this about?”

“It’s about the Summer XXXTreme Cruise.” Evelynn added and I gave her a curious look. “I know things are heated between you and your former partner Harper, but if you want to avoid getting cut from the Bombshell Roulette Title Match and kicked off the cruise? You will stay away from Cassie and her entourage from the moment we board the ship to the moment the opening bell rings.”

”You’re kidding?” I asked with a disbelieving look on my face and Jessie had the same look on hers as Evelynn shook her head. ”I trust that Cassie got the same message?”

“She will, I just wanted to tell you first.” Evelynn explained and we both nodded. “I understand that you were banning Cassie and her entourage from your karaoke event Jessie and I understand why but this is me making it formal.”

”Okay, look, I know cruise ships are big and all but the wrestlers still have to sleep on the ship.” I pointed out as Evelynn turned to me. ”How do you plan on addressing that?”

“That is a fair question, and I understand that Josh wasn’t here tonight because he was getting things finalized for you and Cassie?” Evelynn asked and I nodded to confirm that that was the case. “Good because I talked with him on the phone about it, he was already planning to give you one of the best suites on the ship that wasn’t already reserved for one of the champions and putting Cassie as close as possible to the engine room.”

Me and Jessie blinked as we processed that last bit of information and then we burst out laughing. ”Oh my fucking god, that is priceless!” I said in between fits of laughter and Jessie nodded mid-laugh. ”Only tthing missing is a hidden camera for when she sees her room.”

“Sadly privacy concerns makes that impossible.” Evelynn explained and we nodded as we got the idea. “And there is one other thing I needed to tell you, I’ve added a fifth Bombshell to the Bombshell Roulette Title Match, Seleana Zdunich.”

”Great, only thing missing is Bea and it’ll be Into the Void all over again.” I commented as I shook my head. ”Also, was what Christian said on twitter true? About me almost being in the World Bombshell Title Match?”

“I was going to use the fact that you ended Victoria’s reign at last year’s cruise as the reason but Christian convinced me otherwise.” Evelynn nodded in response and I let out a deep breath. “I understand why you wanted another shot at Brittany after Into the Void but next time? don’t be so hasty.”

”Got it, now if you excuse us? We gotta get back to the hotel.” I responded before checking my phone. ”It is getting late.”

“Indeed, and I need to tell Cassie anyway, see you on the cruise.” Evelynn responded before she walked off and we headed off towards the parking lot.

Not the first time someone related to my parents messed with the bosses plans, probably not the last.

Last year I did whet pretty much every one else couldn’t: I ended Victoria’s yearlong Bombshell Roulette Title Reign, now? I’m set to ensure that Brittany never even gets past her third month.

Only issue? It’s me, Brittany and three other women vying for the title.

Bella and Seleana are two women I’ve faced before, hell Seleana was in the match for the vacant title at Into the Void and Brittany basically owed her title reign to me being screwed over by Cassie, but Frankie? Well for one thing I’m surprised that she’s gone from World Bombshell Title Contender to one of the competitors for the Bombshell Roulette Title but match wise? I know she’s a dangerous competitor and I shudder to think of what she’d do in the Roulette Division as champion but I’m ready to take her on.

Besides, it’s not the first time I’ve defied the odds on that cruise ship.

“Everything is set for you and the cruise.” Josh informed me as I stretched to warm up for my impending training session. “Cassie though? Krystal is trying to use her position as Cassie’s manager to get her room changed.”

”Why am I not surprised?” I asked as I shook my head and turned to Josh. ”What’s the latest?”

“Krystal has deep pockets, deeper than I expected.” Josh explained and I nodded as I got the idea. “But since both me and her are Cassie’s managers? There’s a bit of a power struggle going on.”

”If there’s one thing you can say about Krystal it’s that she’s a proud woman and won’t take no for an answer.” I responded as I shook my head and Josh nodded in agreement. ”And I trust you’ve heard about the no contact rule?”

“Jessie told me about it on Sunday, personally? I support it because it gives you a chance to focus on the Ultimate X Match.” Josh nodded before he leaned against a ring post. “But I know Cassie’s going to try to find a loophole, or at least she’s going to try.”

”Let her try, if it means she’s distracted heading into the match with Kat and Alexandra.” I responded with a scoff and Josh nodded in agreement. ”Me? I accepted it as Evelynn’s way of preventing the cruise ship from becoming a battleground between me and Cassie and honesty? I can use the break from all that madness anyway!”

“Good because with this many opponents? You’ll need to be focussed.” Josh nodded before motioning to the ring. “For now? You’ve got training to do.”

”I was waiting for you to say that.” I responded with a grin before I rolled into the ring to start my training.

If I can one up Cassie by walking off that ship as champion while she leaves empty handed? All the better.

*promo time*

Here we go.

”Right, I would go on a bit of a monologue here but I’m one of four challengers for Brittany Williams’ Bombshell Roulette Title and all three of my fellow challengers are former champions in their own right!” I stated as I leaned on the top rope with my arms crossed. ”So Brittany, Bella, Frankie, Seleana? Let’s get ready to rumble for the Bombshell Roulette Championship, shell we?

And really. When you look at this match’s lineup? It’s like a who’s who of the title scene, isn’t it?”
I asked as I brushed some hair over my shoulder. ”Setting aside my feelings on WHY she’s the reigning champion heading into the Ultimate X Match? Brittany is the current champion at the end of the day, Bella is a former Bombshell Internet Champion, Frankie and Seleana are both former World Bombshell Champions and Seleana held the Bombshell Roulette Championship to boot, but me? I’ve done something that most of the women in this match tried and failed to do.”

Go on, take a guess.

”Need me to spell it out? This time last year I was the one who ended Victoria Lyons’ Bombshell Roulette Title Reign at Summer XXXTreme, in other words? I’m entering this match with some major bragging rights.” I added as pushed back against the ropes and moved to the centre of the ring. ”Now, I will be the first to admit that my reign wasn’t as long as I wanted but that just motivated me to do it all over again in this match!”

Starting with the champ.

”Tell me Brittany, have you thanked Cassie for gift wrapping you your title reign yet? Because at the end of the day, you owe your title reign to her!” I stated as I shook my head. ”In case you’ve forgotten? Let me take you back to that fateful night at Universal Studios: Osaka, Japan, I had Seleana pinned, the title was in my grasp, and then like a short, petite deus ex machina?

Cassie broke up the pin and you took advantage!”
I added as I smirked to myself. ”Now I’m not going to stand here and pretend that your loss to Alexandra was clean because we all saw Cassie trying to interfere before I yeeted her out of the ring but it’s not looking good for your reign when you lose your first math as champion, is it? Time will tell if that was a sign of things to come but I’m finishing what I started at Into the Void!”

And speaking of Seleana.

”And how could I forget the last minute addition to the match, Seleana, I just brought up the fact that you took the pin in the match at Into the Void but what have you been up to since then?” I asked rhetorically before grinning. ”I beat you in that Triple Threat Tables Match with Kat Jones, lost a non-title match against Victoria and that’s it, meanwhile that Tables Match was my only Climax Control Match all cycle.

In ither words? I’m well rested, as opposed to everyone else in this march.”
I added before grinning. ”And trust me Sel, your last minute addition to the match doesn’t mean you’re walking out with the gold!”

And now only the other blonde in this match.

”Been a long time since we faced off, hasn’t it Bella? I know that we’ve put on great matches in the past but as far as multi-woman matches like this goes? Either I’m misremembering or this is the first time we’ve faced off in this environment but either way? I welcome the chance to face off against you Bella.” I added before smirking. ”You’ve been a stalwart of the Roulette Division for how long Bella? And now you return as the “Queen for Hardcore”?

I don’t know who gave you that title but I’m ready to take it off you!”
I stated as I flipped some hair over my shoulders. ”I respect you a lot Bella, we’re both young women who are carrying on another wrestler’s legacy, Laura Phoenix for you and Jessie Salco for me, but trust me, that title’s coming home with me!”

And last but not least……….

”Yeah, I guess it’s time I addressed the elephant in the room, isn’t it? Frankie, who did you piss off to go from “World Title Contender” a few months ago to competing for the Bombshell Roulette Title in the opening match of Summer XXXTReme?” I asked with a confused look on my face. ”Guess that’s going to be one of the biggest mysteries heading into this match isn’t it?

Well what’s not a mystery is what you’ve accomplished in your short time in SCW, Blast from the Past Winner, former World Bombshell Champion, Queen for a Day, all in the space of a year.”
I stated as I shook my head. ”So. what? After your failure to win the World Bombshell Title from Victoria your trying to add to your legacy by winning the Bombshell Roulette Title? Not on my watch!”

It’s that simple.

”Any way you look at it, this is going to be a tough match for any of us to win, especially when you factor in the fact that wrestlers are eliminated the moment they enter the pool.” I added as I shook my head. ”And with the Ultimate X being over it and the Roulette Title dangling above? Anything can happen but as far as I’m concerned? That title should’ve been mine already!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”And come Summer XXXTreme? I’m finishing what I started at Into the Void!” I added with a grin as I threw up the metal horns. ”And if that means repeating history? So be it because the world needs a new hero and champion and her name is “The Slaytanic Avenger” Harper Mason!”

Josh turned off the camera as the scene fades.

Seleana Zdunich was clinging to a cable stretched over the pool usually used to treat sick or injured marine animals, glancing down at the water like this was a horrible plan. This was practice for a type of match she'd been in and lost before.

The Ultimate X over the pool on the cruise ship at Summer XXXTreme for the SCW Roulette Championship was an annual tradition for SCW. There were always two, one for the male competitors and one for the bombshells.

Seleana had done this more than once, and ended up in the drink every time and knowing Brittany Williams, Bella Madison, Frankie Holliday, and Harper Mason, no one expected her to be able to change that trend this year even with the supposed nice accommodations because of her wife.

Said wife, Christina "Crystal Hilton" Zdunich was dusting off her Crystal apparel and hosting the show and, thus, was apparently entitled to one of the really nice rooms.

Or so Christina had said.

Seleana was, as usual, only worried about that for their kids, fifteen-year-old Aurora and twelve-year-old Elijah. She knew their oldest daughter, Brittany, would get her own suite due to being one of the defending champions on the show. Her twin, Brayden, would be competing for his own championship status on this show…

But right now, Seleana wasn't thinking about that. She was thinking about holding onto the cable.

Seleana Zdunich: Det finns ingen ko på isen, du har det här.

She resets her grip as a voice rings out from the side of the pool.

Voice: Y'all ok?

Seleana glances over to see Sam "Razorback" Matthews standing there with his fellow zoo workers/Chrome Dragons, Jari "Yoki" Jokiharju, Tommy "Crossbones" MacLeod and Vincnt "Sawbones" MacLeod looking up at her, all of them seemingly concerned at her predicament.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, just practice.

The four men frown at her in confusion.

Sam "Razorback" Matthews: Practice for what, Darlin'?

Seleana performs a pull-up of the cable.

Seleana Zdunich: Ultimate X next week on cruise ship.

She does several more pull-ups as the men stare at her.

Sam "Razorback" Matthews: Why is that practice?

Seleana grins at the question.

Seleana Zdunich: Because match over pool. If you hit water, you lose.

Razorback nods while Yoki, Crossbones and Sawbones all just continue staring up at her.

Sam "Razorback" Matthews: We're going to San Diego for the weekend. Looking at a piglet might be good for us, and I heard Max was in town.

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Have fun, do not let the Bones Brothers get up to too much mischief, ja?

Crossbones grins.

Tommy "Crossbones" MacLeod: Who, us?

Sawbones shrugs.

Vincent "Sawbones" MacLeod: We'll be good, promise.

Seleana snickers as she hangs there.

Seleana Zdunich: You know I can see you cross fingers, ja?

The men laugh.

Sam "Razorback" Matthews: The boys will be good, Mom.

Seleana Zdunich: Better or I tell HayJo and Vanya we have problems

Jari “Yoki” Jokiharju: Vanya's making Riptide go with us.

Seleana exhales and performs another pull-up.

Seleana Zdunich: Keep noses clean.

 Jari “Yoki” Jokiharju: Ja.

Sam "Razorback" Matthews: Promise!

Seleana Zdunich: Okej.

The men walk off as he remains hanging there.

Seleana Zdunich: Det finns ingen ko på isen, du har det här.

~*~Told You So~*~
Backstage
Climax Control

The backstage hallway outside the Bombshell locker room had finally begun to settle down after the opening match. Production assistants hurried from one position to another, camera operators rolled equipment toward the entrance curtain, and ring crew members prepared for the next contest as the noise of the arena filtered through the concrete walls.

Bella Madison stepped through the curtain with a towel draped around her shoulders, still breathing a little heavier than normal after her victory over Mercedes Vargas. A few strands of blonde hair had escaped her braid, and there was already the beginning of a bruise forming across one shoulder.

She barely made it halfway down the hallway before she heard a familiar voice, "Well... I was right."

Bella looked over to find Victoria Lyons leaning against one of the equipment cases with her headset hanging around her neck after commentary, Bella grinned, "Which part?"

Victoria pushed herself upright, "The part where I said if Mercedes spent more time looking at me than looking at you, she'd regret it."

Bella laughed, "To be fair..." She adjusted the towel on her shoulders, "...she looked at you exactly long enough for me to plant her on her ass."

Victoria couldn't help laughing, "I noticed."

"And I appreciated it." Bella shook her head, "I ought to send you flowers."

Victoria folded her arms with a teasing smile, "Just flowers?"

"I mean..." Bella pretended to think, "...depends how expensive your taste is."

"My taste?" Victoria raised an eyebrow, "Honey, I'm a World Champion."

Bella immediately pointed at her, "See? That's exactly why I'm not buying you anything."

The two women laughed together. There wasn't any tension between them. They were both headed toward Summer XXXTreme, but on different roads, each chasing a championship in her own right. Tonight wasn't about any of that. It was simply two professionals acknowledging a job well done.

Victoria extended a hand, "You looked great out there."

Bella smiled before taking it, "So did you."

Victoria tilted her head, "Pfft, I was just sitting down."

"Hey, you still had to deal with Mercedes’ loud mouth."

"...Fair."

They both laughed again, the handshake lingering for another second before they let go.

"MOMMY!"

The shout echoed through the hallway, and Bella's entire demeanor changed, her shoulders relaxed and that competitive edge disappeared from her eyes. A smile spread across her face that only those closest to her ever got to see. She turned just in time to see a tiny blonde tornado sprinting toward her on surprisingly determined little legs.

"MOMMY!"

Bella crouched instinctively, "There she is!"

Máire launched herself forward and Bella caught her effortlessly, laughing as the little girl wrapped both arms around her neck.

"Oh, goodness." Bella stood back up with a theatrical grunt, "I swear you get bigger every single week."

"No!" Máire giggled, "I little!"

"You are little." Bella kissed the top of her head, "My very little girl."

Máire leaned back just enough to inspect the faint bruise on Bella's shoulder, "You owie?"

Bella looked down, "Oh..." and with a little shrug she answered, "Little owie."

Máire frowned, "Kiss?"

Bella smiled warmly, "You think that'll fix it?"

Máire gave an enthusiastic nod which in turn Bella turned her shoulder toward her, "Go ahead."

Máire planted an exaggerated kiss on the bruise before patting it twice with her tiny hand, "There."

Bella gasped dramatically, "It worked."

"I know."

Victoria couldn't help smiling at the entire exchange, Bella noticed and shifted Máire onto one hip.

"Oh!" She gestured toward Victoria, "I forgot that you two haven’t really met yet...Máire, this is Victoria, she is the current SCW Bombshell World Champion."

The little girl studied her for a few seconds with the intense seriousness only toddlers could manage, then she smiled, "Hi, Toria."

Victoria blinked, "...Toria?"

Bella immediately covered her mouth, trying, and failing, not to laugh, "I'm so sorry."

Victoria started laughing too, "No, no... I like it."

She crouched down slightly to be closer to Máire's eye level, "Hi, sweetheart."

Máire waved enthusiastically, "Toria."

Victoria pointed at herself, "That's me now, huh?"

Máire nodded "Toria."

Bella shook her head, "I don't think you've got any say in it."

Victoria chuckled, "I've had worse nicknames."

Máire reached out with one tiny finger toward the championship belt draped over Victoria's shoulder, "Oooo..."

Victoria glanced down, "You like that?"

"Shiny."

"It is pretty shiny."

Bella smiled knowingly, "She's fascinated with championship belts. You should see her at home, she’s constantly removing the titles from the shelves."

Máire nodded enthusiastically, "Pretty."

Victoria carefully slid the championship from her shoulder and lowered it enough for the little girl to admire, "You can touch it."

Tiny fingers immediately reached out, brushing across the gold plate with complete wonder, "Wooooow..."

Bella watched quietly, smiling to herself.

Victoria glanced back at Bella, "You know..." Victoria smiled, "I think she's got good taste. And who knows... you might have a third-generation wrestler on your hands."

"Well, the taste part? I've been telling her that for almost three years." Bella looked down at Máire with a smile, "The wrestling part... that's entirely up to her. If she wants this someday, I'll support her. If she doesn't, I'll cheer just as loud."

Victoria rested the title back over her shoulder while Máire continued staring at it with wide eyes, "You looked really good out there tonight," Victoria said, "Mercedes isn't someone you just walk through as you very well know."

Bella nodded appreciatively, "Coming from you, I'll take that."

"And now Summer XXXTreme is not that far off for the both of us."

"Yeah... me hanging over that pool again with those women. Dangling like a worm on a hook," Bella laughed softly, "Nothing says 'good idea' quite like being suspended over water while everyone tries to throw you in. History hasn't exactly been kind to me in those matches. If I've got an Achilles' heel, it's probably that one."

"Well the way things have been going for you lately, I have this sneaking suspicion that this year may be different," Victoria smiled knowingly, "And of course, I'll be watching."

"I figured you might." Bella smiled back, "I'll be watching yours, too."

There wasn't a challenge in either woman's voice, just respect between the two. One carrying the company's biggest prize with the other with an opportunity to add another championship to a résumé that had already earned plenty of respect.

"Mama?"

Bella looked down, "What is it, bug?"

Máire pointed back at Victoria with a grin, "Toria."

Victoria burst out laughing, "I have a feeling that's going to stick."

Bella chuckled as she adjusted her daughter on her hip, "I wouldn't bet against it."

"See you at Summer XXXTreme."

Bella glanced back over her shoulder, "Count on it."

Bella disappeared around the corner with Máire happily chatting away about "Toria," her tiny voice echoing down the hallway long after the two were out of sight.

~*~Where Do You Go From Here~*~
Two Weeks After Graduation
Late May 2019

The ocean stretched endlessly before them, every shade of blue imaginable blending together beneath a cloudless afternoon sky. Palm trees swayed lazily in the breeze while waves rolled onto the white sand below the deck of the secluded villa.

For the first time in months, Bella Madison wasn't supposed to be thinking about exams, or internships, or job offers. Or the endless stream of phone calls from professors, advisors and relatives who all seemed convinced they knew exactly what came next.

Instead, she sat barefoot on the railing of the deck with a tropical drink she hadn't touched in nearly half an hour. Her pink hair danced in the breeze as she stared out toward the horizon.

Mal watched her over the rim of her sunglasses, "We have been on vacation for three days."

Bella hummed absentmindedly, "And?"

"You've spent all three staring at the ocean like it owes you money."

That earned the smallest smile, "It might."

Mal laughed, "There she is."

Bella's smile disappeared almost as quickly as it came, "I don't know what I'm doing."

Mal frowned, "I thought that's what this trip was for."

Bella shook her head, "No..."

She leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees, "I know what everyone else thinks I should do. My professors, my parents, people back in Paris and even some of them back in New York. They all have a plan and somehow every single one of those plans is different."

Mal tilted her head, "So ignore them."

Bella looked over, "If only it were that easy."

"Why isn't it?"

"Because every one of them says they're looking out for me and maybe they are. But after a while..." Bella sighed, "...you stop hearing concern. You just hear people telling you what your life is supposed to look like."

Silence settled between them.

Finally, Mal asked the question nobody else had, "What does Bella's plan look like?"

~*~Chosen Violence: Lay the Path~*~

The old red barn behind Bella Madison's home had long since stopped resembling the place it had once been. The original timber beams still stretched overhead, weathered by decades of New York winters, but everything beneath them had been transformed. A full-sized wrestling ring occupied the center of the building while thick crash mats covered large sections of the floor. Heavy bags hung from reinforced rafters alongside climbing ropes, gymnastic rings, balance beams and pull-up rigs.

Most noticeable of all, the steel cables. Stretched from beam to beam in the familiar X-pattern that every SCW fan knew all too well. An imitation of the Ultimate X structure.

It wasn't perfect but it didn't need to be.

It only needed to hurt and prepare her. She had been through it enough times, she knew what to expect but there had always been room for more.

Bella dropped from the cables onto one of the crash mats below, landing on both feet before rolling her shoulders. Sweat darkened the gray tank top she wore, and chalk dust clung to her hands after another afternoon spent climbing, balancing and forcing her body through the same motions over and over again.

She reached for the towel hanging from the ring post, wiping the sweat from her face before finally looking toward the camera.

"You know..." She glanced back up toward the cables, "...I've spent a lot of time staring at those things."

A small smile crossed her face.

"They're not the real ones but they're close enough for the purpose."

Bella tossed the towel back over the ropes.

"Everybody trains for wrestling matches the same. They work on cardio, they hit the weights, they drill all those holds that were drilled into our heads at the schools. But this..."

She pointed toward the ceiling.

"...this isn't your typical wrestling match. This is controlled chaos, a chaos where you aren't trying to pin somebody and you aren't trying to make them submit. You're trying to stay alive long enough to make somebody else hit the water."

She folded her arms.

"And that's why I've spent weeks in this barn since the match was announced because I refuse to let this match beat me before I ever step onto that cruise ship."

Bella nodded once.

"So let’s begin shall we, and we’ll start right at the top of it with Brittany Williams, the Bombshell Roulette Champion."

A respectful smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.

"You earned that championship, you didn't luck into that championship. You've fought through every challenge put in front of you, and now everyone is coming after what you have. That's pressure and you've handled it well."

Her expression hardened.

"But being the champion also paints the biggest target. In Ultimate X, everyone eventually looks at the title. They also look at the woman carrying it. If Brittany spends one second trying to protect the championship instead of protecting herself..."

Bella pointed toward the floor.

"...she'll be taking an early swim."

She shifted her weight.

"Frankie Holliday." Bella laughed quietly, "I don't think Frankie has ever had a conventional thought in her life. And honestly...I respect the hell out of that. She's unpredictable, fearless and the kind of person willing to jump first and figure out the landing later."

She nodded.

"In most matches, that's terrifying. In this one though....it might also be exactly what gets her eliminated because sometimes the difference between fearless and reckless is about six inches."

Bella looked back toward the cables overhead.

"Harper Mason. If this turns into a test of strength..."

Bella smirked.

"...I'm not volunteering. Harper's got an interesting thing amongst us, she’s deceivingly powerful. She's built to throw people around and if she gets both hands on you near the edge of that platform..."

She whistled softly.

"...good luck. But here's the problem. You can't overpower gravity. It’s an absolute heartless bitch and you can't muscle your way across those cables. You either have balance...or you don't."

Her eyes returned to the camera.

"Seleana Zdunich."

Bella's smile returned, this time carrying genuine admiration.

"I've shared enough locker rooms with Seleana to know exactly who she is. She's disciplined and patient and she's one of the smartest competitors in this company....when she doesn't rush. If she focuses enough she can wait so patiently that it can drive a person mad. She lets everyone else create the opening...then she takes advantage of it."

Bella nodded thoughtfully.

"That makes her dangerous because if you forget she's there for even a second...that's usually the second she reminds you."

She unfolded her arms.

"And then there's me."

Bella looked around the barn.

"The first time I competed in this match...I thought I understood it. I didn't. I thought it was about climbing and just holding on for dear life. It isn't. I thought it was about reaching the championship. It isn't."

She looked back up toward the cables suspended above her.

"It's about making sure four other women never get there before you do. I've fallen. I've watched somebody else celebrate while I climbed out of that pool wondering where it all went wrong. I don't have to imagine that feeling. I remember it."

She stepped forward until she stood just a few feet from the camera.

"So this year...I'm not walking into Ultimate X hoping history changes. I'm making damn sure it does."

Her voice stayed calm.

"Brittany. Frankie. Harper. Seleana. I have more than once told you how much I have respected every one of you. I know exactly what you're capable of and because I know exactly what you're capable of...I'm preparing to beat every single one of you."

Bella glanced over her shoulder one last time at the homemade Ultimate X rig hanging from the rafters.

"I built this. I've bled in this barn. I've fallen off those cables more times than I can count. So when I walk onto that ship...nothing about that match will surprise me."

She looked back into the camera, a quiet confidence settling across her face.

"You don't win Ultimate X by hoping someone else makes a mistake. You win it by making sure they do and you win it by forcing them to."

Bella gave one final nod.

"I'll see you over the pool."

We were working for the Twins. We made it official.

I was essentially their personal driver. Whenever the Twins ordered something, I drove. These were quick jobs, most of the time, they went off without a hitch. Drive here, collect money, leave. Easy work.

Levi was still very wary of working with the Twins, believing that well, we were going to get killed at the end of it. We would know too much, we would do something wrong. Again, it was so strange to see Levi like this. He was always so calm and cool. He’d killed people, but this, this was a fear. It lingered the entire time.

Maybe I was naive. I just didn’t see it. I saw it with Eddie, I saw it with Malachai, and I saw it with Raphael. I saw that in their eyes, when push came to shove, there was that side.

I didn’t really see it with the Twins. Mikah never actually pulled a gun out on me, never gave me the sense of power or fear he commanded. He looked like a normal guy, who did normal guy things. And Minkah… I never actually saw Minkah do much of anything. She was always just what looked like doom scrolling on her phone.

To me, they were… different. But didn’t give off that vibe of danger.

And then I witnessed it first hand.

There was a day that Levi and I weren’t working. Levi was still at the Docks, but this was his day off. We were driving around when my phone rang. It was Mikah.

“Yo, I need you to pick me and Minkah up. We have to make a visit.”

“Uh… okay.”

That was it. I started to head where the Twins were and Levi got that look in his eye again.

“I don’t like this.”

“We’re just driving them someplace. We don’t know anything and we have plausible deniability. We know nothing.” I said, trying to alleviate the dread Levi was feeling. He persisted.

“It could be a trap.”

“Yeah, it could be. But they don’t know you are here. Maybe that will deter them.” I answered.

Levi tensed and reached into the glove compartment. I always had a gun in there.

Just in case.

Levi took it out and checked to ensure it was loaded, and then put it in his pants. He seemed to ease up.

We drove to the house and Mikah and Minkah were there, waiting. They were dressed normally. In fact, almost too normally. Non-descript clothes and everything. Neither seemed to either notice or care that Levi was in the passenger seat. They just got in the back.

“North 20th street, in Montebello.” Mikah said and sat back.

I put it in my phone and it was about a half hour drive, but it was fine.

The drive was dead silent. Nobody said a word. Mikah and Minkah both were on their phones the whole time. It was like nothing was out of the ordinary.

We pulled onto the street and Mikah finally looked up and pointed.

“That house. Pull up.”

I did just that. I sat and waited. There was this moment of just dead silence and tension. Like, was this it? They had ample time to either shoot us, but they didn’t. I paused.

“How long do you need us to wait?” I finally said.

“Ya’ll come in too.” Mikah said, getting out.

Levi and I looked at each other and then… we got out and followed the twins.

They didn’t knock. They just entered the house like the people inside were expecting them. And they clearly weren’t.

We walked in and the man and woman went pale and stopped in their tracks. They had two kids sitting at the dinner table and the whole house, which was kind of lively, went dead. Nothing was being said.

“Hector!” Mikah said in an almost jovial tone. “Compadre!”

Mikah sniffed the air.

“You frying fish? I love fish!”

Minkah of course said nothing and just followed Mikah who sat at the table like he was a guest. Minkah sat next to him. Levi and I stood up, there weren’t enough seats for us anyway, but neither for Hector and his wife.

“Jefe, I -”

“Nah, sit down, let’s eat. This is your house. Your rules.” Mikah was being overly friendly. Clearly trying to put Hector at ease.
It was not working.

Hector eventually found another seat and sat down. His wife brought over the fish and laid it on the table.

“You can sit too, Maria.” Mikah pointed at her and motioned for her to sit. She eventually found a chair and sat down.

“So how have you been?” Mikah said.

Hector was in no mood to talk, only shrugging and giving the universal “I don’t know” shrug.

“Your house looks good, nice family, good on you, amigo. Good on you. Now, I’m just here to straighten some shit out. Because, my partners have come to you, many times, and requested the money you owe me. And… they always come back empty-handed. And I’m thinking, oh, Hector must not want to pay. But then, I figure, maybe my partners are being slick and not giving me the money, even though you paid. So I just needed to see it for myself.”

Mikah leaned back in his chair and stretched.

“I see you got this going and… My partners, you know I checked them. I always checked them and make sure they weren’t shorting me. So… that just leaves you, Amigo.”

“Jefe, I just need time.”

Mikah laughed, like an incredulous laugh.

“Oh, time. You see, that’s what I thought. You just needed time. And I gave you time. So, now… the time is up.”

*BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG*

Without warning or even a clue, Mikah pulled a pistol out from his pants, and shot Hector, his wife, and two kids.

Mikah didn’t bat an eyelash, but Levi and I were now nervous. That shit came from out of nowhere. Mikah didn’t say a word, he simply put the gun back in his pocket, and rifled through Hector’s belongings and eventually found a few hundred dollars. Mikah sat down, lit up one of Hector’s cigars and smoked it.

But they weren’t even getting started. Minkah put her purse on the table, opened it and produced not only a jar, but a surgical scalpel.

She stood up and proceeded to remove the eyes of all four victims.

The oozing and gooey sounds were nauseating. Once she had them. She simply bumped Mikah and he motioned for us all to leave.

We got back in the car, and every now and again there would be a *Tink* sound as Minkah tapped the glass full of fucking eyeballs with her fingernail.

We dropped them off, and then… we went home. As soon as we were out of view. Both of us looked at each other.

“Holy shit. What the fuck are we in to?!” I screamed. “They just fucking ended those people and just acting like it was nothing and then she fucking.. .fuck!”

“I told you this was bad.” Levi said.

“Yeah… no shit. We need a vacation after that.”

I’ve been trying to tell you that the game is rigged.
The system is broken.

Those in power don’t care about who earns what, who does what, and who even bothers to try.

All they care about is feeling like they gave everyone something. Even if they don’t deserve it.

I have called this out from the day I set foot in this company. They thought I was just playing a role, and then it turned out, I wasn’t. I wanted and still want real change in this company, and they will fight tooth and nail to keep it the way it is. Hand feeding you chances to make you feel like you’re accomplishing something, when in reality, you’re only getting what they give you.

I mean, can any of you explain why Seleana is in this Ultimate X match?
Can any of you explain why Kat Jones is getting an Internet title match?

“Oh, we’re giving these people a chance!”

How many chances do people get around here after literal YEARS of failure? Doesn’t that make you mad?

Harper?
Bella?
Brittany?

Aren’t you a little annoyed that you’re here in this match and yet it doesn’t even matter if you win or lose? That others will just be put here with no rhyme or reason? Doesn’t that upset you?

Seleana does not deserve to be part of this match. I can’t even remember the last time Seleana earned a win. And yet, here she is, with the same opportunity the rest of us have. She might as well be handed a literal participation trophy. She does nothing, and she’s not even worth mentioning at this point. Seleana is a waste of space and not worth the time or effort to speak about. I’ve said the same thing over and over again and it’s like talking to a goddamn wall. I’m yelling into the void at this point.

But you’re okay with it?

Then again, You’re okay with everything, aren’t you, Harper? You’re okay with being mediocre. You’re okay with telling us the same shit each and every time we hear you speak. You’re okay with her partner turning on her and them just settling it with a fucking lawyer. You’re just ho-hum. Why should you look a gift horse in the mouth? Is this what you were taught, Harper? Just accept things and not actually do anything? Turn a blind eye, even when shit happens directly to you? You’re oblivious to the world, just so long as you get a handout every once in a while, huh?

You are just another perfect puppet.

You’re just happy to be here. Happy to have a job, and happy to get whatever crumbs you are fed. You have done zero with your career and this is another little crumb for you to perhaps strive to become better.

But, you won’t.

You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. You’re stuck here. Perpetually. You will never achieve anything greater than the Roulette title because you don’t have the hunger or drive to do any more than the absolute minimum. You look at it as a career accomplishment, instead of a stepping stone to something greater. There is no great villain for you to beat. hero. You’ve already beaten yourself.

I know that Brittany is okay with things. She may be the smartest of the bunch here. Because Brittany doesn’t give a shit about what happens between supercards. Brittany hasn’t done a thing since winning the Roulette title, but rest assured, as sure as there is a reason to actually do something, she will do it. This is the reward given, and then the cycle starts all over again.

Just like her mother.

I mean, this is pure genius. She has basically made Climax Control moot. What does it matter winning or losing on the show? The Williams/Hilton/Whatever the fuck have made this a family tradition. They are the real puppetmasters in this whole thing. I can admit when I make a mistake. I thought that Crystal was a soldier for the regime, but no, the family is truly in charge as they can do anything, or nothing, and get rewarded for it.

And there’s even a drop of nepotism in there. I mean, you can’t tell me, you don’t see this. You can’t tell me that all of you are okay with this.

You all can tell me, I’m just talking, I make these things up. I see things and make mountains out of molehills. How many times will I have to point this out before it finally clicks? I got rid of Brittany’s mother, and now, you want me to get rid of her daughter as well? Or just make it seem that way? Because as she’s proven, it doesn’t really matter. She’ll be back. The Williams family are like cockroaches, you kill one, and there’s 30 more. I’m not doing your dirty work.

But if anyone, anyone should have seen the light by now, it’s you Bella.

I want you to really think about this scenario for a second here.

You were placed in this match, weeks ago. And after this, you beat me, and you beat Mercedes Vargas, current number one contender. Has this done ANYTHING for you?

Like, literally anything? You beat two former Bombshell’s champions back to back and here you are vying for another title in a pool. Do you get it now, Bella? It means fucking nothing. Your wins were absolutely worthless, because they didn’t change your standings. It didn’t change anything about the match you were in, about what you accomplished, nothing. Kat Jones hasn’t done a single thing since returning other than beating Bea Barnhart, and that’s worth next to nothing, and is competing for the Internet title.

Open your fucking eyes, Bella.

They don’t care about you.

They basically expected you to lose to Mercedes Vargas. They didn’t think you were good enough, but even if you won, it doesn’t change anything. You should be in the main event, facing Victoria Lyons or at the very least, be in a triple threat match. But instead, you’re here, and you were going to be here regardless of what happened.

You know who listened to me and woke up? Victoria Lyons.

That’s why she’s there, and you’re here, Bella.

I’ve said from the start, the game is rigged, and there is incompetence all around.
So now, I am going to be punished.

Why am I here?

Because I failed. This is my punishment. I deserve to be here. I can accept that. I failed. Because I didn’t do enough. But I get it. This is what’s really going on here.

They want me to win.

So that I’m out of the way. I have a belt, I’ll keep quiet and stop pointing out every single mistake they make and how clueless they are.

I don’t want the Roulette title. I’m going to win it, and hand it back to them. I don’t want it, I never wanted it and I’m not falling for the dog and pony show.

I know what I want, and I will continue to speak it into existence until it is a reality.

Trust me.

“One Year On!"

(everyone in the karaoke scenes were used with their respective handlers’ permission)

It was the week of the Summer XXXTreme Cruise/PPV Spectacular and Harper. For the second year in a row, found herself challenging for the Bombshell Roulette Title, this time against Brittany Williams, Bella Madison, Seleana Zdunich, and Frankie Holiday in the annual Ultimate X Over the Pool Match! And with a no contact order in place between her and Cassie from the start to the end of the cruise? The question was: could Harper win?

Tuesday the 23rd of June 2026, 16:00pm

My relationship with this PPV is rocky at best.

Everyone knows how I beat Victoria Lyons at last year’s cruise to claim the Bombshell Roulette Title for the first time, ending her year long title reign in the process, but as much as I’d love to pretend that that was my Summer XXXTreme debut?

It wasn’t, because the year before I had that Street Fight against the returning Alicia Lukas that was my Summer XXXTreme debut! I lost that match and pretty much kicked off an unofficial rivalry which is currently in purgatory because of Alicia’s injury during the Abruisement Park Tour.

And I swear to god, if Cassie frames for that shit again I’ll say, “screw the Roulette Title Match against Brittany, Bella, Seleana and Frankie, I’ve got my honour to defend!”, luckily she hasn’t said much about it since the start of the cycle. Presumably because she’s been too busy with her ambitions for the Bombshell Internet Title and even if she hadn’t? Jessie pre-emptively banned Cassie and her goons from her karaoke events weeks in advance.

Speaking of?

”Bet you missed doing this Jess.” I commented to Jessie as I walked up to her and she looked up with a grin. ”You were pregnant and unable to attend my first year, had to stay at home and look after April in year two and now you’re finally back in year three!”

”Take that as a lesson Harp, if you’ve got plans for the future that involve traveling.” She pointed at my midriff and it didn’t take me long to realize what she was getting at. ”Don’t get pregnant! Bonus points if you’ve got a lingering heart problem which, when combined with the pregnancy, causes you to collapse mid-sparring match!”

”I mean, that incident was how we found out you were pregnant in the first place.” I reminded Jessie before shaking my head. ”Still find it hard to believe that you didn’t notice for those first couple of weeks.”

”A woman’s body is a weird and wonderful thing.” Jessie shrugged non-chalantly. ”Anyway the turnout for this year’s karaoke isn’t as big as it was in year’s past but we’ve got a couple of interested parties, Fenris is returning to defend his karaoke king crown, Josh is taking part, Marissa Shields is probably using it as a break from Logan and Brooke, Ryan Keys has signed up./” She looked up at me. ”What about you Harper?”

”Go ahead and put me down, might do “Playing God” by Motionless in White and dedicate it to Cass.” I responded with a nod and Jessie snorted before writing my name down. ”And of course we have to leave the door open for fans to take part.”

”Of course! Also, don’t worry about Cass.” Jessie assured me as she stepped forward. ”I practically gave the bouncers everything but her social security number, trust me, she’s not taking part,”

”I’d make a snide comment but given how she’s under the same no contact clause as me? I doubt she’ll push her luck” I nodded in response and Jessie grunted in agreement. ”Otherwise I’m ready for Cassie and the PPV!” I added and Jessie nodded in approval before the conversation drifted off.

Almost time.

The ship’s nightclub, Sun Princess Cruise Liner, the high seas
Tuesday the 23rd of June 2026, 21:00pm

The first karaoke night has been operating for a couple of minutes now and because I’m the roster member this time? I’m helping Jessie host it, which basically translates to me and Jessie taking it in turns introducing the singers.

So far we’ve had two fans, a guy regretting his choice to sing “Young Girl” an old 60s song with some seriously creepy lyrics, barely a minute into the chorus, several guys butchering “Larger Than Life”.

No I didn’t know it wea possibly to make Backstreet Boys sound bad either, but now it was my turn to introduce and it was time for a wrestler to take the stage.

”Right guys! That was certainly something!” I declared into the mic and the crowd laughed while the guys took it in their stride. ”And now it’s time for one of the wrestlers to take the stage! Singing “Don’t Stop Me Now” please welcome the SCW Roulette Champion “The Life of the Party” Ryan Keys!”

Ryan stepped onto the stage and the crowd cheered as he took the mic from me and I joined Jessie in the crowd. ”So far you’re doing well Harp.” Jessie complimented me as Ryan did a genuinely good rendition of the Queen classic. ”You’ve learned fast.”

”Learning fast or trying to not think about Cassie or the Bombshell Roulette Title for one night.” I shrugged in response to as Ryan sung away. ”Speaking of?”

”If there was a sighting of Cassie I would’ve told you through the guards by now.” Jessie assured me before Ryan’s performance wrapped up. ”Okay, Josh is next but I’ll introduce him, you’re got the reigning champ.”

”Yeah I saw, then we’ve got two more fan performances and then Fenris, knowing how good Fenris is? I’d be surprised if any fans want to go one after him.” I commented before looking at the schedule. ”Never mind, Marissa’s on after Fenris.”

Jessie nodded before she headed to the stage to introduce Josh as he sung “Tennessee Whisky” by Chris Stappleton and did a good job, the two fans that went on after him, a girl around my age who chose to perform “Single Ladies” by Beyonce and a guy doing “Reign in Blood” by Slayer all did well.

Yeah, I know, one of those things is definitely not like the others.

In any case it was my time to step up to the mic. ”Give it up for Matt everyone!” I called out to the fans and they cheered in response. ”Alright it’s time for the moment we’ve been waiting for, can he keep his throne? Please welcome former SCW World Heavyweight Champion and performing “Zombie” by Yungblood: FENRIS!”

Fenris took to the stage and his rendition of “Zombie” was perfect, which was impressive considering the Icelandic wrestler only sung while drunk and didn’t even think he was that great, as he continued? Jessie turned to me. ”I take it any remaining fans took their names off the list?”

”Yep, just Marissa and…………..” I trailed off before looking at Jessie in shock. ”She’s doing Defying Gravity.”

Not long after I realized that? Fenris wrapped up his performance and I took to the stage. ”Right we’ve only got one performer left! Please welcome Marissa Shields and her rendition of Defying Gravity!”

I left the stage and watched as the older Shield Twin stepped up, you know what the most shocking thing was? Marrisa nailed it!

Hopefully, I can nail the landing on Sunday.

*promo time*

Here we go.

”Pop quiz, hat’s the first thing you think of when you hear the word summer? Longer days? Hot weather? Vacations? Somewhere in between?” I asked hypothetically as I sat on the karaoke stage, everyone but me, Josh and Jessie had left (and Jessie was filming) so I figured this was as good a time as any to do my promo. ”What about this cruise? Because for SCW fans and wrestlers alike? This is the first thing that comes to mind, especially when you’re in a title match on the14 PPV like me!

And that’s especially true when that title match is the annual Ultimate X Over the Pool Match for the SCW Bombshell Roulette title.”
I added as I rested one arm on my leg. ”And I noticed something as I headed into week two, namely? Frankie, Bella, and Seleana showed up, the champ didn’t, guess who I’m addressing first?”

That’s right.

”Brittany. Considering the whole reason you’re the Bombshell Roulette Champ again is because Cassie cost me the match at Into the Void the fact that you’ve chosen the silence is golden approach frustrates me to no end, seriously, where was this lack of effort at Universal Studios Japan?” I asked when an annoyed grunt as I rolled my eyes. ”What? Did your royal highness expect the world to just roll over for you after you won the title.

Newsflash your majesty: it doesn’t work like that in wrestling!”
I added as I rolled my eyes. ”Hell at this point Seleana would be a more credible champ than you and she hasn’t been relevant since I was fifteen years old!”

Speaking of……………

”And no, I don’t care if I just made anyone feel old by reminding them that I was fifteen during the pandemic! And on that note? Seleana, you’ve already put in more effort than our champ and that pretty much means a coup against the princess is bound to happen, I’d say a bloodless coup but this is wresting, a sport where we sort out our differences using our firsts.” I added before letting out a deep breath. ”Thing is Sel? We all know that you won’t win this match.

Because the truth is you peaked during the pandemic and the Bombshell Division has passed you by.”
I added as I shook my head. ”And either you’re the only one who doesn’t realize it or you persist anyway, either way? You’re not leaving this ship with the gold!”

As for the other blonde in the match?

”Bella, at the very least you have more credibility than Seleana and Brittany, not saying much because the average Hero Academy trainee has more credibility than them but even so.” I stated as I brushed some hair over my shoulder. ”As far as my main rivals for the gold are concerned? It’s between you and Frankie.

Hell I’d almost say, “take Brittany and Seleana out of the match and leave it between us three” but Brittany’s title is on the line!!”
I added as I shook my head. ”And you know the Bombshell Roulette Division is in a sad state of affairs when I can talk about the champion like that and most people would agree! It’s almost enough to make me pine for when Victoria was dominating the division but I digress!”

And last up…………….

”Speaking of division dominance, we still have the massively out of place Frankie Holiday to address and I’m still wondering what you did to piss off the higher ups to get demoted from the World Bombshell Division to the Bombshell Roulette Division so quickly Frankie!” I stated before shaking my head. ”I guess the boring answer is that Christian and Evelynn wanted you on the card by any means necessary and this was the easiest route.

But let’s be honest, it’s more fun to speculate on your fall from grace.”
I added as I brushed some hair over my shoulder. ”And if I have my way? You’ll be falling from the Ultimate X Structure and into the pool as well!”

It’s that simple.

”So to recap: on paper this is the most stacked Ultimate X Over the Pool Match we’ve seen in years: two former World Bombshell Champions, one former Bombshell Internet Champion and two former Bombshell Roulette champions alongside the reigning champ, but in practice?” I added as io shook my head. ”It’s not so Black and White:

The champ doesn’t seem to give a shit, the only former double champ in this match hasn’t been relevant in six years. One of the former champs has people wondering who she pissed off in management and there’s only three credible contenders in this match, me Frankie and Bella, Brittany, and Sel? This may as well be a Roulette Contenders match at this point!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

”One year ago I defied everyone’s expectations by ending Victoria’s title reign, this year the title is in the hands of a spoiled brat, one of her challengers is glaringly out of place, the other is looking to finally win the Bombshell Roulette Title and  the other was a last minute addition.” I stated as I folded my arms. ”And that’s who u have to contend with if I want to be a two time Bombshell Roulette Champion and I’m going to work my ass off to win it, why?

You should know this by now but the world needs a new hero and desperately needs a new Bombshell Roulette Champion!”
I added as I leaned towards the camera. ”And her name will be “The Slautanic Avenger” Harper Mason and I am looking to repeat my prior success one year on! see you ladies at the pool!”

Jessie turned off the camera as the scene fades.

Seleana Zdunich shrugs at her fifteen-year-old, Aurora Zdunich, as the younger woman looks at her mother quizzically.

Aurora Zdunich: So what are you gonna do?

Seleana sighs heavily.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not…

She trails off.

Aurora Zdunich: You don't know… what?

Looking at her daughter, Seleana's entire body seems to almost falter.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not enjoy matches like this. There will be five of us in this match including your sister.

Seleana shakes her head sadly.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not like fighting family, even though it happens often.

Aurora nods knowingly.

Aurora Zdunich: Mommy Christina…

Seleana nods.

Seleana Zdunich: Ja, it is not fun.

She looks at the door.

Seleana Zdunich: Now, it will be Brittany and I along with Bella, Frankie and Harper for the Roulette Championship over the pool.

Aurora

Aurora Zdunich: Do you mind wearing the bathing suits?

Seleana smiles.

Seleana Zdunich: Many wrestle in that style attire, it is not a crazy thought especially when you are hanging over the water as we will be.

Aurora grins.

Aurora Zdunich: Does B-Brat like it?

Seleana just looks at her daughter, her expression seemingly frozen at the question.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not know, I have not asked her.

Aurora stares back, confusion settling into her eyes.

Aurora Zdunich: Do the others?

Again, Seleana just stares at her daughter.

Seleana Zdunich: I do not know, I am not certain that I care. I do not matter to them and so they do not matter to me.

Aurora snickers.

Aurora Zdunich: Good Mommy!

Seleana smiles.

Seleana Zdunich: I have asked if I can practice and the request has been granted.

Aurora grins.

Aurora Zdunich: Do you enjoy it?

Seleana shrugs.

Seleana Zdunich: It is something to do.

Aurora just looks back, puzzled.

Aurora Zdunich: Really?

Seleana sighs.

Seleana Zdunich: The part I enjoyed will not happen anymore. Christina and Alexandra are both gone from the company. Alexandra moved into Mary's house.

She smiles.

Seleana Zdunich: I am happy she still calls.

Seleana just looks at her daughter.

Seleana Zdunich: I know that I will never do enough to gain everyone's respect. They think I am nothing, that I never put in the proper work, never paid my dues and now I am lazy and unworthy of much of anything so…

She nods to the door.

Seleana Zdunich: I will continue to work, continue to fight as I have always done. Let them say what they want, I will just fight.

Aurora smiles, hugging her mother.

Aurora Zdunich: I love you, Mommy!

Seleana hugs her daughter back.

Seleana Zdunich: Jag älskar dig också, älskling!

~*~For the Fans~*~

The Princess Cruise had transformed one of its larger event halls into a paradise for wrestling fans.

Banners from every era of SCW lined the walls while merchandise booths stretched from one end of the room to the other. Fans wandered from table to table with replica championships slung over their shoulders, stacks of glossy eight-by-tens tucked under their arms, and enough excitement to make the room feel louder than it actually was.

One of the busiest tables belonged to the Madison family.

Laura Phoenix sat comfortably behind the long table, smiling as she signed another photograph from the height of her legendary career. Beside her, Bella Madison worked through an equally impressive stack of modern promotional photos, occasionally stopping to chat with fans about her recent victory over Mercedes Vargas and the upcoming Ultimate X match at Summer XXXTreme.

It had been nearly two hours.

Bella's hand was beginning to cramp.

Unfortunately, her biggest challenge hadn't been the endless line of fans.

"Mama."

Bella looked down to find Máire tugging insistently on the leg of her chair, "What is it, bug?"

"I hungry."

Bella glanced toward the untouched snack bag sitting beside her daughter, "I thought you were hungry twenty minutes ago."

"I was."

"And now?"

"I hungry."

Bella blinked, "...Again?"

A determined nod came from her daughter’s head and Laura looked over just in time to catch the exchange and immediately started laughing. Bella shot her mother an exhausted look, "Don't."

Laura couldn't stop smiling, "I didn't say anything."

"You were about to."

"I absolutely was. Something tells me that she’s about to go through a growth spurt."

Bella sighed dramatically before reaching into the snack bag and handing her daughter another pack of crackers, "There you go."

Máire accepted them happily, for approximately seven seconds, "Mama."

Bella slowly closed her eyes, "...Yes?"

"I no want crackers."

Bella looked down, "You literally just asked for them."

"No."

"You did."

"No."

Laura leaned back in her chair, laughing so hard she had to wipe a tear from the corner of her eye.

Bella pointed accusingly, "This is your fault."

"My fault?"

"You used to tell me I'd understand someday."

Laura folded her hands together innocently, "And now?"

Bella looked toward the ceiling, "I understand."

The older woman smiled sweetly, "I've been waiting years for this moment."

Bella shook her head, "I knew bringing you was a mistake."

A nearby fan couldn't help laughing, earning an apologetic smile from Bella before she finished signing another photo.

Fortunately, the line finally began to disappear. The last fan thanked both women before walking away, leaving the autograph table blessedly quiet for the first time all afternoon.

Bella leaned back in her chair with an exaggerated groan, "I think I'm more exhausted than I was after wrestling Mercedes."

Laura looked sideways at her daughter, "You wrestled Mercedes for fifteen minutes." She nodded toward the little blonde girl happily swinging her legs beneath the table, "You've been wrestling her for the last two hours."

As if perfectly on cue...

"Mama."

Bella looked down, "What is it now?"

Máire folded both arms across her chest, "No."

Bella stared, "...No what?"

"No."

Bella looked helplessly toward Laura, "I don't even know what we're saying no to anymore."

Laura laughed so hard she nearly had to steady herself against the table, "Oh, she's definitely yours."

Bella opened her mouth to respond before something caught her eye across the convention hall, and her expression softened immediately, "Kevin."

Laura followed her gaze. Standing several booths away was Kevin, chatting with another teenage boy while a woman Bella assumed was his mother stood nearby. Connor was animatedly pointing toward one of the memorabilia displays while Kevin laughed at something he'd just said.

Bella's smile grew wider and without thinking twice, she lifted her hand, "Kevin!"

Kevin turned at the sound of his name. The moment he spotted Bella, his face lit up. He waved enthusiastically as Bella motioned for all three of them to come over. Connor looked slightly confused until Kevin said something to him, after which the three made their way across the room.

Bella stepped around the table to greet them.

"It's so good to see you."

Kevin smiled as they shared a quick hug, "You too."

Bella stepped back before looking toward the others, "I don't think you've met everybody yet."

She gestured toward the woman standing beside Kevin.

"You must be Sarah."

Sarah smiled warmly, "I am."

"It's nice to finally meet you. Kevin has said wonderful things about you."

Sarah laughed, "I hope only the good ones."

Bella grinned, "So far."

That earned a laugh from all four adults. Bella turned toward the younger boy standing quietly beside Kevin, "And I recognize you, it’s good to see you again Connor."

Connor nodded, though Bella immediately noticed he wasn't actually looking at her anymore. His eyes had drifted toward Laura.

Bella followed his gaze before slowly turning back toward him, "...Connor?"

He blinked, "Huh?"

Bella couldn't help smiling, "You okay?"

Connor's cheeks immediately turned bright red, "I..."

He glanced toward Laura again.

"I know who you are."

Laura stood and walked around the table with her familiar warm smile, "I certainly hope so."

Connor let out a nervous laugh, "No, I mean..." He rubbed the back of his neck, "I've watched your matches since I was a kid."

Sarah closed her eyes with an amused smile, "There it is."

Connor looked horrified, "Mom..."

Bella bit the inside of her cheek to stop herself from laughing as Laura simply extended her hand.

"Well, it's very nice to meet you, Connor."

He shook it carefully, still looking slightly starstruck, "You were always my favorite." Connor immediately realized what he'd said, "Oh my God..."

Kevin burst out laughing and Bella wasn't far behind as Sarah simply shook her head, "I warned him."

Laura smiled kindly, "Well...thank you. That means a great deal."

Before anyone could say anything else, a tiny voice piped up from Bella's side, "Who dat?"

Everyone looked down as Máire was pointing directly at Connor, "That's Connor."

Connor crouched down to her level, "Hi."

Máire studied him with all the seriousness a nearly three-year-old could muster. After several long seconds, she smiled, "Hi."

Connor's entire expression softened, "She's adorable."

Bella laughed, "Normally I'd agree. Today she's testing that theory."

Sarah smiled knowingly, "Terrible twos?"

Bella let out a long sigh, "I've started calling them the terrible 'almost threes.' Somehow that's even worse."

Laura nodded without missing a beat, "Oh just wait."

Bella looked at her mother, "...Don't."

Laura grinned, "I'm just saying...it gets better. Eventually."

Bella groaned while everyone else laughed, the sound blending effortlessly with the lively atmosphere of the convention hall as, for just a few moments, Summer XXXTreme, championship matches, and the pressures of professional wrestling faded into the background in favor of something much simpler.

Family. A family that always kept her in check....or at least tried too....

~*~Impacts on Days of Future Past~*~

The Madison training facility was quieter than usual, but the tension was unmistakable. Bella, pink hair still bright from her shocking debut, stood arms folded, defiant. Laura’s usual warmth had been replaced with a sharp edge.

“So, you thought blindsiding someone was the way to introduce yourself?” Laura’s voice was firm, disappointment woven through it, "You didn’t even tell me you were debuting last night.”

Bella bristled, "I wanted them to see me, not the legacy. After how every one spent the last 6 months talking about me and the moves I made, I sure as hell wasn’t about to make it a grand entrance. I made an impact, didn’t I?”

Laura stepped closer, her gaze locking with Bella’s, "An impact? Sure. But at what cost? People are super pissed at you. And kid, I should know this more than anyone that you don’t build a career on cheap shots. You build it on respect, and last night? You threw that away.”

Bella’s jaw clenched, "I was not abot to wait for permission from the grand council of the company to get their fucking approval, mom. I had zero interest in waiting to not to be invited. I had to do something big so they’d remember my name and for them to understand that I’m not that little girl anymore.”

Laura’s voice softened, but it remained firm, "Bella, you’re my daughter, and I know how good you are. But if you want people to remember you, let them remember your talent, your grit, not a shortcut. You want to do this right, or do you just want to be a flash in the pan?”

Bella exhaled, the fire in her eyes flickering but still lit, "I’ll do it right. But I’m still going to make them remember me, on my terms.”

Laura nodded, a small smile breaking through, "Then make them remember for the right reasons. No more surprises. Do you want an impact? Show them what you’re capable of when the bell rings. Don’t attack a man that is like your fucking uncle to do that!”

Bella scoffed, shaking her head as she turned away from her mother. She paced toward the ropes, grabbing the top strand with both hands before leaning forward against it.

"You keep saying respect like I don't understand what that means."

Laura didn't move, "No, Bella. I'm saying respect because I don't think you understand what it takes to earn it."

Bella spun around, "I don't need people to like me."

"I didn't say they had to."

"I don't need their approval either."

"I didn't say that, either."

Bella threw her hands into the air in frustration, "Then what are we even arguing about?"

Laura finally stepped forward, stopping just a few feet away from her daughter, "We're arguing because you think making an impact and making a reputation are the same thing."

Bella opened her mouth to respond but Laura didn't let her, "You blindsided someone you've known since you were little. Someone who watched you grow up. Someone who'd have given you this opportunity anyway."

She let those words settle before continuing.

"And now..." She gestured toward the ring, "...instead of people talking about how good Bella Madison is...They're talking about how Bella Madison introduced herself."

Bella's jaw tightened, "Good."

Laura blinked, "Excuse me?"

"They're talking."

Laura couldn't help letting out a short laugh, "I was wondering when you'd say that."

Bella folded her arms again, "You wanted me to get noticed. I got noticed."

Laura slowly nodded, "You're right."

Bella looked almost surprised by the admission.

"You did. But here's the part you haven't figured out yet." Laura pointed toward the empty ring, "You only get one first impression. You've already made yours. So now what?"

Bella didn't answer but Laura did.

"Now...you have to spend the rest of your career convincing people there's more to you than that moment."

The words hung in the air and for the first time since the conversation began Bella didn't have an immediate comeback. She looked down at the canvas beneath her boots, "What if there isn't?"

Laura smiled, "Oh, sweetheart..." She closed the distance between them and rested a hand against Bella's cheek, brushing a loose strand of bright pink hair behind her ear, "I've watched you running around and wrestling since you were barely tall enough to see over the top rope. I know exactly who you are. The question isn't whether there's more to Bella Madison. It's how long it's going to take before everyone else sees her."

Bella looked back at her mother, the fire was still there. That O’Neil-slash-Madison stubbornness hadn't gone anywhere. But for the first time, there was something else.

Perspective.

Laura patted her lightly on the shoulder before turning toward the office door, "Now..." She glanced back over her shoulder, "...next time you decide to shake the wrestling world...at least have the decency to tell your mother first."

Bella couldn't help herself, a reluctant smile finally broke through, "No promises."

Laura laughed, "I didn't think so."

Bella watched her mother start toward the office door before speaking again, "So what?"

Laura stopped, but didn't turn around.

"What if you're wrong?" A quiet silence settled over the room as Bella continued, "What if I never become the wrestler everybody expects me to be? What if I'm never going to be 'Laura Phoenix's daughter' to these people? What if the only way they ever remember Bella Madison...is because I forced them to?"

Laura finally turned back around. There wasn't an ounce of anger left on her face, only understanding. She smiled softly.

"Then you'll have your answer."

Bella frowned, "What does that mean?"

"It means if that's all you ever become..." Laura took a slow step toward her, "...then you were never as good as I always believed you were."

Bella's eyes narrowed as Laura pointed toward the ring, "I've never worried about whether people would remember your name. I've worried about whether you'd give them a reason to remember it for twenty years instead of twenty minutes. I know my answer. I guess we'll find out yours."

Laura turned once more and disappeared into the office, Bella stood alone in the room. She looked around the empty ring. The silence suddenly felt much louder.

For the first time since the argument started, Bella wasn't angry, she was thinking.

~~Chosen Violence: The Last Splash~~

The afternoon sun reflected off the water surrounding the Princess Cruise, the same pool that would become the battlefield for one of SCW's most dangerous traditions in just a matter of hours. Suspended high above it, the steel cables of the Ultimate X structure stretched from corner to corner, waiting for five women willing to risk everything for one championship.

Bella Madison stood beneath them alone.

She had spent weeks recreating this match inside the old barn behind her New York home. She had climbed until her forearms cramped, hung from cables until her grip failed, and hit crash mats enough times that her body had forgotten the difference between practice and punishment.

Now...There were no more rehearsals. Bella looked up at the championship hanging above the pool before turning toward the camera.

"You know, I spent a lot of time over the last few weeks asking myself why this match has always managed to get the better of me. Every time Summer XXXTreme came around and Ultimate X was announced, I trained harder than I had for almost anything else. I prepared. I studied. I respected the match for exactly what it was, because you'd have to be an idiot not to. There isn't another match in this company quite like it. One bad decision, one hand slipping off a cable, one lapse in concentration, and your night is over before you even realize what happened."

She smiled faintly.

"The funny thing is... I kept looking for some complicated answers. Maybe I wasn't strong enough. Maybe I wasn't fast enough. Maybe I hadn't prepared well enough. Maybe somebody else was simply better on the night."

Bella slowly shook her head.

"The answer was a whole lot simpler than that." She stepped forward, resting one hand against the ring rope, "I spent years competing in this match like I was asking permission to win it. I climbed carefully. I reacted to everybody else. I waited for opportunities instead of creating them, and every single time I found myself climbing out of that pool watching somebody else celebrate while I was left wondering where it all went wrong."

Her expression hardened.

"I'm done wondering." She looked directly into the camera, "I'm done giving this match permission to beat me."

A slow breath escaped her, "And since this is the last time I'm going to talk before Summer XXXTreme, I think it's only fair that I talk to the four women who are about to share that structure with me."

A smile crept across her face.

"Brittany, I've watched you grow into this championship, and whether people want to admit it or not, you've earned every ounce of respect that comes with carrying it. Nobody accidentally becomes the Bombshell Roulette Champion. You fought for it. You survived for it. You proved you deserved it."

Bella nodded, almost as though she expected Brittany to hear every word.

"But here's the part nobody tells the champion. The day you win the title, it stops belonging to you, "It becomes everybody else's obsession. You're going to climb those cables thinking about protecting your championship. You're going to look at it hanging above your head and convince yourself that all you have to do is survive four challengers."

She smiled.

"You're wrong. You don't have four challengers. You have one woman who has spent weeks rebuilding this match from the ground up because she got tired of losing it. And when I reach you up there, I'm not going to ask politely for an opening. I'm not going to wait for you to make a mistake."

"I'm going to create one."

Bella shifted her weight before continuing.

"Frankie..." A laugh escaped her, "I honestly don't know if you've ever woken up in your life and thought to yourself, 'Today I'm going to make sensible decisions to go along with my sensible shoes.' I don't think that's how your brain works, and if I'm being honest, that's one of the reasons I enjoy watching you compete."

She shrugged.

"You thrive in chaos. You make people uncomfortable because nobody knows what you're going to do next, including you half the time. And that's dangerous."

"It really is. But there's a difference between embracing chaos and controlling it."

Bella leaned slightly against the ropes.

"This match rewards the woman who knows exactly when to take a risk and exactly when not to. Somewhere during this match you're going to see an opportunity that nobody else sees, and you're going to throw yourself at it without thinking twice."

She smiled wider.

"I'll already be there waiting. Because while you're busy creating the moment everyone talks about... I'll be creating the moment that sends you into the water."

She let that settle before moving on.

"Harper." Bella's smile disappeared, replaced by quiet respect, "If anybody in this match can physically throw another human being across that structure, it's probably you. You're powerful enough to make people second guess every exchange, because they know that if you get your hands on them, they're going for a ride."

She nodded.

"I respect that. I also know something else. Power doesn't make you balanced. It doesn't make you lighter. And gravity, the heartless bitch that it is, has never cared how much weight somebody can lift."

Bella looked back toward the cables suspended above the pool.

"Up there, strength is only useful if you can control it. And if there's one thing I've learned after every Ultimate X match I've ever been in..."

She glanced back toward the camera.

"...it's that gravity is the only undefeated competitor."

She smiled again.

"Seleana, I've probably thought about you more than anybody else in this match. Not because you're loud. Not because you're flashy. But because you're patient and you don't waste movement. You don't chase moments. You let everybody else create the opening, and then you quietly take advantage of it."

Bella nodded.

"That's what makes you dangerous. You aren't looking for perfection. You're waiting for somebody else to stop being perfect."

She folded her arms.

"Unfortunately for you...I've spent the last several weeks making sure I don't."

Silence hung for a moment, as Bella looked around the empty ringside area before speaking again.

"You know what all four of you have in common? I genuinely respect every one of you. I respect what you've accomplished. I respect what you've survived. I respect what you're capable of doing to me. But somewhere along the way I confused respect with hesitation and those aren't the same thing."

Her voice lowered, becoming calmer rather than louder.

"When that bell rings, I'm not going to hate any of you. I'm not angry and I'm not looking for revenge. I'm simply making a decision."

Bella pointed toward the cables overhead.

"If Brittany loses her grip because I kicked her hand off the cable...So be it. If Frankie throws herself into one risk too many and I help gravity finish the job...So be it. If Harper discovers that all the strength in the world can't save her from a shove at exactly the wrong moment...So be it. If Seleana spends one second waiting for the perfect opening and realizes I already took it...So be it."

Bella's eyes never left the camera.

"SO FUCKING BE IT! Because I've spent enough years climbing out of that pool wondering what I should have done differently. I'm not doing it again."

She reached up, wrapped both hands around one of the cables, and gave it a firm tug. It barely moved.

"I didn't build a practice rig in my barn because I wanted to feel prepared. I built it because I wanted to become someone this match had never seen before."

She smiled.

"The Bella Madison who walked into her first Ultimate X match believed surviving was enough. The Bella Madison standing here today understands that surviving doesn't win championships. Taking them does."

She looked one final time at the championship hanging above the pool.

"Sunday night, five women will climb these cables. Four of them will hit the water and when the last splash finally settles..."

Bella looked back into the camera, the confidence in her eyes absolute.

"...I won't be looking up from the pool anymore. I'll be looking down at it with the Bombshell Roulette Championship over my shoulder."

She gave one final nod.

"And that's the difference between the woman who wanted to make an impact...and the woman who has chosen violence."

Day 1:

I often wonder about the people who spend literally days in line for this cruise thing. There’s literally going to be a spot for you, you paid for it. I see them all just lined up as I arrive, wearing their favorite wrestlers t-shirts, or legends of the company, or the company logo. These people have clearly been here for days. The air smell of body order, salt water, and perfume is a horrendous mix that stings the nostrils. This is one of my least favorite things in the world.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I am a social butterfly. I enjoy talking to people. I enjoy interaction. It just seems that very few people want to interact with me. Probably because I call them out on their bullshit most of the time, but people are always like “I wonder what Franke does on her off-time?” Well, you all don’t want to actually talk to me, and as such, I don’t want to talk to you. I’ll tell you when I’m good and ready.

Anyway, another cruise, another boat, another shot for a good voyage and hopefully the cruise doesn’t fucking sink from all these people jamming their large carcasses onto this space. It was cool the first time I guess, but now it’s just wasting time. I watched all these people file onto the boat, most of my co-workers did as well. All of the laughing and having a good time. My only thoughts were how much I could ruin it, and how fun that would be.

Once the voyage was underway, I put my things in my room, most of the stuff was shipped ahead of time so that I didn’t have to carry a million things. I locked myself in the room to ensure no one went through my shit. Never can be too careful with these incels.

I mean, at least pay me some money so I get some of the benefits, you know? Fuck.

Once I left the room, it was time for reconnaissance. Again.

What a difference a year makes. Now people wanted to take pictures with me. Again, there’s a whole day for that when I can make some money off of it. But, I lamented and took some pictures, often not looking at the camera or staring straight ahead. I  got a lot of awkward looks, but what the hell, I gave them what they wanted. I just don’t understand people sometimes.

I spent all day just wandering. Looking at people, watching them do things. I like to people watch. It’s fun.

Night came and then it died down a little. These people have to save their energy I suppose.

Day 2.

More recon.

There really wasn’t much going on this time, more people hanging out by the pool and trying to interact with the wrestlers.

I always wonder why the whole thought process and conversation is like when a guy takes a picture with a girl wrestler and shows it to their significant other.

“Look babe, I took a picture with a girl! I’m pretty cool!”

I mean, it has to be like that, right?

There’s really no other explanation that makes sense. I mean, I get it if you don’t have a girlfriend or boyfriend and you like wrestling and you’re like, hey they’re famous and I will take a picture with them.

There’s a whole etiquette to this asking for pictures thing and it was complete out the fucking window during this cruise. People touching, grabbing, like whole around around the shoulders and waist. It’s fucking weird.

So, I made it more weird. In addition to not actually looking at the camera, I would get really close, like as close as they would get. Or stare at them the whole time. Like, you are not in control of this shit, I am. I am the one in control.

After that, it was a pool party. I went and sat down, sunbathing. I would ignore people who waved or said hi. Or, at times I would move the chair really close to where other people were sitting. Invading personal space. I’d listen to conversations about who these fans liked, and how they would fantasy book SCW and other places like they had this super great idea that would lead to all kinds of better stuff, and then just disagree with them for no real reason. Other than to start shit.

As I said, I’m a social butterfly, but as it turns out, most of these people don’t like it. They would just move away from me and get up and go somewhere else.

Isn’t this the interaction you guys wanted?

Don’t you want to talk to me? Don’t you want to share your opinions and get my reaction? Don’t you want to play games with me? I’m doing exactly what you want and you still don’t like it! I’m just at a loss for words.

Dinner was more of the same. More drunk and stupid fans. I wanted to go up and read poetry for the open mic session, but nobody wanted to listen. People kept telling me I was going on tirades like a conspiracy theorist instead.

It’s not a conspiracy theory if it’s fucking true.

Day 3:

I worked out.

I don’t really want to be in this match, I don’t want to win it, I don’t want the Roulette title. But if I don’t try, then Bella takes the title. Let’s just be honest. Seleana sucks and Harper is basically a robot. I’m sure Brittany will get some other match and some other point, and will randomly win it back and then we’ll go through the cycle all over again.

But I understand why I’m in this match.

Too keep me out of the way.

They don’t want me to be anywhere near the world title. They’re happy with old lady Mercedes and they figure they got their quota of new talent with Victoria. That’s all they need. And they for sure don’t want me to be back there. I rock the boat. I question things and challenge authority. They don’t want that.

So if I have the Roulette title then boom, they will force me to defend it and give random people title matches.
But if I lose? Then I’m right back at the bottom.

It’s a lose-lose situation.

I don’t understand the whole thing having to be over a fucking pool either. It’s fucking weird. But, I have to be ready at least. I have to try, I guess.

But the plan remains the same, win the belt, and then give it back to them. It’s not for me.

Unless, I can do something different, but again, they only want to play by the rules when it’s their rules.

Thinking about these things made the workout a little more tolerable, but I unfortunately worked myself up so much I needed to release that damn tension. So, I just went back to my cabin and masterbated.

After that, I felt much better.

Day 4.

Autograph and picture day.

At least I was able to make my money. And you know, there’s no new merch anywhere. Why did that stop? Now all we’re doing is being so much into pride month and celebrating and it’s a little much. I don’t need to wear a rainbow to show my support, do I? Can’t I just… be here and be like “Yup. You’re good?” Instead we have to be all extra with it.

I took pictures, and sold pictures and signed shit people wanted me to sign. Of course there were also the weirdo incels who wanted me to step on them and spit on them and all kinds of other weird shit that… I needed much more money. Like, you’re paying $5 for an autograph, anything else is going to cost you extra. That shit isn’t cheap.

I also got the smark fans who came up and told me how much they love my work and appreciate how hard I work and the level of dedication I have.

Motherfucker, you watch me on TV. Shut the fuck up. We are not friends. You put money down and watch me wrestle. That’s as far as it’s going to go unless you fork over some big time money.

Then, hey… I’ll talk to you for hours about trivial shit and workrate and pops and all that. I’ll give you all kinds of opinions and you can then believe we are totally friends.

Isn’t that what you want? Isn’t that how this whole thing works?

Wrestling fans are weird.

I watched others sign autographs, take pictures and be totally into talking to the fans like they really gave a shit, but I know most of my co-workers couldn’t care less. I’m just not hiding behind the smiles and the “oh my gosh, how are you?!” bullshit. You come up here, you get a photo, you get me to sign my name on a picture of me, and then you walk away.

It’s a simple transaction.

Day 5.

I’m just kind of done with these cruises really. I think next year I’ll just take this one off unless I’m the champion. Which I should already be for the second time, but it’s fine.

I worked out again. Things are much less rowdy and chaotic. It’s almost time. Everybody got their jollies and now it’s time to get serious.

Fucking finally.

What is there really left to talk about here?

What more do you want from me?

You stuck me in this match, with no way out.

Let’s just make this really simple.

I refuse to give Seleana any more time. Stop giving her chances. I said this months ago and you didn’t listen. You continue to give her a chance based on shit she did 5 years ago with Crystal whoever’s help. That’s all. It’s fucking over. It’s been over. Why is she here? When’s the last time she won a match? I am done with her, and you should be too.

Harper Mason couldn’t be more bland if she was boiled chicken. She is worried about who I pissed off to be in the opening match when last year I main evented. At least I got to the main event. Harper Mason will NEVER see that spot. She’s more interested in telling me what I already know. In fact, a bigger question would be, “why is Harper Mason STILL in the opening match?” Why have you not made any progress Harper? Why are you not going up the ladder? Why are you not going after the world title? The simple answer is, you can’t get there. This is your ceiling Harper. The Roulette title. You won’t go any higher than this. This will be the goddamn highlight of your career. You, like all your trainers and allies, are limited. This is where you train stops. The only thing you can be thankful for is the fact that once you lose this match, you don’t have far to go to get another one. You can’t be at the bottom by fucking default because Bea and Seleana exist. Just let that sink in.

Brittany didn’t even bother to show up. I don’t even think she’s on the cruise. So, whatever. It’s almost like people have been calling this out for years, and yet, people don’t listen. Brittany Williams won the title and proceeded to ghost this entire company for months. The only solace is that she will lose this match, and then she can at least be alone without a belt that she shouldn’t have in the fucking first place.

And that leaves Bella.

I said it last time you shouldn’t be here and you should be much higher up. You really should. But instead, you’re here despite all your success. Don’t you see what they are trying to do to you? They want to make you a puppet. Give you this, give you that, but control all of it.

You’ll get your success, but only the success we want you to.

You just beat the number one contender and it meant nothing. It means nothing. And then, let’s say you win this match… then what? What happens then? You go around and defend the title like a good soldier, and everyone forgets that what you did leading up to it. You should be a world title contender, and yet, you’re happy with this.

I have tried, Bella. I really have. I tried to open your eyes, and you just don’t want to listen. You don’t want to hear the truth. So, when I win this match, and I give the title back, then you can win against the top of the roster and fight for it again.

But hey, you do you, Bella. Believe what you want and go your own way. I tried very hard to help you, but it seems that despite everyone wanting more from me, they just don’t want what I’m giving them. They just don’t want to hear what I’m telling them. So, this is the last time I’m going to appeal to you, Bella. You have shunned by advice and guidance, so now… we’re just done here.

But don’t come complaining to me when you’re stuck competing for the Internet title in a month and you beat like 10 people.

Because all I will say, is I told you so.

And there you have it.

I got on this boat, I jumped through all the hoops, I did everything that was asked of me. I took my punishment and I will still end up winning. You wanted to break me, you wanted to try and take me out of my game, well, it's not going to to happen.

I'm going to use those cables and drop all these other bitches in the pool. I'm well versed in climbing shit and holding on for dear life. You only have heard about the shit I've done and what I've been through. You think that this stupid shit is going to stop me? You want to try and embarrass me and drop me in a pool?

No.

I'm going to win this title.

I'm going to then drop it in the middle of the ring and leave it for you clean up.

And then, I will climb right back up the ladder, and I will take down Victoria, or Mercedes, whomever wins. I don't care, I will be where I belong. This is a just a small pitstop.

I am inevitable.

Trust me.
