Harpin’ On With Harper, Backstage at Climax Control #420, Phoenix, Arizona
Sunday the 16th of March 2025, 23:00pm

*on camera, start vlog, promo part one*

It was late Sunday night at Climax Control #420 and Harper is sitting on a crate backstage, still sweaty from her Internet Contenders Match against Alicia and Crystal, the young wrestler has a big grin on her face as she starts her vlog.

”Before tonight, I was wondering what I’d have to do to get a rematch with Bella, short of pulling a trick out of Jessie’s playbook of course.” Harper commented as she ran a hand through her wavy, dirty blonde hair. ”As it turned out? I only had to wait two weeks and win a contenders match! I bet everyone expected either Alicia or Crystal to win the Triple Threat Match tonight but instead?

My name is not only on the Blaze of Glory card AND opening the show but Alicia and Crystal? They are nowhere to be seen!”
Harper added with a grin as she brushed some hair out of her eyes. ”Granted the Elimination Chamber Match probably isn’t helping there considering that six Bombshells they could’ve faced are in that match instead but after the hell Alicia put me through last year? Can you say karma?”

Anyway.

”it is a bit of a bitch, ain’t it? Anyway, with that win I’m entering second Supercard of the year with a rematch with Bella in my sights! And one thing I focussed way too much on the first time around was the past so consider this the last time I’m gonna mention it!”  Harper added with a determined look on her face. ”Bella, you’re a hell of a competitor and you showed that when you dethroned Aleesha in your rematch with her at Inception VI but I’m back for round two and I’m determined to see that same scenario play out against you!

Irony can a be sweet mistress, can’t it?”
Harper asked with a grin on her face. ”There is one piece of history I will bring up though, twelve years ago, when I was eight years old, my cousin Jessie won her first singles title at Blaze of Glory II! And now, twelve years later? I aim to repeat history by repeating Jessie’s feat! But hey, at least there’s no Team Erick BS to get in our way, right?”

Harper shakes her head.

”Of course, the Internet Titles weren’t even a thing back then, but who’s counting? Not me, the only thing I’m counting is on myself to get the job done in two weeks’ time!” Harper added as she folded her arms. ”I said that I was out to make history as the youngest ever Bombshell Internet Champion and come Blaze of Glory? I fully intend to make good on that promise.

As the lyrics to one of my favourite songs go: “I’ll Touch he Sun”, question is, will I go down in a Blaze of Glory in the process?”
Harper asked before shaking her head. ”Not if I can help it!”

Harper’s Hotel Room, Phoenix, Arizona
Monday the 17th of March 2025, 10:00am

It was the morning after the Go Home Show for Blaze of Glory XII and Harper is laying on her bed in her hotel room just staring at the ceiling with her hands behind her head, clearly deep in thought.

”Last cycle I was only added to the Inception VI Card thanks to Seleana signing a new contract.” Harper muttered to herself as she thought back to that night before shaking her head. ”This time around? I beat two Hall of Famers to earn my spot and I’m challenging for the Bombshell Internet Title in the opener! Bella beat me to retain her title in her first defence a few weeks ago but in Tucson? I get a chance to turn that around.”

Harper’s train of thought was interrupted by a knock at the door and she got up and answered, her manager Joshua Acquin was standing there. “Morning Harper, ready for breakfast?” Josh greeted her and Harper started playing with her messy hair. “Or did you just wake up?”

”I’ve been up for the past hour, just haven’t gotten out of bed because I was thinking about my rematch with Bella.” Harper admitted as she shook her head and Josh nodded in understanding. ”So, how’s Jessie taking how Wresttleleague ended?”

“Not well, she thinks the ref made the wrong call and insists that Marisol was tapping before the three count.” Joshua responded as he shook his head. “She still has one match left against Molly Hatchet but you know how she gets when Jessie feels she’s been wronged.”

”I’ve been told that I got my stubborn streak from Jessie and Wresttleleague has me agreeing with them.” Harper sighed as she shook her head. ”Anyway, my match with Bella is going to be my focus for the next two weeks, and I’m sure Cassie’s focus is going to be on the Main Event!” Harper added before pausing she thought about something. ”How is you being Cassie’s manager going to work when she’s in the chamber? I know you’ve been hands off with us since you became our manager but there’s still a steel chamber between you and her?”

“I’ll give her my guidance but even if I got as involved as Brooke does? There’s going to be an army of referees there ready to kick me out if I do interfere.” Josh explained and Harper nodded as she sat down at her computer. “But that’s a conversation for me and Cassie, what you need to think about is the rematch.”

”I’ve been thinking about it since I won the contenders match last night, hell I filmed my first vlog whilst I was at Climax Control.” Harper responded as she folded her arms. ”Two things are running through my head going into this: one, I’m not focussing as much on the past as I did in my first title match against Bella, two: I won the first match against Bella a year ago, Bella won the rematch and I want to win the tiebreaker and win my first title in SCW.”

“If nothing else you proved in the second match that you and Bella create magic together as opponents.” Josh nodded in agreement and Harper grinned a bit at that. “And you do have a good track record of winning toe breakers, your match against Bobbie at High Stakes for example.”

”At least this time I’m not fighting to put my opponent in a baby suit, and I just realized how strangely that match stipulation has aged since Bobbie got pregnant recently.” Harper commented with a chuckle and Josh had a bit of a laugh at that. ”And yeah, I’m happy for Bobbie and all but you gotta admit, Cassie had a point about how that just further complicated the already convoluted qualification process for the women’s Chamber match.”

“I can’t even fault Cassie for her post match comments, at that point only Bobbie knew about the pregnancy as far as the SCW roster is concerned.”  Josh admitted as he shook his head and Harper nodded in agreement. “Any thoughts?”

”Aside from “Jessie was damn lucky that she didn’t get pregnant until after she let her SCW Contract expire”? Not a lot.” Harper shrugged her shoulders. ”Though I am getting hungry.”

“Good thing too, breakfast is on me.” Joshua responded before he led his charge out of the hotel room. “And don’t worry, with my help you will be the youngest ever Bombshell Internet Champion heading into the next cycle, wherever it takes place.”

”Did you forget about the whole “jinxing me before an Internet Title Match” incident that happened before my first title match against Bella?” Harper protested as she glanced up at her manager. ”Because last I checked? I didn’t dethrone Bella on that night.”

“I know, but this didn’t happen on the same night, we’re not even in the right Arizonan city.” Josh reminded Harper and she nodded once she realized that he had a point. “And don’t worry, I’ll try to avoid jinxing you this time.”

”Careful.” Harper teased him as they walked towards the elevator. ”You might end up jinxing yourself about not jinxing me!” Harper added before they headed to the elevator.

Harpin On With Harper, On a Flight Home To Las Vegas
Monday the 17th of March 2025, 15:00pm

*on camera, start vlog, promo part two*

We cut to Harper in her plane seat as she, Josh and Cassie are flying back to Las Vegas following the Go Home show for Blaze of Glory XII, the young wrestler clearly has a bit on her mind.

”So, just to get the obvious out of the way, I’m trying to keep this vlog quiet because, well……….” Harper panned the camera over to show Josh and Cassie asleep in their seats next to hers. ”I don’t want to disturb their beauty sleep and as for the other thing? My phone’s on Airplane Mode and I won’t be uploading this vlog until I’m back in Las Vegas.

So why film while I’m on a flight that’ll take just over an hour? Why not?”
Harper asked rhetorically before shifting her weight. ”I know I have a lot on my mind heading into the title rematch with Bella at Blaze of Glory and I figured why not get those thoughts out there while they’re still in my mind? So, here I am, about 45 Minutes away from Las Vegas getting ready to cut my second promo while in the air, hope the jet lag is worth it at least!”

Harper shakes her head.

”So yeah, you guys know the story heading into the match by now, one year ago I won the first match between me and Bella, two weeks ago Bella retained the title in her first defence against me.” Harper stated as she rested her head upon the palm of her hand. ”However I do have a good track record of winning the tie breaker and I hope to keep that up at Blaze of Glory! I know Bella’s a hell of a wrestler and fought tooth and nail to win the title not just once but twice!

But you know who’s worked just as hard to get back in this position? Yours truly!”
Harper added as she brushed some hair over her shoulder. ”So in short? This match with come down to who wants the title more: the champion who’s determined to make up for her lacklustre first reign, as far as length is concerned that is, or the twenty year old Bombshell who’s out to make history by becoming the youngest ever Bombshell Internet Champion!”

*end vlog*

Jessie’s Home, Las Vegas, Nevada
Tuesday the 18th of March 2025, 14:00pm

It was the day after the second vlog and Harper is visiting Jessie at her home in Las Vegas though the veteran Bombshell isn’t in the best of moods.

”You’ll forgive me for not being in a great mood Harp.” Jessie stated as she walked through the house with Harper behind her. ”And I trust that Josh explained why.”

”Yeah, I asked him about it when we were still in Phoenix.” Harper commented with a nod as she folded her arms. ”So I’m not going to dwell on it, but I am going to come to you for advice ahead of the title match against Bella.”

”Well, you’ve already seen the end result of dwelling too much on your past with Bella, otherwise I’d be talking to the Bombshell Internet Champion heading into her first defence.” Jessie responded as she turned to Harper. ”But that aside? How are you going to go about this differently?”

”Basically trying to correct where I went wrong in my first rematch with Bella.” Harper sighed as she thought back to the match. ”I took Bella to the limit in round one but I didn’t get the job done, this time around? I’m walking out the Bombshell Internet Champion! And I can already hear you saying “it’s not going to be that easy”.”

”Am I really that predictable? Maybe me being a mother has made me gone soft.” Jessie grunted before shaking her head. ”That aside, Bella was one of several wrestlers I’m disappointed that I never got a chance to wrestle, her mother Laura was the closest I got.” Jessie added as she shook her head. ”And even then I only wrestled her twice when I was the Bombshell Roulette Champion, you fought Laura in her retirement match at that year’s High Stakes so you know how tough the individual members of her family are.”

”Laura was a good intro to how tough the competition is at the SCW PPV level, and that wasn’t even a championship match.” Harper nodded in agreement as she looked to the side. ”My matches against Mercedes and Bobbie helped reinforce that fact but after waiting just over two years? I’m ready to win my first title.”

”I didn’t have to wait that long to win my first title, even less time if you remember that my Tag Team Title Reign with Becky “Ragdoll” Jones a few months prior, but I know the feeling.” Jessie nodded in understanding before motioning towards the stairs to the home gym. ”And I will help you prepare for the match! In the meantime, you want to get some reps in the home gym?”

”Was hoping you’d say that.” Harper responded with a grin before following Jessie down to the home gym.

Harpin’ On With Harper, Jessie’s Home Gym, Las Vegas, Nevada
Tuesday the 18th of March 2025, 15:00pm

*on camera, start vlog, final promo part*

As Harper gets ready for her final vlog of the first week the future challenger for the Bombshell Internet Championship has a determined look on her face.

”Will the third time be the charm at Blaze of Glory? Will I win my first title and defeat Bella in the opening match at Blaze of Glory?”  Harper asked as she paced around the ring. ”Personally? I believe My Time Has Come! Bella is a tough opponent sure but so am I and that title is within my grasp, so what’s stopping me from dethroning Bella?

Simple, me repeating the mistakes I made in my first match against her.”
Harper stated as she brushed some hair over her shoulder. ”I know that’s a lot easier said than done but I won’t back down from this match or the challenge ahead.”

Nope.

”So yeah, this match is going to be tough but I am confident that I will earn my first title in SCW and my first title since my rookie year.” Harper added as she leaned on the ring ropes. ”And yeah, I know where I went wrong in my first match against you Bella and I know how to correct them, in other words Bella? I won’t let you get the better of me again!”

It's that simple.

”I hope you were watching my match against Alicia and Crystal closely Bella because you’d have seen what I can do against Bombshells who’ve beaten me in the past!” Harper added as she grinned broadly. ”Harper Mason: Bombshell Internet Champion! It has a nice ring to it doesn’t it? And I’m sure you feel the same about “Bella Madison: Bombshell Internet Champion” Bella but honestly? My title reign is coming soon!”

And with that Harper decided to wrap things up.

”How soon? How about Blaze of Glory XII in two weeks’ time in Tucson, Arizona? Sound good to you Bella? No?” Harper added as she flipped some hair over her shoulder. ”Sorry but you don’t always get what you want and in this case? It’s a title reign that lasts past the second defence! I will win my first title in SCW, I will be the youngest ever Bombshell Internet Champion and I will celebrate the night away in Tucson! Because the world needs a new Bombshell Internet Champion and hero and her name is “The Slaytanic Avenger” Harper Mason!”

Harper turned off her camera as the scene fades.

~*~Contender Made. Frustrations Founded.~*~

The cameras cut to the backstage area of Climax Control, where Bella Madison walks with a purposeful stride, the SCW Bombshell Internet Championship slung over her shoulder. The glimmer of the title reflects off the harsh overhead lights as she moves through the corridor, her expression unreadable. That is, until she is stopped in her tracks by SCW’s resident interviewer, Pussy Willow, microphone in hand and a knowing look on her face.

"Bella," Pussy Willow begins, stepping into frame. "Just moments ago, we witnessed Harper Mason shock the world by defeating two former SCW Bombshell World Champions, Crystal Zdunich and Alicia Lukas, to become the number one contender to your SCW Bombshell Internet Championship at Blaze of Glory XIV. After already defending your title against Harper once, how are you feeling about having to face her again?"

Bella lets out a sharp, breathy chuckle before tilting her head slightly, eyes flashing with something between amusement and venom. "How do I feel, Pussy? I feel entertained. I feel... impressed, actually." She shifts the title on her shoulder, letting her fingers run across the faceplate before locking eyes with the interviewer again. "Because for once, Harper Mason did something worth talking about. She stepped into that ring and outlasted two former world champions. She defied the odds. She did what some thought she couldn't. And you know what? I respect that."

Bella lets that moment linger before her smirk twists into something darker, more condescending. "But let’s be real here. Let’s call a spade a spade. Crystal Zdunich hasn’t been ‘that girl’ in a long, long time, and Alicia Lukas? She’s had her days, but lately? She’s been a shadow of what she used to be. So Harper getting this win? Sure, it's impressive—but it’s not a miracle. It’s not a revelation. It’s a reminder that sometimes, even the blind squirrel finds a nut."

Pussy Willow raises an eyebrow but doesn’t interrupt as Bella adjusts the title again, her grip tightening. "Harper, congratulations. You won. You earned your shot. But now? Now comes the part where reality sets in. Now comes the part where you realize that just because you earned this opportunity, doesn't mean you're ready for it. Because you and I? We’ve been down this road before. We stood in that ring, face to face, and you brought everything you had. And it wasn’t enough."

Bella leans in slightly, her voice dropping into a dangerous whisper before rising again. "I was you once, Harper. I was the hungry one. The one who kept getting opportunities, kept coming this close, only to be reminded that I wasn’t there yet. But you see, I didn’t let that stop me. I didn’t crumble under the weight of failure—I let it forge me into the champion I am today. And now? Now I’m the one at the top looking down, watching you desperately try to climb back up just to get knocked back down again."

Bella steps back, her smirk returning as she tilts her head. "So, Harper, I hope you’ve been training harder than ever. I hope you’re ready to bring a fight unlike anything you’ve ever brought before. Because at Blaze of Glory XIV, it won’t be enough to just ‘surprise’ people. You’re gonna have to survive me. And sweetheart? I don’t plan on making that easy for you."

With that, Bella slings the SCW Bombshell Internet Championship back into place on her shoulder and flashes a smirk at Pussy Willow before walking off, leaving the interviewer speechless as the camera lingers on her retreating form.

As soon as the cameras cut and Bella rounds the corner backstage, she hears the excited squeal of "MAMA!" before feeling the tiny but powerful impact of her daughter running into her legs. A genuine smile replaces the sharp smirk she wore just moments ago as she immediately bends down, scooping up Máire into her arms.

"Hey, my little monkey," Bella coos, pressing a loving kiss to her daughter's forehead as Máire giggles, wrapping her arms around Bella’s neck.

Mal, standing just a few steps away, watches the scene with an amused yet knowing expression. "That was pretty intense," he remarks, crossing his arms. "You okay?"

Bella exhales slowly, shifting Máire in her arms as she rolls her shoulders, some of the tension still lingering. "I mean, yeah… but also, no," she admits. "I’m not mad that Harper won—she fought her ass off. But damn it, Mal, I really wanted it to be Alicia. I wanted something different, a fresh challenge. Instead, I feel like I’m running in circles, facing the same damn opponent again."

Mal steps closer, placing a reassuring hand on her back. "Bells, I get it. You want to test yourself against different people, prove you're the best against the best. But don’t let that frustration cloud your focus. Because Harper? She just shocked a lot of people tonight. She found a way to win when no one expected her to."

Bella exhales through her nose, her jaw tightening. "I know, I know. And I’m not gonna overlook her. But I’m supposed to be the pinnacle of this division, Mal. The one leading the charge. And yet, here I am, playing gatekeeper to the same damn challenger. It’s exhausting."

Mal’s hand moves from her back to her shoulder, his grip firm yet gentle. "Then don’t look at it like that. Look at it like this—Harper thinks she’s got a shot now. She thinks this is her time. You need to remind her why you’re still the champion. You wanted Alicia? Fine. But Harper took that away. And now, you make sure she regrets it."

Bella looks at him for a long moment before nodding, a smirk returning to her face. "You’re right," she says, shifting Máire slightly before turning her gaze to her daughter. "Guess Mama’s got some unfinished business to handle, huh?"

Máire, completely unaware of the intensity of the moment, simply giggles and claps her hands. "Mama win!"

Bella laughs, kissing her daughter’s cheek. "Damn right, baby girl."

Mal grins. "That’s my girl."

With that, the tension in Bella’s shoulders eases, but the fire in her eyes remains. Blaze of Glory XIV was coming—and Harper Mason was about to learn the hard way that Bella Madison wasn’t a champion who let history repeat itself.

~*~Revised “Tin Can”~*~

The soft hum of an old classic rock playlist filled the barn-turned-gym as Bella and Malachi set down the last piece of equipment in its temporary—yet inevitably not final—resting place. Bella took a step back, hands on her hips, and beamed as she looked around. The once-empty space of the rather huge polebarn that had now been temporarily named “Tin Can Deux” but of course that name was just a temporary placeholder until they had finished fully transforming it, with racks of weights neatly lining one side, treadmills and cardio machines set up along the other, and in the very heart of it all—a pristine, four-sided wrestling ring, its ropes freshly tightened and ready for battle.

"I still can’t believe this is ours," Bella mused, turning to Mal with an excited glint in her eyes.

Malachi smirked, wiping a bit of dust off his hands. "I mean, technically, it’s a work in progress. We both know half this stuff is gonna get shuffled around a dozen times before you’re happy with it."

Bella gasped in exaggerated offense. "Excuse me, I am not the one who is going to change my mind every five seconds about where things should go!"

Mal raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? You’ve already moved the kettlebells three times, Bells."

"Okay, but that’s because I keep thinking of a better spot for them!"

"And yet, somehow, they always end up back where they started."

Bella playfully shoved him, and Mal let out a dramatic grunt as if she had just hit him with a full-force lariat. "You are so annoying!" she huffed, but the grin on her face betrayed her words.

"And yet, you love me," Mal teased, catching her around the waist and pulling her close.

Bella looped her arms around his neck, swaying slightly with him in the middle of their half-finished gym. "Yeah, yeah, I do," she admitted, pressing a quick kiss to his lips before pulling back with a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Which is why I think, as a birthday gift, you should let your lovely, amazing, thoughtful wife kick your ass in that ring right there."

Mal scoffed, laughing as he let his hands slide down to rest at her hips. "Babe, my birthday isn’t until Sunday, and somehow I don’t think getting my ass kicked is the traditional way to celebrate."

"It could be!" she chirped. "Besides, our dating anniversary is right around the corner, too. Six whole years of me tolerating your ass. That should earn me a round in the ring, at least."

Mal chuckled. "Tolerating me? That’s rich coming from the woman who starts full-blown debates at two in the morning over the best Disney villain."

Bella pointed at him with full conviction. "Because it’s important, Malachi!"

Malachi couldn’t help but laugh at his wife, "You need help."

"I need a match in that ring."

Mal rolled his eyes but smirked as he released her, taking a step toward the ring. "Fine, fine. But just know that I’m not gonna go easy on you just ‘cause I love you."

Bella followed right behind him, stretching her arms overhead with a confident grin. "Oh, sweetheart, I’d be insulted if you did. But I’ll make ya a deal, the winner gets to rename this place. Tin Can Deux just...isn’t cutting it."

Mal stops at ringside, holding the ropes and looks at her, “It’s really not. But why winner? Couldn’t we just make my birthday present be me naming it?

Do you really think I’d make it that easy?” Bella says, raising her eyebrows at him and Mal just shakes his head.

No, obviously not.

As they climbed into the ring, the excitement of the moment filled the air between them. The gym was theirs, built with hard work and determination—but more than that, it was another step in their journey together. And for Bella, there was no better way to celebrate than by getting into the ring with the person who had always pushed her to be her best.

...a confident grin. "
Good. Because once again, I’d be insulted if you did."

As they climbed into the ring, Bella bounced lightly on the balls of her feet, shaking out her limbs. Mal mirrored her, rolling his shoulders as he sized her up with a playful smirk.

"
You ready for this, champ?" he teased, raising an eyebrow.

Bella smirked right back, dropping into a stance. "
You tell me, birthday boy."

With that, they locked up in the center of the ring, laughter mixing with the echoing sounds of their training session—one more step in the evolution of their shared passion, in the heart of the gym they built together.

~*~Rules of Engagement: Second Chances come few and far between~*~

The air inside "The Office" was thick with anticipation, the echoes of training still lingering in the gym. Bella sat on the edge of the ring, one arm draped over the middle rope as she leaned back, completely at ease. The SCW Bombshell Internet Championship hung just a few feet away, gleaming under the gym lights—a tangible reminder of what she had fought for and what she had no intention of giving up.

Her lips curled into a smirk as she ran a hand through her damp hair. "Harper, Harper, Harper…" she sighed, shaking her head. "Back in my world, there's an unspoken rule: you get one shot, and if you blow it, you get in line like everybody else. But somehow, you managed to finesse yourself into another opportunity. You must really love the feeling of coming up short against me."

Bella leaned forward slightly, her fingers tapping against the middle rope. "Let’s take a short trip down memory lane, shall we? You and I, we’ve been in this ring together before. Just a few short weeks ago to be exact! And when that bell rang, guess who walked away the winner? That’s right—me. It wasn’t luck, it wasn’t a fluke, and it sure as hell wasn’t me getting caught by surprise. It was me being better. Smarter. Stronger."

Her blue eyes flicked to the championship before returning to the camera. "But here you are, back for more, thinking that the second chance is gonna be the charm. You want this?" She reached up, brushing her fingers along the championship belt. "You want to take this from me? Then you better come at me like your life depends on it. Because I refuse to be caught slipping. I refuse to be a stepping stone for you or anyone else."

She exhaled sharply, gripping the rope tighter. "Crystal let you walk all over her. Alicia got caught off guard. But me? I see you coming, Harper. I know exactly what you're about to do. You’re gonna throw everything at me, pull out every dirty little trick you’ve got, hoping that maybe, just maybe, I’ll break. That I’ll crack under the pressure. But here’s the thing—you don’t intimidate me. You don’t shake me. You don’t scare me."

Bella leaned back again, her smirk widening. "I earned this championship. I bled for it. I fought for it. And you think I’m just gonna let you waltz in and take it from me? Nah, sweetheart. Not a damn chance. I don’t care what you bring to the table—I’ll flip the damn thing over if I have to. You wanna go to war? Good. Because I’ve already got my armor on. And I’ll make damn sure that this little second chance of yours ends the same way as the first—with you flat on your back, staring up at the lights, wondering where the hell it all went wrong."

She stood up, grabbing the championship and slinging it over her shoulder. "This isn’t just a title to me, Harper. This is validation. This is proof of everything I’ve fought for, everything I’ve earned. And I’ll be damned if I let you take it away from me."

The SCW Bombshell Internet Championship hangs proudly on the top rope, swaying slightly as Bella leans against the middle rope, her fingers tapping rhythmically against the steel cable. She sits on the edge of the ring, one leg dangling while the other rests on the apron. Her expression is unreadable—calm, yet carrying the sharp edge of someone who knows exactly what’s at stake.

Bella tilts her head, her voice cool but laced with an undeniable fire.

"Harper, I need you to listen real close, because I want there to be zero confusion when I say this—you're not taking my championship. Not now. Not ever."

She exhales, shaking her head before glancing at the title.

"It may sound hypocritical of me but right now...I don’t do second chances. You had your shot before, and just like then, this one will end with you flat on your back, staring up at the lights, wondering what the hell went wrong. You like to tell yourself that you’re this unstoppable force, but let’s be real—you're not some prodigy. You’re not the future. You’re just another entitled brat who thinks the world owes her something."

Her lips curve into a smirk.

"See, the problem with you, Harper, is that you’re trying to make up for lost time. You want to pretend like your failures don’t exist, like your loss to me didn’t happen. But the thing is, I don’t forget. And I sure as hell don’t forgive. The last time we stood across from each other, you weren’t good enough then, and you’re not good enough now. You think just because you’ve got a little more experience under your belt that things are gonna magically change? Nah. That’s not how this works."

Bella’s smirk fades as she grips the ropes tighter, her body language shifting.

"Let’s talk about history, Harper, because I know you love rewriting it to fit whatever delusion you’re living in this week. You walk around acting like you’re some kind of world-beater, but the truth? The truth is, in the short career that you have had, every time you’ve had the chance to step up, to prove yourself, you’ve come up short. You’re not the one making history, sweetheart—I am. And unlike Alicia, I won’t get caught off guard. Unlike Crystal, I’m not just gonna lay back and take it. I earned this championship, the fans truly believed in me and ...and I’m damn sure not letting some desperate little girl with an inferiority complex take it from me."

Bella reaches up, lightly tapping the championship where it hangs on the ropes, her eyes narrowing.

"You think I don’t know what you’re gonna do? You’re gonna throw everything you have at me. You’re gonna pull out every dirty trick, every shortcut, every desperate move in your playbook because you know, deep down, that it’s the only chance you have. And guess what? I welcome it. Because I can take it. I can go as far as you wanna go, and then I’ll take it even further. That’s the difference between us, Harper—you need this to prove yourself, but I? I don’t have to prove a damn thing. I am the standard. I am the measuring stick. And after I beat you—again—you’re just gonna be another name on the list of people who thought they could hang

With one last smirk, Bella stepped through the ropes, hopping down from the apron. "See you soon, sweetheart. Try not to disappoint me… again."

It’s officially the week before Blaze of Glory XII and Harper’s upcoming title match against Bella Madison, the twenty year old wrestler clearly has a lot on her mind as she sits in front of her laptop to record her first vlog.

”It’s funny you know? Before I earned my first title shot of my career a year ago against Bobbie, I had to beat Bella in a match first, this time? The roles are kinda reversed.” Harper commented as she thought back to her first match against Bella. ”And I know I said last week that I was done dwelling on the past after I lost the rematch to Bella two weeks ago but I can’t help but think: will next Sunday’s title match be the one?

By which I of course mean: will it be the one where I finally win my first title in SCW?”
Harper asked rhetorically as she shook her head. ”Since I signed with SCW everyone has been expecting me to basically be a younger, slightly taller Jessie, in that they thought I was going to be demanding title matches left right and centre much like Jessie did back in her youth, in reality? I got accused of doing that one time, incidentally right after I lost to Bobbie at My Bloody Valentine II, and I had to clarify that I was daydreaming about what could’ve been rather than trying to jump ahead of Bella after she earned a Roulette Title shot that same night but that didn’t stop the writers of the match preview from trying to besmirch my name!”

Harper lets out a deep breath.

”Between that and the Handicap Match Victoria put me in after Into the Void? I have a lot that I’m still angry about from my first full year as an SCW Bombshell, don’t I?” Harper asked rhetorically as she sighed before shaking her head. ”But my point is? There is one thing that I will emulate from Jessie’s SCW Career and that’s winning my first title in SCW at Blaze of Glory! Honestly the only thing that could make this perfect is if it happened at last year’s Blaze of Glory rather than this year’s  since I would’ve won it at my first Blaze of Glory instead of my second.

Though on the other hand? I was still in my rebuilding phase at last year’s Blaze of Glory so that wouldn’t have really fit either!”
Harper added as she brushed some year hair over her shoulder. ”And let’s make one thing clear Bella: I know you’re a tough bitch, I know you can wrestle your ass off and I know we can put on great matches together, but can I beat you? Only one way to find out and that’s to wait another week for the opening match to this year’s Blaze of Glory!”

It’s officially the week of Blaze of Glory XII and Harper’s second rematch against Bella for the Bombshell Internet Championship and the twenty year old is meeting with her older cousin and SCW legend Jessie.

”It never gets easier, does it?” Harper asked after letting out a deep breath and sitting at the kitchen table opposite Jessie who raised an eyebrow at her question. ”Preparing for a title match I mean, doesn’t matter if it’s in SCW or not, I’ve definitely felt the pressure heading into my rematch with Bella.”

”To be honest Harp? It depends on when the match is taking place.” Jessie explained as she leaned back in her chair. ”Title matches at PPVs like yours against Bella are easier on paper because you have that two week period to prepare yourself, physically and mentally, but the same goes for your opponent, especially if it’s a multiperson match like the Chambers, and it’s easy for the doubt to creep in as the date draws near.” Jessie elaborated and Harper nodded in understanding. ”At least if your defending or challenging on Climax Control you can just wait until the end of the week and hope for the best.”

”The thing is? Both me and Bella know that all too well, I’ve challenged for the Bombshell Roulette Title on both PPV and at Climax Control while the only differences here are that I’m facing Bella within a few weeks of my first match for the Bombshell Internet Title and the fact that I’m facing the same woman this time around.” Harper pointed out that fact and Jessie nodded in agreement. ”Bella was a perennial challenger for years before she finally won her first singles title, I’m sure she would’ve challenged you in your last reign if not for her pregnancy at the time.”

”I’m still disappointed that we never got that one on one match, don’t get me wrong, her mom’s a hell of a talent but I always felt that me and Bella could’ve created magic together as opponents.” Jessie commented as she shook her head and Harper nodded in understanding. ”Maybe I’ll see if she’s down once CC 500 rolls around but until then? You have a title match to worry about.”

”Hey, if nothing else you can wrestle vicariously through me on Sunday I guess.” Harper joked and Jessie shook her head with a chuckle. ”Anyway, any tips for the title match and dealing with nerves?”

”Look, nerves are natural heading into any match, especially title matches, if you’re calm ahead of a match? It might be time to call it a career and you’re way too young to do that willingly.” Jessie responded simply and Harper nodded as she got the idea. ”As for the match? Bella’s arguably just as athletic as you and she’s second generation, the only way we could be second generation is if I was actually your mother and I’m fifteen years older than you, do I even need to point out the many ways that wouldn’t work?”

”No, you would’ve had to be a preteen at most and that’s just flat out impossible! To say nothing of the gross implications that carries.” Harper responded with a shudder and Jessie quickly nodded in agreement. ”But I get you’re your saying, there’s a lot of similarities between me and Bella and it would arguably come down too who wants it more.”

”As has practically every other defence in wrestling history, including mine.” Jessie responded as she shook her head. ”On one hand? You have Bella, fresh of her first defence against you, doesn’t want a repeat of her first reign for obvious reasons and arguably wants the win to help solidify the reign as one that’ll last for a good while, you? You’ve been chasing your first title in SCW for just over a year now, Cassie’s been chasing hers since her debut don’t know about you but both of you ending the night as champs? Sounds pretty sweet to me.”

”Easier said than done, especially in Cassie’s case! I only have one opponent to worry about, she has five including the top champ!” Harper commented as she shook her head and Jessie nodded in agreement. ”At the very least Cassie won’t have to deal with all of her opponents at once, at first at least.”

”Both you and Cass have tough matches any way you slice it, it’s just that Cassie arguably has the tougher match.” Jessie nodded in agreement before standing up. ”I won’t be able to train you as much today because April has a health checkup later but I can at least help you where I can.”

”Yeah, you mentioned that when I called ahead but honestly Jess?” Harper responded as she stood up. ”I’ll take any training I can get.” Harper added before she followed Jessie down to the basement home gym.

We cut to the inside of the ring at Jessie’s home gym where Harper is sitting on the middle turnbuckle with her arms crossed, ready for the second vlog.

”What does it take to prove yourself as a champion in SCW?” Harper asked as she cracks her neck a bit. ”The reason I’m asking this is because there doesn’t really seem to be a consensus, some say it’s the quality of your challengers, others say it’s how often you put the belt on the line! Now obviously Bella your very much at the mercy of the bosses when it comes to this stuff unless someone specifically sets their sights on your title.

But I guess I’ll be answering that question myself after I beat you for the title on Sunday, won’t I?”
Harper asked rhetorically before getting off the turnbuckle and walking towards the camera. ”On one hand? Yeah, I’ve been a champion before, and aside from my first title which I never got to defend because the fed folded not long after I won the thing I’ve faced my fair share of challengers in the past, but will Sunday night be when I win my first title in SCW and do it all over again?”

Survey says?

”If you ask me? The answers yes and I’m sure you have your own answer to that question Bella.” Harper added as she brushed some hair over her shoulder. ”I know how tough the championship scene here in SCW is, so has anyone who’s had more than one match here I guess, and the question is: can I make my mark in the SCW Title history by winning the Internet Title?

If I wasn’t sure about winning the title I wouldn’t be here, simple.”
Harper added as she flipped some hair over her shoulder. ”I’m not denying that we had a great match when we first clashed for your Internet Title a few weeks ago Bella but at the same time? I’m not concerned about putting on a show for the fans this time around, if anything, that’s a secondary objective, but as for my primary objective? I thought I’d make that clear from the offset but it’s to win my first title in SCW!”

Harper grins broadly.

”So, will the second time be the charm? Will I win the title on my second attempt? On one hand I gave a proven track record of winning tie breakers, see: my match against Bobbie at last year’s High Stakes, but can I make lightning strike twice?” Harper asked as she folded her arms. ”Because that match I just mentioned had a stipulation that, depending on how you look at it, either aged like fine wine or like milk since Bobbie got pregnant a couple of months after her own stipulation forced her to wear baby wear at the following Climax Control.

This time around? A title’s on the line and at least the loser of the match will get to enter the next Climax Control with some dignity!”
Harper added as she flipped some hair over her shoulder. ”But it’s the title that I want and I’m going to do whatever it takes to walk out of Tucson, Arizona the new Bombshell Internet Champion!”

Josh’s Gym, Las Vegas, Nevada
Wednesday the 26th of March 2025, 11:00am

It’s now the middle of the week and we see Harper doing some weight lifting in Josh’s gym to help her prepare for her upcoming match with Josh standing beside her.

“I’ve been reviewing the tapes of your first rematch with Bella as you asked.” Josh commented and Harper glanced up at him while working with the hand weight. “I’m not sure how she reversed the Encore Set into the Neuro Mutilation mid-air, your technique on the move was as flawless as ever.”

”I’ve been doing that move since I graduated from Hero Academy two years ago Josh, I’d hope that I’ve got the technique of “Torture Rack Spun Out Into a Flatliner” down to a science by now.” Harper sighed as she set the weight down on the bench beside her and Josh nodded. ”Honestly? I think it just came down to me underestimating just how beaten Bella was at that time, if I had known that she still had another in her to pull off a Snapmare Driver in the middle of my finisher I would’ve tried something else, like the Breakdown, Sun//Eater or hell, even the Fragile Wings.”

“And any of those moves could’ve gone wrong and you’d still have lost the match.” Josh responded with a nod as he leaned against another piece of gym equipment. “For all we know? Bella’s reversal could’ve been pure adrenaline, you two had been going at it for a while and you were both tired.”

”Yeah I know, but even after watching the tapes back I couldn’t figure out where I went wrong.” Harper sighed as she ran a hand through her hair. ”At that point? I thought I had the match and title in the bag, hell you’ve been in that position yourself Josh, you know how it’s like!”

“Indeed I have, asking yourself questions like that after such a close loss is natural.” Josh assured Harper and she grinned in response. “All that matters in the end is how you pick yourself back up again.”

”Something I’ve been doing since I first entered SCW’s title scene last February.” Harper sighed as she leaned back. ”But all the same? I’m determined to make Blaze of Glory XII my night!”

“Good, and I’ll be there to help you, until then, all you can do is train.” Josh added and Harper grinned as she resumed training.

*on camera, start vlog, final promo part*

We cut to Harper in her loft after a hard day’s worth of training ready for her final vlog against Bella and the rematch for the title.

”The time for any remaining doubt heading into this match is almost over Bella, and if I have my way? This will be the last Vlog I film while the only title I own is the title that I won shortly before the fed folded.” Harper added as she showed the KCW TV Title on the mantlepiece behind her. ”And unlike that title? I plan on defending the Bombshell Internet Championship whenever possible! I know pledging to be a fighting champion after I win the belt is a bit of a cliché at this point.

But when have I been known to not keep my word?”
Harper asked before quickly shaking her head. ”And before any smart asses chime in? I was being hypothetical with that question, but you know what’s not hypothetical Bella?”

Guess.

”It’s the fact that, after we set the tone for the rest of the night by tearing the house down in the opener? I will be the new Bombshell Internet Champion!” Harper added with a determined grin on her face. ”I know I’m making it sound a lot easier than it really is, but I’ve been working hard to prepare for our second title rematch Bella and hey, maybe after I win the title we’ll do it again at Into the Void with the roles reversed.

But in any case? Say your goodbyes to your title Bella.”

It’s that simple.

”Why? Because after over a year at grinding away at it? I feel like I’m ready to take the next big leap and win my first title in SCW.” Harper added as she flipped some hair over her shoulder. ”And I’m sure you’ve said the same thing to yourself every time you stepped up for a title match of some kind but I’m not willing to wait around as long as you.”

And with that Harper decided to wrap things up.

”My time is now and I won’t be denied Bella.” Harper added as she leaned on the counter, ”Pretty much the only question left in my mind is how did you pull off that mid-air Neuro Mutilation when I was spinning you out for the Encore Set but at the end of the day? The past doesn’t matter, the future does and my future is as the new Bombshell Internet Champion because the world needs a new hero and her name is “The Slaytanic Avenger” Harper Mason! See you in the ring Bella, keep that title warm for me!”

Harper turned off the camera as the scene fades.

The soft glow of a single candle flickered atop the small cake set on the kitchen island. It was a quiet, intimate moment, just as Malachi had requested. This year, for his birthday, he didn’t want anything extravagant—just a small, simple gathering with his wife and daughter in their new home.

Bella stood next to him, smiling as she balanced their energetic daughter, Máire, on her hip. The little girl clapped her hands excitedly, her bright blue eyes locked onto the candle's flame.

“Alright, sweetheart,” Bella whispered to their daughter. “Help Daddy blow it out.”

Máire leaned forward, her tiny cheeks puffing out as she gave a determined blow, and with a little help from Mal, the flame extinguished. The room was filled with soft laughter, Mal shaking his head with an affectionate grin as Bella kissed his cheek.

“Happy Birthday, love,” she murmured, before turning her attention to their daughter. “Now, what do we say to Daddy?”

“Hoppy Birfday, Daddy!” Máire squealed, throwing her little arms around his neck.

Mal chuckled, hugging her tight before shifting his gaze to Bella, who was already stepping away. “Alright, baby girl, help Mommy with Daddy’s present.”

Máire wiggled out of Mal’s grasp and rushed over to the doorway, where an impressively large, neatly wrapped box was waiting. Bella crouched down, guiding their daughter’s small hands to help push it across the floor toward Mal.

“This was all her idea,” Bella teased. “She insisted that she be the one to deliver it.”

Mal laughed, watching as his little girl struggled but remained determined, her small hands pressing against the colorful wrapping paper. “Oh yeah? Did you pick out my present too, a stóirín?”

“Uh-huh!” Máire nodded vigorously. “Mommy help.”

Mal glanced at Bella with amusement before finally kneeling to unwrap the box. Before he could pull the paper completely away, the front door opened, and a wave of voices filled the house.

“Are we late, or did we make it just in time?” Alanah’s teasing voice rang out as she stepped in, carrying a tray of desserts. Behind her, Jack followed, wrangling their three kids inside. The moment the cousins spotted Máire, the room erupted into delighted squeals and laughter as they raced over to play.

“Perfect timing,” Bella said with a smirk, stepping aside to greet her sister-in-law. “He hasn’t even unwrapped his present yet.”

“Well, don’t let us stop you.” Alanah grinned, setting her tray down on the counter. “But just so you know, the real party has officially arrived.”

As Mal continued to open his gift, another round of arrivals came through the door. Bella’s family followed shortly after—her mother Laura, stepfather Nick, and younger brother Aaron. Laura immediately enveloped Mal in a warm hug, wishing him a happy birthday while Nick and Aaron gave their own greetings.

With everyone now gathered, the house buzzed with warmth and laughter, a true home filled with family and love. Mal glanced around, his heart swelling at the sight of everyone together, celebrating with him. It was exactly what he had wanted—a birthday surrounded by the people who meant the most to him.

As the evening carried on, conversation and laughter filled the house, but soon Laura cleared her throat, drawing everyone’s attention. “Since we’re all here, I have an announcement,” she said with a small smile. “I’ve decided to come out of retirement—temporarily—to be part of the Blast from the Past Tournament.”

A wave of surprise swept through the room, but no one seemed as taken aback as Bella. Her eyes widened, and she pressed her lips together, clearly not thrilled by the revelation.

After a few congratulations and murmured reactions, Bella quietly slipped away into the kitchen, with a quiet “Excuse me”, needing a moment. It wasn’t long before Laura followed, leaning against the counter with a knowing expression.

“You don’t look happy,” Laura observed, crossing her arms.

Bella exhaled sharply, setting down the glass she had been holding. “It’s not that I’m not happy, Mom. It’s just… you and Nick both put your bodies through hell for years. I know you’re still in great shape, but wrestling takes a toll.”

Laura smiled, reaching out to touch her daughter’s hand. “Sweetheart, I appreciate the concern, but when wrestling is in your blood, it’s hard to walk away completely. I’ve taken care of myself, and I’ve been treating my body with kindness. In fact one could say that I am in the best shape of my life since my PWSWF days. Besides, this new format for the tournament intrigued me, and I wanted to see what I could still do.”

Bella searched her mother’s face for any hesitation, but there was none—just the familiar fire and determination that had always been there.

“I just don’t want you getting hurt,” Bella admitted softly.

Laura squeezed her hand. “I know. But I also know that stepping in that ring again is something I need to do—for me. I promise, I’ll be careful.”

Bella sighed, nodding reluctantly. “Fine. Just do me a favor?”

“What’s that?” Laura chuckled.

“Win the damn thing this time?”

“Deal.” Laura smiled, reaching out to touch her daughter’s hand.

Bella’s fingers tightened around the glass. “I just don’t want you getting hurt,” she admitted softly. “But… I get it. Wrestling is in your blood.”

Laura squeezed her hand. “And it’s in yours, too. I see the same fire in you that I had in my prime. That I still have. You’ve got a fight ahead of you, Bella, and I know you’ll do whatever it takes.”

Bella swallowed, thinking of Harper. Of the war that was coming. She met her mother’s gaze, finding strength in the woman who had paved the way for her.

“I just don’t want to see you get seriously hurt and then dad and Aaron have to constantly push you around in a wheelchair,” Bella said.

Laura chuckled. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

With a small smirk, Bella shook her head before pulling her mother into a hug. She still had her reservations, but if there was one thing she knew for certain—it was that Laura Phoenix never did anything halfway. And neither did she.

Neither did her daughter.

~*~Quiet Resistance to Push to the Future~*~

As the quiet of the night settled in, Bella and Mal lay in their massive bedroom, the warmth of the blankets wrapped around them. The house, once filled with laughter and the chatter of family, had grown silent. Máire was tucked away in her room, fast asleep after an exciting day, leaving just the two of them in the dim glow of the bedside lamp.

Bella lay on her back, staring at the ceiling, her fingers absentmindedly tracing patterns against Mal’s arm. He had noticed the shift in her demeanor the moment the last of the guests had left. She had been confident and poised earlier, but now, in the stillness of the night, she was deep in thought.

“You’re thinking,” Mal murmured, his voice thick with sleep but laced with curiosity.

Bella let out a small huff of laughter. “I always think.”

“True,” he admitted, turning onto his side so he could look at her. “But this is different.”

She exhaled, rolling onto her side to face him. “It’s not doubt, exactly,” she started, hesitating. “I know I can beat Harper. I’ve done it before, and I’ll do it again. I refuse to let her take what I’ve earned. But sometimes… I feel like I could be even more.”

Mal studied her for a moment, reaching out to brush a strand of hair from her face. “What do you mean?”

Bella sighed. “Being the SCW Bombshell Internet Champion—it means something. It’s not just a title to me. I want to take it even further, make it matter in ways people haven’t before. I don’t want to just be a placeholder champion—I want to be one of the best. And I don’t just mean one of the best Internet Champions… I mean one of the best, period.”

Mal smirked. “You’re already on your way.”

“Maybe,” she said, her fingers absentmindedly brushing over his. “But I don’t want to get complacent. I refuse to be a champion that just coasts. Harper is going to come at me with everything she has, and I know she’s hoping that this time, she’ll succeed. But she won’t, because I won’t let her. And after I retain, I want to prove that this championship is as prestigious as any other.”

Mal let out a small chuckle. “So what I’m hearing is, you’re already planning for what’s next, before you’ve even finished with Harper.”

Bella smirked. “Always. But that does not mean I’m overlooking her either. But I need to get past her to take it to that next level.”

He shook his head with a laugh, then leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. “That is a wonderful mindset to have, mo ghrá. That’s why you’re gonna hold onto that title for a long time. You never stop pushing forward.”

Bella smiled, curling closer into his warmth. “Damn right.”

~*~Rules of Engagement: Don’t Be That Step Stool~*~

The streets of Tucson hum with life as the desert sun dips low, casting long shadows over the sidewalks. The warm breeze stirs the dust as Bella walks, her boots striking against the pavement with purpose. This city, like the wrestling business, is a mix of old and new—history written in the cracks of the buildings, while fresh faces rush in, eager to make their mark.

“You ever notice how the young and hungry always think they’re entitled to everything? They step into this business with fire in their bellies, full of piss and vinegar, thinking that’s all it takes to reach the top. I respect the drive, I do. I’ve been there. I’ve been the one looking at the champions and thinking, “That should be me.”

But there’s a difference between wanting something and actually earning it.”

She stops at a street corner, leaning against a weathered brick wall, arms crossed as she exhales.

“Harper Mason, you’ve got talent, I won’t deny that. You’re fast, you’re relentless, and you’ve got that chip on your shoulder that makes you dangerous. But the thing about being young and hungry is that you’re also reckless. Impulsive. You think your speed and raw talent are enough to carry you past me? That’s where you’re wrong.

You see, I know what it’s like to want something so badly it keeps you up at night. I know the sting of frustration when things don’t go my way. I also know what it means to be patient. To put in the work, to take the losses, to learn from every single mistake and come back stronger.”

She steps forward, walking past a neon-lit window where the reflection of her past stares back at her—a younger Bella, eager and reckless, thinking passion alone was enough.

“It took an entire fanbase voting for me to realize that I had it in me to become a champion. They believed in me before I fully believed in myself. And when I finally got my hands on that SCW Bombshell Internet Championship, I didn’t rest. I didn’t bask in my own success. No, I sharpened my skills, I pushed myself harder, and I made damn sure that I wasn’t just a champion—I was a force to be reckoned with.

And now you think you’re going to step up and take what I’ve worked so hard for? Think again, sweetheart.”

She turns down a quieter street, the sounds of the city fading slightly, her voice firm and unwavering.

“Harper, your time will come, I have no doubt about that. But that time is not now, and it sure as hell won’t be at my expense. I’m not here to be anyone’s stepping stone. I’m not here to be some lesson in your journey to greatness. If you want to get to the top, you’re going to have to find another way, because I’m not moving for you.

You remind me a lot of myself when I was younger—so eager, so sure that nothing could stand in my way. But let me tell you something, Harper. I learned the hard way that in this business, fire alone isn’t enough. It burns bright, it burns hot, but it also burns out if you don’t know how to control it.”

She stops at the edge of a streetlight’s glow, the city stretching out behind her.

“So bring everything you’ve got, because I promise you, it won’t be enough. I’ve fought too hard, I’ve sacrificed too much, and I’ve learned too damn well how to survive in that ring. I am not just another challenge for you to overcome—I am the roadblock that you won’t be able to move.

You might think you’re ready, but I know for a fact that you’re not. And when that bell rings, I’m going to make sure you never forget it.”
