To say that the tag team match between Harper and Cassie didn’t go as planned is putting it mildly as Harper inadvertently cost the team the match and only made things worse for the young duo! Now Cassie and Harp were facing off in the opening contest of the Christmas Show AKA the last Climax Control of the year and there was a prize at stake: whoever won would challenge either Bella Madison or Aleesha Jones for the Bombshell Internet Championship at Inception VI, the first PPV of the new year! Can their friendship survive?

Sunday the 16th of December 2024, 21:30pm
She had one fucking job.
Me and Harper had the tag team match well at hand, all she needed to do was hit that dropkick and set me up to hit Mackenzie with The Coronation and score the three count, you wanna know what happened instead?
Harper took her time getting up to the top rope, too much time at that, and as a result? I’m still looking for my second win in SCW but the Christmas Special has given me an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone.
Not only am I competing in the last opening match of the year but it’s against Harper, and the winner will face the Bombshell Internet Champion for the title at Inception VI next month so yeah, there’s some pretty big stakes here! And for an extra bit of irony? The woman who won the High Stakes Rumble decided to use her opportunity to book herself against the Bombshell Internet Champion and that match is happening later in the night.
Granted, I called Aleesha using the match to try to regain the title she never lost from a mile away the moment she made it known that she was going to participate in the Rumble and there’s every chance that Bella could retain the title instead of dropping it but one thing’s for certain: either me or Harper are going to watch that match closely on Sunday!
Off course, the Internet Title situation isn’t the only thing lurking in the background of this match because the issues between me and Harper boiled over because of that tag team match and we’re not really on speaking terms, maybe we should’ve just had this match in the first place and leave London Crystal Underground out of it instead but what’s done is done.
My train of thought was interrupted by a knock at the door. ”Coming!” I called out to whoever was on the other side before I left the desk where I was keeping my laptop and answered the door. Seeing Josh standing there. ”Hey Josh, I take it you’ve seen the last Climax Control card of the year?”
“Saw it when I was checking in on Harper, can I come in?” Josh asked and I nodded before standing aside to let him in and closing the door behind us. “I don’t want to hear another word of your frustrations towards Harper for the ending of the tag team match, but you should know that she is extremely frustrated by the situation.”
”I had a feeling she should be because you know as well as I do that Harper shares a lot more than some genetics with Jessie.” I responded as I shook my head before returning to my laptop. ”And you’re really calling the end of Young Justice’s tag team debut in SCW and my feelings toward it frustrations?! Harper had one job that night!”
“Which she performed to the best of her abilities, unless you’re not talking about the tag team match as a whole.” Josh responded and the look I have him told him everything he needed to know. “You’re being unreasonable about this Cass the match went on for a while.”
”So did the High Stakes Rumble and her match against Bobbie but that didn’t stop her from winning the matter with a Phoenix Splash.” I countered as o shook my head and Josh just nodded. ”Look, I can rant about that shit all night but I’ve known you long enough to know that you don’t usually visit me or Harp in our hotel rooms unless there’s a good reason.”
“You are right, because I do need to tell you something.” Josh responded and I motioned for him to continue. “I won’t be accompanying you or Harper to the ring for the match.”
”That’s it? Huh, I was expecting something WAIT, WHAT?!” I asked as it hit me and Josh nodded. ”I mean, you didn’t start managing me until after my singles match against Alexandra so it’s not that big an adjustment for me, but Harper?”
“I’ve already explained this to Harper but I can’t remain impartial when both of my clients are wrestling each other.” Josh explained as he folded his arms. “I had leeway with the rumble because there was no guarantee that you’d still be in the ring by the time Harper made her entrance.”
”Yeah, and we both know what happened there.” I sighed as I brushed some hair over my shoulder. ”And while it was every woman for themselves in that match, it was that elimination that led to this mess.”
“I still don’t begrudge Harper for signing herself up for the women’s rumble, it was an open invite match and she was frustrated that her second High Stakes match was going to be that baby wear match.” Josh nodded sympathetically as I shifted my weight. “But what’s done is done and for all we know you or Harper could end up challenging the winner of the Bombshell Rumble at Inception.”
”Talk about things coming full circle, right? Hell, my first match in SCW was in that proving ground tournament which saw me as one of five Bombshells who could’ve challenged Julianna at Violent Conduct.” I sighed as I folded my arms. ”Do you think they threw me in the deep end on purpose when I first arrived? Because of whom my half-sister is? Krystal’s Roulette Title Reign has remained untouched since it ended in 2022 and while Victoria seems like a good candidate for the one to break it, hell that new guy Logan also graduated from he Go Gym and he got Justin Smith as his first match.”
“It does seem like they were testing you under pressure early on, you got thrown into the Roulette Title Scene faster than Krystal did though to be fair she had a Christmas Break between her first two matches and her first title opportunity.” Josh nodded in agreement as he walked towards me. “It’s clear they see a lot of potential in you Cass, you haven’t had the easiest of starts but with my guidance you can achieve it, problem is? They also see that potential in Harper.”
”Except she didn’t get her first crack at a title until February of this year, that’s a whole six months.” I pointed out before I shrugged my shoulders. ”Who knows? Maybe she thinks that I’ve been getting preferential treatment from the SCW Brass and that’s fuelling her frustrations?”
“It’s possible, and I will keep an eye out for any further resentment once this mess has been dealt with, as for beating Harper? Aside from adapting to whatever the Christmas Wheel lands on, use your speed.” Josh advised me and I nodded. “You know as well as I do that she’s one of the best on the roster when it comes to submissions, you have the edge on speed.”
”Which is all well and good until I run face first into a weapon, let’s face it, Harper has the experience edge with Roulette style matches because she’s had two Roulette Title Matches this year, me? My Roulette Contenders Match was a Tables Elimination Match, that was already decided ahead of time.” I pointed out with a shrug and Josh nodded. ”Look, I don’t know if our friendship will be the same when the dust settles but I do want to make amends with Harp, I know how frustrating this whole mess has been for both of us but I’ve only made it worse by blaming her for how the tag match ended.”
“I believe you, and I know Harper feels the same.” Josh nodded as he went to leave. “But it’s up to you and Harper, regardless of match result. To make it happen.” Josh added before he left the room.

It’s been a very tiring couple of days since the penultimate Climax Control of the year aired.
With it being the week before Christmas I am getting some flak for my mom for working off course but it’s like I told her, I take my bookings when I get them, and I’m not about to drop out of a chance to earn a shot at a title that I started my SCW Career chasing.
Just sucks that I have to beat a friend to do it.
Speaking of Harp, we’re being kept separate again to avoid clashes, she’s getting her reps in at Hero Academy and Jessie’s Home Gym and I’m getting mine here and at the Go Gym (thanks to my ties with Krystal and all that), all to help us prepare for a contenders match with as little drama as possible.
And yeah, I know, wrestling and drama practically go hand in hand.
“Great job Cass, you’re coming along great.” Josh encouraged me and I glanced over at her after finishing my sparring match with the Hero Academy student Zara. “Zara, you’re coming along great as well.”
”What can I say? Team Hero works us hard, but the reps I’ve gotten at the Go Gym have helped a lot.” I responded with a grin as I walked over to the ropes and leaned on them to address Josh. ”Beating Harper however is a different matter.”
“I was sparring with Harp yesterday.” Zara chimed in and we turned to the taller woman. “She’s really driven but I can’t tell if it’s because of the title match at stake or because of all the drama that’s happened between you guys since High Stakes.”
”To be honest? I’m feeling pretty much the same.” I responded as I started stretching out the ring ropes for a warm up. ”Though the fact that I’ve been in contention for the Bombshell Internet Title twice now and fallen short both times before I could even get a whiff of the title doesn’t help!”
“Trust me Cass, I get it.” Zara nodded in understanding as she leaned back against the turnbuckle. “Harp feels the same way about the Bombshell Roulette Title, though she at least got a couple of title matches out of it.”
”Guess we do have a lot in common.” I commented with a grin as I brushed some hair over my shoulder. ”Don’t suppose she spilled the beans on how she’s strategizing for the match, did she?”
“Even if she did, I wouldn’t tell you.” Zara responded as she shook her head. “What happens in Hero Academy stays in Hero Academy, unless you get caught having sex in one of the practice rings.”
”Ugh, I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that Faith and Skylar weren’t kicked out immediately after that or that Keira didn’t burn that ring!” I commented with a shudder as that infamous moment came back to me, no pun intended. ”Hell, I didn’t even do that when I was dating Zoey and Becky!”
“That reminds me, what happened between you guys? One minute you were happy, the next they had broken it off with you and Zoey and Becky were dating.” Zara asked with a curious look on her face and I frowned. “Just wondering, that’s all.”
”We just drifted apart, alright? After a while the three way relationship just wasn’t working out and they moved back to Vegas.” I admitted with a sigh as I brushed some hair out of my eyes. ”I’ve been meaning to move back as well, I don’t think I need to tell you that a weekly commute from Reno to Vegas is hell on earth, but I wanted to make sure things were settled as far as my SCW Career was concerned.”
“If you want my help with that just let me know.” Josh chimed in and I glanced over at him. “I’m sure I can find you a place to stay in Vegas.”
”And here’s yet another reason why I wonder her Arte beat you to win Manager of the Year at High Stakes!” I commented with a grin and Josh shook his head with a chuckle before I turned my attention back to Zara. ”I’m ready to get back into it when you are Z.”
“As long as you mean a wrestling match? You’re on.” Zara responded with a grin before we resumed sparing .

As I got ready to cut my final promo of the year I had a lot on my mind as I leaned against the ring ropes.
”In hindsight? I probably should’ve seen this coming, the moment Christian learned that I’m friends with Harper was probably the moment where we went “yeah, I’m going to look for an excuse to book these girls against each other before the year is done” and find an excuse he did.” I commented as brushed some hair over my shoulder. ”In an ideal world the events of the High Stakes Rumble would be water under the bridge by now, we would’ve won the tag match against Chrystal and Mackenzie and whether we’d be booked for the Christmas special of Climax Control would be up in the air.
But we’re not living in an ideal world, Harp cost us the tag team match, the friction between us is so bad that we’re training at different facilities on different days, and off course? We’re fighting for a shot at the Bombshell Internet Championship at Inception VI this Sunday at the Christmas Special!”
I let out a deep breath as I folded my arms.
”Did I see this coming when I eliminated you from the Bombshell Rumble Harp? Honestly, no, I thought we had a mutual understanding that the match was every woman for themselves and let’s face it, if I could predict the future I’d be undefeated in SCW by now!” I added with a small grin on my face before shaking my head. ”Instead? Well, just look at what’s happened since then, our once bulletproof friendship is starting to show cracks and it’s all because of one rash decision I made in the heat of the moment.
Look, I’m not harping to harp on the rumble for much longer, no pun intended, but we can both agree that our recent troubles can be traced back to that match, things were only exasperated when we had that tag team match a few weeks ago and now we’re at this crossroads, for one of us the path will lead to Inception VI and a match with the Bombshell Internet Champ, for the other? Nothing but uncertainty.”
Yep.
”And yeah, I realize the irony behind the fact that the winner of the rumble used her guaranteed title match to get herself a shot at the very title we’re fighting for, Aleesha? Bella? No matter who wins the match at the Christmas Special know that I’ve got you in my sites!” I added as I made a finger gun point motion to the camera. ”Win or lose! But make no mistake Harper, we’re friends and we trained at the same wrestling gym, but does that mean I’m going to take it easy on you? Nope! Brooke and Logan have a better chance at winning Most Popular at the Year End Awards at next year’s High Stakes!
We’ve been straight with each other since day one Harp and this is no different, I you’re your strengths, I know your weaknesses, and I know your moveset inside and out, then again? You can say the same, can’t you? I have the speed advantage, you have the technical skills to counteract it, question is, what will determine the match?”
Good question.
”I can’t even say that it’ll come down to who’s hungrier for this, we graduated a year apart, won our first titles in our rookie years, joined SCW a year apart and haven’t had the same success in the title scene yet.” I added as I let out a deep breath. ”Hell, it could be argued that I had it easier when it came to your graduation, I only had to deal with Keira, after accidentally busting her open, you had to deal with Jessie, Keira and Roxi in succession! Does that take away from how hard we work at our craft? Hell no!
But it does mean that this match is anyone’s game, either my speed and slight experience edge will see me as either Bella’s second challenger or Aleesha’s first or your tenacity and technical expertise will see you in that spot Harper! And that’s not even getting into other aspects like the Christmas themed Roulette Wheel.”
Oh yeah.
”We can train and prepare for this match all we can but if that wheel stops on a stipulation that neutralizes the aspects of our respective games that make us who we are as wrestlers? Then what are we left with?” I asked with a deep breath as I folded my arms. ”I guess in some ways his will be my test of how well I can handle myself in the Bombshell Roulette Division since that divisions is as about adapting to a new situation as it is your skill as a wrestler but no matter what Harper?”
Don’t hold back, because I won’t either!”
It’s that simple.
”Yeah, I know, that should go without saying, especially with a title shot at stake, but I want to make sure of one thing Harper, you’re not entering this match thinking of me as your friend and fellow Hero Academy graduate.” I let out a deep breath as I started to pace around the ring. ”I want you to enter this match thinking of me as the only obstacle in your path between you and the Bombshell Internet Title Match at Inception VI because that is what is on my mind ass well!
We both want that title Harper, we both want to win our first championships in SCW, don’t you fucking dare hold back!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
”Because the moment you hesitate is the moment I make you regret it after I book my ticket to Inception VI in January!” I added as I flipped some hair over my shoulder. ”That is the mindset I want from you Harper, I want a competitive match out of this, I want to go into the match at Inception VI feeling that I’ve earned it and I know for a god damn fact that you feel the same way! To all my fans? In a world of fake queens and potentially ruined friendships? Be yourselves and be a Rebel Princess, and too Harper? Good luck my friend because while we may be Best of Friends, are we Bitter Enemies? I fucking hope not! And I’m hungry like the wolfe!”
Cassie turned off the camera as the scene fades.
