HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
« on: August 14, 2020, 11:46:08 PM »
Initiation: A formal entry into a certain club or organisation, position, or legacy. Summer XXXTreme was just that to Evie Luna Jordan, it wasn’t just the biggest match of her career to date, but it was also a fresh start on her World Bombshell Championship reign. It might seem stupid, I mean Evie won the title off Andrea at Into the Void through her success at the 2020 Blast from the Past tournament. However, since defeating Andrea she hadn’t had the opportunity to show the world she had exactly what it takes to carry the prestigious World Bombshell Championship to the next level. In fact, her reign thus far had been plagued by mixed tag team match ups and backstage bust ups.

Her track record from Into the Void up until Summer XXXTreme wasn’t the beginning Evie desired for her reign as the World Bombshell Champion, though Summer XXXTreme had been and gone and with her first defence out of the way… it was almost as if Evie could breathe again. There was no shamble bookings coming her way from the likes of Crystal Seven-Names, it was a fresh start and finally things were starting to look up for the young Australian.

Even if that meant, facing Alicia Lukas one on one this week at Climax Control. The dark storm clouds that shadowed her title reign up until now had lifted and finally the Aussie could see the sun.

Evie’s first Climax Control back in action, was a singles match against Alicia Lukas for the World Bombshell Championship. Two defences in such a short time, but Evie couldn’t help but feel like her reign was going to be seen less transitional and more sensational, especially after Sunday night when she is able to put Alicia Lukas to rest one more time. To many this match seemed to be a chance for Alicia to have a championship match, gift wrapped, and hand delivered to her, though Evie understood what this was all about. At Summer XXXTreme, Evie didn’t pin Alicia to retain her title, she pinned Andrea and by doing so, Alicia’s claim to the World Bombshell Championship wasn’t discredited.

If anything, that fact would be highlighted, it would be argued and it would shoved down Evie’s throat until he next time they faced off together… lucky for Evie Jordan, the chance to put “mummy” back in her face was just around the corner. She didn’t have to wait, she didn’t have to listen to the complaints, Evie could take this problem on head on and within a matter of day’s it would be over with. Either Evie Jordan was strong enough to put the doubters to rest, or Alicia Lukas would prove herself as the rightful Sin City Wrestling World Bombshell Champion. It was no easy feat for either of the Bombshell’s with neither of them wanting to accept defeat. Evie wanted to continue her reign, she wanted to cement her name in the World Bombshell Hall of Greats and to do so she desperately needed to hold on the Championship belt for a long as possible. Potentially losing the title in her second defence to Alicia Lukas was nothing to be sneezed at, after all Alicia is one of the best Sin City Wrestling had ever seen, but Evie didn’t want her second chance a greatness to wash down the drain, just like that.

Evie could feel the vibrations in the air surrounding her victory at Summer XXXTreme, she could feel the temptation there was from the fans to drive her victory down to a stroke of strategy for pinning the weaker of her opponents… She could tell the illustrious following of Alicia Lukas would be beating down the doors of Mark Ward, Christian Underwood and Brooke Saxon demanding their put Alicia up for a another shot at the title. It was only a matter of time, this would get out of hand, Evie just found herself in luck that the match had been made for this Sunday and that the evitable wasn’t put off or dragged out for months. This week’s Climax Control gave the Wolflair’s fan club the icing their cake desired. Alicia Lukas was getting her moment once again to prove that she could have been the one to walk away from Summer XXXTreme as the World Bombshell Champion, had Evie chosen a different path after the Toxic Maid. Thus, meaning in the eyes of a lot of the Sin City Wrestling fans, there was still a chance that “mummy” was home, it’s just Alicia had her chance to reclaim the World Bombshell Championship ripped out of her grasps from Evie’s decision to pin Andrea.

Evie was damned if she did or damned if she didn’t in that triple threat match, regardless of who she picked to pin, the other challenger would stamp their feet and demand a one on one match up. It’s how things work in this world. Evie didn’t pick Andrea to beat because she thought Alicia would kick out. She picked Andrea because it was personal, her hatred for Andrea seeped deep into her veins like a toxin and nothing satisfied her more than removing the poison from the root of the problem. Defeating Andrea meant she would be forced to the back of the line, it meant she wouldn’t have to listen to her drone on and create lies about how Evie belittled her dead father… it meant she was free from the sickness that Andrea harboured and that is why she moved heaven and hell that night ensuring she put the repetitive motion of Andrea’s charge towards the World Bombshell Championship and slandering of Evie to bed.

Now all Evie had to do is tuck the sheets in on the next thorn in her side… Alicia Lukas.

It was time for the rematch, between the two alphas that refuse to back down, who refuse to settle for anything than the best and that refuse to let go of the World Bombshell Championship.

##

Evie had done it, she had pinned Andrea Hernandez and retained her Sin City Wrestling World Bombshell Championship. It wasn’t easy, the fury of the fast-paced match had knocked the wind out of her sails (BOAT PUN!!!) but regardless, through gritted teeth Evie stormed the closest turnbuckle and climbed the ropes, parading her dominance. The Australian watched as Andrea and Alicia retreated to the back before she got all clear from the SCW production crew that Summer XXXTreme had come to an end. That’s when she knew it was safe to jump down, gather her long black trench coat and head backstage.

The walk up the ramp way was a blur, her mind already switching off from her match and it was already miles away back home to her lake house in Bar Harbor. Evie couldn’t help it, all week her eyes had been glued to her phone, stalking the security cameras and monitors that protected her house she share with her husband Ben. Last week there had been a breach and since then, Evie’s nerves had been rattled. It wasn’t for her own wellbeing, it was her husbands. He didn’t deserve to be drag into her family drama and yet, her Ben was once again staring into a world that he didn’t belong in. that thought alone was enough to have Evie tearing herself apart, he had put up with a lot of nonsense since falling head over heels in love with Evie and just when they thought the coast was clear and they could start living a normal peaceful life. The winds had picked up and their little boat, was dangerously about to be overturned.

Evie walked between the black curtains, heading into the gorilla position where she was met by the outstretched, muscular arms of Ben Jordan. He was half expecting her to leap up into his arms and celebrate her victory, but instead Evie just walked into his arms and rested her forehead on top of his right shoulder. Ben couldn’t help but notice the lack of enthusiasm in Evie’s body language, but there was no way in hell he was going to let her suffer alone.

“You know, for a winner… you sure look like a loser.” Ben chuckled.

He was witty, it was one of the many things Evie loved most about him. Evie just looked up into Ben’s clear blue eyes and shot him a look that read “HA-HA” She didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of a real laugh, she couldn’t muster it.

“You don’t have to hold back Eves, just because tonight didn’t go my way doesn’t mean you have to play it cool.” Ben smiled. “You deserve to celebrate… putting Andrea down and beating Alicia in the process isn’t an easy feat, you should be shouting from the roof tops.” He declared.

Evie just felt Ben’s arms wrap around her lower back tightly, bringing her in for a hug. She knew he meant well, and she knew that her success wasn’t eating at him. It wasn’t that it’s just she hated this boat, she hated being so far away from home and she sure as hell hated putting him back in the firing line.

“Oh, I couldn’t be happier.” Evie grinned. “I’m just conserving all my energy for late night celebrations.” She replied with a wink.

Ben knew she wasn’t joking, but he could tell that something else was on her mind. It was written all over her face. Ben continued to hold Evie as close as he could beside him, trying to offer her the warmth of support she deserved.

“Then why the long face?” Ben questioned.

Evie couldn’t help but exhale deeply, it was as if her body dropped inside Ben’s hands and he needed to catch her. Figuratively of course, Evie was strong enough to stand on her own two feet, even when she was being dramatic.

“I just hate this fucking boat.” She growled.

Ben knew deep down why Evie hated Summer XXXTreme, he wasn’t an idiot he knew one night in particular had her clawing at her sanity. However, a tradition was a tradition and even if it grinded her down to her very last nerve, she couldn’t ban Ben from doing something that he enjoyed with a close friend who had been in his life just as long as Evie had. It’s just she wasn’t the cool calm and collective type, when it came to Ben, she was hot blooded, possessive and well if she was being completely honest the jealous type. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust Ben, she did with everything she had they had been through way too much for her not to trust him. It’s just she knew Sam couldn’t stand her and well, women are women after all. Ben moved his arms from around Evie’s back and slid them to her hips, pushing himself back from Evie so he could look deep into her eyes when he spoke the following words to her.

“How about we get off this boat and head home for the week off?” He smiled. “I mean we’ll collect Bear first but then we can spend the rest of the time back in Maine, where we can put our heads together and problem solve our half-sister situation.” Ben paused.

Evie’s eyes lit up at when he called it their half-sister situation, even though Ben shared no blood with Ayla Vlasova he wanted to drive home the fact that he wasn’t going anywhere even with the new family development that had landed in their lap over a week ago. Ben was persistent in trying to ease Evie’s mind when it came to her past coming back to bite her, he knew being married to a super spy / assassin wasn’t going to be easy work but then again Evie knew there would only be so much baggage Ben would offer to carry.

“Are you sure?” Evie said excitedly. “I know you had grand plans of annoying O’Malley and hanging out with Max.” she groaned.

Ben just moved his hands again this time he rested them on top of her shoulders.

“Oh, there will still be time for that. You have to shower, change and pack… that will give me enough time to dig deep into the greatest hits of Jordan on the Bongo drums.” He smirked mischievously.

Evie just shook her head from side to side, she didn’t know where he mustered his energy from at times however, she couldn’t help but notice the goofy smile that was plastered proudly on his face. Reaching up on her tippy-toes Evie planted her lips on his right cheek, gesturing a thank you before she twirled on her heels and looked to make a mad dash back to their suite. However, Ben wasn’t ready to watch her walk away just yet as he reached out, grab onto her right hand, and pulled her back towards him a cheeky smile on his dial as he spoke.

“Where are my manners?” He smirked. “Congratulations Eves… I’m so very proud of you.” Ben spoke sternly.

The joking tone from his voice had shifted to serious as he wanted her to know he was being sincere. Evie couldn’t help but blush, there was something about the way Ben was looking at her right now, that had her feeling like a wife that had just made her husband’s favourite meal and got the recipe right for the first time. He made her feel giddy and right now, while her mind was torn between celebrating her victory and rushing home to protect her property, she couldn’t help but be shocked into standing still because of the powerful look in her Husband’s eyes. Ben knew he had a way with her, that’s why at certain times he milked it for all its worth, especially if it meant it would ease her mind and bring her loveable blushed smile to her face.

“You put the world on notice tonight, just like I knew you would, and I can’t wait to see where you take this.” He paused.

His attention shifted to her left hand that was holding the World Bombshell Championship along with her long black trench coat. Evie held onto her World Bombshell Championship a little tighter, her smile grew a little wider as her emerald eyes seemed to light up. It was finally starting to sink in, she was in fact the World Bombshell Champion, and she had just successfully defended it against two of the best bombshell’s Sin City Wrestling had seen. At last she was experiencing the attachment towards the belt that she should have felt after winning at Into the Void. The cloud of doubt was shifting. Before Evie could reach for the right words, her chance to speak was removed as Ben placed his lips on hers and he refused to let her leave without showing her just how impressed he was with her first title defence. And if this was going to be her reward for being a successful World Bombshell Champion, there was no way she was going to give it up without a fight.

##

The week at home had been peaceful for the Jordan’s despite the arrival of her half-sister Ayla, Evie had found that front had gone quiet. Maybe the crazy Russian had thought twice about her offer and decided to leave her half-sister alone to live freely and peacefully without her presences known. Although the silence was enough to drive Evie’s mind to work overtime, she knew what people were like in her family, she knew that her heritage consistent of, she also knew that when there was silence there was normally chaos brewing. So, to think that she was out of the woods was a joke. However, their week at home was just what they needed. It gave Ben time to recover from Summer XXXTreme, while it was a refreshing breathe of fresh air for Evie. There was something about their lake house that just soothed them.

Yet, the peacefulness of the week off was drawing to a close as late Sunday afternoon Evie had found herself packing a travel bag and the destination, she was headed was back to Vegas to kick start the beast that was the Wrestling world all over again. As Evie started to fill up the black suitcase that laid open on the king bed she shared with Ben, she couldn’t help but notice she wasn’t alone. Ben standing in the doorway of their bedroom, looking across the room at Evie, watching her toss her clothing in the bag without a care in the world. Her body language told him a thousand stories, but right now the one he was reading, was that she wasn’t impressed. As Evie kept her head down, she attempted to roll up some jeans before she slammed them into the suitcase, before picking up the next set of jeans and repeating the action.

“Whoa.” Ben started. “What did those jeans do to you?” He joked.

Eve didn’t even turn around, she could tell he had that stupid cheesy smile on his face from the tone in his voice. The sound of Ben’s feet against the wooden floor let Evie know he was on the move and was headed towards her.

“I can’t believe we have to go back to Vegas already… Climax Control isn’t until next Sunday.” She growled.

Ben just walked around her, before he jumped up on the bed, crash landing on his behind. As he got himself comfortable, he looked up at Evie with a smile on his face. Evie was trying to keep her features stern, but it was becoming increasingly difficult with he bright whites that were flashing before her.

“The bosses want us to go back early.” He paused. “Perks of being with the top female champion.” Ben smiled.

“No one else is going to be back in town this early. I haven’t even received anything via email about media requests or press junkets.” Evie sighed.

“Maybe, they think the champ, is too busy to check her emails… so they sent them to her receptionist instead?” Ben smiled.

Evie just rolled her eyes at him. There was no way on God’s green earth that Mark Ward, Christian Underwood, or Brooke Saxon would see Ben as Evie’s receptionist. However, Ben was hamming it up for Evie as he decided to help her pack her suitcase, rolling up a bundle of socks before gently placing them in the bag. Evie on the other hand was just slapping in her clothing, without much care or consideration.

“I guess it will give me a few extra days with Gabriel to get ready to face Alicia again.” Evie sighed.

She was trying to find some positives in going back to Vegas, so early even though she had her heart set on staying at home, especially on Monday at least. Ben could tell her mind had travelled elsewhere so he was quick to drag her back into the here and now.

“There’s no rest for the wicked, Eves.” Ben smiled.

There was something about his cheeky manner tonight that would have had Evie guessing what he was up to on any another day but tonight he had picked a good night to plot a little secret from his wife. Ben got up from the bed and moved towards their walk-in closet, he rummaged around for a few moments before he brought out a handful of Evie’s clothing. Without folding them, her just shoved them into her suitcase, slammed the lid down and zipped it up.

“Hey!” Evie shouted. “I wasn’t finished packing.” She sighed.

Ben just turned to look at her, dragging Evie’s suitcase off the bed, dropping it towards the floor catching it before it dinted the wooden floors. Her attention shifted from the empty bed down to the floor, to see her bad prepped ready to go, while Ben was glancing down at his watch.

“If you kept up the pace you were going, we would be stuck here until midnight… and well wheels go up in forty minutes.” He hurried. “So, let’s get that arse into gear, shall we?” Ben smirked, wildly.

Evie just gave him that look, that would send shivers down people’s spines, but he knew she was all bark and no bite with him. Laughing it off, Ben lifted Evie’s bag and headed towards the bedroom door, leaving Evie behind to scoop up the last few items that were on her bed. She quickly placed her makeup bag, her books, and her phone charger into her overnight duffle bag, before lastly walking across her bedroom. She stood dead in her tracks, as she moved the straps of her bag over her shoulder, adjusting it before she looked at the large leather chair that was housed in the corner of her room looking out towards the beautiful clear lake. Over the back of the chair, her prized possession the Sin City Wrestling World Bombshell Championship draped across the leather. Evie couldn’t help but marvel at it before she picked it up gently and slung it over her shoulder and headed towards the door.

She couldn’t be entirely sure she had everything packed, but Evie didn’t have time to second guess herself as the sound of Ben’s voice calling her from the front door had her quickly flicking off the light switch and leaving the room. There seemed to be no rest for the wicked at all, as even a week out from Climax Control Evie was packed up and heading straight back to work.

What Evie didn’t know is that on her way back to Vegas, there would be a little detour.

##

It was the 10th of August and that meant one thing and one thing only in the Jordan household, it was Evie’s birthday. She had spent most of Sunday afternoon and night complaining about having to leave their peaceful house and head back to work, however Ben had another trick up his sleeve. They did jump onboard their private jet and they did set off in the direction of Nevada, however the flight fell just under two hours short and landed in the beautiful rocky mountain sides of Canyon Point Utah. Evie knew they weren’t in Vegas, but the darkness of the night shielded where Ben had flown her into and with a simple blindfold, he was able to shield her from her where they had just checked into. Ben wanted this to be magical and for it to pan out in his favour he needed Evie to see her home away from home for the week in the wee hours of the morning, on her birthday.

It didn’t take long for the night to melt into day, as Evie opened her eyes to the glistening pale pink and passionate yellows in the Sunkissed skies over rusty red and white soil of the canyons in Utah. Ben had taken her to the Amangiri Resort, and he spared no expense of their accommodation that was hidden into the side of one of the hills, that overlooked the empty but beautiful desert sands. That only housed small dried cactus and little tumbleweed style bushes. The colour of the blue sky intensified over the red and yellow sands, as their rendered and wooden villa married into its surroundings. Evie didn’t even have to leave their bed, as the wall of glass in their room, was enough to have her basking in all of Utah’s glory. Lifting the crisp white linen of the bedsheet to her chest, Evie sat up on the bed, looking towards the view, her emerald eyes fixated on the vast canyons that laid before them. She couldn’t believe the real-life postcard that was before her very eyes.

“Good morning beautiful.” Ben smiled.

His voice groaned from just waking up, but he couldn’t waste a single second today as he had everything running to a schedule today. Evie turned back to look at Ben who was beside her, he still had his head on his pillow, but he had rolled over to face her. Evie placed her right hand on his shoulder giving him a little nudge. It was as if to say he had forgotten something.

“Happy birthday, Evie Luna Jordan.” He spoken softly.

Ben reached out and tugged on Evie pulling her back down to lay in the bed with him. But he rolled her over, so she was now laying on top of him, only a thin piece of fabric between his skin and hers kept them apart.

“Thank you” Evie whispered. “It’s beautiful here, I can’t believe you were able to get a room it’s always booked out like years in advance.” She smiled.

“I have my ways.” Ben beamed with pride.

Ben wrapped his arms around Evie’s back, while using his elbows to put the sheet out from between them, so he could feel her skin on his. Evie lifted herself up, unwrapping herself so she could lay back down, and their touch could be uninterrupted. Without another word spoken, her lips were on his as Ben pressed his fingertips into her flesh, gripping at her. Evie reached up and tucked her long hair behind her ears, but before she could finish. Ben’s right hand was on the back of her head, his fingers wrapping around her hair and with an almighty yank of her luscious strands, he had shifted his position again. This time he was on top and Evie was left looking up at him, from underneath him. He had a devilish look in his eyes, before he dissolved the distance between them, sealing it with a deep kiss and well the morning birthday celebrations for the Jordan’s were alive and well.

#

The rest of the day was spent exploring the Canyons of Utah, the two had walked hand in hand on one of the very many trails that Canyon Point had to offer. Their lunch was taken care of, as they were whisked off to Water Holes Canyon where they enjoyed a private tour of the Canyons that were world known for their wave like patterns and striking burnt red, orange, and yellow coloured sands. They ended that tour in Antelope Canyon, where the world-famous windows background photo was taken. The two refusing to leave each other’s side as their were shown around the Native American’s land. To finish the day activities off Ben had organised a helicopter flight over Horseshoe Canyon before they were flow back to their resort. It was just on dusk and Ben had picked the perfect time of day to fly back into where they were staying as the deep blues in the awakening night skies, mixed with the glowing lightening of the Amangiri resort was breathe taking in it’s own right. Evie didn’t have time to rest, as Ben had walked her back to their suite briskly not letting Evie stop to snap a photo of the beautiful sunset.

“Why are we rushing?” Evie called out to Ben.

Ben just reached back and held onto Evie’s hand gently but firmly.

“I have to get you back in time to shower and change.” He smirked. “And with your wild helicopter hair… you might need a little extra time.” Ben said, playfully.

Evie reached up with her free hand and tried to pat down her unruly fly away but she didn’t have much time to bother about them before she knew it Ben has scooped her up into his arms and he was carrying her over his shoulder across the desert and towards their room.

“Are you sure, it’s just a shower you’re rushing me back for.” Evie joked.

Ben couldn’t help himself as he reached up to her behind, giving it a little pat before he chuckled to himself.

“Eves… there’s no time to muck about.” He groaned.

“Why are you sweating?” Evie questioned.

“Because it’s hot?” Ben replied.

Evie just rolled her eyes at him, he was a typical Brit.

“It’s not even a little bit mild.” Evie teased.

“You’re an Aussie, you’re used to the heat. I’m cockney, if it’s not raining, then I’m hot.” Ben chuckled to himself.

Evie couldn’t tell what he had planned next, but she didn’t think anything of it as Ben rushed her back to their accommodation and behind closed doors. They both had a timeline to stick to and Ben was enforcing it, as he knew what Evie could be like at times when getting ready. As Evie disappeared into the bathroom to shower, Ben laid out a beautiful black floor length beaded dress on the bed for Evie, a pair of bright red heels he didn’t wait around for her to finish in the shower as he had his own preparations to attend to.

#

An hour had gone by and the sun was completely gone from the sky leaving it in darkness. However, the stars and moon twinkled uninterruptedly, there was no bright city lights to steal their shine as they danced across the navy sky in the middle of basically nowhere. Ben was dressed up in a black tux a crisp white shirt and a black bowtie as Evie was wearing the long black dress, that clung to her figure perfectly. The neckline plunged into the top half of her cleavage giving just the right amount of sexiness that Evie was used to showing. Her Bright red heels clicked along the stoned walkway as Ben had linked his arm with hers as he ushered her to their dinner plans.

They had the top floor of the restaurant to themselves. The room was surrounded by window falls that showed off the magical beauty of Utah at night. It was quiet, so quiet and peaceful Evie felt like they were the only people there. They could have been for all she knew, because to be honest her attention hadn’t shifted from her husband since arriving to the resort. Ben pulled out a large black chair for Evie, letting her take a seat before him, before he took a seat across the table from her. On cue the waiter arrived to fill their glasses one with water, one with wine. There was no need to scan a menu as Ben had already taken care of it all before, they arrived. He knew what his wife liked to eat, and he honestly just wanted to spend the rest of their night together uninterrupted.

“Thank you for today.” Evie blushed. “It was perfect.” She followed.

Evie just looked across the table at his wife and smiled back to her.

“You’re welcome. It’s not every day you turn thirty.” He smirked.

Evie gently kicked him under the table, she couldn’t believe she was thirty and to be honest it wasn’t sitting well with her. Although she should consider herself lucky enough to get to this age, especially with her past. Ben faked and ouch before he reached across the table to hold onto her hands.

“You’re still beautiful. You always will be.” He smiled, sincerely.

Evie just smiled, as she felt her hands in his. Ben had started to rub his thumbs in circular motions on the back of Evie’s hands. Evie couldn’t believe how lucky she was Ben had planned this all without even letting up a single clue or inkling of what he was up to.

“You have to say that.” Evie argued. “Or you’d be in a world of trouble.” She followed with a laugh.

Ben just looked at her from across the table and smiled.

“You know I only speak the truth.” He replied.

The waiter was back with their meals and Ben’s wine had been replaced with a cold glass of beer. The two exchanged small talk over their meals, and once they were done with them the waiter came back and removed their plates. He filled the glasses once more and quickly left the room.

“This brings back memories.” Evie started. “all those secret late-night dinners, alone in exclusive restaurants. Just so we could be ourselves…” Evie sighed.

“I’m more than glad those days are over.” Ben spoken honestly.

It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy their hidden dinner dates, it’s just it was good to be out in the open about their marriage and not sneaking around the world to be with one another.

“Can’t say we didn’t have some exciting close calls.” Evie smiled proudly.

“Like the time in Iceland.” Ben recalled.

The two just clinked their glasses together before they brought them to their lips. It was true they had an endless history together since find each other in February 2015 and since that faithful date, they had shared secret meals, hidden weddings but endless enjoyment. Ben looked past Evie’s shoulders looking out into the sea of darkness, that the canyonlands of Utah offered. Evie followed his trail and turned her head around to look outside the window, her eyes growing wide at the beautiful sight before her as the sky was lit up with millions of stars, while the soft glow from the mood lighting outside illuminated the beautiful rock formations that surrounded their hotel. As Evie turned back around to face Ben, he wasn’t in his seat anymore, in fact he was on one knee on the floor in front of her.

“Evie Luna Jordan… I’ve known you for the past five years and I couldn’t imagine my life without you in it. I know we are already husband and wife, and this might seem all a tad bit crazy, but would you do the greatest honour of marrying me… again?” Ben stopped talking.

Evie’s bottom lip had dropped as she looked down at Ben who was right beside her, down on one knee asking her to marrying him again. It all made sense know as to why he had been a nervous wreck all afternoon and so strict with timelines when he was normally cool calm and collected. Before Evie could reply, Ben flipped open the small black box in her right hand to show Evie a large Emerald cut diamond ring.

“Are you sure you want to marry me again?” Evie whispered.

It was all she could muster as her voice trembled in fear.

“I would marry you a thousand times over, Eves.” Ben gushed. “I love you. I want to do this one right, no elopements in Paris, no drunken wedding in front of Elvis… you, me, surrounded by our family and friends.” Ben exclaimed.

“You want to marry me for a third time?” Evie stumbled on her words.

She couldn’t take her eyes off him and the longer she left him down on one knee the more she could see the beads of sweat form on top of his eyebrows.

“Umm… well… Yes.” Ben replied. “I’m getting really good at it. So please, Evie make me the happiest man on the planet and marry me.” Ben questioned.

Evie reached across and placed her hands on each side of Ben’s face and without speaking she pressed her blood red lips to his, kissing him deeply. She pulled back just ever so slightly, so she could look into his eyes and answer him.

“Yes…” She said breathlessly.

Ben was back on his feet, and his arms were wrapped around his wife as he lifted her from her chair, bringing her into his arms so he could kiss her. Evie could help herself, he brought her hand up behind his neck and drew him closer, hungry for his touch. Ben’s hands found her hips as he dug his fingertips into the material of her dress, he was desperate to feel her. The two ever inseparable as they let their kiss deepen, the sound of a cork being popped on a champagne bottle didn’t even rattle them. Ben put the ring box down the table, he knew Evie wasn’t going to be overly fussed about the hardware for now because all the mattered to her was in her arms and had just made her thirty birthdays worth living for. Ben broke the embrace just for a moment to look into his wife’s eyes.

“I love you.” He said freely.

He pushed back a few loose curls behind Evie’s right ear before he looked down towards her lips, eager to place his back on hers.

“And I love you.” Evie replied.

Ben couldn’t help but smile, Evie on the other hand had a stray tear rolling down her right cheek. Ben quickly wiped it away for her before he brought his lips back to hers once more. That’s were we will leave these two in a blissful bubble of happiness.

The scene opened up outside the world-famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign in well, Las Vegas at the start of the strip. The sign was deserted which was rare but in these Covid-19 times a lot of places that used to be crawling with people were now, semi ghost towns. However, that didn’t stop one Sin City Wrestling Bombshell from lapping up the current situation that was plaguing the world as Evie stepped into the shot. She was dressed in her wrestling gear, ready to go, with her World Bombshell Championship draped over her right shoulder.

“Alicia… Fucking… Lukas.” Evie snarled. “The one woman that seems to have the entire bombshell roster pissing their pants, when it comes to facing her one on one.” Evie smiled.

Evie looked towards the camera wicked smile on her face.

“Not me though… I don’t give Alicia that satisfaction. I don’t give Alicia that much power over me and at Summer XXXTreme I proved that to the world. I proved that to everyone that just because she was able to beat me once, that doesn’t mean she’ll be able to do it again. Sure, you might sit back and say that I didn’t pin Alicia at Summer XXXTreme… but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t beat her. It means I didn’t pin her, but when it all boils down to it, I was the bigger, faster, stronger woman on the night who was able to carry myself to victory, I was the one who had her arm raised in victory… while Alicia? She crashed and burned and crushed herself under all that hype leading up to Summer XXXTreme. All her talk about mummy being home, really fell on deaf ears when the bell tolled at the end of the night and where was she? No where to be found.” Evie paused.

Evie looked towards the camera once more adjusting her World Bombshell Championship that shone proudly.

“However, it would be foolish of me to count chicken before they hatch because Summer XXXTreme was weeks ago, Climax Control is only days away and anything can happen in this business.” Evie sighed. “Though no matter how great Alicia is inside those ropes, I have to be a thousand times better if I want to walk away with two successful title defences under my belt… and trust me… that’s what I’m gunning for. I need to right my wrongs from the past, I need to get the monkey off my back that goes by the name of Polly Playtime and to do that, I have to beat Alicia Lukas this weekend and steam roll my way towards redemption. It won’t be easy, it won’t be a walk in the park… but it’s what I’m gunning for, it’s what I’m working for and it doesn’t matter who Brooke Saxon put before me this week, it’s what I’m going to accomplish. I need this defence, I need to prove my worth in the Bombshell division… Afterall I don’t want to be known as the transitional champion. I don’t want to be known as the part time champion, I don’t want to be known as the woman who can’t hang with the best of very best in this business. That would cement everyone’s claim that I only pinned Andrea because I fear Alicia.” Evie seethed.

Evie moved under the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, letting the lights illuminate her facial features.

“I don’t fucking fear anyone… I don’t understand why I have to repeat that fact over and over again. I don’t understand why I need to prove that fact over and over again… it should be common fucking knowledge that I’m at the top of my game and yet, all week on Twitter I’ve seen the snide comments… I’ve seen the wasted retweets… apparently my future had already been written… apparently the match has already taken place and I am the loser.” Evie paused. For the followers of Alicia Lukas had spoken, I must fall into line and accept that I’m not as great as her…” Evie stopped.

The camera panned in on her face showing the focus in her emerald eyes.

“I refuse.” He tone was blunt. “I fucking refuse to accept that. I refuse to have the World Bombshell Championship that I currently carry be seen less than the World Bombshell Championship she carried. It’s the same fucking belt… it holds the same weight and carries the same history… and yet because it’s in my hands, it now simply doesn’t mean anything?” Evie laughed. “Give me a fucking break.”

Evie rolled her eyes, she continued.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day, nor are legacies, nor are powerful reigns but believe me when I say this. I’m doing everything in my power to create my own destiny. I’m doing everything in my power to move up the ranks and carry this right here.” She tapped the title. “To the heights it deserves to be at. I refuse to let it be bogged down by narrow minds who believe that they are the rightful owner of the championship because they previously had a long successful reign… the key word is previously… that was then this is now and right now, I am the World Bombshell Champion. I am the woman on top of the roster, I am the one over looking the lands and I am the one who is defending the castle and if Alicia thinks on Sunday night she is going to strike me down, because of who she used to be… she can think again. A lot has changed in Sin City Wrestling, since her return from injury, a lot has changed since she waltz back in here demanding her title be returned to her… and a lot will change on this Sunday night when we come face to face.” Evie spoke coldly.

She moved towards the camera, as cars drove by, honking their horns at Evie but her attention never shifted from the lens of the camera before her. Evie had to show the world that she was locked and loaded for this Sunday night.

“You had beaten me once before, Alicia. You had rattled my cage and spooked me… but let the history show that it wasn’t enough to derail my path towards the World Bombshell Championship and since losing to you, I haven’t looked back… I’ve kept my focus true and I’m doing everything I have set out to accomplish. What’s next for me? Climax Control, Sunday night… I finally get to face you one on one… there won’t be the deadwood of Andrea to block you, there won’t be another pawn in your game it will just be you and I… and a score to fucking settle.” Evie growled. “Best out of three is what I’m calling it because right now we both have one up our sleeves… but Sunday night will be the decider… Climax Control will mark and end of a worldwide debate… of who is the better Bombshell between you and me. Will it be me? The current reigning and defending World Bombshell Champion… or will it be you, with all your hype all your accolades and all your fans?” She sighed.

Evie brushed a strand of her long brown hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear.

“They say the one that makes the most noise, is more deserving… but believe me I’m a strong believer in the silent assassin. And, while you have been riling up the numbers week in and week out, posting your little tweets about how you’re going to be the NEW World Bombshell Championship… you seem to have lost your focus, on what actually matters and that’s walking the walk. You had your chance at Summer XXXTreme to prove to us all that deserved to be flung into that triple threat match, but once again the bark proved to be stronger than your bite.” Evie smirked. “It seems to me, someone is feeling a little lippy, but when it comes to getting down to work, you seem a little sheepish, you seem a little reserved and maybe it’s been all the knock backs lately are finally starting to weigh on your mind… maybe you’re starting to lose that inflated head of yours… maybe you’re starting to realise that Sin City Wrestling carried on fine, without you… and since your return, no one has rolled out the red carpet and given you the treatment you deserve.” Evie smirked.

She took a few steps up towards the camera, her focus unmatched as she continued.

“I’ll give you the treatment you deserve this Sunday night… when I beat you and FINALLY send you packing to the back of the line. So, once again you can watch the bombshells of Sin City Wrestling move forward without you. I get it, it must hurt knowing that the shadow you once casted over this division diminished into nothing more than the darkness that surrounds your confidence.” Evie said, boastfully.

Evie looked across at the World Bombshell Championship that sat proudly over her shoulder. She brought her left hand up, the camera catching a glimpse at her new rock on her ring finger as she tapped her manicured nails over the name plate.

“I plan on giving you the fight of your life. I plan on putting the doubters to bed and putting this bullshit talk about me just being a transitional champion for the Alicia Lukas show to rest. My victory at Summer XXXTreme wasn’t just me proving to the world that I was better than Andrea, it was me proving to the world that I am better than you both and on Sunday night I will finally get to prove to you, that, yes… you’re fucking right… I am one of the best bombshell’s in Sin City Wrestling, you remember when you called me that right? Because in the lead up to Summer XXXTreme that seemed to disappear from your mind set… but hey, I’ll use our one on one match up at Climax Control to prove to you, that I’m better than you. It’s not because I like measuring tits Alicia, it’s because I would love nothing more than to prove to you, that you should never… and I mean ever count me out. You should never assume you have my number and you should have never implied that I was just a steppingstone for you to step on… on your way to becoming the New World Bombshell Champion.” Evie stopped herself.

Evie moved towards the camera once more a wicked smile on her face.

“Because now out of spite, I’ll step all over you just to remain the World Bombshell Champion. Who knew you’d be the door mat, at the gateway of my greatest reign yet… who knew that the fear mongering Alicia Lukas would be the initiation I deserve to show the world what’s coming…” Evie smirked. “and what’s coming next, is the realisation that I’m going to be here for a long, long, long… fucking time and the rest of the Bombshell’s including yourself better get used to it.” She paused.

The Welcome to Las Vegas sign started to flash behind her and on cue, the lights blew, and the sign faded to darkness. The sound of Evie’s laughter hit the airways and the vision faded to black.
