Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the LORD, when I lay my vengeance upon thee

Blow it up, you like the way it burns
You’ll burn at every turn
Soon enough you’re gonna have to learn
When you light the fire to your flame
There’s nothing left to say
Don’t expect for me to call your name

Chapter Ten: A little bundle of surprise
Off Camera
New York City

Alex’s eyes fluttered open, he reached over to Sonja’s side of the bed feeling nothing, the covers pulled back and the space where she would normally be laying felt cold and empty. He looked over at the small digital clock as it clicked over to 6 am. Alex pushed himself out of the bed and yawned moving out of the bedroom looking around. No sign of Sonja except for a light coming from the bottom of the bathroom door. Alex moved closer towards it hearing loud heaving noises and liquid hitting liquid.

Alex opened the door slowly, he looked down to find Sonja holding onto the toilet heaving and looking pale and sick. Alex raised an eyebrow crouching down putting an arm around her rubbing her back lightly. Sonja turned her head looking at Alex with a small smile before a sudden frown as she started throwing up again. Alex shook his head and sighed. “I think I need to get you to a doctor.”

Sonja put her finger in the air tilting it back and forth before grabbing Alex’s shirt as she heaved again. Sonja wiped her mouth and sat back on her heels. “I don’t think I can be separated from my new porcelain best friend.” Alex went to protest but stopped with a sigh nodding his head pulling out his cellphone, he looked for a number dialing it fast before leaving Sonja for a moment. “Hey, yeah I need a Doctor, my wife is throwing up and can’t leave…...yes….yes the address is {REDACTED}...Manhattan New York. Thank you…”

Alex hung up the phone and turned walking back in finding Sonja laying down clutching the toilet with one arm and her own stomach with the other. “Babe...this isn’t good….” Sonja shook her head unable to really speak, she heaved and slid up over the toilet before holding it in, Alex lightly drew his hand over her back again rubbing lightly back and forth as Sonja seemed to breath more easily, slow and steady as she took one last deep breath. “That feels good…..”

After a few minutes the doorbell went off, Alex walked out to the hallway and opened the door, a young man with thin wire-framed glasses stepped in with a medical bag. “Mr. Jones is it?.” Alex gave a small nod and led him through the living area and past the large kitchen to the bathroom, Sonja sat on the floor, her hair down and in front of her face as she heaved again. The doctor gave a nod and walked in as Alex backed off. He heard some conversation and mumbling. The doctor laughed a little and stepped out closing the door behind him.

“Mr. Jones, was this a sudden onset with the vomiting?” Alex thought about it for a moment and shook his head. “Well she hadn’t mentioned anything, I travel for work and she stayed here to look after our business here. But this is the first I’ve seen or heard.” He gave a small nod as Alex looked at the door wondering what was going on. The doctor adjusted his notepad and smiled a little. “What are you smiling at?..my wife is really sick and I-”

The doctor put his hand up scribbling a few notes down with a sigh. “Mr. Jones, I assure you your wife isn’t dying and doesn’t have a terminal illness. It could be a case of food poisoning, a stomach bug or...well we’ll just wait.” Alex raised an eyebrow as the doctor put his hand on Alex's’ shoulder. The door opened and Sonja called the doctor in, he stepped through and closed the door behind him. After a few moments, he stepped back out tucking a small vile of blood into a storage container. He looked at Alex and held out his hand shaking it. “Congratulations I can see myself out…”

Alex looked confused as the doctor moved to the front door, he then turned going into the bathroom as Sonja slowly looked up at him, still not feeling well, still pale but with a small smile on her face. “3 weeks” Alex raised an eyebrow. “What?” Sonja laughed and held her mouth for a moment and then her stomach before clearing her throat. “3 Weeks is what the little stick says…” She held it up for Alex to see. A small white plastic stick with the front covered by a clear cap, A small digital screen reads “Positive 3-4 weeks” Alex shakes and lowers his hands staring at Sonja who slowly gets to her feet.

“Well?. You need to say something.” Sonja raised an eyebrow looking worried as Alex stayed silent. His jaw opened but nothing came out as he looked back down at the test and then back to Sonja, his heart nearly exploding from his chest. “Are you upset?” Alex let out a small laugh before setting the test down, he then turned and picked Sonja up in his arms spinning her around, Sonja shook her head and heaved. “Please...don’t do that…” Alex laughed and swallowed before stroking her cheek.

“How could I ever be upset?...you’re pregnant” Sonja gave him a small nod and put her hand against his as it rested on her cheek. “That is what the little stick says.” She smiled as Alex leaned in for a kiss, Sonja pulled back and shook her head. “You might not want to do that..at least wait till I can use mouthwash” Alex smiled and kissed her cheek instead placing a hand on her stomach. Sonja stayed silent and slowly slid against his body squeezing Alex tight. They stood together for a moment as Alex kissed her forehead. “We need to celebrate…I need to call Pixie!....”

Sonja laughed as she clung onto him. “We need to go out to dinner tonight, somewhere really nice. Somewhere that sells that chocolate mousse you like, you know the wobbly one with the-” “Oh god” Sonja shoved Alex back running into the bathroom again as she heaved and held her hair back. Alex raised an eyebrow and sighed. “Was it something I said?”

Setting Records

”Well, that isn’t how we wanted to win, but all things considered I don’t blame Mackenzie for doing what she did.”

Alex Jones slides his hands into the pockets of his black jeans, his black biker boots making a loud clunk sound on the floor as he comes to a stop near a large window looking down onto the streets of London from a hotel room.

”Goth is a horrible, disgusting, perverted relic. And he didn’t deserve to get close to this match. Mackenzie put in so much hard work and I hot she gets the recognition she deserves but Goth?. If he’s going to stick around, our paths might cross again someday and he might find out why I was a member of the Dogs of war and why I am now the leader of Wolfslair. See, in a very short amount of time, we have taken over SCW. The two championships that mean most in this company are in our possession and I am one match away from winning the Blast from the past and having an all Wolfslair match for that SCW heavyweight championship.”

“One match away…”

“And honestly I wouldn’t have got this far if it wasn’t for Devona. When I was matched up with her in this I did a little research and I saw what kind of career she had before she left and I was amazed. She was a true talent, a diamond in the rough and I knew she was someone I could team with and be successful. See Alicia and I would have been the perfect team but putting that aside Devona is the only person aside from Alicia where I know if I handle my half she’ll handle hers.”

“And now we have one more hurdle, one more match and one more night to prove we deserve this.”

Alex smirks, his long black hair tied back in a bun as his boyish grin shines under his beard. His upper body covered by a brand new Wolfslair hoodie available from Wolfslairshop.com, yes cheap plug get over it.

”And we’ll be doing it against another team who has been incredible. I can’t fault them, you don’t get to the finals without working hard and that is exactly what Kale Smith and Brittany Williams have done. They were even able to eliminate Alicia from the tournament. Admittedly she was stuck with an opponent who was rustier than a steel gate in the ocean but they still did it. Hell Brittany has been somewhat impressive. She’s the daughter of a good friend of mine, see while Alicia hates Crystal I really don’t, Crystal and I have known each other for years and little Brittany has grown up to be very similar to her mother…”

“In all the wrong ways…”

“See Britt, I like you kid, I do. But you have a chance to right the wrongs of your parent's careers. Crystal always took her movie career more seriously, she never committed to the wrestling business the way she should have and Todd was always more distracted by other things too, you have a shot at being something truly special. Hell, you are the youngest champion in SCW history and at your young age, you have more talent than some people twice as old as you with four times the experience.”

“But, as I said...you are making the same mistakes...namely your ego…”

“I get ti kid I do, with all this talent and being born into the business you believe you are one of the best and you deserve the world. But the problem is, you don’t. You don’t deserve the world handed to you on a silver platter. You still have to earn everything you get and even though you have said that I look into your eyes and I can tell you don’t fucking believe it. But you and Kale win this match, then you will have earned something, the only issue is to win this you have to get past myself and Devona, and I’m sorry kid...but Devona is levels above you. Not to say you won’t get there someday...but as of right now...Devona is one of the best on this planet…”

Alex nods slowly and turns before sitting down.

”But how could I forget the other name in this match, the guy who I’ll be getting in the ring with. The 6’2 Australian sensation with a winning smile and a look to make all the women in the audience need fresh underwear. You know Kale when you first walked back into SCW I wondered how’d you go, see back in 2016 when you first came here you went one and one. You lost your second match and then promptly disappeared. Here we are three years later and you have been able to take the SCW world by storm. You beat that idiot Caleb Storms, you and Brittany won your Blast from the past matches and now you are on the brink of getting a life-changing opportunity.”

“You win this tournament and you get a shot at whoever wins the SCW championship match after London Brawling. You could be getting in the ring with Fenris, Ty, Caleb or, more than likely Austin. What a story it would be, a return, an amazing run, and a title opportunity to take a career no one really cared about and etch your name into history.”

“And all you have to do is hope your partner beats Devona, or hope you can somehow beat me. Now, I’m not going to say you don’t have the skillset to do this, I’m not going to say you’re not impressive, cause you are. But what I will say is that you are taking a huge step up in competition. You started off your return with Caleb, who is a joke, Joshua Acquin, who is just as big of a joke, or Blade Alexander who..well...he may as well have just walked away since his return was a giant disappointment. Nah Kale, now you’re facing one of the best professional wrestlers on the planet, a man who has held more world titles than most people have had matches, a guy who has been at the top of this business for over a decade. And it’s not just arrogance here….it’s the truth.”

“You are stepping in the ring with the king of the jungle...and when that dust settles you’re going to know if you were the hunter or the hunted...and London Brawling will be a moment born of infamy….as Alex Jones gets another notch on his belt and another accolade on the list….but don’t feel bad Kale….you still got to the final..you still surprised the world...you’re just going to come up a little short..”

Mackenzie: Okay, explain this to me. Your first time in London. You could have asked me to show you anything, anywhere! Buckingham Palace! Westminster Abbey! The British Museum! ... Hell! Hyde Park!

Devona: Your point?

Devona chuckled as Mackenzie walked alongside side of her. Mackenzie was a volatile individual, seemingly angry in a perpetual state. But over such a trifle? No, this was more a perplexed annoyance than anything else.

Mackenzie: My point is .... why Covent Garden?

And yes, that is indeed where the star of this here promo was, along with her special tour guide, assigned to her by Daniel Morgan. Covent Garden lay in the West End of London, and was the city's main theater and entertainment area. There were no cars or vehicles of any sort in Covent Garden, as it was all for tourists to walk or for some, even bike through. There were fashion stores and crafts, restaurants and even London's Transport Museum. That was where the two wrestling Bombshells wandered about, their eyes falling upon everything from seemingly ancient horse drawn carriages, sans horses obviously ... to early double decker buses and even early black and white photographs and more!

Devona shook her head as she turned her head this way and that, her eyes taking it all in.

Devona: Oh what Beast would probably give to be here right now!

She looked at Mackenzie and smiled.

Devona: He absolutely loves this sort of thing!

Mackenzie: Just so long as he leaves the other one at home.

Devona laughed, shaking her head.

Devona: Sorry girl! I doubt Beauty would let his brother do anything fun without following!

Mackenzie scoffed and turned away, examining a black and white photograph on the wall of four women with buckets, standing outside of a single decker bus.

Mackenzie: You still haven't answered me. Why Covent Garden? It's actually meant to rain today and here we are, under that bright, gray sky.

Devona: Oh it's not quite that bad! And besides, it's not like either of us are going to melt.

Devona flashed her a smile and Mackenzie all but rolled her eyes. The two women joined each other side by side and they took their leave of the museum, and kept walking past the tourists who also ignored the aforementioned weather. And the weather wasn't terrible per se. It wasn't even bad. Contrary to popular belief, London wasn't always raining.

It was, just today the forecast called for it. The sun was hidden behind clouds that had more of a gray overcast to them, and one could practically smell the moisture in the air. It wasn't a bad thing to experience, mind you.

Devona: We've already seen a few of the big things in town with the others. This? I thought could just be you and me. I hazard a guess Kristjan would hate this, and Dani is hanging somewhere with Charlotte. I thought a stroll through Covent Garden could be a bit of time just fir us, maybe make sure we're good.

Devona turned to Mackenzie and lifted her eyebrows in wonder.

Devona: Are we?

It took perhaps a moment or two longer than Devona would have hoped, but the slight curl to Mackenzie's lips did more to ease her mind than what she said could have accomplished.

Mackenzie: We're good.

Devona smiled brilliantly at hearing this, and the two women found themselves walking past the street performers in front of St. Paul's Church. They saw one man juggling and another balancing himself upon a pedestal on one hand with his body completely horizontal to the ground. A four string quarter was performing alongside two older buildings and drew a respectable crowd, as did a clown across the way. But there was a larger than life crowd here in the plaza, all huddled closely together and drawing the curiosity of even Mackenzie who hadn't known quite that large of a crowd in the Garden.

Mackenzie: What the fu--?

And the lyrics of a song was they heard being sung, accompanied by the playing of a personal guitar.

"Who are the people that make you feel alive?
Are any of them standing by your side?
Are you chasing every sunset?
Are you facing every fear?
Are you reaching even higher?
When your dreams all disappear?...."

As the two women approached the crowd and Devona peered closely over the shoulders of a family in front of them, the performer caught her eye and her face lit up.

Devona: No ... no way!

Mackenzie: What?

Mackenzie watched as Devona went about, searching for an opening in the crowd for a closer look and she immediately followed, not knowing what the hell was happening to have caused such an influx of excitement for Devona. She moved right along after her, not wanting to lose her in this crowd.

Mackenzie: What is it!?

The singing continued as they moved about the crowd until Mackenzie herself found an opening recently vacated by a couple. Devona almost missed it until Mackenzie grabbed her by the arm and pulled her in for a closer view at what was before them. Devona practically gasped in surprise, and her steepled fingers clasped over her smiling lips. Just a few yards away, a man with shaggy, shoulder length hair stood with a guitar and an open case at his feet, strumming the guitar with skill as he sang to those gathered around him. But it wasn't the performer that had drawn so many around him.

It was the ginger cat that sat relaxed at his feet, its eyes almost closed in contentment. One by one, people moved in gently to drop some spare cash into the open guitar case, the feline never even flinching from being in such close proximity.

Mackenzie shrugged.

Mackenzie: It's just a busker. We have them all over the place. What's so special about this one?

In answer to her question, Devona pointed toward a small table that had stacks of books on it, and a blown up picture of that ginger cat that read, "A Street Cat Named Bob." So as not to be overheard directly, Devona leaned in closer to whisper just loud enough for Mackenzie to hear.

Devona: That's James Bowen. He was homeless and busking for a long time, had some problems with substance abuse, when he found Bob. Or maybe Bob found him. Anyway, the cat practically adopted James, got into his apartment and just stayed. James tried to set him loose but Bob wouldn't go for it. That cat even followed him onto a double decker bus as he was going downtown to perform. They started drawing national attention, got thousands of youtube hits, and he was contacted to write a book about his experiences and how he met Bob. James was struggling but that cat gave him all the reason in the world to keep living.

Mackenzie listened, and even a  hardened individual such as she found it difficult to not be impressed by someone working so hard to heal and get a better life for themselves under such circumstances. The song ended, and everyone around James applauded politely, offering up their contributions to the guitar case as he thanked them politely.

Devona then took that all-important step forward, and Mackenzie found herself reluctantly following. As the crowd either dispersed or moved on to the table where a young woman was assisting in the book sales, James looked up at the approaching Bombshells.

Devona: I had no idea you were still busking!

James: Oh yeah luv, old habits. Plus the money goes to good causes; homelessness, animal welfare...

Devona smiled and leaned forward, dropping some of her own exchanged currency into the guitar case.

James: Thanks! Are you American?

Devona nodded, figuring perhaps her accent might have given her away.

Devona: Guilty as charged. My friend here and I are in London for a wrestling event.

James nodded, as Mackenzie felt the need to interject herself.

Mackenzie: Except her friend is from London, and I'm not the one wrestling. She is.

James: Wow, a real celebrity, eh? Care to say hello to Bob?

Devona's entire face lit up with that offer, her eyes wide and she practically squealed... Mackenzie closed her eyes and shook her head.

Mackenzie: I think that was a yes.

Devona slowly leaned down in front of the tabby and Bob's green eyes opened to look up at her. AA trusting cat, and one obviously calm and relaxed around people. Devona extended her index finger and gently started to give Bob a scratch under the chin and along his jaw, and Bob's eyes closed in contentment, a soft purr beginning to be heard from within him. Devona almost gushed.

Devona: This makes this entire trip worth everything!

Mackenzie then found herself with Devona's camera in her hand and she snapped a picture of James on one side, Devona on the other, and Bob the cat perched between them. Devona stood up and she gave James a quick hug.

Devona: I just wish I had brought my copy of your book! I could have gotten it signed!

Why was Mackenzie not surprised that Devona already had the book? Probably a first edition, knowing her as an animal lover.

James: Aw I think we can take care of that. If you grab one over there, Bob and I will sign it.

No more needed to be said, and the smile never left her face as Devona turned and hurried over to the table where a few people remained, purchasing the offered book. As she waited her turn, Devona turned and blinked back in surprise at what she was seeing;

Mackenzie was leaning down and giving Bob a scratch behind his ear to much appreciation from the purring cat. Mackenzie then glanced up and saw the smiling face of her friend and pseudo-sister.

Mackenzie: Shut up.

She stood up and walked up to join Devona at the table. Devona was fighting valiantly to keep a straight face over what she had just seen but finding it quite difficult.

Devona: But...

Mackenzie: Shut. Up!

A horse drawn carriage with a royal crest on the door worked its way across the dirt path, smoothed over by years of use. They were handsome stallions pulling the carriage as it passed an arched gate and made its way toward the palace in the distance. A palace of grand stature, in the midst of carved statues, perfectly trimmed shrubbery and a garden that dazzled both the eyes as well as the senses. A garden unlike any other in London.

The carriage slowly came to a stop, the horses ending their trek and neighing gently, tossing their heads back. The driver of the carriage stepped down and walked around to soothe the horses, stroking them along their strong necks, while the second man, a royal attendant,, walked to the door of the carriage and opened it, standing primly while awaiting.

And from the carriage emerged a princess; dressed in a flowing, violet gown and velvet gloves. Two more men rushed forward to lay out the carpet and unroll it so that her royal majesty's feet not touch the surface of the ground beneath her. The handsome attendant took her gloved hand and Princess Devona stepped forth from the carriage and was escorted into her palace.

Devona: I look out onto my Kingdom and my heart is gladdened. Prince Daniel Morgan seeks to act as chivalrous as I know him to be, stepping forth to defend a ladies honor against the savage Goth. And I, your Princess, I am not one to shy away from active combat to defend and protect my realm. No.

Inside the Royal Palace, the Princess Devona walked up the steps in her court and turned to survey those who stood ready and willing to fulfill their duties by her command. She then slowly took a seat on her throne.

Devona: The battle lines have been drawn, and soon my ally Alex Jones and I shall take the fight to the usurper, Brittany Williams, and the poor man who serves as her pawn, one Kale Smith. Brittany is young, impetuous... believes herself to be far more than she truly is. She wishes to be a true Princess, rather than mere rabble who seeks to rise above their station. Jealousy does that to a sad soul, and she will use any vile means to achieve her goals; including duping poor Kale Smith, a valiant warrior himself, to fight on her behalf. And while I am quite assured that the Grand Prince Alex can and will hold back Kale and defeat him if need be, thus leaving the pretender as my own to deal with.

And deal with her I shall. For too long Brittany has been attempting to cross over into my lands and claim them for her own. She has issued challenges to many, all in a sad attempt to stake a claim to the territory we now call home, somehow trying to work her way in so that she might find a foothold and stay. Only those in power, they know her for what she is, and they refuse her. And thus it comes to this; the final battle. She with her ally, and me with mine. I know well enough when to recognize a threat when I see it, but that threat is what propels me to fight even harder with far more determination than she is capable of. I will not simply hand a victory to this invader. I will not allow her to get past me and get another single step closer in overtaking this Kingdom. My Kingdom.

She sat up straight.

Devona: A true royal, a Princess with the best interests of her Kingdom and her people, does not shy away from entering the very battles that threaten all she holds dear! She does not sit back in safety and contentment while others do her fighting for her. She stands up from her throne and abandons her finery for armor and does battle side by side with those who support her. And unfortunate it is for the Usurper Brittany, the Princess Wannabe, finds herself opposite the battle field with myself.

She drew in a deep breath and all pretenses were forgotten.

Devona: A princess. That's what you truly think of yourself, is it not it Brittany?

For a moment, she paused and scrunched her face up in an expression of mock disbelief.

Devona: I mean, seriously? You remind me of the old advice given to young men by their fathers; never get involved with a young woman whose father calls her 'princess' because chances are she'll grow to believe it. Never before was that more appropriate than where you're concerned. You know, before I got into wrestling and worked with the public, I would see these cute little girls who would walk around in pretty pink dresses and wear costume tiaras and tell everyone that they were princesses and wait for you to acknowledge the fact and tell them how pretty they are. Now I'm pretty sure it's not entirely the father's fault. Mothers would often call their darling girls a princess as well, perhaps as their own fathers called them the same. And to a degree, it's cute. But those were children. Little girls not even ten years old. Brittany, you're eighteen. Almost a grown woman.

Devona shook her head.

Devona: Brittany, you're not a child any longer, and trust me when I say it's not cute. You walk around, listening with rapt attention while your parents call you a princess and you drink it in like a fish starving for water. And what are you supposed to be the princess of, anyway? Wrestling?

She scoffed.

Devona: That's just what we need. Another wrestler who thinks their skills in the ring make them the wrestling elite, even if they've really not done much of anything to prove why they're so-called royalty. You've gotten a  win or two Brittany, but if you were as great as you seem to think you are, wouldn't wrestling companies by the scores be trying to sign you? I mean, SCW has been literally telling you on social media that you were not officially signed with them! That doesn't speak so well of you being in demand, now does it? Even your own mother has been trying to get me inside of the ring for one match. Mark Ward has even brought up a time or two a return for myself. Can you say the same?

She closed her eyes and gently shook her head in the negative.

Devona: I didn't think so. So, what then? You're a princess because you inherit the legacies of your parents? Um, what legacies? Well, I shouldn't say that. Your mother has certainly proven herself a certifiable icon in wrestling; having won so many championships so many times, even now is a member of the SCW Hall of Fame! But your dad?

Devona looked left and right, then edged toward the camera.

Devona: What exactly has he done in the sport? Never mind, it was rhetorical. My point is, your parents could be the greatest wrestling legends the world has ever seen, which they're not, but that doesn't make you anything other than their daughter. And if you think using their success to further your own standing in the business? Well sweetheart, that's just sad that you can't stand on your own without the reputations of mommy and daddy standing beneath you like a life preserver. I've known girls like you my whole life, Brittany. Egotistical little bullies who thinks the world should be handed to them on a silver platter just because mommy and daddy said she was 'pretty.' Living like that just shows you both expect and enjoy riding the coattails of your parents' established reputations rather than put in the necessary work to establish your own! Well the world doesn't work like that chick, especially my world! And this Sunday, I'm going to prove just that.

Devona leaned back in the throne and crossed her legs, now the reason for her comfort apparent as she was seen wearing a pair of comfortable high tops beneath the fancy gown as opposed to a pair of fancy heels.

Devona: And now that I've had a bit of fun, it's time to address a different subject.

She smoothed her gown with her gloved hands and looked on into the camera from where she sat upon her throne.

Devona: Kale, you've been nothing shy of a real sweetheart ever since this tournament first started. A true gentlemen, even before the tournament pairings were first made official. I can still remember that little wish to Santa Clause where I was concerned, and teasing or not, it was still charming. But unfortunately you came to find out that grown men don't always get what they want from that jolly ol' elf, and fate intervened so that we both ended up with different partners. I was more than thrilled with my own partner in Alex Jones, and perhaps I let it get a bit into my head which caused some fireworks with my 'sister' Mackenzie. And you? Well...

She nodded with much sympathy.

Devona: Hard luck. I know... you've been nothing but supportive of Brittany, as you should be as she is your partner and together, you've gotten this far. Just as Alex and I have made it all the way to the finals opposite you. You've spoken up for Brittany, and you've defended her against all the nay sayers where she and your team has been concerned. That does nothing but speak highly of you as a man and a professional. But...

She held up a forefinger.

Devona: I want to take this moment to take a trip down memory lane and remind you of something. Just as a precaution, if you'll indulge me. Three years ago, in 2016, the fourth annual Blast From the Past tournament. Brittany's own mother was involved and her partner was one of the most loved young men in the sport, Despayre. Now I know this was during your time off and you might not be familiar with everything that happened, so that's why I wanted to bring this up. While they were teamed, Crystal made nice with Despayre, acting friendly and sweet. She treated him with respect and was supportive in every way imaginable.

On March 6 in Eureka, California, Despayre and Crystal met Traci Patterson and none other than Goth in the opening round. It was Despayre who made Goth tap out so that the team would advance to the Quarter-Finals.

Then on March 20 in Fort Defiance, Arizona, Despayre and Crystal met an old nemesis of Despayre's, the "Freight Train of Pain" Casey Williams and probably the greatest female to set foot in an SCW ring, Roxi Johnson! Despite the obvious size differences between them, Despayre has always had Casey's number and this time was no different. That little guy actually somehow made that mountain of a man tap out so he and Crystal could advance to the Semi-Finals.

The very next week on March 27 in Tempe, Arizona, Despayre and Crystal met Connor Murphy and Melanie Gabrielle to see who would advance to the finals at Blaze of Glory V. Despayre pinned Connor, giving his team the win for the third straight time. And that led us to the finals, where Crystal and Despayre met Lucy Seraphina and one of the true greats in wrestling, Spike Staggs. Can you guess what happened?

Devona shook her head.

Devona: No, this time it was Crystal, not Despayre, who pulled off the win. Many believed it wasn't possible for Despayre and Crystal to overcome these two, but they did it. And it was Crystal who scored the win for her team, pinning Lucy in the center of the ring. What do you think happened, Kale? Hm? Not even twenty four hours passed before Crystal showed her true colors. That same night, right after Blaze of Glory V ended, Crystal posted a tweet and not only did she take full credit for she and Despayre winning the Blast From the Past, but she openly made fun of and mocked her partner, after all he did for her.

Now it was true that Crystal got the final win in the tournament, but refused to acknowledge it was also the only win she managed to score in the entire event. Gabriel and others came to Despayre's defense and told her that she never would have gotten as far as she did were it not for him but she refused to listen.

Devona paused and leaned over, resting her forearms on her knees.

Devona: My point Kale, is this; what makes you think that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree? If somehow you and Brittany get past Alex and myself, do you think Brittany will share the glory? Or will she play the same role her mother did and turn her back on you the moment all use she had for you is finished and done? But then again, that would mean you two getting past Alex and myself.

Devona sat back comfortably in the throne and clasped her hands demurely on her lap. She smiled and cast a wink into the camera, aimed directly at Kale himself.

Devona: And sweet pea, that just isn't going to happen. As they say in royal circles my dear -- eat cake.

From off camera, a gloved hand in a royal uniform extends just far enough on screen to hold out a small saucer with a slice of chocolate cake on it. Devona blinked at it, then shrugged, accepting it. Picking up the fork, she proceeded to dig in...

Devona: I can think of worse ways to end a promo.

End

Kale & Brittany Williams Vs Devona & Alex Jones

 Maya Riviera, Mexico
Unico All Inclusive Resort (Where my honey moon will be at in 2 months! \'smile.gif\' )
Honey Moon

Not many people would have done what Brittany Williams would have done. It was one thing to turn 18 and to have the biggest birthday bash that a girl could ever have but to get married on a whim and rush right into the confines of adulthood is something that Brittany never saw herself doing but she did so with a passion. Brittany was happily enjoying her honeymoon and birthday all at the same time as her journey brought her to that of the beautiful Maya Riviera in Mexico. Brittany smiled as she made sure to let the entire world know that she was a new woman who just joined into adulthood as she had booked her and Halo’s honeymoon to be at an all inclusive ADULT only resort called Unico. It’s not like it mattered if it was all inclusive or not but Brittany had all the money where she could do whatever she wished. Brittany smiled as she glared at the pool in front of her. She wore her shades and made sure to have plenty of tanning oil on her skin as she was sunbathing. She held a Pina Colada tightly in her hand as she took a small sip of it and grinned.

“Isn’t this the life?! Sun, relaxation, and everyone finally respecting me for being an adult. It just doesn’t get any better than this if I do say so myself!”

Brittany wore a tiny two piece bikini. One that showcased her amazing body and of course her beautiful shapely butt. Her long curly hair draped down her back as she was just taking in the sun proudly.

“I ain’t never seen anything like this…”

Her wife, her near polar opposite in every way, Haylie Jo “Halo” Annis, sits next to her in a matching chair, an AMF sitting next to her. Halo was also in a bikini, showing off her long legs and long blonde hair.

“It never occurred to me… this…”

Brittany however could only smile in return as she slowly took her shades off as she looked over at her wife. She slowly sat up as the confidence escaped her lips.

“It never occured what?! That you are the luckiest woman in the entire world?! After all you did get to be married with a princess. A woman who is the heiress to not one but two great legacies. Yes you should be thankful that Jordan dumped me because that allowed you to be next to me. That gave you the chance to be the princess’ escort and it doesn’t get any higher than that. No more waiting on the welfare line anymore or even questioning about your social status because you are strictly at the top now. Williams always do it big, Hilton’s always live life in the spotlight, and now you get to be a part of that for the rest of your life. Isn’t that so amazing?!”

Brittany chuckles as she is truly a spoiled brat. She takes another sip of her drink leaving the glass practically full as she yells at the top of her lungs.

“Waitress I think I want a strawberry daiquiri and I want it right now!”

Brittany smiles as she looks at her wife again.

“Babe do make sure NOT to drink the water while we are here. It really isn’t the best and you will get sick if you take a sip of it…”

Halo raises her glass.

“Don’t think that’ll be a problem with this here AMF…”

Brittany rolls her eyes as she looks back at her wife.

“Wow… Why do you always have to be a show off?! I mean you want to see someone showing off…”

With that Brittany stands up and as soon as she does she pulls the bikini from out of her butt. This instantly draws the attention of some of the men that are at the resort. They can’t keep their eyes off of the caramel beauty as she their respective wives and of course women slap them. Brittany blows kisses to some of them as she slowly looks back at Halo with a grin.

“Jealous at all?! Go on and admit it I have a really nice body. It’s absolutely gorgeous and the best thing you have ever seen…”

Halo snickers.

“Somebody’s in a damn good mood, y’all!”

Brittany quickly nods her head in agreement as she slowly crawls towards her wife.

“Of course I am in a good mood. This has been the best time in my life. I married a beautiful woman. My wrestling career is turning out to be super amazing. If I win my next match I will in position to get a big time World Title opportunity. That is absolutely insane and it doesn’t really get any better than that. Maybe what I saw in the future is in fact a reality. It’s all going to come true. I saw myself with a World Championship replica on the wall. Maybe this is how it all comes into play. Not only did I see that but I saw two children who resemble me calling themselves the Annis twins. That is what I want to be in my future. That is what I saw and I need to make sure it comes to pass. You think it’s going to be a reality or perhaps it’s just an alternate timeline. I hope it’s all forreal.”

Brittany smiles as she takes Halo’s drink and begins to drink from it. Brittany’s face turns sour as she looks back at Halo seeming to be disgusted.

“EWWW Oh My Goshie that is so fucking strong. That stuff is going to kill you if you aren’t careful!”

Halo can’t help but laugh.

“Had it before…granted, last time the guy who bought it for me was just tryin’ to get into my pants and ended up passed out on the floor of the bar.”

Brittany raises an eyebrow as she crosses her arm seeming to be a bit jealous.

“So how many guys have you been with if you don’t mind me asking?!”

Halo shrugs.

“Only a couple, most of the ones who tried couldn’t hold their liquor worth a damn. Lot of them never had a prayer, not that I was gonna tell them that when they were buying me a drink at the time. Logan was the only one who was worth a damn.”

Brittany nodded her head as she looked back at her wife.

“Okay and of course it was really only me and Jordan… I thought Jordan was going to be the one for me. I didn’t give a fuck if he was part of the Kane wrestling family and my family has always feuded with the Kanes. We were your modern day Romeo and Juliet. I would have done anything for him. I would have been there for him but one thing he just kicks me to the curb and reveals he has been seeing someone else. I have never felt so hurt in my life and I guess that is when we came together. I am happy how things ended up. I never saw myself with a girl to be honest. Yet after seeing how mama Sel treats my mom, after seeing how you genuinely cared about me I am happy to give it try. Of course if you are just using me for the money and I am using you for the sex then I guess that’s okay too,,,”

Brittany laughs as she takes another sip from her drink. She stands up stretching and finds herself leaning backwards to the point she is about to lose her balance and fall in the direction of the pool but she catches herself and stands firm at the edge.

“God I feel like I have drinked so much… Never really got wasted before… You won’t frown at me if I can’t hold my liquor will you?! I am no Mark Ward but I can try my best!”

Brittany laughs as she looks back at her wife.

“I love you, if it’s time we stop with the alcohol, spose it’s time we stop.  Ain’t no problem.”

“Stop?! Stop?! Who said anything about stopping… I will have you know that….”

Brittany tries to take a step but she finds herself wobbling and she falls right into the pool. She pulls herself to the edge just sighing as she looks over at Halo with a grin on her lips.

“God… Guess I am quite the lightweight ain’t I?!”

Halo shrugs while grinning back.

“Everybody gotta start somewhere.”

Brittany nods her head as she smiles in return as she grabs her wife by the leg and yanks her right into the pool. She giggles as Halo pops up from out of the water as she begins to splash her over and over again.

“So talk to me babe you never did answer my question about the future. What do you think about the things that I saw?! I really saw myself holding a World Championship and us having two children. I don’t know how far in the future that was but I want that lifestyle. I used to hate people calling me a Crystal Jr but it really appears if things are going that way. I could be a winner of the Blast From The Past Tournament just like her. I could eventually win the World Bombshell Championship like she did. She got her big break by winning this very tournament. Do you think I have a good chance to do so babe?!”

“You’re in the finals, ain’t you? Of course you have a good chance! You’re Brittany fucking Williams, Heiress to the Hilton Empire, Holder of the Sacred….”

She trails off and then shakes her head.

“Shit, I forgot how that one goes. Oh well, point is, damn right you got a shot! Bigger picture, who gives a damn if you’re “a Crystal Junior?” You ARE her daughter but you are also NOT her! You’re your own damn woman and you can be whoever you damn well please! If that means you are her Mini Me, well, shit, there’s worse things to be than a multi-time world champion and hall of famer!”

Brittany smiles as she nods her head in agreement.

“I guess you do have a point and who really gives a shit?! After all I am me. I have royalty in my blood and I didn’t come all this way to just drop the fucking ball. If it’s not me who was meant to take over the empire who else would it be?! Don’t even answer that it’s not like there is anyone out there who is as worthy as I am. It won’t be long until I get what’s rightfully mine. The world wants to shit on me because they feel I am not good enough but I proved that I belong to be right where I am at. Afterwards comes all of the accolades, there comes the spotlight, and of course finally be acknowledged as being the best. Children will come and I will keep on building that legacy. It’s going to feel really good to make everyone bow down before me. I am going to take great pride in doing so and I get to share all of these beautiful moments with you. It just doesn’t get any better than this does it?!”

Halo shrugs, grinning ear to ear.

“No, I spose it really don’t.”

“Good… That’s what I like to hear from the woman that’s in my life. It’s time to take things one step at a time. After this comes flying out to London and winning a tournament and after that comes the biggest celebration of all time. If you think this honeymoon is great wait until you see what I have in store if Kale and I find ourselves winning. It’s going to be quite the celebration. Something that won’t ever be forgotten. Something that everybody is going to remember for a very long time…”

“This oughtta be good!”

“Damn right it’s going to be good, it’s going to be great… Why don’t we take things back to the room. Are you thinking what I am thinking?!”

Brittany says with an evil grin as she looks back at Halo with a smirk on her lips.

“I love you!”

Brittany raises her eyebrows.

“Wow you didn’t have to get all excited all I wanted to do was spend the entire night ordering every single thing i possibly could for room service. After all it is an All Inclusive Resort so might as well test the limits and order EVERYTHING on the menu you to the room, not to mention order every single movie we possibly can. It’s going to be an amazing night and I am so happy that I could share this marriage with you. I don’t need a time machine to know that my future with you is going to be so bright…”

With that Brittany and Halo both giggle as they continue to swim for a bit as they have a huge night and weeks to come ahead of them.

On Camera
All Hail The Princess

Everything comes into focus and as it does we are able to see Brittany Williams walking into the view of the camera with her Tiara on and her long robe. She smiles as she walks towards an item that is in a box. She opens the box up and it is revealed to be a huge crown. Brittany can’t help but offer a long chuckle as she looks at the crown and she takes it and holds it in her hand as she slowly moves her eyes to that of the camera.

“All hail princess has finally arrived and it feels so great to join all of you once again. I just want to say from the bottom of my heart that it feels so amazing to be in London this week, and by this week I made sure to get the hell out of Manchester as soon as we won our semifinals match. I mean a girl just turned 18 and she already got married and as soon as she did I was so quick to go to a place of hot sun and relaxation in beautiful Mexico. Now I guess it’s time to get back to reality as I get to go to that of London England. I am going to the very land of a monarchy itself in the form of London where everyone pays respect to the royal family and it’s queen but the only one who deserves that of any respect is yours truly. I AM THE PRINCESS OF WRESTLING! I am the woman who has wrestling in her blood from both sides of her family and after I win this match on Sunday I will officially make the jump from being a princess to that of a queen. It’s going to be great to go through my coronation process and I am tired of waiting for the crown. I want it right now!”

Brittany blows kisses to the cameras as she continues to speak some more.

“Since I been in this company people have stated that I might be my mother’s daughters. After all I am Crystal 2.0 in the eyes of all of you. That’s all I have ever been and I really tried to deny it because I am my own woman. I have my own talents and coming out of my mom’s Vah Jay Jay only brought me into this world but it was my efforts at being a superb athlete that brought me to the next level. It brought me to a level that nobody is on and through everything I am the one that has positioned herself to be in the finals of this tournament. So I want to give special thanks to the main person who has been there for me since the beginning of this tournament. The one person who needs to be thanked because without them this would not be possible and that person is none other than ME!!! Of course it’s me you piss ants who else would I be thanking?! Yeah I know a lot of it goes to me drawing a fabulous partner but I held my own. I did what I had to do and I always hold my own… It’s what I have been doing since I got here and I finally feel that things will finally be justified by the end of this tournament…”

Brittany nods her head in agreement as she continues to speak.

“I am fixing the timeline of me not receiving the proper respect that I rightfully deserve. Sure I might have bit off more than I could have chewed in the form of Evie Baang. I might have went AWOL and I had become one of the quietest bombshells on the roster but that still doesn’t take away the fact that I am a warrior. That I am a woman who calls out the best of the best and most importantly than that I am a legend bombshell killer! I step in the ring with the best of the best and I instantly usurp them. Just like it did with my mother my first Blast From The Past tournament didn’t end so well but now look at me. I am glaring at the finals. I am right where I belong and if things get played right I will be a tournament winner and getting the title opportunity that I deserve. It just doesn’t get any better than that does it?!”

Brittany holds up one finger as she laughs in return.

“Actually it could. I could go on to become World Bombshell Champion but I need to take small steps in order to get there. Devona I don’t believe we have met one another. In case you might not know I am Brittany Williams, I am the proud descendant of the Williams and Hilton family. I am a third generation wrestler and in order words I am simply better than you. You might have gotten training from the likes of Odette and Gabriel… Or it really doesn’t matter because I have had the best of the best helping me. Not only do I have my mommy and daddy, but I had my Aunt Jenny, I had my Aunt Zelda, I had my grandfather and I am just a great mixture of fun and excitement. The same type of excitement that went on to decimate Sam Marlowe and become the youngest champion in this company’s history. Point… Fucking…Blank… That’s something that can’t be taken away from me and it will be a record that will live on forever…”

Brittany quickly shakes her head as she continues to speak.

“But don’t think that my story ends just there or with me being birthed into the business because I still had to find my own way to get to where I am at. My biggest start came in the form of being a ring announcer. I got to announce everyone else coming down to the ring. I lived the life of watching everybody under the sun make their way down to the ring with the intention to fight and I knew it in my heart that I wanted to do the same very thing. I got to see people helping set up the ring among other aspects and it was great to just witness it all before my very eyes. I think I was groomed to be here and I deserve to be in the main event. This tournament is my way to tell everybody else to shove it when I wasn’t granted another chance at Alicia Lukas. This is my chance at redemption and to finally take what I want without anybody questioning if I belong or not. This is my story and nobody will ruin these pages that I am writing. You however have had your own share of a fairy tale story. You managed to become something of importance in this company…”

Brittany begins to clap her hands as she offers a smile in return.

“No seriously you actually found a way to end the nine month Internet Championship reign of Mikah and you made the title your very own. You have had one of the best records in this company and that’s not a feat to be taken likely. Whenever somebody beats Mikah they need to be taken seriously and your record is absolutely impressive. Since being in this company you managed to only lose one time. That is beautiful and it’s no wonder why my mother has been desperately trying to challenge you for the longest. You see I think the biggest disappointment about you Devona and when you lost to Diamond you just couldn’t find yourself. It’s as if you hit rock bottom and you disappeared. What the fuck happened to you? Winners continue to fight. Even if they lose they somehow pick themselves up and they keep on fighting yet you simply left leaving my mother to pick up the pieces that you left as she went on to beat the shit out of Diamond proving herself to be the true Internet Champion…”

Brittany shakes her head as she looks away.

“I really am disgusted because for my mom a match with you would have been her entire dream. She wanted to tangle up with such a rising and promising star to have a battle between two of the best black females to have stepped foot inside of an SCW ring but I don’t know why she even tried to bother with it in the first place. I don’t know why she wanted to be involved with you when all I see is an absolute waste of time. You aren’t anything special. You are just a woman who got beaten and disappeared only to return two years after the fact because you saw the tournament as a chance to fill a female quota of some kind just to be a part of it. That doesn’t make you amazing or even good. As a matter of fact it’s absolutely embarrassing. You should feel ashamed about yourself and I am supposed to take you seriously?! You were practically fangirling to be in the ring with Roxi. That’s just a shame. When it comes to me on the other hand I don’t really give a shit about that. I put Amy Marshall a so called legend in her place and now look at me. Look at where I am at and what I am about to accomplish?! This princess is surely to become a queen but hope isn’t all lost because you have an amazing partner. You get to team up with a man that I know a lot. You get to face the likes of my uncle Alex Jones…”

Brittany smiles as she continues to speak.

“Hello uncle Alex… I am not surprised that you have made it to the finals. I mean I know you are an amazing athlete and to carry Devona on your back makes it all the worthwhile. I know your back is hurting you from doing so. You are one of my mother’s best friends and I have seen you accomplish so much in the wrestling world. I will never forget when you and my father went to absolute war mainly because you two were in the same stable and he wasn’t pulling his weight. You guys fought to hell and back bu at the end of the day you both were close friends and your love for competition sprung you to do amazing things. You are a man who deserves to be the World Champion. I am not even going to question that about you. You are as tough as they come and there’s a reason why you always manage to work through the ranks to get to the very top. It’s the story of your life and it is what you have always managed to do…”

Brittany takes a long deep breath as she continues to speak.

“My biggest problem with your journey is that it just so happens to coincide with my very own. In order for you to accomplish your dream you have to ruin those of the Lil Dream Machine and that is where the both of us will have issues with one another. I live for my dream and this is my only way to get what I want. Even though I know you could wipe the floor with anybody in the male division there is a man on my side who has been absolutely flawless this year and he is a man named Kale. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner. Where I am vulgar, vile, Vain, and vicious he is the complete opposite of me. He is a man who balances me out and considering he has been handling his shit ever since we have teamed up with one another I know this match will be no different. We have beaten teams we shouldn’t have beaten on paper but that’s because he has been elevating his game to best those of his male counterpart. This tournament will be no different and I know he will do what’s needed to take you out. He has too because we both want to be respected by our peers. This is what we have been working for since we got paired up with one another…”

Brittany nods her head as she continues to speak.

“Kale may not like my mouth or appreciate my tactics but he respects the effort that I put in. Even if he wishes to shut me up to stop me from writing checks that he might think I can’t cash. We somehow work well together to make those checks cashable and that’s what it is all about in the end. What a way to blast right into the confines of SCW by not only tearing through the past but by becoming the present. I am also the future and I have seen well into the future to know how all of this will ultimately play out. It can only end with me winning this tournament because it’s what I live for. Uncle Alex I love you so much. Honestly I really do. Some of my greatest memories were spent by hanging out with you but when I want something I make sure I act like a spoiled brat and get what I want. It’s what I always do and this is no different. This is about me and it’s always about me…”

Brittany begins to clap her hands together.

“So I applaud the efforts from the both of you. Especially you Devona you have tried so hard but this is where I must tell you that you simply aren’t on my level. You were never on my level to begin with. It’s GAME OVER for you. All hail the future Queen of this company and your soon to be Blast From The Past Winner Brittany Williams-Annis. A princess is merely a queen in waiting and this week I am ascending to the throne. See you all soon…. Bye bitches and GET ON MY LEVEL!!!”

With that Brittany glares at the crown and she smiles as she takes her tiara off and focuses on that. It is on this image that we fade out on.

Kale & Brittany Williams Vs Devona & Alex Jones

 “GRAAAAAAND FUCKING FINNNNAAAAALLLS, MAAAAATE”

His voice was an excited roar as the black screen lifted to see the smiling face of Sin City Wrestling’s resident Aussie male. The look of slight happiness hadn’t been on his face for quiet a while, well not since his mother passed but the dark rings around his eyes was enough evidence to tell the world that he was still hurting. He was perched on a chair looking towards the camera, his body covered with his stand cargo brown shorts, long sleeved black t-shirt that was unbuttoned three deep, while his brown leather vest was draped over his shoulders. Kale didn’t seem all that interested in glitz and glamour when it came to his match focus parts of his promotional videos, after all the fans wanted to her his words not be distracted by the sounds of sights of a bustling back drop.

“She did it, she fucking did it… Little one got the pin over Amy Santino and spear headed our team into the grand finals, on one of the grandest stages of them all… London Brawling… two.”

Kale lifted his right hand his middle and index finger popping up to flash off the number two, before he chuckled slightly. Truth be told he was excited to be in the finals; it was somewhere he never expected to get to. Running his hand through his long-tangled mess that he called hair, Kale took a brief moment to catch his thoughts before he returned to his promotional video.

“After weeks of hearing people flap their gums about how my tag team partner was going to fail me and how she was going to screw this up for our team, look who ascended the mountain and stopped at nothing to make sure we made it to the fucking peak? I find it funny that all Amy had to preach about last week was how Britt is walking in her parent’s shadows and yet, when the match was said and over Mrs Santino… who was in the spotlight?”

Kale stopped to let his words sink in, it wasn’t unusual for him to take time to applaud his tag team partner Brittany in his promotionals. He wasn’t trying to suck up to her or get in her good graces, he just believed that in a world filled with people so eager and ready to rip Brittany down, it would be refreshing for her to actually hear someone say something nice about her for a change. He also believed this is what set him apart from the rest of the men’s roster at times. Kale didn’t care if you were love or hated, if you treated him like a human, you deserved his respect.

“Just goes to show that another bombshell who stereotyped Brittany as a failure, was reinformed on who the fuck Brittany Williams really is. You like all the others beforehand went after her because she was wanting to be an actress, stating the obvious trying to take a strength of hers and turn it into a weakness and Brittany took on your harsh and ill informed words, like water to a ducks back… and yet, when people do the same to you about your porn career, you cower and lash out with rolly eyes and typed words of straight poison on Twitter. I’m glad to say this, but if you didn’t learn a lesson last week Amy, you fucking should have.”

Kale’s hazel eyes were locked on the lens of the camera, he had taken a liking to his tag team partner and regardless of all the trash people stoke about her Kale believed Brittany deserved to at least have one friend in this world. After all, we all can’t be stand up citizens the like rest of the world. I mean that’s what it was like when Kale watched the world pick on his tag team partner, like a gang in a dark street, like a robber at every turn people were ready with their words, with their slander and for what? Because of who she was? It didn’t sit well with him, the fact that the rest of Sin City Wrestling was just so eager to bury her with dirt and yet, with each shovel of dirt they took aim at Brittany with Kale was happy to see, she just stood over it and left a foot print, leaving her mark on this world.

“Breezing past the likes of Amy was easy for Brittany but as we head towards London Brawling, we both have our work cut out for ourselves. Devona and Alex Jones aren’t to be sneezed at and aren’t to be looked upon like the rest of them… they are smart, calculated and from what I can see from weeks past they learned quickly how to work well together as a team.”

Others might have seen that as Kale highlighting their strengths as puffing smoke up their arses, but he gave credit where credit was due. His journey on the Blast from the Past hadn’t been a violent one, he hadn’t lashed out and intentionally tried to ruin people… it hadn’t taken him to a place that others had to stoop to… Senor Vinnie, I’m looking at you. The Aussie had managed to stay calm and collected for most part of it, letting his words come out freely as he told his story.

“I will not sit here and throw words towards Devona because let’s be honest there are no words I could say, words of hate, or smear would be wasted as they wouldn’t be true. I can’t even begin to try, and tear open her journey in the Blast from the Past because she hasn’t put a foot wrong, I have nothing but respect for Devona… She is a hard working girl, who loves to put on a show but come London Brawling I just have to put all my hopes and prayers into the bank of Brittany Williams and trust me, I know my outspoken forceful tag team partner has what it takes to step up to you Devona and for the love of all England I can’t wait to see you two tear each other apart in the centre of that ring, and I get the honours to say I was right there on the ring apron watching one of the brawls of the night take place and go down.”

Kale rubbed his hands together, he knew that Devona colliding with his tag team partner in the centre of the ring was money right there and he couldn’t wait to witness it first hand at London Brawling. Rocking forward in his seat, Kale brought his hands together before he rested his elbows on his knees, before he rolled his shoulders upwards cracking his bones with each movement it was now time for him to address his opponent at London Brawling and to be honest Kale didn’t know where to begin.

“No Alex Jonesy Jones… I didn’t forget about you mate, trust me I’m very well aware that you and I will have to clash inside the middle of the six-sided ring at them Wembley SSE arena. I know that you’re gunning for the win and I know that you won’t stop at anything until you get to where you want… that’s on top with the Sin City Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship in your hands, so you can house it around your waist. I get it, I really do… it why most of us sign up to become wrestlers to climb our way to the top and be able to stand at the peak and look down at all our hard work and marvel at how far we have come and be proud with the journey we had to take to get there.”

He rested back in his chair, keeping his eyes on the lens of the camera. Facing Alex was going to the hardest match in Kale’s career he couldn’t sugar-coat it, nor could he take away everything to Alex had done to get to this point, but Kale need to rally behind himself or he was going to ruin himself. The worn look on his face told a story that even words couldn’t pronounce, he was doing his best to hang on, even it if was by the tiniest of thread.

“Trust me Mate I get it. I get that you will come to London with thoughts running threw your mind about what it will be like to one day get to go face to face with the current reigning Sin City Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion, I know that your focus will be on that goal because you want nothing more to have your moment, your big fucking moment in the bright lights… I mean you had them before, you worked hard for them and yet each time they chance slipped through your fingertips and that’s why you’re like a dog with a bone this time round because your desperate to be the main event guy once more. I can’t shit on that. I can’t mock that. Hell, I can’t even fucking tear that apart…”

Once again Kale honesty was probably going to be seen as a downfall, but the Aussie just rocked back into his chair with a sigh. A voice that sounded a lot like Alex Rush’s was now screaming at him inside his mind, to cut it all out, all Kale could do was shake his head before he carried on.

“You have an endgame, you have a goal in sight and yet I can honestly sit here and say… all I every wanted to do was earn my way back into Sin City Wrestling, all I ever wanted to was claw my way back onto the grandest stage of them all and be apart of the best roster in the world and now since I’ve taken a second to think about it… I’ve done that. I was able to grab my dreams by the balls and take it. Never in a million years did I think my return to Sin City Wrestling world lead me to where I am today.”

His right hand fell to his side, as his left hand reached up to scratch at his beard Kale needed to be very careful with what he was going to say next, he needed the world to know what his intentions where but lets be frank the Aussie wasn’t the best we it came to stringing a sentence together or at making sense. A groan left his lips, before he parted them speak once more. Kale’s eyes never left the lens, he did this so he felt like the audience and his opponents could connect with him.

“I’m currently standing…”

Kale realised he was sitting down, so he quickly made his way to his feet, kicking the chair out from behind him to put emphasis on his words. He cheekily cleared his throat before he carried on as if nothing happened.

“I’m currently standing at the doorstep that houses the shadows of legends that have gone before me, Jordan Williams, Simon Jones, Andrew Watts, Despayre, Lord Raab and Fenris… all prior Blast from the Past tournament winners and yet, my size fifteen foot feels too small to even be attempting to fit this shoe. I’m nervous as all hell, and I can say that honestly and not give a single fuck how others will treat that golden nugget of information. All I wanted to do was to come back and be the fun-loving guy who the crowd looked at for comical relief. I might have taken my return seriously… but myself? Fuck no… and now I’m just days away from stepping into the ring for the biggest match of my career and the world can’t wait to see me trip up and fucking fumble.”

Kale brought his fingers together to close his hands and form a fist, while his glare on the camera harden. The words were right there all he needed to do was open his mouth and let everything out.

“That’s what’s expected of me is it not? The rest of the roster can not wait for Devona and Alex to take the throne and become the winners for the Blast from the Past, because they aren’t some random guy from Australia… or some petty princess who claims to rule the world… I’m just a clown from Australia, I mean that’s how Senor Vinnie painted me in our last match, granted he had to watch my promotional video inside and out, in slowmo and fucking fast forward before he could even string a sentence together for his own… I’m the one with no direction, with no end goal in sight and people have been beating on that drum for weeks now. So, that makes my chance of winning this thing with my little one, null and fucking void?”

Kale took a step up toward the camera, his face turning side on as his spoke but still his focus never shifted from the camera.

“You want to know my end goal? You want to know my hopes and fucking dreams? I can’t wait to stand there in the middle of the Wembley arena and prove them all wrong. I can’t wait to stand in the middle of the six-sided ring and prove Joshua Acquin, Blade Alexander and Senor Vinnie all wrong… and what better way than defeating Alex Jones and giving the likes of the doubters the biggest fuck you.”

His focused never shifted as he spoke, Kale was getting worked up as the patterns on his face changed. His eyebrows came together, while his nose ruffled at the bridge while his teeth were more on display when he spoke, finally the Aussie was showing his anger of being made out to the fool and it was fuelling the fire that was needed in his belly to head into his tag team match at London Brawling II.

“The middle finger of resistance.”

A mocking French accident was detected before he continued.

“I worked my arse off to get back into this company and sure, I get it, I don’t take myself seriously at times but trust me… laughing at myself shouldn’t be misguided at me not backing myself because I’ve always had my back, I’ve always believed in me and regardless of how great Alex Jones in inside that ring, come Sunday night I will do everything I can in my power to be that one step better. I can’t tear the guy apart, I can’t diss him or belittle the man… he is one of the greatest… but do not take that as weakness, I’m just educated enough to know what I’m facing in that ring in a few days’ time. However, I’m not about to back down now, I’m not about to give up because my team made it to the finals. The plan has always been the same, it has always been for me to return and see where I end up and after Sunday… I pray to god it’s in line for the Sin City Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship.”

Kale had finally said it; he had finally voiced his goal, but he wasn’t going to dwell on it or let people read to much into it after all his team still had to beat Devona and Alex Jones on Sunday and well that wasn’t going to be easy. Both Kale and Brittany were in for the fight of their lives, it was just time for them to buckle up and roll with the punches.

“Devona, Alex I wish you all the very best and may the better team win on Sunday night… but when it’s all said and done, I hope we can take a page out of Ben Jordan’s book, after all we are in London… I’m sure we could find a pub close by.”

He winked at the camera before licking his lips and turning towards it once more. It was time to wrap this one up but there was one more thing he needed to get off his chest before he walked off.

“Little one, we have come so far and yet… we are still miles away from the finish line, but I wish to thank you for what you have done for our team. The way you have minced up every bombshell that has been put in your path speaks volumes that others can’t comprehend. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner and well… I’m proud as fuck to call you my friend.”

Kale just looked down the lens of the camera his features softening when he spoke about Brittany Williams, he had taken a liking to her that’s why he always defended her and even after the dust settles at London Brawling II he hoped that they could continue to work together, as the team they had created was unexpected but it just clicked and it just worked. He just hoped that if it came down to it, he wouldn’t slip up fumble or fall for his team, because after all every girl deserves a wedding present and helping to put Brittany on the path to become the next Sin City Wrestling World Bombshell Champion, seemed pretty fitting for the princess who had it all. No more words were left to be said, so Kale just moved away from the scene, letting the camera pan out and fade to darkness.

London had been kind to Kale, had had spent much of his week following Alex Rush around his hometown on a money can’t buy tour. Yet, Alex had gone above and beyond from Kale as he donned a top hat and a black suit jacket with tails as he showed him around his city. Monday’s adventure was a day filled with museums and modern art as Alex took charge and waltz Kale through the Natural History Museum followed by Tate Modern. Art really wasn’t Kale’s thing but he knew his best friend was creative so he did his best to plaster on a smile and listen to Alex as he rambled on about the artworks, describing to Kale what each of them meant, of course it wasn’t the official meaning behind the paintings and Alex had given them the Alex Rush treatment as he described them the only way he could, by confusing riddles and stories that eventually weaved back into the official descriptions of the art. Kale had to hand it to Alex, as crazy as he seemed he was genius under all those layers bewilderment.

Tuesday was day spent at the Tower of London, where Kale was able to take a step back in time to one of the most beautiful yet horrific places in London. He lined up for hours to see the Queen’s jewels while learning about the bodies in the box while stumbling his way over to the finally resting place at a lot of unfortunates had lost their heads or were hung but the previous royal families. This was history that back home in Australia didn’t have and even though not all of the stories sat well with Kale he had to appreciate how far the modern Royal family and moved with the times. Today was also the day Kale and Alex lost multiple staring competitions with the Queen’s Royal guard.

Wednesday was filled with a quick walk down the Mall towards Buckingham Place, so Kale and Alex could catch the 11am viewing of the changing of the Guard. It still amazed Kale that even to this day they were still rich with old traditions, something that he had seen Australia wipe their hands of and move on with out. It was weird coming to one of the oldest, yet modern places in the world. London truly was a mixed bag with it old buildings and history rich stories and traditions, as to back home in Darwin there was very little to remind Kale that the brits even sailed there and turned it on it’s head. Kale had learnt that the black fluffy hat on the Guard’s hat was made out of one single black bear each, that thought didn’t sit well with him but then again, the inner child inside of him was desperate to wear one and march back down Birdcage walk after witnessing the 45-minute display. St James’ park was beautiful, and Kale couldn’t keep his eyes off the scurrying red and grey squirrels and the amount of ducks that called the park home. The park seemed to quiet and peaceful considering it’s position in one of the busiest tourist spots in London, yet quiet is just what he needed to keep his mind from racing.

Thursday Alex had decided to take Kale to his old stomping grounds, showing him where he lived and where he grew up the city of Westminster, there was a palace to explore and Abbey to admire after that they strolled towards the Sir Winston Churchill Statue before crossing the road and walking by the Big Ben Clock tower. Even though Big Ben was covered with scaffolding people still lined the edge of the Westminster bridge to take photos, all the while trying to avoid being trapped into the games some locals or travelling Gypsies played on the walk ways. Kale watched on for what felt like an hours as this guy moved a red ball between cups and took peoples money as they had to guess where the ball ended up, and every time people failed to pick the right cup. It was trick he was going to have to ask Gabriel about later, because he swore, he watched old mate shove the red ball down his sleeves, but he didn’t know a thing about magic.

Friday was filled with a day of drinking as London Underground had invited everyone and anyone to join them for a day in the beer gardens. The offer was too good to refuse so Kale and Alex tagged along, it was there over many pints of beer Kale learnt that London’s Jack the Ripper was nothing like old mate back home, who was know for letting ones rip. It was also when he was informed about Sammy the Seal and to be honest ever since the story of the seal left Daniel’s lips, that’s all Kale could think about. It was a long day drinking but you would never hear Kale complain about that as he knocked back enough to keep up with the rest of them, however as the group decided to move on to their next spot Kale had other plans.

“Can we go find Sammy?” His words were slurred as he spoke to Alex.

“I don’t think Sammy is around this time of year mate.” Alex slurred back with a smile. “But let’s go and have a cheeky look-see.” He chuckled.

“How many trains we gotta do? You know I don’t like the underground, makes me nervous…” Kale swayed as he spoke.

“Lucky you the Wharf is just down the road, over there.” His two hands were pointing in different directions.

Lucky for them they were all at the Henry Addington a place that sold real ales by the dockside. It didn’t take the pair of them to tottle along Cabot Square before running through West ferry Circus before stumbling across the round about and rolling towards the River Thames as soon as they reached the banks of the river Kale brought his hands around the side of his mouth to form a microphone that would help louden his voice.

“SAAAAAAMMMMMMMMY ARRRREEEEEE YOOOOOOOOU HOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMEEE” Kale looked down at the murky water his eyes scanning to see any signs of animal life. “SAAAAMMMMMMY” He repeated.

Alex was looking around the base of the river looking for any signs of the seal, but much to his dismay the little guy wasn’t around this time in the afternoon.

“I don’t think she’s home.” Alex reached out and patted Kale on the back. “We can try again later?” He said with an optimistic smile on his face.

Kale had another idea though as he looked towards Alex with a grin on his face that only said trouble. As Alex went to walk off back to join the pub crawl, Kale rushed towards him, scooping him up in his hands before he spun on his heels and headed back towards the water. Alex’s arms were flapping around in the air as he protested what he knew was coming. Without even a second though Kale just ran towards the River Thames and without any regard of the phones, wallets or keys in their pockets, he launched himself into the murky water. Tossing Alex in there as well on his way down. The two hit the water with a splash, before they submerged into the river. Both of their heads popped back up with roaring laughter as they swam around in circles, Alex wasn’t pissed by Kale’s actions he knew what he was like. Meanwhile Kale was swimming around, looking desperately for Sammy the Seal. Yet on dry land, Daniel, Os, Dani Weston, Devona, Mackenzie and Charlotte all looked down into the river to see the commotion the other two were causing.

“And to think, that’s your boyfriend.” Dani said while she nudged Charlotte.

“Fuck Off.” Was all Charlotte could bite back with.

Dani just wrapped her arms around he best friend, so she knew she was only joking. While the group of them looked down at the water seeing Alex Rush backstroking his way up the Thames, while Kale was dog paddling around the waters looking for seals. Nothing could hide the fact that Kale had a massive smile on his face while he was searching for the puppy of the ocean, and that alone was good enough for the rest of them after all he had been a broody arsehole lately and if swimming in the murky waters of the Thames looking for a seal was enough to keep his mind off his mother’ passing, the rest of the group wasn’t going to stop that. In fact, Os was off to buy a carton of drinks so they lot could sit there for the rest of the afternoon and watch Thames Olympics play out in front of them. Hopefully Kale was able to steer clear of catching a cold, as that's the last thing he needed before his biggest match in his career went down on Sunday.
