Making Plans

As predicted, an easy win was on the cards, giving London Underground their first point on the board in this way to determine who will be facing Lachlan Kane and Sierra Williams. Kate Steele and Todd Williams didn't even offer a challenge a Daniel had predicted, falling at the feet of London Underground as if they wasn't even there. Things had been a bit topsy turvy for the former mixed Tag Team champions, their attention very much distracted by outside things. A casino wasn't an easy place to run, eyes had to be everywhere and their urge for Tag Team gold faded pretty fast after losing the belts a while ago. They were not a group to up and leave after losing a championship, that would put them in the bracket of Kain, a man notorious for leaving after losing a belt. London Underground were nothing like that, nor did they feel the urge to be like Jessie Salco wanting title shot after title shot. They didn't need a belt to feel like an asset to their company, they knew they already were an asset and would remain one for as long as they stayed employed in Sin City Wrestling. It's odd for wrestlers to say they didn't want a championship, but London Underground knew they didn't need one to be known. So why be a part of a tournament that could thrust them in the path of the champions?

Because they didn't need to be in group of wrestlers that moaned and bitched no matter what happened. Come on, you know what I mean, moan about not being booked against someone, than moan about being booked against someone. Half the roster is like that, but London Underground were the opposite. Book them against someone they didn't want to be booked against, fair enough, someone is gonna get hurt, book them against people they do wanna be booked against, winner winner. Complaining gets you nowhere and there was no complaints over here, just an interesting thought of their next opponents.

Ben and Evie Jordan.

Well, there's many links with London Underground and Ben and Evie Jordan. Let's go way back to when Daniel J Morgan, Osbourne, Mackenzie Page and Charlotte Elliot was growing up in East London, not quite at the level in their work that they are now. They had many a time where they drifted from Bethnal Green to Isle of Dogs, a place where Ben Jordan ran a pub. Long before wrestling was even a thought in the mind of the group or even Ben, their ties were there. Everyone knew, or at least suspected what London Underground were, gangsters, anti heroes in a way. Looking out for the real east end people, and keeping bigger evils out of the way, controlling the ins and outs of this side of London. Public houses were the perfect place to do such deal, and London Underground often found themselves in Ben's establishment.

And Evie... Well, Evie was a bit of an inspiration to Mackenzie. London Underground trained with Evie's trainers Gabriel and Odette Stevens, probably the best trainers in the world. Evie was their first and an instant success story. Gabriel and Odette was proud of the, at that time, future Mrs Jordan, or maybe a secret Mrs Jordan, those two never did confirm things too clear. The recordings of Evie's training had been shown to the group constantly during training. Mackenzie was in awe of Evie's hard hitting style, and now she was gonna potentially be in the ring with her.

Still, that would have to wait as London Underground was slightly preoccupied with something else....

Daniel J Morgan stands inside an empty building space inside the Golden Ring Casino. Around him workmen carry wood and other tools around, renovating the area.

It was less than a week ago that Daniel had decided to turn a unit in to his casino building in to a sports bar and he had grand plans for it already. His timeline for completion itself was ambitious, opening the night of Inception III on January the thirteenth, he did that for a reason. Calls were made from the Ice Hockey game last Thursday, designs were made by Sunday, a choice was made on Monday and work began on Tuesday. In the last few days, things had been coming together nicely and the bar had already been placed in the building.

Daniel stands looking around the work being done, turning his head to Charlotte and Mackenzie who stood nearby, with Osbourne behind him.

"All coming together nicely." Daniel comments to the group.

"Are you sure you're gonna get this done in time without cutting corners?" Charlotte asks.

She had full faith in her boss and knew his attention to detail, as well as his impatience.

Daniel looks calmly at her and nods reassuringly.

"One hundred and ten percent mate." He tells her. "We had just over a month to get this place done, we started a few days ago. We got people working round the clock on a heavy bonus. We got an inspector coming in on the eight. We'll have it all cranked out by then. We don't have to worry about a booze license, it's already cover by an extension of the casino cause me name is on both ownership papers under the same roof. The kitchen stuff is going in now. It will take two days to throw together and connect. We just need a few practical things."

"Like what?" Mackenzie asks.

"Certain decoration." Daniel says. "It's a sports bar, we need sports stuff around here. That wall over there."

Daniel points to a bare wall.

"I want scarf's from every London football team." Daniel says. "West Ham, Arsenal, Spurs, Palace, Orient, Millwall, Charlton, QPR, Fulham, Chelsea, AFC Wimbledon, Barnet, Brentford, the lot. I also want some framed signed shirts, Beckham, Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo, any decent signed framed shirts you can find."

Daniel points to another wall.

"That wall, hockey stuff, the other wall baseball." Daniel turns to face another wall as he talks "And this one, wrestling. Get lots of signed stuff from people, some backstage pics, get them on that wall."

Mackenzie nods at Daniel.

"So lots of cheesy stuff that draws people in." Mackenzie replies. "I think I can find that shit, and force some signed pictures out of people."

Daniel looks towards Charlotte.

"If she's taking that, that puts you on staff duty." Daniel tells her. "We're gonna need a manager, an experienced one, someone who knows what they're doing. Hit a few sports bars a little later, see if anyone in SCW or SCU need some extra work. Need a kitchen team too, one head cook, two understudies, and line cooks. There's nothing fancy going on this menu, but I want good people."

"Who does the manager answer to?" Mackenzie asks.

"Us when we're here, Nick when we're not." Daniel tells her.

"Can Nick handle it?" Mackenzie asks. "He can barely walk and talk at the same time."

"I resemble that fact." Nick says appearing behind Mackenzie. "Wait, wait, resent that fact."

Mackenzie smirks.

"Is it bad I knew he was here before saying that?" Mackenzie asks.

"One day, you're gonna hurt my feelings." Nick tells her. "Also one day, people will stop getting you confused with Santa's elves and asking if you need a ride back to the South Pole."

"North Pole, Nick." Charlotte corrects him.

"North Pole, South Pole, just two red and white stripped poles stuck somewhere in snow." He says with a shrug. "I can handle both when ya not about. You'll have security here that will be in touch, the staff will have those little radio things. If not, I'll hire an assistant."

"Ex strippers don't make good assistants." Mackenzie snaps at him.

"They sure know how to draw the customers in though." Nick muses. "New idea, casino to draw in the classy spenders, sports bar for the bargain hunters, looking for things as cheap as chips, strip club for everyone. Thoughts?"

"Thoughts are, you're an idiot." Mackenzie says.

"Worth a go." Nick responds.

Daniel shakes his head, a smile creeping on to his face.

"Knock knock." The voice of Pussy Willow can be heard saying.

The group turn around to see Pussy Willow standing at the doorway looking in to the almost shell of the sports bar.

"She can be my assistant." Nick mutters.

Charlotte lifts her hand, clapping Nick round the back of the head.

"Fucks sake Kenz." He says turning, only to see Charlotte standing behind him. "Sorry, force of habit. Usually the Hobbit does that."

Mackenzie swings her hand, catching Nick behind the back of the head, causing him to turn around, clenching his fist.

"Why you really, really, really, little..." He says shaking his fist.

Daniel looks towards Pussy Willow, a look of confusion on his face, not expecting her to be there. He steps forward to greet her.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" He enquires.

"I heard you was adding a sports bar to the casino and I wanted to get the inside scoop on it all and maybe speak to you about your match." Pussy says politely.

Daniel looks towards Charlotte, Mackenzie and Nick.

"You guys know what ya gotta do today so crack on a little if you can." Daniel tells them.

The three nod and Daniel turns towards Pussy. He was never a big fan of people just showing up before he had all his ducks in a row but knew the beauty of advertising and getting brand names out there in the public domain. He quickly look at his watch.

"We've not got too much time." Daniel tells her. "I have a business meeting with someone shortly, but please..."

Daniel leads Pussy outside of the room and quickly down a hallway, followed by Osbourne. The trio walk through doors on the right and in to the main casino hall. Daniel leads her to the bar area and points to a free table. Pussy takes the hint and sits down and waves to Dani Weston behind the bar. Dani brightly waves back and Daniel sits opposite Pussy.

"Now what would you like to know?" Daniel asks her.

"How did this whole idea come about." Pussy asks him.

"Sometimes, inspiration can strike like that." Daniel tells her. "Just sitting at a hockey game, watching the fans eat, drink and cheer and it hit me that I need some kind of action like that. I know I can't replicate the atmosphere of actually being at a game, but the fact is, I don't need to. Not everyone can shell out the money it takes to get to a game. Back home, a football game in the top division, you're looking at seventy notes just for a ticket, whack on some grub, travel, program, couple of pints with the boys after the game, and you're looking at well over a ton. It's the same here. Go to a game, you're spending serious cash, but right here, you can do all that for half, spend time around ya fellow fans and have a cracking time."

Pussy nods, taking in Daniel's words.

"Do you have a name for it yet?" Pussy asks.

"Not yet." Daniel tells her. "But that's not important for a week or two. The important part is getting it ready for the opening date, so very focused on making that happen."

"When is that?" Pussy asks him.

"Thirteenth of January." He states. "The day of Inception III"

"Intentional?" She says with a smile.

"Of course." Daniel replies. "It's no shock to see the SCW rosters overloaded at this point. All these new names, might mean SCW has bit off a little more than it can chew, and what with SCU seemingly taking up half a supercard, not everyone on the SCW roster is gonna make it to Inception III. Took a punt at the last supercard and there was a lot of matches, now there will be more, and if SCU take on five, SCW need to cut it down, so for those who don't make it, they'll be invited here, speak to the fans, appear on SCW television."

"And if somehow SCW manages to book everyone?" Pussy asks.

"Well they won't." Daniel says confidently. "But if they do, it's not like we don't know some names to host a party here. Gabriel, Odette, Despayre, Synn, Devona maybe. Names from the past will be clamouring to get down here and host from here."

"Could that turn in to a regular Sunday thing?" Pussy asks Daniel.

"I hope so." Daniel replies. "Not everyone gets booked every Sunday, people who don't get booked are welcome to swing by here, talk about whatever on camera, meet with the fans, have a good old time. Happy for segments to be filmed here for the show."

Pussy nods her head as she looks at Daniel.

"You are booked this Sunday." Pussy says. "Any thoughts on that match?"

Daniel smiles across at Pussy.

"That was a decent segway." He admits. "It's always tough going up against people you know, especially someone like Evie. She's unpredictable, she can turn up and out wrestle people who have been doing this stuff for years, or she can turn up in beast mode and go for the throat. It's tough to see what Evie is gonna be in that ring on Sunday but the girls have a plan to deal with it. Ben's one that we need to look at and wonder about."

"How so?" Pussy asks.

"He's the nearly guy." Daniel responds. "He had great success elsewhere and like a lot of people who think they're the mutts nuts, comes to SCW and see that they were big fish in small ponds. That's why SCW has a big turnover of people. So many show up and see they can't handle it and piss off somewhere a little easier. Ben to his credit has kept plugging away over the years, taking unneeded pony from people not even on his level. The fact is right now, as much as the fans wanna sit there and say Ben deserves his run at the top, I mean even Fenris has mentioned countless times he wants to face Ben, that should say it all, but right now, Ben Jordan is a tag team wrestler and when it comes to tag team wrestlers, we are the best about."

"Lachlan Kane and Sierra Williams can claim that about themselves being as they're champions." Pussy reminds him.

"You need to ask why they're champions mate." Daniel tells her. "Did we want the championships at the time? Gotta ask that cause I feel we can take them when we want them. Was Kain really that good or simply full of pony? I mean the bloke made stuff up as he went along and tried to convince people it was all true. The fact is he was a waste of time as a champion as was carried by Mercedes. It was only a matter of time before Mercedes broke, or couldn't be arsed. You're only as good as the champion who ya beat and frankly, Kain wasn't a good champion."

"Interesting comment." Pussy replies surprised.

"Truthful comment." Daniel responds.

Daniel looks beyond Pussy to see another figure moving in his direction.

"Excuse me." Daniel says standing up. "But like I said, I have another meeting today."

Pussy turns her head to see Christian Underwood walking towards him. Pussy looks at Daniel confused as the scene fades out.

My apologies on being slightly under par this week. Flu season.
