Scene 1
Off Camera
Alana is sitting on a lounge chair with her face partially covered by a big white hat with a broad brim and she has on a purple bikini top and a black wrap around her waist hiding her bronze skin from the waist down to about her mid-thigh. It’s a bright and sunny day there is a small table between her and another seat that is currently empty. Alana lets out a long slow sigh as she settles back and into the seat as her bronzed skin seems to glisten in the bright sunlight…..
Song: Is this seat taken?
Alana places a hand on top of her head to control her oversized hat and looks up to see Song.
Alana: Only if you take it.
Song: I’ll consider that an invitation.
Alana: As if the phone call telling you to come meet me out here was not invitation
enough.
Song: I guess you got me there.
Alana: Where’s Kenzi? I thought for sure she would be here with you.
Song: She stayed at home, for allow us some space, plus she’s got friends that
she’s been meaning to hang with.
Alana: Oh I see. So how have things been? I mean it seems we’ve both been pretty busy with our time off and we did not get to hang out as much as I would have liked in Seattle. Oh and I’m a bit surprised by your involvement with Kenzi also. Or rather I should say that it caught me off guard. Now look I don’t want to over step my welcome or anything like that. But as long as we have known each other I want to be clear that I hope you know you can talk to me about anything. I love you and Orchid like sisters.
Secondly I don’t judge. If being with her makes you happy then I for one am all for it. I just hope it’s not a rebound thing. You have just ended one relationship. I want you to understand that I’m bringing this up simply because I care about you and your feelings. I am the last one to just be all nosey and in somebody else’s business but I really felt the need to talk about it well because we haven’t. So I guess what I’m getting at is that having Kenzi around is not going to bother me in the least bit. I want you to do what’s going to be comfortable for you. I also want you to know that I believe in an open line of communication between you and I. There, now I should also tell you that the waiter is coming with two Mai Thai’s one is for me the other I ordered for you because as much as I wanted us to talk I also wanted this to be a bit of a time out from everything as well.
Song gets up and gives Alana a hug as it means alot to Song that Alana cares for her like a sister. Song goes to sit back down.
Song: Thank you for caring Alana, it means allot, I didn’t see myself ever dating a woman, it just happened and for the first time ever I feel happy, truly happy. I understand how others think this is a rebound but it really isn’t Kenzi understands me in a way that you and Orchid don’t. It’s not a knock on you two because I love you both, But Kenzi… I just don’t know what to say but she makes me very happy in a way no one has and she makes me feel special.
Just then the waiter walks up behind the table and places the two drinks down on the table one by each lady and stands there for a moment.
Alana: That will be all for now thank you.
Alana sits up and takes a sip from her drink as she looks at Song for a moment.
Alana: Damn girl that bikini is kinda small. Not your mom but it’s kinda noticeable. Oh there is one more thing about being out here. Master Lilly thinks it would be a good idea for us to have our own medical attendant so that we have our own person while she’s gone. So a little bit latter I’m going to need you to come with me when I interview her if you would not mind.
Song: Sure, if Master Lilly wants to hire her she must really know her stuff.
Alana: Well she lives out here and got her degree from Loyola. Master Lilly actually found her, so as long as she’s not some arrogant ass or a phony we should probably be in good hands.
Song laughs as she jokes with Alana
Song: We already have enough arrogates in the Elders just look at Eyesnane and myself, and sometimes Blasted Monk pending on who he fights. I’m sure she is great and I would love to meet her with you.
Alana: Great! So catch me up what have you been up to with all this time off SCW has afforded us? I know you’ve been around LAW a lot, I hope you are not thinking about leaving me.
Song: Of course not, were a team, but what Master Lilly or Master Wong decides is not up to us. They can move me to LAW and bring Orchid back to SCW. Hell they can move you to LAW instead and The Foshan Bombshells can make the return everyone though they were gonna see. But forget about that you been up to.
Alana: You know me I’ve been keeping busy. I have been coordinating everybody’s travel plans. Master Lilly and Jon are still in China. Ted’s flight got in a little while ago he’s resting up right now, so I figured we could just cut our promo out here before we travel to meet at the show plus it gives us a bit of extra time here. Eyes being the secretive weirdo he is decided he wanted to spend another night on the east cost so he’s still in New York. I suppose he is celebrating having just defended those tag titles in FWA alone.
Song: Wait you were off in SCW why didn’t you go with him to defend the titles?
Alana: Oh I am still doing that work with him but it’s a slow kind of unfolding so I was in and out of there. Don’t tell anybody but I was able to score a seat at game 2 of the World Series. I left New York went to Cleveland caught the game and came straight out here so that we would have been on the same connecting flight but some bodies plans seem to have changed on the fly.
Song: Oh yeah, he-he I um… missed the flight. I took a flight to Vegas instead and took the private jet here.
Alana: It’s all good Song. I’m just fucking with you a bit. You could throw a girl a text or something. Speaking of keeping tabs on everybody. I thought about getting us all Nextel’s so we can have walkie talkie service, what do you think because I have no clue where Blasted Monk is.
Song: Do they still make those? I though they stop making those like 10 years ago? Anyways forget about that, what about you, I know many guys catching you why not give one a chance?
Alana: I’d say it’s because I’m busier than anything else. I mean as Master Lilly is needed more in China she has been turning certain things over to me. I mean I have to keep track of LAW, Honor Pro, FWA and SCW scheduling for us, Eyes, Matt and Jon, Orchid, and Blasted Monk. While keeping Ted where he needs to be. Oh by the way he got Wrigley certified as a service animal so he can go everywhere we go now which is a big help he’s in the room resting with Ted, I’m sure he is just as tired as Ted is.
Song: Wait Eyes and Jon found him. How did you get him, damn I see I missed allot.
Alana: Well I guess he was supposed to be Jon or Matt’s dog but I can’t remember which and well he sort of just took to me and usually winds up with me anyway so I guess it just worked out.
Song: Cool, I like Wrigley; he is a very smart dog. I think he took to you for a reason.
Alana: Oh but I do have plans for us later. We are going to need to meet at my room at 6:30. There is a feast tonight and I thought it would be great for all of us to go together. So I have a table reserved for Ted, you, me, and Eyesnsane. He should get here a bit before then if he does not get into trouble or miss his flight. I’ll even have Wrigley there. They are going to roast a whole pig and I know there will be fruit that’s one thing I love about being out here the fruit and the fish. I can’t wait. They even put on a show of some kind so it should be fun and filling.
Song: Great I can’t wait.
Alana: With us meeting up a bit early we can go ahead and get our promo out of the way first and then head over there.
Scene 2
Off Camera
Alana is seated on the bed in her room looking at papers and files in a folder in front of her as there is a knock at the door. Hearing the knock Wrigley springs into action and is immediately at the door sniffing along the bottom of it and as he does his tail slowly starts to wag and then he sits at the door with his tail moving quickly as he looks at Alana. Alana looks at her watch and then at Wrigley.
Alana: Do you know who that is boy?
Bark!
Alana: Okay you can go ahead and open it.
Wrigley jumps up placing a paw on the elongated door handle causing the door to click and open to the inside of the room. Song walks in and sees Alana seated on the bed and looks down seeing Wrigley looking up at her wagging his tail. She steps into the room as the door closes behind Song. Song bends down and pets Wrigley’s head for a moment and then walks over to a desk and chair near Alana’s bed. While Wrigley lays down by the door.
Alana: I was just going over what info I could find about our two opponents. There’s not much to go on from this current run they are attempting to make. You have to go back about a year or so to find any well work if you want to call it that. I mean you know me, I want to take everything seriously but as I look through this file I have found some footage of these two…
Song cuts Alana off
Song: Four Corner Match December 2 Dismember II!!! You have that one they were that match with Orchid and myself. That was in 2013 they go way back. Wow…I just realized how much time has past by; it just seems like a year ago.
Alana: No I only went back a year, as far back as when you and Orchid left SCW. Really I mean I can’t speak to the level of competition a year ago. Nor can I speak to where these two have been although listening to them talk for about five minutes and I can imagine where they have been. I would think that if what you did before was not all that successful that maybe you regroup and maybe you try something different.
Song: Some don’t change because there comfortable with the gimmick there using
Alana: Ted should be here shortly and we can just cut the scene here shit I don’t even really care at the moment. I mean all this time off and now it’s time to get back to work. I get that we did not win the titles but we had to have been impressive. We won the tournament to face the champs after all. Hell we beat the two hero chicks they just lost to and I am no psychic but I’m pretty damn sure this one is going to be academic as in us teaching these chicks a lesson.
Song: In fairness I like to think that way vs. anyone in SCW.
Alana: I don’t mind cutting it here because frankly this room is nice and cozy and almost all of my friends are here. So I’ll probably come off more relaxed than some of our previous shoots which I think will help. I’ve been wracking my brain and rewatching the footage of our title loss trying to figure out where I went wrong because the last thing I want to do is hold you back. The fact is they are beatable and I know we can beat them and I’m glad our road back to getting another title shot is finally getting started.
Song: Each win or loss comes with lessons to be learned. We will get another shot in due time and be more prepared
There is another knock at the door and Wrigley is back up and alerts sniffing at the bottom of the door again. Song stands up as well but before she takes a step Alana catches her attention and points to the dog and Song just stands there looking at him. After a moment Wrigley begins wagging his tail once again and sits and looks at Alana waiting for her response.
Alana: Do you know who that is boy?
Bark!
Alana: Open the door.
Watching the exchange Song folds her arms in front of herself as Wrigley repeats the process that allowed Song to enter the room. As the door opens they see Ted wearing a Hawaiian shirt and jean shorts. He steps in the door and Wrigley jumps up on him as Ted pets Wrigley’s head.
Song gives Ted a bow as Ted does the same to Song
Ted: Hey how’s my fury buddy? What’s up Song? Alana oh my God thank you for letting me get some sleep. I love Eyesnsane but he is nuts straight up Looney and it’s like he does not sleep. Now I’m going to say most of the footage I got after he won is not going to get used at least until we do like one of those Elders, what you don’t see! When it comes out for release on DVD.
Anyway I can’t wait to see what you have cooked up for the footage we are going to get this week. So are we off to a volcano, the beach, a luau? What has the incomparable Alana Allure cooked up for you two to do?
With a smile on her face and arms still folded Song looks over at Alana sitting on the bed. Song sits back down in the chair and Wrigley lies back down in front of the door. Alana gets up off of the bed and sits next to Song but sits on the desk allowing her legs to swing back and forth a bit.
Alana: I figured we could just shoot right here.
Song and Alana make there way from the suite office room area too the rooms outdoor patio. Ted goes to his bag and grabs his camera and turns it on.
On Camera
We see Song wearing a black tank top with yellow Shorts with yellow colored sunglasses. Alana is seen wearing blue jeans red Nike shirt. The two lean against the railing and look out thru the skyline. They see nothing but ocean with the Hawaiian big island about 50 miles away. A few clouds are seen here and there the sun is just starting to set. The sky is seeing beginning to change until a red/ purplish color.
Song: So ladies we meet again, this time I have a new partner and there is no now current and future Hall Of Famers. Nope just you two and the Elders, future Stars in the making.
Song looks at the camera, and takes her right hand to move her sunglasses down to the tip of her nose as she tilts her head in a 45% angle.
Song: You two happen to stand in the way of Alana and I becoming the SCW Bombshell Tag Team Champions. That means you two have to get beat down. I say beat down because that’s a language you can understand. We can make it a wrestling match as it should be but I’m okay with just beating you two down to submission.
Song looks at Alana as she fixes her sunglasses. As Alana is about to speak Song goes back to looking out to the skyline with Alana.
Alana: At the end of the day were professionals. Going on your most recent showing that something you two haven’t figured out just yet. But lucky for you two we can serves as a shining example and a model for you to take after. Very soon you have the privilege of learning from us first hand.
Alana turns to look at the camera
Alana: Ladies were not here to talk trash, were not even here to put you two down. There has to be something in you two ladies have or the company wouldn’t have signed you two. Maybe you’re still trying to find out who that is. What that identity is going to be for you two. Maybe you two are still trying to figure out what you two are all about. But Song and I we know who we are and we know we got each others back. We know were the best tag team in the division currently on the roster, and unfittingly for you two beating you is going to serve as another example of Song and I being who we say we are.
Song moves to put her arm around Alana’s neck
Song: Since Alana and I have been a team we won two matches before losing to the champs, this Sunday we begin a new win streak.
Song releases the embrace.
Song: This Sunday will be the start what Eyesnsane…
Song smirks at the camera
Song; … And Jon Dough started in the male division.
Off Camera
Alana: That should do the trick.
The phone rings and Alana answers the phone.
Alana: Hello.
….
Alana: Great please set a wake up call for him at 5:30 and please give him the message to meet me in the lobby around seven. Thank you.
Alana hangs up the phone and turns to face her friends.
Alana: Ok, Eyes is here and checking into his room. Ted I want you to stay at the hotel and touch basis with Eyes. His room will be next to yours and they connect.
Ted: So he would have to be in 416.
Alana: You got it. Wrigley.
The dog gets up and comes to Alana and sits right in front of her and looks up at her face.
Alana: I want you to come with me and Song. We have to meet a lady who might be able to helps us. I just want you to let me know if anything is wrong with her ok.
The dog tilts his head to the left. Ted looks at Song who shrugs her shoulders looking back at him. Then the dog starts to wag his tail.
Alana: Ready boy?
Wrigley: Bark!
Alana: There is a car waiting for us downstairs are you ready Song?
Song: When you are.
They all leave the room... Once downstairs Alana, Song, and Wrigley all get into the limo just outside the front doors of the lobby and as the door closes the limo takes off to the home of Rebecca Weaver. Once they arrive at the location the driver gets out and opens the door and the three Elders exit the vehicle. As they walk up the sidewalk to the home. The front door opens and then Rebecca steps out from the screen door and stands on the deck waiting for them as they walk up the steps.
Rebecca: Hello and welcome to my home. I’m so very glad to get to meet you in person.
She extends her hand to Alana for a hand shake and they do.
Alana: I hope you don’t mind but I brought Song.
Song extends her hand and she and Rebecca shake. While Wrigley sits next to Alana’s leg. After Song and Rebecca shake hands.
Alana: Oh and this is Wrigley.
The dog raises his right paw to shake with the young looking woman as well and they do.
Rebecca: My, he seems well trained, wait it’s a he right?
Wrigley: Bark!
Alana: Yes he is.
Rebecca: Well would like all like to come in or we could sit out here and talk?
Alana: I’m loving the weather right now. Let’s sit outside.
They walk to a nearby table and sit down in the surrounding chairs. While still standing …
Rebecca: Would any of you like anything to drink?
Song: Water.
Alana: Same for me please.
Rebecca: Awesome, I’ll be right back.
She goes into the house and retrieves two glasses of water for Alana and Song. She goes back in the house once more and comes back with a bowel of water and another glass. She sits the bowel down in front of Wrigley who looks up at her and wags his tail be fore drinking some of the water. Rebecca takes a seat at the table with the other two ladies.
Alana: So why don’t you tell us about yourself.
Rebecca: Sure, well I went college at Loyola University for my degrees. I used to spend quite a bit of time on a farm in Manhattan, Illinois. Although I definitely enjoyed my time in Chicago. I have a younger brother and well live here. I moved here after school for an internship but have been looking for something more stable.
Song: Why not open your own practice?
Rebecca: Because I’ve really been more interested in sports medicine. I knew that’s what I wanted to do from a pretty early age so I just stuck to my guns and sacrificed a lot of time with friends goofing off. I don’t regret it because now I’m starting out living my dream and I have Master Lilly and all of you to thank for it.
Alana: Awesome. So how did you meet Master Lilly?
Rebecca: Well I was backstage at Honor Pro wrestling’s Mayhem and I saw Blasted Monk leaning against a wall. I noticed that he was having a hard time turning his neck to the side and so I went to him and introduced my self to him and he allowed me to take a look at him. It was obvious to me that he had a stiff neck and the back of his neck looked a little swollen.
Song drinks some water from her glass. While Wrigley lays down at Alana’s feet.
Rebecca: Master Lilly came out of a nearby room and we introduced ourselves to one another and that’s when I informed her of my initial diagnosis. Master Lilly took some time to evaluate the situation and she wound up agreeing with me. I recommended that he not fight that night and Master Lilly agreed with me on that as well. Master Lilly spoke to him in their native language and then she smacked him in the face. I thought that was odd given I had never seen a manager, client relationship play out in that manor. He gave me a look and then walked away.
Both Song and Alana laugh at this part of the story.
Rebecca: Master Lilly began walking in the same direction I was heading. She smiled at me and apologized to me for what I had just seen and informed me that Blasted Monk was also her son. I just shook my head and then understood she did not want to see him go out and perform at less than one hundred percent. She asked me what had brought me to Honor Pro and I told her I just came to see if they needed any medical assistance. Master Lilly informed me at that point that she manages a stable of wrestlers and acts more as a coordinator for them. However most if not all of my duties are being passed to Alana Allure.
Song looks at Alana.
Rebecca: She explained to me that Alana will be handling all the duties but one which is medical assistance as Alana is not a medical doctor. Since I had a resume with me I gave her one and she looked over it. I think what impressed her most was that I finished top ten in my graduating class at Loyola.
Alana nods her head in approval.
Alana: Loyola is a very good school. I’m hoping my Godson goes there in the future. I know Chicago well and I’m there often. That’s where my office is.
Rebecca: Well that’s great it just gives me a reason to go there some time. Oh back to the story. So Master Lilly called me a week later and flew me down to Foshan and gave me a tour of the dojo. After that they gave me a tour of the medical facilities they have in the dojo. It was at that point she offered me the position and showed me where my office would be whenever I’m at the dojo. She then offered me a salary way more than I would have imagined and so I accepted. She did however want me to tell you Alana that I will not just be acting as medical assistance but to help you in with other things I’ll be an additional driver. As well as helping you with any other assignments you may need but my medical duties will always be the first priority. However with the downtime that comes with that the additional help I can provide will also help justify the very gracious salary I’ve been given. The only thing left is that if you decide that you want me. You and I are supposed to shake hands and my employment starts then.
Alana looks at Song and Song quietly returns her look. Alana then turns to face Rebecca once again. Alana stands up and so does Rebecca and Alana extends her hand and Rebecca takes it as they shake hands while they are both smiling. As they let go Song stands up and Wrigley sits up.
Alana: I am going to need some help with a project. We are looking up all the footage we can find on our up coming opponents which means going back to Oct 9th 2011 all the way up to now and finding all we can to scout them.
Rebecca: Let’s get started.
