Blog: A Series of Unfortunate Events the Fifteenth: Querer, tomar, tener/Want, Take, Have
semana del 22 al 28 de de mayo de 2 0 1 6
There are so many ways to look at the co-main event at Into the Void. Three women all want the same thing, they want to walk out of Tokyo with the World Bombshell Championship.
It won't come easy. While I'd still would appear somewhere on the supercard, I sure wouldn't be near the co-main event, let alone be defending the most coveted prize in the Bombshells division. I mean, I did tap out to Samantha Marlowe in Kobe. I can't deny that. Belinda and Jason saw it. The world saw it. The tape is there. So because of the outcome of CC 148, Crystal is expecting a Hallmark card and a check any day now? Well, I hope she believes me when I say they got lost in the mail.
And Sammi, I hope you take my word for it that I had no knowledge of Crystal's plan. This was all her and her husband's doing. Never in my career, even when I was in the Mean Girls, have I needed to cheat to win a match or a championship, because I don't need to. I've proven that I can succeed without breaking the rules, and without needing help. At the end of the day, I want to say that I won or loss on my own account. Sometimes it's what you don't do that makes you who you are.
We both know what Crystal's endgame is and that my hands are tied because of what she did, because if I win, I lose. If I lose, I lose. If you win, if you beat either of us, everything will be back to normal. Lucy may get her title shot next if the tag match doesn't go her way. Mikah says she doesn't want another go as champion because of how stressful it is, but there's always the chance that she doesn't really mean it. Of course, there's always that one-on-one match rematch between us, but none of these scenarios happens unless you win, though.
I get why you invoked your rematch clause without even giving it a second thought when conventional wisdom says that you probably should have waited for a better opportunity to come along. But, like Crystal, you know that this may be your one shot, and maybe your only shot, at becoming champion again. Who knows if you'll get another chance? Nine months ago, no one thought you would be in this position today, no one knew that you would be holding the World Bombshell Championship, but you've proven all the doubters wrong. Can you do it again Sunday?
Three years ago I started this journey and to become World Bombshell Champion is a dream come true. To have to not only fend off two opponents who want to end your reign but also the critics behind it is enough for anybody to just get up and walk away, and I was damn near close to doing that. I thought about vacating the title, I was warped into Crystal making me feel guilty that I was so close to handing in the title to Christian or Mark, but I didn't. The spirit is willing, but the flesh was weak. Or maybe because deep down if I had followed through with it, I would be a sentimental fool. Champions fight through adversity not run from it, and when they are at their most vulnerable that's when they know where to find true strength. I want to show the world that I'm a fighting champion, I want to show the world that I can handle being World Bombshell Champion. So with the odds against me, what do you think I’ll do to keep my SCW World Bombshell Championship at Into the Void?
Samantha...maybe I would have tapped out to the Sammiwrap at CC 148. Then again, maybe you would have tapped out to the Red Peril II or the Divine Mercy. I guess we'll never know the answer to that, but it still doesn't mean it can't happen at the supercard.
Crystal...you already know what I'll do. While I haven't beat you in SCW, I have beat you in the past and it doesn't matter what's the name of the promotion, a loss is only a pinfall or submission away. You probably don't remember this, but the last world championship that I won, and which I still own after the promotion had since closed, I beat YOU for it. I also happen to do very well in multi-person matches and I have more wins in triple threats than you and Samantha combined. Samantha was pinned in her first triple threat match last year and Crystal, you only have two wins in nine matches.
When it comes to title defenses, I answer the bell. Why do you think I've been in over 30 championship matches in SCW or that I've never lost a main match in over two years? I react well when I'm under pressure and that's when I'm at my best. When I go into survival mode, I'm a tough challenge to any Bombshell on the roster and they know better never than to count me out, but you don't have to take my word for it.
I'm going to find a way to win this match, not a way out, at Into the Void.
There's a lot riding on this match. Samantha Marlowe wants redemption, I want revenge, and Crystal Millar wants a receipt on all the hard work she put into her master plan, but only one of us – one of us – can leave with the title. The title that was “giftwrapped” for me, the title that was handed to me.
You both want what I have?
Well, now it's up to you to take it from me.

[[The week of Into the Void was finally here. You know how you want something to be over so bad that you're literally counting the days? That's how I was feeling all this week. Luckily for me, killing time wasn't a problem in a city like Tokyo. There's always something to do here.]]
[The scene open up in Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan. The fans in attendance chatter before the next match gets underway. A pamphlet blocks out view of Mercedes' face. She lowers the pamphlet to reveal her disheveled hair and face. Mercedes looks unsure of herself as she sits in one of the seats further away.]
[[When I came to Japan last September I had forgotten about attending a Sumo match. I thought about attending Kabuki, but my brother told me that Sumo is better theater. Not that it particularly interested me, not to mention the cost and the crowd, but now that I was here I'd wanted to take in a show. First time for everything, right?]]
Male Fan: So, what's a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this?
Mercedes: Uh...
[[ Looks like talking about the weather was out. Every time I meet strangers, that question always come up. Like at the police station...]]
[Cut to a small room where Mercedes is standing next to an elderly woman wearing glasses, though she keeps looking over them, straining her eyes. Two officers are talking to each other while looking straight at a typical police lineup.]
Officer 1 Silvia Epstein got her Greyhound stolen the other day. The perpetrator got bit by the dog before he ran off. Mrs. Epstein's neighbor called in hoping we'd find something.
Officer 2 Yeah? What's a girl like her doing in a place like this?
Officer 1 Like I said, she came with her out of concern.
[The first officer is giving directions at the suspects. A buzzer sounds after each command. The second officer, ripping off a bag of potato chips, watches.]
Officer 1: Four steps to the right. Four steps to the left.
Officer 2: Four steps back now y'all.
Officer 1: Left foot to the front. Now shuffle. And now touch the floor on this one.
[The suspects find this ridiculous but do what they're told, some halfheartedly.]
Officer 2: Now add a lasso this time.
[The suspects look back at him nonplussed.]
Officer 2: Add a lasso this time.
[The suspects spin in a circle in a galloping motion with their left hand near their waist as if holding the reigns of a horse while swinging their other arm around over their head like they are using a lasso. The officers look over at Mrs. Epstein standing by with Mercedes, who turns to her.]
Mercedes: Recognize anyone?
[The elderly woman expresses shock and confusion as the first officer, clearing his throat, looks away and stares at something on his desk. The second officer sighs and retreats to the corner.]
Officer 1: Well, okay than.
[[ At the theater...]]
[Cut to Mercedes on stage in an off-Broadway production of the musical comedy "Anita la Huerfanita," (Little Orphan Annie). She watches as a nine-year-old girl, playing the title role, sings a musical number from the play.]
Girl:
Tomorrow, Tomorrow,
I love ya tomorrow.
You're only a daaaaay awaaaaay!
[The number receives a standing ovation. Just then the girl suddenly faints and collapsed on stage, drawing gasps from an audience packed in for the performance. Mercedes rushes in from the backstage to attend to the girl, tears streaming down her face, though she forgets to break character.]
Mercedes: Annie, are you ok? Annie are you ok? Are you ok, Annie?
Still no response.
Mercedes: Annie, are you ok? Are you ok? Are you ok, Annie?!
[The concerned parents come up on stage along with a doctor, who looks up at Mercedes.]
Doctor What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?
[[Even at the bank...]]
[A band of unsuspecting robbers surrender to police inside the local save and loan. As the robbers are escorted to waiting cop cars, one of the men past Mercedes before calling out to her. She looks up from filing her nails at the man, who gives her a toothy grin.]
Robber: ¿Qué es una muchacha como usted haciendo en un lugar como esto?
What's a girl like you doing in a place like this?
[[Wait, I got it.]]
Mercedes: Ask me no questions, I’ll tell you no lies.
[[So the bout starts with the ceremonial stomping of the feet, looking for all the world like two T-Rexes going into battle. As I watch the competition into their squatting position, all I can say is man am I glad I didn’t get the seats closer to the wrestlers. For one, it was expensive – something around 20,000 yen, then you would have to sit Indian style during the entire match. And the other thing was the thought of two men wearing thongs was a little unnerving. Sure, it's tradition and all here. But still.]]
Mercedes: So, how long is this thing anyway? What are we talking, ten minutes, thirty minutes, an hour?
Male Fan: The tournament last an entire day, though you'll miss the good matches, they start at four o'clock.
Mercedes: I'm not sure I heard you, but did you say all day. If you can watch sumo for that long, either you're a hardcore fan or should be declared clinically brain dead.
[[Anyway, after some stalling the wrestlers plow into each other with all the speed of tectonic plates. After a stalemate, they circle each other again. The male fan hands me a radio that is providing the English play-by-play. At least it made my experience a little better, just a little.]]
Mercedes: Hey, I think the match is almost over!
[[And if it is, I really need to start watching more sumo. The match took only five minutes tops. And for the next three hours, forty-seven minutes, I was nothing more but a spectator who actually enjoyed her first sumo-watching experience. It took me a while to track the points using the scorecard, but I got the hang of it. The pamphlet had all the names of the competitors, which made for some interesting reading before and after matches.]]
Mercedes: You know what? I thought I was in for a boring time, but I was so wrong. When's the next one?
[[Our little male fan merely smiled at me..]]
Male Fan: Ask me no questions, I’ll tell you no lies.
[Fade.]

Blog: A Series of Unfortunate Events the Sixteenth: la ayuda buena es difícil también el hallazgo/Good Help is Hard To Find
semana del 29 de mayo del 5 de juno de 2 0 1 6
C ontrary to popular belief, defending a championship is far more difficult than actually winning it. Everybody knows that, doesn't mean it's any less true. A lot of people are divided on whether I deserved the title match with Samantha in the first place, and the resentment have been so strong, even I can't help but believe it. After what Crystal and her husband did, I don't doubt many angry fans are calling CC 148 by another name – the Kobe screwjob. And like I said before, Crystal's plan was brilliant.
R egardless of how people feel about it, Sunday's co-main event at Into the Void will happen and I've got a lot of work to do if I want to walk out of Tokyo with the championship many are saying I don't deserve, which, again, is all thanks to Crystal. But she shouldn't expect thanks from me yet.
Y ou thought you had it all figured out, didn't you? At least, it seemed that way. But just when you thought you had all the answers, Christian changed the questions. Who should be more worried now: the champion who could possibly lose her title without being pinned or the challenger who is banking on some foolproof plan that could blow up in her face? Is it the former champion who was cheated out of the title or the champion-in-waiting who now have to beat two opponents to win? Is it the Bombshell who just ended a three-match losing streak at Climax Control because of her “bestie”, the one who got pinned in back-to-back main events or the one who lost at the LAW Validation pay-per-view for the second time in three years when she had every advantage in that match– a bodyguard, her stablemates acting as lumberjills surrounding the ring, her opponent's manager locked in a shark tank – and still got beat in Atlanta?
S o who's facing more pressure: the Bombshell who has yet to beat her rival in an SCW ring or the one who hasn't won a world championship in five years? Your first year left a lot to be desired. See, because before you became the reina de las grandes pantallas – the Silver Screen Queen – you were a luchadora, La Paloma. The Dove. But it took awhile for you to take flight, or maybe you couldn't get off the ground. After your first two matches against Natalie McKinley, you ditched the mask and showed your true self. After masquerading in a mask for three weeks, you were ready to try again. You improved a lot last year – still lost a lot more matches than you won – but you were getting there. 2016? You tied the knot, you went unbeaten for three months, went on to run the table in the BFTP. Everything suddenly clicked. Never mind that four of your victories was in the tournament or that Desapyre got most of pinfalls.
T o hear you tell it, you claim that your actions the last two weeks made Sam and I relevant. Really now? The fans didn't buy that, I never believed that, pretty sure Sam never believed that, and it sure as hell wasn't true. It's taken you two years to get your name on the map in SCW. You followed me 14 months after I came here, and it didn't take me long to become one of the top Bombshells in the company. You want to call me irrelevant, fine. After this weekend, win or lose, after I'm through with you, you will remember just who the hell I am and everything that I've done. You want to bring up the fact that I have never beat you as if that's suppose to mean you're better than me. It's funny that you brag more about those victories than being a former Bombshell Roulette Champion. While you can hang those wins over my head, I can hang the World Bombshell Championship over yours. That you “helped me” beat Samantha is irrelevant. Because now you're going to have to beat one of us to end my reign.
A nd I don't think you can do it. Given the situation you're in, the odds aren't in your favor, and you know it. If Into the Void went on as planned, chances are you probably couldn't beat Samantha one-on-one anyway and, come to think of it, I don't think you could beat me either. I mean, let's take a look at the facts. Mikah interfered in our first match that got you into the triple threat, our second match, at High Stakes that Mikah won; the third match was also a triple threat and you did pin me, so I'll give you the gold star next to your name; and in our second one-on-one, back in January, Alexis interfered and cost me the match. So, technically, you only beat me once.
L ook at it this way, unlike a typical movie role, our match isn't going to be scripted. There won't be time for a dress rehearsal or to read your lines or retakes. Come Sunday at Into the Void V, not only is Samantha Marlowe is going to be remembering in vivid detail of what happened when you cost her the World Bombshell Championship, but I'm going to remember how I felt that night and then whip your ass so you remember it too. You're practically on your own. Your husband Jonathan can't help, you have no friends other than Kate and Veronica, and even then they will probably want to stay far away from our match too, if they know what's good for them. In other words, Crystal, you're a desperate woman.
M aybe more desperate than you're letting on. What you call ratings, I call someone starving for attention and it's pretty hard not to notice. You know you're in trouble when Alexis Edwards has to call you out on it. Is that what you're going for? Attention? Because I can promise you that you'll have mine and Sam's undivided attention. For some reason, I can't see that working out for you.
I nto the Void will be here before you know it and I've been waiting more than four months to get my hands on you. Honestly, I could have done it sooner and made your night at LAW worse by beating your ass after your loss, but having watched it in person was good enough for me.
L a prudencia es la madre de la ciencia – Discretion is the better part of valor. But that doesn't apply to you, does it? You say the first thing that comes to mind without thinking about your words or actions. No wonder why you don't have any friends. And, no, Kate and Veronica don't count. Kate follows you willingly because she's family, and Veronica follows just about anybody if it means leaching off their success, which is something you both share in common.
L eaching off others and being an attention whore is what you do best, and it's been proven. And you're good at it, you're very good. For the better part of your career, I've seen it for myself, even in SCW. And I wasn't surprised, not when you started sucking up to Celeste and Natalie or when you were hanging around Delia and I after the Mean Girls broke up. Because you know without being anyone's sidekick, you're the one who would be irrelevant, don't you? It scares you that you could become just another name, just another face in the crowd.
A s you like to say, “good and great really don't mean a thing when you're perfect like me.” You mean like your record? Mikah was the one in 8-1 that beat you. Oh, but wait! Despayre interfered. No fair. Like you interfered in my match? You can't have it both ways. The difference here is that Despayre was there to prevent your husband, who really cost you that match, from helping you cheat. Neither you or your husband had no right to interfere in a match you weren't apart of. CC 148 was an insult to all my hard work in this company. The proudest moment in my life, the moment where I can finally say I've a world champion again is tainted. That, to me, is a cardinal sin that can not and will not, be forgiven.
R ember when I said best friends make the worst enemies? You can't hope to escape what's coming to you at Into the Void. When I beat you, I'm not doing this for the fans, I'm not doing this for the other Bombshells, I'm not even doing this for Despayre or Mikah or Sam or even for me, even thought it should be. No, this is for you. Because it's about time someone gives a reality check to Crystal Millar. And who better than the one person who knows her best? And you also know better that I don't forgive and I don't forget.
Two wrongs don't make a right, Crystal. It just leads you straight to the bad part of town on the corner of Revenge Avenue and Payback Boulevard.
And you're going to find out first hand that good help is hard to find.

"Oh, I'm just packing up a few things for today. A couple of autograph books and such."
[Mercedes emerges from her Tokyo apartment. She opens the passenger side of her rental car and tucks in a few autograph books inside a knapsack for the big day ahead. On a sunny eighty-five degree day, she is hidden under a pair of shades. Before long, she starts up the engine and away we go on to the day ahead.]
Mercedes: So, today is the Legends Luncheon at the Millennium Mitsu Garden Hotel and pretty much a who's who of the greatest Japanese joshi wrestlers will be there, and hopefully I get to meet all of them. I think Christian saved the best for last setting this up for all the Bombshells to get this opportunity to meet the greatest talent the world over.
[When asked who her favorite wrestler was, it was a tough question for the Argentine to answer right away.]
Mercedes: My favorite Japanese wrestler? Oh, wow, I have so many. But if I had to pick my favorite, it would probably be Manami Toyota. The way she moves around in the ring, her fighting style, the robes she wore to the ring. She was amazing. Did I mention the five-star matches? To meet all these stars is a dream come true. One day Toyota, Inoue, Yamada, Kansai and Ozaki will be known on a first name basis in wrestling just like Oscar, Wilt, and Lebron in the NBA.
[On the drive there, her match at Into the Void comes up.]
Mercedes: And just when I thought that wouldn't come up.
[She laughs. She briefly talks about Samantha Marlowe. The former champion has been training for her match and will more likely presents problems for the current champion. Mercedes has nothing but high praise for the Texan, who is looking to become just the fifth two-time titleholder in history.]
Mercedes: Samantha Marlowe has become a big name in the Bombshells division in such a short time. She has no quit in her. Definitely made me work in trying to defeat her in our match, and that's what makes Into the Void interesting. She is not going to be easy to beat. You look at the run she had early in her career – she went unbeaten in singles for six months straight, she beat Mikah at her best, ended her dominant reign, and became World Bombshell Champion. This triple threat is anyone's to win. Sam and Crystal both want what I have. I think we're all going to bring it Sunday in Tokyo. No one is going in there to lose, no one is calling it quits and give up.
[It's one of the few title matches on the card where fans are equally split on who will come with the coveted championship. With Into the Void nearing, Mercedes is cautious about her match, but wants to enjoy her reign, even if it suddenly ends in Tokyo.]
Mercedes: I'm living the dream right now, I'm on top of the world. I'm going into this match with a clear mind and I have to focus on the match at hand and not worry about the things I can't control. Crystal may have quote-unquote handed me the title, but she still have to beat me or Samantha for it, and she's proven she can't do either – at least not without help or cheating.
[Mercedes did not shy away from discussing her feud with her fellow Latina. She called Crystal's change in attitude a "copout" and added, "Basically, she's setting a bad example for Latinas everywhere." In between locking in some GPS coordinates, she provides more insight into her argument.
Mercedes: I think Crystal is trying to get attention just for the sake of it. She's hyping herself up and being controversial because that's her bread-and-butter and she's trying every which way to make herself seem more important than what she really is. It's one thing to call out Misty for her decision not to go for the Bombshell Championship after winning last year's Blast From the Past, but she's done more for this division than Crystal will ever accomplish in a lifetime. She's trying to hype herself for this match and she thinks that by what she did at CC 148, she's getting into my head. I know what she can do and I know what I can do. We've been rivals for six-plus years so I know what's coming. Her husband being banned I think is a band aid on a much bigger wound, but at least it's one thing Sam and I don't have to worry about. I'm just going to have fun and kick some ass on Sunday and I think Crystal's in way over her head.
[We finally arrive, the Millennium Mitsu Garden Hotel. Mercedes check the car dashboard and she smiles. She arrived thirty minutes early for the gala, which was set to begin at high noon. Mercedes hoped to see some of her fellow Bombshells who plan on attending. She steps out of the car, slips on her shades and grabs her knapsack in tow.]
Mercedes: Let's do lunch.
[It's 20 minutes into the event and at least for one day, SCW's hardest working femme fatales got along. Mercedes spotted Jessie Salco and Amy Marshall; Natalie McKinley, Melody Grace and Kate Steele was there too. Team Hero and The Angel Clan were also in attendance. To prevent any necessary violence, Keira and Uriella stayed out of each other's way going as far as sitting at far ends of the table. Mercedes mingles with a few of the Bombshells before chatting away with Belinda Simone, one-half of SCW's broadcast team, then goes over to talk to Natalie.
An hour later, Mercedes asks where to find Manami. A stranger pointed with her stubby finger of her right hand to the sushi bar. Mercedes thanks her for giving her directions and heads on over. And just as the stranger directed, there she was. No where near her age of 45. Only one problem: there already was a crowd gathered. Mercedes, not one to give up easily, force a way through and pays for it with people stepping on her feet. It was worth it. Mercedes engages in a lengthy conversation where they talk about Angry Birds and Toyota's career and greatest matches and if Toyota met the other Bombshells. Another woman nearby translates between the two and it's not long before Mercedes holds out her autograph book and the joshi scribbles her autograph on it. After a quick bow, Mercedes backs away gracefully and nearly collided with a waiter in an awkward moment that Toyota tried hiding her laughter
From legendary pioneers to joshi wrestling's future stars, the Legendary Luncheon had a little of everything. After final remarks from the keynote speaker and then from Christian Underwood, the luncheon was over. Mercedes opens her autograph book to show off her collection, somewhere between 20 and 35 autographs, including autograph from both members of The Crush Gals and The Jumping Bomb Angels. Asked what was the most interesting part of their conversation, Mercedes said the language barrier.]
Mercedes: When I was asking a question, I think I slipped into a little Spanish and that kind of threw everything off. Manami told me through her translator that she would teach me Japanese if I teach her Spanish. Crazy, huh?
[Today was a good day. Now that the fun part of the Japanese tour was over, there was still business to attend do. An uncomfortable confrontation with Crystal and Samantha Marlowe at the luncheon was a clear reminder of what was still to come. With Into the Void less than a week away, her focus now turns to the days ahead. Mercedes brought along the SCW World Bombshell Championship with her to the luncheon, which caught the attention of a few of the joshi stars. Now, two other women, her opponents on Sunday, will be vying for her attention in taking away the championship on her third week with since winning it.]
Mercedes: First defenses are the hardest, right? Looks like I have some work to do to not end up a three-week wonder.
[Only time will tell whether Mercedes will still be champion after Into the Void. For now, the rest of the day was going to be nothing but training and media work. Alas, a wrestler's job is never done.]

[REC•]
[Mercedes is listening to this week's replay of The Hotwire podcast on her iPad and filters in the comments about her match by Tommy Knocks. She smiles when he hears Knocks' final verdict of the co-main event and lets the rest of the show play out before killing the podcast. Setting her iPad aside, she takes a moment to look up at the camera, the Argentine keeping her composure.]
Mercedes: I respect Tommy Knocks. I respect his opinions and he tells it like it is. There should be more people like him. He does his job very well, as I do mine. He has a right to his opinion, and it's up to me to prove him wrong at Into the Void. My job is to prevent Crystal Millar from getting her grubby hands on my title so we won't ever have to live in a division with her as champion. I've never back down from a challenge before and I'm not about to start now, so if I have to play the role of Supergirl, than I guess that what I'll have to do.
Now I know that a lot of you people might not like Crystal Millar but that's okay, you don't have to like her. You don't have to buy her merch or watch her movies, not that many of you do anyway, but you do have to respect Crystal Millar. You have to respect a woman who makes a lot of money, gets to appear on late night talk shows, gets her own movie studio, gets to compete with the best locker-room full of Bombshells on the roster, but still manages to find a reason to be a complete bitch.
[Mercedes lowers her eyes, shaking her head. She blinks a few times before taking a deep breath, seeing her breath in the cold air.]
Mercedes: Now I know that you are all aware that Crystal is the Naomi Campbell of SCW, but there's a reason why despite how many movie deals she gets and despite how popular she's become lately, I'm one of the most successful Bombshells in SCW, not her. There's a reason why I'm still the longest reigning Bombshell Roulette Champion and that she never even came close to even scratching my reign. There's a reason why a woman who calls herself “The Silver Screen Queen” continue to have zero awards to show for it. Do you see any Grammy, Emmy, or Oscars in her trophy case? Your championship trophy case has cobwebs too. But that's going to change soon because you're walking out World Bombshell Champion! Well, that's one more thing you're dead wrong about, Crystal.
[She slowly shakes her head from side to side.]
Mercedes: You may be the future of the division, but I'm the present. Because I have this.
[Mercedes bring her world title into the shot, raising it in front of the camera.]
Mercedes: I have what you want, what you've been dreaming about for five long, frustrating, years.
[Mercedes snaps her fingers after each word before placing her title over her shoulder.]
Mercedes: And I will fight until my last breath to prevent you from walking out World Bombshell Champion because while you may be the number one contender, while you and Despayre survived fifteen other teams in a grueling six-week tournament to earn this golden opportunity, you don't deserve to be champion.
[The calm demeanor is gone, replace now with a sharp edge in her voice.]
Mercedes: Whether you come out as the Rose Girl, whether you come out as the Rose Goddess, whether you come out as the A-Lister, whether you come out as the Hollywood Starlet, whether you come out as the Reflection of Perfection or whether you come out as the Silver Screen Queen, it doesn't matter to me. Because I'm walking out World Bombshell Champion, whether you like it or not.
That I haven't beaten you in an SCW ring is a fact you're going to let that hang over my head. But that was then and this is now. And right now? In this moment? In the present? You won't be facing me in a singles match. The co-main event at Into the Void is a triple threat, not to mention, but I'll mention, that your hubbie is banned from ringside, and that is on you. You have only yourself to blame and no whining and bitching is going to change that. You want to stomp your feet, throw a fit, about people getting title shots ahead of you, but no one took your spot at Into the Void. Don't you know that good things come to those who wait? Look at me. I've had to wait two years to finally become World Bombshell Champion, and while I hate to admit it, I have you to thank for that and making my place in history. Now that I think about it, I want you to have your place in history too – as only the second Bombshell after Brandi Shotz to lose in their championship match after winning the Blast From the Past Tournament. Hey, one good turn deserves another, right?
[Mercedes smirks.]
Mercedes: It's like I said, good things come to those who wait. And Crystal, I can't wait for you to get everything that's coming to you at Into the Void. You’re going to get the spotlight, you'll get your closeup, you'll get the cameras rolling, you'll get Samantha Marlowe. You'll get everything you ever asked for.
