“Time to correct a mistake!”
« on: April 27, 2016, 07:17:20 PM »
Steve’s first defense at Blaze of Glory was rife with even more controversy than the weeks leading up to the Triple Threat Match as whilst Steve technically retained the title James made Joshua submit at the same time as Steve achieved a pinfall victory over Josh, the next week was filled with questions as to what would happen in the title situation until the first card of the Japan tour revealed that Steve and James would face off in the Main Event of the second Climax Control of the tour.

And whilst the first show of the tour proved to be eventful the second show, emanating from the historic city of Hiroshima, could potentially be even more eventful with the Steve and James match serving as the Main Event, with no third man in this match a winner was almost guaranteed but can Steve retain the title?

God it feels great to be champ!

I mean yeah, that goes without saying especially since I’ve waited so long for another single’s title reign but that’s not all I’m talking about! I wasn’t even featured on the last Climax Control and I’ve been invited to do a radio interview for Hiroshima FM!

I’d say that this interview will be the bomb but even I won’t go that far!

Anyway this week on Climax Control the situation between myself and James Tuscini will finally be resolved as we are in the Main Event, the match is for the Roulette Title and I can’t wait to send this idiot to the back of the line right behind Joshua Acquin!

I mean yeah, Matt Spears will be getting a shot soon so I’m going to be busy over the next couple of weeks and that’s not even getting into the fact that I won’t know the next challenger for the Roulette Title until the week before the next Supercard! And that’s assuming that Matt Spears won’t get his title shot until then!

And on top of all that I have a radio interview this week and at least two state dinner invites before the next Supercard, yeah I haven’t been this busy since the GWA days when I was doing four promos a week!

“Welcome back to Hiroshima FM and now we are about to welcome a very special guest.” The translator (AKA Cyrus who apparently learned Japanese just so he could try to pick up chicks, it didn’t work but still) said as the Japanese DJ spoke the words in his native language. “The company that employs him has recently took Nagasaki by storm and this Sunday he will defend his SCW Roulette Championship against James Tuscini, please welcome “The Fearless One” Steve Ramone of SCW!”

“Glad to be here!” I said with a grin after Cyrus translated the DJ’s words for me and did the same for the DJ. “Yeah the SCW show in Nagasaki was great but it was brought down by my absence from the show!”

“I’ll take your word for it.” Cyrus translated the DJ’s words for me and whilst it was lost in translation I didn’t need Cyrus to know that there was a bit of uneasiness to his voice. “Now as I said you are defending the SCW Roulette Championship against James Tuscini in the Main Event of this week’s Climax Control but he’s not the only challenger for your title on the horizon is he?”

“Well that kinda goes without saying since everyone wants to beat me for the title but I’m assuming that you are referring to the current Number 1 Contender Matt Spears?” Cyrus translated the words for the DJ and he nodded in response once he understood my question. “Look, it’s like I said, I probably have challengers lining up all around the Asian continent for a shot at my title but I will address him once I’m done with James Tuscini this week on Climax Control, James is my biggest priority right now!”

“I can understand that, you already silenced Joshua Acquin at Blaze of Glory when you pinned him at the same time as James made him submit but you and James have unfinished business to resolve.” The DJ responded and Cyrus translated the words for me again. “Out of anyone on the current roster who doesn’t already hold a title who do you think could give you the most trouble should they challenge you for the title?”

“None of them! I will beat them all and my reign will go down in history as one of the best SCW Roulette Title reigns off all time!” I responded with a cocky grin on my face and whilst the DJ got the general idea when he saw my grin Cyrus still translated the words for him. “Hell it will get to the point where they’ll have to bring in outside talent in an attempt to get the belt off of me but it won’t work, simple as that!”

“Okay, that is all the time we have for this interview, thank you Steve for coming in!” The DJ said and I nodded in response to Cyrus’s translation, man that DJ went by quickly. “We will be right back after these commercials!” The DJ added and we stood up and left the studio, we headed out of the building and once we were in the parking lot I turned to Cyrus.

“Cyrus, I don’t care if all the effort you put into learning Japanese so you could bang some Japanese foreign exchange student went to waste because she ended up being a lesbian, you are our official translator for the rest of the tour.” I said with a grin and, whilst Cyrus rolled his eyes at being reminded of his bad luck with yellow fever, he grinned at that. “To think, Miranda said that your fluency in Japanese wouldn’t come in handy ever again!”

“To be fair that was before I became a wrestler and besides, it has come in handy when I toured Japan on my own.” Cyrus responded as he unlocked the rent-a-car. “Anyway, what’s your plan for the promo? Will you be doing it in the car?”

“I did that for my first Blaze of Glory promo, I don’t want to make it seem like I’ve run out of ideas!” I responded as I shook my head. “You guys wait for me in the car, I’ll get my promo done and then we’ll head back to the hotel.”

“Got it.” Cyrus responded before he and Andreas hopped in the car, I went over to another section of the car park that wasn’t that far from the car but still far away for me to do my promo in privacy and I got started on just that.

“Blaze of Glory was supposed to be just that, me defending my title against James Tuscini and Joshua Acquin in a blaze of glory but no! James had to have Josh locked in a submission hold whilst I went for a pin on Josh and as a result the Triple Threat Match ended in a draw and left meat a loss as to what would happen to my title for a whole week!”

I said as I shook my head.

“And it’s not like I didn’t try to find out what the bosses had decided in the week that followed, I made so many phone calls to SCW HQ that they eventually stopped returning my calls and I was threatened with harassment charges by my own employers! But that doesn’t matter right now as Christian made his decision official, this week James and I will face off one last time for the SCW Roulette Title and it’s the Main Event!”

I said as I leaned against a pillar.

“First he got a shot at me just because I interfered in his match with TNA and now he’s headlining a Climax Control because he had Josh in a submission whilst I went for a pin on Josh? If it weren’t for J2H’s open challenge I’d be calling bullshit on the fact that this guy was in line for a shot at the SCW World Heavyweight Title on top off all that but that’s beside the point and besides, this shot at J2H will prove to be his biggest disadvantage!”

I said as I folded my arms.

“What do I mean by that? Tell me James, have you ever heard of the saying “to many eggs in one basket”? it basically means that you have too many things on your plate to focus on the present, more specifically your match against me and yes, you could, by some miracle, beat me for the title and, by an even bigger miracle, beat J2H for the World Title at the next Supercard but do you know what happened the last time the World and Roulette Titles ended up being held by the same guy? Here’s a hint genius, you’re looking at the end result!”

I said as I hoisted the Roulette Championship over my shoulder.

“But it doesn’t matter because at the end of the day I’m leaving Hiroshima with the SCW Roulette Title in my hands and the end result of this match will make the bombing of Hiroshima look like a rough game of tag in the playground! I don’t care what stipulation it stops on when the Roulette Wheel gets spun at Climax Control, it could land on “Steve’s rules” for all I care, because no matter what match it lands on I will walk out with the SCW Roulette Title still in my possession!”

It’s that simple really.

“I’m going to be honest here, when I made the pin on Josh in the Parking Lot Brawl I didn’t even realize that you had him in a Submission Hold because I was pretty out of it, then again we all where at that point but that doesn’t matter, I didn’t realize my mistake until after the fact because if I had I would’ve tried to break up the hold instead but the result would still be the same as I would’ve walked out of Phoenix the SCW Roulette Champion either way and this Sunday history will repeat it’s self as I will retain my title over you for the second time! Say hi to Josh when you reach the back of the line James because then you can tell him that I sent you!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“Since we’re in Japan this analogy seems pretty apt, James, I am Godzilla and you are Tokyo and at the end of our match this Sunday at Climax Control you’ll definitely feel like a giant lizard monster just stepped all over you after I retain the SCW Roulette Championship! And as for Matt Spears, well you can say hi to Josh and James after I beat you! This message has been paid for and delivered by “The Fearless Champ” Steve Ramone, the champion the fans deserve and this Sunday I’ll correct a past mistake by kicking your ass!”

I went off towards the car as the scene fades.
