Rebuild a Family

=======================
*Keira is seen coming in, a little late as she slams the mail down on the table and sits*

Roxi: What the matter?

Keira: One of our neighbors gave me our mail...which means that fucktard of a mail lady put our mail in the wrong slot....AGAIN

Roxi: Calm down. It happens, people make mistakes

Keira: twice?

Roxi: Yes, it happens all the time. Or are you putting yourself above making mistakes?

Keira: Oh yea. I'm so perfect

*Keira gives Roxi a stern look*

Keira: That was sarcasm

Roxi: Then let's not rag on the mail lady for making a small mistake.

Keira: Ok, ok...sexy butt

Roxi: And calm all that down too.

Keira: I'm trying. Besides. It's just us. Like you don't have your days where you go around in a shirt and a thong

*All of a sudden, Keira's cell phone rings as she looks at it*

Keira: Be right back

*Keira goes to another room and answer it*

Keira: Yea? .....This is she. Uh-Huh...got it. I'll be there in a few. I'll get the visitor pass. Don't tell him. Let it be a surprise....got it. Thank you.

*Keira hangs up the phone and goes out. She grabs her purse.*

Keira: Roxi, I'm going out.

Roxi: Okay... where...

Keira: Amiibo Hunting

Roxi: Okay... what's coming out that you need?

Keira: Ryu

*Roxi looks a little confused*

Roxi: Are you sure? I could have sworn had him, or he was already out?

Keira: We don't

*Keira kisses Roxi's cheek*

Keira: I'll be back in a bit

Roxi: Oh.. okay. I love you.

Keira: Love you

*Keira exits as the scene fades*

*Moments later, Keira is seen at the Hospital as she goes to the front desk*

Keira: Hello?

*Keira sees the Head Nurse*

Keira: Hey, I'm here to see Mr. Johnson. I'm the one you called, Keira Fisher?

Receptionist: Ma'am, I hate to inform you that Mr. Johnson isn't taking any visitors. He hasn't for many years.

Keira: But they told me I could see him. I even have a Visitor's Pass.

Receptionist: I'm sorry, but Mr. Johnson doesn't wish to have visitors. He made it very clear, and he does not know who you are miss..

Keira: Fisher. Keira Fisher

*Keira looks at the Receptionist*

Keira: I was promised at least one visit on the phone. Please, this is important.

Receptionist: *Sigh* I... I'll give you the chance, he's out in the courtyard. But if any disturbance happens, you'll have to leave.
Keira: Thank you

*Keira takes the pass and goes out to the courtyard. She looks around*

Keira: Where are you....

Nurse: Ma'am? Can I help you?

Keira: I'm looking for Mr. Johnson?

*The Nurse is taken aback for a second*

Nurse: I... I didn't know he would have visitors...

Keira: Can I please see him?

*The Nurse points towards a man sitting in a lawn chair, feeding pigeons*

*Keira slowly gets close to him, making sure she doesn't scare him*

Keira: Hello? M--Mr. Johnson?

*He looks up, a frown on his face as he quickly goes back to feeding the birds*

Mr. Johnson: I said no visitors

Keira: Please. Let me have a moment of your time. 15 minutes....at least. I'll even buy lunch.

Mr. Johnson: Who are you? and What do you want from me?

Keira: My name is Keira Fisher. I...I just wanna talk.

Mr. Johnson: I don't know you, do I? You someone's relative? Come to tell me they died?

Keira: I thought you might need a friend. Everyone needs a friend.

Mr. Johnson: No, I'm perfectly fine. I'm here in like they want me to be. You don't need to be here.

Keira: You don't need to be here. Trust me. I thought like you did at once. It lead me to a place I thought I'd never return...

*Keira sits beside Mr. Johnson*

Keira: I can tell that you don't want to be here...

*Keira turns to him*

Keira: You want out of here. You want to be free...to have a life again. This is no life. No one put you in here...

*Keira continues to look at him*

Keira: Don't you want to be free?

Mr. Johnson: You act as if you know my life... I'm here, to keep away from people who want nothing to do with me. They put me here under the guise of help.... Did... did they send you? Is that what this is?

Keira: I came on my own. No one sent me.

*Keira lowers her head*

Keira: I know how it feels to be alone...to keep away from people. But...it was more...to protect them.

*Keira raises her head*

Keira: For years, I kept people away. But, I found someone who helped me. Who saved me from myself and made me who I am today...

Mr. Johnson: You don't know my life. I loved my wife, my daughters... and I failed them, and they took their revenge out and now I'm here. I deserve to be here, and I don't need them or anyone else to come along and try to save what I couldn't

Keira: Then I should check myself in here then. I lost my parents from something I couldn't control. I lost control. All I wanted was revenge! But instead. I gave everyone misery. What I touched. I destroyed. So, here's a idea. I take your place here. Cause trust me when I say this. You never had to watch anyone you loved die in front of your eyes. You never saw the horrors I committed when I took my revenge. Each day was even darker, twisted and I wanted the sweet release of freedom....
*Keira lowers her head*

Keira: At least you have a chance to fix yours. Me? I can never have that chance! I can never fix my life. I lost my parents and I can never get them back, sir. It scares me. It haunts me to this day. You're lucky to have people who do love you. Who wants to actually change? You don't know what you have til it's too late...

Mr. Johnson: Why are you telling me this?

Keira: Because you have a chance. You have a chance to fix all of it. Rekindle. Don't lose the ones who do truly care about you. They didn't put you in here. You did, by yourself. Cause you're afraid. Afraid of thinking you'll hurt someone else. When in reality, being in here...is hurting them more.

*Keira sighs*

Keira: I learned that a long time ago. Life...gave me new meaning. Now...I have hope.

*Keira turns to him*

Mr. Johnson: You're young. You have your life ahead of you.

Keira: So? Doesn't matter what age it is, people deserve a second chance. Don't you want that? Try to rekindle. Give it one more try before you say, "It's over"?

*Keira looks at him*

Keira: You never know what life will give you. Bad or good. You got to take what it gives you. All I ask for you to do...is to trust me.

Mr. Johnson: Trust you? I don't even know you. You're some woman who has come in here... and talked to me... why are you even doing this?

*Keira then shows the wedding ring, taking a huge risk*

Keira: Cause I promised myself that I would. That you would know what I went through. Someone who does give a damn about you and wants to help...despite you not wanting to.

Mr. Johnson: What are you talking about, why would your husband want to help me or... who is he?

Keira: SHE...doesn't know that I'm doing this.

Mr. Johnson: She? What the hell are you talking about? Why me? What is the goal of this whole thing?

Keira: To help you see what I see now. To put the past behind you and let you come into a new future.

*Keira slowly stands up*

Keira: It's up to you. I'm offering you my help.

Mr. Johnson: Help with what? Who are you? Who is she? What in the world is all this about?

Keira: Well, I let it all out. Time for that trust.

*Keira looks at him*

Keira: My name is Keira Fisher....

*Keira shows the ring again*

Keira: ...Johnson

*Keira sighs to herself, thinking she just fucked up by saying the last name*

Mr. Johnson: Johnson? Wait....Did Roxi and Nicole send you?

Keira: I told you. I did this on my own. Neither one of them sent me

Mr. Johnson: Why? why come here?

Keira: Cause I wanted to tell you my story. To show you how you and I are the same and to show you that there is hope. ...I know you still have hope. I can see it. You want to try, but you're afraid to. I want to help. Please...let me help, sir.

*Mr. Johnson looks at her, and shakes his head*

Mr. Johnson: They don't want me... I don't want them. Please... leave me alone.

Keira: That's the thing. They do want you. You're lying to yourself. Cause of what happened to your wife. Oh, by the way. She's sober...yea. Your daughters helped your wife get herself clean...

*Keira sighs*

Keira: Do you even know how much they love you? They don't want you in here! They never wanted you in here. You think you failed cause everything fell apart. No, you never failed. Fate did that. The same fate that has fixed your wife and your life. You never knew it...til now. I'm here to help you. I'm here to give you the life you had back. All I need is your trust...

*Keira goes back to him*

Keira: And don't give me that "This is what's best for me". That sounds like more me than you. I thought that. But look where I am now. I'm with the best wife in the world who saved me from myself and...

*Keira looks at him, eye to eye*

Keira: You're about to be a Grandfather....

Mr. Johnson: Grand....father...

Keira: Yes..Less than Nine months from now. You will be a grandfather to mine and Roxi's child.

*Keira looks at him again*

Keira: Roxi and Nicole still loves you. They want you home. I want you home. I want our child to see their Grandfather...but it's all up to you....Sir

Mr. Johnson: They... they put me her for a reason. They don't me around…And I don't need them anymore.

Keira: That's a lie. They do want you around. You pushed them away cause you were afraid you would hurt them...They wanted to help you. Just like how I'm doing now. Like I told you. You may think that. But in reality, they do. They're not the reason you're in here. You are. Cause everything crumbled around you all at once. Just like mine did. You know what fixed it?

*Keira gets close and says*

Keira: An angel fixed it. That angel, is who I call my wife, your daughter, Roxi....and now I'm here...to help you. To get your life back. Believe it or not. I'm your angel.

Mr. Johnson: No... no..Please... leave me alone.

Keira: Please...at least try. Please....at least trust me. ...or sit here...with the birds. Wondering what your future could have been, holding your grandchild in your arms, with a full, rekindled family...like you always wanted....

*Mr. Johnson turns away, continuing to feed the birds, as the nurse come back over*

Nurse: Ms? Is everything okay?

Keira: Yea. I'm about to go.

*Keira sighs as she walks away. As she turns in her pass, she walks out, a tear being shed*

Keira: ....I failed. I'm sorry Roxi. I thought I could be just like you...

*Keira looks at her ring and continues to cry some more. She takes it off and throws it, thinking about running away. But instead of hearing a clinking sound, she turns and notices*

Keira: ....I thought you wanted to feed your birds

*Keira turns to see Mr. Johnson, standing up, and slowly handing the ring back to Keira*

Mr. Johnson: Don't be another person who gives up, because of me. I've done enough damage

Keira: I've been in that same boat. But I'm not gonna give up. I got upset...yes. But...

*Keira takes the ring back and puts it on*

Keira: I'm not gonna give up. I refuse to.

Mr. Johnson: I'd imagine if she's having a baby... she needs you, a lot more than I do. Go on, go home.

*Keira puts her hand on Mr. Johnson's shoulder*

Keira: She just doesn't need me. She needs her father. More than ever.

*Keira looks at his eyes as she's about to cry.*

Keira: All I ask is that you think about it. If not for me, do it for Roxi...do it for your Grandchild....

Mr. Johnson: Go home young lady

Keira: I will be back...I promise.

*Keira turns and walks off. Moments later, Keira opens the door of her home and shuts it, sighing*

Roxi: Out of Amiibos?

Keira: I had to preorder them. I can't get them til March

*Roxi stands up and walks over to Keira throwing an arm around her*

Roxi: Aww... I'm sor-

*Roxi notices Keira's face has tear lines*

Roxi: Were you crying?

Keira: Yea...cause I thought the Amiibos were in

Roxi: Because of Amiibos?

*Roxi looks at Keira sternly*

Keira: Yea. Cause of Amiibos

Roxi: Keira... you don't cry about Amiibos... I've never seen that...

Keira: Yea I have. I...I just quickly put on Makeup!

Roxi: Keira... you know you can tell me anything. You don't have to hide things from me.

Keira: Rox...I mean it

Roxi: I know when you're making things up... what are you hiding from me?

Keira: Nothing

Roxi: Keira... don't lie to me. Tell me what happened.

Keira: I had to preorder some amiibos cause I thought they were out today. That's it!

Roxi: That is not a reason for you to cry. Why are you being so difficult? What happened? Where did you go? Tell me!

Keira: ALRIGHT! I WENT TO SEE YOUR DAD! I TRIED TO GET HIM TO COME HOME! I FAILED! OK!? THAT WHAT YOU WANT!?

*Keira pushes Roxi out of the way and goes into the bathroom, locking it and crying*

Roxi: My ... dad?

*Keira continues to cry*

Roxi: Keira...

*Roxi goes and knocks on the door to the bathroom, leaning against the door*

Keira: Go away...

Roxi: Keira... why on earth would you go there for? My dad wants nothing to do with me, or Nicole

Keira: I had to try, Roxi. I had to show him that his path was similar to mine...he and I were the same. He just needed an angel...just like how I got my angel

Roxi: I could have told you exactly how it was going to go...my dad... he's through with us. I send him a birthday card, every year, and every year... I comes back. I used to write him letters.... and then always came back. I used to visit, and every time... I would get rejected. If he's happy that way... then he can be happy that way.

Keira: I got to talk to him. He tried, but he legit stopped when I said he was going to be a grandfather...

Roxi: Keira... you only set yourself up for heartbreak.

Keira: I have to try, Roxi......When I was leaving, I threw my ring to the ground...he caught it...me and him talked some more

*Keira raises her head*

Keira: I want him to see his grandchild...at least once

Roxi: I... I do too, but... I can't force that from him.

Keira: I'm a failure. I thought I could fix it...but...I failed. I don't deserve to be champion. I don't deserve to face The Angel Clan...

*Keira begins to cry again*

Keira: I DON'T DESERVE YOU!!!!!!!

Roxi: Stop that.

*Keira slowly stops crying*

Roxi: You didn't do anything wrong. You tried to help. I understand that. My dad.... my dad is different. It's a hard thing to do. I wouldn't expect you to be able to change his mind. Nor would I ask you too. You didn't do anything wrong. Please... let me in

*Keira unlocks the door and slowly opens it*

Roxi: Come here... you are my world. I in no way think you are a failure. You helped me more than I could ever imagine.

Keira: How?

Roxi: Because you allowed me, to be me, and to grow and mature, and be able to make a difference.

*Roxi hugs Keira tightly*

Roxi: I love you so much. And everything you've tried to do for me, is amazing.

Keira: Roxi...

Roxi: Yes?

*Keira comes out and holds her*

Roxi: I love you more than anything in the world. Trust me, I've failed too. I wish I could fix a lot of things.

Keira: I thought I could do it...

Roxi: Don't worry about it. Maybe we'll get there, maybe not. But don't let it get you down.

*Keira just buries her head in Roxi*

Roxi: I appreciate you trying. I really do. You don't have to feel bad about it. What you did... took a lot of courage. I am proud of you.

Keira: I thought if he knew...he might have come home...

Roxi: I know... who knows... maybe on some level, you did reach him.

Keira: I hope I did

Roxi: We'll see, but we've got the Angel Clan to worry about right now.

Keira: Yea, Lucy and her big ass. Melanie and the wins I need to get back from her. She took one title from me...she won't take another.

Roxi: That's good. I need you out there. I need my partner out there. But... most of all... I need my wife.

Keira: You'll never be rid of me. I promise.

Roxi: Good.

*Keira just holds Roxi and closes her eyes*

Keira: We've went through so much. Not even The Angel Clan can break that up.

*Keira looks up at Roxi and opens her eyes*

Keira: Maybe we are trendsetters. You're a trailblazer. I'm somehow the LGBT's First lady of wrestling....

Roxi: We're making a difference.

Keira: We're Wrestling's hope

Roxi: We are. Now, let's forget that, and focus on what we can control. Being the best tag team in SCW

Keira: Yes. The best team in SCW, ever.

*Keira gets close to Roxi's lips*

Keira: And soon....

*Keira's lips were now close to Roxi's*

Keira: the best mothers...ever...

*Keira slowly kisses Roxi*
======================================

Maybe she's right. Maybe I can't get through to him. But it felt like I did. I have to try. No one can give up so easily. I did a long time ago. Til I found my Angel.

Now Roxi's Dad needs a Angel....I will be that Angel for him.

======================================

*Keira is seen looking at Twitter. She giggles as she sees a pic Roxi and Kah was talking about*

Keira: Hehehehehe and Retweet.

*Keira giggles again*

Keira: Kah kissed a girl and she liked it! Hehehe

Roxi: You're silly.

Keira: That's what you get for telling me that. In fact...

*Keira smirks as she puts it on her phone*

Keira: Look at that, new Wallpaper, hehe

*Keira giggles*

Roxi: I think you need to worry less about Kah, and more about the Angel Clan

Keira: Roxi. Don't worry. I'm focused. I don't understand why you think I'm not. I am. After the last time with Melanie, trust me. She won't get another title belt from me. Lucy or NO Lucy!

Roxi: I'm glad you're focused. I know sometimes you can get a little distracted. You were a great Roulette champion, and I wouldn't pass on your for a partner any day. You have come into your own as a wrestler, more than I could have hoped for.

Keira: Good. Cause legit. Lucy, her ass, it's getting liposuction. Melanie, she's the one I'm pinning. She's asked for it. I love her, but revenge is a dish best served in a stripper joint

*Keira stands up and begins to make Kung fu noises and being a idiot*

Keira: MELANIE WILL KNOW MY KUNG FU GRIP! Or...Seven Sins....whichever

*Roxi can only shake her head*

Roxi: I'm glad you to know you're focused. The point is, we beat the Angel clan before, this is just another test. They've only gotten better. We can't afford to lose focus. Our training has to be top notch, like it always has been.

Keira: Yea, we have. But it was non title. I can't lose to The Angel Clan. I can't lose to Melanie again. She needs to know we're the undefeated team. We can't...no...we WON'T be beat!

Roxi: It's going to be tough, but... Team Hero is on the road to history!

*Roxi stand up and hugs Keira*

Keira: Mhmm, History of title reigns, History of Love and History of Booze, Babes and Bitchin Parties!

*Keira sees Roxi looking at her sternly*

Roxi: What?

Keira: Or get that look every time I wanna have fun

Keira: Take me to that S&M Club you tried to avoid for over a year?

Roxi: ....You are the worst....

Keira: You love it

*All of a sudden, Keira gets a ring from her communicator*

Keira: And fun's over. What's up, Mood Killer? I mean, Vision?

Vision: Guys... there's a body in dead man's alley.

Roxi: Oh... That's no good. Can't Murphy and police handle regular murders?

Keira: ...We did put Amelia in jail...didn't we?

Vision: Looks like we have a serial killer on our hands. Bodies have been turning up looking the same. Cut up, missing personal affects.

Roxi: Like what?

Vision: One woman was missing a shoe, One her purse, and this one, a wedding ring

Roxi: Does that add up?

Vision: Same M.O., same wounds. Stabbed numerous times, throat slit

Roxi: Any leads?

Vision: None so far. Police are still gathering evidence.

Keira: It's gotta be Amelia, the bitch's out of Jail!

Vision: I don't think so, she's been sent to a max security prison. This was while she was out, and since she's been in.

Roxi: Maybe it's Lei.

Vision: I'd head over there, see what you can find.

*Keira rushes to the closet and puts on her costume*

Roxi: We're on it.

*Roxi joins Keira in putting on their costumes as they head out of the window, flying to Dead man's alley.*

Keira: Why did they even come here? I mean, it's called DEAD MAN'S alley...

Roxi: Something tells me this is where they died, but not by choice.

Keira: Again...it's called Dead Man's Alley...

*Keira was seen ignored by Roxi*

Roxi: This is a mess.

Keira: Really? I didn't know that, Keira! It's true, Keira! It's called Dead Man's Alley! I feel so stupid, Keira!

Roxi: What is wrong with you?

Keira: You're ignoring me...when I was stating the obvious

Roxi: I'm sorry I ignored you. I'm trying to do something to figure out this case.

Keira: Would be good to test out the new glasses

Roxi: New glasses?

Keira: Put them on, they'll help examine the crime scene

*Keira gives the glasses to Roxi*

Roxi: Thanks

*Roxi tries on the glasses, looking around for any clues that could lead anywhere*

Roxi: Hmmm...

Keira: Anything?

*She keeps looking around, finding some blood spatter scattered about, all of which could be a match, but also none. Keira waits as she looks at the edges of the alley for any signs of life*

Roxi: There's a lot of blood here. All of which is possibly the deceased, but then again, none of it could be

*Roxi continues to look finding no drag marks or anything that seems to show the murder took place here.*

Roxi: If I had to guess, I'd say this was just the dump site. The killer wants these found.

Keira: No blood trail?

Roxi: There's blood all over this place. But nothing from the area around the body...

Keira: Damn, not even a trail

Roxi: Nothing. We'll have to get Vision in on police reports.

*Roxi takes off the glasses*

Roxi: I still think this was a dump site. Maybe Vision will know more if he can get access to the reports.

*Roxi walks over to Keira*

Roxi: Come on, let's go before they come back for the body and accuse us doing something wrong.

Keira: Yea, let's.

*Roxi and Keira fly back to their apartment calling Vision*

Vision: Anything?

Roxi: Not enough to go on. We'll need the other case files to compare

Vision: I'll see what I can do. This would be much easier if you had an in, in the police.

Keira: I know, like we freaking know anyone who was in the po...waaaait. ROXI!!!!

Roxi: Huh?

Keira: I might know who!

Roxi: You do?

Keira: Yea...Amy Smith!

Roxi: Hmm... we'll... we'll have to get a hold of her.

*Roxi cracks a small smile*

Roxi: Vision, see what you can do, We have to pay a visit to a friend.

Keira: Yay! I helped that doesn't involved pervertedness or choking a bitch

Roxi: Keira...

Vision: Keira...

Keira: Jeez....at the same time....

Roxi: Keep up the hard work Vision.

*Roxi ends the call and turns to Keira*

Keira: What?

Roxi: What was that about?

Keira: All you guys think I am is a perv and wanting to bust heads...I can come up with a good idea...

Roxi: I know you can. I never said you couldn't.

*Roxi stands up and hugs Keira*

Roxi: I know I can't do this without you. I need you.

Keira: Roxi...

Roxi: I never want you to feel like I do everything myself. I need you. You're my rock, my partner. You are my everything. I'm sorry if sometimes I don't let you do everything you want to. But you know how important you are to me, and how much I want you to succeed.

Keira: I know, Roxi. I love you, I trust you

Roxi: I love you too.. Come on, let's go pay Amy Jo... a visit.

*Roxi and Keira head out to seek out Amy Jo Smyth as the scene fades*

==============================================
Wow. Who would have thought I'd be here right now. After 2 defenses, over 100 Days. Me and Roxi, Team Hero. Still Undefeated, Still Tag Team Champions.

For a few days, our friends have sent us replies and all of that. How Roxi was a Trailblazer and how I'm LGBT's First Lady of Wrestling. I still don't see myself as that. But, I do honor it. Me and Roxi are THE Team. We have a bond that can never be broken. It's like the poster that I saw long ago that stays true to this day

"Roxi and Keira: True Love"

It's true love that has kept us together and together, we are still the Bombshell Tag Team Champions.

Now, we will be tested once again as me and Roxi face off against the Angel Clan.

The last time we fought them as a tag team, well, you know the story by now. We won. But this was before we became the Tag Team Champions. Now, the stakes are even higher. But the thing is, The Angel Clan lost. They lost to the Fallen before they even got a shot at us and we beat the Fallen for the third time.

That just asks the question, can they really beat us?

Melanie, you and I have fought before. In singles competition, for another title. Even you know this is something I have to do. I have to redeem myself and finally beat you and retain a title against you. Melanie, I love you. But when it comes to being a tag competitor, you don't have what it takes to beat me and Roxi. We're undefeated for a reason.

Lucy, I have a lot of respect for you. But you're in the same boat as Melanie. You lost to The Fallen as well, which in turn, they lost to us. Lucy, as much as I love and respect you, just like Melanie. Can you really beat us? You lost to us before. But now, the stakes are higher. Can you really pull the ace out of your sleeve?

Valentine's Day is coming. Will it be the bond of Angels that will soar or will it be the Bond of true love, partners, wives that will seize it all? I can't wait to find out and we retain our titles against The Angel Clan.

See you soon.

 {The scene opens with Roxi and Keira preparing to head out to find Amy Jo Smyth. Keira gets a puzzled look on her face and turns to Roxi.}

Keira – So… where are we going? How exactly do we find Amy Jo?

Roxi – Atlantic City.

Keira – Atlantic City? That place is a tourist destination. She’ll be among thousands of people.

Roxi – We can narrow down the search.

Keira – How?

Roxi – We’re going at night, and we hit the actual Boardwalk.

Keira – How does that narrow it down?

Roxi – If we wait long enough, she’ll be there.

Keira – That is a tremendous shot in the dark. You seriously can’t be banking on that.

{Roxi turns to Keira, shrugging.}

Roxi – Oh, I can just text her.

{Keira glares at Roxi, not liking the joke.}

Keira – Why would you do that to me? And how did you get her number anyway?

Roxi – I went to her party she had.

{Keira scoffs, seemingly insulted.}

Keira – And I wasn’t invited? Why not?

{Keira puts her hands on her hips, awaiting an explanation.}

Roxi – Because… Taryn was there.

{Keira frowns and shakes her head.}

Keira – Then it’s probably good I wasn’t there. I would have twisted her stupid head off like a bottle cap! And then poured booze down the neckhole. And then set her on fire!

{Roxi clutches Keira shoulder to stop her from continuing with her graphic description.}

Roxi – Relax. You’ll get your chance soon enough. But it was a party for her title victory, It was as rough as it sounded, and Taryn was acting really jealous of me and everybody there, I think she was drunk.

{Keira rolls her eyes in disgust.}

Keira – Big surprise there.

Roxi – Knock it off.

{Keira sticks out her tongue as Roxi pulls out her phone and texts Amy Jo.}

Roxi – Just waiting on the reply.

Keira – Well, I give it 20 seconds or 20 minutes.

Roxi – What do you mean?

Keira – There’s really no in between with people. They either reply super fast, or super slow.

{Roxi thinks about this for a moment.}

Roxi – Huh… you know that’s pretty true.

{Roxi’s phone dings the response of Amy Jo. She looks up at Keira after reading it and smiles.}

Roxi – She’s on her way.

Keira – Wow. Alright then. That was fast…

{Keira’s eyes narrow. She turns to Roxi with a suspicious look on her face.}

Keira – That was… too fast. What happened between you two?

Roxi – We made out. For like… 5 seconds.

Keira – That’s it?

Roxi – Yeah.

Keira – You swear?

Roxi – Yes!

Keira – Don’t lie.

Roxi – That’s all that happened. I swear. I asked for it. She did it, end of story. That’s all I wanted from her, and that’s all that happened.

{Keira stares at Roxi for a moment.}

Roxi – You don’t trust me? You know I love you. More than anything in the world.

{Keira finally drops her guard, relaxing her frame.}

Keira – I trust you.

Roxi – Alright, now… let’s go.

{Keira takes Roxi’s hand and the two transmit to Atlantic City in full costume. Arrving on a nearby roof, Roxi and Keira make their way into an alley, near the bar they called Amy Jo to.}

Keira – So… what do we do?

Roxi – We wait…

Keira – No, I meant… you know… we’re in costume…

Roxi – Oh… right… well… we have to trust Amy Jo.

{Keira shakes her head, no really agreeing with this.}

Keira – Are you sure that’s wise? She doesn’t really know us.

Roxi – It’s the only way. Either that, or we have a super hard time convincing her to help two wrestlers turned amateur police officer about a murder case we’ve collected evidence for.

{Keira sighs, nodding in agreement.}

Keira – Okay, we’ll do this your way.

Roxi – Thank you.

{Roxi and Keira wait for Amy Jo to show up, and sure enough, she appears, standing outside the bar as requested. She looks around curiously for Roxi and Keira, until she peers into the alley, finding the two superheroes waiting.}

Roxi – There she is.

{Amy Jo looks extremely confused at the two masked women in front of her. She shakes her head in utter dismay.}

Amy Jo – Um… I’m either too drunk, or not drunk enough. I am so confused right now.

Roxi – Amy Jo… It’s me.

Amy Jo – Me who?

{Roxi motions for Amy Jo to come closer, which she cautiously obliges. Roxi looks around, making sure the coast is clear before she pulls her mask up. Amy Jo looks a little shocked.}

Roxi – Yeah.

Amy Jo – Roxi? Taking the whole superhero thing quite literally aren’t you?

Roxi – You don’t know the half of it.

{Amy Jo looks over at Keira.}

Amy Jo – So… this must be Keira.

Roxi – Yes.

Amy Jo – So… what’s with the get ups? Not that I’m opposed to you in skin tight spandex.

{Amy Jo smirks while Roxi slides her mask back down.}

Roxi – We need your help.

{Amy Jo arches a brow.}

Amy Jo – Oh? Uh… I’m a little too old for dress up. And…. Also I’m married so this… probably isn’t a good time for a three-way.

Roxi – No, no… nothing like that.

Keira – Though we’ll keep that option in mind.

{Amy Jo folds her arms and shakes her head.}

Amy Jo – Seriously…What is this?

Roxi – We need you to help us, you’re a cop right?

Amy Jo – Retired… Why?

Roxi – We’ve got… a case we’re working on, and we need your expertise.

{Amy Jo looks confused, trying to put two and two together.}

Amy Jo – Wait, are you trying to tell me you really are superheroes? Is that… that was this is?

{Roxi stares at her, and then shrugs.}

Roxi – Yes?

Keira – It’s all true.

Amy Jo – Wait… seriously? I thought Bryan was the only one dumb enough to do that.

Roxi – Yeah, been meaning to talk to him about that.  He needs to stop if he already hasn’t.

Amy Jo – That’s a bit… hypocritical, don’t you think?

Roxi – I’ve been doing this for a long time. I know the risks, so does Keira. Bryan may get himself hurt.

Amy Jo – You guys are taking this way too seriously.

Roxi – The point is, we need your help.

Amy Jo – Can’t the superheroes take care of things?  Why would you need a mere mortal? I’m not sure how I would fare against some jacked up super mutant or something.

Roxi – It’s nothing like that. Neither Keira nor I would ask you to get involved in anything like that. If it was, we wouldn’t be here for your help.

{Amy Jo folds her arms, looking more intrigued than anything else.}

Amy Jo – So what’s the problem?

Roxi – We’ve got a serial killer on the loose in the city.

Amy Jo – And the Police?

Roxi – Working on it. As are we.

Amy Jo – I don’t see how I fit into this…

Keira – The police… are not exactly forthcoming with information. They don’t like us too much.

Amy Jo – Well, all things considered, I can see why.

Keira – They’re supposed to cooperate. But, no such luck.

Amy Jo – Can’t the police handle it? It’s not exactly a sea monster or supervillain you’re talking about

Roxi – It’s our job to protect people.  The Police are overburdened as it is. We help get this case in order, and this guy behind bars, the better off we’ll all be.

Amy Jo – So… what is it you need me to do?

Roxi – You may know some people down there. Come with us, help us with any profiling that can be done.  Maybe you can get access to things we can’t. Files, evidence…

Amy Jo – I don’t know what kind of cop you think I am, but it’s not like I can just barge in there and take over the case.

Roxi – Not asking you to do that, but, maybe come back to our apartment, we’ll show you what we have, and see if that helps?

{A questioning look crosses Amy Jo’s face as her arms remain folded. She looks around, not really sure what to make of this whole situation.}

Amy Jo – I can’t just… up and leave here right now. Got things to sort out. As I’m sure you know.

{Amy Jo gives Roxi a knowing look. Roxi nods in an understanding way.}

Roxi – I get that.

Keira – It’s not like you’d be gone long.

{Keira steps forward, in front of Roxi.}

Keira – We can take you to the apartment and back in no time flat.

Amy Jo – Excuse me?

Roxi – We… we can transmit. Anywhere we need to go in an instant.

{Amy Jo scoffs, really not believing this.}

Amy Jo – Okay… this is a joke, right? If this is a joke, it’s no longer funny. I mean, do you think I’m stupid? You have super powers?

Roxi – How do you think we got here?

Amy Jo – You were in AC, weren’t you?

Roxi – No. We were are our apartment in Tampa.

Amy Jo – Bullshit.

{Amy Jo can’t help but shake her head, the idea insane to her.}

Amy Jo – Okay, okay, joke’s over. Alright? Don’t insult my intelligence. This –

{Roxi cuts her off, floating a few feet into the air, off the ground, and pulling Amy Jo up with her. Amy Jo’s face is now bewilderment as Roxi gently sets them down.}

Amy Jo – Holy shit you can fly!

Roxi – Can you please… help us?

{Amy Jo has to sit down on a crate to figure everything out. She looks at  Roxi, shaking her head.}

Amy Jo – I… I… You said We could be there instantly?

Keira – Yeap. In and out. We’ll put you right back here if you want.

Amy Jo – Okay… look, no offense, but… my head really isn’t in the right place right now. I… I’ll have to think about it. Because… a LOT of shit just changed.

Keira – It’s… it’s alright.

{Keira turns away, looking a little disappointed. Roxi bends down to face Amy Jo who is still trying to catch her breath so to speak.}

Roxi – We’re trusting you. We figured this was the best way to do it. Be honest with you. Keira thought you’d be able to help us. Just… call me, alright? Even if you don’t want to help.

Amy Jo – Yeah…. Yeah sure.

{Roxi pats Amy Jo on the shoulder, before she can Keira round the bend to a clear spot, before disappearing, and leaving Amy Jo alone with her thoughts.}

Out of the frying pan, and into the fire as they say.

I’ll be honest here, never expected to have to face the Fallen, and defend the tag titles so close to another title defense against The Angel Clan. Heck, if we had lost, we’d be sitting here with no match at all. But once again, Team hero proved to up to the task of beating the Fallen. We got the job done for the 3rd time in a row. We proved we were better than they were. Once wasn’t a fluke, the second time was proof, and the third time… it’s Validation. The Fallen can go back to the drawing board because we proved once and for all, we are the superior team.

But, of course, the match was not without its share of scares. I thought maybe that Keira and I got saved a little bit by the time limit expiring. And that’s on us. We should have been better than that. We both knew going in we could not give the Fallen chances like that. I mean, no sports team going into a game thinking, well… we’re probably going to make a few mistakes. Do something dumb and potentially cost ourselves. We didn’t think that going in. We knew the Fallen would be tough, like they always are. They don’t get easier to wrestle or defeat. Especially this last time. I mean, third time facing us for the tag titles. We had no doubts they would come in hungry… no pun intended there, and no doubt they would come in, ready to fight right to the end. And that’s exactly what they did.  Did we get a little lucky? Yes. I in no way will sell the Fallen short on that. They took us to the limit, and gave us everything they had. But when the smoke cleared, Team Hero are still the reigning Bombshell’s tag team champions, and now at 111 days and counting.

Making history having these titles, it’s important. But, obviously not the most important. Keira and I want to cement our legacy as not only a good tag team, not only a great tag team, but the best. The best ever. That’s what we’re after. That means not only do we have to break the record for longest tag title reign, we have to beat everyone in our path. I’d say we’re off to a good start so far, but obviously, things are only going to get tougher, as we get closer to our goal. More eyes, more scrutiny. And that’s okay with us. Keira and I have never backed down from a challenge. And we won’t start now. We just came off beating perhaps what is the best tag team in SCW history, for the third time. And now, we move on to something different. This is our time to prove that it’s not just the Fallen we can beat when it matters, but any team, on any given day. This is another tough test in the Angel Clan.

And it’s another challenge Team Hero will rise to meet. No question about it.

We always have been able to rise to challenges.  People didn’t give Keira a chance to do what she’s done, and she’s proved them all wrong. People thought Mikah was going to roll over me, and I beat her. Slowly, but surely, we’re going to do what people have been wanting us to do for a very long time. Change SCW for the better. Make the bombshell’s division better. This is the road we’re on, and we’re well on our way to doing just that. It makes me so proud that I get to do it, with my wife.

The road to being the best is a long journey. Keira and I are on that road, and it’s been harder each time we go out there. We face the best. We can beat the best. The Angel Clan has been eyeing this shot for a long time, and it’s no secret how talent they are. Both former singles champions, and Melanie took the Roulette title that Keira was so proud of away from her. Obviously that still stings with Keira. So this defense means a lot to her, and it of course, means a lot to me. She’s my wife after all, and I will stand by her side no matter what. And we’ll continue to be the best tag team in SCW, and accomplish our goals the same way we do everything.

Together.

{The next day,  Roxi and Keira are at home, lounging around, when there is a knock at the door. Keira answers it, to find Roxi’s sister Nicole, and Keira’s sister Sencerity  as well.}

Nicole – Hey Ke!

Sencerity – Ke!

{Keira hugs them both as Keira looks genuinely surprised to see them. They come in, and take a seat at the kitchen table.}

Keira – Uh… guys, what brings you guys around?

Nicole – Well, we were in the neighborhood, and thought we’d drop by.

Keira – Sen… everything going okay?

Sencerity – Yeap. Things at the training center are amazing as always. How are you guys?

Roxi – Oh, you know. The usual.

{Roxi joins in, hugging her sister and Sencerity before taking a seat at the table.}

Roxi – How’s mom?

Nicole – She’s a lot better. I think she’s completely sober now. Thanks to you bringing her back. Of course, living with me isn’t so bad I guess. She’s just cleaning up a lot. Really throws me off, you know?

Roxi – Yeah, she does that.

Sencerity – She is a mom. And… Nicole’s place could use it.

{Nicole pops Sen in the arm and scoffs, as they all share a laugh.}

Nicole – So… what are you guys up to?

Roxi – Nothing, why?

Nicole, you know what I think? I think we need a sister’s day!

{Sencerity’s eyes light up.}

Sencerity – Yeah, you and me Ke. We’ll go out shopping.

Keira – For Amiibos?

Sencerity – Uh… sure, among other things.

Keira – Great!

Sencerity – We’ll get maybe a manicure or something too!

{Keira smiles, and looks over at Roxi and Nicole}

Keira – What will you guys do?

Roxi – I… I don’t know, I’m sure we can find something.

Nicole – Oh yeah, we’ll hit the town just as hard!

Keira – Awesome. So… I guess… let me change?

Sencerity – Sure… take your time.

{Keira giggles as she enters the bedroom to the change.}

Roxi – Thanks for doing this Sen.

Sencerity – Yeah.. I’ll keep her away for a while.

Nicole – What’s the big idea anyway Rox?

Roxi – I’ll tell you after they’re gone.

{Keira returns a few minutes later, a nice oufit on as Sencerity stands up.}

Sencerity – Well, besties… me and my sis here… we’re gonna go tear it up!

{Keira is almost whisked out of the door by Sencerity, blowing a kiss to Roxi as she leaves.}

Keira – Love you!

{The door shuts. Roxi stands up and rubs her face. Nicole notices Roxi’s uneasiness.}

Nicole – You okay Rox? What’s the deal?

{Roxi sighs, turning to her sister.}

Roxi – I told Keira about our dad a while back.

Nicole – So?

Roxi – She went to see him in Shady Acres.

{Nicole gasps for a split second, and then regains her composure.}

Nicole – And… she saw him?

Roxi – Yeah.

Nicole – Shit… how’d she manage that?

Roxi – I don’t know.

Nicole – Is… is he okay?

Roxi – From what she said, yeah.  He seems fine. But… as usual, he didn’t want to see us anymore.

Nicole – He’s been like that since he left. *sigh* I tried Rox. I sent him a Christmas card and everything. And –

Roxi – And it came back. He sends everything back. I used to write him every week. Nothing. He still blames us.

Nicole – But we didn’t do anything! He had the breakdown. He left US! He was living in that old house when I found him. He wasn’t a functioning adult. He was a broken man. I took him to where he could get help.

{Nicole throws her hands up in frustration.}

Roxi – I know. I know. Maybe… maybe he wanted to stay with us…

Nicole – And do what? Rox, that house was in disrepair. He smelled like he hadn’t showered in months. I wasn’t ready to take care of him. Jesus I could barely take care of myself back then. I was just breaking into wrestling. You weren’t around. What was I supposed to do? Or you?

{Roxi places her hands on Nicole’s shoulders to calm her down.}

Roxi – I know, Nicole.  I wish I could have been around to at least try and help. But he rejected anything and everything I’ve tried.

{Nicole turns away, shrugging.}

Nicole – Same here. And now Ke’s kicking over a hornet’s nest. Why did she go in the first place?

Roxi – She was trying to help.  Lately she’s been… feeling like a weak link I think. So many people like me, and the same just isn’t said for her. She feels like my sidekick, and not my partner. She was trying to do some good.

Nicole – She’s always been good to Sen and I. Why would she feel like that?

Roxi – Her past… It seems that no matter what she’s going to feel inferior. And it’s not true. Her heart was in the right place.

Nicole – It was. What do you think we should do?

Roxi – I’m not 100% sure right now. Keira… she… she may have got to him a little. Maybe made a bit of a connection. At least she thinks so.

Nicole – Do you?

Roxi – Keira has her ways of reaching people. I know she meant well. I’m just concerned that her efforts are going to be for nothing and she’ll end up sad again. I don’t want her to think she failed.

Nicole – Do… do you think we need to try too?

Roxi – I… I would like to but… you know, that could ruin all of Keira’s work. And the last thing I want is that.

Nicole – Yeah… but still… I mean, do you think it’s worth it?

Roxi – I’m not sure. Dad hasn’t been around us in a long time. Things have clearly changed. I mean… Mom’s back. I know what Keira is trying to do. I mean, us… Sen… Maria and Keri are the only family she has left.

{Nicole sits down, running her fingers through her hair and sighing}

Nicole – Well… let me know when you decide what you’re going to do. I want to at least be there to see him. He deserves that.

Roxi – I will. Thanks for getting Sen to help.

{Nicole smiles and waves Roxi off.}

Nicole – It wasn’t that hard. But… you know we still should have a sister day. You and me.

{Roxi smiles, shrugging and rubbing the back of her head.}

Roxi – Yeah. It would be nice.

Nicole – Lunch?

Roxi – Let’s do it.

{Nicole stands up as Roxi grabs the car keys for them to head out as the scene fades.}

It’s no secret that the Angel Clan and Team Hero are on good terms. Melanie and Lucy are our friends. They have been for some time. I remember when they came in not wanting to have to go against them right away because we were friends. It sucked to have to beat them at their very first SCW match, but at the same time, Keira and I were just establishing ourselves as credible tag contenders. And look at how things turned out for us.

That’s not to say the Angel Clan is slacking in any department. They both came in and won singles gold in short order here, and it wasn’t exactly slouches they beat to do it. Keira is no pushover, and Amy Marshall is a hall of famer. Both are tough to beat on any given night. So, the Angel Clan is just as good individually as they are as a team. Once again, we have our work cut out for us like never before. The Angel Clan has only gotten better since our first encounter, and they obviously are in a title drought, not having too many chances until Mel won that tournament, and…  good on her for doing that. And although she came up short, it still was an amazing feat. Mel and Lucy are going to give us everything they have, I expect nothing less. And we need to be on our game. In top form in order to turn back a second set of challengers.

But I will always believe in Team Hero. I will always believe that we can beat any team put in front of us. The Angel Clan will no doubt be a fun and exciting match-up for Team Hero. We have fought each and every opponent as Team Hero with the same focus. To beat them, and to be the best. Regardless of who it is, and what their backgrounds are. Team Hero is capable of beating each and every team we step in the ring with. The Angel Clan have lined up, and Team Hero will be ready. We don’t have a choice. We will fight, and we will earn our legacy every step of the way. We will not back down, give up, or back off from any challenge put in front of us. We will be champions to the end. We will true, fighting champions. That’s what Team Hero has always strived to be, whether it be singles, or tag team competition. It’s why we have been so successful.  And the main reason we will continue to be, after My Bloody Valentine II.

Mel, Lucy… I wish you both the best of luck. I know how hungry you guys are… but Team Hero… we play for keeps. I know you’ll bring it. You can expect it from us just the same.

See you soon.
