Chapter 5: Nightmare
It was after midnight and as every night Lucy Seraphina would watch a horror movie. For her tonight’s feature would be the classic “A Nightmare on Elm Street” one of her favorites. Popcorn filled the air as Lucy focused on the screen. Her right hand transfers popcorn into her mouth as she watched Nancy set up the traps. The final show down between her and Freddy was coming up soon and this was Lucy’s favorite part. Knowing how smart Nancy was calculating out her traps made Lucy smile. Women are smart despite what people think.

A storm brewed outside as the wind howled loudly. Rain was pelted the manor as thunder echoed in the lands. Lucy out of the corner of her eye saw lightning streaking across the sky. She ignored it as she continued to pay attention to the movie. Suddenly just as Nancy went to call Glenn the tv went black and so did the rest of Rachel’s place. Lucy sighed and grabbed her flash light knowing either a breaker was tripped or the power was out. Lucy was in her black batman tank top and black plaid pj pants as her hair was tied up.

Lucy: C’mon it was getting good. Hopefully it’s just the breaker.

Lucy turned the flashlight on used it to look around. Nothing moved and that made her smile. Lucy started to walk from the living room all the way to the kitchen and that was actually a little bit of a walk. Once Lucy made it to the kitchen she swore she heard something moving around. Lucy looked and saw out the window a tree branch hitting it. Lucy sighed and shook her head. She felt a bit disappointed she was this paranoid. Lucy threw open the door and walked down the stairs to the basement. The wind blew the door closed behind her and Lucy jumped. Lucy turned the flashlight onto the stairs and slowly walked down them.

Lucy: I seriously need to talk about her installing an elevator.

Once Lucy made it down into the basement she felt a chill run up her back. She turned and looked up the stairs feeling like she was being watched. She could feel her heart starting to beat hard. Lucy turned back around and walked over to the breaker box. Lucy opened it and traced her hand on it. Suddenly her phone started to ring “The One Miss Call” ring tone.

Lucy: W-what? This isn’t my ringtone or anyone’s.

Lucy’s heart started to act up again as her left hand trembled to get a grasp on the phone. The ringtone played again in a loop as Lucy finally got it. She didn’t bother to check the caller ID.

Lucy: Hello?

“Hello Lucy”.

Lucy screamed loudly and dropped the phone. The battery popped out but the phone was still lit like it was in it. Lucy looked down at it and didn’t move hoping it turn off. She heard a laugh from it and she backed away from it.

Lucy: What do you want?!

“Well you already know.”

Lucy: No! Leave me alone!

“What you don’t want to see me again?”

Lucy: No!

Lucy jumped again after hearing a knock from the door above her. Anxiety set in for her as she could tell the door was vibrating. Lucy tripped backwards and grabbed the phone. She put it back together and shined the flashlight up onto the door. Lucy quickly looked around for a weapon; anything that she could have used to defend herself.

“Lucy you should come home. We miss you!”

Lucy: Why would I? You all are complete psychopaths!

“Oh Lucy that hurts to know you think of that of your Father.”

Lucy tried to end the call but it wasn’t. Her phone froze and she swore under her breath. The door kept getting knocked on, louder and louder.

“Let me in Luce please, I miss you!”

Lucy: No no! Go away.

Lucy screamed so loud that she didn’t hear the door open from a kick. Lucy dropped the flashlight and a light shined on her eyes. Lucy screamed louder that she could have tasted blood by this time.

“Lucy what are you doing down here?”

Lucy looked up and saw red hair.

Lucy: Rachel?

Rachel: Yeah it’s me…what are you doing down here?

Lucy slowly got up to her feet. She checked the phone and the call was gone. Lucy ran over to Rachel and started to cry on her shoulder. Rachel hugged her as Lucy started to explain everything that had happened. Rachel by this time though was concern about what Lucy had experienced. Rachel sighed and went over to the breaker. She found the one and switched it back on. Next Rachel took Lucy upstairs into the kitchen.

Lucy: I…

Rachel: Hey, don’t speak. Just relax Lucy; I don’t need you getting an anxiety attack. Hang on a moment.

Rachel turned away from her and walked over to the fridge. Rachel opened it and took out a bottle with a red liquid in it. Rachel poured it into a glass and gave it to Lucy. Lucy did a weak smile and took a sip of it. Rachel sat at the table with her and her eyes showed concern.

Lucy: Thank you.

Rachel: You’re welcome, you’ll be okay. You think it was your Father? I mean how could he do something like this? The grounds are sealed so he couldn’t be able to get in.

Lucy: I have no idea honestly. It was like Anisim is trying some new mind game or spell. God I felt like I was in a horror movie or something. Really I was scared shitless.

Rachel: You sure you’re not hallucinating?

Lucy: I’m sure Rei.

Rachel: You have been having nightmares. You watching horror flicks isn’t helping.

Lucy: Rachel I’m fine! Honest to God.

Rachel: No offense sis; doesn’t seem like it though.

Lucy: What do expect? Alright when you found me though what did I look like?

Rachel: Like you were about to piss yourself, like you woke up from a nightmare and really your screaming woke me up and probably the dead.

Lucy bit her lip and looked away from Rachel. She leaned back in her seat trying to make sense of what Anisim was doing or at least was trying to. Rachel knew Lucy was really uneasy and Rachel felt Lucy screams in her soul. Rachel went over to one of the cabinets and grabbed five coloured candles and lit them. Rachel set them down in the center of the table and Lucy slowly nursed her drink.

Rachel: This should help.

Lucy: I hope so.

Rachel: Well I’ll call Mel soon and let her know.

Lucy: Yeah that’ll be a good idea.

Lucy placed her head on the table. Rachel went over and started to rub her back in circles. Rachel was trying to calm her down. She knew that Lucy being like this wasn’t a good thing. It was like her when she loses control of her emotions. Lucy felt like she was going to be sick though. Lucy turned her head.

Rachel: Shhh it’s okay Luce, I’m here and I won’t leave you.

Lucy: Promise?

Rachel: I do, just like the day.

Lucy smiled as she remembered that day.

Rachel: There’s the smiles I’m looking for.

Lucy: Shush you!

Rachel: Make me.

Lucy playfully hit Rachel and Rachel laughed.

Rachel: Mel blacked out.

Lucy: I heard.

Rachel: It worries me. I mean Roxi and Melissa tried to talk to her about it. Sam's scared.

Lucy: Mel doesn't remember anything during a blackout! Really what where they looking for?

Rachel shrugged.

Rachel: Why haven't you blacked out?

Lucy: What?

Rachel: You have a scar also but no blackouts.

Lucy: Fuck if I know. I don't question it anymore! All I know is that this shit needs to get finished and now. We can't afford anymore blackouts with Mel. You saw what happened, she could have finished Dorn.

Rachel laughed.

Lucy: Not funny.

Rachel: Yes it is!

Lucy sighed.

Lucy: Okay besides our tag match I have to take care of SCW business. Four way and winner faces Amy Marshall.

Rachel: Who all is in it?

Lucy: Me, Kate Steel, Traci Patterson and Jade Manendez-Arcador.

Rachel: You got this.

Lucy: Oh I know I do and you know why? I'm the best! Honestly we're on the top of our game and I am ready to take down anyone. I'm an assassin and I plan on taking these targets out and the shot for myself. It's my time and no one is going to stop it! These women can try but they'll fail. They're not me and they don't know the true struggle we've been through. So if I need to make a bitch bleed so help me I will. This time around as well I won't get screwed out of the win. Oh I still have anger from that and I remember things like that. Like Rachel here I can harness it and use it in the ring and that's what I'll do.

I mean look I'm going up against Jade who thinks that she'll beat me. I doubt that and I'll say why. In our match I didn't break a sweat and it was an easy match. Sorry but you're not on my level and I swear I'll beat you again. Really when have you won a match? I can't remember when I looked back on the file I had made up about you. You think you're good in the ring but I beg to differ. Seriously it's sad when people talk and they can't back it up. Really I want you to try to prove me wrong but I know you can't.

Then Traci Patterson...honestly who hasn't beaten you? You got a win against Twisted Sister so that's something to say at least. You're non-impressive, boring and I'm pretty sure you have no idea what you're doing in the ring. You keep fighting and that I do respect. But you're facing me in this match and two others. Really the odds are against you. If you get in my way I'm taking you out. Wrestling isn't a game, it's all about survival and that's something I am damn good at! You not so much...Really Traci it's put up or shut up time.

Last we got Kate Steel. Man I have no idea what to say about her to be honest. I know in LAW she's got a bad rap but I can't judge her. We've all done shit that was bad but honestly I think Kate is the competition I need in this match. I mean look Kate it's nothing personal but when I go out to that ring I plan on winning. Failure is never an option and people know that I back up my words. Really I'm going to enjoy seeing what you can try to do to win.

Ladies, I hope you're ready to go against someone who is skilled in the ring. I know I am and I am ready to win. I'm going to survive and take Amy on for the title. It is my time and no one is going to set me back! Step up if you can, survive if I let you and remember the assassin is coming for you all.

Rachel: Good job Luce.

Lucy: Thanks...so up for a horror movie?

Fade to black.
