Tampa Bay, Florida
After weeks and months of preparation London Brawling 2 had come and gone and it didn’t go in the way that the Warren family had hoped it would go in. Kate Steele did not win the World Championship and thus her feelings were really in the gutter. She had decided to become a little hermit as she refused the leave the house. Despite giving her all and pouring her heart into everything she just didn’t come out with the win that she was desperately looking for. Teddy tried everything in his power to help his wife through her funk but it just didn’t seem to have any effect. He needed to get away from it. So he had arranged to leave the house for a bit. He just needed to think about things. Teddy decided to go for a jog, and his jogging eventually brought him to a high school campus. He proceeded to run around the Tampa Bay Tech High School track.
The track was empty as Teddy ran almost a mile around the track. He stopped as he started to sweat and something caught his eyes. It was a man sitting down on the bleachers watching him, and that man was none other than his former best friend Todd Williams. Teddy glanced over at Todd as the two locked eyes with one another. There was silence between the two as Teddy took a long deep breath as Teddy couldn’t help but clap his hands together.
Todd: Bravo…. Bravo well done good sir, it’s honestly a blast to see you running circles around this track but I don’t know why you are even wasting your time…
Teddy just shook his head in disgust as he glared daggers back at the man. He stood face to face as he looked at him in the eyes.
Teddy: Last time I checked I didn’t need comments from the peanut gallery. What the fuck do you want?!
Todd: To be honest absolutely nothing…. Okay so maybe that was a lie. I was hoping that we could have a little chat just you and I. I know a few months ago we were at war with one another. You should remember when your wife put her hands on my daughter. She hurt her and damn near almost broke her arm.
Teddy quickly cuts him off.
Teddy: Keyword being almost and that didn’t excuse you kidnapping Juliet from Kate and I ,and us having to fight so fucking hard just to get her back. I don’t always support the mean things that my wife has done in the wrestling world but the one thing I do know is that Kate is my wife and I will always have her back. She is everything to me and I will do whatever it takes to make her happy…
Todd laughs as he looks back at Teddy.
Todd: Oh your wife must be a fucking mess right now considering she gave up the biggest advantage ever and fucked it up on challenging for a title when she could have taken that shit when Alicia didn’t expect it.
Teddy: And do exactly what you did in that one company four years ago when you won a stupid briefcase and cashed it in after an honourable World Championship match?! I am sorry but my wife isn’t you. She might be a lot of things but she has her honour and she will always stick to it even if it doesn’t pan out. Besides you shouldn’t be holding a grudge about the past considering things seemed to have paid off big time for your daughter Brittany. Just look at Brittany she won a huge tournament and she gets to be in the main event of SCW’s next big Pay Per View. She is in the driver’s seat and she gets exactly what she was waiting for. Her biggest dreams came true and it’s only fitting for the Lil Dream Machine considering she is the daughter of the Dreamer.
Todd nods his head as he looks back at Teddy.
Todd: I am proud of her. She has done more than I could ever imagine. I know that Crystal and I were pretty big fuck ups for parents but that girl has her head on her shoulders. She knows what she wants to do and the sky is really the limit for her. I hope she goes on and wins the championship so she could have everything she wants. That is how the story needs to end for her.
Teddy sighs as he looks back at Todd.
Teddy: Yeah… I had wished that Kate could have had that same luxury. She poured everything into that match with Alicia but it just wasn’t enough. She is very depressed about the whole situation. She feels like she is one big failure and I don’t know how to get her out of that funk. I tried telling jokes, Juliet tried hugging her but no matter what Kate just seems really out of it. I really I could do something for my wife.
Todd thinks about it for a few moments as he looks at Teddy in the eyes.
Todd: Look that is why I wanted to speak with you. We both seem to be in a major dilemma.
Teddy: What do you mean by we both to seem in a dilemma? I would say life is going really amazing for me. I have the loving family, I live in a beautiful home, I get to live off of Kate’s trust fund and…
Todd looks deeply into the eyes of Teddy as he just shakes his head at her.
Todd: And do you want your entire life to be defined by being Kate’s little Bitch?! It’s bad enough you took her surname of Steele…
Teddy: LOOK IT’S JUST A WRESTLING NAME… Away from the cameras and the spotlight we are both Warrens! I guarantee you it’s all about us being the Warrens. We just do the whole Steele thing because she has had the better wrestling career and her name means something.
Todd: Well it doesn’t have to always be like that! I mean let’s be honest do you honestly enjoy smooching off of your wife?! I know the answer definitely must be no. You are way better than that. You are a man you need to go out there and be a provider and you have all of the tools in the world to be the man Kate needs you to be. You can achieve your own things and be able to put a smile on her face.
Teddy: And how exactly do you think I can just go about and do the such, I have basically tried everything.
Todd: You could always take your wrestling career more seriously…
Teddy raises his eyes in return.
Teddy: Excuse me?!
Todd: You heard me… Look the biggest problem is you just aren’t passionate about wrestling anymore and I have been feeling the same way. SCU hasn’t been treating you kindly. You barely win and things aren’t the same, and I thought that I would amount to some really big things on the SCW roster but that just wasn’t the case. I know there’s a bigger future for me out there and I just haven’t found it yet. I have been thinking and what if what we both need is a change of scenery?!
Teddy: Please do tell you have my full attention.
Todd smiles as he nods his head in agreement.
Todd: Look we both have been competing in opposite companies and maybe it has been the wrong thing all along. You are away from your wife, and Jenny and my own wife are down in SCU. What if we asked for a trade so I could reunite with my wife and my sister, and you could go be with your wife?! It would make the most sense and I bet that would inspire us to both do some big things.
Teddy nods his head.
Teddy: That does seem like the right thing to do but to be honest I have been afraid of the SCW roster. When I joined that roster Christian Underwood had his eyes on me as being somebody to really bring a breath of fresh air to the roster. Yet when I came before I was nothing but a big letdown. I didn’t stay around much and I bet Christian really hates me for what I did to the company. I don’t want to go through that again of a misuse of potential and to disappoint the masses.
Todd: You can say that but you never know until you try right?! On top of that there’s no place on that roster for me but you have a huge place there. You have your wife there and right now she could use you more than you realize. I know we haven’t seen eye to eye that much before but you know I am right about all of this. If Kate sees you working your ass off and grinding to be the best she in turn is going to do whatever she can in her power to get back on track. It’s something that you both could be doing together. You have a huge window of opportunities on that roster and you would be happy. You could prove to everyone that your SCU career was a fluke and when focused you can ascend to the top. SCW can you give you that chance at redemption and it’s like a new beginning.
Teddy smiles as he slowly looks back at Todd.
Teddy: I guess you do have a point but what about you man? What are you going to do?
Todd: I am going to unleash havoc upon the SCU roster. I might just get my family back together and do some big things together but that’s me and of course you have your own thing to do. I think I am going to lobby for a trade so you can go with Kate and I can be with my family. Teddy you and I haven’t been able to see one another eye to eye since that whole ordeal but I want things to be okay between us again. I want my best friend back, and I want us to at least be on speaking terms.
Teddy: Us friends again?! The man who is perhaps the biggest woman user in the entire wrestling world wants to play friends. To be honest I do miss you man. It feels like it has been a while and I do miss talking about life among other things with you. If you are really serious about working things out with one another I definitely would be game.
Todd nods his head with a smile.
Todd: I am game… Look I am sorry about the past. Let’s just work on a promising future with one another and take things a day at a time right?!
Teddy holds his hand out.
Teddy: Sounds like a plan to me. We can regain what we lost. Friends sounds like a splendid idea. Let’s just be united and take on life together. You noticed I am out here training hard right?! I am tired of being the joke of an entire company. I need to regain what I lost. I need to gain that sense of pride back and wrestling is the only way I can do that. It’s not just about being a provider for my family Todd. It’s about being there for Kate, and it’s about being an image for my daughter. I need to channel all of these things if I am going to go where I eventually want to go.
Todd: So go out there and do it then. Do what you do best and I will be watching all of the way. You know what you need to do so go ahead and do it.
Teddy smiles widely as he focuses back on the track again.
Teddy: That’s exactly what I plan to do. I do believe it’s showtime right?! Time to do what I do best…
With that Teddy focuses on the track again and he begins to run. He runs as fast as he can as he jogs around the track. He throws some punches into the air showing off his shadow boxing skills. He seems to be pumped up as we go elsewhere.
On Camera
Teddy’s Going To Knock You Out
The cameras come into focus and as they do we are treated to the image of Teddy Steele wearing a USA boxing robe. He begins to throw punches into the air as he smiles in return. He dances around as he looks deeply into the lens of the camera and begins to chuckle.
“Ladies and gentlemen introducing to you all, I am the most cuddliest man in ALL of WRASSLIN! I am a life size Teddy Bear come to life which means Angel and Despy you can eat your heart out because I will showcase my life size hugs and affections among everybody on the entire SCW roster. I am Teddy Steele and I AM JUST SO THRILLED to be here… Yes consider that the usual cheesy Face like stuff but that’s who I am, it’s who I have always been, and I can’t wait until the bell rings and I stand into that ring showing the whole world that I can make it right here on the SCW Roster! That’s right you heard me I totally can go the distance. I can totally make it all the way and I truly feel like I am home… Now in addition to be a man about the cuddles and the love, I am also the lyrical one! I am perhaps the best freestyle rapper in this company and I can’t but drop some lyrical goodliness on my opponent…”
Teddy smiles wide as he looks into the camera throwing some shadow punches as he continues to speak.
“It’s your boy Teddy and I feel so happy to be here!
When the bell rings I am going to beat Goth fair and square!
He might underestimate me but I shouldn’t be overlooked!
If you take me lightly I am going to knock you out with a hook!
You might have achieved a lot but I am a legend in the making!
And this path to ascension is all mines for the taking!
Let’s set this straight, As far as bars it’s only going to take eight!
I guess it’s fate that I beat you mate, and I will go home and celebrate with Kate!”
Teddy can’t help but chuckle as he nods his head in agreement as he continues to speak.
“You see that’s a taste of just who I am and what I represent. The fact of the matter is that the both of us seem to be on a collision course with one another. Now you and I will be facing one another at Climax Control, and I know you have every attention of entering into this match with the intention to win. Let’s just be honest here you really haven’t been yourself for a very long time. When I see Goth I think of the man who has a championship pedigree. I think of a man who has been here for a very long time. I think of a man who has basically accomplished everything in this company. A man who was a multiple time World Champion, a man who held the tag titles, the Roulette Championship and of course the Internet Championship! In order words you have basically done everything there is to do in this company. That makes you one of the best of the best, a true main stay athlete in all of this company…”
Teddy begins to clap his hands together as he continues to smile and speak some more.
“That is extremely impressive and I am nowhere near that level. The problem I have with everything that you have going for you and what you accomplished is the fact that you seemed to have lost your way. You just lost to Morgan and you are a ways off from the man that I remember watching. What we call that in the wrestling world is a slump and we all seem to go through them at times. What is your reasoning for being in the position that you are currently in?! How did you find yourself failing so much to now losing matches and facing somebody like me near the bottom of the card? There’s nothing wrong in per say fighting me but a man who has accomplished the things that you have should be doing better things. You should be at the top of the card. You should be fighting the big names, but you are facing me. That seems like a step down for somebody of your caliber…”
Teddy is all smiles however as he runs his hands through his long hair as he continues to speak.
“As far as I go however I am honored to be in such a high profile match with such a legend because this gives me the chance to really ascend up the roster. The last time I was in SCW I just wasn’t committed. I didn’t take things seriously. I was more so here to be here as a wa to keep Kate company and I didn’t want to better myself. I guess the same could be said for my time in Honor and of course in SCU. I just wasn’t serious. I got my ass kicked every single week and nobody ever expected me to win a match. Hell they didn’t even expect me to say anything because I was in SCU since it started and I never really appeared on camera to say anything but to show up get my ass kicked and collect a pay check. That’s all I have been about and I didn’t care about a sense of pride or dedication to this sport. As long as I got a check that’s all that mattered to me but as you can see I am back to the company where I belong. After watching my wife pour out everything she had in the middle of the ring against the likes of Alicia Lukas I just knew I had to show her that if pushed to be serious I could do some big things.”
Teddy forms a serious expression on his face as he nods his head in agreement and continues to speak.
“That is where you come in Goth because I know you are someone that must be taken serious, and because I am booked against some top tier talent I can’t afford to go into this match with a half ass mentality. If I act like that you are going to pick me a part and things aren’t going to go in the way that I had hoped for them to go. That’s why I need this to be at my complete best and my eyes are solely on what you represent and what I can be me. You see my family is everything to me. They are the reason why I wake up in the morning, they are what give me joy and that always wasn’t the case. To be bluntly for the past two years Kate and I were apart. She was doing her own thing and I was out and about drowning myself in the misery. Things eventually worked out for us and we have been pulled together by one another. Since we were pulled together I need to show her I can be the man that she married…”
Teddy takes a deep breath as he continues to speak.
“What that means is I will be her provider and I need to show her I can be such. I need to be there for her and me stepping into that ring is my way of showing her that I won’t back away from things anymore. I am here to stay and I am here to win and be the best man I can possibly be. Goth even though the odds might be in your favor because of the history you have within SCW and everything you accomplished you can’t just count me out. I have dreams and aspirations and I can’t afford to lose sight of any of them just because I have found my way into a match with you. To some it might not mean like much but Christian Underwood picked me out to be in this company. I am one of his favorite recruits and he wanted me in SCW for a reason. I thought it was to promote the Mixed Tag Division but I think it goes far beyond just that because he wanted me before the division was even a thought. He just wanted me to be in this company and I can’t let him down…”
Teddy quickly shakes his head as he clutches his knuckles together.
“More importantly I can’t let myself down. They say first impressions are everything and right now my main thought is to go out to that ring and to take you down. I plan to shock the world and to showcase what the true meaning of an upset is. You might beat me and I am fully okay with that. The reality is I have everything to gain and nothing to lose when I lock up with you. If for some reason I do lose all it really means is that the man who was favored to win handled business, and it’s not like it would hurt me. I would gain experience and people would be talking about me and how I managed to stand toe to toe with you. You see Goth I know what I have to do in this match with you. I am entering that ring with one thought on my mind and that’s to emerge with a victory. So bring everything you have but you will learn that it won’t be enough. I am the real deal… I am Teddy Steele and at Climax Control I am going to knock you out… See you there and hopefully you can keep up with me!”
With that Teddy smiles as he begins to throw some punches into the air and it’s on this image that we slowly fade out on.
