Back In The Saddle
« on: December 07, 2018, 11:52:06 PM »
A warm desert wind blew through the outskirts of Primm, Nevada, sending dust clouds swirling into the early evening sky. The sound of crickets echoed while the moon rising over the horizon sent cool blue light spilling over the scene. Crunching footsteps grew louder as they approached the camera set up, and soon two shadowy figures were seen coming into view. They stopped a few feet away from the camera, but the glint from the belts on their shoulders gave a hint as to who they were. And soon enough, the Irish accent breaking the quiet of the night left no doubts.

Well, here we go again,” Lachlan Kane said, the ever-present smirk gracing his features. Dressed in dark jeans and a white T-shirt with his trusty Vans on his feet, he shifted the title belt higher on his shoulder. Beside him stood his lady love and fellow Mixed Tag Team Champion Sierra Williams, dressed similarly to him with a dark bandana holding back her hair and a fierce scowl across her face. Lachlan chuckled and slid an arm around her waist to pull her into his side, and she looked up at him with a faint smile before turning her glare back to the camera.

I will admit, it was kind of nice having a bit of a break last week,” Lachlan continued. “As much as I love performing in that ring night in and night out, every once in a while I like to just simply be a fan. It reminds me why I got into this business in the first place. Seeing the fire, the passion that the SCW roster has when they step in those ropes...it got me all fired up again. Well, more so than I usually am.

It reminds me that there’s always someone behind you. Always someone nipping at your heels, ready to overtake you. But I’m not planning on slowing down anytime soon, whether it’s in the mixed tag division, or in these singles matches I’ve been put in as of late. One of which I have coming up on Sunday night, it seems.” He rubbed at his chin thoughtfully. “Now, I can’t say I know much about my opponent, as he hasn’t seem to have done much around here besides sign a contract. Hasn’t got a match to his name yet. Well Hader, I hope you don’t think you’ll be making your name at my expense.

He paced a bit on the desert floor, Sierra standing just behind him. “In case you haven’t been keeping up with the news, I am one half of the Mixed Tag Team champions, and that was in our second match in the company. So far, I am three and zip here. And I don’t plan on stopping. It may seem like I’ve got my hands full keeping an eye on this mixed tag division to see who ends up as our number one contenders, rest assured that I’m more than ready for Sunday night. I’ve always been good at multitasking, like I’ve said before. And once I’m done with you, Sierra and I are gonna take our place at ringside and continue to watch these mixed tag matches, to make sure that we know exactly what we’ll be getting into the ring with when we find our who our number one contenders will be.

Lachlan walked back to Sierra and slid his arm around her waist again. “Until Sunday, Mr. Hasheem.” With a little salute, Lachlan and Sierra turned and walked off into the desert landscape as the camera faded out to black.

Sorry this is kinda short. This week was a bitch in my personal life, and I don't even know if my opponent is gonna show.
