Caleb was unsuccessful in his latest bid to win the Roulette Title as he lost 3-2 in an Iron Man Match against Ben Jordan but that didn’t mean that the youngster was out of the title picture yet as he was one of several first round competitors competing in this week’s Gold Rush Tournament Matches, his opposition? Connor Murphy, a man who seemed to come and go from SCW as he pleased who had returned for the Gold Rush Tournament, can Caleb bounce back from his loss to Ben?

We looked up “things to do in Scottsdale, Arizona” on TripAdvisor and this was one of the top picks so yeah, here we are going through Downtown Scottsdale, Arizona, simple.
You know what’s just as simple as that? No, I’m not talking about my fellow wrestlers because that dig is unoriginal and quite frankly too easy, but what I am talking about is wrestling related and if you haven’t guessed what I’m talking about by now you obviously haven’t seen the card for this week’s Climax Control, namely that I pretty much have to win my first round match of the Gold Rush Tournament against Connor Murphy this Sunday.
And I have made the strange choice to base my promo around Murphy’s Law nut more on that later!
You saw what happened last week in my title match against Ben Jordan and how close I came to winning the Roulette Title from him in the Main Event, now I’m not going to pull a Jessie Salco and demand a rematch, unlike her I learn from my mistakes and I learned from that one the hard way at the go home show for Summer XXXTreme two months ago, I’ll just be quietly waiting in the wings for someone to finally dethrone Ben and wait to see what happens from there.
What am I doing instead? Exactly what I said I’d do on the first show of the Arizona tour, focus on rebuilding my stock in SCW and eventually earn my way back into the title picture and hey, if I have to win the Gold Rush Tournament to do it then sure!
I mean, it worked for Dani Weston when she competed in the women’s Gold Rush Tournament, what’s to stop me from pulling the same miracle?
“Oh my god, look at these souvenirs!” Katie practically squealed with delight once she set her sights on some cute looking souvenirs. “I am totally buying this for when we return home from the tour!”
“Katie, I thought we agreed to split the bill once we got too one of the restaurants that Scottsdale is famous for.” I responded as I rolled my eyes and Katie ignored me as she put the souvenir into a practically full bag of the stuff, most of which she had brought from other souvenir shops since we arrived at the Downtown area. “How are you supposed to split the bill if you run out of spending money again?”
“You worry too much, I have plenty of money in my account!” Katie assured me, and I gave her an uneasy look as I remained unconvinced. “If you don’t believe me I’ll happily show you my bank balance on my phone via the app.” Katie added before she went to pay for the stuff that she had just brought, once she had she returned to me and I folded my arms.
“Do you have any idea how much you just sounded like Donald Trump talking about his tax returns?” I commented, and Katie gave me a playful glare. “If you want to show me the bank balance, fine, but do it off camera, unless you want the wrestling world to know how much you have in your bank account.”
“Good point, I’ll do it after your promo.” Katie responded before we walked out of the souvenir shop which, thankfully, was the last one we could visit as Katie checked her phone to see how long it would take us to walk to the nearest restaurant. “Okay, nearest restaurant isn’t that far from here, I would say get a cab, but you did bring up a good point when you pointed out how much I was spending and the restaurant’s so close that it’ll be faster walking there.”
“Sounds like a plan.” I nodded in response before I followed Katie, as we walked along I decided to cut my promo. “Katie, you okay with me getting started on the promo before we reach the restaurant?”
“If you can finish it in five minutes, give or take, I’ll be impressed.” Katie responded with a grin and I nodded indicating that I was accepting the challenge as I got started on my promo.
“Murphy’s Law dictates that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, if you want proof of that just look at my match against Ben Jordan last week on Climax Control, but it can work in my favor and that’s what I’m counting on as I get set to compete in the men’s Gold Rush Tournament in the opening match of the night against, appropriately enough, Connor Murphy! Okay granted I chose to base this promo around Murphy’s Law before I looked it up earlier but now that I have I know that it works perfectly for a promo,”
It’s that simple.
“Connor, you seem to come and go as you please when it comes to SCW, granted that could be said for most of the Gold Rush Tournament competitors competing this week but I’ve been busting my ass week in, week out trying to make my name in this company whilst you haven’t been seen on SCW TV in years, I would ask why that was the case but I don’t care, the only thing that matters in this match is how I’m going to beat you to advance.”
I said before realizing that Katie had gone ahead of me and I ran to catch up with her.
“For me this match is must-win! I said during the first show of the tour that I was going to focus on rebuilding my stock here in SCW and what better way to do that than to win in the first round of the Gold Rush Tournament this Sunday on Climax Control? Spoiler alert, there isn’t, especially if I pull a Dani Weston and go on to win the whole thing despite me being the underdog in all of my matches and this Sunday you’ll learn the hard way that I meant it!
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
“As I said before, I can’t afford to lose this match if I’m going to fulfil my goal of rebuilding my stock here in SCW, it just so happens that Connor Murphy is in my way and this Sunday I will beat Connor and move onto the second round in the meantime Connor you had better brace yourself because as Murphy’s Law States, anything that can go wrong will go wrong especially when there’s a Metal Storm heading your way by the name of “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms!”
I walked off with Katie as the scene fades.
