Caleb was furious after the Six Man Ladder Match for the SCW Roulette Title became a seven man ladder match at the last second due to Jon Dough cashing in his Golden Briefcase contract, not long after the match Jon stated in a seg that he wanted to face Ben Jordan for the SCW Roulette Championship at Into the Void but Caleb was having none of it as the following week on Climax Control he announced his intention to go after the Roulette Championship.
Well it turned out that Caleb didn’t have to wait long for that opportunity as this week in the last Climax Control before Into the Void he was challenging Jon Dough for the Roulette Title in the Main Event which would serve as one of two Roulette Rules matches of the night as Selena Zdunich, Lucy Seraphina, Britany Williams and Nyla Dupree were set to duke it out for the right to challenge Sam Marlowe for the Bombshell Roulette Championship! If Caleb wins then not only will he win his first title in SCW, but he would dramatically change whatever plans the bosses had in place for Into the Void, but can he win?

After an eventful couple of weeks, I needed some time to cool my head and, well, as the old saying goes, there’s no place like home!
I mean yeah, I had to travel out of state for Honor Wrestling’s Turmoil PPV to compete in a Legacy Title Match that was ultimately won by Equinox but aside from that and the recent episodes of Climax Control I haven’t been up to much but that does bring me to the whole reason why I needed to cool my goddamn head in the first place, yeah, you guessed it, it was the ending to my last match in SCW, the one where Jon Dough cashed in his Golden Briefcase.
And don’t get me started on the whole “Jon Dough is really Matt Spears” thing! I’m still wrapping my head around the fact that Lucy Seraphina’s children are already old enough to wrestle!
But yeah, thanks to my little promo last week on Climax Control I now find myself ahead of the pack of the other wrestlers in that ladder match because I now have a title match against Jon Dough, granted since that match Nick Steen and Quintin Cross have left the company reducing the field to four wrestlers in the process (three if Chris Crippler decides to call it a career) and it also doesn’t hurt that Joshua Acquin seems to be more concerned with joining Jessie Salco on her “sabotage her wrestling career in the name of free speech” crusade meaning that, unless Ben Jordan accepts Jon’s challenge, the race is between me and Ty West.
And to think, people thought that he’d get the title shot ahead of me!
“Remember when you thought the closest you’d get to the Roulette Title was when you interfered in what you thought would be the last Roulette Title Match on Climax Control?” Katie asked as she entered my room, I had been playing X-Com 2 on the Gaming PC since I woke up only really taking a break to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. “And three months later, your about to compete in your second Roulette Title Match!”
“Yeah, and this time they’ll be no-one around to fuck up my plans for that title, unless Ben Jordan decides that he deserves the title more than me and interferes.” I responded with a shrug as I exited out of the game and turned to face my girlfriend. “Besides, between Nick and Quintin leaving the company, Chris disappearing all together and Josh being out to sabotage his career the field for Roulette Title challengers has been narrowed to me and Ty West.”
“And considering that Ty has only been in SCW since the reboot its not that surprising that they put you in this match instead of him, even without that seg that aired on Sunday night.” Katie responded with a nod before grinning. “Still, “Caleb Storms, SCW Roulette Champion” has a nice ring too it, no pun intended.”
“It has a better ring to it than “Jon Dough vs. Ben Jordan for the SCW Roulette Championship because Ben threw a tantrum and Jon cashed in a briefcase that belonged to his altar ego”, I don’t agree with everything Jessie said but the old guard needs to go.” I responded, and Katie went to say something. “And by old guard I mean anyone over thirty who’s still an active wrestler and not someone who returned to SCW after the reboot.”
“Good thing you clarified, otherwise I would’ve said something to the effect off “Caleb, you are in the old guard”.” Katie responded, and I grinned before going up to her and kissing my fiancé on the lips. “Anyway, I didn’t just come up here to chat about your SCW career.”
“Let me guess, neighbors have been complaining about me yelling at the computer screen again?” I asked, and Katie laughed. “It’s not my fault that my squad seems to be more interested in shooting down a fly on the wall behind the enemy as opposed to the enemy nine times out of ten!”
“Caleb, I’ve been playing that game on the PS4, trust me, I know!” Katie responded with a reassuring grin before shaking her head. “I came up here to ask what you wanted to do for lunch and to remind you to do your promo.”
“Thanks, I think I’ll have a burger for lunch and I’ll do my trash talk whilst you put that on.” I responded, and Katie nodded before walking off, I followed her down the stairs but went into a different room so that I wouldn’t disturb her whilst I was doing my promo.
“Just flat out asking for title shots isn’t okay but winning a golden briefcase under a different name and then cashing it in under your real name is? I often said that I’ll never understand the logic of the higher ups and it doesn’t matter what jon they work in because they’ll always find some way to piss off the employees! And nowhere was that more evident than when they allowed Jon Dough to cash in the Golden Briefcase he won as Matt Spears and win the Roulette Title whilst everyone else was out cold!”
But I digress.
“However this week I get to right a wrong as I am going to be Jon’s first, and last, challenger for the SCW Roulette Championship this week on Climax Control and with this week’s Climax Control being so close to Into the Void a win here would not only secure my first title reign in SCW but also screw up whatever plans the bosses had regarding the Roulette Title at Into The Void so Chris, Mark, you may as well go ahead and scrap the Ben vs. Jon match that all of three people want to see because I’m about to send those plans flying out the window!”
And that’s not counting the competitors!
“When I watched your seg after you stole the title from me, Nick Steen, Ty West, Chris Crippler, Josh Acquin and Quintin Cross I got a feeling of respect from you towards another veteran, if only you had the same respect to not make me and the other competitors in the match sacrifices worthless! And yes, I said stole because what the bosses should’ve realized was that the Golden Briefcase was won by Matt Spears and not Jon Dough, I know you and Matt are one in the same Jon but that is the kind of loophole that will be closed when they draw up the next Golden Briefcase contract, whenever that may be!”
No loophole can save him this time.
“If I were you Jon, I’d be hoping for a stipulation that works in your favor when the Roulette Wheel is spun because you’ll be dealing with a young, hungry, determined and pissed off competitor by the name of Caleb Storms! You saw what I was capable off in that ladder match and anything that entails a similar match type when we meet up on Sunday will mean the end of your ill-gotten title reign and when I do beat you for the title I will gladly accept your rematch because unlike you, I’m not so afraid of competition that I have to wait until everyone’s down to make my move, mostly because I know that you knew you’d get your ass kicked if you cashed in sooner!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
“I don’t care if you cashed in that briefcase just, so you can have a title match with Ben Jordan whilst leaving the younger competitors in the dust because this Sunday those plans are going to be flushed down the toilet when I win my first title in SCW! Jon, Matt, I don’t care what your name is, in this match they’ll be two men, one title, not three men or four men just two men and you had better brace yourself because there’s a storm brewing, otherwise you’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms, your next SCW Roulette Champion!”
I headed into the kitchen as the scene fades.
