Chapter 1: Water
~Part 1: The tub (#NP:"Warriors" by: Imagine Dragons)~
Athena found herself in the hot tub at her home in Denmark. It was quiet outside and the kids were out with Sam and Mel for the night, giving Athena the run of the place. Athena couldn’t help but to remember what was going on in the future. Oh how she missed her siblings and family dearly but the terminator effect would do otherwise.
Athena: I miss you guys so much…I hope you’re alright and I hope my actions are changing our future for the better.
She signed and a teardrop slid down her face. Athena’s mind then slipped to her fiancé, Jack. Jack was a Magi-Blood just like her.
Athena: I’ll bring you back Jack…I swear!
Athena could feel her anger flair up. She hated all of this, she hated the war, she hated being away, she just started to feel like hating everything. Athena took in a deep breath and tried to calm down.
Athena: I wonder if I can see about something…
Athena stuck a finger into the water and started to swirl it around.
Athena: Hear me now,
Hear me proud,
I call on you to help me see into the future,
Use this water to show me,
Scurry and reveal!
The water started to turn into a picture, Athena couldn’t help but to gasp at the sight of it. More tears came down her face but this time they were happy ones. The world wasn’t black, destroyed as it did when she left. No, it was still dark but it looked much… “healthierâ€.
Killian: Athena?
Killian Lajoie came into the frame.[/o]
Athena: Killian!?
Killian: It’s working! Whatever you’re doing, it’s working! The world is slowly starting to come back to life. Dad is back!
Athena smiled.
Athena: Glad Claude’s alive. Can you tell me who’s still alive?
Killian pulled out his laptop and nodded. Athena watched on and couldn’t believe that this was happening. She thought her idea wasn’t going to work though. To see the red head made her heart sing.
Killian: Alright, so Alexander is still alive and a few of his top generals as well. Athena, be careful. These guys are crazy and, they’re the ones who took out Mom and Dad.
Athena’s face went stone cold.
Athena: Alright…thanks Killian.
~Part 2: The Mirror (#NP: “Back For More†by: Five Finger Death Punch )~
“Well ain’t that a bitch.â€
Whenever anyone hears that from a Magi-Blood’s mouth, you know something big just happened. This time around it was in the same house in London that Mel had found by accident. Rachel, Michelle and Melanie were there now and, they were in front of a mirror in the basement.
Michelle: You did the right thing, Mel. Someone was using this as a conductor.
For those who don’t understand what Michelle meant, water as an element in magick, can be used a conductor. It can be used for water magick, anything to do with scurrying and visions, also for spirits to use as an energy source.
Rachel: Why didn’t I know about this sooner?!
Melanie: Rei, calm down, I’m not even sure. Maybe this is all new?
Michelle: It can’t be, I have to say that this has been here for a few years now.
Both Mel and Rachel looked at the eldest of the siblings.
Rachel: How? Wouldn’t you have been able to sense it?
Michelle: Neptune would have been better for that. I mean she has the mirror.
Melanie: I thought you had Neptune’s mirror.
Michelle: I have basically a copy of it, just with lesser power.
Rachel: But anyways what the hell is this?
Rachel pointed to the mirror.
Michelle: That’s what I’m trying to figure out. I really just get an uneasy feeling, I’m not sure if this place is haunted by bad spirits or if someone corrupted the place or…whatever else. I’m sorry ladies, I’m really trying my best.
Mel: We know Chelle; thank you.
Rachel: I think maybe we should try a spell or at least light a water spell.
Mel: What do you think Chelle?
Michelle: We should try a candle at first; see how it’ll react.
Michelle took out a blue candle and a lighter from her pocket. Michelle focused on the candle, trying to put her energy into it.
Michelle: Water, element of the vision, I ask of thee to asset in my quest. Reveal the past to me!
She lit the candle and a loud rushing of water could be heard, echoing through the basement. Mel and Rachel look around and the room starts to light up and the mirror…the mirror starts to show something in it. The three ladies walk toward it and they could see a little girl in front of it.
Rachel: Who is this?
They saw a small girl, big grey eyes and brown colour hair.
Mel: This…this feels so off.
Mel started to feel a bunch of anxiety, the girl was starting to be very unsettling to her. Her breathing picked up hard and she wanted to run. It just felt like she was staring at herself.
Rachel: Melanie?
Mel didn’t answer her and the little girl’s eyes turn red. Mel stumbled back and fell into the water. Mel’s body didn’t move; she was in shock from all of this.
“Why does she look so familiar to me?â€
Michelle and Rachel pulled Mel up and the blue candle put itself out. The little girl in the mirror vanished and the room returned to being dark.
~Part 3:That blog spot (#NP:“Welcome Home†by: Coheed and Cambria)~
From The Magi-Blood’s blog site, comes a new post by Melanie and Athena.
Melanie: I was struggling to maintain my former success. I failed to retain my once impressive streak of success and it all appeared to go downhill rapidly. It was a shame that it happened in such a matter, where I lost it all at once. It was taken from me immediately, when I had fought so diligently to retain it. The shock of it perhaps caused me to go on a downward spiral but instead, I fought back. I am thankful for that opportunity that inevitably altered the course of my career. now, I stand here as the face of an entire brand and it is precisely what I needed to regain control of my career. However, my first defense is certainly a questionable one but one that I am also prepared for.
Athena: Now, I find myself thrust into tough action against three incredibly deserving athletes. A loss is now very possible as the odds are indeed stacked against me. It is an honor to work alongside them in such a battle. Together, we can produce a show-stealing match. However, just one more can leave with the victory and ultimately, as the Underdog. I am not prepared to be forced into a position where I'm forced to admit that my potentially carrer. I will not accept that it was a failure, when I've had such a rich history.
Melanie: So which women are currently standing in our way?
First, I am met by Jessie Salco, I continue to have no issues with the woman as instead, I have nothing but respect for her. I stated that from the start and nothing has been altered where it pertains to the dynamic between myself and Jessie. She’s one of the best, a woman who many respect and she did everything in her power to make a place for himself there. Nobody can take that away from her and she certainly does deserve his position here a a top dog. Her is, however, still reeling from her losses and the fact that she has a target on her back. Her focus will, unfortunately, lie elsewhere. That is a shame but this is the Jessie Salco we will see this week.
Athena: She will not be the only woman hindered by his emotions as it's clear Amy Marshall will be felled by the same fate. She is a worthy champion, of course and she is impressive in the ring. However, when she steps into the ring, it will all inevitably go wrong - she is an incredibly angry woman. She will no doubt struggle to maintain her cool and her focus will also slip. That anger, of course, will devour her and cause her to sabotage herself. Her rage, her anger - it will all tear her down. It will force failure upon Amy Marshall but she doesn't see it happening quite yet. It's a shame to see a woman ruin his own chances in this way.
Melanie: I am prepared to face whomever you may be. I do pride myself on being able to adapt to any situation I am thrown into. That's a key quality in being a wrestler. It's just one thing that is required to get far. I have remained as successful as I have for many reasons - consistency and adaptability have been two of them and they are instrumental in my success.
Athena: They will be again at Climax Control as I walk away with the victory of a lifetime. I will, of course, give all of my opponents credit. From the very respectable Jessie Salco to the frustrating but also deserving Amy Marshal. I accept any challenge with open arms and I embrace the prospect of genuinely being confronted by tough opposition. This is what is needed to succeed in this industry and it is something I have been able to implement from the start.
Melanie: Climax Control is an event that is synonymous with career-defining matches that can catapult an athlete to the next level of their career. I am incredibly proud of where I am right now and I do not expect my status as champion to be altered following this event. I appreciate the challenge and the chance to say that I will be leaving one hell of a match upon defeating three of the best. However, when all is said and done, The Clan will do precisely what is expected of them - and that is to retain against the odds once more thanks to his sheer dominance in the face of adversity.
