Whilst her attempts to become a four time Roulette Champion were unsuccessful Jessie Salco did not let that deter her as the following week on Climax Control she announced her intention to pick up from where she left off just before the series with Amy Marshall started by fighting her way up the card and winning the World Bombshell Championship becoming the latest Grand Slam Champion in the process, Jessie likely expected her shot, if she did get one, to happen at the next Supercard but the champion had other plans.

After Jessie’s segment aired on Climax Control Evie went straight to the bosses and demanded that she face Jessie next week on Climax Control with the World Bombshell Title on the line, a match that was subsequently booked and made that week’s Main Event, Evie had pledged to be a fighting champion following her successful defense against Jessie’s Metal and Punk Connection teammate Amy Marshall but can Jessie do what Amy couldn’t and dethrone Evie?

Well, that was right out of left field!

When I made my intentions regarding the World Bombshell Championship known I thought that the bosses would make me wait like they did when I campaigned for a one on one shot against Crystal Millar last year so to say that I was surprised to find out that not only was I challenging Evie Baang for the title in the Main Event of this week’s Climax Control but Evie went to the bosses and demanded that they made the match is a big understatement to say the least.

But that doesn’t mean I’m not going to let this opportunity slip me by!

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve proven that I belong in the World Bombshell Title scene three times over, first at the Chamber of Fate match at last year’s Summer XXXTreme, then when I challenged Crystal Millar for the title at High Stakes VI and the last time I challenged for the title which was at the first Supercard of the year Inception II, since then? I was a little busy with the Roulette Title scene starting with the Best of Three Series with Amy but once that was done I entered the Blast from the Past Tournament so that I could get another shot at the title.

The fact that I’m facing the woman who not only won that tournament but went on to beat Crystal for the title at Summer XXXTreme V should tell you everything you need to know about how well my attempt went.

In a way, it’s kinda appropriate that we ended up meeting up again under these circumstances because it was Evie and Lord Raab that knocked out my team from the tournament but I learn from my mistakes and I’m not about to repeat them.

Hey, speaking of history, want to know what my reaction to this match was?

*flashback*

It had been a few hours since my seg at last night’s Climax Control aired and I was in the cafeteria with Amy waiting for Kate to join us after getting her leg checked out by the medical staff following her match against Crystal Millar earlier in the night, what were we doing in the mean time?

“So, from what I heard, next week’s Climax Control is emanating from Stateline, Nevada.” I commented before taking a sip from my drink. “I did a quick google search looking for things to do in that area and it’s practically a ghost town as far as decent nightlife is concerned.”

“It can’t be that bad, right?” Amy asked and I shook my head.

“Only decent nightclub I could find on Trip Advisor was Hard Rock Café and there’s two of those.” I responded and Amy shook her head with a chuckle. “One has a casino attached, the other doesn’t.”

“Okay, yeah, that’s pretty bad.” Amy nodded in agreement before grinning. “So, the plan’s still to go there tomorrow night?”

“We may as well, it has been a tradition to celebrate our wins with a night out and we’ll get some good food out of it.” I added before spotting Kate approaching us and I pulled out a chair for her. “Hey Kate, how’s your leg?”

“Fortunately, Crystal didn’t do any serious damage and I only twisted my ankle on that landing.” Kate responded with a shrug as she sat down. “Granted it sucked doing that in the middle of a match but even so! My first match of the series ended in me winning and crossing Crystal’s name off the list and that’s what matters.”

“No argument there.” I nodded in agreement before frowning. “What are your thoughts on Hard Rock Café?”

“Decent place to get food but crap for the nightlife.” Kate responded with a shrug. “Why do you ask?”

“Next week’s Climax Control is apparently emanating from a place called Stateline, Nevada.” Amy responded as she leaned back. “Jessie couldn’t find any metal clubs in the area but she did find two Hard Rock Cafes, one’s got a casino attached and the other doesn’t.”

“Better than nothing I guess.” Kate responded with a shrug before she spotted a stage hand approaching us. “Speaking off next week’s Climax Control.” Kate added as he handed us the card.

“They’ve probably booked me against one of the Mean Girls, no big deal, I know I can beat them.” I shrugged my shoulders in response before reading over the card. “Okay, Amy’s facing that new Hawaiian Bombshell that beat Bobbie last week.”

“Trinity Jones?” Amy asked and I nodded in response. “No big deal, I can handle her.”

“Speaking of Bobbie, she’s taking on Mercedes, that should be fun to watch.” I commented as I read through the card, it looked like a stacked card with Sam’s non-title Roulette Rules Match against Polly Playtime being a potential show stealer but I couldn’t see my name anywhere on the card, that is until I saw the Main Event. “Holy shit!”

“Your challenging Evie for the title?!” Amy asked with a look of surprise on her face as she looked at my match. “You realize what that means if you win right? Other than avenging my loss against her last week?”

“Hell, yeah I do!” I responded with a big grin on my face. “I’ll finally do what I should’ve done last year and become a grand slam champion!”

“In that case, are you sure you want to go to the Hard Rock Café?” Kate asked and I nodded in response. “It’s a World Bombshell title match and you’re going to need to be in tip top condition!”

“I’m going to be training for the match for most of next week but there’s nothing wrong with a good meal out, right?” I asked and Kate found my argument hard to argue against. “Speaking off, are you coming with us to the Hard Rock Café tomorrow night? I’m thinking I’ll get there for 5:30 at the latest.”

“5:30 sounds good, gives us a chance to grab a bite to eat whilst we’re at it.” Amy responded and Kate nodded in agreement. “So, here’s to Jessie joining me in the grand slam champ club!” Amy added as she raised her drink for a toast and we accepted the toast.

*present day*

I ended up getting there a bit earlier than expected because traffic wasn’t as bad as I was expecting it to be and for the same reason Amy and Kate arrived at the café not long after I did, once I saw them I waved them over to the booth I was occupying and they walked over.

“Hey guys.” I greeted them as they sat down next to me. “I haven’t ordered anything yet because I was waiting for you guys to arrive but I pretty much know what I’m ordering.”

“Sounds like a plan.” Amy nodded in response as I handed them a menu each and they opened them up. “Jake and Shane couldn’t make it?”

“Half of Jake’s YouTube channel’s content got taken down by copyright bots and he wanted to focus on getting that shit sorted out.” I responded before taking a sip from my drink. “Shane’s had a grudge against Hard Rock Café ever since one back in Florida gave him a really bad case of food poisoning, his words not mine.”

“How bad are we talking?” Kate asked with a curious look on her face.

“He told me that he was bedridden for a week, that should tell you everything.” I responded and my partners in crime winced before looking at their menus nervously. “Don’t worry, I asked the wait staff and this branch has never had any problems with causing food poisoning.”

“That’s a relief, let’s just hope that we’re not the first!” Amy said with a nervous grin before turning to me. “So, what are you having?”

“Well, since I’m going to be eating light for the rest of the week because of the title match I decided to treat myself.” I said before pointing to one of the menu items listed under entrees. “I’m having the Cowboy Rib-Eye with a shrimp skewer.”

“Watch yourself Jess, you may end up as big as Bobbie Dahl before you know it!” Kate joked and we laughed in response. “I’m just going to get an original legendary burger, what about you Amy?”

“I’ll get a burger as well, I’m thinking the Hickory Barbeque Bacon Cheeseburger.” Amy responded before making up her mind and putting her menu in the middle of the table and we did likewise so that our waitress could collect our menus. “Whilst we’re talking about food, you guys up for chipping in on the bill?”

“Sounds good to me, I also have to worry about Bloodstock next week and I’m going to need all the money I can get for air travel alone.” I responded as I took a sip from my drink, in truth I didn’t have anything to worry about in that department because me, Jake and Shane had enough money to cover the air travel fee but I was just being cautious, speaking of which. “As for what happens if I do win the title, Jake did order a safe during the week off after Summer XXXTreme and that arrived the following Friday so the plan is to stick it in there for the weekend.”

“And if anyone breaks in whilst your away?” Kate asked and I shook my head.

“The only ones who know the combo are me and the boys and we haven’t gotten it written down anywhere in the house.” I responded before the waitress came over to take our orders, once she got our orders (and I specified that I wanted my Steak medium rare she walked off to take it to the kitchen. “And we’ve got it alarmed in case they try blowing off the locks so the police will be there before they can get out of the driveway.”

“Sounds like you’ve got everything covered.” Amy responded as she took a sip and I grinned in response. “Except the possibility of you losing the match.”

“That’s not gonna happen.” I responded with a grin before checking the time. “I’m going to head outside and do my promo before things get too noisy here, give me a shout if the food arrives before I’m finished.”

“Will do.” Amy nodded in response as did Kate before Kate stepped out of the booth to make my journey out of it that much easier, I headed out into the parking lot since there wasn’t anyone else around as far as I could see so I could get started on my promo.

“Well, this was an unexpected turn of events.” I commented as I folded my arms. “When I finished my promo, I figured that I wouldn’t get a title shot of any kind until the next Supercard and yet here I am getting ready to challenge Evie Baang for the SCW World Bombshell Championship as the main event of this week’s Climax Control just two weeks after my partner Amy’s failed attempt at taking the title from you, so what’s going to be different this time?”

I said before grinning.

“Perseverance and a hunger to be the next Grand Slam Champion, you don’t understand how long I’ve been wanting a chance to hold the World Bombshell Championship but this is something I’ve wanted for over a year now and after three unsuccessful attempts at winning the title I think I’m well overdue for a reign as World Bombshell Champion no matter how short said reign ends up being! I know you won’t give up the title that easily because if you were I’d be facing Amy for the title instead but I also know that there’s no way I’m not walking out of this town the new Bombshell Champion!”

It’s that simple.

“You know, it’s kinda funny now that I think about it because every time we’ve met in a match the World Bombshell Title has been involved in one way or another, the first time was when I as building myself up towards my one on one shot against Crystal Millar at last year’s High Stakes VI Supercard and the second time? Was during the Blast from the Past Tournament that you went on to win but as the old saying goes, third times the charm only this time you have a lot more to lose than just your pride because that’ll mean that your reign will be over after two defenses, something I know you can’t afford to have this early in your career but at the same time, I don’t care!”

What don’t I care about?

“I don’t care about your dreams of being the longest reigning World Bombshell Champion, I don’t care how many yearend awards you already see yourself winning at the end of the year and more importantly I don’t care what you have to say about me when your promo will air at some point this week because I’ve learned to not let what other Bombshells have to say about me when I’m facing them, when it comes to bitter and potentially crippled ex-bombshells who want you to put me in my place it’s a different matter but far as I’m concerned the only way you can put me in my place is if you throw the match!”

But I know that’s not going to happen.

“I know you have too much pride to even think about doing that Evie and to be honest, I’m relieved, I don’t want an easy match for my first World Bombshell Title Reign, instead I want a real challenge just so I can prove to my haters that I’ve earned everything that’s coming to me after I join the ranks of the Grand Slam Champions in SCW, you may claim to be a fighting champion but how true is that really? There’s only one way to find out and we both know what I’m talking about!

Here’s a hint, it’s this week’s main event!

“I don’t know what your motivation for demanding this title match Evie but after I take the title from you you’ll wish that you had waited until the next Supercard because at least then you’d have had a few more weeks with the title but because you wanted to be impatient and get my challenge out of the way you had to demand a title match against me as soon as my segment from last night’s Climax Control aired, I’m not sure whether it’s pride or stupidity on your part to put the title on the line just two weeks after your last title match at your request but I’m going to make sure that you regret ever making that request this Sunday when I take the title from you!”

And it’ll be awesome!

“I know we’ll put on an awesome match worthy of the Main Event Evie but as I said, I have to wonder if your pride will end up being your fatal flaw once the bell rings on Sunday Night and even if you do beat me I’ll find myself back in the World Bombshell Title Picture sooner or later and as much as I realize that I’m opening myself up to a shit load of Mean Girls jokes by comparing myself to an insect I’m like a cockroach, you think you’ve stomped me out of the World Bombshell Title picture but sooner or later I will find myself back in the title picture ready, willing and able to take the title and become the newest Grand Slam Champion!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up, mostly because I was getting hungry.

“I wasn’t sure what to think at first when I saw the match on the card other than “holy fucking shit!” but now that the surprise has worn off I’m more than ready to finish what I started last year at Summer XXXTreme IV by winning the World Bombshell Championship from you this Sunday at Climax Control, Evie you’ve pledged that as champion you’re going to give the division the kick up the ass it needs by being a fighting champion in something that almost sounds like a political add but like all politicians, your full of hot air and shit! This is the “Heavy Metal Angel” Jessie Salco signing off, Evie, this title match may have come out of nowhere but so will my title victory over you!”

I heard Amy calling for me and I returned to the café as the scene fades.
