 Against all odds, the team of Jessie Salco and Nicolas Blair defeated the team of Brother Grimm and Misty after Nicolas made Grimm submit to his Welcome to Hell finisher putting the unlikely tandem through to the Semi-Finals of this year’s Blast from the Past Tournament alongside the team of Ben Jordan and Sam Marlowe who would beat Jessie’s partner in the Metal and Punk Connection Amy Marshall and Dax Backett of the Bad Boys later that night thus setting the semi-finals in stone.

Mark Ward wasted no time in announcing the matches for the semi-finals either, Ben and Sam where taking on Max Burke and Mercedes Vargas but before that match there was a clash of the unlikely pairings as Jessie and Nicolas were set to do battle with the reigning Internet Champion Lord Raab and one half of the SCW Bombshell Tag Team Champions Evie Baang, none of the titles held by Jessie, Evie or Raab were on the line in this match but this was a big match since the winners would go on to Blast from the Past Finals at Into the Void but can Jessie win?

Yeah, I guess I have something of an elephant in the room to address.

Way back at the start of this year’s Blast from the Past Tournament my first promo for the tournament took place during the Boston Whale Watching Cruise instead of anywhere in Detroit, well there is a good reason why we visited this city three weeks early, basically we got on a separate plane than the other SCW wrestlers because we slept in and didn’t realize until Christian called me on my number wondering why we hadn’t shown up at the hotel yet and then the plane ended up having a layover in Boston which lasted twenty four hours.

Luckily for us SCW already had a camera crew in the city shooting promo work for this week’s event and I could do my promo during the layover, as for why I didn’t mention it until now, well, it never came up.

Speaking of the Blast from the Past Tournament, going into this year’s tournament I would’ve been happy just to make it past round one due to my shitty luck in the previous two tournaments and yet, here I am, in the Semi-Finals getting ready for a match that features two other champions in Lord Raab and Evie Baang, I don’t think I need to point out that this match has huge ramifications as the winning team will move onto the finals at Into the Void in three weeks’ time and that’s not getting into the fact that Evie could lobby for a Roulette Title Shot if she pins me to win the match.

Then again, the same can be said for Nicolas if he pins Lord Raab in the match so I guess that make things somewhat even, not that it matters because we have a slot in the finals with our names on it!

I’ll go into more detail about this later but for now I have one thing on my mind and that’s training for the match hence why we’re at the park, we’ve been out jogging for a couple of hours now and since my copy of Outlast 2 is bugged to the point where it’s basically unplayable I needed something to kill time as well so here we are, killing two birds with one stone.

Not literally off course, I’m sure some of the locals would complain about us killing birds.

“Okay, so I think it’s time we stopped for a rest.” Jake commented as we stopped near a bench that was overlooking a pond, I nodded in agreement for sitting down on the bench. “Do you want the Roulette Title yet? It’s still in my bag.”

“I thought I made it clear that I would only get that out for the trash talk segments?” I asked before motioning for him to hand it over. “That said, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have it handy encase I forget to ask you for it.”

“Figured you’d say that.” Jake nodded before handing it over. “I’m still surprised that your carrying that thing with you everywhere, you realize it would be perfectly safe back at the hotel, right?”

“I’d rather not risk someone breaking in and stealing it.” I responded with a shrug as I set down my title. “Besides, my next Blast from the Past Match features me and two other champions in Lord Raab and Evie Baang or as I like to call them “Team Too Many As” so I will need the title to drive that point home.”

“Yeah but none of the three titles are on the line.” Shane pointed out as I turned to him. “Granted I’m not sure how the Bombshell Tag Team Titles would be defended in this match but aside from that they could’ve easily put your Roulette Title or Raab’s Internet Championship on the line yet they didn’t.”

“I think that’s because they already did that.” Jake chimed in as he leaned against a nearby tree. “You defended the Roulette Title in your first Blast from the Past Match and Raab’s match was for the Internet Championship because Despayre had to take time off due to injuries, I don’t think they’ll do that again even though it’s guaranteed that at least one champion will be in the finals at Into the Void.”

“And I want to make sure that I’m that champion.” I responded with a grin before thinking about something. “Come to think of it, what will they do about the Roulette Title if I do win this match? It was announced that Veronica was the Number One Contender but that was before I made it past the first round, let alone the second.”

“Worst case scenario? They’ll make you compete in two matches on the same night, they did that to Goth at the last December 2 Dismember Show after all.” Jake pointed out and I frowned at that idea, I did say that I wanted to be a fighting champion but even that would be too much. “As for the best case, I can think of two scenarios, either you defend the title in the finals or Veronica gets a shot at the first Climax Control Post Into the Void.”

“I may be a fighting champion but I definitely prefer the sound of the latter two options.” I responded with a frown before digging into my pocket and producing my IPhone so that I could check the time. “Okay, it’s almost lunch time and the restaurants we visited during the layover aren’t anywhere near here, any ideas?”

“I think I saw a café near the park but other than that? There aren’t any places nearby that I can see.” Shane responded with a nod before checking the time for himself. “Do you want to catch up with us after you do your promo?”

“Yeah, sure, the café might be a bit too noisy for that at this time of day anyway.” I responded as I put my phone back in my pocket. “You want to arrange a meeting place?”

“If it’s the place I think it is then the park entrance should be fine.” Jake responded and I nodded in response before they walked off, now that I was alone I decided to do my promo but not before hoisting the title over my shoulder.

“They said that my win over Amy was a fluke and that I wouldn’t be able to beat her again at Blaze of Glory, they said that I would crash out in the first round of the Blast from the Past Tournament losing the Roulette Title to Chelsea Payne in the process, they said that my encounter with Misty at last week’s Climax Control would end the same way as my previous three encounters and that we’d be eliminated.” I said before shaking my head. “They don’t seem to be big fans of me and Nicolas, don’t they? And yet here I am, still Bombshell Roulette Champion and through to the Blast from the Past Semi-Finals, I don’t know who they are but with such shitty luck at predictions, I’d stay clear of any casinos if I where them!”

But I digress.

“Going into this year’s tournament I would’ve been happy just to make it past round one for the first time since 2013, never mind the Semi-Finals, but as I said me and Nicolas are officially semi-finalists in this year’s Blast from the Past Tournament and if you think that I’m just going to settle for fourth place, think again! My goal when I entered this tournament was to get another World Bombshell Title Shot and I’m just two matches away from achieving that goal, all we need to do now is beat Lord Raab and Evie Baang and we’ll be all set!”

I’d be lying if it was that easy.

“And if it was that easy another team would’ve beaten Raab and Evie by now but nope! Not only are they my next obstacle on my road to the top but they are fellow champions in their own right with Lord Raab holding the Internet Championship and Evia Baang holding one half of the Bombshell Tag Team Titles, no matter who wins this match it’s guaranteed that they’ll be at least one champion in this year’s Blast from the Past Finals and I’m going to make sure that I’m that champion!”

And I’m starting with Raab.

“Frankly Raab, I’m surprised that they let you enter the tournament after you nearly attacked Sam Marlowe after she eliminated your team from last year’s tournament, not to mention the fact that Sam is also a semi-finalist in this year’s tournament, and yet here you are in the Semi-Finals but this is as far as your team’s going to go, you’re a great wrestler and all but Nicolas is going to run circles around you like he ran circles around Xander Bishop and Brother Grimm in my team’s previous Blast from the Past Matches.”

It’s that simple.

“It seems that my opponents in this tournament don’t seem to realize how badly they underestimate Nicolas going into our tournament matches and I’m sure you’ll do the same Raab, I don’t know why considering that Nicolas was a pain in Mark Ward’s ass for many years but I guess you’ll have to learn the hard way Raab that underestimating Nicolas is a big mistake! Xander made that same mistake and Nicolas potentially ended his career, I doubt he’ll do the same to you but you never know, either way I hope you enjoy watching us win the finals!”

Next up is Evie.

“So, I’ve gone from a Bombshell I’ve never faced before, to a Bombshell who I’ve had plenty of history with, good and bad, and now I’m back to a Bombshell who I’ve never faced before and regardless of who wins the match between Max and Mercedes and Ben and Sam I’ll be back to fighting a Bombshell I’ve never faced before at Into the Void, funny how things work huh? Anyway, Evie I know you have your eyes set on the finals but I have bad news for you, we're going to the finals with a bang!”

And if there was anyone else around I’m sure that I’d be getting booed for that pun.

“Yeah, I know, that pun was terrible but back to the point, Evie, I’ve watched you wrestle and I know you’re a good wrestler, you’d have to be to keep up with Odette Stevens in the ring, take it from me, but this match is going to come down to who wants the spot in the finals more and not only have I been trying to win the tournament since its inception and I’m one title reign away from joining the ranks of the Bombshells who are the Grand Slam Champions and as much as I’ve enjoyed my Roulette Title reign I still have my sights set at the top of the mountain regardless of who’s the champion but then and I’m not about to let you stop me from achieving that goal!”

And with that I decided to wrap things up.

“I entered this tournament with two goals in mind, make it past round one of the tournament and win the tournament and I’ve already achieved one of those goals! After this week, I’ll be one step closer to winning something that I’ve been trying to win since the tournament was created and I’ll be damned if Evie Baang and Lord Raab stop me at the Semi-Finals, this is the Heavy Metal Angel Jessie Salco signing off, Evie, Raab, our teams have one thing in common in that we’ve both made it further than anyone thought we would but your time in the tournament will end this Sunday!”

I got and walked off with the Roulette Title as scene fades.
