Steve’s attempt to win the Internet Championship at Summer XXXTreme ultimately failed as he was pinned in the Triple Threat, in the following weeks Steve campaigned for a one on one match against Rage for the Internet Championship alleging that he would be champion if Kain had been left out of the match entirely but not only has Rage refused to acknowledge the challenge and go on to successfully defend the Internet Championship that also featured Kain but Mark refused to book the match indicating that he had other plans for Steve and telling him to call him.
Steve never called Mark for unknown reasons but what those plans were quickly became apparent as Steve found himself booked in one of the qualifying matches in the World Title Tournament, his opponents? Former NXT Team Mate and Nobodies member Connor Murphy and impressive newcomer Samuel Devereux of The Angel Clan who looked to match the success of the female members of the clan, with the Internet Championship in the back of his mind can Steve win this match and move on to face Dmitri?

Yeah, I’m not kidding about this, I’m doing a Pokehunt for my promo! Yes, Cyrus, Andreas and Kaylee got me hooked and since it takes my mind off the divorce proceedings (which had to be delayed again due to the Canadian tour, Charlotte didn’t object this time since I still need to make money) and gives me some exercise who am I to complain.
Well, except when it causes me to forget about certain important phone calls to Mark but fuck that! I have unfinished business to settle.
And I know what you’re thinking, you had your shot, let it go, you want my response? Go fuck yourself with a hot poker! The match at Summer XXXTreme was supposed to be my shot against Rage one on one but no, they had to go and add Kain to the match for no fucking reason, I mean hell I beat that idiot in his return match so he has even less claim to a shot than I do yet the morons in charge gave him two shots against Rage in a row whilst letting me sit pretty at home!
Did I get to fuck Kaylee a shot? Oh hell yes and we watched some of her movies as well but that’s not the point.
Besides, I know you want me to talk about the match between me, Connor Murphy and Samuel Devereux to determine who faces Dmitri for the right to challenge J2H for the World Heavyweight Championship AKA one of two titles that I never won in the GWA because the GWA closed before I could reach that height and trust me, I’ve been planning to go after the World Title for a while now but I wanted to win the Internet Championship first so that I could go for the Grand Slam!
And if the bosses had the common sense to not put that idiot known as Kain in the Internet Title Match we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now because I’d be the Internet Champ! As for Connor and Sam, well I can’t help but find it amusing how Connor is taking on the stablemate of the woman he teamed up with for the Blast from the Past Tournament earlier this year but ultimately it doesn’t matter who wins or loses because either way I’ll emerge as the true winner.
How? I win, I kick Dmitri’s ass next week (I’m assuming) and move on to face J2H for the title, that much is obvious, I lose? I stick to my original plan and do what I should’ve done at Summer XXXTreme by beating Rage for the Internet Championship, either at Violent Conduct III or a future Climax Control I don’t care, there’s gold in my future!
“So, you guys find anything good?” I asked as we walked around the park, our Pokehunt had taken us to this park and we had found some good Pokemon, nothing that rare but it gave us some progress towards our evolutions.
“Some good Pokemon but other than that? Not a lot.” Cyrus shrugged his shoulders as Andreas and Kaylee continued to play the game, Kaylee did take the occasional break so that she could sign an autograph for the occasional fan who was also out Pokehunting and recognized her from her acting work but other than that she hadn’t had that much distraction since we got here. “I’m really close to hatching one of my 10k Eggs so I’ll probably get something from that, either that or I get another Eevee or an Onix.”
“Not the first time I’ve handled a rock hard snake and some balls.” Kaylee commented off-handedly and I was glad that I wasn’t drinking anything at that time otherwise I’d have a soaked IPhone. “Anyway, I found some Magikarp over by that river over there but I need a lot more if I want to evolve one into Gyarados.”
“I know that feeling, even if I hatch one from a 2K egg Steve’s kids will be old enough to train to be wrestlers by the time I evolve it.” Andreas nodded in agreement before noticing the uncomfortable look on my face. “Steve, I know this is a hard time……...”
“How would you know? You don’t have an ex-wife who’s threatening to not let you see your kids because of your current girlfriend’s job!” I snapped at him and any other time snapping at my significantly bigger bodyguard would’ve been a terrible idea but under the current circumstances? Yeah there’s no way of getting around it. “Hell, you haven’t gotten around to popping the question to your girlfriend yet!”
“Trust me, that’s my eventual plan, I just want to make sure that I am financially stable first.” Andreas responded as he glanced up at me and you could cut the tension with a knife. “I’m sorry for bringing up your kids at a time like this but you need to stop treating it like a taboo subject before the trial’s over, especially if the judge agrees with Charlotte!”
“And he won’t, thanks to all the evidence I’ve compiled detailing how responsible I am around kids and that I’m STD free.” Kaylee chimed in as we started to calm down. “Hey Andreas, want to go search the river for more Magikarp?” Kaylee asked hoping to avoid another argument.
“Not like I’m having that much success otherwise.” Andreas commented begrudgingly as he looked at his screen. “Didn’t you say that you were close to hatching a 10k egg Cyrus? How close are you exactly?”
“If I wanted to I could cover the distance just by walking back to the carpark and hatch it by the half-way point.” Cyrus commented as he checked on his egg. “Oh what the hell? I’ll join you guys! Coming Steve?”
“Only when I’m sleeping with Kaylee!” I joked and the others laughed. “Seriously though, I have a promo to do so I’ll join you in a few minutes.”
“Sounds good, I’ll let you know what Pokemon my egg hatches.” Cyrus responded before following Kaylee and Andreas to the river, I walked over to some nearby benches and sat down before pocketing my IPhone and getting started.
“When a Bombshell who’s been wrestling for eight years wants a title shot she gets a chance to earn it in a match with a hypocritical Bombshell who shouldn’t have won the damn match, when I want a title shot against Rage so that I can settle the differences once and for all whilst winning a title in the process I get denied and told to call the same boss who made the idiotic call to not only add Kain to a match that he had no business being in but give him two shots in a row whilst not booking me in a match, are you fucking surprised that I never made that call?”
Seriously, you could see from Space how big the match between me and Rage would’ve been!
“And what do I get for my troubles? A match against Samuel Devereux and Connor Murphy where the winner will go on to challenge Dmitri for the chance to challenge J2H in the near future! Now I’m not saying that I’m ungrateful for the chance at the World Championship, in fact I’ve been planning to go after it for a while but there’s a big difference between how I want to do it and how Mark wants me to do it! I want to win the Internet Championship first so that when I am the one to dethrone J2H I leave whatever arena I win that title in not only as World Heavyweight Champion BUT as the latest, and greatest, Grand Slam Champion! I’ll still do my trash talk but I’m not happy about this situation!”
First up is Connor.
“Connor, off course I’m starting with a former NXT teammate and one of the worst teammates I’ve ever had the displeasure of teaming up with! How Tim and the other Nobodies put up with your bullshit for as long as they did is beyond me and we both know how much I hate that spoiled brat who manages to make J2H look humble by comparison! And yeah, I can tell that you are going to make “pot calling the kettle black” jokes when you tape your promos but you know who doesn’t give a shit? You’re looking at him!”
It’s that simple!
“This week I’ll kick you so hard that your emo hair will be sent flying into space followed closely by the head of my next opponent! But I’ll get to the only male member of The Angel Clan very shortly because I have more shit to talk to you about first! Connor, you had your chance against J2H alongside TNA a few months back and you failed, what makes you think you deserve another shot? You don’t and before you make another pot calling the kettle black joke I’ll simply point out that I’m better than you in every way and I’ll prove it when I beat you!”
Next up is Sam!
“I almost forgot about Samuel Devereux because I was so busy concentrating on the established superstar but Sam, let’s be honest, you don’t belong in this match! You have as much business being in this match as Kain did in the Triple Threat Match at Summer XXXTreme that should’ve been a one on one match between me and Rage and I know what you’re about to say, the other members of the Angel Clan have had great success, two problems with that!”
And they are big problems.
“Number one, they are established superstars, obviously Uriella is to a lesser extent as she joined not long after Melanie Gabrielle went on maternity leave but still! And that leads me to my other point, they are Bombshells and I don’t need to be a woman to be able to tell that the competition over there is even fiercer than the competition in the male division, not counting the Bombshell Internet Scene obviously, can you match Lucy, Melanie and Uri’s successes over there? I don’t think so and I’ll prove it in this match!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
“Only two things in wrestling are certain, the three count and me winning titles, like I said, I have my own path to the top planned out but if I have to beat Connor and Sam to speed up my ascent to the top of the food chain then I will and trust me guys, this won’t take long! This message has been paid for and delivered by “The Fearless Champ” Steve Ramone, the champion the fans deserve!”
I went off to join the others as the scene fades.
