Dawn of the Age of Dominance
« on: November 30, 2012, 11:18:10 AM »
(I had hoped to code this and make it pretty, but my lovely baby made it tricky...but here it is.)

April, 28th 2012 “The Big Show”

Tribal chanting fills the area at Premier Wrestlings first major event. A group of six tonga natives in war garb are chanting at full volume and then the large warrior Ata Tupoi burst through making his way to the ring with determination. A voice over begins as we watch Ata dominate his opponent.

Ata Tupoi: That was my moment of glory. When I started that match the crowd did not cheer, they just witnessed me in silence....

We watch as Tupoi delivers a mighty kick to the head of his opponent knocking him off his feet. Then Ata walks over to his stunned opponent, lifting him up with ease and tossing him into the corner. After a brutal elbow strike he lifts the man up on the top rope getting him on his shoulder...setting up for The Burning Gata.

Ata Tupoi: That night was going to be the start of something special. I was a titan and for one night at least, the world knew it. But things didn’t go as planned.

We watch as Duke slams his opponent down on the canvas with earth shattering force. The ref starts the three count but the camera starts to fade to black before it gets a chance to reach three....when we fade back we see Duke now. He wears black military style pants and a black a-shirt. The footage from Big Show shows a young man smiling as he gets to showcase his abilities in the ring, but things have changed. He looks older and his smile has faded. He looks at the camera, his body language suggest he might strike at any moment.

Ata Tupoi: First Premier Wrestling closes before I even get a second televised match. Then I spent months working the same crappy promotions I started at. My momentum was stopped before it ever started.

The anger on his face is visible, yet he does not move. He continues to just glare as his rant continues.

Ata Tupoi: Then Atlantic Championship Wrestling picks me up and right away I have a chance at the title. All those wasted months were going to pay off. Then they give me a match with a girl who cheats her way into a victory. After that things just got worse and I had to get away.

He still does not move but the anger seems to build. His body nearly vibrates with anger as his glaring face turns into nearly a snarl. His human features seem to almost shift into something animalistic.

Ata Tupoi: THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN MY YEAR! I put in the time and effort. I lowered myself to working shit promotions to get my name out. Look at me....I am one of the strongest, fastest fighters in the world. I am at my prime and it is being wasted...wasted by the decision of a few stupid people in power. You watch that footage again and tell me I don’t have glory coming to me. I suffered these hardships with a smile, but I am done smiling. I am done playing nice. I am not a gentle savage...I am descended from WARRIOR KINGS and I tell you...no...I PROMISE YOU...I will take my momentum back.

The camera fades to a clip from last week’s Climax Control. It shows Ata’s beat down of Casey Williams. It shows how quickly he brings the big man down and how it took a team of security to keep him back.

Ata Tupoi: This is how I should have started things. No theatrics and no rules. Just showing the world what I am...a warrior that can not be stopped. I spent years trying to convince the sporting world that I was not a savage...but why do that. I am a savage.

The next clip is from ACW Live that same week. Ata Tupoi is destroying John Doe much like he did Casey Williams. The beating seems even more brutal because John is not so large. He picks the smaller man up and slams him through the merchandise table with the Burning Gata.

Ata Tupoi: This is what a savage with warriors blood can do. In one night I took out three fighters and rewrote the programming up in Canada. A week ago Casey Williams didn’t even know who I was. This is the future for this sport. I am going to strike hard and without mercy. If guys like Mark Ward give me a target I will gladly take it and if I don’t have a victim lined up then I will make one.

The camera returns to “Duke” Ata Tupoi but more lights start to turn on and we find that he is in the center of the six sided ring. The arena is empty except for him and he stands like a titan in the ring, much like Casey Williams does when he is not flat on his back.

Ata Tupoi: I want to make things clear. I don’t care about Casey Williams, I don’t know Casey. This is also not about money. They don’t call me Duke for nothing, I am island royalty and I have money to burn. This is simply a show of dominance. The fans in Vegas treat Casey like he is this mighty giant and so when I break the giant then people will remember my name.

And if Mark Ward ask me back to take apart another superstar then that is just what I will do. I have looked at the roster in Vegas long enough to not really be concerned. Heck all the best talent I see in this place is working for Ward anyways. So who knows how long I can make this last. Hell man, I could be in business for a long time.
Ata then laughs and holds out his arms in a show of victory. The smile on his face has a devious and predatory edge to it. Like some giant animal that knows his prey is trapped with no escape.

Ata Tupoi: Do you realize what you have gotten yourself into Casey!? I am not just a big man like you. I am driven by destiny. Not the kind of destiny you ramble about or sing about like a child. My destiny goes beyond Vegas or Canada. I will not stop until I am known as the most dominate force in this sport...do you really think some weak ass bodybuilder is going to stop me.

Check this Casey. You are a big man who happens to be an athlete. You might as easily turned out to be a construction worker or bouncer somewhere. You would always have been big and just like right now, you would always depend on your size. But me...brother. I am an athlete who happens to be big. I played Rugby all the way through college and trained to battle in MMA. Not only can I hit harder than you big man but I can get there faster. I will knock you on your ass before you figured out what happened. You can’t intimidate me. You can’t overpower me. This is not going to go well for you and honestly I don’t care. So rest up big man. Sing your song and gather around your NXT losers, because Sunday you make history as yet another body I left broken on the canvas.
