Zenna Zdunich watches her near two-year-old quadruplets, Morgana Ashley, Olive Yseult, Melissa Vivian and Stacy Guinivere playing on the floor of her hotel room, enjoying it as the four toddlers basically took turns trying to walk around the room for no reason in particular other than they could.
Her wife, Linnéa Lacroix, giggles like a schoolgirl watching their daughters.
Linnéa Lacroix: Just look at y'all go!
The accent always came out hard when Linnéa was excited. Zenna loved hearing the New Orleans come flying out of her Li's mouth.
Zenna Zdunich: Do you think they make a game of it?
Linnéa ponders this thought for a moment before nodding.
Linnéa Lacroix: Ja, they do. Morgan Ash will try to outdo all the others because she's the most competitive. She always tries to outdo her sisters. Livvy and Lissy try to keep up with her but settle for being even with each other. Little SG seems content to know she can do it some but is happy to go her own way on things.
Zenna nods her agreement with this assessment.
Zenna Zdunich: Lovie likes playing with them. She's good at getting them to try.
Lovie was Linnéa's cousin, Lovisa "Lovie" Vikström, who had come to New Orleans from Sweden with her sister, Ingrid, to help with babies.
Linnéa Lacroix: She has been a big help.
Zenna nods her agreement again.
Zenna Zdunich: It was a good idea to call them.
She sighs heavily.

She shrugs.
Zenna Zdunich: It seems strange to be talking about singles.
Shaking her head, Zenna whistles her disappointment.
Zenna Zdunich: No Fallen Angels, no Wildside, no team.
Her face crinkles with sadness mixed with annoyance.

She shakes her head again.

Zenna nods slowly, almost sadly.

Linnéa hugs her wife.

Zenna kisses her wife and smiles.
