[Sam Marlowe]

Three months ago…
\’she said what?” demanded a very angry cockney as a redhead sat on a comfortable chair, dejectedly rubbing along the ears of Bear who is loving each second of the attention even though it is not fully on him.  |he leans closer which brings a smile to the lips of Sam Marlowe.  “I can’t believe the bollocks on that dragon!”

“Listen Ben, you know they are big as brass,” taunts a voice from a screen to the side of Sam.  Sitting there, Jamie Dean smirks as he holds his hands up to mimic the size of holding big brass balls in his hands.  Ben shakes his head as Sam can’t help but gasp then giggle at the image.  “Besides, Sam’s there now so all is good right?”

“Y’all gotta realize Jamie that Cyn’s muckin’ about in my marriage and Colton’s changed because of it.  She keeps harpin on the fact that I am friends with Ben and it is drivin’ him crazy with jealousy,” says Sam before a rather British scoff his heard.  “Listen you, y’all didn’t hear what she was sayin’ or how she was speakin’ but Colton was all ears.”

“Ginge, I don’t know when your sister is going to get a scooby but she being a c..” begins Ben only to have Sam glare at him with a finger pointed straight at him.  “I wasn’t going to say that word.  I was going to say codswallop…yeah, that’s a word,” 

Jamie mutters good save which has Ben beaming with pride as Sam rolls her eyes.

“Tell us again what happened,” says Jamie…

Flashback
Sam Marlowe is sitting on the back deck of her parents home relaxing in the sun with a pair of sunglasses covering her eyes that are closed as she enjoys the heat of the sun.  Beside her is her husband is relaxing reading a book and looking like he’s intent on the book. 

Suddenly the screams of young children are heard as a pair of boys stream out of the house followed by Cyn Marlowe dressed in a pair of jeans and a turtleneck with a pair of large glasses.  She has a parcel in her hands as she moves towards the pair who are on the deck.

“Samantha, something came here for you,” drawls Cyn as she holds out the box towards Sam.  Sitting up, Sam pushes her glasses upward and looks surprised.  She reaches out and grabs the package.  She begins to pry it open as Cyn sits beside Connor and watches sneakily.

“What is in the box Sam?” asks Colton as he leans the book onto his chest and peers over at the redhead who whoops in glee as she finally sees what the item is inside the box.  Pulling out a black tee, Sam holds it up against her chest revealing the newest bit of promotional material for SCW.  Looking up at Colton, she is smiling which slowly starts to fade at the look on his face.

“What is that look for Camo?” asks Sam as Cyn tsks.  Sam turns to her sister who offers a suffering smile at Colton while shaking her head.

“Don’t you think that it is time you start thinking of your marriage and husband Sammi?  You are not taking his opinion into consideration.  After all. There are the two of you in this marriage.  Have you given any thought to that?” muses Cyn.  “Have you even thought that maybe he wants you home so the two of you can start a family…”

“But Colton knows how much my career means to me,” Sam replies with a glance at Colton who is shaking his head.  “Don’t you?”

“I thought that since you stopped wrestling last year, you would have had enough.  Y’all aren’t getting any younger you know,” Colton answers, looking at Cyn who agrees with him.

“Colton is right Sammi.  You are older and wrestling in the types of matches you have been has probably lowered your chances for children.  And Colton has been telling me that he can’t wait for your career to be over and then the two of you could move back here to Texas and raise a couple of little ones like my two over there,” offers Cyn with a smile at her kids who are screaming and hollerin’ as they run around.

“I am still young enough to still wrestle,” argues Sam.

“With your buddy Ben though right?  Isn’t that the reason you are still wrestling,” Cyn asks slyly, egging on Colton with a nudge against his shoulder.  “I mean the two of you are like thick as thieves Sammi.  Iffen I didn’t know any better, I swear the two of you were…well you know…”

Cyn lets that comment hang in the air as she watches Colton get up off the chair and glares at Sam who looks shell shocked.  He looks ready to explode but just grunts in what sounds like disgust before turning and stomping off.  Sam gets to her feet and is about to follow him when Cyn grabs her by the arm to stop her.

“Was it something I said Sammi?” she wonders with a look of a cat who just ate a canary.

“Y’all are the dragon that Ben says you are,”growls Sam before she walks away with her hands clenched.

“So you see, every time Cyn is around Colton, buttons are pushed and I have to deal with the fall out.  I am tired…so tired.  So that is why I am here in London,” says Sam.

“Don’t believe that Ginge…Bear told me it is because you needed to find the best kabab..speaking of, ya owe me one,” teases Ben in attempt to lighten the mood only to have Sam swat at him and mumble Prat as she does.

   

Once again I am going to be stepping into the ring with some pretty high stakes…pardon the pun.  This week in Amsterdam, I am stepping into the Blast from the Past semifinals against Laura Phoenix.

Before I go much further I have to really let it be known that I came back for this tournament and with not much of a plan coming out of this other than going as far as I can in the tournament and then either win my shot at a title or walk away.  But I realized in the first match that I had back, it was in my blood to be wrestling so this is me making a very interesting proposition when it comes to SCW.

Right now I will make it known that for the tournament, you will be getting all of Sam Marlowe.  And when that is finished with the last bell of me either winning this tournament or washing out this week, I will be making my mind up on where I will go from there.

Now, let me talk about what is going to be happening this week on Climax Control.  It is the semi finals where we have seen some big names move on in this tournament and then we have the match that I am in this week against Laura Phoenix.  And all I can say is wow, can you imagine this?  You have on one hand, a very wily veteran who has been wrestling for a long time but is a very strong opponent and then you have me…a veteran who has held some titles..also held some records and am a hall of famer.  So I think that I might have made a name for myself.

But this match isn’t to make a name for one’s self.  This match is to see who will move on and who will have their title dreams derailed for the moment.  And I am sure that Laura is ready for me because she is known to be ready for any challenge and tends to overcome it easily.

I am not going to make it easy for her.  If..and I do mean if Laure manages to be ready for me, is she going to be ready to deal with what I am, not only ready to step into the light as more of a challenge to all the bombshells but as the woman that is going to beat her in the middle of the ring where she will be put completely to the test.

I have been training and I have decided that this is what I want and I am going to do what needs to be done to move to the next round, this I promise you.
