Despite Caleb’s successful attempt to get himself in the Internet Title Match at Violent Conduct, Teddy still walked out with the Internet Title in his hands after Senor Vinnie was pinned but as we enter the last Supercard Cycle of the year and High Stakes X was on the horizon Caleb had an opportunity to bounce back from that set back, only issue? It was against former Internet Champion (and the first one to hold it after it’s reactivation) Austin James Mercer! Caleb previously challenged Austin for the title in the Main Event of a Climax Control to no success and now they were meeting again several months later, can Caleb win?

Well, I tried.
In the end Teddy would retain the title against me and Vinnie after he pinned Vinnie and the most I can say is at least I didn’t get pinned, and now I’ve got a whole two weeks to think about what’s coming next in the coming weeks as we head towards the last PPV of this god forsaken year 2020.
And much like the last cycle, I have no plans heading into the Supercard Cycle for High Stakes X but at least the year end awards won’t be bringing up any painful memories for me!
Jessie? Maybe, me? Nah.
“You did your best babe.” Katie greeted me as I emerged from the ringside area and I looked up to see her. “But at least you didn’t get pinned.”
“Can’t really argue with that.” I nodded in agreement before I kissed Katie, there was still other matches to come and unlike the Internet Title Match, I hadn’t inserted myself into any of them, so I at least had a chance to relax for the night. “I just need to plan for the next cycle really.”
“How about we return to the spot we were watching the action from previously first?” Katie suggested and I nodded in agreement before we walked off.
*two weeks later*
Like pretty much every Supercard Cycle before it, this past week has just flown by and I had spent most of it either playing Mario 35 or writing a new batch of song parodies, we were now on the Sunday following Violent Conduct and I had just gotten an e-mail from the SCW Brass regarding the next card.
“They’ve announced the next card already?” Katie asked as she read the e-mail over my shoulder. “Any sign of your name on it?”
“I’ll tell you in a second babe.” I responded before looking at the card, Violet vs. Pandora, Maki vs. Sierra and there it was, first Superstar match of the night and it was a rematch against the first Internet Champion after the belt was reactivated. “You know, I think Christian might still be mad at me for getting myself inserted into the Internet Title match.”
“Why? Did he put you in an MMA Rules match against Fenris?” Katie asked rhetorically and I shook my head before showing her the match. “Huh, a rematch against Austin, somehow that’s less bad than what I was expecting.”
“That’s a really high bar you set for yourself.” I commented as I shook my head. “But at least I don’t have to worry about earning his respect this time.”
*the Friday before Climax Control 281, at Caleb’s studio*
Wonder if Katie would mind if I just moved here permanently? I mean it’s practically my second home!
But yeah, my loss at Violent Conduct and my failure to come up with a working solution to the issue faced by my planned song parody (namely, that I left it too late and couldn’t find anyone willing to do it) has done little to stifle my creative process but I have come up with a new way to test the songs.
See if my dog will howl along to my recorded song parodies, no I’m not kidding.
“I would say that this is the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen since entering the wrestling business.” Katie commented as she watched me play the recordings to Lemmy, so far, his reactions had been limited too head tilts and bringing his toys too me and I can’t tell if those reactions are good or not, I may love dogs but I’m not a dog whisper! “But then I remember that that match between Candy and Sin took place at Violent Conduct, seriously it felt like I was on an acid trip throughout!”
“A bad acid trip or a good acid trip?” I asked Katie who shrugged her shoulders in response. “Also, I never realised until now that “Candy vs. Sin” either sounds like a weird webcomic or a weird porno, can’t make my mind up on which.”
“Just don’t search for Candy vs. Sin on PornHub, I’d hate to imagine the results from that search!” Katie sighed in response as she ran a hand down her face. “Also, that’s the second time this year that the Bombshell Roulette Championship has changed hands on a PPV in an Inferno March, weird, huh?” Katie asked upon remembering something and I nodded.
“Weird, or a perfect way to sum up 2020 in a nutshell?” I asked and Katie could only shrug again, as I played the next parody Lemmy howled almost immediately and I was satisfied. “Yep, that’s the song parody I’m going for!”
“If you had told me that this was what Caleb would be doing in two years, I think I would’ve rejected his marriage proposal.” Katie muttered under her breath before motioning for Lemmy to leave the room so I could work, and he could pee.
*promo time*
Now that some time had passed it was time for my promo against Austin James Mercer and whilst the Internet Championship wasn’t up for grabs this time (for obvious reasons) I still planned to come out the winner.
“Austin James Mercer, it’s been a while hasn’t it? Last time we faced, you were still the Internet Champion and I was without a title, what’s changed since then? The fact that we’re both without titles and the fact that I’m not trying to win your respect this time around, no this time I’m out to win the match and bounce back from my match for the Internet Championship at Violent Conduct, it just so happens that I’m facing a former Internet Champion in the process!”
This’ll be good!
“Obviously, a lot of other stuff has happened since then Austin, you are now in a group with the Bombshell Roulette Champion and Alex Jones and I’m writing song parodies, that doesn’t seem to match up well, doesn’t it? But stranger things have happened in the wrestling business as we both know, and I intend to prove just how true that saying is by beating you clean as a whistle at this Sunday’s Climax Control!”
But I know it won’t be that easy.
“If it was that easy to beat you Austin, your Internet Title Reign would’ve ended against me but, well, that didn’t happen obviously! What is going to happen is that I’m going into this match with the mindset that I’m putting forth 120% of my effort! That’s right, 120%, why? Because that’s ten percentages higher than 110% and 110% is almost as big a cliché as lesbians are in women’s wrestling! Don’t act like you don’t know it’s true!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
“Last time we faced off Austin, I was trying to earn your respect by kicking your ass in the ring, this time? I just want to kick your ass in the ring since there isn’t any respect to be earned or any titles to be won, you can thank Teddy for that by the way but you? You had better brace yourself because there’s a storm brewing, otherwise you’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms as I go back to the drawing board!”
I walked off as the scene fades.
