5 Months Ago In June
Shortly after Teddy and Kate’s first tag team match in SCW we are taken to the backstage area where we are able to see Teddy Steele shaking his head with a very disgusted look on his face. He offers a long sigh as he sits down on bench as he doesn’t bother to lift his eyes up. Instead he keeps them fixed on the crowd as he seems too afraid too afraid to glare at his wife. He just sits there quiet as his wife speaks to him.
“Babe you need to stop taking things too hard. We can bounce back from this. It’s not really that much of a big deal. Teams lose all of the time but it’s not about how much we fall but it’s all about how we find ourselves getting back up. It’s about how we jump back into the fray. As long as we focus on one another we can do whatever it takes to get to where we need. It’s not really that much of a big deal. So pick yourself up let’s head back to the hotel room and we can maybe try this again on another day…”
Teddy just sighs as he stands up on his feet. He bangs on the lockers as he glances back at his wife.
“How can you even sit there and tell me that things are going to be okay?! We just lost to the Metal Maniacs, the same fucking team that the company feeds to everybody so they can feel good about themselves and spring right into the heart of competition. Yet WE LOST TO THAT TEAM… I LOST TO THAT TEAM BECAUSE I GOT PINNED! I let you down and it’s just apparent that I am going to be a joke forever! I wasn’t built for this like you are! I was never meant to be more than anything than a glorified cheerleader. I am a manager at best and I have to live and accept that.”
Kate quickly goes over to her husband and she embraces him into a long passionate hug.
“Babe… It’s okay and I don’t feel like you are a letdown by any means. You did your best and that’s all that really matters in the end right?!”
Teddy shakes his head with a sigh as he gazes down into the eyes of his wife.
“Don’t give me that bloody bullshit Kate. You don’t live with the same shit that I have to live with. Every single day people question my manhood. You know you are my entire world and I would do anything for you but the reality is you are the breadwinner in our family. Everybody thinks I am living off of you and I know it should be a blessing that you have a lot of money. You come from a very wealthy family and that’s a great thing but for me as a man I don’t want to feel like that. I want to at least feel like I am in a position where I can provide for both you and Juliet. I need to feel like a man and I really don’t feel that vibe…”
Teddy sighs again and this time some tears start flowing down his cheeks as he continues to speak.
“You will probably think it’s silly of me to act this way but the reality is that everybody will look at me like I am a failure. You won’t ever feel that way because you are Kate Steele. Things seem to always be so good for you. Just last month you got to wrestle in the main event of your home town of London and challenge for the World Championship. You are the longest reigning Roulette Champion of all time and you were a former Internet Champion. You have it made as far as amounting to something and it just seems like I don’t have that luxury. A few years ago I came into this business and it was revealed that I was one of Markus Reeves sons. Now I am just your husband and this comeback doesn’t seem like it is going anywhere. So why should I care about anything?!”
Kate looks at her husband sobbing as she walks over to him and gives him a long passionate hug. She gazes up into his eyes with a smile.
“You can’t feel like that. I know things seem down but you will definitely pull it together. The world will acknowledge you one day for being an amazing wrestler. You will gain the respect and nod from all. We just have to switch things up and it might require you to do some things you might not have ever seen yourself at doing…”
“Change what exactly?! I am a loser, and I will always be a loser. I don’t see what else can change about that. Nobody will ever respect me, or even notice me. What can possibly change?! You see you are very special Kate, you are truly a Diamond in the Rough when compared to me…”
Kate can’t help but smile as she looks back at her husband.
“A Diamond in the Rough you say?! I am quite that special right but Todd you have the power to be amazing too…”
“Kate you have wrestling, you have acting, you are even known in the music world. I am just a drummer with a stupid afro or as people call me in wrestling a comedy wrestler. There’s nothing special about me and without being attached to you what could I really accomplish?!”
Kate can’t help but smile again as she looks back at her husband.
“You have a really good point babe and what if we made you claim the entire world. What if we went about making sure that everything you said you weren’t actually came to fruition and we gave a reason for everybody to start taking you seriously…”
Teddy looks back at his wife and he seems befuddled as he just shakes his head in disbelief. He crosses his arms as he glares directly into her eyes.
“And what do you mean exactly. I am listening so please tell me what it is that is on your mind…”
“I guess what I am saying is that we need to make it where people will respect you. You might do some things that might involve you becoming the worst thing in all of wrestling…”
“Ohhh could I be on J2H level?!”
“Baby steps… Nobody can draw heat like he can and it would be hard to become the most hated person in wrestling overnight but let’s start small. In order to be taken seriously and to show change you have to change which requires a makeover. So what I am thinking is what if you wore makeup!”
“MAKEUP… Look I don’t know what you are thinking but I would never wear makeup… It’s just something I wouldn’t do not in a million years…”
“But look at Griffin! He wears it all the time. He spends like hours on our tour bus all of the time trying to make sure his makeup is on point. It could be a great change. “
“KATE! WHAT IF I BECAME THE GOD OF 80’S HAIR METAL MUSIC!!!”
Kate rolls her eyes.
“That’s Griffin’s entire thing! You just can’t do the same thing. That wouldn’t make any sense and…”
“I could maybe wear some high platform heels and…”
“Kate rolls her eyes.
“For a man who sounded like he didn’t want to do makeup you really are getting beside yourself when it comes to thinking of this entire thing. Look if it makes you feel better you could maybe form your entire band..Show the world you are more than just a drummer and…”
Teddy nods his head.
“Yes and remember how you had your own female only band with Kenzi Grey and I had to be left out of it. I should have been in Guilty Pleasure but of course I wasn’t allowed! Maybe I could have a female band behind me! Hell I could dress up like Jem from Jem & The Holograms!”
Kate begins to get excited as she continues to speak.
“And your band could be called Teddy & The GEMS!!!!”
“Yes and my girls that accompany me on stage could be my GEM STONES!!!!! They could play drums, bass, and of course guitar. Who could we get to play on stage with me?!”
Kate smiles as she points at herself.
“Me of course… I am your wife you can’t have a band without having your Diamond right?!”
“Yeah that would be amazing but you are tied to Griffin’s band. It would be hard to rip you away from that contract, but I could use an Emerald, a Sapphire, maybe even a Ruby!! There would be so many GEMSTONES THE WRESTLING WORLD COULD CALL ME THE THANOS OF WRESTLING AND THE METAL WORLD!!! I COULD LIKE WEAR ALL OF THE GEMS ON MY ARMS!”
“AHEM!!!!”
“But of course my Diamond would be my most precious one… You are the best guitarist on the planet. I need to have that in my life… But how can we build you up as being my Diamond and you being tied to Griffin at the same time?!”
“You let me deal with that… After all you said I am an amazing actress right?! So let me do what I do best. I will get you everything you want you just need to trust me babe. I need you to make it believable. So I will get you your band. I will be your Diamond and you just need to go with the flow. Become the most evil person you possibly can. Be a womanizer make it absolutely believable…”
“I will babe… Trust in your husband… Thank you… I fully believe in you…”
With that Kate and Teddy can’t help but make out with one another as we go to a different image.
On Camera
The camera lands on teddy Steele and he has a smirk on his face.
Well Griffin it has come down to this. You and I locking up with one another to end this feud once and for all. We have been through some shit and I respect you offering me a chance at a rematch if I ever wanted.
The fact is I don’t want it however. I have new plans on my mind and the Roulette Championship isn’t one of them. My focus is on helping my wife on her way and that’s what my focus has always been. I am the most hated man in the wrestling world. I cherish my award with pride and I really didn’t get a chance to say anything when we fought the last time.
Now I do and to be honest I really don’t give a fuck. This is my last match as Teddy Steele so enjoy it. See you soon!
