Caleb ended his lost week by picking up the win over Stephan Callaway in the opening match and, as Caleb had predicted prior to his match Mark Ward would announce the fourth man in the Fatal Four Way Match at High Stakes IX namely the returning Mark Cross! And as a preview of the Fatal Four Way match with title implications the four men would clash in a tag team match at Climax Control 250 as Jake Raab and Stephan Callaway teamed up to take on Caleb Storms and Mark Cross, can Caleb continue his winning ways?

Before anyone asks, this was Katie’s idea.
Now that we’ve got that out the way, I have to say that I’m feeling good about last week and why shouldn’t I? I picked up the win over Stephan Callaway and just as I predicted the fourth man in the Fatal Four Way Match was announced later that night as the returning Mark Cross making the Fatal Four Way Match in three weeks’ time between me, Jake Raab, Stephan Callaway and Mark Cross with possible title implications for the winner.
Little did I know that Mark was also announcing my tag team partner for this week’s Climax Control when he made that announcement.
Yeah as it turns out, I was a little hasty in calling my match against Stephan Callaway on last week’s Climax Control a prelude to High Stakes because if anything, this is a bigger prelude to High Stakes! Off course come High Stakes any friendships that will be formed in this match will go out the window and it’ll be everyman for himself but until then me and Mark Cross will have to work together to take out Jake Raab and Stephan Callaway.
Either way, I don’t want my win over Stephan to be a one off!
So, how did we end up on a sailboat? Well after the debacle last week where we were left behind by our tour group I decided to let Katie chose the location for my next promo, renting the sailboat was her idea and once we cleared it with the bosses we got sailing, even though we don’t have much experience sailing.
Never thought I’d be in a position where an SCW cameraman has the fear of god put in him by one of our activities but here we are.
“God, they make this thing look so much easier on TV.” Katie groaned as she struggled to steer the sailboat, only thing missing was a few beers and this would be a total epic fail, but I digress, at least we agreed to rent a larger boat later for more private time if you catch my drift. “Maybe I should’ve left the activity choice to you Caleb?”
“Oh, now you think that?” I asked mockingly as I leaned forward. “Wasn’t it you that insisted that you chose because of last week’s debacle?”
“As I said, they make sailing look so easy on YV.” Katie responded as she shook her head, I could tell that she was already ready to head back to the mainland before she capsized that boat and before anyone asks, I’ve already tried and my efforts made Katie’s look like those of an Olympic Level Athlete, I only regret that the camera wasn’t rolling when that was going on! “When we get to Barbados next week, why don’t we just agree to make sure our chosen activity is something we can both do?”
“Well, you were the one who insisted that sailing was easy based on what you saw on TV.” I responded as I shook my head whilst Katie started steering the boat back to shore, at least we won’t have to worry about my efforts becoming a viral sensation, right? “But instead it made my decision to tweet “THANK GOD” after Fenris lost the title earlier this year look like the best decision ever made in the history of mankind.”
“Okay, I don’t think I’d go that far!” Katie laughed before she finally steered the ship into port and we got off the boat, after I paid for the…….experience we stopped by a nearby café for lunch. “Besides, you’ve only got that incident on your mind because your up for two year end awards because of that incident.”
“All because I made the dumbest tweet ever, I swear if there was a “dumbest tweet award” I’d be the sole nominee for this year!” I added and Katie grinned in response before we ordered our drinks. “Not sure who would’ve won last year.”
“You really expect me to remember tweets from a year ago?” Katie asked with a raised eyebrow and I shook my head once I realized that she had a point. “I can keep track of old posts on Facebook just fine thanks to the memories feature, but Twitter doesn’t have that feature yet.”
“And considering how long it took them to extend the character limit I’m not holding my breath on that being added anytime soon.” I responded and Katie had to agree as the waiter brought our drinks over, the rest of the hour or so passed without incident and whilst Katie went off to rent the boat for the day for more intimate reasons, I got ready to do my promo.
“Well, we made it, Climax Control 250 is just around the corner and the show after that is High Stakes IX, now last week not only did I get the win over Stephan Callaway in the opener but Mark Ward proved me right by announcing that Mark Cross was the fourth man in the Fatal Four Way Match at High Stakes! Well this week there is another preview match as I team up with Mark Cross to take on Stephan Callaway and Jake Raab!”
No prizes for guessing who I’m starting with.
“You’re a glutton for punishment, aren’t you Stephan? Getting beaten by me once wasn’t enough for you, you had to go and get booked in this match against me as well! Well the old saying ,might go “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”, a saying that Jessie Salco has been living off for the past three years, your going to keep failing to beat me Stephan and once the dust is settled me and Mark Cross will be standing tall.”
Next up is Jake.
“To thank, this match only came about because Jake Raab pissed off Mark Ward a couple of weeks ago, then again based on my meeting with him at the first show of the Supercard Cycle that shouldn’t surprise me one bit! Last time we faced off was when I was in the Feud of the Year award nominated feud with Fenris which I’d much rather forget for my own reasons, well a lot has happened since then and I don’t care what you have to say Jake because me and Mark are heading into High Stakes the winners of this match!”
It’s that simple.
“Last week I called the match against Stephan Callaway a prelude to High Stakes, well, if that was the prelude than this is the preview and whilst it won’t be a complete prediction of that match’s outcome since it’ll end with one man standing tall, whichever team does win will go into High Stakes with a lot of momentum on their side and that team will be the team of me, Caleb Storms and my partner Mark Cross!”
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
“And don’t get me wrong, this match may be a tag team match, but I’ll be using it to scout my opponents in the Fatal Four Way and see what they can do! Mark just returned and I hope for our team’s sake that he doesn’t have any ring rust and as for Stephan and Jake, this will be a preview for High Stakes because they had better brace themselves because a storm is brewing, otherwise they’ll be blown away by “The Metal Storm” Caleb Storms and Mark Cross!”
I went off to join my wife as the scene fades.
