I wish I knew what it was like
To care enough to carry on
I wish I knew what it was like
To find a place where I belong
Prologue-The Journey
16th of June 1991. I was born in Atlanta Georgia. The first child in my family. Born to a socialite mother and a professional wrestler father. Their relationship was looked down upon by my mother’s family. They saw my father as trash, they saw their relationship as a mistake. And after my brother was born, when I was 5 years old that friction caused my father Jason to leave.
I lacked that fatherly guidance, I lacked that help in forming my own identity. I let my mother influence me and as time went on that became damaging. I was locked into a relationship with a man who learned how to be an abusive asshole from his own father. He gave me two beautiful boys but also made me feel like I had nothing. I was at the bottom of the barrel.
I left with nothing but a few clothes, my passport, and a dream. I snuck out in the middle of the night, went to the airport and flew off to Japan. I spent years learning my craft, applying what I learned as well as taking beatings day after day after day. I was told I didn’t belong, I was told that it just wasn’t for me. But I never gave up, I never quit. I knew what I needed, what I wanted and what I would have to go through to get there.
And no matter how bad the beating as that I took in the ring or the dojo it was nothing compared to what I took from Ronnie back home as I grew up.
My heart was in it, my body would take it all in and I learned that I wasn’t made of glass. When I got hit I didn’t shatter. In fact, I got stronger. I became more determined. And when I came back to the united states I started running through the competition. I dominated everywhere I’ve been. From WWH to Liberty Pro, to IWF, LAW, Honor and now SCW
I came back to be the best, to face and beat the best, and that’s what I’ll be doing this week….
Scene One-Defending the legacy

New York, New York
A year and a half ago
It was a beautiful fall day in the suburbs of New York, the outskirts of the city. Alicia Lukas stood in her kitchen humming to herself happily, her body language showing relaxation as she pulled her cup of tea up to her face taking in the calming aroma. She takes a sip and looks over hearing footsteps as Michael Reynolds walks into the kitchen. His flowing brown hair a slight mess as Alicia stops and stares.
He gave her a small smile across his boyish facial features, his beard and eyes making him look a good ten years younger than he had a right to. Not that Michael was old, far from it. But he was older than Alicia but somehow looked the same age or younger. His body was fit, tight and strong without being overly muscled. He wore a pair of bed shorts opening the fridge to grab milk. Alicia cupped her tea in her hands still staring as Michael just gave her a small laugh.
“See something you like Miss Lukas?” She blushed, realizing she had been staring before looking away setting her drink down. Michael slid the milk onto the kitchen bench before moving his hands up and around her midsection pulling her body back towards his. A whisper crossing her ears. “Is that one of my shirts?” Alicia couldn’t help but laugh before tilting her head slightly to look him in the eyes. “Rule number one of relationships honey, what’s mine is mine and what’s yours is mine.” Michael just stepped back with a grin to make a coffee before looking back over at Alicia, her long blonde hair untied and unkempt but flowing down her shoulders and back.
“It looks better on you anyway love.” He laughed to himself taking a sip of coffee before looking over the paper on the bench with a sigh. “I’m kind of enjoying this.” His voice was light and breezy, Alicia gave him a small chuckle and tilted her head. “Enjoying what?” Michael put his coffee down and looked her right in the eye. “Being here with you, not having to rush around right now. A few days to actually be...well, a couple.”
She blushed and looked down. “I know my life is hectic, I know we spend so much time on the road and we have to be separated, I don’t like that part but, it’s my life you know?”
Michael stepped forward and moved his hand up, his fingertips dancing across her cheek before sliding her long hair behind her ear. “I wouldn’t change you for the world. But I just wonder, how long will you be able to keep this pace up Ali?” She raised her eyebrows and gave a small shrug. “I honestly don’t know. I don’t take time off that much, I work through injuries, I turn up to every event I’m booked for….this is all I wanted for so long….and now…”
“Now what?” He turned his head and leaned close. “Now I want to enjoy my life as well as do what I love.” He gave her a small kiss and laughed to himself. “I’m here Ali, I’m not going anywhere, I don’t ask you to reconsider, I’m here for your career as well. But falling in love with you wasn’t a goal it just happened….”
“I know, but I want to leave a legacy in this business when people hear my name I want them to smile and remember me as one of the best and...wait...in love with me?” She stopped mid-sentence and stared at Michael, his eyes lit up as he smiled again pulling her to him. “Yes, in love with you….and because of that...you know I’ll have your back.”
New York City
The following Week
Alicia sat waiting at the table in a beautiful little cafe in downtown Manhattan. Her long hair usually tied back or left down was styled, curled and seemed to bob down her shoulders and back. Her face made up with light makeup and bright red lipstick, she took a deep breath fiddling through her bag before a hand pulled the chair across from her out. Alicia jumped but smiled wide seeing Michael slide down leaning on the table. “Nice place, any reason why we’re meeting them here?. Anything I should know?.”
Alicia shook her head from side to side before taking a deep breath, she went quiet and seemed to stare away at a random point on the wall. Michael raised his eyebrow looking over at it not seeing anything of note, his heart sank at her distance, a worry that he had done something to offend her. His hand drifted across touching hers lightly causing Alicia to jump ever so slightly. She had only ever done that once before. A few nights ago as Michael wrapped his arms around her after A nightmare. His hand pulled back, Alicia opened her mouth as if to say something but stopped looking horrified. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to….Look, Michael, I can call Ronnie and tell him not to worry about this. We can do it another time” She shot him a smile, it was forced. He could tell instantly. Many had been fooled by Alicia’s smile before. A forced one she would put on to the world to hide what was behind it. But Michael knew, he figured it and her out very fast. He sighed and leaned in close away from the walls that had ears. “Are you embarrassed by me? “
“Emba-what?..NO!.” The joke caught her off guard, for a moment she believed him to be serious but as he shot her the boyish grin hidden behind his perfect cheekbones and bright eyes she relaxed and gave him a small smile, a real one this time. She swallowed hard and bit her bottom lip nervously. “You don’t know what he’s like Michael. My ex. He will try and antagonize you, he will be rude and hide it in sarcasm. He’ll try and get you to say something or act irrationally. He got Chris to flip, I lost my boys for 2 months. Travis had to be held back and he threatened to take them away….you don’t know what he….he’ll say things”
Michael raised an eyebrow and sat back with his arms folded over his chest, his confidence putting her at ease but not enough to match it. She took a sharp breath in again and shook her head. “He’ll try and make me feel uncomfortable. And he’ll usually succeed. For years I smiled in the faces of my family and friends while he charmed them. And behind closed doors, I lived a nightmare. That’s why I ran and now, well now because most people know what he is and his father has passed?....he doesn’t hide it...he still thinks I’m his.”
“You cannot own someone Ali” His voice was soft and calm, his eyes warm and loving. “You can give yourself to someone, you can be with them and care, there is nothing he’ll be able to do or say to rattle me. He’s not impressive, he won’t be intimidating. Anyone who does to someone they “love” what he did to you is a scared insecure child. Begging for attention. Right or wrong.” She smiled again and reached forward squeezing his hands. “I know I shouldn’t let him get to me. I’m 26 years old. I’ve traveled the world, I’ve survived this long”
“Survived?.” Michael scoffed and looked shocked and surprised. “You’ve thrived. You went from a scared young woman trying to get away from a bad situation into a strong one capable of living up to her mistakes and her regrets head on without hiding. Ronnie was a mistake. The boys aren’t. And Ronnie won’t have a hold over them. And I’m honored to be able to meet them.”
He smiled again, this time it was a huge full one that made Alicia light up, she leaned across the table kissing him slowly, their hands between them as many of the other customers looked over. As Alicia pulled back she sighed seeming to have calmed down. Her phone buzzed, she picked it up and took a deep breath in and out. “That was his current...whatever she is. They’ll be here in about five minutes. Said they can’t stay too long, that’s code for “fuck you and your new guy”...” Michael scoffed and folded his arms over his chest. “Charming….”
“It’s alright I don’t care. But thank you….you’ve made me feel better about all this...you brought me back from the brink….no one’s ever been able to do that before…. “ She smiled warmly “That’s what happens when you find your other half Ali…”She blushed and cleared her throat before her phone buzzed again. She looked up towards the entrance looking right past Ronnie and his girlfriend to the boys as they ran towards their mother. Alicia grinned and seemed to forget all about Ronnie, Michael stood up and shot a small smile…..
But it had only just begun…..
Scene Two: Crushing a British rose
On Camera
London England.
Present Day
”Mistakes are made…”
Alicia looks up slowly through her long blonde hair. It’s been left down as she sits on a park bench in London. A small smile on her ruby red lips as her hands clasped together, the general public walking by, staring at Alicia, some even recognizing her.
”My mistake, was believing Blade Alexander still had “it”. Believing I could trust him to hold up his end of the bargain to get through the Blast from the past. You see I had a plan. But that plan wasn’t to come to fruition because of him. This tournament is a great idea in theory. But in practice, a dominant champion like me has to carry dead weight along. And in the end, that failed. If it had been myself and Alex?. Well, that tournament would be ours and I could have gone on with my plan. I would have chosen my next challenger….”
And it would have been Seleana Zdunich.”
“It wouldn't have been some idiot with a briefcase, it wouldn’t have been the disappearing Dani Weston, it wouldn’t have been Crystal Zdunich. It would have been her. Because she earned it.”
“But, the best-laid plans can still fail and unfortunately we have to wait for that match. See at London Brawling two things that will shape our division for the next few months will happen. First off, we will see the finals of the Blast from the past. Alex Jones and Devona will face Kale Smith and Brittany Williams. The winning team gets their title opportunities o the number one contender for MY SCW world bombshells title will be set. And after that?...well...after that I defend said title against Kate Steele….”
Alicia can’t help but chuckle as she sits back on the bench, one leg crossing over the other as her arms slide across the back of her seat.
”The main event. Again. I should just change my name to The main event the way I’m going. See that’s what I do, I elevate opponents to the main event and get them that payday and that exposure. In fact, the entire division should stand in line and shake my hand with a hearty “thank you.”. When I step in the ring and defend a title it’s a celebration, it’s an event, it is “must see”. And at London Brawling 2, live from Wembley Arena here in London. A legendary arena, for a legendary champion, will become a battleground. And the thing is Kate, I gave you a warning, I told you what was going to happen and I even went further, I looked you in the eye and I told you what kind of mistake you were making…”
“That contract you won could have been used at any time. It could have been used after I got done with a blast from the past match, you could have got me at a time when I was weak when I was vulnerable. But you didn’t. You wanted your moment, didn’t you?. You wanted to go to London beat me in Wembley arena, to have that heartwarming moment in front of the only fans on this planet that can stomach you. Your hometown crowd where most are friends and family.”
“That was a mistake, Katie…”
“That was a major fuck up…”
“See in your eagerness to try and have that moment and prove yourself to me and to the division you gave up all your advantages and elements of surprise. Before I walked out and signed that contract you said I was getting the “best” Kate Steele and you know I’m happy about that. I want the best Kate steel there is, I want a Kate Steele who will bring the fight. There's just one problem..this isn’t the best Kate Steele…”
Alicia shakes her head and sits forward before standing up showing herself to be wearing a “wolsflair” red and black shirt with herself, Austin and Alex on it as well as the logo and black jeans with red converse.
“The best Kate Steele is a sneaky, arrogant, self-serving little bitch. People may not like that Kate Steele but it’s true when you are only out for yourself with your nose in the air you are at your best and you are dangerous. This Kate Steele. This smiling “honorable” fake?. This isn’t you at your best. This is you preparing to get your ass kicked. See I’m not like Jesse Salco or any of the other wannabe potato’s you’ve been able to get the better of. I’m Alicia fucking Lukas. Someone who you should by now know quite well.”
“For every accomplishment, you have had, I’ve been better. For every moment in the sun you have been able to shine in, I have had more. The last three years the entire wrestling world, especially when it comes to women’s wrestling, it’s been about me.”
“That might sound arrogant but it’s just facts.”
“You were the first LAW world champion and since then you have bounced around different companies and have never been able to match that initial moment. You have tried so hard to pull your way up that ladder using everything at your disposal from cheap mind tricks and politicing backstage to cheating in the ring and all the while you have done nothing but fail. And I get it Kate, all that can change in one moment with a win over me…”
Alicia snaps her fingers and shakes her head.
”Just like that Katie, you can be vindicated in everything you have ever said. You can have your hand raised and let the tears fall as they strap the Bombshells title around your waist, you can celebrate with your friends and family, you can jump into the crowd and there can be scenes that would be similar to England winning the world cup. But, unfortunately...that isn’t reality…”
She scoffs and rolls her eyes stepping back.
”The reality is that in this world there are winners and losers, there are people who stay true to themselves and rise up to become greater than even they thought possible and become a champion. And you aren’t one of those people Kate, because you have no idea who you are. See, I do. I know who I am. I’m a bitch, a hard-edged arrogant bitch who in the ring knows how good she is and will wait for someone to rise to my level. See, I know most of you aren’t there. Most of you aren’t up to that standard and that’s fine, you work and scratch and claw. Dani Weston was at that level, Dani Weston beat me, Seleana Zdunich deserves a chance to PROVE she’s at that level. You don’t. You won a match more based on luck than skill to get a shot at me and even then almost lost that.”
“And while I have been in the main event, while I have been a two-time champion and I took the championship into the Blast from the past ready to defend it against anyone you have been doing the bare minimum….”
“Story of your life Kate…”
“And the thing is, I’m not going to beat you at London Brawling because I have beaten you before, the truth is anyone can beat anyone else if they have the heart and instinct. I’m going to beat you at London Brawling because this championship deserves better. It deserves better than to be anywhere near someone like you. Someone who has no idea who and what they are, someone who is not on that championship level, someone who is lazy and does the bare minimum.Someone who would rather sit there and play her guitar than get in the gym and put in the hard work that will make her get better.”
“That isn’t a champion Kate, that isn’t worthy...that’s bullshit…”
“I have the heart, body, and soul of a champion. I’m mentally better than you, I am physically superior to you and when we get in the ring it’s going to be my chance to send a message to the rest of the division. To show that if they want that Bombshells title they have to put in that work, they have to bust their ass and they have to be more than whatever the hell you are this week….so at Wembley you bring your attitude, you bring that stupid little smile and you bring the entire crowd with you. Cause I am going to take everything you love, everything you think you have and I am going to burn it to the ground….”
